Found out about the game when he was playing an open world rpg with his gamer buddies, and one of them was talking about how HOT the characters were, and the other was talking about how the most recent arc made him legit cry, and he like, never cries bro, for real for real! So naturally, to keep up with the cool kids, he downloaded the game after he logged off for the night.
He's fascinated by who you are, the way you live, your personality…it's so exciting for him! That's why you're his favorite. He likes interesting things and by golly, you're entertaining!
He wants to prank you so bad. He knows he would get great reactions from you, if he flipped himself upside down and appeared out of nowhere. He is also CERTAIN that you would appreciate all the love and care he puts into his cooking. He imagines pressing a spoonful of food(?) To your lips and you taking a bite, smiling at him with your gorgeous smile. And maybe glitter starts raining down from the sky and you profess your love for him and how you fell in love with him for his cooking. (In your fucking dreams Lilia)
He has a couple of your cards, but even though you're his favorite, he isn't too picky about who he has. He just wants the most powerful deck to demolish his enemies and brag to his gamer friends. Sorry, love, he's a general first and foremost.
He ranted for three hours about how stupid and a waste of time playing video games is to the first years, then Malleus came in to show off his new card, and the app just appeared on his phone as he vibrated at a high frequency over the fact that Malleus shared his joy with him.
He picked you as his favorite because he is certain, despite your humanity and magiclessness, you would be the best person to help him defend Malleus. (He tells himself that, but really it's just an excuse to simp over you without looking like a simp)
He likes to think about showing off to you if you were real. You'd appreciate his strength, his survival skills, his adoration and dedication to his Lord. You'd be his perfect partner! He likes to imagine felling a large opponent, and then having you rush into his arms, dabbing his sweaty forehead with a towel, as you praise him.
Cards? Huh? He isn't super good about how the game actually works. He gets the story elements, but he doesn't get the battles. He doesn't even know you have cards. It's a miracle that he's ever progressed in the story.
He downloaded it because his dad recommended it. Lilia had been going on and on about it, and he just gave in and downloaded it. He played it everyday for a week, and then forgot all about it.
But his subconscious never forgot you. He'll see you in his dreams. Maybe he's napping in your lap and you're stroking his hair. Maybe you're making flower crowns in a meadow together. It's always something peaceful that makes his angst over his sleeping condition a little less.
He's very confused. Sure, he loves the person in his dreams, but he has no idea where you came from. Maybe someday he'll see you flash across Lilia's phone screen and he'll remember the game.
He thinks video games are a waste of time.
He's also that fucking professor that even though you are adults and he really can't do anything about it, he pauses the entire fucking lecture if he hears one person talking or sees one person on their phone. Like bitch, this ain't high school. It's their own fucking fault if they aren't paying attention. Let them fail. Keep the lecture moving.
Sorry Vargas simps. Video games don't build muscles. He only does squats in his free time, and nothing else.
His "friends" told him about how popular it was growing. So he downloaded the game to see if there was anything he should put in stock. Then the fish Mafia came to him about a partnership, where they would make merch, and he would have it in the back for sale, both online and for those in the know. How could he say no to a deal like that?
You're clever with a hint of mischief. He loves it. You'd be his number two, his partner in "crime". He can feel it. He also knows you'd be impressed by his magical abilities. He could show off to you with the simplest of tricks, and then you'd both extort a rich business man. Ah. True love.
He has three of your cards, but he one hundred percent is hoarding all his materials for when you get a truly marvelous SSR card. He's pretty much guaranteed to get it with how much he has saved up.

Designation: Mayhem
Soundwave named his sparkling as Mayhem for the simple fact that when the little bean cried for the first time everything was a chaos.
Like, a literal chaos, since cybertronians were now something kind of usual in Earth since the Unicron war and many decided to stay.
Imagine someone in their way to work when out of nowhere the glass in every passing structure makes vibrating noises, tremors that has every human in alert for a earthquake, but no, every glass material related thing starts then to shake violently before finally breaking, light goes out and an ominous sound wrapped everyone near before the sound of something falling is getting near.
Then there was somebot shouting in cybertronian, distantly at first but getting closer, dangerously so.
Jets, helicopters and planes start to fall from the sky and many noticed those are cybertronians that literally fainted but had the last thought of getting course to a crashing area where there are no living casualties, cars or trucks change to transformers that are foaming in the mouth while crying out loud or crash against something in their sheer panic, cellphones showing a sound that looks like there is a worldwide poltergeist around and screeching in every screen before turning off, no human or organic being knows what the hell happened while trying to calm down every bot that is near to them.
All because a tiny sparkling in the middle of Africa finally opened his intake to cry like any other baby, almost killing his sire's oh so sensitive audials, the itty bity baby showing not only his high sound frequency but that he could also connect to electronic devices.
It was a blessing that Mayhem hardly cried, but when he did, Soundwave and his cassettes were ready, sorry for the rest of the world.
Years later, no one knows what created the big cacophony from many years ago, some make theories about it: terrorist attacks, paranormal activity or another alien race trying to make contact, while Mayhem is just eating some pork belly in the room, hearing people or bots talk about it, almost laughing and saying for himself that it was maybe some kind of cryptid, not knowing that it was him.
Every time that Mayhem cried was a moment when humans and cybertronians, once again, made their bond deeper in those trying times.

Galeem: *shoots off down the hallway like a bullet*
Bowser: …that was weird.
Joker: …so anyway, we were talking about—
*golden chains suddenly shoot into the room and grab everyone, pulling them down the hallway as they scream…*

solve a gramle with me!
a couple weeks ago i finished my linguistics minor and i thought i'd do a very different kind of post and walk you guys through decoding a spectrogram! (mistakes and all)
northern arizona university created their own version of wordle for linguists, called 'gramle,' which gives the player a spectrogram and they have to guess the word being said.
the player types in IPA symbols (which will appear in this post and you can listen to here). they are then told if the sound is wrong, right but in the wrong place, or fully right.
here's a relatively easy one that i solved in 3 guesses:
(unfortunately, i didn't take a screenshot so you'll have to ignore the photo quality and the cursor on the screen. oops!)
for those unfamiliar with spectrograms, this looks pretty unintelligible. spectrograms are a graph of frequency over time, with intensity (or amplitude) of the waves shown via shading. to understand why they're helpful, we need to understand how air moves through your vocal tract:
the airwaves in your vocal tract are composed of many different frequencies of waves, all bouncing around. air moves through your vocal tract and hits different parts depending on the shape. different frequencies of waves are then amplified or dampened by the shape your mouth was in. the frequencies of waves that get amplified the most form dark bars of intensity called "formants." these formants can then give us clues about what shape the mouth was in when the speech sound was made!
in the picture above, we can see several different patterns of darkness and lightness. those are different sounds. in gramle, we are looking for 5 different sounds.
my first step is to identify the borders of the sounds
now that we have the boundaries between the sounds, we are going to try to identify the type of sound they are, aka their 'manner of articulation' (HOW the sounds are made).
here's what we can tell:
this word looks like it has two vowels in it, separated by a period of blankness. this means it will be two syllables.
the period of blankness is clearly a stop
the sound at the end is clearly a fricative
the sound at the beginning is also a fricative, but i guessed that it was an approximant first. (this was silly of me, and we'll get into why in a little bit)
now that we know HOW the sounds are made, we can look for clues about WHERE they're made (place of articulation):
again, here's what we can tell:
both vowels have a big distance between their first and second formant. F1 is low while F2 is high. this means they are high, front vowels. probably they are /i/ or /ɪ/
the formants on either side of the stop are bending downwards. this tells us the sound is probably bilabial, meaning it's produced with two lips. it's probably /p/ or /b/
there is also a completely blank period, meaning there's no voicing bar. (voicing is the vibration of the vocal folds and it shows up as a little bit of low-frequency noise). therefore, we can make an educated guess that the sound is /p/
the fricative has a ton of noise really high in frequency. this means it's a sibilant, a class of s-like sounds that make hissing noises. alveolar sibilants, /s/ and /z/, have higher pitched hissing than their postalveolar counterparts, /ʃ/ and/ʒ/.
(we're ignoring the first sound for now)
here's what i guessed:

let's break this down:
because i could not think of a word that used vowel /i/, i went with /æ/ even though i knew it was wrong. this is still a game of wordle after all!
/ɪ/ was correct, but not in the right spot, which means the first vowel must be /ɪ/. because the second vowel is not /ɪ/, it must be /i/
/p/ was correct. yay!
/s/ was not right, which bummed me. I was pretty sure it was an alveolar fricative, but I didn't see a voicing bar. my two strategies were to change my assumptions about place and vocing, changing my guess to either /ʃ/ (voiceless post-alveolar), or /z/ (voiced alveolar)
I thought that the first sound was an approximant because the sound waves seemed more organized than they are for the final sound. approximants are made by resitrcitng airflow, but not so tighly and it does not become nearly as turbulent as the air does in a fricative. I tried /l/ without much strong place evidence.
with some new thoughts, it was time for my second guess. this time, i do not aim for a real word but instead throw some sounds on there to test them.
(this is not a real word, but if it were, it would be spelled ripiche)
we got the vowels confirmed!
/ʃ/ was not the ending. i guessed this because i thought there wasn't a voicing bar, but that can be tricky. a more experienced spectrogram reader would probably guess /z/ before /ʃ/, because the place evidence was stronger than the voicing evidence. but hey, i'm still learning :)
again, i try an approximant. i did not want to pick /w/ as that would create the same labial bend we saw for /p/, and /ɹ/ keeps F1 and F2 relatively in the same spot. the problem here is that it bends F3 a lot, and so I knew it wasn't quite right either. noticing that the sound is actually quite quiet by looking on the waveform, i realize that it's probably a fricative. the absence of a voicing bar also points to a fricative, as English approximants are voiced by default
now i can try again for a real guess:
(the word is "hippies")
i tried /z/ at the end this time and it was correct!
there was not a lot of evidence for the place of the fricative, so once i knew all the other sounds, i tried to see which sound would make a real english word. my best option was /h/, as 'fippies' and 'thipies' aren't words.
/h/ is produced in the glottis, which is the opening in your larynx. there is hardly any constriction when /h/ is made and it's place as a fricative is sometimes debated. because of this, it make sense that there weren't any strong place cues.
and with that we solved the gramle!

She cuts herself off as her eyes squint slightly when she comprehends fully what he had said.
"....I feel like part of that comment is aimed at me. But don't worry, if it was, I'm fully aware we're not friends. You'd stab me with no hesitation and I would not blame you. Obviously I'd prefer to not be stabbed though so uh, please don't?"
A nervous laugh followed, her actual terror she felt for him being not very well hidden underneath her rambling.
There's a cant to his head, not listening but rather watching. People spoke louder in their body vibrations than their words. Vibrations in the tremor of their voice, in the pace of their heart, in the shiver of their bones, the shifting of hands that are ready to flail, the shuffle of feet ready to run, the flick of eyes searching for an exit. Words meant nothing to him. Never had. Those who wanted to be 'closer' to him would never get the chance, their bodies spoke well before they got in range. But those that HE wanted to get closer to..... They operated on a different frequency. Darkiplier, for example, barely moved. A high pitched chime was all he ever really got from him, and whenever he DID move, it was in the blink of an eye, no vibrations, just suddenly in a different spot. It made him unreadable. He hated it! But he also thrilled on the challenge of poking the bear. Then there was the little red hero! Vibrations and fast movements, quick strikes and precision clouded by anger and grit.... But the entire time... a steady heart beat. Swift and calculated, focused...... Unless Chase was involved.... Then that vibration frequency would change! Rapid heart, clouded judgement, sloppy work, terrible aim. It was fun to unravel everything the hero worked hard to maintain. As for this one in front of him? Frost was unique in her own way too. Loud, shaky, talked far too much and terrible at hiding the truth. Who in their right mind would really think that was a belt after all? Cats were precise, calculative, stealthy and well balanced and as such he had noticed she kept these traits. Frost was soft footed, barely made a sound and while he'd never admit it, she had snuck up on him once or twice without his notice. Her heartbeat was always just that little bit quicker than others, but he'd always placed this as needing more energy for the cat thing. She had a tendency to fidget, wringing hands, flicking ears that would shift the beanie used to cover them, pulling the beanie back down in paranoia, shifting weight from one foot to the other, the tip of the tail twitching or a frequent glance at surroundings. The first he'd ever met he knew she was an anxious sort, constantly fretting over how she was perceived by others and what new threat may be lurking around the corner. Then there's the necklace. Touch touch touch touch. Could never keep her hands off it, but then it was understandable to be obssessive with something so precious. Just look at him and Chase after all! That also included the bracelet she wore. A weapon concealed. He'd picked that up when her hand drifted near it whenever he got too close. Hands searching for a weapon. The biggest vibration he'd picked up however was different than anything body related. It was the air around her. Cold. Always cold.
Temperature was different... At least, for something and someone incorporeal unable to physically feel such things. Being behind a screen or in a terrible glitched and broken space in between worlds. He'd still felt that icy area around her. But now? Now that he had his very own body to manifest into... To be physical and in the same area as that cold it was..... different. And when he'd mentioned she seemed different, it wasn't for her recent lessons from a certain psychopathic murderer. It wasn't for the new way she held herself with confidence around a threat. It wasn't for the new vibration of her hand shifting to her side rather than her bracelet. It wasn't for the new set of blue glasses she had or for the scent of some cleaning products used to remove blood stains.
It was the cold... Not a difference on her part, but on his. Being physical had shown him a lot of new vibrations and new ways to observe this odd world, but it had also shown him new physical senses too.
Cold.......... He didn't like it. The floor at Iris had been cold upon bare feet. He hadn't liked that either. This wasn't to say he feared it, or that it would wound him. An adjustment. That's all it was. Still... He didn't have to enjoy it. Rather, it made him curious.
He took a step closer. Not a word spoken, just a deep penetrating stare and a ...singular...step...closer...

FET3588-C SoM based on Rockchip RK3588
Forlinx FET3588-C SoM inherits all advantages of RK3588. The following introduces it from structure and hardware design.
1. Structure:
The SoM size is 50mm x 68mm, smaller than most RK3588 SoMs on market;
100pin ultra-thin connector is used to connect SoM and carrier board. The combined height of connectors is 1.5mm, which greatly reduces the thickness of SoM; four mounting holes with a diameter of 2.2mm are reserved at the four corners of SoM. The product is used in a vibration environment can install fixing screws to improve the reliability of product connections.
2. Hardware Design:
FET3568-C SoM uses 12V power supply. A higher power supply voltage can increase the upper limit of power supply and reduce line loss. Ensure that the Forlinx’s SoM can run stably for a long time at full load. The power supply adopts RK single PMIC solution, which supports dynamic frequency modulation.
FET3568-C SoM uses 4 pieces of 100pin connectors, with a total of 400 pins; all the functions that can be extracted from processor are all extracted, and ground loop pins of high-speed signal are sufficient, and power supply and loop pins are sufficient to ensure signal integrity and power integrity.
The default memory configuration of FET3568-C SoM supports 4GB/8GB (up to 32GB) LPDDR4/LPDDR4X-4266; default storage configuration supports 32GB/64GB (larger storage is optional) eMMC; Each interface signal and power supply of SoM and carrier board have been strictly tested to ensure that the signal quality is good and the power wave is within specified range.

RK3588 SoM hardware design Guide
FET3588-C SoM has integrated power supply and storage circuit in a small module. The required external circuit is very simple. A minimal system only needs power supply and startup configuration to run, as shown in the figure below:
The minimum system includes SoM power supply, system flashing circuit, and debugging serial port circuit. The minimum system schematic diagram can be found in "OK3588-C_Hardware Manual". However, in general, it is recommended to connect some external devices, such as debugging serial port, otherwise user cannot judge whether system is started. After completing these, on this basis, add the functions required by user according to default interface definition of RK3588 SoM provided by Forlinx.

The interface resources derived from Forlinx embedded OK3588-C development board are very rich, which provides great convenience for customers' development and testing. Moreover, OK3588-C development board has passed rigorous tests and can provide stable performance support for customers' high-end applications.
