hey.... i wanna know your honest Thoughts on the jjk ending? Give a rating out 10. Honestly i'm ranting. I mean the good things in the chapter were sukuna's conclusion, the flashback with gojo , queen utahime being alive yay and the nice art with everyone at the end. Usually i would wait for a story to finish before ranting/judging but my god this kinda sucked. I don't want to be too critical but god I am just disappointed and kinda mad. Overall it is an okay/mid manga ;). Gege is not worst writer but ughh. Aot or mha sure they have their flaws but my god..These should never be compared to THIS. so now we could really say that gojo stayed south. With the full chapter, this does not change my opinion cause it still kinda sucks overall even with the whole north vs south meaning. Nothing really changed in the society or lessons maybe except for yuji and sukuna. The kiddos all really went back to missions huh after everything. I have alot to say with relationships and bonds, wasted potential on many aspects but that is a whole other discussion. i totally understand we can't write a backstory for every single character but that is not what i am insinuating here and yes there should be room for a little literary interpretation . That a whole different topic... Anyways I agree with alot your rants. i would like to hear your opinions. In the end we never got to see a gjhm flashback unfortunately. Ok so let say gojo is dead dead I find it hard to believe no was like remembering or acknowledging not even his comrades ( examples shoko, utahime etc_ or the students (i mean i am pretty sure these characters would but i would like to SEE it you know) and so many hints were gearing for gojo's revival but it is meaningless... and was used for pr ngl that's sad. Maybe the anime would do better at some aspects but i will be salty anyways. i will see uta's dance ;) animated so that i looking forward to and ig the maki's massacre. it looks like it's open ending but really!? They are some loop holes but HEY FEAR not we will probably see answers to our questions in the q&a segment! sigh. I lowkey do not want a "jjk part 2" it is draining. Gege when i catch you. I think gege intended this story to be short oh well. I have alot to say but this gonna be a novel lol. Sorry for errors i was in a moment and i hoped you understood what i wanted to say. Hope the gojohime fandom would not die and looking forward to see some nice content.
Thankyou
I already went on a mini rant here. If I have to rate the ending, I'd say maybe 2-4 out of 10?
JJK really did turn out kinda mid. It has an easy anime to get into (the anime carries it mostly 🫣), to recommend for newbies, but that ending will make one hesitate to recommend it now. Maybe wouldn't even bother to.
I'm also disappointed & mad. I don't even wanna consider that Gojo is fully dead (cuz Gege went about it so terribly). Gege skipped Gojo's whole month after his unsealing then killed him off-panel a few chapters later. The north & south thing was pointless. We didn't even get to see Gojo make a choice. There were so many hints about his potential revival but they amounted to nothing.
Summed up in this image:
This Tweet sums up the terrible mishandling of Gojo's character too 😡. This other short thread pretty much says that his "death" didn't make sense for Gojo either; accepting to stay at the airport is him regressing to his teen self. It doesn't properly conclude Gojo's character arc at all. He was meant to MOVE ON from the loss of his "springtime of youth" & continue to strive for a better future with his comrades & students; the future that HE DREAMED OF 😤 (oof, don't wanna rant further on Gojo; don't wanna make this longer 😅).
Honestly, the fan theories made the story seem much better than it actually was. At least with this ending, people can finally start seeing & admitting that Gege isn't a great writer. I've certainly never thought he was 😒; I once went on a rant here about most issues with this manga, one of them being how terribly fast-paced it is. This story is the definition of wasted potential. So many missed opportunities.
Whatever Gege comes up with for the databook, it'll be infuriating. He'll try to fill in the plot holes but man, I don't think it'll be satisfying. He might not even answer the burning questions everyone has (just like Kub0 never answered everyone's burning questions about the Bl3ach ED, or more like, no one dared to ask. Maybe he himself didn't allow those questions for his interviews 😒). Hope ppl don't give him any more money, especially cuz he's still milking Gojo, such as with that Hidden Inventory movie no one asked for.
I kinda wanted a Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 ending (lol) & then on to the supposed JJK part 2, esp cuz of this sketch here but Gege fumbled hard.
Wonder if Mappa could deliver but we'll see. I only care about GojoHime's 200% Hollow Purple now. Gege made me lose most interest I had for other things getting animated. Just thinking about that ending will mostly ruin my experience... 😞
I also hope the GojoHime fandom continues to thrive. We've always lived off of crumbs... Hope ppl continue to make headcanons, fanfics, fanart, etc... I wouldn't want ppl to leave such a beautiful ship with so much potential 🥺 (I've been thru this type of thing before with Bl3ach, so despite the disappointment, I've stuck around in my ship fandoms only. I don't engage with anything else in that series. Another beloved series of mine also ended terribly but unfortunately, the fandom kinda faded or became inactive cuz it's a manhwa 🥺; if it at least had a proper anime adaptation, then...).
Let's stay strong, GojoHime fam! 🥹❤️🩹

Man Soriel is so queer. Fandom wise what queer relationship isn't like weirdly hated when anyone does any little analysis on them being potentially cannon. Get it's a really popular ship that people got tired of but man it's the funniest shit so many loved this ship so then people came up with an essay on why they could and would never be a thing and in fact was unhealthy and weird. It's so much funnier to with a good canonical friendship. Like I'm in the mha bakudeku space, it's crazy going from that where stuff is a lot more nuance but still see less people being upset with it then Soriel it's insane. I feel like I'm a time traveler in the trenches day after the war.
People insisting they are just friends and that a relationship will ruin them as if relationships can't just be very good friends who happen to sometimes go on dates sometimes is such a queer ship argument to have. Toby apparently confirmed Sans as AroAce even apparently Toby then said to not use his tweets for this but hey if true this is an actual queer relationship. And honestly, I'm sure after everything with Asgore Toriel is also not that keen on all that.
But can we talk about that because man I stumbled across a post that made me realize these bitches are so queerplatonic. They remind me so much of one of my friend's relationships. They just talking for ages doing flirting through puns to pull each other up. Like yes this is cannon Soriel. The first time they talked though that door they would have been there till the next day if Paps didn't need a night story. On the surface if the post pacifist interactions are anything to go by I'm sure they nabed a house together. Maybe everyone living together but in every ending where Toriel is alive, he always seems to live with her. There such good friends in the surface these two would totally be joking flrting that might turn to actual flirting but no one not even they know yet I don't think they'll go for anyone else. Toriel certainly isn't going after Asgore any time soon and Sans isn't going to go find someone when he's content. They'll be content on the couch watching some shitty comedy joking around cuddling even. They'll go to Grilbys or some random place once a week for some reason and people will just assume that date night for them. They'll see something in the store and buy it for a prank and cause it reminds it of them. They'll get married as a bit or only because of the tax benefit. If Frisk stays with her you know he's secondary guardian on school stuff. These two are just pure fluff with angsty talks they can only understand sprinkled in. Yeah maybe they won't be an a traditional relationship but honestly these two will definitely be in some weird romantic platonic limbo.
#undertale#soriel#Random ramblings#the queerist straight relationship#I know i'm bring up old fandom nonsense but I saw an old post and man I just realized how queer they are#Like man of course I loved queer relationships after this one fighting in the trenches for this was litterly the same thing#does any of this make sense#it's been years and they just pull you back in#seeing old discussions and art is so fun you all especially since you can't do shit about it so you're just watching everything unfold#and you can't get caught up in the moment#I'm having an absolute blast in this fandom even seeing really old stuff I'm so sorry to all of you that were in the peak and just got hate#shouts of the void

B D Z for the ask game!!!
B - A pairing I didn't initially consider but someone changed my mind would definitely be Kamasaki/Moniwa. One of my friends really liked it and it eventually leaked over to me lol. It's fun.
D - A pairing I wish i liked but just cant? I honestly can't think of any? If I wanted to like a pairing I'd just figure out how to like it.
Z - This is just automatically what comes to mind when someone asks about fandom stuff: Different fandoms and how the canon results in different quantities of specific tropes and stuff. So Naruto and Miraculous share a perpensity for salt/bashing fics due to the....hatability of the canon portrayals of many characters. Mha also has a little bit of that just due to the lack of facing some things that happen but never have consequences. (Eg, bakugo being muzzled and restrained at the sports festival, all might, etc)
On the other end we have Spiderverse which is........full of nsfw as one might expect from a work thats full of attractive characters. Don’t go in anything relating to Miguel O'hara without filtering if you want to live.
But it also works at a broader level with story tropes and things that really only show up this often in Fandom. So like Naruto has a lot of one-way timetravel fics. There's so many ways to end the world, and so many ways to go back and change it and just skew the plot wildly that they're so common, and also just so much fun. Plus Naruto is kind of split into eras in canon, and there's so much for each era, so writers tend to specialize in certain eras or characters. So an author might specialize in Founders era stuff, or stuff when Kakashi was a kid, or any number of other things. I specialize mostly from the Uchiha massacre to the chuunin exams, plus Tenten is my absolute dear beloved and so is Shisui, assuming I can keep him alive. Which I do whenever possible.
Mha has a few one-way time travel fics, but they're much rarer. Miraculous I don't think has any. That's a phenomenon just in Naruto.
Mha is very prone to toss a rock in the middle of a stream and see where the water goes type of fics. Just changing one or two details(like who has what quirk, if someone's parents died, etc) and then seeing where it goes from there. They're fascinating because it's not really angry fix-its like you see in Naruto a lot, it's more respectful to canon, and is more of a game of yes and. The variation in what you can do with MHA is fascinating.
Haikyuu, on the direct other hand, is full of AU's. It has so many characters and all of them are so good, but, well, it's a volleyball anime, there isn't exactly much world to explore. So, AU's. Plus how you often get people who specialize in specific characters or teams, or have just the one blorbo who's a rare character and just lives in their head permanently(me with Nametsu Mai my dearly beloved). Sometimes you get aus where the teams are still holding up, all groups together, and sometimes(like when im doing it usually) there's no real organization like that, characters have just been stolen and plopped down into a new location and now the writer is pushing them together like we're all just playing dolls.
Feel free to take this all with a grain of salt, it's just things I've noticed in my own adventures through fandom, someone else might have a fully different view on things, but hey, what am I if not very prone to ppattern recognition.
If I get asked about Z again I'm going on my 'The Uchiha Were Fridged' rant
#ask game#and thats my 2 cents#or whole dollar#your choice#i don't tend to do analysis just because I miss things a lot#but pattern recognition go brr and this is a harmless one#no real contriversies in what patterns i see in fandom and fanfiction

Reply to Curious Cat (12/15 - posting here for character limit)
Hey Edy, welcome to curious cat! I love your art, it's so great to find someone who likes both DabiHawks and RenKaza. Could you recommend some of your fav fics for both the pairings? I've been in the DabiHawks fandom longer so I've read a few but not really for RenKaza. (Sorry if I sent this Q a bajillion times, curious cat wasn't working for me LOL.)
Hey anon ♥ thank you so much for you words 🙏🏻 so glad you like both ships as well, they're so great!
It's quite the opposite for me, I've been in the AkaRenkaza fandom for longer and I just got into MHA! I will go ahead and list some of my favorite fics, or the ones I'm currently obsessed with!
Please, make sure to check out all the warnings and ratings before you read them!
--
🔥❄️ AkaRen/RenKaza
FLEUR DE LUNE by Zyloa You've probably already read this one, but it's one of my absolute favorites! Slight canon divergence premise where the sun rises earlier at the Mugen train set and the entire story changes. I adore this story, I have read it a while ago and I still think it to be one of the best in canonverse.
DON'T FORGET TO BREATHE by Zyloa BEST!!!! I love this so, SO MUCH! For a change, Kyojuro finds out about Akaza's backstory right at the beginning, when they first meet at the Mugen Train because he gets accidentally sucked into his dreams, thank you Enmu. It's a lovely fic, some moments really got… to my… heart?? I was holding my breath and squealing asdfghjk. Just. Too. Good. No spoilers on it but just when you think it couldn't get any better… it does.
SMOKE & MIRRORS by emilieee A favorite! Demon Slayer set in modern AU with demons and demon slayer corps still being a thing! It's slow-build but it's such good romance!!! Also, Em is evil and she enjoys Akaza suffering so if you're into Akaza suffering, there's that! The updates of this story literally never miss!
WHAT I WOULDN'T GIVE by DragonsAndCryptids T rated. This is a very lovely fic revolving around the concept of Senjurou becoming ill just like Ruka, and Akaza offers demon blood, so it deals with Kyojurou struggling to figure out if and how much he's willing to compromise to keep his little brother alive. Author's also writing a new RenKaza fic but I'm yet to start reading it!
THE NEVERENDING NIGHT by apodis This is absolutely wild. I LOVE this story, it just!! goes!! so hard!! It's like it's a book of its own and not a fan fiction. I'm sure you already know about this story but in case you don't, rush to it!
LITTLE FIGHTER BOY COMES MARCHING HOME by VTheTrashKing ADORABLE. But also very sad. Kyojuro's left to deal with a child version of Hakuji/Akaza. I think about this story a lot, sometimes I even sketch it. It's so nice.
IT'S ALWAYS SO by Chesh_Ire Sadly… :( This story hasn't updated anymore :( But I really loved the premise and these two chapters, so I'll drop them here anyway :( I thought about it so many times since reading it. Childhood sparring AkaRen (and then in the future stuff happens lmao), my heart!!
🪶💙 Dabi Hawks / TouKei
BIG REPUTATIONS by phanatics I thought at my age, after all this fandom experience 'I am NEVER reading fake relationship again'. But this is TOO good to pass on lol. Both make music and they need this fake relationship for different purposes. LMAO I'm obsessed with this fic!!! I think about scenes from it all the time haha embarrassing! I love all the social media posts and also how it manages to perfectly fit the canon story and characters into this AU setting. A lot of work into this one evidently!
INTO YOU by EloFromMars EXTREMELY CUTE because they're both unbearable. Hawks and Pro Hero Touya. They tease and annoy each other A LOT. I loved every second of it.
THRESHOLDS by phanatics Shiketsu high school AU. It's really cute and it will melt your heart. I really like stories where it's, you know, the little things, not necessarily 'too much', that make you go awwww. And this one does it. I actually wanna reread it as I type this.
--
These are the ones that are on the top of my head right now, but there's so so many, so if you'd like more or if you've already read all of these, please ask away! There's also many lovely oneshots I have not included yet!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the stories and to talk about them as well! Forgive me for taking two days to reply, I had forgot to download the CC app and so I didn't get any notification (dumb edy energy!) DW, you've only sent it once!
Have a lovely day and thank you for asking me! ♥

Second Life: Oh my god this theory is not immediately dismissable and I don’t know how to feel about that
Hey, remember this asshole?
We sure let him fly under the radar, didn’t we? Yeah, no, I’m not letting him get away that easily.
Okay, so, for literal years this dude’s face was kept secret from us. We barely had a fuzzy outline of him, then suddenly he was one of two weird ghosts we weren’t allowed to see, then that outline started getting more and more defined, and EVERYONE IMMEDIATELY NOTICED that iconic hairstyle. And then the theories went wild. For the longest time, the reigning theory was time travel, which was a very controversial idea that Katsuki someday goes back in time to become the second user of OFA.
So the fandom gnawed its fingers off waiting for a face reveal, and then LO AND BEHOLD, he is almost identical to Katsuki after all. And since the resemblance at that point became undeniable, everyone did whatever they could to explain away the time travel theory (because it’s controversial for a reason) as quickly as possible, and now we have three theories floating around that everyone has just settled on.
Katsuki time travels to become the Second
The Second is some distant ancestor of Katsuki
Horikoshi’s establishing a visual parallel between the Second and Katsuki because he looooooves him some parallels
Theory #3 seems to be the widely accepted explanation in the fandom at this time.
And I hate it.
Don’t get me wrong; I prefer theory #3 to the other two by far. But this reminds me of how for the longest time everyone assumed All Might’s OFA vestige was golden and weird because he’s still alive, even though the canon never said anything like that (and as it turns out, his vestige is like that because it’s a completely different kind of vestige, so the assumption was faulty). And it reminds me of the fandom war over Katsuki’s hero name having only two options: Ground Zero or Kacchan. And just look how that turned out.
So I’ve got another theory for y’all. BakuDekus, hold out your plates.
Theory: Katsuki Bakugou is the reincarnation of the Second OFA User
Table of Contents I. Why other theories don’t cut it II. Reincarnation references in the MHA canon III. Precedence and anime tropes IV. Mysterious Second (or why this theory works) V. The nature of quirks VI. Duality: Okay, but can we make it shippy? VII. And just who is THIS motherfucker??? VIII. tl;dr
I. Why other theories don’t cut it
As I’ve already explained, the other theories just don’t satisfy. I never like making assumptions the canon doesn’t confirm (because that’s how they get you). So, what’s wrong with the other popular theories?
Time travel: Hurk. Ugh. It’s so messy. Time travel is almost never a good thing to add to a story. It just convolutes everything and leaves plot holes in its wake. But that’s not a reason why it doesn’t work here. No, the reason it doesn’t work here is due to the lack of foreshadowing. If you’re gonna throw in a big plot twist at the very end like time travel, you have to have hints of it in the story-proper to make the reveal meaningful. And MHA doesn’t have that (at best it has Nighteye’s Foresight and Eri’s Rewind quirks, but they don’t get us anywhere close to what we need for time travel to be a good twist).
Ancestry: Innocuous at first glance, but then what was with all that narrative build-up of the Second’s silhouette culminating in the reveal that he resembles Katsuki exactly (minus hair color and maybe eye color). OoOoOOooOooh Katsuki is related to the Second! ...so what? What does that get us? Basically nothing. That’s a lot of mystery for a reveal that ultimately has no meaningful consequences to the story.
Thematic parallels: Okay, sure, this explanation works just fine. It’s just kind of a lot of effort for something totally unnecessary? Like, there are plenty of characters who parallel each other thematically in this series and they don’t look like recolored clones of each other. Horikoshi has managed to pull this off with so many parallel pairs, so I don’t think he needs to make the parallels between these two THIS obvious (not with those gauntlets, anyways; we could all make THAT connection ourselves). It’s a bit ingenious actually, because we’re so USED to parallel pairs that we just automatically default to that assumption here, allowing Horikoshi to sneak past us with another big reveal on the horizon. But again, why all the mystery??? We could tell he probably looked like Katsuki based on his outline for a loooong time before the face reveal. Seems like a lot of build-up for Izuku, the Kacchan fanboy of all fanboys, to not even flinch about the resemblance.
So if these explanations don’t work, what other possibilities are even available to us? What explains uncanny resemblances like this?
Coincidence? Plastic surgery? Horikoshi fanboying his design for Katsuki a little too hard while we all cringe?
Only one seems possible.
Reincarnation.
II. Reincarnation references in the MHA canon
Well, if time travel is out for the lack of foreshadowing, is reincarnation out for the same reason?
Nah, fam. The hints are there.
Resurrection. Rebirth. Reincarnation.
The phoenix born from the ashes.
You just have to look for the imagery and you’ll find it.
III. Precedence and anime tropes
If this theory holds, MHA would not be the first anime that dips into reincarnation territory. And it’s not a wild concept to consider in the first place; one of the primary religions effecting aspects of Japanese culture is Zen Buddhism, which isn’t so heavily focused on reincarnation as other sects but still contains the concept of it. And there are other Buddhism references in MHA, such as to the Ame ni mo makezu poem.
I ain’t never seen Naruto, but I have it on good authority that there are some wonky reincarnation shenanigans happening in it. And I hear MHA kind of maybe sort of almost borrows a tiny bit here and there from Naruto. Something about the two main characters being reincarnations of divine brothers? Said main characters being obvious points of reference for Izuku and Katsuki in MHA?
And there are many other manga and anime that have reincarnation. I’ll show my cards and say yeah, I’m caught up on the D.Gray-man manga. That one used to be a big Weekly Shounen Jump serialization. And if you know anything about the reincarnation in that, particularly anything to do with the main protagonist and antagonist, then, well, look forward to section VI.
All I’m sayin’ is: Horikoshi loves to play with his generic overused shounen tropes.
IV. Mysterious Second (or why this theory works)
Quirks. Quirks make anything possible.
We don’t heckin’ know what the Second’s quirk is! And that’s important, because it could be a reincarnation quirk (but also there are other potential ways this could come about and I’ll get to those momentarily). But what’s even more important is that we don’t know how Yoichi figured out he had a quirk that could pass on quirks in the first place! So how do you accidentally pass on a quirk???
Maybe the Second thought he was just using his own quirk at the time. Or maybe it was someone else’s reincarnation quirk. And maybe the activation conditions are similar to OFA’s.
But beyond just the mechanics, reincarnation does actually tie into the story (and not just symbolically, like through the above screenshots or through the idea of “atonement” like with Endeavor’s phoenix imagery).
Reincarnation is about life and death. Those terms have extra meaning in MHA, especially when it comes to Katsuki.
And while a reincarnation quirk is about as straightforward as it gets, it’s actually not necessary for this theory to work...
V. The nature of quirks
There’s like a little mini meta here for me to write. I just haven’t found a way to bring up these points before.
Quirks have an awful lot in common with kokoro (heart).
Kokoro refers to the essence of a person. It’s their thoughts, emotions, will, personality, etc. And the canon has often tied quirks in with personality.
The kanji for quirk is kosei 個性, which translates as “individuality” (or “personality” or “idiosyncrasy”).
And losing one’s quirk is depicted as traumatizing, leaving the victim in a catatonic noumu-like state.
But eventually those victims seem to recover. The only question is whether or not they have a personality change as a result of losing their quirk.
It’s almost a chicken-and-egg paradox.
But what’s most interesting about this depiction is how quirks are the greatest form of power in the MHA world. Many people tie in strong quirks with the hero profession. It’s just that people have different ideas about what that power looks like.
You have people who think power means combat strength. But then you also have the power of heart, the power to connect with others. Winning and saving.
And if a quirk is essentially the same as kokoro, then quirks literally are hearts.
I can only write so many metas about how One For All is linked with emotions. The point is, quirks moving around, quirks being manipulated by OFA and AFO, emotions moving around with quirks, quirks being hearts?
That’s a recipe for all kinds of variants of reincarnation.
VI. Duality: Okay, but can we make it shippy?
I could just leave it there. I could just say “Katsuki = Second’s reincarnation” and be done.
But I won’t. Let’s go a step further. For funsies.
What about Izuku? Is Izuku a reincarnation?
Maybe. He doesn’t have to be. But WHY NOT THINK ABOUT IT?
Well, who would he be a reincarnation of? Yoichi? The Third? Someone not in the OFA line?
Or...what about...also the Second?
If this doesn’t pan out I hereby invite all fanfic authors to take this and run
See, I thought about it, and my brain noticed something funny about the use of phoenix imagery for Endeavor. Mainly because he has a son, Shouto, who looks like two halves of different people shoved together into one person.
And then my brain was like, WAIT, CAN WE MAKE THAT LITERAL?
Fuck yeah, we can!
There are only so many ways I can talk about the winning and saving combo philosophy represented by Izuku and Katsuki without getting too repetitive. I’m not gonna go find you everything I’ve written about it (because that’s like half my posts). If you don’t already know, MHA is the story of Izuku learning to win and Katsuki learning to save. And they both start from level 0 when they set out on this journey.
As a consequence of this, they are often depicted as extremely imbalanced people in the early chapters. And to correct the imbalance, they need to learn from each other.
The degree to which the canon and fanon collectively talk about these two like they’re two halves of a whole is on an order of magnitude equivalent to that of the sun’s relative size to the earth. It’s astronomical.
But if quirks are hearts, can they even be split in half?
Well, they certainly can be smooshed together.
[side-eyes the firecracker line]
And it’s not like if the Second was reincarnated into two people his quirk got split in half. Katsuki got a powerful as fuck quirk, and Izuku got no quirk. Or, in fact, one got combat power and the other got rescue power, those two facets of the power of “heart” we discussed earlier.
It doesn’t have to be that they are literally two halves of a whole person, but gosh darn it does it WORK, given the themes of them as childhood friends, lacking what the other has, chasing after each other, complementing each other (yes, that’s what the Second actually said Katsuki was to Izuku in chapter 318).
It works because the Second had both the philosophy of winning = life and losing = death and the heart of a savior.
...but I also can’t discount the possibility of Izuku being Yoichi’s reincarnation just because I’m a sucker for parallels and Yoichi has his “The villain always loses!” line that parallels Katsuki’s “The hero always wins!” admiration of All Might.
Cross-parallels for DAYS!
VII. And just who is THIS motherfucker???
Uh, should we just...ignore the third OFA user though? That seems dangerous...
Is it just me, or do the details on his shoulders and belt seem...familiar?
Hmmmm...
waitwaitwaitwaitwait-
WHAT THE SHIT
Uhh...maybe in this case the ancestry theory...does work??
VIII. tl;dr
Katsuki could be a reincarnation of the Second through quirk shenanigans but also he could be one half of a reincarnation of the Second with Izuku being the other half and the weirdest part is I can’t discount this theory and also OH MY GOD IIDA WHAT THE FUCK?
#katsuki bakugou#izuku midoriya#it's- it's- BY GOD IT'S TENYA IIDA WITH A STEEL CHAIR#tenya iida#bakudeku#second ofa user#third ofa user#my hero academia#mha spoilers#mha manga spoilers#my hero academia spoilers#my hero academia manga spoilers#meta#theory#wild mass guess#reincarnation#yin-yang shippy nonsense that could be totally platonic and shockingly plausible#pspspsps bkdks#IIDA WTF

hey uhhhh just a question idk if you’ve gotten this before but do you have permission to use hawks as a character? the creator of my hero academia owns him, no? won’t you potentially get sued for using his character without permission?
That’s a great question!
So you’re absolutely right, Hawks and all other MHA characters belong to Horikoshi. But I shouldn’t have to worry about getting in trouble for a few reasons.
1. I’m not going to charge for my game.
Now there’s an amazing post (that I can’t find atm, I’ll be sure to link it when I do find it!) that goes into great detail about why monetization doesn’t really effect whether or not you’ll get in trouble with copyright on a fan work, but I’m more so doing it for my own comfort (and preference, I’m excited to publish it for free!). I am going to have a patreon and people will be able to choose how much they pay for the game, but after an early access period, the game will be available for free for everyone!
2. Fanworks (I think) are still somewhat the creative property of their creators.
It’s exactly why someone can’t just copy and paste a fanfic and claim it as their own, or why you can get in trouble for reposting fanart if the artist doesn’t want you to. The characters and the world are Horikoshi’s, but the story, the dialogue, the script, the sprites, (the game, basically) all that stuff is mine as far as I understand.
3. I don’t think Horikoshi and his team will really care, tbh!
Yes, they could absolutely send a cease and desist if they really wanted to (and there’s no way I could take them to court over it so I’d just do it!), but they could also probably send a cease and desist to every fan artist, writer, or creator on the internet. This is another thing the post I’ll link later talks about, but usually companies won’t worry about fan works unless they’re taking away purchases from the company (like when people post the manga chapters online, or if they were planning on making a Hawks Dating Sim in the near future, which I don’t expect), or affecting the image of the original work / brand. (Disney, for example, cracks down constantly on 18+ fan works because they want to keep their brand very kid-friendly.) But other than those reasons, fan works help keep a fandom alive! And the more alive a fandom is, the better for the original creators! So I really can’t see them being that bothered by my game. At least, I hope!
And anyway, if Horikoshi or someone on his team really wanted me to stop, of course I would! But honestly, I just see it as another fanwork, like a mix of fanfiction and fanart, and fan-games happen all the time! So for the most part I’m not super worried about it :) Thanks for asking, I’m always happy to answer questions! 💞💞

(IMPORTANT UPDATES) Look back at 2019
Big changes for 2020! Hey there everyone! 2019 has come and gone, another year passed and a new chance for me to try and improve myself when the new year starts! As far as I know me and my family don’t have plans to celebrate New Years other then of course spending time together, but I want to post this now just so that it’s out of the way it’s posted and I won’t have to worry about. If I can be honest, 2019 towards the last few months of the year has been a real punch in the face..multiple punches. I’ve broken off connections with people who treated me wrongly in the past, had random breakdowns at school (don’t worry they weren’t seriously bad), had trouble with siblings - it’s been overall, a very up and down year for me, but sadly towards the end and in the running up to Christmas, it was mostly down. But hey, 2020 means the start of a new year and a new chance to grow stronger as a person and an artist!..Seriously though 2020, please be kind to me- As you can probably from what’s in the title, there are going to be a few big changes to my characters and stories going into 2020. I’ve been thinking about this stuff a lot ever since mid August, it’s been something I’ve mentioned to one or two people, but ultimately I had to make the choice. And now with 2019 gone and done and 2020 being the opportunity to start fresh, I think it’s a good time to make these announcements. I understand that this may upset a few of you and yes it is going to make things a bit confusing for my NGAU, but this is my choice and I’m confident that making this choice will lead to me being much more happier with what I make. 🔸I will not be continuing my Zoophobia: Next Generation book series To anyone new who doesn’t know what I mean, Zoophobia: Next Generation was a book series I started back in December 2018, which included my own NG’s and one or two OC’s from the fandoms Zoophobia and Hazbin Hotel. Since the first book the series has since gained a lot of attention on Wattpad, and believe me when I say that I am truly grateful for how much positive attention the series got! It was my first time ever writing something on my own and it felt really special to know so many of you liked what I was doing! But as the series went on, I slowly began to loose my drive to continue writing. This is something I’ve admitted to close friends, but now that I’m older and I’m more aware of errors in writing and certain ways in which writing can be written to be better, I realise that the series isn’t up to my current standards. The story itself isn’t one that I’m proud of, and as my first book series, I feel like I was biting off more then I could chew when I first started writing this series. Ive realised that the story line I had in mind would be too hard to work into both Zoophobia and Hazbin Hotel without me having to make very big changes to either of those fandoms current stories and/or certain characters personalities, and though yes it is my own AU so if I wanted I could change the characters to fit better with my story, but honestly, I don’t want to change the characters. The characters from Zoophobia and HH I absolutely adore and there isn’t much I want changed about them, so I don’t want to alter the characters drastically to the point where they become an entirely different character. The main drive of the story with the main characters didn’t pick up till around the second book, and when I first started writing, the story line wasn’t even finished, I was just going with the flow and linking one thing to the other, hoping people would like it just as much as I did at the time. And lastly, this is probably the biggest reason why I’m no longer going to be continuing the series, but the first couple of chapters of the first book where too heavily inspired by another book series: I don’t want to continue to create something, when I feel as if it’s been too heavily based around someone else’s work. I want to create my own stuff and I feel as though the first book just isn’t that, it’s not my own work, and that’s leaded to me viewing the first book as my least favourite. This means that from now going forward, any events that took place in the book series is now no longer cannon. Some headcannons will be changed and altered due to this, for one Eve’s Headcannon will be changing as she will now most likely be alive in my NGAU now, so the stories I had planned for her such and the stories I already posted are no longer cannon either: I will say also that this also counts for my Eve X Hatchet NG Diego, he will remain cannon and will most likely be alive also. As for the characters that where involved in the books such as Lucy, Maggot and Bumbuss, I’ll figure out what to do with them. I defiantly want to keep Lucy as she was the very first OC I ever made for the Zoophobia fandom that wasn’t a NG, but I’m unsure on what to do with Maggot and Bumbuss. As much as I now don’t enjoy the series, it was fun to write while it lasted, and I cannot stress enough how grateful I am too everyone who ever read, liked, or commented on the series! But from now on, I won’t be returning to the series. I held off on announcing this and the reason it took me so long to decide this was because I didn’t want to leave you guys without a conclusion to the story, the series was only one book away from completion and I didn’t want to cut off the series so close to it being finished. But again, the book series isn’t something I enjoy anymore, so I hope all of you can understand and will hopefully look forward to the further projects I have planned 🔸New books to come Though my main book series will now be ending, I have a lot of ideas for new book series. Since the second and third book I had been having ideas for stories that could take place after the series, and the reason I kept doing the series for as long as I did was because I really wanted to start work on the stories that would take place after the series was finished. One of my goals for the new year is to try and push out more stories and book series for you guys, I feel like I’ve defiantly been lacking in the story department, mostly because I couldn’t find any ideas for illustrations to go with the story, and because I always felt too tired to ever finish any stories or illustrations. None of these story ideas yet have fully scripted out story lines, so far they’re just ideas and until I can get a script done for them, I won’t be starting work on them. I want these books to be as great and they can be, and not only do I want to make something that I can be proud of, but something that you guys will enjoy as much as I do. These ideas are in no particular order, and I haven’t decided if I’ll defiantly be doing all of these just yet, but here are some ideas I’ve had for books/book series for the future: -A book with my NG Box explaining her past before she came to live with Ribbon -A book with my OC Willem and how he discovers another hybrid like himself -Nidra’s story as she grows up to accept a new family, while letting a beloved friend go to persue their own life -Junior reapers: a story/series of stories involving Lotus, Charcoal, Parfait and Rae as they go on a quest to become junior reapers Maybe a MHA + Dragonous story *Dragonous is a Villainous dragon AU created by shabiest (Instagram), I will need to get permission from them if I want to write a book with this AU* Recently I got into My Hero Academia, and you can all blame that on my cousin When I first saw the series I kinda rolled my eyes at it, I’ve never really been a big anime fan the style never grabbed me when I was younger: and all I can say is that I should defiantly have given the series a try sooner MHA is a series I’ve come too really enjoy and love, I love the characters the story the dialogue, everything about this show! I’ve said this before but what I love about the show is how it’s great at showing us a large range of characters without straying too far from the main plot, and how this show makes me feel: there have been times where this show has had me emotionally frustrated, sad and happy, and if a show or a movie can make me feel a powerful emotion (angry sad or other), then I’m down for it. I’ve since made a few OC’s for the fandom, and I’ve been thinking about making a book about it. It’s not scripted out yet, and some of my ideas play into some events in season 4 - but if you guys enjoy MHA and you enjoy my OC’s, please let me know your thoughts! And Dragonous, a Villanious AU I’ve come to adore! I’ve always been a big fan of dragons, they where my favourite mythical creature growing up! (And still are to this day), with the creators permission I’d like to create a book with the few OC’s I’ve made, this one may not happen because again I need permission, but tell me your thoughts! Merch Again, something I’ve mentioned before, and something I’ve been really wanting to do! Me and my dad have made a shirt design with one of my OC’s, so far it’s only black and white (we’ve decided to go simple black and white since it’s my first time making merch), and hopefully if all goes well we can start to make more colourful merch However this all depends on you guys: I may be opening up commissions in the future, though I can’t say when, but this will depend on you: I have a PayPal and a KoFi if you guys wish to support me and my work (no pressure though!), every little bit counts and it would mean so much to me if you guys would consider supporting me and my work, even if it’s something as small as a pound! 🔸Collabs/art trades/design trades/RP’s There’s nothing really big to say about these things, but I have decided that from now on that I will only do these kinds of things with close friends.
Finally, I want to say a big BIG thank you to everyone who has stuck around on this crazy train ride to support me. This year as I said at the beginning, has not been the best for me towards the end, and I am so grateful to all the support you guys gave me. I know that I'm not very good with replying to comments/messages, and I'm so sorry if I never got round to replying to your message or comment, but I do read the comments, I do see the wonderful things you guys say, and it's absolutely delightful to see the nice things you guys say! I want to give a big big BIG thank you to these wonderful people who have been there for me, whether it was to geek out over a show to if they where there for me when I needed support: @hazbinextgeneration - You've been an amazing pal right from the beginning, you where one of the very first people I met when I first got into the Zoophobia and HH fandom and you've been an absolute gem! You've been there for me when I was down and you've listened through out all of my nerd outs about characters and shows, and to have someone listen to me meant so much! You comment on nearly every piece of my work and you're always so kind and giving! Not only to me but to so many others! You've made me a lot and fanart and I'm sorry I don't nearly do enough for you in return, going into 2020, I want to change that! @cosmic-artzz - If you hadn't been there to listen to me and help me out, I honestly don't know what kind of situation I would be in now. You helped me cut off ties with people I honestly wasn't happy talking with, and despite being dragged into my drama over and over again, you where still there to listen to both sides of the argument and give advice on how I could make things better. You've always been a delight to talk to and I'm so happy we had the chance to become friends! I'm so sorry you get dragged into my troubles as much as you did dude! Going into 2020, I promise you I'll be more confident in putting my foot down when I feel as though I'm not being treated fairly! And lastly, I want to thank all of you! For sticking with me on this crazy journey! Here's to 2020 and hoping its a wonderful year!!

If you feel like giving t a look, here's the tally I was making of all the BS I saw being thrown around this Volume. It got disorganized near the end, unfortunately, but should be readable. I don't recommend reading if you're not feeling good, because the sheer amount will probably make you feel worse. You can also just delete this if you want. I'm not adding any more to it(going to attempt to stop looking for it all until next time), but I am keeping an eye on the ones harassing the CRWBY.
docs(.)google(.)com/document/d/1e_G931X02-e10qQHWD_nTHbJmZ_B1T-KSqrw0NaoNWk/edit?usp=sharing
Yes it does work FYI.
But damn dude, this beats even me out on the level of archeiving bullshit. And I’ve been obsessively playing modded Skyrim for a couple days so I’m actually feeling pretty good.
Let’s go through this all.
Week 1:
-Vexed Viewer Accuses the CRWBY of ripping off MHA (https://twitter.com/VexedViewer/status/1190773489139142657)
Yeah saw this when it was originally going around. It’s still just a ‘heroes standing together confidently’ shot. If you watch enough media, you see this a lot.
-Adel aka says that bring back Penny invalidates Volume 3/spreading ,misinformation about 7-1 (https://twitter.com/dandy3000/status/1190733104190758912)
Not watching his video. Just gonna say that- Between Yang’s missing arm, Pyrrha, Roman (whose death is AFFECTING Volumes 6, 7 and 8 so far), Ozpin ect.- It’s certainly NOT invalidated. As for the misinformation: Yeah not surprised.
-Floof rigs his bingo to ‘win’ as an attack against the writers, calling a ship “cancer” and calling their outfits retarded. (https://mobile.twitter.com/TheFloofArtist/status/1184022188178886656)
Yeah saw that too. He’s kind of full of shit.
-Admits to pirating the show (https://mobile.twitter.com/TheFloofArtist/status/1190654072262512640)
So effectively: Floof is not a part of the audience. Listening to him will not yield you any benefit. Because Floof is still gonna pirate the god damn show sos ignoring will make things simpler.
Dumbass.
-Making a ‘parody’ of Volume 7′s opening to take potshots at it
And he got it copyright struck down. Yeah funny thing about Copyright, it’s not an actual law. It’s a legal defense. And Floof’s bullshit was copying the OP BEFORE it was out officially so RT actually has a reason to take it down.
You fucking got that one coming, Floof.
Calling Ruby seeing Penny alive an ‘insult’ (https://mobile.twitter.com/TheFloofArtist/status/1190832821796892672)
Saw that one: the statement’s bullshit.
- ‘Ilia definitely exists for pandering reasons but it's funny because she's presented as a crazy murdering sociopath and gets redeemed instantly when Blake sits on her lap in V5 I really don't understand why anyone is a fan of her, she straight up tried killing Blake's family‘ (https://twitter.com/TheFloofArtist/status/1191889007413579776)
Someone show this to RWDE, I wanna see the infighting.
-Admitting to piracy again (https://twitter.com/TheFloofArtist/status/1191830069078982656)
Jesus Floof, you’re killing yourself even more than I thought.
- Lightning In My Hand falsely accusing RWBY of ripping off Code Vein and other series (https://twitter.com/theKitanoHouse/status/1190765532338966531)
He fucked up so badly even his twitter responses are calling him out.
Seriously, especially with very common shots like these, you need a very specific example to call something a rip off.
-Calxiyn trying to get at CRWBY for...a dark skinned character not having curly hair? (https://mobile.twitter.com/Calxiyn/status/1190741846747729920)
... leave it to the fanboy to have the dumbest thing I’ve seen so far.
Not only is race not the same in both our worlds but not all dark skinned people have curly hair!
- Still going after the comics even though they’ve been fixed
I have mixed feelings about that actually. On one handed, they could have just credited the guy or said they just had the same design by mistake (unlikely but still possible) but on the other she should have just moved on.
- IncorrectBumbleby saying Vic sounded like a cartoon.
Yeah gotta agree with you on that. Even if you consider Qrow’s old voice cartoonish- It worked EXCEPTIONALLY well.
-Says Vic also sounded like a ‘parody’
That’s just a stupid opinion (in that it doesn’t make sense). Probably is Vic bashing.
-Otaku Daiki wanting RT to lose RWBY
Tried looking him up- Can’t find anyone definitive. But to those arguing this, let me say: You think RWBY is soulless now? Just wait until a much bigger corporation who abuse creators and never knew Monty get a hold of it.
-Celtic Phoenix going after one of RWBY’s Writers (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mt3_bU9WzVA)
For the love of god- YOU CANNOT EXPECT PEOPLE TO PROPERLY RESPOND TO A THREE HOUR VIDEO.
It takes me about two hours to respond to a twenty minute video and I work with PURE TEXT.
- TheANIM06609813 hoping for RT to burn (https://twitter.com/TheANIM06609813/status/1191826952031629312)\
Nothing says ‘jilted lover-type fan’ like hoping the company to burn over writing differences while referencing a different company with no connection (Marvel)
-Hero Hei demonizing the RWBY fandom
Sorry man but without a specific citing I can’t say. Although him saying he doesn’t care enough to break something down HE’S MAKING A REVIEW OF says a lot.
-LJ/Berweebzy saying the fandom is full of retards and sociopaths (https://twitter.com/Berweebzy/status/1192427380431831041)
Bullying over ships happen in every fandom To be honest. And you can’t bitch about shipping bullshit then about it being faked this way.
-The cleo incident (a fake suicide attempt to demonize the fandom and shippers). (Proof: https://blakebellafuckingdonna.tumblr.com/post/188873797766/rwby-fandom-here-here-gather-around / https://captmrambeau.tumblr.com/post/188870982442/rwby-fandom-here-here-gather-around)
I think the only good thing to come out of this was Hero Hei doing some real journalism for once.
And considering that this 91 pages long (with very little personal input): I’ll stop here. Not reading mind you, just giving my own thoughts.
Damn man, you deserve SOMETHING after all this.

Crossover Idea #9 – My Hero Academia/Bendy and the Ink Machine
Izuku ends up sharing a body with the Ink Demon and slowly changes his mind about wanting to be a hero – he ends up being a villain instead
Still haven’t read/watched My Hero Academia, but I’ve read a lot of fics in that fandom and recently I’ve been browsing the Vigilante/Villain!Izuku fics, and then suddenly my brain went “hey man, do a BATIM crossover of this.” And, well, here we are.
So, the basic idea of this story is as follows – the Studio (and all the monsters/people in it) where actually a product of both Joey Drew’s Quirk and some occult stuff he dug into in an attempt to make his creations last for longer on their own instead of relying on him. In the process he accidentally made sentient self-sustaining Ink, which in turn became the Ink Demon when it grew strong enough, and then the whole downward spiral of BATIM canon backstory basically happened with one major twist – Drew managed to deal with the Studio’s occupants on his own without Henry ever needing to be involved, and decided that he was going to just chuck all the evidence of what he’d done into the ocean – including what was left of the sentient Ink that made up everyone in the Studio, in the hopes that it would just dissolve into the sea thus officially be “dead.”
What actually happens is that the crate with the Ink in it eventually washes up on the shore at Mufastu (think that’s the town?), and the Ink breaks free and, since a lot of it did get washed away by water leaking in, starts trying to gain enough ink to reform by basically sneaking into stores and stealing from people. Eventually, though, people catch on to this ink black blob, and since it’s been hurting people in the process of trying to reform (by sort of possessing them/absorbing their minds??), the local Heroes start chasing after it, and after several months, the Heroes finally get a lucky break and manage to both figure out its weaknesses and isolate it in an empty warehouse to keep it from getting away.
Except the warehouse isn’t quite empty, because guess who got shoved into that same warehouse and locked inside of it by his bullies earlier that day? Who else but a 11-year-old Izuku, who, when the Ink tries to possess him in a last-ditch attempt to escape the Heroes, somehow accidentally traps the Ink in his own body with a passive quirk he never knew he had, and then flees in panic.
At first, Izuku is not happy about having what’s essentially a villain sharing a body with him. Especially since he starts having nightmares of the Studio and everything in it from the Ink Demon’s pov, and the Ink keeps basically using him to steal ink to eat so it can get stronger. When he wanted a quirk, he didn’t want this! Except… then a series of unfortunate circumstances leads to him never getting into UA. And the Ink, though sinister and deadly, has been reluctantly helping this kid, because now that they’re stuck together the Ink really doesn’t wanna test what will happen if the kid dies. And Izuku’s been seeing memories of some of the worst things that people do to each other, through the memories of everyone trapped in the Ink. And how villains are treated by Heroes. Suddenly, the notion of being a normal Pro-Hero doesn’t quite appeal to him as much any more… and when All Might tells him he can’t be a Hero because he’s quirkless, well, that’s the last straw.
So instead of going to UA, Izuku decides he’s going to become the vigilante/villain that shows people just how wrong the current system is about treating their “villains” and everyone who eventually becomes them… with the Ink, and eventually the Ink Demon once the Ink fully recovers, acting as his Quirk to help him.
Details of this crossover I’ve figured out:
Joey’s quirk is called “Animation.” Anything he draws on paper can come to life, but only for a very limited period of time, and it only really works with ink, not pencil or anything else. Problem is that Joey’s creations can only really last for so long before they fall apart.
So when Joey decided he wanted to bring his creations to life permanently, he started diving into some old occult stuff from the pre-Quirk era to find something that could make his creations self-sustaining. He finds something that works a little too well, and ends up accidentally creating the Ink.
According to the Dreams Come to Life book, the Ink in the studio is actually alive and manipulating things. Here that’s not exactly the case – Joey literally just accidentally created a sentient liquid being with initially no sinister intentions unless you count trying to, you know, survive. It’s not controlling anyone, even if all the ink critters are made of it.
The Ink starts off as shapeless, but slowly begins shaping itself into the form of the Ink Demon. So, basically, the Ink Demon and the Ink are mentally one and the same here, it’s just that the Demon is the Ink’s properly solid form.
Joey is of course irritated, because in his mind this thing has no right to exist, and tries to get rid of the Ink Demon. This is a big mistake. The Ink Machine, though not directly bringing the demon to life or anything, has been pumping ink into the Demon p much ever since he existed, without Joey realizing it, so the Ink Demon is almost literally unstoppable.
Joey does end up eventually destroying the Ink Machine, thus cutting the demon off from their supply of ink, and then uses acetone on it until it’s an inky blob again, then shoves it in a leaky container and chucks it into the ocean, in the hopes that when water started leaking in it would dissolve the Ink and ultimately kill it, and thus erasing the evidence of his crimes.
What actually happens is that the container ends up washing up on the shores of Degobah(?) beach (what’s one piece of trash amongst others?) and manages to break out. The Ink then begins searching for normal ink to “eat” so it can become strong again – it doesn’t like being weak.
However its abilities as nothing but liquid are limited and so it starts trying to manipulate people into stealing ink for it and accidentally discovers it can possess people a-la the sludge villain from MHA canon, only the people’s minds are trapped in its ink when it leaves instead of dying, putting those possessed people into a coma regardless of how long the ink is in them. Still, if they have a useful quirk the Ink can use it, and that’s good enough reason to keep doing it.
The Heroes eventually catch on to these possession tactics and start hunting this creature down in earnest, since its obviously dangerous. Negotiations don’t work – it just attacks, seemingly mindlessly to them. They then try fighting it – that doesn’t work out because so long as it’s got a mouth or nostril or even breathing tubes to get through it can possess literally anyone regardless of their quirk, and while freezing it does sort of work it’s only really frozen on the surface and the rest of the ink is warm enough to start thawing the rest of it.
Eventually though a certain flaming garbage can finds out that the “liquid” they’ve been chasing is strangely flammable (as some pen inks are). Then suddenly things start getting worse for the Ink FAST.
The Ink eventually gets cornered in an old warehouse on the shore that nobody uses, and Endeavor ends up getting permission to burn the thing down since this “villain” will clearly not come peacefully and literally nothing else seems to permanently effect it other than fire. He has people block off the warehouse entrances and burns the place to the ground with great glee, and it seems to the Heroes that the Ink is now dead.
Not quite, as it turns out. Because earlier that day, Izuku got locked into that same warehouse by his bullies, and the Ink desperately tries to possess him in the hopes of being able to use his mystery quirk to escape. Except of course he has no such quirk. Instead, he has an unregistered passive quirk that somehow fuses the two beings together into one body while leaving them with their individual minds. This allows Izuku immunity to most of the Ink’s more harmful tricks, though possession is definitely still on the table (for limited periods of time).
With flames rising around them, the Ink, sensing an opportunity, intimidates Izuku into keeping his silence as they try to escape, because nobody’s ever survived the Ink possessing them before so the Heroes will probably try to hurt Izuku thinking he IS the Ink, and if he’s quirkless he can’t defend himself, can he?
Izuku ends up escaping with the Ink in tow by sheer luck – one of the nicer Heroes sees a scared, burned, scorched kid escaping from the blaze, and after asking him a few questions (the Ink never talked to anybody before, just acted “mindlessly,” so the Heroes mistakenly believe it’s mindless and thus cannot talk) he lets the kid go, telling him to run home.
After that, things are difficult for a while – the Ink has basically threatened Izuku into silence considering its existence, and sometimes forces him into letting it puppet his body to grab ink to eat and heal itself with. It doesn’t help that the Ink’s on edge, fully expecting to eventually end up getting caught again, and its nervousness is rubbing off on Izuku, who gets even more skittish than normal (not that anyone except Inko and Bakugou really notice, and Izuku can lie to his mother p well when under pressure as it turns out, and Bakugou could care less about “Deku” at this point.)
Eventually, though, the Ink calms down when it becomes clear that the Heroes have written it off as dead. It still uses Izuku’s body to steal ink to heal itself, but other than that its… calmer. Less threatening-feeling to Izuku. And having it around is actually helpful to the poor kid too, because having the Ink fused with him means he’s gotten its abilities as well, including healing from drinking ink, which helps avoid awkward questions about bruises and stuff wonderfully.
On top of that, realizing that it was a bunch of Pro Heroes that burned down the warehouse he was stuck in sort of shook Izuku’s faith in Heroes. Like, a lot. All Might wasn’t one of those Heroes, though, so he still admires him and wants to be like him, complete with being a Hero himself.
This is the prime reason why they stay on edge around each other for a couple of years, because the Ink hates Heroes (they tried to kill it, and Joey once admitted he had aspirations to be a Hero when he was younger until he found his true calling in life – that’s enough for a grudge in the Ink’s mind) and Izuku’s a little scared of it because of the previously mentioned threats and the fact that he’s technically sharing his body with a villain.
Then comes the day when Izuku’s told by All Might that he can’t be a Hero because he’s quirkless. Izuku is heartbroken, and thanks to the trauma and the Ink’s influence over the last couple of years, he ends up just… giving up on being a Hero. What’s the point of trying, when his idol says he could never succeed, and all other Heroes might hurt him?
This is when the Ink, wanting to get revenge on the Heroes that nearly killed it, and possibly Joey as well, gets an idea which it presents to Izuku – become a villain. Rob a bank or something. Izuku’s against this at first, trying to scout out actual legal jobs, but as it turns out, hardly anyone wants to hire a quirkless teenager no matter how good his grades are if there are people with quirks they can hire instead.
So Izuku’s slowly worn down to the Ink’s idea, and after some very careful planning, lots of training with the Ink in how to use its abilities, and finagling a promise out of the Ink that if Izuku doesn’t want to keep doing the villain thing that they will stop after this, they end up robbing a major bank.
Izuku wasn’t intending to keep doing the villain thing after that – robbing a bank of that much money is bad enough – but then he sees how everyone and their mother is talking about his villain persona, and how the news is painting him, the quirkless loser, as a threat. And suddenly, he’s feeling a vicious kind of satisfaction at his actions. That’d show everyone – his bullies, Kaachan, they were all wrong, he’s not useless!
So Izuku starts tentatively committing more crimes. At first he keeps to robbing places to get money. Then some local criminals try to corner him when he’s out and about as a villain (to get his money that everyone now knows he probably has) and Izuku ends up killing his first person in self-defense.
He freaks out about this big-time at first, especially since due to basically drowning them in the Ink, their minds are trapped inside of his own body along with the Ink itself, and god but does it give him nightmares to hear them screaming. But as more and more criminals start coming out of the woodwork to try to get rid of him, and he starts slowly getting used to killing, and the Ink outright encourages the whole killing-people thing, he slowly starts to take a vindictive satisfaction in killing people too.
Eventually, around the same time that the Ink recovers enough to become the Ink Demon again (when it can convince Izuku to use enough ink at once for their body to form, they’re still connected) Izuku’s convinced to plot a proper villain debut in the underworld. No more just robbing banks and killing people in self-defense – time to act like a proper supervillain.
So, after some more careful planning, practicing summoning the Ink Demon and other super-Ink abilities that the Demon was holding back on until then, and planning their “costume,” Izuku and the Demon make their debut as a duo of villains.
Izuku’s villain name is “Inkstone,” and by this point he’s sort of learned to associate being a villain as his safety blanket – nobody knows who he is, nobody thinks he’s a quirkless loser, HE’S the dangerous one like this – so he’s a lot more confident as Inkstone than as Izuku, and has even decided to put on a bit of an act to make it harder to identify him – “Inkstone” outright worships their villain partner, and will willingly claim that the Demon “saved him from being worthless.”
His starting costume is basically just black clothes, shoes, gloves, etc, with a bunch of ink leaking out of his hair turning it black and dripping down his forehead. He also orders some black contacts to put in to disguise his eyes and complete the spooky-ink look, and he’s naturally a little pale, and his freckles are hidden pretty well by the dripping ink.
Their initial debut involves killing a small-time hero – more specifically, the same Hero that let Izuku out of that burning warehouse, in order to keep him from identifying Inkstone as the same kid he saved from a burning building. The two of them team up on said Hero and kill him as a warning to the rest of the criminal underworld to not mess with them. (They also use the Ink to absorb his mind like other people in the past – having his knowledge could definitely help in the future.)
After this initial debut, Inkstone and the Ink Demon quickly take over the criminal underground. Nobody wants to mess with the duo that mercilessly slaughtered a Hero and left his corpse hanging up by the police station.
Nobody wants to mess with a giant hulking demon made of black shiz, either, especially since the underworld catches on faster than the Heroes and figures out that hey, these two have something to do with that string of comas that was happening a couple years ago. Soon Izuku has a healthy trade going, and ends up cornering the market when it comes to information gathering – all he and the Demon have to do is grab the right person and absorb their mind into the Ink, and bingo, they’ve got info.
At some point these two end up going up against Dabi and Toga (who have joined the League at this point) and end up absorbed by the Ink as well after a grueling fight – however, instead of their minds eventually being broken down by the Ink like all the others, the Ink Demon finds something very interesting in their minds – the existence of the League of Villains, their apparent goals and of course, Dabi’s history as one of Endeavor's sons. (They don’t pay much attention to UA stuff except to keep an eye on future heroes – they know that class 1A was attacked by villains and that’s about it at this point.)
And also the fact that neither of them are nearly as scared as most people that got absorbed have been. Toga’s mostly whining about not being able to make people bleed anymore, and Dabi’s furious that he didn’t manage to get revenge on Endeavor.
Neither Izuku nor the Ink Demon are thrilled about this – Izuku because while he is indeed a villain at this point, he still has some morals, and he still admires All Might and doesn’t appreciate the League trying to kill the man. The Ink Demon’s more pissed off about the info on Endeavor over anything else, because this man is reminding it a lot of Joey.
In the end, the two of them end up using Dabi’s information to kill Endeavor for him (with Dabi’s blessing – yeah, he’s dead, but he’s also cheering his killers on because fuck Endeavor), and exposing his dirty secrets to the world to discredit him after death (also with Dabi’s blessing). This is when Inkstone and the Ink Demon are officially designated as super-villains rather than normal ones – they took out the number 2 hero.
Dabi may or may not end up being basically revived as an ink creature by Izuku, since the guy wants to hang around and keep an eye on his siblings. Also, he’s NOT going back to the League, thanks – he was more a vigilante in mindset than anything when he first got recruited.
Toga may also be kept around because the Ink Demon finds her bloodthirst and her excitement about killing folks amusing. Also, they need some trustworthy minions and if these two are made of ink now, Izuku and the Demon can control them if need be.
Of course, now being considered one of the top villains in the country has a downside – in that everyone knows about them now thanks to news coverage. This includes All Might, who Izuku still admires and never wants to go up against if he can help it, and Joey Drew, who basically spittakes when he sees the international news and realizes oh shit that’s his creation being a supervillain in Japan how.
All Might eventually tracks down Inkstone, and Izuku doesn’t bother trying to hide that he’s an admirer of All Might (which makes All Might uncomfortable because oh god this better not be like Stain all over again.) Izuku’s also willing to give him some info on the League that he got from Dabi, such as info on their next moves as Dabi knew them – and All for One’s location, since they managed to get that thanks to Dabi snooping plus absorbing some of the rest of the league.
When All Might wants to know why, Izuku tells him that All Might simultaneously saved him (true) and ruined his life (also true), but that he doesn’t hold any grudges against him for the latter – I mean, look, Izuku actually has a life now instead of being a loser like before, and its all because All Might shattered his hopes and dreams! (All Might is of course horrified by this.)
Joey crosses over to Japan at some point and attempt to get rid of the Demon for good this time. This doesn’t exactly work out because the Ink Demon is publicly enraged by his presence and makes this known in spades – and exactly WHY. Joey gets arrested pretty fast after that, but not before Izuku and the Ink Demon basically pummel him into a coma. The only reason they don’t kill him is because the Heroes catch up before they can.
Izuku may or may not have spilled some of his life story on camera while being driven into a rage, though, so that causes problems.
Eventually Izuku gets found out to be Inkstone, and may or may not end up being confronted by 1A after they’ve graduated and become proper heroes. Including Bakugou, who is the guy who manages to figure out who he is under the ink. Cue angst and Bakugou finally getting some consequences for his shitty actions as a middle schooler! Yay!
Also there will be at least one or two glorious “oh shit” reveals about Izuku and the Ink Demon technically being the same person. They’re not going to happen for a while though.
Holy wall of text, Batman! Sorry about the length of this one, okay, but I’m a sucker for good Villain!Izuku stories – because quirk discrimination is NOT fine and Izuku getting to lash out at the world for it treating him so badly and getting away with it because he’s scary smart or strong now is like my favorite thing in all MHA fanfiction. Green bean deserves to beat up some people. (And so does Bendy, because its not his fault he came out misshapen! Sure, he’s not exactly Bendy here, but… who cares! Not me!)

*blargh*
Lately I’ve been purging all of my vld stuff out, which means a bit of archiving (not a lot because back when i was in the fandom i basically looked at what other people made and didn’t make much of my own) and changing usernames and profile pictures, just to completely wipe vld away. I got all the vld funkos for christmas last year or something, but by now I’ve put them away.
I almost feel bad about doing some of it, because I spent either time or money on voltron-related things (not clothes though, because I was fearing when I would inevitably lose interest and still feel like I had to wear something I didn’t like. Which was still a concern for me when I got a bunch of mha shirts, but I guess I didn’t care as much? Idk) but I don’t think that’s completely justified. I mean, people are allowed to lose interest in things. I’ll admit-- I’m still pretty mad about the way it ended, and I have just a bit to say about it, but at this point I just don’t think about it.
The more difficult thing to put away are the various posters I got relating to vld. They’re not very big, but some of them are framed. I intentionally framed the first one I got, because I liked it so much, but the next three I got, my mom kinda pressured me into framing them, even though they weren’t nearly as significant to me. Added with the fact that we move a lot, I thought it was extra hassle, but flash to present day, they’re framed. I mean, where can I put those? Probably in my closet, honestly.
This kind of thing makes me worry a little bit about how I’m going to react to fading out of interests in the future, as I inevitably will. What the ever-loving hecc will I do with all my mha stuff? It’s also not that much, just a few funkos (like 5), three shirts, not a lot. Or what about my spop stuff? I also don’t really have a lot of that stuff, just two very small posters and a few stickers, but usually when I move away from things, I don’t really want to be reminded of it. It’s not really because I feel like it’s cringey or anything, it’s more of “I was into that, but now I’m not”, and so when stuff from vld pops up, I feel awkward, like running into someone that you used to know. Except with vld it’s more like running into someone that I last screamed my head off at while basically having an emotional breakdown because they fucking killed Allura for no goddamned reason she could’ve stayed alive you pieces of garbage-- but I digress.
I think this is coming to mind because the last season of She-ra is scheduled for May 15, last I checked. And after spending the majority of yesterday and today re-watching the previous seasons, I’m actively thinking about all the crazy things that have happened, and how the mighty fuck this last season is gonna go. I’m not sure that I’m gonna leave spop the way I did vld, because I’ve been with spop since the beginning (which I still think is wild like that never happens I’m usually so late to things like that), and unlike vld, there are actually some ships within the community that I actually do ship, rather than just being complacent with what was being chucked at me. (i used to think i shipped klance but since then i have come to the conclusion that i never really shipped anyone in vld except maybe lotor and allura when lotor was a good guy. and that one was a solid maybe sometimes.)
I also watch Dragon Prince, which is pretty cool. With tdp, there is a canon ship: rayllum, but I’ll be honest that I’ve never really shipped that. To me, Rayla and Callum seem like two awkward bumblebees that bump into each other and just pretend it didn’t happen. I mean, I guess for the people that ship rayllum, it’s great, but I’m generally indifferent. I don’t have any ships for tdp, though, in case anyone was wondering.
Sometimes though I am hesitant to mention my ships, especially because people are notorious for spring-loading their ships onto others and bashing other ships, which to me just seems exhausting. Maybe it’s because being angry in general is just really tiring for me, I dunno.
Hearing about all the batshit things that people did in the name of ships in the vld fanbase astounded me in how ridiculous (and occasionally selfish) they were. I’ve never felt like a pairing between two fictional people would mean anywhere near the extent it seems to for some people, but I guess that’s just me actively making attempts to keep myself from romanticizing things about some characters that really probably shouldn’t be romanticized. For example, the ship between Hordak and Entrapta in spop:
Hordak is a big nasty meanie who has validation and anger issues, is the living definition of rage quitting, and generally seems to be a very toxic person to be around. The dude’s got issues. He doesn’t seem to be in any particular rush to address them, much less work on adjusting himself into being less of a toxic person.
Entrapta is much better than Hordak in a lot of obvious ways, such as not having anger issues or any of that. But, due to the fact that it seems like she wasn’t raised by people, or at the very least wasn’t around people for a while before Adora, Glimmer and Bow tried to recruit her into the rebellion, she has some people issues. I think she said at one point that she tried to hang out with the princesses before, but it was made clear that in a group of people who fit in by their inability to fit in, she didn’t fit in. She was too eccentric for them.
So she doesn’t really know how to socialize, and due to that whole thing where the rebellion accidentally left her, she has madddd trust issues with people. She just decides to stick with robots, because she knows how they work and why they do the things they do. She’s also kinda morally grey, at times. I feel kinda like her general neutrality is somewhere along the lines of Double Trouble as far as who’s side she’s on. She mainly stayed with the Horde because 1) more tech, 2) Catra convinced her and 3) lab partnersss babyyy
(I guess I have more to say about Entrapta than Hordak but whatever)
In general, I think it’s obvious that Hordak has more pressing issues to wrangle, but they both aren’t really great. And it might not be a great relationship. And while I’m seeing all these hilarious memes and fantastic art, I am always trying to keep in mind that hey-- Hordak’s still a big meanie stupid dumb buttface that needs to get his act together if he still wants to even share a lab with Entrapta. (Which as far as I’m concerned is kinda all she wants, which is perfectly fine with me. Go off and do science girly. I have zero qualms.)
But then y’know I re-watch s3 and s4 and I’m like “Unghh shit. I feel weird about shipping this”, but here I am. The main stuff that gets me is like that one scene after Entrapta basically gave Hordak his new fancy exoskeleton thing and he was all “uh welll hnngh hmm it’s uh very uhh structurally hrrmm sound um uh you’re uh umm very good at uhh this” and Imp screamed at him. That was great.
Complete sidenote-- what accent is Hordak supposed to have I’m honestly confused like sometimes he says stuff like “territory” like “terri-tree” which is like huh okay he’s busting out some British accent or something idk but other times he says things in an American accent but like poshly and it’s weird I’m having a hard time I just get so distracted by the weirdest things.
Like no one else has an accent. Is it because everyone else is from Etheria, meanwhile he isn’t? Probably. But still. I’m confused. Anyway.
Actually there isn’t really anything else. This thing’s long enough. Plus I unveiled some of my ships, which is basically like posting your social security number and your bank account information. Nasty stuff.
#nonsims#rant post#but it's like a calm rant#really more of a meandering rant#a meanderant#i will be genuinely surprised if anyone actually reads this#i didn't mean for it to be so long#but here we are#spop#tdp#vld#these acronyms are so convenient
