Quick note to myself dated March 2, 2011, scrawled out haphazardly onto a small brown paper bag, pressed beneath glass, on the workbench in the garage. *It reads: "Best not to try & reinvent the wheel ... The wheels always keep turnin' ... Stick with what you know ... Remain positive ... Be grateful ... Give." I ALWAYS need to remember to take my own advice, that is, should those words still apply. In this case, I'd like to argue that it IS a good idea to "reinvent!" This little memento reminds me of exactly how I was feeling on that very day though, and that is what I love about the written word. Words remind us. Words live through us.
