Random romeo and juliet fact about me:

I learned about Romeo and Juliet way early than everyone else. Like super early, like before 3rd grade early? How you may ask? I watched an episode of Hey Arnold

I also learned about the opera Carmen that way too(both from Hey Arnold and Pbs Arthur). Like I knew the bare bones of it. But I knew about it. So when my teacher in 3rd grade was reading us this book, and mentioned if anyone knew about romeo and juliet. I was like the only one who raised their hand. The teacher asked really? and told me to explain what it is. And I did and I was right. The teacher was happily surprised I was right. Because I knew about the bare bones about it, I would quote the lines that were said in the cartoon episode whenever I played with my dolls. The bare bones I knew was the balcony scene. I just thought it was really cute and pretty to say.

I was always curious to actually read the play. Than one day when I was in 6th grade I think I borrowed a book that had both romeo and juliet and west side story from the library and read that. I loved both. So when we read Romeo and Juliet in high school I was way a head pf everyone else because I loved and read the play already. Heck by high school I saw the movies. Had the 1996 version on dvd and owned the book. Now I own several copies of romeo and juliet. So what do you learn from all of this? Cartoons can teach you things too. Not just school and books.
