here's a quick rundown on astarion: gay vampire spawn (not a vampire. like a demo version vampire. a "lesser" one but don't let him hear that) who has been kept for 200 years by his master as a slave. guy (who was an actual vampire) carved him up, tortured him and forced him to lure victims into his manor. astarion has been abused in so many ways i'd hit some sort of character limit if i listed half of them. he was only allowed to feet on rats and small vermin in the sewers. poor little meow meow astarion is now free due to [game story] reasons and seeks power and revenge -- he's an edgy fuck with a lot of swag and no moral compass. bro is a menace and loves causing problems on purpose. [slight spoiler] he will literally try to suck some of your blood like a day or two after you meet him and unless you succeed a skill check he'll just keep doing it until you die. if you resurrect yourself afterwards he'll go like "ooooh ooopsie sowwy! i wouldn't kill you if i knew you'll be back teehee can we forget about this? ;) <3 don't fucking kill me". he's such a good fucking whumpee you don't even know. it's insane. i don't want to ramble but he's almost everything i've ever wanted from a character like this in a large scale rpg. [slightly bigger spoiler] despite being the go-to "fuckable" character who everyone finds hot as hell (both in-universe and online) he's HORRIBLY traumatized by his sexual experiences from when he used to be a slave and when you romance him a good portion of his storyline revolves around trying to make him realize that he's more than just a slab of very attractive meat. he hides his feelings behind a facade of "evil tumblr sexyman-esque" mannierisms and getting to finally peel it back and see him for the poor wet cat that he is is so fucking satisfying. [an even bigger spoiler] i loved watching him cry when he finally gets to confront his former master. pristine content. there's so much more to his character (and this game in general) but if you ever need to justify spending full price on a new videogame release, there's nothing better than bg3. if i could choose one game to beam directly into the brain of each whumpblr user, it'd be this one.

Not a huge fan of those in general its gotta have more gameplay than walking around and basically watching a movie, but, again. No idea about anything, maybe it has incredible gameplay and i just dont know. Dont tell me if it does itll just make ms sadder bc that would absolutely make me wanna play it myself. Its kinda funny honestly the longer i spend not knowing anything the crazier everyone seems to me both online and irl. i think the intro scene is rly interesting, bc from the other two stories we've kind of gotten an opinion of the house, so seeing it go from this overwhelming force to like. a shadow of its former self. and there's this person trying to fix it up, and even to someone who's trying to "save" it the house rebels against it / messes w/ her (all the wallpaper falling off after she'd gotten all of it on and was feeling smug of it). like ofc it's also just the house being reflective of what's put into it (rosa who's all work and no play, doesn't take care of herself and lets herself fall into disrepair / how her attempts at keeping busy to distract herself are very fragile and falling apart)

but it's still THE house! her throwing that wallpaper scrap to the floor and a floorboard literally kicking her in the head for it. only compared to the other kinds of things the house "did" to its former residents its like. almost tame? in comparison. less mind-games, more direct. even the house is perhaps tired of being what it's always been. even someone so drunk on their own misery, who's so against accepting others, can get sick of themself and want to change? maybe

GOD the entire "it's rent day" convo hitting COMPLETELY different knowing the full context of things. going in w/ the assumption that the world might be flooded but some things seem to be function, so yeah why not money ig! and elias' flippant attitude and "what about fish you need to eat" seeming like an deflection when it's really like. concern for rosa lmao. them being on very different pages

also by the timeline of the flooding moving up itself it seemed very quick.

that there are two seperate scenes of rosa turning on the water and it being clogged before gushing out. gee i wonder what that's a metaphor for certainly not her clogged "chakra" channels.

UGHH her standing in the doorway and it being open for her and her turning away from it.

is it just me or did they use jen and cosmos' character models for her parents. like not EXACTLY but the white cat/long hair orange cat...girl ur issues <3 (also her DIY book girl u do everything urself accept help from others pls)

ok genuine question cosmos coming and immediately giving jen weed. isn't weed poison to cats like i know this is fantasy anthropomorphization but poison is poison.

rosa getting excited abt cosmos and jumping up and down only to immediately tamp down on her own excitement. this cat can fit forms of repression you've never even heard of before.

cosmos mentioning "reawakening" wow of both rosa and of the house. getting to know the house, starting with the surface but it's after the scene of everyone having fun together within it. nourishing the soul of the house. also that it's in this extended portion of it, the greenhouse is i think where that empty lot was in part 2. from something lifeless and dead to something used to grow food for everyone to congregate in :) i love them.

rosa and elias' convo by the boat and it's elias saying "by tomorrow the water will be in the house" is the thing that rly makes rosa blow up at him. that's the thing she's trying to avoid thinking abt dude <3

the 3rd scene w/ her and water, the water coming out murky but after a bit clearing up again. wow almost like some outbursts are needed.

jen on cosmos "he's only here to help you move on" literally saying he came partly specifically to help rosa's friends stage her an intervention. that it was only the repeated upheaval of her (false) sense of comfort being chipped at that gave her the wakeup call she needed. when u can only escape the overwhelming prescense of ur fucked up nightmare house when ur friends hotbox it for u when ur not looking.

rosa's relation with the house really seems the most ambiguous. like with the previous 2 there was some like. explicit hostility mixed with possession. but for this one the possession is more like, dependence. and also greater self-awareness at least with self-to-house. like she's aware she's trapped herself and it's something she's settled into willingly, it's the outside she's in denial towards.

"i've been fighting this house for years", her asking the house, beseeching, "i want to leave", the studio apartment sign falling over when the house transforms into a boat. also maybe parallel the skylight opening up and the water rising to the house's level with the part 1 "a light on top of the hill, the envy for miles around" not much to see in a fog! the ground has risen up around you.

also random thing but the weathervane when cosmos first appears // it at the end i think they're both facing west? not sure what that means but something i noticed!

cosmos name being expansive being freedom/limitlessness but distinctly cosmos which is defined as "The universe regarded as an orderly, harmonious whole." distinct from the self-contained inner disharmony/chaos rosa (and all the protgs) inflict upon themselves/have inflicted upon them bc of their inability/refusal/denial of connection with others

the end song being sung by the part 2 guy....."a home is a place love and life can mix" "not some place you pour your life into" // his line "i've poured my whole life into this house!" UGHHH. Also fucking "if you're looking for a 3 story monstrosity" like yes three levels three floors three stories in an anthology. Shut the up

BUT YEAH the movie rly was explicit in all 3 parts with its themes/how the house reflected the owners (part 1: house reconstructing itself to chase some ideal "better" version of itself but in doing so made it more and more inhospitable (changing yourself to fit others) // part 2: putting on a flashy exterior, to the point of impracticality, and to the neglect of internal structural issues (failure to look at reality and take responsibility, and in doing so/attempting to push off your problems unto others will further isolate you which leaves you vulnerable to manipulation/dig yourself into the pit)

ALL of the parts having the general moral that, in attempting to abide by what society deems desirable/gives status, it's inherently doomed to fail bc you're chasing an IMAGE of something, something projected rather than anything actually attainable/sustainable.

also i do kind of go back and forth on my thoughts on part 3, bc on one hand i think it did a really good job, better than part 2, in like sinking the audience slowly into the character/reality disconnect (tho ofc the dentist revelation is the MOST slap in the face part of the movie lol).

but yeah, in presenting rosa in this very reasonable put-together 'stable' position as a landlord. like, the previous 2 were presented initially with having something eating at them/in fragile positions. but she starts out with having a "real job" with the failure being lack of environmental support- only, nope! she has the same issues the others had.

like yes she might 'own' the house, but what is ownership compared to real skills like fishing and gardening when the arbitrary structures of capitalism fall away? when it is community and industry and music and art that are uplifting?

but yeah kind of mixed feelings bc i do wonder abt the intent of having a her as the only one with a real "happy" ending, like i do enjoy the contrast between her / her tenants, that it was the free-spirit vagabonds who all had "useless" skills who were the ones who were necessary to uplift her. and it was both her initial position of, "affluence", and her kindness ('kindness' ig) ((in despite her lack of desire to face reality that she didn't just kick everyone out when they didn't pay rent)) that gave her the security to let people into her life despite her personal issues.

sooo idk compared to the other two parts, like the isolation of the others show yeah people need these supportive structures if they want to be able to keep themselves afloat*. so in a way like having the one who gets 'saved' even in an apocalypse it's a landlord lol. tho ig maybe in the end freeing herself from that title/changing the very nature of her identity and the house's identity (and physicality) adds to the house's change as well? lol it is only thru the abolition of capitalism and monetary systems that the house is freed from its burden as a status symbol ("house") and is able to become what it's always, in his blackened rotten beams, wanted to be ("home").

* (i saw another post talking abt this somewhere), and there are many structures in place that prevent this (that prey on the poor (part 1) and don't have any security nets for people who fall through the cracks (part 2) ((and that even w/ the 'pest' themes of part 2 that i'm still a bit meh on, i think the point is rather that regardless of who society deems irresponsible/blames for their own failure/is unwilling to engage with on a human level, no one deserves to be stuck in a place like where the renovator ended up))

Megatron did not tell Op he was carrying his sparkling, nor did he allow for him to be present for the emergence even after Optimus caught wind that his one night fling resulted in a sparkling

Megatron and Optimus aren’t on the best terms, both are attracted to the other FOR SURE and respect eachother as leaders, but their morals and expectations don’t rly allow for a civil conversation for long. There wasn’t much talking during their fling ofc so there was no opposition from either of them on any of their needs that night.

I’m not too sure yet how those two got together tho 🤔🤔 part of me wants to go the Stranded Alone Together route but for now let’s just say they happened lmao

Megatron was sad to see that Crusade took after their Sire more than him, they were small, a bit scrawny, and terribly beautiful. It was clear who the coding chose in the end. Crusade not have had the same imposing figure as their Carrier, but man did they had their Sire’s spark. They were a fighter from day one, and only grew to remind him just how strong and respectable Optimus was.

Needless to say that Megs was both proud and discouraged to see his Sparkling to grow to be such a promising solider and leader to the handful of Wards they took on when training the new troops. Crusade reminds him a bit too much of his one time lover.

Hmmm let’s see the most prominent figure in Crusade’s life was their Carrier for sure. That kid got nothing but back breaking training everyday to ensure that they could hold their own among to Warframed faction. Megatron was not particularly cruel, but he was not the most loving Carrier, like I said he’s but to reminded of Optimus everytime he looks at his sparkling.

Shamus and Crusade as you can see had somewhat similar childhoods, but vastly different expectations, but frankly the same goal, push yourself to be the someone who I want you to be (according to their Carriers) I think they’d get along if those two every met

So I mentioned this a while back, but I see Crusade as someone who would likey defect to a neutral faction if they could, but stays with the Cons out of love and loyalty for the young troops.

They can’t bear the thought of someone else training those rookies and sending them out to battle, somone had to be sure they don’t get themselves killed the moment they’re plunged into chaos, they’d rather that THEY be the one to train them to survive rather than defect for their own wants.

Crusade does not side with either Creator’s stance on war, they’d rather aide in the relief of those caught in the crossfire! If that means that they have to live everyday in a faction dedicated to a Cause they don’t believe in to protect the youngsters they know are bound to that same life, then so be it.

(This is not the smartest choice ofc, they stay out of what they think is selflessness, but deep down it’s cowardice. They want change but they don’t have the resources to inspire it,,yet)

So for now they are doing what they can to protect and teach the new generation of Cons. Crusade has their work cut out for them if they want to try and spark resistance and protect future generations for good, but for now they are on the sidelines!

Lmao so the Crack AU has SOME plot if you squint, for example Flug and Panzer’s stories w their families PLUS Paladin and Crusade and just a liiiiiiittle bit w Snare. So if I’m coherent with some characters than other just know that lmao I’m trying and it’s obvious who my favorites are—BC THEYVE GOT STORIES!!!

I don’t even know what to really talk about because I liked everything?? it was such a good episode and I just... AHHH. I wish we had so much more of THIS. please give them more seasons.... ik its already too late for that but pleaseee fidusdj- they just... do so well when they adapt imo. the whole comparison panels I’ve seen of the interactions with Norman, I just... genuinely think it’s such a highpoint and they did so friggin well.

I just... I’m so sad this will likely be the last season. I hope we’ll get more, in whatever form. I know there’s the manga and unless we get an announcement about more anime content at light speed, I do plan on reading it! I just... I love the anime. And it’s art. The manga’s art is unique but the style isn’t my jam and some stuff just looks a bit too stylized for my liking hhhh-

That won’t stop me but... it does make me emotional, I guess.

Let’s hope they stay on this path now that they’ve joined back in with the manga, somewhat (still, you couldnt even give them 12 episodes??).

It gave me flutters!! it’s so nice and intimate and sweet and dusdhj- THE NORMAN SQUISH. And him noticing Emma’s ear is gone TvT Her sweet, kinda embarrassed “I left it back at home” efiojsd

also the clothing line here separates the two groups, alluding to the conflict between them later in the episode. They’re strangers on two sides, and Norman is the only connecting piece.

I didn’t really dislike anything aside from Ray being left out. I just wanted them both to run for him I guess :( though it makes sense to be more distant, he also was at the shipment itself but idk, it just makes Norman seem so,,, rude that he doesn’t acknowledge Ray at all until Emma is like “hey btw I brought him too” :”D

Slap kinda deserved, on multiple fronts haha-

. Emma’s arc

a few days ago, I made that whole “anime emma’s arc” post about her feeling useless and how that might come into play - and I do hope they address it and I think they kind of are? Because GF arc Emma was always ready to have her way, even if it seemed impossible.

Either way, I feel like part of why she didn’t speak up is kind of as alluded to, that she doesn’t feel like she has the right to when she doesn’t know any other way right now. And I hope that in the next few episode we will see her headstrong and do things and be pro-active and kind of challenge that and Norman.

. Norman (+ his crew)

It was kind of on the nose when Norman held that whole speech about what she had said before, a small hint to it would have been enough I feel like, for the audience -- because I think realizing that part of his motivation in all of this was just her words and that he wanted to do that for her (I think that’s the implication) is really sweet. He is kind of the carrier here and I hope that will change because it feels like we haven’t earned this bio weapon at all - which is okay, because it probably won’t be the solution, so it’s more of a plot-moving element than an actual solution. And I hope that whatever the solution really does entail will feel less like an ass-pull and more deserved.

I feel it may have been interesting to have a pov switch somewhere in ep4 or ep5 to Norman and what he’s been up to. The reveal was kind of “...? okay?” anyway so I feel like that would have made things a little interesting, but I also really enjoy getting to know his squad now.

I’m also HIGHKEY SUS (all alarm bells are ringing) at Norman being like “Oh I just did tests” like.... BABY. PRECIOUS SON, ARE YOU PRETENDING EVERYTHING’S FINE AGAIN?

The fact that Norman didn’t bother explaining further just solidifies (to me, anyway) that he’s avoiding talking about it somewhat. He spoke about it very distantly and from an objective viewpoint.

Alone getting that tattoo on his chest must have hurt a lot. So. Please, give me a lot of angst, CW.

I hope both him and his crew will get some flashbacks or trauma moments to really solidify how badly they’ve been treated (and deliver some juicy angst).

I really loved the close-up on the meat Barbara was eating in that scene too. I felt like it didn't even have to spell it out for us that they're eating demon meat but. Oh well - it was well conveyed but I guess the characters had to confirm.

I also love that whole part about how he’s always cold to them auidhjhs - I really do feel like making a gif out of that haha.

Also only vaguely related but what’s with people who are made to be eaten, in a state of “dead??? who knows” and then coming back as a “boss” :D Yes I’m talking about beastars.

. Mujika

Norman called her the “evil-blooded girl” and the old guy called the temple “evil-blooded” too. And he said it wasn’t a place for kids to be --- and he likely assumed that they were demon kids.

Also some nice clue before we even know to connect Mujika with the temple.

A demon temple that’s “evil-blooded” and too dangerous for demon kids?

It could just be because it’s a ruin, but he IS praying for the world to change there. Mujika seems to be able to maintain her form without eating humans, so maybe that’s what this is all aiming towards.

I guess it also means that the statue with the violet veil is Mujika??? She does have purple hair I suppose.

At first, I was surprised that Norman recognized her just by the description - there’s more than one demon girl :D but I guess only one demon girl who doesn’t need to eat humans? - and I thought he may have crossed paths with her.

But for that to be the case AND for him to assume she’s alive because Emma and Ray have met her, it can’t mean he actually MET her. Because well, RayEm met her like 2 months after his shipment. Assuming he didn’t break out immediately, he couldn’t have met AND tried to do something to her (likely kill). So my guess is that she’s some sort of legend or diety or just like, commonly known and she’s supposedly dead and he’s shocked because she isn’t.

He also first asked “where did you hear about that?” assuming he also only heard about it. Norman's reaction to them having met them also isn't "when?" (so he could confirm if it was after or before his supposed encounter with her), it's shock that they met her AT ALL. Which to me, implies that she's supposedly dead (which lines up with the temple in ruin, so something happened to her line, or whatever she's a part of). And since Norman couldn't have met her before their escape (Mujika hasn't seen a human when they meet the GF escapees), that's my conclusion.

Assuming she’s dead also makes sense since her (religion’s) temples seem to be in ruin. maybe that’s why no other demons seem to have that ability (that we know of), because it was lost when her presence was destroyed (therefore the ruins) or something of the sort.

She’s never seen a human before apparantly though, so I’m not sure what exactly that means. She doesn’t seem to have wanted freedom for humans prior to meeting them either (she only seemed hesitant about eating them after all that), so I’m not sure what her own motivation in having that sort of religion would even be.

There’s of course also sonju, so maybe it is after all a religion-thing? Who knows-

As I’ve talked about before, I think it makes a lot of sense if the demons are part of the solution, I’m just really curious what that solution actually entails for the demons / what exactly Mujika is. I still think it’s plausible that another promise between Mujika and Emma will happen, considering the narrative mirroring TPN does a lot.

BELPHEGOR — i mean, it’s kinda obvious, right? (cough bbelphie is the name of the blog) ever since the start of the game, i wandered about who the fuck that resting bitch face boy was. like, honestly curious. when we met him at the attic, the first thing i thought about belphie was how manipulative he was, and although i’d have hated him, his situation and the game’s universe in general made me reconsider my choice. i found out that he was so much more complex than what i first thought of him. and i LOVE characters like that. belphegor had his reasons, his own past and way of seeing things and i just wanted to know him better, not just because i was curious, but because i’ve grown to like him, in a way. it wasn’t instantaneous, but i kinda saw that coming, you know? i’m not sure if i can explain well how i feel about him (i can’t express my feelings well in any way cof) but belphegor was the character that i was most eager to know about. (ouch i have so many other things to say about him) also he’s a sassy little shit and i love him for that.

MAMMON — the fact mammon was with us since the beginning is a big part of this place (but not the only one). and yeaaah, i know he was a little bitch about looking after mc and i was also blinded by my prejudice against personality based characters like him (narcissist, arrogant, show off) but then we get to know him better. mammon has so much more sides of his personality than that. (besides being a tsun tsun) so by that scene when we were competing against levi and lucifer saved us because mammon couldn’t make it in time, mammon was like “next time I will be the one saving you!!” i was already “YES YOU IDIOT I LOVE YOU TOO” and it was just downhill from there.

SATAN — honestly? he’s my type. the intellectual one, cat lover, fan of mystery and detective books and all that shit made me fall for him, hard. and then i saw his backstory and i fell for him EVEN HARDER. he has sooo much i want to know about! behind the facade he wears constantly in front of everyone there was so much more than the sin he’s avatar of. his arc was one of the lessons i loved the most, without doubt. though i wished the devs had gone deeper into his character, like uhhh i don’t know how to elaborate on this, but i feel we scratched only the surface of who satan really is. (besides that, satan def would be a beast in bed and my hcs about that does’t end)

LEVIATHAN — ahh it was too difficult to choose between him and beel. but i relate to levi quite a lot — animes, self depreciation, manga and all that stuff. he striked me as someone i wouldn’t like so much at the beginning but i’ve grown to love him. that was because of... well, i know envy is the deadly sin he’s avatar of, but man it’s annoying sometimes dnbfxk however! i love him either way. i just think that he should appreciate more things in life instead instead of putting himself down but who i am to talk? i used to be like that and i still am, just not as much. that must be most of the reasons of why i want to be by his side and reassure him that not everything in life is unfair, but can also be a way to make ourselves stronger. taking that emotional shit aside, i love his fanboy side!! i rant a lot about the things i like, especially animes and mangas, and seeing him so enthusiastic about things like that makes me feel like with him, i would act like myself the most.

BEELZEBUB — i love himbo!!! the giant, strong one that looks like he could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll? yes, sign me the fuck in. he’s the sOFTEST i swear to god almost all the scenes that made my heart explode with love was with him. when he asked to hold your hand while sleeping because he’s afraid of having any more nightmares about lilith and belphie and their fall from the celestial realm made my heart go BOOM. i would do ANYTHING for this boy 😭😭 beel was first i warmed up to in the game! i was gonna put him in the fourth place with levi but it would be too long.

LUCIFER — hhh this guys right here. ngl i was intimidated as fuck at first. but then i saw how he was family driven, always putting their safety and well being first and overall just being a loving brother, tho very discretely. and bruh characters like that are my DEATH??? he is so soft for the ones he loves and would do anything in his power to make them be safe and sound, even if it takes some sacrifices. i was touched by his past, how he had to hide so much from his brothers because he felt he should carry his burden alone. i especially love when lucifer tears off that prideful and powerful facade and shows that he’s capable of loving and being vulnerable and just idk man it just hits home im gonna cry

ASMODEUS — baby boy. lusty boy. ntt solmare did him dirty. he deserves SO MUCH MORE!! asmo has so much potential to be a favorite if only they had developed him better. that arc of his when we make a pact with him was lacking, in my opinion. the devs could have gone deeper into his character, showing that his not just a personification of lust, only its avatar. i’m sure there are different sides to his personality, you know? we’ve been seeing hints throughout the story and devilgrams (most of the time they’re very subtle!!) that asmo needs or/and constantly wants to feel loved, wanted, desired and/or admired. that could be a trauma or something of the sort that was created after his fall from the celestial realm. however this theory of mine is not full developed yet so i can’t really tell you guys about it in more detail. i still love him nevertheless!!

others characters:

SOLOMON — he is shady. and powerful. i love that. besides that, i think i may have a thing for white haired characters. but really, i love this guy, don’t know how but i do. there’s a lot i wanna know about him, and i feel he’s hiding or planning something big. and maybe evil. but ngl his interactions with asmo are the best!!

SIMEON — ara ara baby. i’m 100% in love with him. simeon is someone really good to have as a favorite honestly. even if he doesn’t get much screentime, anyone would realize that ever since the beginning he’s a very truthful person, with calming and chill vibes. i don’t know how to explain it well but with all the shit the brothers make mc go through, it wouldn’t be a surprise if you find yourself overwhelmed, and simeon is exactly the kind of person that makes you feel heard and seen; his atmosphere has this effect of making people feel at ease.... cough cough anyways a little bit nsfw but to me he’s either really kinky (without noticing or even knowing anything about kinks) or super innocent. that’s pretty much why i’ve seen this 50/50 aspect appearing constantly with his stans. p.s: not to be lewd but i wanna hold his hand 😳

LUKE — he’s my baby brother. i adopted him.

DIAVOLO — there’s so much of this guy we haven’t seen yet!! i know he’s like a cool dad and all but bruh, he’s the next demon king!! he must be a excelent strategist and is more powerful and intelligent than he lets on. i saw so many theories about diavolo, but my favorite so far is the one where diavolo kinda caused the celestial war indirectly. he’s another character that i feel we’ve only scratched the surface.

BARBATOS — everything about him screams “SUSPICIOUS”, he just hides it better than solomon. ngl i was rly curious about him and his powers and then i discovered he has control over TIME?? that’s too overpower!! but damn, i do love characters with time control powers...(victor from mlqc im looking at you) sometimes he looks like a dead fish. sometimes he looks hot. i don’t know bruh i’m half scared and half aroused by this guy.

that’s pretty much it i think? lmao there’s so much more i wanna say about them but this is all that comes to my mind right now!

but omg no !! thats not dumb @ all and im rly sorry u feel guilty about it !! :-( even though that initial excitement and attachment might have faded for u , i think its really awesome you had a connection to it at one point or another !! i dont get attached to media very easily (i usually fixate on one or two series for a few years at a time) & so maybe its different for u, but the fact that it meant a lot to u at one point is like..  its cool !! i dont want to dismiss how u currently feel about it obviously , but . i always appreciate the brevity of it all sometimes. theres so much to experience and so much to read and involve urself with that itd be impossible to hold it close to u forever, which is what makes that small amount of time u have with something so meaningful. 

imo its hard to keep interest in things that have ended anyways, & given kny’s situation, i can definitely understand why it isn’t that memorable . as you mentioned, the ending was rly rly underwhelming and didnt leave much of a lasting impression. the biggest antagonist had maybe half a chapter of backstory / motivation (if u call it that), the chapters & fight scenes became repetitive and hard to decipher, a lot of characters were left underutilized, and the poor handling of demon!tanjiro leaves a lot to be desired. ++ its pretty short all things considered and theres not a Whole lot of content to focus on compared to other series 

to answer ur question though, i have !! i can’t think of any examples off the top of my head (fmab might be one of them, ironically; i dont think about it too much Because i was satisfied. theres nothing else i wished to see from the characters or anything i’d have done different from memory so i don’t tend to think abt it much anymore) but i think a lot of the guilt i tend to feel comes from all the “what ifs”. what if the author took this path instead, what if the author didn’t do this, what if they had more time to accomplish their goals, etc. bc to me it shows that i liked the potential, just not the execution. and it sucks bc u can’t really change it. i end up feeling guilty because i want to be attached but i just . cant anymore yknow. stories inevitably change, sometimes for the worse, but !! i guess what im trying to say is that ur feelings are important !! theres ultimately no need to hold onto something you dont find enjoyment or interest in anymore, though its also completely okay to wish things had been different too. and if the only time you remember kny is when i mention it, thats okay too ;-)

oh god :(((( HHH!!!!!! ok im literally gonna go through this event by event. so I WALKED INTO THE ARENA with my friend to go find my seat and there’s a moment of silence before the beginning of danger’s mv begins playing. and up on the screen is jungkook playing outro: propose, that really pretty dramatic piano part. and let me tell you i literally burst into tears AT THAT MOMENT because it was just so overwhelming to realize that i was actually there and going to see them. and then there was the vcr and they all looked. he puts his hand to chest often when he sings like he’s feeling it in his soul. but he also jams out really cutely! he jumped around during run a lot (and yet is ridiculously stable still) and his hair is bouncy! he headbanged a little too :( at the end of run during hoseok’s part he took out his earpiece to listen to us. his part in dna with tae is so iconic!!! rapper jk!!!!!!!!! literally even just the way he sings “DNA”!!!!

he asked us if we were having fun!!!! babie :( (side note tae is SOO cute when he talks in english). also the army bomb ocean was so pretty it was a range of colors from yellow green to purple and it was this amazing gradient.

airplane pt2. he saunters onto the stage like nobody’s business and sits and kicks back on that damn chair with his sultry ass voice. his falsetto is gorgeous when they do that part before hoseok’s airplane rap and at the end of the song. and i know it’s only part of the studio recording but when he does the “ah ah” part i lose my mind. the way he sits with the other members surrounding him just emanates this air of power and regality but almost in a casual way like “yeah we’re royalty, what about it?”

his outfit during fake love is perfect. all of the outfits are so good i could gush about them all day but alas this is a jk ask. his sleeves are see-through and he has shiny chains going across his chest harness and i’m sure you could find pictures of it but i hadn’t looked at concert pics beforehand so i was in shock at how good the outfits were. it’s like some performing beast is unleashed from jungkook during fake love. he’s absolutely in the zone and i couldn’t take my eyes off him because his presence is so strong especially when he’s in the center. it’s like he moves his body and projects his voice perfectly to the flow and energy of the song. fake love as a whole is so captivatingly intense it’s like you’re under a spell when you watch them perform it.

ok im burning out i can only write so much DSKJHSDF but the truth untold. it’s like he transforms into full angel form at this point. his voice is incredible and his harmonies and pitch and the emotion he puts into it. also everybody say thank you stylists!

he also has such an aura during mic drop. everybody does but it seriously is honestly such a great track live because the energy is dominating and in that moment you really know that they absolutely do own the whole arena and set the stage on fire. ugh! and the strength that he has during the dance break at the end of mic drop!! unreal!

also i can’t imagine genuinely truly hating so what. like i see so many people saying they hate it but you know that when you hear it irl that shit makes you JUMP and they have so much fun on stage especially jk! we like to make fun of him for his shoot dance but seeing him go across the stage enjoying himself so much makes you feel just as much joy as him :( at this point would it really be a performance of so what if he didn’t do it?

at this point i knew that so what was one of the final performances n i was like. What. because it really passed by like a blur it didn’t feel nearly as long as it supposedly took and before i knew it they were performing anpanman so i HAD to cheer up because that song is so cute. and jk is all smiley when they perform it! nose scrunches and all! he actually gets up in a normal way during namjoon’s part. his eyes are all big and sparkly and playful and it feels very boyish!!!

N THEN DURING THE ENDING MENT JOON CALLED JUNGKOOK “MISTER COOL GUY JK” AND JK WAS LIKE “cool guy!” n then like “make some nooooiiiise!!!” n he was smiling doing his cute scrunch and rewatching this like. ive said it 50 times already but he’s seriously so pretty. his eyes are lit up and his expression is bright and there’s a blue light shining on him but his EYESSSSS :((((( he has a slight accent which is rly cute but his pronunciation is also really good and it feels like you just want to hug him really tight even though he’s sweaty but like Would I Complain.

his voice in answer: love myself is so smooth it’s like sitting in a warm patch of sun with a cool breeze looking up at the sky. ok i know i said i was burning out but am i really. rewatching the videos makes me so happy. and his harmonies were so nice. and he was moving side to side really cutely! like one of those figurines you put on the dashboard of your car and they dance side to side! n he’s so full of love. they were all moving their arms side to side and the army bombs were moving along with them i want to cry watching it again it’s so weird thinking that i was actually there it felt like everyone in the audience became one with all the members on stage jk was acting cute and he and all the members were waving to everyone in the audience in the pit and the further away and upper levels of the arena.

for a really long time i’ve never been able to pinpoint the happiest moment or memory of my life everytime ive been asked about it. for lack of a better answer i always left it vague but ever since the concert i can easily say it was the happiest i’d been in a long time and possibly ever and i wouldn’t trade that feeling for anything else in the world

I totally thought we were shaping up for a Mr. Greg-esque musical there for a sec. that was an incredible opening, and I’m glad they’re not just wrapping up the angst all nice and neat, and actually acknowledging that even tho they’d all like to move on, things are difficult to accept.

god the cartoons I watched growing up only had fleeting references to same gender relationships, if at all, and even that one great Courage episode w/ the lesbian cat and bunny had to settle for ‘best friends forever’ and no kisses. I’m so thrilled for Gen Z kids to have this be completely everyday content.

the second they showed Mayor Dewey and Jamie alone at the table I rly thought there was gonna be an affectionate look or hug between the two there omg? but the dance was great too. the 3 total Dewmies are gonna be stoked.

god Blue Diamond’s voice is so unsettling. hearing her comforting, gentle Irish accent while she talks about how she’s going destroy everyone is some creepy dissonance.

the preview implies that the Diamonds didn’t know that their attack would cause corruption apparently? Oh that’s gonna be more guilt for Blue, judging by that scene of Centipeetle crawling out (also yay Centipeetleeee).

ANYWAY so uh jeez that was a Bomb. the Best One so far honestly, and the wait for a resolution on this is gonna kill me. inevitable White Diamond reveal aside, that battle was so big, and the impact of (mostly) everyone coming back so great, that I’m guessing SU is coming to an end p soon? and honestly, I’m happy w/ that.

5 seasons, and maybe a 6th (or a series of specials)? for the final arc is good enough, and I wouldn’t want it to constantly attempt bigger and better things like.. Another show I enjoy. besides, the Crewinverse have had this planned out for years and I’m sure they know exactly what they’re doing, so that prob is gonna be how it pans out.

even tho it’ll be sad to say goodbye to it (it’s the first show I’ve ever stuck w/ since the pilot days!), I’ll be glad to see another cartoon w/ a satisfying conclusion like Gravity Falls and Avatar. <3
