The brain rot is nearly a decade old!#I do recommend looking through the link on 'Dungeon Meshi' - that's the whole chronological tag of the art I've done so far.#Ryoko Kui is a huge art inspiration and I honestly feel like I got a *lot* better after drawing her characters.#Probably because I was looking at more references than I normally do but hey! Progress is progress!#Dungeon Meshi updates kept my deeply depressed ass alive in the darkest moments.#Now it's responsible for being something that got me noticed by the person who made Nico the catboy.#I think I might actually be a bit more known *for* the Dungeon Meshi art than the MDZS content at this point.#When season two comes out I *will* be back for Thistle Thursdays.

having the hc that minato is ace is incredibly funny sometimes when you think about how ryoji is oh so very bi because it's like. "ah. death stole my ability to be attracted to people," in the same way that ryoji stole minato's eye color and energy level. like wow, thanks ryoji, you just keep finding things to steal from minato!

#persona 3 spoilers #minato arisato #hc and au nonsense #lizzy speaks #happy international asexuality day to my fellow aces out there i hope you know that you are loved!!! 🎊🎉🥳#i like viewing minato with the lens of him being gay / ace. esp bc it stems from my own experiences so it's fun to look at-#him from that perspective even if that's not what was intended by atlus y'know?#and im sure others have other hcs from me that are informed by their own life experiences and i think that's great ^_^#something that i found interesting while playing FES was how. stilted? minato's animations felt when hugging the girls #you could definitely go with the perspective that it's a graphical limitation or they didn't have time to polish the animations #and that's def true!! but sometimes i see the hug @ yakushima beach + the other hugs and then i compare it to the sou/yo hug in p4 #and there's like... a noticeable difference to me with how intimate and close together the hugs are...#that said i do know that the animations for reload are updated and the hugs are much more natural (good on them tbh!)#the other thing is (pensive sigh). the way you couldn't reject any of the girls when doing their social links in FES #objectively speaking i'm glad that they did away with that and i like how the rejections were handled in reload. it feels naturally written #but also a part of me enjoyed looking at the “hey atlus what the FUCK” moment and thought of how to interpret it differently #specifically with the idea of minato having like.. little to no autonomy and kind of going along with the relationship #it kind of reminded me of myself tbh with like going along with the rship without considering what you want bc #it's what others want or expect out of you... LOL. i dont think atlus intended for someone to interpret it this way but #eh i think that's the fun part of hcs and looking at characters with certain lenses!#regardless of how you perceive minato i do think there's something to be said about him being the kind of guy who molds himself-#into someone that is needed. not wanted. but needed. important distinction here.#the one caveat my brain runs into when im like “minato is ace!” is when i remember thanatos exists and i go #“you know what these ideas can exist simultaneously” GKLHFHDFHD when in doubt schrodinger's headcanons #anyway that's all i've had this thought in my brain in awhile and haven't sat down to share it properly until now 👍#have an excellent weekend everyone !!! lizzy loves you all lets all nurture our inner yippee!!! 🥺💙

⏮️Previous || (📚Previous Stories) || Beginning ▶️

(The Werewolf jabs a clawed finger at John. His anger is barely contained in his voice.) "Do you get it now? Do you get what's happening? You're dying each time they inject us. The longer this goes on, you'll get weaker. You'll die and won't come back."

(John narrows his eyes.)

The Werewolf: "This isn't the first time they've done this to us. We... we still haven't healed from the last time."

(As sudden as the anger came, it was gone.) "Whether you realize it or not, they're... they're not helping you. All this time, all these years... they've been torturing us. Torturing me. You. Right now they're killing us."

(There's no reason to believe that this is all a trick. He would've done something by now. John softens.) "Then what do we do? What can we do?"

The Werewolf: "I told you before; I have to take over. I... I know how to deal with the pain of this; you don't. I know what to do."

"I'm putting an end to this. Once and for all."

(John gasps.) "You're going to kill them."

The Werewolf: "Their deaths mean our freedom--my freedom--"

(John grabs The Werewolf by his shoulders.) "No; there has to be another way!"

The Werewolf: "Let go of me!"

"There is no other way! If I don't kill them--"

(John sways and stumbles forward, startling the The Werewolf. He catches his limp body in his arms.)

(Shit.)

(John regains consciousness with a shuddering gasp. He tries to move but his body is numb and heavy; he barely registers that The Werewolf is propping him up or even speaking to him.)

(This is bad. They're running out of time.)

(John grasps at The Werewolf out of a rising fear.) "You said... you were tortured; to stop it, I have to..."

"I... I can't believe this. This is a nightmare. Right? I-it has to be. How come I can't wake up?"

(Who's to say his plan would even work? It has to.)

John: "How... how many?"

The Werewolf: "It doesn't matter. As many as I see fit."

"It hurts..."

The Werewolf: "I know."

(You have no idea.)

John: "I'm sorry. I'm... I'm tired. I'm cold. I don't want to die. What if I don't come back?"

The Werewolf: "You will."

John: "Wh-what if you die?"

The Werewolf: "I won't. I'll ask you this. Do you trust me? Will you trust me? Just this once? I know this not ideal. At all. I wish... no. I don't. We will deal with the consequences later, but right now, our survival comes down to me.

"I know this is so much to ask for in such little time; I'll explain everything after I'm done."

(He takes a breath.) "Please."

(He feels John pat his shoulder. The Werewolf closes his eyes and returns the gesture, allowing John to lean into him further.)

John: (quietly) "Okay."

"Do it."

I. I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without posting about my IROMO au. Jesus Christ

TL,DR- this au is also called OPPORI because it’s an au where, shocker, the chatacters’ personalities (and other details) are the inverse of what they are in canon. It is my pride and joy and I’ve been developing it since like late 2021

It’s probably my favourite au to experiment with because a. There’s so many things I can explore and make for it (I have SO many ideas in my head it’s not funny) and b. It’s very challenging in a way? Like. It’s kind of the ultimate test to see how well I really know these characters and also how I write in general. Can I know this cast well enough to recognise and twist every detail about them and still make them good/likeable characters?
