11.今日だけの音楽 [2019]

1.はじまり

じわりと始まるイントロの音が夢の中を漂うようで、ちょうどストーリーを読むのに合わせた尺なのか？と感じる。導入としては、一瞬長いようで、でもちょうどよくて。繰り返されるピアノの音で段々と深い眠りに落ちていく感じ…思い出せない、夢で聞いたメロディって確かにこんな音だった。

2.HiddenNotes

こんなに満たされたアルバムなのに空っぽの、と始まるのが白紙を染め上げていく合図の様で納得する。あなたは生きている、信じているとこんなに堂々と言える、晴れやかさ。強さとしなやかさをもって最初の曲に相応しい。生きてい『る』、の音の戻る様な真綾さんの歌い方がとても好き。

3.ホーキングの空に

MONDO GROSSOらしいリズム感、コーネリアスとコラボした時とは違うアプローチの揺蕩い方。手を伸ばしたら掠ってしまうような掴みどころのない音が一つ一つ落とされていくのが、静かな宇宙の果てによく似ている。シンプルな構成だから目立つ声の美しさ。ブレス音の演出が最高…。

4.ユーランゴブレット

確かに川谷絵音は天才だ！といいたらしめる『キャッチー』さ。不可侵領域にある感情が自分の器から溢れ出しそうな、その水を悠々と滑る客観的な自意識の船の歩み、その不安定な景色が歌に被る。効果的な『声』は彼女をよく知らない（推測）彼だからこそ出来たアプローチだろう。

5.お望み通り

逆光コンビ、今度は事変に寄せてきた…！（私得で最高）小刻みな音で作られた鮮やかな+艶やかな波が心地よい。Cメロ前のサビで半音あがる（？）のも華やかさに溢れる。『最適な未来/劇的な将来』の言葉の並びが天才。伊���さんの色気たっぷりのピアノに触発された歌との絡みが堪らない。

6.オールドファッション

この爽やかさとキュートさ……。こんな事歌われたら好きになっちゃう（もう好き）王道JPOPというか、昼下がりの散歩にも、夕暮れの帰り道にも、全てが光に照らされてきらきらしていて、嫌いな人いないんじゃ？『この時代の香りが好き』が、同じ事思ってた！と嬉しくなった。

7.火曜日

巡る春夏秋冬と共に姿を変えていく同じ景色、その中に取り残されてしまったいつか交わした言葉……こんなにセンチメンタルになれるのは曲が何処までも優しいから？最後の『丘で』のメロディの上がりと共に、見つめていた町並みから視線が真っ白な空へ浮かび上がるのが瞼の奥に焼き付く。

8.トロイメライ

盛り上げ十分なアップナンバー！すぐそばを通り過ぎた、たくさんの流星が目の奥でチカチカ煩く踊るよう。いつか覚めると知っていても、その世界に浸ってたい、そんな無邪気さと無謀さの様な、心から楽しめる歌。きっとそれは弾いても叩いても歌っても。ライブで聞きたい！

9.細やかに蓋をして

タイトルから作者が明白。彼が坂本真綾に言わせたい言葉が『女になる』なんて挑戦的すぎる。間奏部分のわざとらしい刃の切れるようなピアノの歪む音が、Cメロのベースの刻みと対照的で際立つ。計算づくしのストーリーが悲劇とも喜劇ともとれる終わりを迎えた時、彼女に残る物は？

10.ディーゼル

SSWの時のような朗らかさ！岩里さんが寄せる言葉が紡ぐ何気ないような描写がお気に入り。車体が軽快なリズムにあわせて上下しながら、コーラスで賑わう一行を連れて行く様。「忘れてしまえたら"なあ"」なんてぼやきが、柔かい空に消えたらきっと、あの日の事も愛しく懐しい思い出に。

11.今日だけの音楽

それは夢の景色、何処にもない、でも何処かにあった場所。不思議さも抱かない程、自然にーー私はこの空の色を覚えている。けれど、いつか覚めてしまうとも知っていて。時間を連れた風が舞えば、美しい旋律にのせた言葉が高く立ち昇る。その声は、今日だけの始まりへ続く歌。

Quick note to myself dated March 2, 2011, scrawled out haphazardly onto a small brown paper bag, pressed beneath glass, on the workbench in the garage. *It reads: "Best not to try & reinvent the wheel ... The wheels always keep turnin' ... Stick with what you know ... Remain positive ... Be grateful ... Give." I ALWAYS need to remember to take my own advice, that is, should those words still apply. In this case, I'd like to argue that it IS a good idea to "reinvent!" This little memento reminds me of exactly how I was feeling on that very day though, and that is what I love about the written word. Words remind us. Words live through us.
