Was watching The First Frost and now a scene where Sang Yan was drunk is mentioned. In hidden love a lot of us did not know what actually happened. The main focus was not on Sang Yan. It's just made me a little more sad because in Hidden love Sang Yan is a goofy but emotional big brother. It is lightly mentioned that someone is pursuing Sang Yan which we took in a comedic way. But in the graduation party Duan Xiaxu did not drink and all we thought was he doesn't drink due to his dad. We lost focus on Sang Yan who was heartbroken 😭😢💔. Our pookie brother Sang Yan was heartbroken!!!! Omg. It kinda shocked me. Anyways there has been a lot of comparison about the portrayal of Sang Yan. Victor Ma's performance moved me on the brother part however I was curious about his storyline too. I definitely wanted to see Wen Yifan there. I was also with people about casting him in The First Frost. But man!!! the The First Frost was so dark that I forgot about anything that bothered me. Poor Wen Yifan . It's a fraction of what some real women go through in their daily lives💔. Bai Jing Ting is a pookie green flag ml as Sang Yan. So, I don't have any issues with it. I'm loving both versions of Sang Yan. Both are attractive to me 🫣.

I think Hidden Love has handled first love so well. There's been so much chatter on this one for me personally it works because its well handled. The drama is aware of the age gap, and the ML never see the FL as anything but a sister, they have time apart she distnaces herself and says goodbye to her first love. When they meet again, the change in our ML is gradual and by then they are in much similar places in life - I think sometimes in age gaps timing is everything - 5 years in your teens isn't the same as 5 years in your 20's and 30's.

This drama is aware of that and therefore its working for me, I'm enjoying the gradual change, the growth in these characters. I'm sat and ready for more.

LOTS AND LOTS of kisses and skinship (they start dating very early into the drama so we get kisses and hugs literally 70% of the drama in every episode!)

Male leads works hard into success, it’s not handed to him

Both leads are good at their own things

Sports romance (trust me, I hate all sports without any bias and snooker is worst of all but this drama was exception)

No manipulative bitches, no melodramatic scenes, no unnecessary drama and tension

Just lots and lots of kisses, fluff and good things

Male lead’s love language is make sure the female lead is well fed and taken care of 🥵✨

“Sister in law”/ “Brother in law” teases from friends and family
