i don't think i can quite articulate how much i appreciate halsey on a creative level when it comes to visuals and promo but im just in awe of how each era she's had feels like its own little universe but still so intrinsically personal and real and true to themself idk... like the way iichliwp had an entire fucking companion movie and all the hfk music videos connected together to make a full story rooted in the romeo and juliet concept of the album and now the great impersonator countdown with all the icons shes 'impersonating'. but at the end of the day the music is pure ashley pouring their heart out. i just really appreciate that they always have a clear vision going into each project and always execute it fucking beautifully

what are your fave bonus tracks/tracks from the deluxe versions of each Halsey album?

I think Halsey has a bad habit of putting their best songs on the deluxe version, so I'm very grateful for this question. Many of my favorite Halsey songs are bonus tracks!

Badlands - definitely "Strange Love," "Gasoline," and "Hurricane." I know "Hurricane" was already on Room 93, but it's crazy to me that it wasn't on the original tracklist for Badlands. It's feels so quintessential to this album.

For HFK it's definitely "Don't Play" and "Heaven in Hiding." "Don't Play" was in my top three the year HFK came out. I think it's an underrated Halsey track in general. And Halsey has a "Heaven in Hiding" tattoo! Both very iconic songs.

My all-time favorite Manic song is actually "I'm Not Mad," but I don't usually include it in my listing since it's a bonus track that came out much later than the album. But there's a world where it was the lead single for Manic and that album had a very different trajectory in the public eye. I also love "wipe your tears" and the stripped version of "Alanis' Interlude".

IICHLIWP only had two bonus tracks. Of the two, I vastly prefer "Nightmare."

TGI probably frustrates me the most, even though I understand why the bonus tracks didn't make the standard version. TGI tells such a specific story, and the current tracklist makes sense. I might swap one or two songs. But my favorite bonus tracks are definitely "Alice of the Upper Class," "Charades," and "Afraid of the Dark (Demo)".
