Pectoral Collar of Pinedjem I (1070-1032 BC) 21st Dynasty Pinedjem I (𓇋𓏠𓈖𓌸𓅮𓇛𓏭) “p3-nḏm=y mrı͗ ı͗mn” ‘Panedjemy, Beloved of Amun” was the High Priest 𓍛𓊹 “ẖm-nṯr” of Amun at Thebes 𓌀𓏏𓈈𓊖 “w3s.t” in Ancient Egypt from 1070 to 1032 BC and the de facto ruler 𓋾𓏘𓄿𓀭 “ḥqA” of the south of the country from 1054 BC. He was the son of the High Priest Piankh. However, many Egyptologists today believe that the succession in the Amun priesthood actually ran from Piankh to Herihor to Pinedjem I (Wikipedia). The design of the pectoral displays two bees 𓆤 “bity” (symbol of kingship of Lower Egypt 𓇾𓇊 “t3-mḥw”, which is the northern Delta) on opposite sides of Khepri, the scarab beetle 𓐍𓊪𓂋𓂋𓆣 “ḫprr”, representing the rising sun in the east 𓋁𓃀𓏏𓏭𓈊 “3b.t”. Underneath the scarab beetle is the symbol for the rising sun 𓈍 “ḫ3”, and above is the sundisk 𓇋𓏏𓈖𓇳 “ı͗tn” being carried forward by Khepri 𓆣𓂋𓇌 “ḫpri”. Who or What is the Ark of the Covenant?
Eli Kittim
The Ark of the Covenant was a gold-plated wooden chest that housed the two tablets of the covenant (Heb. 9:4). Jewish folklore holds that the ark of the covenant disappeared sometime around 586 B.C. when the Babylonian empire destroyed the temple in Jerusalem. Throughout the centuries, many writers, novelists, ufologists, and religious authors have invented two kinds of wild and adventurous stories about the ark of the covenant. They either talk about fearless treasure-hunters, archaeologists, and paleographers who went hunting for the Lost Ark of the Covenant, or about ancient alien civilizations that made contact with humans in prehistoric times. This has led some authors to the startling conclusion that the ark of the covenant may have been part of a highly advanced ancient-alien technology. But the Biblical data do not support such outrageous and outlandish conclusions.
From a Biblical standpoint, both the “ark of the covenant” and “Noah’s Ark” are symbols that represent salvation in the death of the Messiah. Isaiah 53:5 reads thusly:
he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;

upon him was the chastisement that
brought us peace, and with his wounds we
are healed.
We can also call it the covenant of salvation based on the atoning death of Christ (Heb. 9:17). If you pay close attention to the biblical symbols and details, you’ll notice that both Noah’s ark and the ark of the covenant represent some type of casket, which signifies the atoning death of the Messiah (that saves humanity). Christ’s covenant is based on his death. Without Christ’s death there is no salvation. That’s what ultimately redeems humanity from death and hell, and allows for resurrection and glorification to occur. Christ, then, is the ark of the covenant, also represented by Noah’s ark (which saves a few faithful humans who believe in God). The caskets are of different sizes. The smaller casket (the ark of the covenant) could only carry one person (the Messiah), whereas the larger one (Noah’s Ark) can accommodate all of humanity (symbolizing those who are baptized into Christ’s death). According to the Book “After the Flood,” by Bill Cooper, “The Hebrew word for ark, tebah, may be related to the Egyptian word db't, = ‘coffin.’ “ Romans 6:3 declares:
Do you not know that all of us who have
been baptized into Christ Jesus were
baptized into his death?
In other words, it’s not Christ’s incarnation but rather his death that saves humanity. All those who follow him and are baptized into his death are saved!
How is Christ the “ark of the covenant”? Christ is the Word of God (Jn 1:1), the Logos, or the Law of God (the Torah)! That’s why the ark of the covenant doesn’t dwell on earth but in heaven. Rev 11:19 reads:
Then God’s temple in heaven was opened,
and the ark of his covenant was seen within
his temple. There were flashes of lightning,
rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake,
and heavy hail.
Who dwells within God’s throne-room, within God’s temple, and is represented by the ark of the covenant? Answer: Jesus Christ! A similar scenario takes place in Revelation 21:2-3:
And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride adorned for her
husband. And I heard a loud voice from the
throne saying, ‘Behold, the dwelling place of
God is with man. He will dwell with them,
and they will be his people, and God himself
will be with them as their God.’
Notice that the terms “God” and “the dwelling place of God” are used interchangeably. In other words, the metaphors of the dwelling place, the tent of meeting (ἡ σκηνὴ τοῦ θεοῦ; i.e. the tabernacle), the temple and its sacrificial system, as well as the ark of the covenant, all represent God and signify the blood of the covenant or the blood of the lamb (1 Pet. 1:19; Rev. 7:14; 12:11)! Christ is not only the mediator between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5), but also the high priest who offers up his own life for the salvation of humanity (Heb. 7:17). According to Acts 4:12, there is “no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”: not Moses, or Muhammad, or Buddha, or Krishna, or Confucius, or Allah, or Yahweh. According to Philippians 2:10-11:
at the name of Jesus every knee should
bow, in heaven and on earth and under the
earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus
Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.
Therefore, he who is within the throne-room of God, and “among the people,” is none other than the Second person of the Trinity, Jesus Christ, who “will dwell with them” forevermore (Rev. 21:3). It’s a throwback to Leviticus, which prophesied the incarnation of God, but which the Jews misunderstood and misinterpreted. Leviticus 26:12:
I will be ever present in your midst: I will be
your God, and you shall be My people.
Compare Revelation 21.3:
He will dwell with them, and they will be his
people, and God himself will be with them
as their God.

#DailyDevotion Jesus Is The True High Priest In The True Temple Above.
Tumblr media
Heb. 8 Now, this is my main point. We have such a High Priest, and He sat down at the right of the throne of the Majesty in heaven to serve as Priest in the holy place and in the true tabernacle set up by the Lord and not by men. 3As every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices, this One, too, had to bring some sacrifice. 4If He were on earth, He wouldn't even be a priest, because there are priests who offer the gifts demanded by the Law. 5They serve a copy and a shadow of what is in heaven, as God told Moses when he was going to make the tabernacle: "Be careful to make all of it like the pattern you were shown on the mountain.” Well if you hadn't known what the author's main point was until now, at least for the last few chapters, you know it now. We have such a High Priest who is innocent, holy, and sinless who lives forever and serves forever. This High Priest is Jesus. He is the one who has sat down at the right of the throne of majesty. At the right hand of God, He serves as our High Priest, perpetually putting forth His blood before the Father's eyes, covering our sins and declaring it to be the propitiation for our sins. The Temple High Priest was appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices. Of course there were a number of "junior" priests who did a lot of the work of the temple and sacrificed the various sundry sacrifices brought by the people. These offerings, gifts and sacrifices were prescribed by the Law and were offered up by priests appointed by the Law. Jesus also had to bring some sacrifice, but not to the Temple on earth. He is not a priest for earthly service. The Law provided for those. He comes to be declared a High Priest by the oath of God to offer up heavenly sacrifices in the Temple above. He serves us and the Father as our High Priest in the true Holy Place and Tabernacle of God in Heaven, set up by God, not made by human hands. He offers up His body and His blood before the Father in Heaven who accepts them as the atoning sacrifice to make propitiation for our sins. The priest below only serves a copy. The author brings to mind these passages from Exodus: Ex. 25, 40 "And see that you make them according to the model you were shown on the mountain.” Ex. 26, 30 “Set up the tabernacle according to the plan you were shown on the mountain." I'm reminded of the Monty Python movie, "Quest for the Holy Grail," where Arthur's servant replies to the comment of how awesome Camelot looks with, "It's only a model." Indeed, the Tabernacle Moses built, the Temple Solomon built, and the Temple after the exile were only models of what Moses saw in heaven above. They were only a copy and shadow of the reality above. It's a little interesting that the Israelites were revealed this principle centuries before Plato and his cave were discussed. It was centuries before the idea of the logos from Greek philosophy came into being where the chair, the book, the lion and tiger etc., are just imperfect shadows of the real ones above. Our High Priest, according to the order of Melchizedek, Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the true High Priest who offers Himself in the heavenly Temple of the Almighty where He intercedes for us, for our salvation, presenting and pouring His blood upon the mercy seat of God our Father, declaring us innocent, justified, sanctified and glorified. Merciful God the Father, always look upon the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ, listen to His intercession for us and have mercy upon us, pouring out Your grace upon us that we may be presented to You with clear and pure consciences. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article

O Hierofante
Tumblr media

Oooh I just remembered another old casteship au I have!
Atem gets abandoned in the desert as a child by Akhnadin, who wants a bigger chance at attaining the throne. He gets found by a bunch of bandits who save him but end up selling him as a slave to an evil magician who lives in the middle of nowhere. Atem up grows up under his authority, completely forgetting his old identity. He isn't treated well, and there is no escape, so he tries to come up with a plan. Atem starts to secretly learn magic from the spellcaster and finds that he's quite good at it if not a little unreigned. The spellcaster ends up violently confronting him about it when he finds out, during which Atem's magic erupts in his state of panic, accidentally killing his master.
After a few moments of silence, Atem realises that he's being watched, and he turns to see a young Bakura curiously observing him in the middle of robbing the house. The two of them end up leaving together, and they become fast friends. Bakura has the experience surviving that Atem needs, and Atem has raw untamed magic, which Bakura really likes. They grow up together, Bakura becoming the King of Thieves, a bandit unrivalled by all, and Atem becoming the King of Games, a magical conman who wins every game he's presented with. The two of them share a deep bond, and they deeply care for each other. Unfortunately, they have no idea how to do romance while they're so busy planning their vengeance on the throne. And they're both hella awkward about emotions to begin with XD

High Priest Prowl, leader of the Black Star cult.
Have I mentioned the AU I'm working on? Honestly can't remember 😂 While working on Prowl's ref sheet, I got the urge to work on his Black Star AU design as well!
So in this AU, some mechs (mostly Praxians) can have visions of the future. Prowl is one such mech and foresees Cybertrons destruction! Over the span of many, many vorns, Prowl searches for a solution and comes into contact with a great, cosmic being he dubs the Black Star. This entity will help. But he has to come find them and free them from their slumber.
Prowl builds a faithful following and eventually has a ship commissioned for deep space travel. He and his cult embark on a long journey into the deep unknown!
I'm really excited to start fleshing this world out, I've got sooo many ideas!

#DailyDevotion Jesus Is Our Perfect High Priest
Tumblr media
#DailyDevotion Jesus Is Our Perfect High Priest Heb. 7 26 Here is the High Priest we needed - holy, innocent, spotless, separated from sinners, and risen higher than the heavens, 27Who doesn't need to bring sacrifices every day like those high priests, first for His own sins, then for the sins of the people. He did this only once when He sacrificed Himself. 28The Law appointed weak men to be high priests, but when God speaks with an oath later than the Law, He appoints the Son, Who was made perfect forever. So the Levitical priesthood was the best God could deal with until the fulfillment of time. They were only holy because God declared them so. They were only ritually spotless because of preparations from the Law. They were always sinners like the rest of us who offered up sin offerings for himself before offering them up for others. Our High Priest, the one we needed, is Jesus of Nazareth. He is Holy in Himself. He is God in flesh and holy by nature. He is innocent and spotless. There is no fault with Him. He was tempted in every way just as we are yet did not sin. He even asked His enemies to charge Him with any sin if they could and they could not. He is separated from sinners in as much as He never joined them, participating in their sinful behaviors. He has risen into heaven and sits at the right hand of God interceding for us night and day. He does not need to bring sacrifices every day like the Levitical high priests, for his sins and the sins of the people. The author is probably conflating the day of atonement and the daily sacrifices. Jesus, just once, on the cross offered up the one perfect sacrifice, Himself, on the cross. He died once for sin and having risen from the dead will never die again. He has gone into the heavenly Holy of Holies and poured out upon the mercy seat of God, when He died, His own blood which made atonement for our sins. His blood propitiated the Father whose holiness and righteousness says, the soul that sins must die. Since He is God and Man, His lifeblood superabundantly enough for sins of the people up to the point of His death and for all people, in all places and in all times. You cannot sin so much that there isn't enough of His blood to cover it. The Law of Moses, the Old Covenant, had weak men like ourselves be high priests who had to offer continually night and day, year after year, sacrifices for sin. But the LORD God made an oath, after the Law was instituted, to establish a new priesthood and a new Law. Remember, to instituted a new priesthood, the old covenant had to be abrogated and a new covenant established. In this New Covenant, God appoints His Son, Jesus Christ, as our High Priest forever. When it says He was made perfect forever, you should hear complete. It is the same as the word Jesus used on the cross, "It is finished." In time, Jesus needed to complete, fulfill the things of the Law. He needed to fulfill everything written of Him in Moses, the prophets and the writings. Having completed all those things He is now our perfect, complete, fulfilled High Priest forever. As our High Priest, Jesus is always interceding for us according to the will of the Father. His prayers there are always answered with, "Yes, yes, it shall be so." We need not fear there is not enough sacrifice for our sins. Such thinking is blasphemous to the work and person of Jesus Christ. We can always be assured and have a certain hope, our sins have been taken care of by our High Priest, according to the order of Melchizedek, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Heavenly Father, we give You thanks for sending Your Son, Jesus to be our High Priest. Always look upon His blood, forgive us our sins, and give us new life through Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article
