one of my favourite things in the world is when an album has a recurring motif of some kind, or when they directly call back to a song later on in the album. like. beating my fists against the pavement, weeping over it when albums do this. it's even better when the call back is to a previous album. wailing.

hey if you wanna can you recommend some of sleep tokens heavier songs? i know like two songs by them but im feeling encouraged by your enthusiasm. no pressure though :)
OH FOR SUUURE YES I CAN
SO like. their two absolute heaviest songs are Gods and Vore, but Vore is Definitely heavier than Gods imo!! gods has more of a numetal sound almost?? with how vessel delivers his vocals, the first time i listened it gave me a lot of like. nine inch nails/korn vibes immediately. but vore has more classic false chord/fry scream vocals in the verses with his cleans in the chorus!! plus suuuper chunky guitar like
Sundowning then isnt really super heavy? Higher and The Offering have REAAALLY good heavy sections at the end, but its overall a much more chill album
This Place Will Become Your Tomb is also more mellow but id say at least in instrumental Alkaline is Decently heavy but vessels vocals are clean throughout, BUT. in the instrumental outro he snarls and growls a lot under the music which is fun. and High Water has a bit of a screamy outro as well with good heavy instrumentals!! the same goes for Hypnosis!!
Take Me Back To Eden is where they REALLY started leaning into more metal, Chokehold has super djent-y guitar all throughout, The Summoning has this really good breakdown in the middle and some good screams, and The Apparition's last verse and chorus switch to heavier instrumentals !!
they havent really got any songs that are FULLY super heavy cus yknow theyre alt metal and also Do whatever they want, so a lot of the sound is meshed together w other genres in their songs!! id recommend listening through their stuff after you give these a listen to see if you find anything else you like cus i definitely glossed over some songs that lean more gentle for their majority but have some good breakdown-ish sections
