This hex will read from a focus in your offhand and display it in the world!

it also has features to edit the hex it displays

when displaying a hex, you can use sneak + telepathy to cycle your selected tool

you can also hold the telepathy key and look directly up/down to scroll the hex vertically

this hex uses Hexical to render the patterns in the world, and also for the keybind detection, and for the genie lamp (it casts every tick while activated)

- Tool 1: Swap Iotas

Click on 2 iotas to swap their locations

- Tool 2: Delete Iota

Click on an iota to delete it

- Tool 3: Copy Iota

Click on an iota to copy it, and click somewhere else to paste

(it will place the iota to the right of where you click)

(you can paste an iota on itself to dupe it)

- Tool 4: Insert Iotas

Click on an iota, and this will insert the unpacked contents of the focal ring you have equipped

(so the ring must contain a list)

ooh, i actually made that a while ago in hexcasting (wow that was like 6 months ago) https://streamable.com/uskx3b it's running >+>->->+[>++[-<+++>]<<]>. which writes the value 256 to a cell and prints it (the patterns spinning around me in that video are bc it's from 1.20 hex, which renders patterns around anyone who casts, they're normally not visible in firstperson though) yesterday i made (most of) a 6502 emulator in hex too it has a feature where you can attach a hex to be ran when you read/write to a page of memory, which you could use to interface with devices like you could register a hex that gets ran when page 2 is written to, and then updates a screen of blocks

or you could have a hex trigger when a page is read from, so like you could make page 3 have all your player data on it, where reading from different bytes would grab different values both the reading and writing functions let you intercept the actual value before it's saved to memory / given to the cpu after the cpu, i was planning on either making an assembler, so i could write into a book and quill and have it turn that to machine code and upload it to the cpu memory, or adding extra instructions in the unused space to do things like read a page of memory as pattern data and execute it as a hex

The concept of "love languages" as a totalising picture of relationship dynamics may be pseudoscientific bullshit, but I have to credit the idea's proponents for enabling all those jokes of the format "my love language is [something objectively unhinged]". Top form there.

Name's Hex. I'm a former crimelord of the Kanto region who happened to save the world once or twice. Due to personal drama, Team Rocket's former boss retired, leaving me to clean up his mess and take the fall for decades of organized crime. Now, I'm on parole, and have even been able to reclaim my title as Viridian Gym's leader. The Rockets still exist, but we're more of a rehabilitation community now. Application forms are available at the back of the gym - and, yes, you do have to fight your way through.

Hiya, mun here! Call me Eli - I use he/they pronouns, and my main is @ivory-obsidian. This is my first time diving into tumblr RP!

Hex is my protag oc from the Rocket Red romhack. He uses he/they pronouns, is currently in his 40s, and he 'completed the game' 10-20 years ago. A few years ago, he was sent to Hisui to "amend an error", and is now settled back down at home after learning the world is much larger than he initially thought.

Hex's team consists of Queenie the Rattata (she/her), Echo the Kabutops (they/them), King the Nidoking (he/him), Nikola the Crobat (she/they), Akyu the Persian (she/they) and Pascal the Gengar (he/it)

I don't have any immediate plans/plots for this blog, I just want to treat it as a slice of life for now. Feel free to chat with Hex!

Grappling hook wisp!

when you cast this hex, it summons the grappling wisp

the wisp follows you as you walk around

if you cast the hex again, it'll launch the wisp out to the block you're looking at

when the wisp hits a block, it'll stop moving and pull you towards it

if you cast it while the wisp is being launched or attached to a block, it'll go back to following you
