I like the Resistance members :) Very video gamey of them to have one NPC assigned to each dungeon but hey!!! Kinda cool getting to see a little glimpse of each of em

Idk, it’s just fun to imagine Link popping into Telma’s bar after each dungeon and taking a little rest :) (or to celebrate? maybe just chat, idk, give this man some downtime!!)

Honestly it was just kind of nice that Link wasn’t entirely alone. I mean, I know Midna was there the whole time, but I am always for giving Link a big group of friends (see my love for hyrule warriors, age of calamity, and LU LMAO)

Hero’s shade, very very cool, kinda sad he died with regrets but HEY. He got to pass on his knowledge eventually

TP WORLD BUILDINGGGG

Botw has good world building too, but each race felt kinda,,, isolated? I absolutely love the different architecture and vibe each town has (and all the the weapons too) but ghhh yea everyone felt so separated. As far as I can remember, we don’t see tooo much of the races interacting with each other? Now that I’m typing that out maybe that’s to be expected because of the calamity but KLSJDKJFD ANYWAYS THIS IS ABOUT TP

The world feels nice and alive, love how populated everything is

Castle town I like castle town a lot, it feels dense and busy and I really like how you can’t talk to every NPC you see

Very cool very fun that we got to see the Gorons hanging out in multiple spots

kinda wish we got to see the Zoras a little more (I guess they are a bit limited since they need water but GHHHH the tp zoras are so prebby,,)

BUT HEY, I do remember seeing a zora or two hanging out in the hot springs around death mountain after beating the lakebed temple (I think, might have been a different dungeon) 

but aaaa would have been nice to see them in at least a couple of other places. I think it would have really added to the “congrats Link!! You’re restoring peace to Hyrule” feeling you get from seeing the Gorons hanging out in Kakariko and Castle Town

Love how chill it is and how it’s kind of separate from Hyrule proper

They really do seem to be doing their own thing apart from the rest of Hyrule

Just kinda adds onto the “he’s just a regular dude minding his own business” kind of vibes I get from TP Link

I feel like this one is kinda weird but I like that voice sample they used in the light spirit music. It’s spooky and pretty at the same time :)

Love Midna’s theme and how they referenced the dark world theme from ALttP (I remember trying to learn the dark world theme on the piano and doing the Leonardo DiCaprio point meme at the little jingle I recognized from Midna’s theme)

Hyrule field theme SLAPS.

Apparently references a couple of the other over-world themes from the previous zelda games (I got this from 8-bit Music theory’s video on the over-world zelda themes, he talks about TP at around 11:40 but def recommend watching the whole video if you’re into music analysis stuff)

So there’s this bit of the Hyrule Field theme, I don’t know the official name for it but I remember seeing somewhere it being called the “at an advantage theme” since yeah, you hear it during the boss music whenever you expose their weak points. FUCKINGGG LOVE THAT. Didn’t notice it during my first playthrough, but hearing it during my second was like a little easter egg for my ears every time :)

I didn’t care for it too much when I started playing the game but hearing it in ZREO’s arrangement of the Hyrule Field theme literally makes me turn into a puddle of emotions. Also hearing it around and of the Ordon kids (I think it plays after Link saves Colin) AAAAAAAAAAAAA

Orchestra piece #1 and #2 HOLY SHIT???????????????? 

Literally, the first time I listened to those I just,,,, plugged in my headphones, volume 100, layed on the floor/against my desk and silently vibed. I don’t know what the hell it is, but those two just fit so well with TP?? I still avoid listening to them nowadays cause if I DO I definitely will get overwhelmed with the “god I love this game so FUCKING MUCH” kind of feels.

TP STAFF ROLL??? 

VERY GOOD. IT’s like 10 minutes long and GOD do I love every single second of it. It doesn’t have the same energy as the skyward sword staff roll or the orchestra pieces but GOD does it hit good??

Nice and calm after that big exciting adventure. Maybe it would have been more fun or emotional to have a higher energy piece but it was really nice getting to sit back and watch the camera fly around Hyrule. Seeing like, the Gorons and the Zoras having a good time, the kids returning to Ordon? GOOD SHIT.

and AAAAA that end, when you hear the main Zelda theme and see Link riding off out of Faron woods on Epona… good shit. It gets you thinking, where the hell is he going? What is he doing? Off ot do more adventuring? Going to help out the resistance or something? Going to help Zelda? Or maybe he’s trying to figure out a way to restore the mirror of twilight? Whoooo knows.

hhHHHHhhh it’s just that final reminder that YES!!! YOU JUST PLAYED A ZELDA GAME. JUST ANOTHER STORY APART OF THE WHOLE EPIC OF THE ZELDA SERIES AS A WHOLE

I also want to acknowledge the instrument/samples they used for all the twili stuff.

They’re all just so unique and contrast SO well with the rest of the TP OST. LIKE FUCK!! Anytime I hear the screech from the Twilit Kargarok? Sends a shiver down my spine. I associate those sounds SO strongly with the twili realm. (Like, the same way you associate the BSHEWW VVWWMMM sounds with light sabers)

ayo! (wait this might be a bit of a jumpscare dishdks i apologize) i’m op of That Post and was wondering what your opinions were on the whole woobification thing? /gen

because it’s a Tiny Bit widespread within the dream apologists to sort of,, overdramatize stuff like l’manberg hurting him. like they’re not a 100% wrong but if you look at it subjectively you can see some sort of bias going into that sort of thing that makes the character’s mistreatment a bit more blatant and intentional which,, it really wasn’t? and there wasn’t That Much of it either. especially on twitter (tumblr is much better about it) people just jump to conclusions it seems and yeah. since you brought it up i was wondering if you wanted to write a bit about it from your perspective!

we’re kinda from different corners of the fandom but i still notice that once you are too attached to a character you start taking certain evidence and giving it more weight than it actually has. there’s a blurry line between “taking away a character’s humanity” and woobification and it’s extremely difficult to find a balance when said character shows pretty much nothing of his emotional life (e. g. putting up the intimidating villain act in front of only c!tommy, pretty much everything he does making rational sense with no emotional subtext) and a lot of the fandom instantly jumps to one side or the other while it’s like.

we don’t know by far enough to say “he’s traumatized” or “he isn’t traumatized” or “he was villainized and it hurt him” or “l’manberg didn’t affect him at all”

as a very analytical person people constantly jumping to conclusions grinds my gears, but that’s about it for my own view of the situation - sorry for the rambling.

in general i agree with you that both dehumanization and woobification is Bad and i really hope getting Actual Context sorts this out (e. g. him saying he was betrayed by his friends doesn’t mean it wasn’t partially his fault or that they were allowed to leave him, but it also shows that he did care about that happening. mentioning the cat doesn’t mean anything about what happened to c!tommy but it also shows that he did care about what happened to it. it’s just always interesting to get more information about the way he feels because he usually does a very good job at hiding it.) because man.

it’s like being stuck between a rock and a hard place, especially if you also are attached to the character and are expected to automatically agree with everything the people on “your side” say. it just ends up with everyone being mad and the character being mischaracterised overall.

and by woobification, i mean exactly what you’ve already pointed out— the people who will say l’manberg purposely villainized dream, the people who will say wilbur faked his mental illness to manipulate dream, the people who are pretty much always talking about how badly dream was treated by people who were acting only fairly for themselves, usually.

for example people who act like dream was a perfect peacemaker before tommy showed up, or that tommy started most conflict. these are just actual lies that are told by c!dream himself to justify his abuse of tommy, and people fall for them incredibly easily because not a lot of people watched early dsmp and know that truthfully it was chaotic even then, and that dream was chaotic too. not to mention wilbur soot tried very hard to secede peacefully with l’manberg and dream jumped directly into war with no warning. and then people say he was forced into their war when, no, he started it.

theres also people who will say like, dream and sapnap for example are such good friends. i’m sure they cared for each other, but dream on multiple occasions has done horrible things to sapnap with no regard for his feelings (like leading fundy to sapnaps pets during the petwar, leading tommy to sapnaps pets during the other petwar and encouraging him to kill them, handing mars over to tommy to use as leverage against sapnap, etc). george he’s been less awful too but he certainly spoke over him and ignored his feelings enough that george felt hurt. he had places in his hall of attachments for beckerson and mars. george and sapnap were right to walk away from being treated like that.

there’s also what you just said here — “dream puts on a villain persona for tommy”— but honestly he acts like that around quite a few people (example: eret) and it’s usually when he’s revealing crucial info, which leads me and many others to believe that ‘persona’ is actually a more truthful version of him.

there’s the fact that he really isn’t safe for people to be around (or at least he wasn't before the prison) because he was planning to come up with ways to control every single person by stealing and threatening their attachments (some of which were not items but were living animals, or a real breathing person).

and then people will say dream was doing exile to enforce rules, or to keep the peace— when it’s very clear in canon it was a deliberate plan to get tommy on his own and into the prison. (from the way he was framing tommy for multiple crimes, and having sam set up the prison, and kidnapping tommy instead of correctly exiling him, all at the same time).

not even going into how he wants to kill and revive people for fun or make tommy immortal.

it’s just— ignoring all these actual facts and saying “oh he misses his friends, let’s get him some friends now” reminds me of like. when people would put flower crowns on pictures of serial killers. and then, there’s hardly anyone on the server who wasn’t subject to dream’s plans, so there’s absolutely no one i would be okay with him interacting with.

just remembered about the torture thing, and wow i still hate it so much. it’s someone’s sick revenge fantasy twisted into a way to get a manipulative villain sympathy, and it’s just gross to me on every account. i do think dream is traumatized-- just not by l’manberg, which was a conflict he started on his own terms. i would think l’manberg did affect him, because he was scared of losing control.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again— my ideal ending for dream would be for him to be sent far away from dsmp to an island full of therapy animals and super strong therapists who have never met him before. and for him to get a shit ton of therapy until he becomes a halfway normal person. and then eventually he could get integrated into society again; but a different one with new people. (although maybe dteam + bbh + puffy can visit him, they might still like him.)

none of the people on the server (who have all been affected by dream) should be burdened with befriending him or rehabilitating him— look how that turned out with sam! sam had a personal grudge towards dream and it ended with the poor dude being tortured every day; and sam himself falling into corruption and literally cutting off his boyfriends arm. like we can all see thats fucking awful right?

no one who was affected by dream should have to deal with him ever again. and contrary to popular belief, that includes a LOT more people then just tommy. dream isn’t just tommy’s antagonist, hes almost everybody’s.

the only person on the server who might also be able to stand to help dream is techno, and that’s from sheer lack of ability to give a shit. but techno is probably THE furthest thing from a good therapist there is lol, and dream needs better then that.

this kind of just ended up being a rant about my thoughts on c!dream, so im so sorry op. especially since it was probably negative for you. i hope you’re doing very well.

i guess in the end it’s true what you said— people will highlight or ignore things based on what characters they like, and it’s especially easy to do in this fandom, where half the content doesn’t even get watched and then we become a big echo chamber of half-truths.

considering dream has hurt so many of the characters i care about, i almost can’t understand how he could be someone’s favorite or comfort character— but he is nonetheless, and it would be unfair of me to be rude about that.

essentially it just bothers me to see someone who was a perpetrator of accurately portrayed abuse and manipulation (using both those words in their actual definitions, not just as random buzzwords lol) being given the flower crown edit effect. especially since he’s hurt the characters i care about a lot.

ANYWAY all of that being said (this got LONG im so sorry op) i am so so excited to get dream’s pov, because although i disagree with his actions strongly i actually find dream’s character very interesting and cool, and watching his POV is going to insanely fun. i cannot wait to see what theories get confirmed or denied

A/N: Okay so I pulled this little snippet out of my ass after having a dream about this basically lol. Please don't judge, I am not a writer and am doing my best, especially since the original post deleted and I had to rewrite this. Anyway, I think it may be a little series and part social media too so let me know what y’all think!

“Hey guys! It’s Y/N!” You said into your phone as the livestream on Instagram began. Immediately people began commenting and hearting. “So, I am currently getting ready for the Endgame premiere right now and decided to do a livestream and just talk to you guys and let y’all ask questions.” You spoke, the camera catching your makeup team pampering your face. You went silent as you began reading the rapid questions being asked by the fans; the only sound is the music softly playing in the background. 

“Alright, one question asked: “How are you feeling about tonight?”” You read back. “I am really excited for tonight. So many hours of hard work have gone into the film and I am ready to see all the cast and crews hard work pay off and see the final product. But I am super nervous for the fans reacts!” You answered, giving a little suspense with your final words.

“What are you wearing tonight?” Your hairstylist, Chris, read off the screen from behind you.

“Something red.” You cheekily smiled. The crew laughed as the continued their work.

“What are you going to do now that you are done with Marvel?” You read out loud. “Uh, I am not too sure. I have photoshoots lined up over the next year, but I haven’t thought about what’s next in my acting career.” Before you could continue, there was a knock on the door of the hotel room you were in. Stacy, your stylist, answers the door and walks back in with a cute bouquet of soft pink roses. You smile as she placed them in your arms.

“Oh, my goodness, y’all, look!” You said and showed the roses to your camera. You took the note and began reading ““Dear Feuer, you are going to rock this premiere tonight, you play a Stark for a reason, love RDJ” Robert, I love you so much!” You said before placing them neatly on the vanity in front of you. For the next few minutes, you answered the questions at random until one caught your eye.

“What do you think of Shawn Mendes?” You read. “I think he is incredibly talented. I remember listening to him after he finally began to release music and thought it was cool that someone my age was making a name for himself outside of YouTube and Vine. Also, I really love his new album. Lost in Japan or Mutual are probably my favorites. Plus, he looks like a Greek God. I mean, have you seen those curls?” You finished with a slight blush; not believing that you just relieved your crush on a livestream. Before you could continue, Stacy spoke up first.

“Alright girl, we got to get you dressed and out the door.” She said, getting your dress out and ready as Chris finished spraying hairspray on your head.

“Okay guys, its time! Thank you so much for entertaining me and ill see you later. Bye!” You blew a kiss before ending the stream and putting your phone down before standing and walking over to your dress. The whole team assisted you into the dress, making sure your hair and makeup stay perfect. After making sure it was adjusted, you began placing the gold accessories on your neck, ears, and hands. You looked in the mirror and took a deep breath, taking in your appearance. It’s time.

The flashes and screams became more frequent as you step out of the car at the begin of the dark purple carpet. Right in front of you was Elizabeth, giving a big smile to camera in her gorgeous green dress. You took a deep breath in preparation before smiling, stepping out to the first mark on the carpet. Directions were shouted from all around, wanting the best picture possible. You continued making your way down the carpet, taking pictures with cast mates and by yourself. Next, you made your way to the interview part of the event. The last reporter you were to see was from E!News.

“Hello.” You greeted as you stopped in front of them.

“Hello, Y/N. Wow, you look beautiful!” The reporter complimented you, causing a bashful smile across your lips. “Alright, let’s get right into it. It’s a big night for this cast. How are you feeling?” She asked, holding the mic out for your answer.

“I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see the final product after months of hard work from this amazing cast and crew” You answered.

“Are you sad that you are saying goodbye to a character that you’ve played since the first Iron Man?” She said.

“Definitely. She really has become apart of me and I have had the best time playing Feuer, but all good things do end, and I was very pleased with how everything was done for her final scene in the MCU.” You answer, hopefully not spoiling anything. The reported seemed satisfied with your answer and moved on.

“Now, I watched your livestream earlier, and saw that Robert Downey Jr. sent you flowers.” She stated, waiting for you to add on.

“Yes, well I remember my first premiere, the Iron Man one, I was so nervous I didn’t want to go. Like, no one could get me out of the bathroom to calm me down, but Robert came and brought me a small bouquet of orange roses and every time I got nervous during the night, I would sniff them.” You explained, smiling at the memory of your 11 year-old self. “Ever since that premiere, any premiere I have had, weather he would be there or not, he would send me a bouquet of roses to help calm me down.”  

“Wow, so you really do have father-daughter relationship with him?” She asked.

“Oh yes, we’ve been with each other since day one on this journey and he has taught me so much and has been there for me when my own parents couldn’t be.” You answered.

“Alright one last question before you have to leave. How much do you really like Shawn Mendes?” She asked with a cheeky smile. Immediately, a blush hits your cheeks.

“I mean, I don’t know him personally, but I do love his music and he seem like a great guy; very down to earth. I would love to meet him one, of course.” You simply said, hoping it would be enough.

“And he looks like a Greek god, right?” She teased. You laugh and nodded in agreement with your earlier words. “Well thank you for talking with us, and congratulations on another amazing movie.” She said as you bid a goodbye to her, before making you way over to the fans that are waiting. At least it was only one interview.

Decision time: Kill the Architect or ally with him? I allied with him last time, but both are tempting, and the companions who’d be able to influence his opinion are split. Like, yes, stopping all Blights forever is an excellent cause, but a) do we believe he’s telling the truth, b) do we believe success is possible, and c) that’s a darkspawn.

...I tried to talk myself into killing him, but I couldn’t. If my Amell survives into Awakening, I can have her do it (though if she doesn’t, the Andras I’ll be sending in is definitely the type to ally with him).

I’m very nearly certain that my Inquisitor this run will be packing Blackwall off to the Wardens; if he ends up at the Vigil, he’ll be in for quite a surprise to see the order he so idolized led by an angry, guilt-ridden Dalish who found it in him to make friends with darkspawn and allow them to requisition Wardens’ blood.

Mother time.

Whose idea was it for her to look like that, anyway, considering what every other broodmother in the series looks like? What was the idea behind that? Whoever you were, please get in the trash can.

We all remember how this went last time, right? Three rogues and Anders, Sigrun doing her best to tank and kind of failing, Mother eventually taken down by archers. Let’s see if this party does better. Or differently, anyway.

Welp. Like last time, Nathaniel was the last companion left standing, because a) he’s badass like that and b) aggro management meant most enemies were leaving him alone and attacking Daiwen, who could take it. Unlike last time, I only needed the healing tower once, nearly at the end of the fight when it was only the Mother left to take down, and that more as a precaution (and a way of speeding up the rest of the fight) than because Daiwen and Nate couldn’t have hacked it by themselves. I didn’t even use the other three towers, though I did throw one of Dworkin’s grenades.

Endings: Architect does the thing, anti-Warden sentiment and conspiracy theories about the burning of Amaranthine being some kind of elven revenge plot that end up with another uprising (though public opinions of the Wardens is better in the rural areas), the Vigil as a more important trade center than Amaranthine, “But prosperity bred scheming and treachery between merchants and nobles” oh Maker more politics, Alec founding a knightly order, Dworkin gone into hiding, the Silver Order being super awesome, Velanna’s killings still causing bad blood between Dalish and humans, Kal’Hirol resettled, the Blackmarsh also resettled, Anders came back after an attempt to bang out, Velanna stuck around for a while and started being nicer to humans but eventually disappeared to chase after Seranni, Nathaniel threw himself into Wardening, saved Fergus Cousland, and got what I’m sure was a very nice statue at his nephew’s new castle, Justice stuck around until Aura got too disgusted with the state of his body then disappeared, Sigrun was induced to stay around with a string of totally important and urgent assignments, Oghren kept right on Oghrening and his relationship with Felsi and their child eventually dissolved, and game, are you quite sure about this “banged out of the Wardens and fucked off to Antiva to chase after Zevran” thing? Pretty sure that’s a rumor they started to throw people off the scent. Pretty sure Daiwen will still be on the books as Warden-Commander by the time of Inquisition, for one, and it’d be far more like him to bring Zev to rejoin his clan if he did have to go to ground.

Anyway, time for Witch Hunt. Should be fairly quick.

So, who do we say got twitchy and sent Daiwen on this mission? Loghain, through Anora? The leadership at Weisshaupt, having heard something about eluvians? Either makes more sense than Daiwen giving enough of a shit to track Morrigan down.

And Morrigan has been given a good stabbing. I suspect she’ll recover, considering her role in Inquisition.

Summary: Thor is shocked when a soulmate tattoo begins to form on his arm. He goes to the Avengers for help but finds her there. What will Thor do when he has to choose between his soulmate and his love, Jane?

A/N: so this isn’t my best work and there will be a part 2! Also, I would have posted this yesterday but while looking for gifs I got lost in a few imagines that popped up ahaha

Part 2 || MASTERLIST

Thor didn’t know what he was expecting when he returned to East after Loki’s death. The loss of his brother shook him to the core and he knew he would never be the same. The one good thing left was her, Jane, the love of his life.

He’d heard that mortals have something known as a ‘soulmate’ which is identified by the matching tattoos. The tattoos grew from the time you receive them at age 12 to the time you find your soulmate, then growing would stop. Some never found their soulmate which results in a whole limb being covered in the tattoo. 

Some peoples soulmates die and this results in their tattoo turning white. Jane’s soulmate had died a couple years ago and it was heart-wrenching, she managed to push on and eventually, she found him, Thor. But the tattoo from her past remained, staining her bicep in a range of white patterns.

 They say that the tattoos patterns link to the soul’s foundations and may even be able to predict the two should be future together- studies have been conducted but there can only be so much looked at; most of it is guesswork.

Sitting on the couch, with Jane next to him, they continued watching the strange program with various humans in a competition to out-cook one another. Looking down, Thor took in Janes side profile. Her long lashed fanned her cheeks and a slight redness tinged her cheeks. Chocolate brown eyes watched the program eagerly before finally her head turned towards Thor, having noticed his staring.

“What?” She asked laughing slightly at the odd behaviour. A sudden feeling of dread filled Thor without reason. 

“I love you.” He said eagerly, as if this would be the last chance to do so. As if it was on a cue, Thor began so feel an uncomfortable pain in his forearm. Looking at it, there was no physical sign there was anything wrong but the dreaded feeling remained. Thor watched his forearm intensely, Jane none the wiser, returned to her show after returning the saying. 

Yet again, Thor’s arm began burning, the pain was extensive and caused him to pull away from Jane and cradle his arm to his chest. 

“Thor? What’s wrong?”

“Something is wrong with my arm.” The pain began to simmer down, but that was all but for a moment as the burning returned ten fold. Falling to his knees, Thor’s mind was in a panic, Asguardian’s don’t feel such random bodily discomforts without a just cause. 

When the torment on his arm finally began to cool, leaving a dull ache, Thor noticed Jane’s slightly teary face.  Worried, he tried to reach out for her to let her know he was just fine but she flinched away. 

“T-thor? Let me see your arm.” This confused Thor. Standing, he held his arm out and let Janes hands caress it, staring at his arm heartbrokenly. Following her gaze, Thor saw an intricate pattern of three swirls connected in the middle. 

“Ah, this is an ancient symbol, one to show the three stages of life. Typically for women but…” Thor than realised, he’d never had any form of a tattoo before and this was the cause of his pain. Jane put her hand over her mouth in shock and backed away from Thor.

“You… you have a soulmate.”

“That isn’t possible, I am no mortal.”

“Thor, we need to find out who they are, where they are. Especially why this is happening now. You’ve been to Earth so many times, why is it appearing now?” Janes voice was clearly displaying the rising hysteria within her. 

“Jane, my love, calm down.” Resting his hands gently on her forearms, he bent down to her level.

“I’ll go to my friends and we’ll find out what happening and then I shall return and we’ll eat that flat meal you like so much!” Thor laughs heartily, not so worried about a thing like a tattoo. It meant nothing to him.

As soon as he calmed his Lady Jane down, Thor sped off to the Avengers tower, looking for an explanation. This couldn’t happen, no Asgardian had ever had a soulmate tattoo in all their histories. Landing on the pavement outside the tower, Thor trudged inside.

Steve came out of the kitchen towards the large footsteps of Thor. 

“Thor! Its good to see you, I didn’t know you were back on Earth.” Grasping each other’s forearms in the usual warrior way, Thor sadly nodded. 

“Unfortunately, it is not with good news. I need to see Banner and Stark immediately.”

Steve led him straight to the lab where the men were working on locating a certain item. “Stark, Banner.” Thor greeted.

“Point-break!” “Hey Thor, what brings you to Earth?” Banner says, completely ignoring Tony.

“Well, I’ve been here a while after the death of my brother, Loki.”

“Finally!- I mean so sorry for your loss…” Tony began but shutting up when he realised it had actually taken a toll on Thor. Bruce shook his head and turned back to Thor, “so what can we do for you?” Thor showed them his arm containing the three connecting swirls that were slowly growing. 

Thor could see it actually moving within his skin and it disgusted him. 

“How do I get it off?”

“Thor…” Bruce whispered taking in the sight of the man’s arm.

 “How long have you had this?” Thor frowned. 

“Just today, why?”

Bruce shared a look with Tony. “Thor soulmate tattoos grow with you from age 12 and start off as a single black line slowly growing-“ 

“Yes, I know of this. Jane has explained this to me. What are you trying to say?”

“Thor, you’re tattoo is a day old, it shouldn’t be this big. We can see it growing as well, that’s not normal.” Frowning, Thor puts his hands on his hips. 

“What does it mean?”

“You’re Asgardian, so it could have sped it up..?” Tony finally inputs.

“No, I don’t think it’s that. I have two theories. The first is that you have never been on Earth long enough for your soul mark tattoo to develop and its just making up for lost time, or…”

“Or?”

“I mean…its been theorised that when a person’s other half is about to die or close to death, your tattoo with grow exponentially and fate will speed up your time to get you to meet earlier than intended.”

“I don’t get it.” Thor said, leaning back on a table while crossing his arms. Tony sighed, leaning on the table muttering ‘shit’ constantly while Steve just frowned and copied Thor’s stance. Bruce looked around the room before fixing his glasses and fiddling with his shirt.  

“Thor, you’re soulmate is going to die soon and they might not even know it, but you do. The fact you have a tattoo at all is amazing...”

“You know this looks familiar… I’ve seen it somewhere before…” Tony was closely inspecting the tattoo, trying to understand where he’s seen it before.

“How do we find-“

“I’m so sorry I’m late!” A lady in heels walked in a bit frazzled from rushing to get here. Not even noticing the situation, she began placing all her files on the desk and blabbering away at the silent men, not realising the situation she seemed to have stumbled into. 

“The traffic was horrific on the way up here, typical New York am I right? And then I couldn’t find a carpark, I was almost tempted to just crash and park in the lobby if it took any longer.” Walking over to her station, the genius in heels was unaware of the four super-men currently staring at her from across the room.

“I mean tony you have a lot of money, you think you could put in some more car parks under the building or something? Not all of us can fly in, ya know?” Finally placing her bag down and pulling out a file before walking over and putting it in front of Tony, she continued talking. As she did so, she weaved throughout the group, completely ignorant to the extra Avenger. 

“Also, someone scorched your parent outside the building and I swear it wasn’t me and my fire this time. Poor Jerry’s going to be so upset about his road, he works so hard…” (Y/n), in her professional long sleeved t-shirt and fitted jeans, only just noticed the silence in the unusually loud lab.

Turning around, she spotted Thor.  

“Holy shit!” Smacking Tony on the chest, (y/n) mumbled. 

“Why didn’t you tell me the best Avenger was visiting today?” She mock whispered, not taking her eyes of Thor. A round of shocked and playful hurt gasps spread around the room. Thor smirked and crossed his arms, looking down at (y/n). He couldn’t deny she was a beautiful woman, it almost appeared she didn’t belong here on Earth, rather on Asgard. 

Hand on his chest, Steve laughed, “I’m hurt (y/n) I always thought I was your favourite.”

“Oh honey, you are something else entirely.” (Y/n) gave a wink and a sultry smile causing Steve to smile, blush slightly and then look away; not wanting to be caught in her gaze. Something about the interaction irked Thor the wrong way and he didn’t like the feeling.

“Hello, Thor, God of thunder and Prince of Asgard, what brings you to this… uh, establishment?”  (Y/n) waved her hands around and stepped closer to Thor, looking into his eyes. Her eyes were seemingly taunting him and as he stared longer he saw images. Images of himself and Loki. Loki bleeding on the floor- Thor looked away quickly causing (y/n) to smirk.  

“Sorry about that.” She whispered, before taking a step back though her smirk said everything but. 

“My name is (y/n) (y/l/n) but you can call me Fuka pronounced fee-you-ka, not fooka, not full-ker and most definitely not fucker. I control heat/fire and happen to be able to see peoples worst nightmares. So, don’t stare at my eyes too long, as you just learnt, or you might be seeing your worst nightmare.” Tony smirked before she held out her hand for friendly terms. Something seemed to snap together in Tony’s mind and instantly he reached out towards the two.

 “No, wait!” But it was too late the two were shaking hands and a heat seemed to spread between the two. (Y/n) understanding instantly and smiling brighter than any of them had ever seen. Thor was just confused. 

“What just happened?” Releasing (y/n) caused a slight ache within himself that he couldn’t control. It was strange… the need to be close to her was almost dire. 

“You just sealed her fate by beginning the bond process…” Tony sighed.

They all thought of (y/n) like a sister ever since a couple months ago when she terrified a whole town by accident in the first stages of developing her powers. The Avengers stepped in and eventually calmed her down and invited her to the team. She was extremely intelligent within the field of molecular biology and technology. Now she was an Avenger and apparently now Thor’s soulmate.

“Sealed my fate? What?” Thor’s mind seemed to grip onto every word that fell from plump lips. Sensing his staring (y/n) looked to Thor and gave him a wink. Thor snapped out of his stupor and looked towards Tony for answers.

“Look at his tattoo.” She grabbed his arm, causing Thor to jolt with the electricity running from her fingertips to his arm.

“Holy shit, well, either I’m doomed or you have been on Earth longer than you usually are.” Running her hand over the vines spreading from the triple spiral, Thor gasped. This was meant to be sensual, Jane had explained that one’s soulmate touching the tattoo was a private and special affair. Yet, (y/n) had no problem touching it in front of their team members.

Both Steve and Bruce were looking away from the pair awkwardly, confirming Thor’s thoughts that this was something private. Blushing, (y/n) pulled away knowing that’s not something to be done in the presence of others. Thor kindly smiled down at her.

 Something within him was pulling him towards her, ‘it must be the soulmate bond’ he thought.

“That’s what I said (y/n), but there’s no way to tell. So we’ll have to see.” Seeing the two soulmates standing quietly taking peeks at each other, Bruce began walking over to the door. 

“C’mon lets give them room to go over some things.” 

“But this is my lab! Shouldn’t they find a room?” 

“C’mon Tony,” Steve said, pulling Tony with him. 

“Keep your clothes on kids! Make good choices!” Tony shouted as he was dragged out.

“So, you’re my soulmate?” Thor said awkwardly. 

“Yup…”

Both couldn’t keep their eyes off of each other but neither knew what to say. “May I… May I see your-“ 

“My tattoo? Yeah sure.” Rolling up her sleeve, Thor now saw the extent his tattoo was bound to grow to. The Triskelion was on her forearm, like Thor’s, but the vines and various Nordic symbols that covered her whole forearm was extent. Thor gasped, his was nothing compared to (y/n)’s. 

Walking forward, without asking, Thor held her arm delicately and brought it close to his face to inspect. He recognised quite a lot of the symbols adorning her arm. (Y/n) gasped when he ran a light finder over a certain snake symbol, and almost moaned. The soulmate tattoo was extremely sensitive to your soulmates touch, which is why it was always something done in private.

“I apologise, its just that-“ 

“It’s Loki, the god of mischiefs symbol. I know.” Looking up from her arm, Thor realised how close her face was to his. 

“I did my research, I was curious as to why my soulmate’s soul encased a lot of Norse mythology, but I can see why now.” (Y/n) breathed. Their faces slowly drifted closer, “…since you’re a Norse…god” 

Her breathes came quicker anticipating his soft lips upon his. (Y/n) closed her eyes, feeling his slight breath on her lips. So close and yet a gust of air made her eyes slam open. (Y/n) was alone in the lab… her soulmate gone without a goodbye.

Thor landed on Jane’s balcony, stumbling. Something within him was breaking and making him feel light headed. 

“Jane..” He whispered. 

“Jane!” Thor called for his love. Jane came stumbling out with Darcy in tow and upon seeing Thor on the ground she was quick to help. 

“Thor!” 

“Mir-mir!” Jane just looked at Darcy, “what? No time for exclusion?”

Noticing Thor’s weakened state, Jane and Darcy  grabbed an arm each and managed to move Thor to the couch. Darcy was quick to get some water and a facecloth. 

“What happened, Thor?” Jane knelt next to the couch Thor was perched on, as he was laying down and kindly brushed his hair away from his face. 

“Did you find out about your markings?” Thor only nodded, unable to look Jane in the eyes because every time he did, he saw (y/n)’s beautiful- no he wasn’t going to think about her. Thor loved Jane, damned be to the fates. 

“What did they say?”

“I met her, Jane. She was there.” Jane pulled away slightly. 

“D-did you come back to tell me you’re breaking up with me?” Thor sat up abruptly, “No, my love. You are the one I love, the fates be damned.” 

Janes smiled sadly and let tears pool. 

“Thor, you can’t. As much as I love you, it is not worth losing you.” Thor became confused, why was Jane pushing him away when he was choosing her? His greatest love?

“Thor we can deny our soulmates but we can die in the process. Just look at you, you’ve been away from her an hour and you’re nearly deteriorating. Not many people come away mentally or physically stable. It’s like tearing yourself in two-“ 

“I’ll do it! For you, for us- always.” And then he kissed her.

Back at the lab (y/n) still stood confused before something like a sledgehammer hit her in the chest. He was denying the bond and as he gets further away from her, the more it hurts (y/n).

“JARVIS….” (Y/n) barely called, sinking to the floor. The edges of her vision were slowly turning black.

“Hold on miss, they are on their w-“ (Y/N) blacked out.

When she woke up, (y/n) woke up screaming. The burning in her chest and arm was like someone sawing her arm and stabbing her chest simultaneously. 

“THOR!” She screamed. Various voices came through but she ignored all of them. Her body told her she was dying, her mind screamed and her powers curled around her in anger at Thor. 

“Hold her down!”

“We can’t or she might set the whole room alight!”

“Get the sedatives!”

“No! Someone find the fucking prick!”

“Tony!”

“Look what he’s doing to her!”

“What’s happening Tony, Bruce?!” A panicked Steve Rogers entered the room hearing the deafening screams from around the compound.

“Thor must have gone against his bond and, I don’t know, made contact with another female before they sealed their bond!”

“You mean he’s with Jane right now?”

The sedatives kicked in and it was like drifting in an ocean. (Y/n) felt at peace floating in her black ocean of nothingness. Here she could still think but was unaware of her own body.

How could Thor reject her? Did he know how this worked? If he denied her, if he got through this part he would live on, but there was a high chance she wouldn’t survive having her soul torn in half. 

Finally giving in, (y/n) fell into a dark abyss.

On the outside, the men suddenly stopped at the heart monitor went flat.

 “Oh no.” Tony and Bruce hurridly started up the defibrillator.

“Charging… five hundred… clear!”

THIS IS A CONSPIRACY THEORY BUT THE FREAKING COLOR OF THE MEEGE TRIBE IS SIMILAR TO MEEGE IN SWITZERLAND???! AND THE TWO STARTING TRIBES WERE LITERALLY ALMOST THE SAME COLOR. THIS WILL NOT END LIKE SWITZERLAND, IF IT DOES I AM GONNA CRY.

Anyway I got in touch with Mitch and Benj. I talked with Mitch first then I learned it was Benj who flipped during the Noah vote. I mean I honestly thought it was Mitch ahsjdjd but I guess the talk I had with Benj about rocks/ties back then was an omen. Anyway Mitch tells me he forgives Benj so I guess that’s something? Julia confirms to me that Mitch is saying the same thing to her so ok. I then chatted with Benj and he did tell me he was the one who flipped because he was not close enough with Noah to go to rocks for him which is understandable but I’m still weary on Benj.

Tom then tells me Mo and Caeleb are grilling him for JJ and Evan’s demise. Right now Tom feels that Mo/Caeleb/Alex/Jones are a thing and that they’re just using Benj. That’s kinda a good info to use to get benj on our side??

Anyways I don’t know if this is alarming or what but on the tribe call Tom told Mitch and Benj he knew about the Budva idol being found because Julia told JJ and then told everybody. I think Mitch and Benj were shocked that Tom knows? Idk I maybe paranoid but let’s see

Right now me, Julia, Jason and Ali are trying to hide the fact from Benj and Mitch that we made sort of a pact with Tom and Jules to vote together come merge. I trust Tom to know that I think he will vote with us but idk about Jules. Tho Julia and Jason seem to trust her so I hope she sticks with us!!

SO I KNOW I'M TERRIBLE WITH WRITING CONFESSIONALS, but this is my first Survivor game, I'm not used to using Skype and it's weird having to type it to a whole other window just to get a confessional but WHATEVER ILL TRY TO DO AT LEAST ONE A DAY. Alex C: Okay he lowkey terrifies me ahh. Like he is quite gamey, and both Mitch & Jules have said he is kinda leadery and potentially a bit pushy? I see him as an early merge boot (ideally), because I think he'll get a lot of attention on himself? He is fun though, and I like talking to him - we will see, maybe if idk Jones/Mo/Caeleb goes he will be a more workable ally from an underdog spot?

Ali: trash, disgusting, send him home, I never want to see that mess...

Benj: a KING, I have missed Benj so MUCH. He is such a, SUCH A KING, i love him, I'm so happy we are back together. I think he could be a great duo for me, since us two being close can be kept quite lowkey ha! We will figure it out, but he is going NOWHERE on my watch

Caeleb: Okay he is like... one of the only other newbies left in the game, and is potentially quite lowkey, so I'd like him to stick around for a while I think ahh! He seems super sweet, and could be someone to go to the end with if my faves go bye bye.

Ian: I've said it since round two, and I will continue to say it. Ian is the biggest threat in the game, I've been knew and I'm not dropping it. I will not allow him to go far, like he is super nice, but also... we are not allowing a threat like Ian to walk to the end.

Jason: Similar to Ian, I'm really feeling duo vibes with him and Ian, maybe even a trio with Julia I'm not sure? He scares me less than Ian, and I'd probs want Ian out first versus Ian? He still is also a king tho, even though I always get vibes that he doesn't like me eeeek

Jones: A legend! I can tell already, I fully get legendary vibes from her. But like... it makes me upsetti spaghetti that I really don't think I can let her get too far, like she... is someone I could see as a season winner, so she might need to go sooner rather than later, although getting her out might be easier said than done tbh

Jules: Okay an icon. Jules we LOVE in this house. I literally stan Jules with my 100% full heart, they know ALL and on my watch? they go NOWHERE. my clout is being used to keep an eye on Jules, even tho they are a much better player than me, and they will be able to watch their own back and go super far

Julia: Witch queen. I want her to go really far too tbh, like I love her and am so happy we have actually been able to work together this season. She told me about her self-vote thing she got from the merge feast, which is a big trust display. I think if I can get her woke about Ian/Jason, she could be a big ally and super important about my game long term. I think if we can get Alex C out particularly (since apparently they have history), then maybe she will be more willing to FINALLY make a move on them.

Mitch: I'm always sketched out by him KASDFA. Like I think he would work with me for sure, but I also like... don't know sometimes, like... he knows I was gonna vote him out premerge, can that go away? I think he could be a good ally moving forwards though , we will have to see.

Mo: MY SON. I MISS HIM. I'M SO HAPPY HE DOESN'T HATE, I THOUGHT HE DID. Its super exciting and like I said before, he is doing super good this season and I'm super proud of him. I wanna go far with him, but I think not being on a tribe with him till merge could be an obstacle to that ahh :(

Tom: Tom is a mega-cracked king. Like he is SO entertaining, and on a personal level I really vibe with him. I will not do him dirty, and I wanna go to the end of this game with him. We will see what happens, would love to be a juror voting for him at the end.

So overall final thoughts. I have a dream F4 alliance of 'The Flippers and the Flop' aka me, Tom, Jules & Benj, since those three flipped on their original tribe and I'm a flop. So I want that as F4, Julia at F5 (but maybe further, I love her too), and then for the rest:

6th: Mo 7th: Caeleb 8th: Mitch 9th: Jones 10th: Jason 11th: Ian 12th: Alex C.

We will see and figure it out and be flexible. Its gonna be a mess, but we will see. I just wanna make confirmed jury, then I just wanna play a bomb game, like finalist-schminalist, i just wanna end the season and my game not being an actual joke KASDFLAS.

Okay so i dont know like when the last time i did one of these was but lets just start at last tribal council; I am lowkey so glad that evan is gone and we didnt try anything too fancy he really would've made merge that bit messier. But uhm also why the heck did he have to vote me grrr i wanted to try to not get any votes for a really long time but oh well cant have everything good happen in life.

Okau so like woo! i won the first immunity of the season how bloody exciting! I honestly was confident going into the challenge however i didnt know whether or not i was going to win. I love the fact that i got shot 0 times so i literally could've gone asleep and potentially still won lol. But at this point my mission of staying low and go go go'ing has to be intact i cannot seem like a big threat in this game it doesnt get me far. So im telling everyone that im surprised and that it was really just based on luck and based on nothing so my target does not grow! So glad to have immunity in this game honestly first merge boot probably wasnt going to be BUT i know this round can get fucking messy so anything could've changed #StayLowAndGoGoGo

okay this is a grr grr angry confessional. WHY IS EVERYONE BEING DUMB AND JUST BEING ATTACHED TO TRIBE LINES. Like I messaged Jones, Mo and Alex about it yesterday, and Jones my meme queen gave like a good response, but Mo particularly I was like... wut?

Like Mo is my org son from all the way back in Azores, so I always have his back... but like... when someone messages you about being uncomfortable with tribe lines and not wanting to stick to them, giving the HEAVIEST HINT POSSIBLE that I'm not attached to like Ian and Jason, your response should not be 'I'm just accepting my fate'... Like that is such a red flag to me, no player should just... be resigned to stuff? Like Mo PLEATHE.

In other other news, we love Jules still. Tom is being weird recently, I think he doesn't trust me anymore, so I think my dream at the moment is a F3 of Jules and Benj, Tom 4th and Julia 5th? Mitch terrifies me (and he knows I shot him, which caused even more distrust), Alex is super nice but is like... evidently not trusting of me, Mo is my son but I wanna SHAKE HIM, Jones is my fave I love her already, really like Caeleb too he is so nice.

I'm just frustrated, I feel like.. people aren't willing to do enough and its making me frustrated I just wanna scream. Like at this point, I expect to go midjury, like 9th, and I'm thinking who I'd vote. I would vote Jules, because they are always on the ball and their read is unmatched, I'd vote Ian because he has playing smart since round one, I'd vote Benj because he is one of the few that has his head screwed up about not blindly sticking to tribe lines.

Of the rest? I'd like to vote for Tom/Jones, but would probs need to see more gamey game from both. I could respect Mitch's story to get to the end, but don't necessarily see myself voting him. I could vote Julia or Jason. The one who is currently least likely to get my vote is probably Mo, I am just... frustrated with him. Like he could do SO GOOD, I just wanna give his head a proper wobble, like.... LISTEN TO ME. I am telling you I would flip just READ KSALDFA.

I ranked who I'd vote for in FTC if I was a juror so far and its currently:

Jules > Ian > Benj > Mitch > Julia > Tom > Jason > Jones > Alex C. > Caeleb > Mo

And the order in which I trust people is:

Jules/Benj > Julia > Tom > Ian > Jason > Caeleb > Jones > Mo > Alex C. > Mitch

I have thoughts. I know its been a hot sec since I have sent one in but I have been just busyyy. So this one might be long and it'll have all my thoughts post-merge.

My first thought: Being reconnected with old tribemate (Jules and Tom). I love Jules. She's so kind and wonderful, might be hard to reach occasionally but when she messages its always full and heartfelt. I think that can go a long way in this game as she's fun to talk to and makes you feel like she's with you. So that also mean shes very dangerous of course. Tom is less so fun. He's kinda sarcastic kinda hard to read kinda edgy. He always acts like he's a little too busy for things. But he is fun and he has fed me a lot of information about Budva post swap, so thank him for that. BUT I'm like lowkey really annoyed with him. Losing that last challenge on purpose was dumb as hell. I know Evan is deceitful and hard to work with, but like hell keep that in your head and get him off as an easy vote right after merge. Because If they hadn't lost and instead we had gone to tribal (Durmitor), then we hopefully would've lost Mitch, secured the dynamic as 7 OG Durmitor vs. the 5 OG Budva, and it would have been much harder for Tom and Jules to chose the Budva members over the numbers. Obviously this works best for me and OG Durmitor but that just means that I don't know what Tom and Jules are thinking and overall that means I can't really trust them.

Second thought: That challenge was actually really fun. It put this merge into perspective and CLEARLY showed where people are at right now. The fact that OG Budva was so organized in their slaughter and got out Alex like hella fast and then me before we got out any of them was so showing. They are tight and they will remain to be tight. The fact that they were able to be so coordinated seems scary as well. AS it might mean that Tom or Jules or even Mitch or Benj is actually working with them to make sure we didn't win that immunity. Plus Tom won it and that is scary to me because I already was wary about trusting him in the first place. Putting thought one and two together makes me wary overall, because that means that together Tom and Jules and Mitch and Benj might be choosing to work with old Budva (I mean Tom and Jules don't have any inhibitions about voting out old tribemembers so) and old Durmitor might just be screwed.

Third thought: Annoyed that I was shot and destroyed second. I thought I was making a good impression with everyone. Maybe its not a good indication but also sad face.

Fourth thought: New tribe members! I love them all to an extent. Ali seems to be fun to talk to and likes chatting back and forth. But also he did say he was surprised I was out so early and since I know that Alex didn't shoot Julia then he was definitely shooting me. So I don't think I trust that all too much and he might be too sneaky. Jason seems nice. Not much to say our conversation has been pleasant but only so. The same with Ian tbh. They seem cool but thats it. Julia is fun and her background makes her seem like a total bad ass and a really cool lady, but she's been soooo hella dismissive of me. I don't like the way she's playing the game. I think she's putting on an act and playing a character to throw people off. I heard she was like sad or crying(?) that someone shot her and Tom confronted me about it. And sure I shot her but like hell thats the game. I'm 90 percent sure she was shooting me. I'm annoyed, and people seem to love her which just makes me think she's being dismissive to me because she thinks I won't be around too much longer and she doesn't have to put in the effort. And that's dumb, like if I do go I really hope this is the start of the Jury because I will have something spicy to say to her in the event she makes it to Final Tribal. Or maybe things will change and I will learn to really like her and stuff.

Fifth Thought: Game plan for tomorrow. My strategy going forward is simply to be not targeted tomorrow. That is truly the crux of it, because at this point I think I might get votes. I know that apparently I have a habit of getting votes in a new tribe (David and then Noah) so honestly I can see it happening, especially if they are worried about Alex having an idol and they got him out of the challenge first just to vote me. But if I can survive then I think I can go a little farther. The power struggle right now is 3 groups of 4 battling. There's the total Budva members, the total Durmitor members, and then the middle ground (Jules, Tom, Benj, and Mitch). I asked Tom who was more important the original tribes or the new ones and he said he wants it to be old but most likely will be new which basically means that he will vote with Budva. So in the event I survive with numbers I'll ride that until I need Alex (and his idol that I'm prettttty sure that he has but I can't be sure) out and will try to rally that we need him to be gone. If I survive but I'm not on the side of the numbers I wanna create a good bond with Ali and Jules as were all newbies and work that until we can start eating Budva from the inside. I'll see though DKSDSKDSK. I don't think it would be wise to concrete that before this first vote because their reasons for voting off JJ and Evan was apparently that they were making alliances with everyone. I don't want them to see me that way.

Sixth Thought: Okay another Idol Bridge BIG OOF. Those are hard as hell, and I am so confident that both tribe idols are gone which means there might be 3 idols out there pretty soon which is scary as hell. Durmitor Dominators are hoping to work together to get it and maybe we can actually use that together rather than having it hidden like this time. (Which I really think that Alex has it but whatev). If I'm idoled out imma be so sad but like also okay thats an okay way to go.

julia proper wants to flip on ian and jason which iconic... its truly time. I wasn't necessarily going to vote them out first, but if that's what is gonna happen, that is what's gonna happen.

in a memey update, JJ just got cast in another game and it reminded me of a JJ-ism I never confessed about. JJ was on call and showing me... a pet in a glass box, but i didn't know what the pet was or what it was supposed to be, because I couldn't see it. but he was like wow isn't it cute, so i fully called a stick which was the only thing i could see, cute. a STICK.

anyway so like.... back to game. i think the merge boot will be ian or jason which dun dun dun! its probs overdue and will happen, or it'll be me! we will see anyway

I think I'm in the middle of everything atm, which is a weird place for me to be. I'm not in the center, I'm not looking from the outside in, I'm not really a part of anything major or in any alliances and it's an odd feeling. I know I need to do something to secure myself in something but everything in this game just feels up in the air, it's odd. I don't know if it's just how Survivor is, but it's a very strange feeling not having a proper grasp on what's going on with EVERYONE. I have ideas but not a lot of real confirmation for much besides Jason/Ian, Mo/Jones, etc. Anyways. IDK WHAT ELSE TO SAY OKAY I'm boring AF this game

Ok so for starters the immunity challenge ended after 2 hours of its posting adhgfjgs Tom won so big woo for him.

The Budva baes agreed to target Alex/Mo/Caeleb/Jones in this challenge and we got Mitch, Tom and Jules to work with us. Well kinda because the four (Me, Ali, Julia and Jason) of us were the ones who did most of the shooting to eliminate the Durmitor four and we just like went back and forth eliminating one another. I was the first to die in my group so big yikes!! I don't know if that's an omen idk but I do know that I was killed by grandma jones. So I killed grandma too oops!

Anyway, fast forward to today. I got an idol clue from the Hamburger but idk if this will help me get the idol hfjhsgf. So I shared it to Budva Baes and with Tom. Who knows we might get it idk.

In other news, on call Jules flipped because of an earthquake jgfjshgf

A tribe call happened that had almost everyone except Jones and Benj join which lasted about like 3-4 hours?? Anyway, me, julia, jules, jason, ali, mitch and alex played cards against humanity so that was fun!

After Alex and Jules left the call, the five of us who remained then proceeded to plan for the vote. As of now I think we're gonna throw our votes towards Caeleb because apparently he doesn't talk to them that much? I do talk with Caeleb but nothing game related so I guess I'm on board with that. We're not gonna target Alex rn because Julia mentioned that Alex might wanna work with budva people? or that maybe just a ploy, either way Julia and Mitch thinks Alex has the durmitor idol so that's something to be weary.

If I had my way I want to target Jones because during the call, Mitch and Julia expressed how they want her to stay and how they insta love her and to me that's kinda dangerous. But rn I don't think the numbers are their for me to go after Jones. Another hot topic on the call we had was Benj. I'm really becoming more weary of Benj because umm idk even tho we talk I feel like he's hiding something.

So far, the plan is for Julia to approach Jules about voting Caeleb. Jules is important for this vote because she's like in the middle rn and we need numbers. Also ghasgdd julia got a freaking auto-vote on herself for this incoming tribal council so we are screwed if they vote for Julia. Tom is also important but me and Jason have an alliance with him that Ali and Julia are not aware of so he's good hopefully.

Anyways as of now, the plan is Caeleb (which kinda sucks because I kinda like him) but who knows whats gonna happen. Just hope things go in my favor for this vote.

Apparently I’m a secondary target for the vote, but I’m like oddly at peace? Maybe it’s because I’m super tired but being anxious is never fun so I’m relieved that I’m so calm.

This tribal is so freakin messy. Literally everybody be crackheads and I am a freakin crackhead. I knew Mitch was gonna do me in again, I am sad that JJ blew up chances with Tom working with us, and I can't trust Jules because she's right in the middle. I think Benj is still with us. Anyways, I love Grandma's boys. They're all sweet and nice and wonderful and I want us to get this to work out. Like on calls, he is so fun because he is the sweetest and a great guy, but his only comments and contributions have been 'I think I am going' and 'I have accepted my fate'. mo, MO, you can't be doing this and pulling these shenanigans, you are so likable just... give it a go and play the game HNNNGH.

okay that was mean and negative but I fully needed to scream. To clarify my situation, last night Julia made a chat of all the Budvas - Benj after the call, and we settled on voting Caeleb? But Julia wants to flip, and formed this group with Alex of them two, me, Jones, Jules & Mo. Like Julia, I get playing the middle, but this is playing. the. middle. I didn't want to be in such a middle position I hate this so much SKADLFASF.

It's really frustrating. I want Ian/Jason/Alex out because they all terrify me on a game level. But Julia has put us in the middle in a way that we are gonna have NO NUMBERS TO MAKE A MOVE UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Like I just wish she ASKED me before she made a group with Alex that I got dragged into.

I feel like me and Jules have to just... get in with Mitch. Its the only way. And Caeleb too I guess? Like I think the alliance I'm going to need is like... Me/Tom/Jules/Caeleb/Benj/Mitch... like that's a 6, and with Julia might be the numbers we need going forward.

I'm like... not gonna win this season I know it already. Jason is gonna be furious with me, as is Ian. And then I'm gonna have to flip BACK in two rounds. This is literally the exact game I've played before that hasn't worked.

Having said that, the main thing I did wrong before was that I didn't own my moves. So I need to own it, when I vote out Jason I need to talk to Ian and pull me in, so we can just... remove Alex. I just want everyone gone already askdlfa, its so so so tiring.

So this tribal is shaping up in our favor... hopefully. I think Jason's for sure going now at least. The most we can hope for is make them think Caeleb is going home for sure.

The problem with this is, we don't know how casting this sort of stuff works yet, so I don't know if Jason's been in proximity TO the Behem realm if it requires that he physically be there to affect it.

Why won’t Jason tell Toby the circumstances, and why is Robbie’s situation with Jason significant? Also, will the relationship between Jason and Melodie develop, or is it doomed to the status quo? Moving to other characters, how do you think Ker came upon his eye and the ability to use Fae magic? How might this event be influencing his choices and position with the Hunters? Last, what is going on with Belial, and what do you think this means for the story?

“If you don’t think I can easily talk over this poor excuse for good music then you have clearly underestimated my ability to ramble on for hours upon hours on end to even myself. “We’re here.” Rose suddenly commented.

You stared at her for a solid thirty seconds.

“You played me for a goddamn fool.” You finally say. Rose simply smirked all knowing like as the two of you got out the car.

The two of you went into the store, which, oddly enough, smelled a lot like rosemary.

The store was colorful and seemed to have nearly any article of clothing a person could want. There was also a sign that advised against licking the clothes, which reminded you of Terezi.

But, the moment your eyes wondered over to the register, your heart stopped. It stopped and then sped up to double time. You think you forgot to breathe.

You think what Rose told you wasn’t nearly enough to properly prepare you for how cute this troll was. Saying that he was astronomically cute was the most major understatement anyone could ever possibly make.

And Rose was pulling you toward him. Oh god, do you look okay? Would you even be able to talk to him? Come on, Dave. Take a deep breath. Be cool.

“Hello, Karkat.” Rose greeted.

“Hello, Miss Lalonde. What do you need?”

“Polite as ever, but you can just call me Rose. However, I did come here for more than just exchanging pleasantries. I would like to see Kanaya about getting my brother, Dave, here a suit.”

“Alright. I’ll go get her for you.” Karkat left and soon afterward an elegant looking woman came out with Karkat.

“If you’ll come with me, I can get you measured.” The woman said.

“Thank you.” Rose responded, and the two of you went to the back with Kanaya.

You can’t believe you’re being forced to get measured with your sister and Kanaya flirting up a storm. It was honestly extremely embarrassing.

At long last, you were done being measured, and you bolted out of the room after telling Rose that she could pick out whatever kind of suit she wants. This may or may not have been a good decision on your part, but you were just glad you didn’t have to see your sister make goo-goo eyes at Kanaya for another minute.

However, you were now back in the store part of the store where the cute guy was. You had no idea how to even begin interacting with him, so you decided to look through the store. To be fair, the clothes looked like they were really well made, so you ended up picking a few items that you genuinely wanted to buy.

When you began making your way to the register, you were revisited with the problem of how to talk to the cute boy there.

You were already going towards the counter, so it wasn’t like you could just go back and look through the store some more, so you resigned yourself to your death.

“Um, yeah, I’d like to buy this if you would be so kind. You know, because these clothes are actually super cool, and they seem really well made, not that I would know anything, but based on what my sister says about the store, the clothes are exactly as choice as I think they are. Clearly, they are the best clothes sold from here to the ends of the universe. That’s how fantastic they are, holy shit, you know? Oh, shit, I’m rambling a lot, aren’t I? I do that a lot, especially if I’m nervous. I swear I’m not actually nervous. You’re just really cute. Fuck. Okay, just forget I called you cute, not that you aren’t. You are extremely attractive and cute, and shit, I probably sound super creepy right now. I swear I didn’t mean to. I-”

You went quiet when he began to laugh. You just stood there in a dumbstruck silence while he laughed. Eventually, he stopped and spoke.

“Oh my god. When you came in here, I just thought you were some kind of insufferable prick, but you’re actually nervous, so I guess I thought wrong.”

You weren’t really able to respond due to being caught off guard by the laughter. The sound of footsteps came closer until the door was slammed open.

“I heard laughter, Karkat, what is it that you are laughing at?” Kanaya questioned.

“Did you just run over here because you heard me laugh?”

“Yes.”

“Don’t you have a customer to work with?”

“Yes, but you do not genuinely laugh similarly to that quite nearly as often enough, so I decided to come over to where you were to find out what caused you to laugh so uproariously. However, all I see is Rose’s brother, who I have been informed has a very poor sense of humor that is based heavily in the art of irony.”

“Are you saying I’m not funny?” You finally manage to say something, and, of course, it isn’t even to the troll you were flustered over.

“Although I am incapable of being absolutely certain of the fact due to my not knowing you very well, but the way Rose described your humor left much to be desired.”

“Kanaya, you really should be getting back to talking to Rose.” Karkat said.

“All right, all right. But you will talk to me later, correct?”

“Of course I will.”

Kanaya left, and Karkat turned to face Dave.

“Wow. I can’t believe my own flesh and blood would betray me like this. What kind of sibling even tells someone else that her dear brother has a shitty sense of humor. And Kanaya over there just ripped me a fucking new one, holy shit.”

“Don’t worry about it. That’s just her sense of humor shining through.” Karkat responded. “Now could you please pay for the clothes you just bought?”

“Oh! Yeah, alright.” You fumble for your wallet and give him your credit card to pay for the items. He neatly puts them in a bag and hands them to you along with the receipt.

You take a moment to write your chumhandle down on the receipt, along with a little message saying to be sure to contact you.

Rose finally comes out of the room where Kanaya was.

“Are you ready to leave, Dave?”

“Hell fucking yeah, I am.”

Before the two of you leave, you ‘accidentally’ leave the receipt with Karkat, and you can hear him yelling at you once you leave the store.

“So, how was your meeting with Karkat?”

“Come one, Rose. You know I’m suave as shit. Smoother than butter, that’s what I say. People spread me and they’re like, ‘holy shit I can’t believe how fucking smooth this is.’ That’s how goddamned smooth I am and how I was.”

“Is that code for you becoming a flustered mess around any cute guy you meet?”

“Shut up.”

“Did you at least get his contact information or give him your own?” Rose questioned.

“Yeah, I wrote my chumhandle on the receipt and left it there. I have no idea if he will actually message me or anything. Probably not based on how much of a mess I was.”

“So that’s why he was yelling at us when we left. But you can try to hold on to some semblance of hope that he will willingly contact you.”

“I guess that’s better than nothing, but I am not going to expect much.”

  Once you got home, you got on the computer to pester Terezi.

see what annoys me about this is that when I first played Athena, I had some issues with her being too inexperienced to be a proper lawyer, especially with her court-related PTSD which could seriously endanger her clients.

However... Why are they bringing up her lack of experience in the one case (it’s not even a full case) in a game that isn’t even about her? And ignoring all the progress she made in Dual Destinies?

The way they’re talking about it is as if theyre setting up some kind of sequel; ‘you need to improve athena, you need to practice’. Which would have been all well and good for one of the cases in the first run of her own game... but Athena has been and continues to be a side character to Apollo and Phoenix. Rather than this moment coming at a crucial moment in her own game, it comes out of nowhere during a case she got last minute, couldn’t have prepared for, and is abused throughout.

what I'm saying is, the ghosts of DD past has come to haunt us. They introduced Athena too early and are bungling up her character development. Lawyers need a full set of games to let them grow. Just make an actual Apollo Justice 2 or Athena Cykes 1, but don’t insult us by pretending that this five minute shit actually did either of them justice.

Kelley Reviews: Avengers Infinity War

Hello and welcome to my first official review! I will be doing both book and movie reviews on this blog as well as maybe an occasional website or album review. The style in which I will be reviewing is basically what I think worked, what didn’t work, and how I think they could have done better and/or theories about the sequel if said work is part of a series. With that being said, there will be SPOILERS in this review!!! If you haven’t seen the movie, see it, then come back. So without further ado, here is what I thought of Avengers: Infinity War.

Getting right into it, this movie was highly anticipated by the world and by me. My friends and I drove an hour away to see it on opening night because it was sold out in College Station and had been sold out for weeks (before it was even released!). So I will say that I am a bit biased because I love Marvel movies and have seen and loved every single one of them (with obvious exceptions like the 2008 Incredible Hulk, but, seeing as they don’t even use the same actor we can all take a blind eye to that mess). All this being said, let’s get in to the fun part of this review—what I liked about it.

WHAT WORKED

Character. Character, character, character. This has always been one of Marvel’s strengths and they did not disappoint. Building on every little detail from they’re previous works; they had an amazing cast of heroes lined up for this movie. I’ve got to admit that going in, my expectations were that this movie would be a complete mess due to how many characters they would have to juggle, but I was pleasantly surprised by how masterfully they handled their humungous cast. I liked that they did groupings, similar to how Stranger Things S2 strengthened its characters with groupings, and similar to what Marvel did in Civil War. They paired up characters we haven’t seen together before to give us a new view of them then we’ve seen previously. For instance, we finally get to see Dr. Strange interact with some of the main crew aside from his cameo in Ragnarok. Pairing his narcissistic personality with the equally hotheaded Tony Stark and then throwing Peter Parker into the mix to give Tony something to care about was a great move. Also I feel like Tony Stark as a character is the strongest person. So much has happened to him from the first iron man, so much pain and loss that I feel a bit stressed out every time something new is added onto that. Admittedly, the Thor and Rocket pairing could have been a bit better but it was still entertaining nonetheless.

I’ll also take a brief moment to recognize and appreciate Thanos. Marvel has been criticized in the past for having weak villains but the writers put extra care into giving us Thanos’ back story and motivation as to why he is the way he is. Again the genius of Marvel, because we already know all of the heroes and they need no big long-winded introduction, we get to spend that time on Thanos, which I think was the right move. Speaking of the right move, fun fact: the reason Thanos wanted to destroy half the universe in the comics was so that he could impress and get with a sexy skeletal persona of death. The storyline they made up for him in the movie was much less random and more believable so good job on that Marvel!

I also loved the way that they set everything up as being two years after Civil War and all that has happened to the team since then. The tension with Tony not wanting to call Steve and then seeing how the rest of the Avengers have all still been working together across the world despite everything that happened. I want to set aside a brief moment to appreciate the relationship we see between Wanda and Vision. I shipped them so hard in Civil War and I freaked out when I saw their scene together at the start of the movie. Good job Marvel, I appreciated that.

Another thing that really worked for me were their transitions and the plot. I know that plot is a pretty vague and all-encompassing term to use but I’ll explain. A quick word on the transitions, they were simple, words on the screen about which location we were entering. Short and sweet and it got the point across without interrupting the story—I’d say that’s a success. Now we’ll talk about the plot. When I say that the plot worked what I mean is that Marvel’s writers successfully balanced a huge cast of well-established characters, the introduction of a villain we’ve only seen glimpses of, and multiple new locations all without confusing the viewer and, in my opinion, every element was pulled off well. I’ll make this comparison. The Last Jedi, which came out last December, also had a large cast of characters and a lot was attempted with the plot: (Soft Spoilers ahead, skip this bit if you haven’t seen TLJ!) the Finn and Rose side adventure and love connection, the Kylo and Rey force connection, the Rey and Luke relationship, the growth arc for Poe, the final battle at the end. A lot happened and it felt rushed confusing and jumbled in a lot of the movie. In contrast, with just as many plot elements and more characters, Marvel managed to create a seamless story with great transitions.

WHAT DIDN’T WORK

Thor’s eye. If you saw Ragnarok (which I hope you did if you saw Infinity War), you obviously saw Thor’s eye get dramatically slashed out by Cate Blanchett aka Hela in the epic brother sister showdown at the end of the movie. At the start of Infinity War, we see Thor rocking his Odin-like eyepatch only to be quickly replaced with a new glass eye given to him by rocket. Why. Why would Marvel even go through the trouble of taking out his eye in the first place? I thought the new haircut and eye patch were a good look for him personally and the glass eye felt like a huge and useless copout. Speaking of Ragnarok, where was Tessa Thompson the Valkyrie? And Corg for that matter? They fly off with the rest of Asgard at the end and aren’t seen or heard from in Infinity war. Are we to assume that they died with the rest of the Asgardians in Thanos’ attack? After some digging, I found that Joe Russo, one of Infinity War’s co-directors, said that Valkyrie escaped with the other Asgardians on escape pods during the attack. It is likely that in the next Avengers movie, we will find out more about this.

Bruce Banner. Something weird was obviously up with the Hulk in this movie and to me that spells foreshadowing for the next movie. That I didn’t so much have a problem with, the thing that bothered me about Banner in this movie were some of his lines. Specifically the scene with him and Shuri. I get that she is supposed to look like this super genius with her advanced Wakandan knowledge but even in Black Panther it was hard to buy. Putting her up against Banner, who has been proven to be hella smart in previous movies and trying to make him seem dumb just fell flat came off as cringe-worthy and unbelievable.

Finally, the deaths. Suffice it to say—I’m not worried. It’s public knowledge that both Spiderman, the Black Panther, and the Guardians of the Galaxy have more movies lined up for the future. It is also known that Chris Evan’s has said that he is officially stepping down as Captain America after the next Avengers. So as far as who died, it might have been more effective to kill off some of the heroes who have been around a while. Make us sweat a little. For those reasons, the deaths were less effective for me emotionally because I didn’t believe them. Although I will say that when Peter Parker died, that shit was sad!

WHAT’S NEXT?

We already know that we are in for a Captain Marvel Introduction based on the end scene and I also predict that the Hulk is going to have an important role in the next movie given that he refused to come out of Banner in this one and we still don’t know why. Shuri, who we don’t really see what happened to her after she’s thrown from her lab, might become an interim Black Panther in her brother’s stead—this apparently happens pretty often in the comics. Black Widow also survived and I’m hoping that the writers will touch on her and Banner’s previous romance in the next movie. Honestly I think it will come down to Dr. Strange. Yes he disintegrated but remember he did say that there was only one way that everything would turn out alright—this has got to be the way. Maybe at the end of the next movie we will come back to when Strange was sitting on the rock with the time stone and this whole thing was his vision of how Thanos won but was ultimately defeated and then he opens his eyes and is like “alright, let’s do this.” Sort of like a Twilight Breaking Dawn part two kind of ending.

 Overall, I loved this movie. Marvel’s writers never cease to surprise and amaze me. It was epic throughout the entire movie and I cannot wait to see the next one. Thanks for checking out my blog.
