Byzantine Armenia, my love.⁣
Making a major component of the Byzantine army, Armenians played a very important role in the Eastern Roman Empire. They were found in all areas of Roman life, from military leaders to scholars to traders to politicians, with several even becoming emperor (though having to become Roman to do so).⁣ Sargis himself was often a mercenary for Byzantium/Theodora, playing the role of her bodyguard at points. They often worked together and became quite close, with palace gossip often speculating how far the relationship truly went between their sacred personification and her knight “Sergios.”⁣
However, this isn’t to say things were perfect between them. Political and religious differences often put them at odds with each other, and Theodora was not always the kindest to those who were non-Roman (Armenians were about the bare minimum for being a “civilized people” in Byzantium).⁣ Despite the power Armenians had cultivated within the military over centuries, they were eventually replaced and left as a divided people. This division would come back to bite Theodora, as it turns out that effectively nuking your main guard isn’t a great idea. The Eastern Roman Empire would be invaded by the Turks, and the Armenian borderlands were powerless to stop it. In the end, a weakened Sargis would survive the fall and bitterly celebrate her decline.

this is probably me being biased but i really want to see more greece content where he interacts with other balkan nations or middle eastern nations beside cyprus and turkey
imagine greece third wheeling bulgaria and romania
or him purposely annoying bulgaria (viceversa applies)
or him and egypt bonding over gossiping the neighbors
or him and armenia having a brother and sister relationship :D

any tips on designing a hetalia oc? i love your designs 🤍🤍
Tumblr media
hallo anon :3 i think i have a straightforward design process. although i do take some design fundamentals from hima when i draw in his style i try to represent each country true to their culture and people. im ngl he’s notorious for drawing twinkalious men so i said ‘who give a fart’.
body types and facial features fall in line with avg people too (typically)
of course there are some things i feel are cute or add to the designs (aka adding freckles to armenia’s concept or honey brown hair for malta). if u wanna talk ocs feel free to dm!

October 29: Happy Birthday to the Hetalia character representing the European/Asian country that was once formerly the Ottoman Empire, located sandwiched between the Black and Mediterranean Seas and next to Greece, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, and Syria, and a recurring character in the series as the country of Turkey (Türkiye), human name Sadık Adnan.

Hi. I saw your art of Russian regions as Hetalia characters and they're really good! You should try and draw Hetalia personifications for the Central Asian nations, like Kazakh, Uzbek, Kyghriz, etc., and the Transcaucases (I think I spelt it wrong lol): Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
I thought about it... and even had some old sketches of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Maybe some day idk 🙃

Alive
Ey. Still alive. I was momentarily disrupted by the earthquakes. Ended up in Armenia for several weeks with no wifi. Back in Tbilisi now. Anyway, during my no wifi time, I took up a lot of writing again....but not Hetalia. I got back into my old stupid DBZ crap. I wasn’t going to link these two accounts at all because I was kinda embarrassed about it, and then I suddenly realized out of nowhere that I would fess up to someone about being in the DBZ fandom a million times over before I fessed up to being in the Hetalia fandom. (obvs no offense, my dudes) Therefore...if any of you by chance happen to be into that, here’s my other tumblr and AO3. I don’t know if I’ll get back into Hetalia, as after finishing up my last few big stories I kinda lost all interest again, alas. You know how it is. It comes and goes.

nobody asked for it, so here's an outline of Hetalia Vikverse
this is a massive wip btw LOL
Greece 🇬🇷 /Heracles Konstantinos Karpusi: Beyond the Aegean [basileousa, Flight of the Dove, Boiling Aegean, The Tower, We the Unwanted, He who Defies the Kings, The Flower of Evil, rebirth]
Heracles' life, starting from his rise as the Eastern Roman Empire, to his fall in 1453, to the War of Independence, the Balkan Wars, World War 2, the Military Junta and the recovery. Focused mainly on Heracles' relationships with his fellow Balkan nations, Armenia, Georgia, Egypt, Western Europe, and his extremely complicated relationship with Turkey.
Serbia 🇷🇸 /Miroslav Nikolić: Crown of the Eagle [Kingdom of the Wolf, Fallen Crown, Forest of Flags, Yell of the Hajduks, The Tower, Hostibus Ante Portas, The Parade of Death, Vukovi Umiru Sami]
Drawing mostly from the moment of the arrival of the Serbs in the Balkans, to Miroslav's rise as an independent Kingdom, his own struggles for independence, the Balkan Wars (to which he's the main POV character), World War 1, and the end of Yugoslavia. Focuses a lot of Miroslav's relationship with his brother Montenegro, a crucial character. Also a lot of importance placed in his relationship with other Balkan nations (especially Bulgaria, Romania and Greece), Hungary, Austria, Russia and France.
Bulgaria 🇧🇬 /Dimitar Simeonov Kamenov: The Rose-Hearted [Rust, Foretold Was He, The Lions in Rhodope, The Rose Merchant, Flowers of the Future, Ghosts, Wilted Kings, Grave by the Mountain]
From the birth of the Bulgarian nation, to the Second Bulgarian Empire, to the scars born by the Ottoman Empire and the Independence, to the Balkan Wars, the World Wars and the Soviet Union, Dimitar suffered a lot in his long history. Massive focus on Dimitar's relationship with Romania, whose story is closely intertwined to Dimitar's. Also focus on the historic and bloodied Greece-Bulgaria rivalry, the past tensions with Turkey, and the sibling relationship with North Macedonia. [UNDER CONSTRUCTION]
Poland 🇵🇱 /Stanislawa Jankowska: Dance of the Phoenix [Red-Ribboned Daughter, Pale Little Firebird, Rise of the Empress, Nie Płacz O Mnie, Crown for the Dead Queen, From the Ashes, The Phoenix and the World, A Final Resurrection]
[UNDER CONSTRUCTION] The many historic rises and falls of Poland. Special focus on the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, relationships with Hungary and Ukraine, Winged Hussars, the historic Resistance in WW2 (being one of, if not the largest in Europe), the tough Soviet times.
Finland 🇫🇮 /Timo Väinämöinen: Song of the Rivers [The Boy on the River, Lords of the Seas, The Name of the Crown, So Cold, Bear Song, 47 Days, The Mercenary, Endless]
[UNDER CONSTRUCTION] Timo, born as Poika (or at least, what he named himself initially), and his life in the North. Special focus on his relationship with Sweden, Estonia and Russia, clashes of the Swedish Kingdom with Denmark, the clashes with Russia, the Finnish Civil War, the World Wars and modern times.
The Italian sisters 🇮🇹 / Catherine and Elvira Mancini: Sisters of the Sun [Where the Moon Won't Shine]
[UNDER HEAVY CONSTRUCTION LOL]
