Tomorrow in New Zealand time will be April 14th. This marks the tenth anniversary of our Beloved Peter Steele's death. Ten years. You've already been gone an entire decade. I so wish anted a tattoo, to commemorate this occassion but we are in lockdown. I will have to wait. It's heypete. I can't escape grenade jumper in any way shape or form and I'm cool with that. The only explanation is that we were stupid kids. Now we're like grown up. You got kids. I should have guessed that one. HeyPete. Hey, Grenade Jumper was earned. If I've immortalized you in a song, it meant something. We lived it, and that was what we wanted. We wanted the music, the lifestyle, all the clubs and late nights, passing out flyers to get five people in the door and shitty vans out on roads that were likely haunted. We didn't care about anything else. I could have been a professional athlete, and there I was trying to fix a van in the middle of the road. I wouldn't change a thing. At least not surrounding that.

You know, with all that shit that came after, I should say fuck that. They'd be digging up bodies in a few months, but BUT if someone was to show up in a car that looked like it was held together with glue and tape, I also wouldn't say no. And in the end, I'd do it all again.
