The Highest-Paying Jobs Without A Degree
Do you want to work without a degree? If so, you're in luck! A number of best-paying jobs without a degree are available as apprenticeships. Apprenticeships allow new professionals to learn a trade while working towards their career goals.
Programs like carpentry, plumbing, and electrician offer high wages and plenty of opportunities for advancement. With proper training, these apprentices can become skilled professionals in their field with little time. While there is always room for improvement, these are some of the most promising careers right now without a college degree.
If you're interested in pursuing an apprenticeship program but don't know where to start, check out the best online resources for finding an apprenticeship program that meets your specific needs. Once you've found a program that's right for you, be sure to research all of the requirements so that you can prepare for what lies ahead. Apprenticeships can be rewarding and challenging at the same time – it's important to make sure that you're ready for it!
What Do You Need To Qualify?
If you're thinking of changing careers or looking for a new opportunity, you may be wondering which jobs don't require a college degree. There are a variety of positions available that don't require a four-year degree, and many of them offer higher salaries and more opportunities than jobs that do.
First, let's look at some types of jobs that don't need a college degree. These positions include sales representatives, computer systems analysts, and medical billing specialists. Each of these positions has its advantages and requirements, so it's essential to carefully consider which is right for you. For example, sales representatives typically need industry experience or professional training certificates to qualify.
Another great option is to look for entry-level positions that offer training and development opportunities. Many companies offer apprenticeship programs where you can learn the ropes from experienced professionals before moving up into a full-time position. With proper training and experience in your field, landing an entry-level position without a college degree can be very lucrative.
Finally, if the salary isn't your main concern (or if you're simply not interested in working in an office), consider pursuing different fields like science, technology and journalism. These fields are always in demand due to the high demand for skilled workers and the growing trend towards freelance work arrangements. With some dedication on your part (and maybe some extra education), landing one of these high-paying jobs without a college degree can be within reach!

such a cursed and chaotic work memory just popped into my head lmaoooo ok so at my old job i had to take over as the graphic designer of my team with no raise because they laid of the main designer during a pandemic budget cut fiasco. im sure it's just a coincidence that she was the one who launched an hr investigation into my manager's sexism but anyway. i was put in charge of the highly important task of selecting and editing the banner image for a fuckin corporate new years email or something whatever doesn't matter anyway so my manager unprompted sends me this deranged email where he's downloaded a super generic watermarked stock photo of a grandpa and his granddaughter and it said something like:
[kiwi],
Not certain about your choice of image of fireworks for New Years.... Image should tell brand story (interconnectedness/mutuality).... Found image on iStock that would be more appropriate representing the past (Old White Man) guiding the future (little girl wearing green Dragonfly shirt) (breaking gender norms)...

extremely pissed off because the union has been negotiating a contract with my place of employment for two years, and just as they’ve finished it and negotiated raised wages for everyone, work has announced that as soon as we settle on the contract they’re eliminated waived breaks (we forego breaks in favor of getting paid for half an hour). Our salary increases are NOT significant and doing this means we’ll essentially lose money or make about the same as we had been before they eliminated waived breaks.
All this is doing is driving home that if we didn’t have the union they’d screw us over even more, and isn’t even a subtle attempt to stop them from having to pay us more.

i am not doing well rn
#this job isnt what i thought it was gonna be and i was up all night freaking out about my life choices#i think im gonna start applying to different jobs#its not that the job itself isnt what i thought. its that this place is shady as hell and i do not feel comfortable being a part of this#the owner does a lot of illegal shit that he can get away with bc its a 'private business'#like. i havent even met him yet. im meeting him today and all of my coworkers have terrified me#theyre like 'oh hes great once he gets to know you but hes gonna try to find a reason to fire you at first'#'he wants to make sure that you *really* want to work here' like what kind of shit is that???#like literally the past three days my anxiety has been THROUGH THE ROOF because ive been scared for this day to come#but also maybe theyre making it out to be worse than he really is??? but even my most responsible coworkers are afraid of him#idk what im getting myself into and i am just Scared. and im anxious about money too. bc i can only work 6 hour shifts at this place.#sure im paid weekly but its still a lot less than what i was getting paid before simply bc of the amount of hours they make me work#i just feel like i keep making mistakes :( and i cant get myself out of them no matter how hard i try#like im considering going back to my old job if theyll let me back in but at the same time why the FUCK would i do that!!!#that place was a mistake too but unfortunately also the highest paying job i will ever have :')
