okay so 1) This is my OC. Like, before anything else, whatever you think I should be doing with them is irrelevant, because Millie is mine, and I’ll talk about him however I want. Same goes for anyone’s OCs; you cannot police how people talk about their own creations if you want them to keep making things. Even if it’s uncomfortable for you because you don’t understand why they’re doing it a certain way.

1.5) addendum to the above: pronouns are not the be all end all of gender presentation. i understand that maybe it might set off some dysphoria for you, perhaps, to see a trans character referred to with the “wrong” pronouns from what you assume they should be, but like. the best advice i can offer is to let it go. quell that instinct before it convinces you to jump on someone who is just using the pronouns they are comfortable with for themself when you think they should be using something else. trust me, this instinctive reaction can be weaponized against other trans people very easily. learn how to recognize and shut it down so it can’t be. some trans men will use she/her (and not for the reasons i’m about to outline with millie btw, just cause they like it.) you gotta let it go.

2) anyway. millie. why do i use she/her for millie a lot. i mean, the most basic answer is that when i write trans characters, i don’t write about them with a set of Final Pronouns that overrides all the others. i tend to refer to them as they would refer to themself at that point in time, and Millie doesn’t figure out he’s trans or come out until later in his life. When I’m talking about earlier in it, I don’t use pronouns she wouldn’t. It’s a consistency thing and it’s a a personal preference for me when talking about trans characters and about my own history. My pre-transition self is also “she” because that’s what she used for herself, that’s what she knew, and because it doesn’t somehow invalidate my gender as it is to acknowledge how I perceived it once.

I like writing about trans characters pre-transition or with a complicated relationship to transitioning or their gender. it’s very cathartic for me to think about Millie as a trans man (though, honestly? arguable he’d ever use that terminology exactly. hell, he’d probably never call himself trans of his own volition, he’d just say he’s a man and not explain it.) who spent a very long, very important part of her life not aware of that fact. To be so, and to have no room to explore it, and for it to still be true even buried underneath the layers of denial/unawareness/distraction; that’s an important detail for me.

(just like how i enjoy thinking about how millie’s relationship to his gender & to the vulnerability of change would make him prefer not to physically transition if he’d have to let it happen slow. About millie’s neutral-to-positive feelings on his body as it is versus the way this revelation of who he is that seems so obvious to him and isn’t obvious to literally anyone else pisses him off! he’d have weird shit going on for him even if he wasn’t trying to fuck the devil and even if the devil wasn’t part of the impetus for realizing some of this lmao.)

Ocean-honestly, Idk?(ocean is the one I'm most unsure of atm) I mean. I really like the asexual headcanon, and could honestly see her being somewhere on the asexual spectrum! (I mean she also reminds me of myself when I was a kid a lot. Especially the fact that she seems to be repulsed by sexual stuff altough I'm not really like that anymore). Mischa-pretty obvious what I'm gonna say, but here it is: bisexual. It's like, not even a question of whether he is or not. He is. I think he sorta always knew but didn't want to think about it and really only came to the conclusion after he died. This may be me projecting, but like, some sort of genderqueer? I can see him identifying as a man because that's what he was born as, it's easy and simple, and he didn't think there were other options besides that(he knew trans ppl existed but didnt know much about them, like the fact that there are other genders besides man and woman. He'd later learn about other identities but didnt look very much into it). Anyway, he doesn't experience gender dysphoria but does experience gender euphoria when using other pronouns like they and it or presenting in a non masc way so that confuses him even more. Like, he does feel comfortable using he/him prns and presenting masc but there is a but. Eventually with the help of Noel and Talia(and the rest of the choir maybe) he figures out he is not cis. But he doesnt really know what he is. His gender is like a mess(totally not projecting) Uses he/they/it pronouns. (One day I may decide on my headcanon for his gender indentity, maybe, or just leave him as genderqueer but maybe greygender?)

anyway the TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) is mostly to help with things like bone health, anemia, etc. (though these are also impacted by some of his medications and autoimmune disease). It doesn't hurt that it helps a little with his mental and emotional health too.

idk how long it would take for him though. i wrote, vaguely, "2016 or 2017" but idk for sure lol — late 20s regardless, and then, who knows how long his hair actually would be. by early 2017 it's still only ass-length so being past his knees implies it's probably actually 2018 😅 i'm not too pressed cause it still gets the point across.

also looking at selfies of people pre- and post-hormone therapy is always kind of wild. fat redistribution really does a lot (even accounting for things like exercise). like, i keep being like. that's a big difference, did i draw kaine's before and after too different? should he still be a little more curvy than that even after T? but the photos are like. no, yeah, that's exactly how that works, actually.

As far as him having a beard pre-T, this is something I've thought about (debated keeping, even)—ultimately what actually happened was that I just drew that on a whim before having fleshed out some of the later stuff or some of his (numerous) health quirks, so I just hadn't thought that far ahead. My reasoning was: Kaine runs away. Kaine is homeless. Kaine does not have easy access to a bathroom/sink/razors/etc. Kaine grows a beard. But anyway, I did a quick google search on my phone (wow, the utmost in academic rigor) and it does seem (from firsthand accounts) that it's possible for some people w/ Klinefelter's to grow small amounts of facial hair especially if it's mild... Since Kaine obviously has only some extra X chromosomes, rather than all XXY, I think it's fair to say that his case is on the mild side and the most obvious sign for him is like, wide hips/fat distribution (at least to outside observers), though he is less hairy than his brothers technically. But I figured it's probably not too far out of left field to say that the combo of Warren's rapid growth serum in Kaine's adolescence + only partial XXY/still some self-synthesized T + Parker genetics means he probably has established beard hairs by the time he's 24 or whatever. It would just be sparse and patchy (which it already was), and probably not grow very long or very quickly, nor be very coarse or thick.

I mean personally I have half a dozen whiskers on my chin and I've never been on T in my life (granted, idk what my natural hormone levels are like lol) so, you know how it is.

After T I assume he would be able to grow quite the beard but in-universe, shaving soothes him, so I think he just keeps shaving for a while even after he starts growing his regular hair back out.

-The two have been married for 22 years.

-They only married because of a pregnancy scare, they don’t actually like each other (canon /j) 

-The two of them would sleep in separate beds if they could. They rarely argue because they don’t care about each other. They only stay together because of the kids.

-Who btw, think they should separate. 

-Liu and Natalie (Clockwork) were childhood friends. Jeff, Ben and Nina were also friends in elementary.

-Liu generally just fucks around and finds out. Out of the two he’s more mellow but he will just straight up murder people if they so much as look at Jeff wrong. He’s scary. 

-Jeff will fight the fucking moon if he could. Man’s weak as fuck though. He’s all bark and no bite.

a couple of hcs about owen's family bc im sick and need to write these down before the delirium fades and i completely forget all of this.

father's (b. 1895) side of the family is old money. very proudly welsh in the way of language and history, but they're politically aligned with the crown. all tories, except for a cousin that started voting plaid cymru in 1927 and was disowned. father has a strong desire for a well-rounded, educated, "manly gentleman" for a son, the same as what his father wanted. lineage is everything for the carvours. that's how it's always been.

mother (1904-1942) was jewish. her family immigrated to swansea when her parents were both children ('they met on the boat over, and it was love at first sight', mother would tell them). they integrated and became comfortably wealthy, though by what means mother never told. when she told her parents she wanted to marry a goy who wouldn't consider conversion, they fought, and even though they made up, the relationship stayed stunted.

A

A was born in the may of 1924 while the carvours were still living in london. mother and father had recently married, and mother was young and didn't have very much support outside of her in-laws, who resented her for reasons A will never understand.

he'd always been kind of a troublemaker, throwing things and screaming and colouring all over the nursery wall, but his father didn't bother trying to fix any of it because 'boys will be boys', and his mother used to try but gave up easily when he preferred his father to her because 'forcing someone to like you better never works'.

due to this, he never really learned how to cope with emotions in a healthy way and often "embarrassed" his parents with his public emotional outbursts. only then did his father care how he acted, but the sudden rule change didn't make sense. he picked up on that shame and internalised it deeply, becoming defensive whenever someone suggested another idea to him.

probably has some kind of undiagnosed thing, but nobody ever took him to be tested when he was young, by the time he was old enough to communicate that it was a problem he didn't like either, everyone had already written him off as manipulative and beyond saving.

so he stopped caring. if he did something wrong, he was a horrible little brat. if he tried to do what people asked, they said he was trying to get something out of them.

eventually, his parents (or at least his mother) improved somewhat, but at that point he wanted nothing to do with them and was grateful that he only had to see them on school holidays. their attempts were too little, too late.

resents owen for being the 'better son', but very protective of his other siblings.

found a healthy coping mechanism in lifting heavy things when he was tasked with digging anderson shelters for everyone and felt the weight of his frustration being thrown away behind him with the soil.

this became his go-to calming method, even if it meant father screamed at him.

after 1942, he didn't dig any more holes. it was too much to bear.

so he turned his escapism into perfectionism and channelled his athleticism into boxing. he dropped out of college, got a promoter, and spent every waking moment counting out money, considering the odds of each fight, and training.

it was overwhelming, but that's what he wanted it to be.

eventually got disowned for leftism crimes. (good for him)

born in november 1930 in aberystwyth. parents' marriage more established, but not strictly happy. owen picked up on clear ideological differences between his parents at a young age, but both were raising their children under their model of success.

an 'odd' child, but in a way that was less of an inconvenience to adults so was never reprimanded for it.

he didn't really understand why people liked some behaviours better than others, but knew that when he did the right things, people were nicer to him, and sometimes even gave him things, so he learned to play the game.

honestly, as an adult he finds it funny that A was always seen as manipulative when really out of anyone in the family it was himself. i mean, like, he knew that sucked for A, but he wasn't gonna say anything about it.

since he was the "smart one", he became the de facto eldest son, and was given a much more thorough education in languages, music, and science.

played the cello, first because father told him to, then because he liked it. he liked the way it could sway with him and how deep it sounded.

father liked how there were no frets forcing one in line, like a guitar, but one still had to follow the rules or it would sound bad.

when war broke out, owen was introduced to a family that had recently moved in. his father said that he should get to know the children, they were his age. they could be friends.

after dinner that evening, his father invited him to his office, a rare honour. a machine was already set up, and owen watched the wheels rotate as he answered question after question about the neighbours' children's lives.

where are they from? have you been able to see anything in that room no child is allowed into? what did that note slipped under the front door say? can you draw it? what have they overheard about the move? what did they say their parents' jobs were? what is... who did... where... thank you, owen, that's all. you may go to your room now, there's something there for you. think of it as a token of gratitude for your trouble.

this continued for a few months, all the way up until the family disappeared. owen thought it was odd that they hadn't brought their things.

either way, the conversations stopped after that, until the next time. and the next.

when he decided to join mi6's training program, he couldn't help but notice that his file was already several pages thick on his first day.

way back in 1942, he was the first to hear the siren. the sound made him feel sick for the rest of his life.

B

born in july 1934. with the 'heir and a spare' out of the way, the pressure on mother to produce another son was gone, and both parents welcomed a baby girl.

spoiled by her father with material goods, but she could sense that it was to set her up for something, and there was less emotion behind it than a plan, though for what she couldn't know.

had a knack for cheering people up, even father. she could sing, and dance around a room, and perform a smile to make it all better for a moment.

she loved her siblings. if father was treating A unfairly, she would mediate. if owen was cracking under the weight of his schoolwork, languages, music lessons, the now mandatory play sessions with the neighbours, readings, and shooting practice, she would sneak into his room and offer to help cover for him.

great tree-climber. sometimes would go up and wouldn't get down unless there was food waiting for her.

some days, mother would take her into a secret room off one of the corridors nobody went through, and in there were candlesticks, both straight and tree shaped, and a cup that looked older than even mother, and a cloth that mother taught her to put on her head with a song in a language she didn't understand. there was a little metal canister on the doorframe, and when she was very little mother would lift her up so she could touch it whenever she went in or out.

mother used to say, 'this is where we come from. remember that.' and 'this is precious, and secret, and only for us to know. we can't tell father.' and it was only when B was grown, and had her own husband, and her own children, that she understood.

loved painting. mostly her dreams, which she could remember as vividly as any other memory.

what happened that night in 1942 was only 4 hours after she blew her eight birthday candles out. every year hearing the birthday song would bring it back.

talking about mother hurt after that, so she didn't.

her paintings became more focused, more like the dreams she had in the few years after that night, even when her dreams moved on somewhat. the current dream paintings were private, only shared with her family and close friends.

the ones she shared were precipices, a candle being snatched by the darkness of a tunnel, mother telling her that she was sorry for leaving while sitting with B in a sunny field, on a train, in the secret room.

after her death, the moderate number of people in the art world who know her work will wonder who the woman in her work is.

some say a reflection of herself, some a recurring character living a full life, some later on suggest a lover. the truth was that B never fully moved on from what happened, even though her life did.

C

born during the war in january of 1941. both mother and he had almost died, and he was sick for a month following his birth.

has no memories of mother, but always thought that she looked very pretty in pictures.

C was only 18 months old when the siren went off. mother had lifted him out of his cot while the whole family and staff filed out of their rooms to the shelters. it had been dark, and mother was shaking so much, the way she always did when this happened, and she must have missed a step on the way down. she had twisted backwards to protect him the only way she could.

father never let him forget that it was his fault.

growing up, owen and B were the only people in the house who wanted to take care of him, and they tried their best.

but C was... different. more delicate. he seemed to get sick if someone across the house shut a door too loudly. he had no interest in climbing trees or playing the cello. he seemed almost like a rabbit, always looking around, scared that something was going to get him at any moment.

the only thing he seemed to like doing was reading. he learned at what might've been a remarkably young age, but must not have been, because father never said anything. owen told him later that they'd learned to read at the same age, and he was told that it was early, so C must also have been a quick learner.

owen helped with his learning as much as he could, but support from father was impossible and textbooks were so much more difficult than fiction. in fiction he could go wherever he wanted.

his favourites were a little princess, the naughtiest girl in the school, and trixie belden mysteries.

father tried to take them away, said they were too girly, but B always managed to sneak them back. she recommended more grown up mysteries, like poirot and father brown, for when he needed a 'boyish enough' story. but it was always the boarding school stories he liked best.

so he was excited to see what adventures would await him when he finally got to go himself.

it didn't go well.

(he'd one day find that most things never do go the way they are in stories.)

the school he went to was english, and the boys all made fun of his name and how his chin jutted out when he was nervous and the way he talked, as well as everything his father had.

he spelled his name differently when they said it made him look stupid for 'spelling it wrong'.

the teachers criticised his posture and his handwriting and how he undermined their authority, though he didn't mean to, really he didn't, it was an accident.

the teachers said that if it happened this many times it couldn't have been an accident.

when he turned 21, he changed his uni major (then dropped out altogether), changed his attitude, changed his clothes. became a writer/producer as part of a travelling theatre company. all for the sake of being free.

some would say he went too far in that.

- no issue being vulnerable, he trusts you but sometimes it can be hard

- he goes to you for a lot of his problems, even if you cannot help, just venting and you listening helps

A ship I have with said character: ever since i realized the possibility of Dustin/Dirk it has changed my life lol. like it was really always there and it's such an obvious set up but it went completely over my head like it did for most of us i guess, the way maxis seemingly intended is good too because Lilith/Dirk feels like a very exciting couple to play with if you see Dirk being attracted to girls/whatever gender you hc Lilith as. Sexuality Headcanon: i would say the definition that feels right to me is homosexual/biromantic, sometimes i think it could be one or the other but i always remember that it doesn't have to because sexuality is a wide spectrum and im very happy to represent someone who has different romantic and sexual attraction! his gayness is powerful and i also cherish the girl-liking side of him and i think it's beautiful. i don't know if he's allosexual yet but i feel like he's probably demiromantic i hadn't even realized that until just now! im excited

Gender Headcanon: im still wondering about this, i see him as a guy and currently as cis, i really like the idea of him being trans but given how i hc him and his family i feel like by the age of 16 he would be unlikely to freely express himself or maybe even discover himself at all? he's quite emotionally repressed and doesn't give himself time to process his feelings so he probably wouldn't even know what the feeling means if he had it. hmmm

A ship I have with said character: Dirk ofc. Dustin didn't know he was gay and likely had inner homophobia but after meeting Dirk he knew what was up and he embraced it (after they stopped hating each other first heh). he had a pretty wonderful relationship with Angela so i like these two a lot together but with Dirk it's just a whole another story. Angela is like a comfort place and with Dirk it's like a rollercoaster and Dustin is just addicted to the feeling. he will be the first one to make a move but it's gonna be in a bit of a stupid way of course because he's secretly really awkward so it'll take time for them to actually see what's up

A random headcanon: Dustin is a huge family boy and the only times he is genuinely expressing his feelings is when he is with his little siblings. Brandi and him have a weird relationship that is full of fights but in its core their relationship is not the worst, she's a loving mom just not very good at it. he probably has some obscure hobbies but i don't remember which rn. he likes sports (sadly). he's a very angsty teen and 100% listens to angsty teenage music in his room. he's gonna be such a great man in college when he matures and starts being honest with himself about things and this is the best glow up ever

SO HERE WE GO!

In response to my “Maid Marian Should Have Been a Lioness” post a lot of people have aggressively pointed out that I’m missing something super obvious:

“What if Maid Marian was ADOPTED!? That pokes holes in your theory!”

Which is absolutely adorable and a really cute idea but also HOMYGOSH IT’S SO HELLA UNLIKELY!

Here’s why...

1. This is 12th century England. The concept of adopting an heir was pretty taboo during this time, there’s like... TWO exceptions in known history.

BTW, this changes off and on depending on the region and time period so don’t go “BUT KDIN THIS PLACE DID IT” without checking dates and location. Rome was actually pretty chill and actively encouraged the adoption thing but that was WAY before the 12th century AND it was also ROME and not ENGLAND.

2. Notice how I said “adopting an heir”? Maid Marian is - gasp - a woman. Meaning she could only be married off and not used to properly continue the bloodline as a ruler. So adopting a girl would... not make sense for any political reasons.

Oh hey though, a trans Maid Marian would make sense here... but STILL the fact that there’s only two known cases of adopting an heir during this time period makes everything weird.

3. If there was a break in the line of direct succession, adoption is the last thing they’d do. They want “Royal Blood” - so they’d go to the King’s brothers and find a nephew and that’s more likely where thing would go.

This isn’t adoption. He is not the king’s son. He’s not the rightful heir. He’d be the heir presumptive, not the heir apparent. If - by chance - the King’s wife were to get pregnant and give birth to a boy THE DAY that the heir presumptive would be set to take the throne... the new born BABY would jump in front of the heir presumptive, in this case a male cousin, and the cousin would be put back into his rightful place and standing.

An heir presumptive, depending on time and place, could be a woman... but again super unlikely in this era and setting.

SO, overall... adopting a girl for any reason makes next to no sense, King Richard would have no benefit in doing so, even if Marian WAS of direct royal blood by relation... which she was.

...but that opens up the question... why in the world would King Richard bring Maid Marian into his court?

Easy.

She’s, if we’re looking at this logically, one of three things:

1. The most obvious could be that she was been brought in as a lady-in-waiting. A second to a queen or princess proper, a secretary/friend who would assist them. Not a SERVANT, mind you, just a friendly helper.

...but WAIT! THAT CANNOT BE! As Marian HERSELF has a lady-in-waiting, both in classic literature AND in Disney’s version (Lady Kluck btw).

So the most obvious answer is proven false... let’s continue then...

2. She’s one of the King Richard’s mistresses! ...yeah I can’t poke holes in this one, it fits every point possible and there’s nothing that can actively disprove this in any major way. Even if not directly stated it’s... too likely to be true.

But also, if we’re leaning on the idea of poking holes in the Disney version SPECIFICALLY... I’m not buying it. King Richard is “a good guy” in this version, he’s kinda ehhhhh in the actual folklore but that’s a rant for another time, so let’s just say “Disney Good Guy Richard” wouldn’t do this.

Alright but that was so solid and sound what could possibly be the- oh NO!

3. And here we are on the answer that I feel rings most true, and actually fits into proper folklore canon too... Prince John (the King’s brother) summoned her there to court her.

He’s incredibly attached to keeping Marian under lock and key, despises any time she is close to Robin, and throws tantrums constantly when these boundaries are broken.

You’re gonna say “BUT SHE WAS TO GIVE A KISS TO THE WINNER OF THE CONTEST” ... yeah, duh, because it was a trap to lure Robin in. Of course he’d say a kiss from Marian was the prize, that’d get Robin there FOR SURE!

(Fun fact, guess who actually won the archery contest in most versions of the lore? It was Maid Marian. She dressed up as Robin and won.)

So... yeaaaaah... looks like ol’ PJ had gone to his niece’s family (yes, again, they are related by blood and she is HIS NIECE) and made the demand that she return with him to Nottingham Castle with the intent of marriage.

And guess what? That fits with folklore and, unfortunately, with exactly the kind of BS that medieval royalty would get up to during that time period.

Super gross but also very much a part of history.

Now, you may say again, “Kdin this is a Disney movie made in 1973 and intended for children” and yeah you’re right, and Disney probably wouldn’t have blatantly stated this at all...

But this is also Disney, notable for removing the actual culture of what they’re adapting because if it’s not palatable to a Cis-Straight-White audience and they’d never make white cultures look BAD because that loses them MONEY and then Disney becomes AFRAID, and I like poking that bear with a stick as much as possible.

...ah heck, this was supposed to be a short rant and I went way overboard again.

Let’s end this properly then.

We know the story, by now, will see to the demise of the rotten Prince John.

His dreams of a bride so fair and kind were dashed when a page’s attire she did don.

So to conclude, an end I will make, in time, as I think it good.

Every Single Thing in Souls of War with Meaning

Because I'm insane and this is basically a love letter to everyone who wants to learn more about my lore

(Quick thank you to @git-it for being so invested in my lore to the point where it makes me motivated to work on this stuff. Thank you man, I don't know why you love it so much, but it means a lot 💗💗💗)

Btw this has a ton of spoilers for the books, but let's be honest here. This is free lore and if you wanna know about the Souls of War franchise, read this.

First the characters(Who mainly represent aspects of being a teenager)-

Baku- Represents mental illness and issues with mentality. They are shown to struggle with themself and deals with a lot of trauma.

Camazotz- Represents being optimistic and always seeing the good in life. Managing how to live life even though it is filled with bad, and still accepting those bads.

Mischief- Represents the refusal or fear of growing up and maturing. He is an adult in SoW:EoG but still acts like his normal child-like self with a sprinkle of teenager.

Muerto- Represents body issues, disability, or anything relating to hating or disliking your own body. He can be interpreted in many ways, but I intended him on being hating your body because of puberty. He feels as if he is no longer himself because he lost something that made him him, and is now someone else. But he is up for more interpretation, like hating your disability due to your new self or hating your body because you are trans. Interpret him how you will.

Talon- Represents imaginary friends in youth and growing up. He was created to be a friend to a lonely soul, like how kids make imaginary friends when they simply want friends. He is shown to always say what The Supreme God wants to hear, which is what we do with our imaginary friends since they are our creations and do what we want. However, he is told that he should leave to live with Baku. This is because as we grow up, we tend to want or just leave things behind as we grow.

The Supreme God- Represents...well, a lot. The Supreme God can be very versatile with interpretation. They can be seen as a being that is selfish and is forced to learn how to be human, they can be seen as a soul forced into a position they could never properly learn of, there's a lot. But here's my original pitch...a creator. The Supreme God represents someone who feels unappreciated after basically creating everything. They eventually try to gift someone who helped them, but doesn't understand why they refused their gift. Basically someone who wants to feel appreciated but is confused when people don't want their appreciation, if that makes sense. Maybe, idk.

Anyways, if you had different interpretations of the characters, let me know! I love hearing y'all's thoughts on my content!

Now, non-character things. Some of this might sound like trivia but most of it is important, so apologies if it all feels quick.

Souls of War-

Camazotz and most Aztec Gods speak Spanish on occasion. Now, why is this important? Well, the Aztecs and most ancient civilizations had their native tongue erased by the Europeans. Because of this, the Aztec Gods struggled to continue to preach and speak. They had to speak Spanish to still work with their worshippers. However they speak English for a majority of the book because of the obvious, but also to be comprehensive. They also say a lot of swear words in Spanish lol.

I made many cultural references in the first book. My favorite being La Catrina. La Catrina is a symbol in Mexican culture of being usually represented as a singer made of bones. She is very beautiful and drawn a lot with beautiful clothing and markings on her skull.

I'm pretty sure I made a 13 heavens reference in it. Anyways, The Thirteen Heavens is a set of heavens in Aztec mythology where the gods reside in a level type of structure. I kinda made more of a "For gods sake!" type of thing because y'know, it works.

Camazotz dies in the end. For a long of reasons, but mainly as a backstory that turned into a main story.

Souls of War: Eyes of Chaos-

The prologue starts with summarized backstory of Baku. That's pretty good. We get an idea of how sick someone can get of second chances.

Camazotz has a birb girlfriend, which you can exclusively learn from my Tumblr and Twitter.

We get more with Camazotz, which is good because we always need more with the og bat.

Also in this book we get perspective chapters, because I know we need to know how these two feel about each other.

Baku is a rather fickle character in this book, but there's good reason for it. Baku is so tired of just letting things happen, feeling like they can barely do anything to change anything. So, they change. Baku becomes rather malicious and cruel in this book. Baku finally shows their true colors, which is good because they finally get to start confronting their issues.

Baku eats some conchas. This is more just because I love conchas and I wanted to make a "Baku doesn't know what certain things are" joke. They make a comment on how they thought conchas were shells(conches 🐚).

So idk how relevant this is, but Baku first attacks Camazotz in the face first. Baku prefers to attack the face, mostly the eyes. Why? Because Baku believes that no one else can see the truth, so they are unworthy of their own eyes.

Baku also thinks a lot, a lot more than they speak at times. Souls of War Harbingers of Magic has the record of how much Baku has spoken.

So even though Camazotz and Baku do reconcile in the end, they still have a somewhat rocky relationship. They have a "I don't hate you, I wouldn't say love, but I'd die, kill, and spare for you" type of thing I guess.

Camazotz heavily idolizes Baku in a way. She thinks of them a lot, and usually does in casual and kind ways. I think it's nice.

Souls of War: Harbingers of Magic-

Ok we get Muerto's backstory right in the prologue. I need everyone to know...that Muerto basically hates himself. Look man, when you lose the most important thing to yourself, and feel forced to take on a new identity, and then forced to soon deal with trauma, I think you'd hate your life a little.

So Mischief gets a spotlight here a little, because he is a important character. In a way, he is a redeemer. His purpose is to help those who kinda had hardships in life.

Anyways the whole thing of them being Harbingers of Magic is glossed over rather quickly. But it's important because of the next book.

So Muerto actually manages to confront a hidden issue he had. In the book, he wanted to sacrifice himself to kill Soulix, the antagonist. However, Mischief did not want him to, hoping that Camazotz and Baku would kill Soulix. When Muerto accidentally hurts Mischief, instead of proceeding with his actions, he stops and acknowledges what he did. Because he did what he promised to never do. He wanted to stop problems, instead of confronting them. But in the end, he learned how to try and handle a problem.

Muerto also learns to accept how he looks. Sure, that might clash with his character, but it's for good reason. He realized that if his friends were willing to do so much for him, that he never wanted them to care about...why did he need to change? Why must he do something that they never take notice of? They didn't care that he didn't have wings, they loved him for who he was. He decided that he wasn't going to "fix" himself, but embrace who he is now.

Baku and Camazotz have a small argument over alcohol. This is mainly to show they still sorta just talk over anything, even if it is pure nonsense.

Souls of War: End of Godhood-

The title is extremely misleading but it works in the end.

So The Supreme God is the main antagonist, with Talon being their partner in crime. But Talon gets his redemption earlier than they do.

So Talon is a character...a character most like me. You'd expect me to say that about The Supreme God, but no. Talon is by far the most character. He learns how to be himself, how to live without orders, and how to see others as equals. But, before that, we can see someone who can act a type of normal. He acts the normal has always been trained to act. Of course, he can act normal, as he is capable of being friendly. But he is usually trained to obey orders until it is resting time. Anyways getting off track but he is a very interesting character.

We get to see some fun God interaction, until it ain't fun anymore. We learn that again, gods can be unreasonable stupid and do the bad things. Yes, I am very fond of the ideas of gods not being very godly.

Camazotz gets some bonding time with the boys, and Muerto is so intolerant of her at times. He only really accepts childishness from Mischief, not a god.

So Talon gets adopted into the family, and he has an extremely hard time trying to adjust. But he is very grateful to be invited to be somewhere to live. Plus he can still see The Supreme God, so win win.

So to answer a question, Talon was never designed to be a weapon. He was a companion, but due to The Supreme God's curiosity, they gave him power and trained him to be a certain way. Talon doesn't know what he wants, he doesn't even really know who he is either. He is more of a occasionally used shank.

In the beginning of SoW EoG, there's a lot of flower talk. The flowers have meaning actually, but I can't remember each one right now. What I can remember is that Marigolds, lilac, and hydrangeas are all mentioned. Look up their meanings and maybe you can piece it together on why.

The next dragon age game should be out in the next few years and netflix has a dragon age show coming out (I'm nervous about that tho,knowing Netflix and their habits)

Also: ELDERSCROLLS ONLINE while they dont have as many lgbtq+ elements as the Dragon age series,they are trying. Its been a few years since I did a through play through, but there are many gay men and women in the game,the daedra are sexless entities who chose their own pronouns ( he/him,She/her) and there is an intersex god,though he goes by He/him pronouns, and there's a MtF trans woman in the Summerset Expansion who you go to find for her sister,but her sister didn't know that 1.she was trans and 2.She had used magic to fully transition. And while at first her sister Deadnames her out of shock,once she realizes that she has A Sister and not a brother,they embrace and they sit at the beach to talk to one another because the Cis sister genuinely loves her Trasgender Sister and feels that its time she truly gets to know her.

Honestly I'm so happy that as tome progresses,fantasy games get more and more inclusive and openly so.

Also in dragon age inquisition there are 4 main possible lgbtq romances I'm aware of

Dorian-Gay wizard,his dad tried to use forbidden magic to force him to be strait,when he caught wind of what his dad planned,he left. You can help reconcile the two,and if you're character is male, you can romance him(ive romanced him as a male character cause one of my closeted friends wanted to do so but couldn't risk getting caught,so I romamced him and recorded it for him on my phone at the time,and let him use my phone whenever he wanted,things are much better for him now btw) if you dont romance him,he dates The Iron Bull.

-The Iron Bull: Man or woman he don't care,if your a consenting adult,he will fuck you. I love his pick up line. "Ive picked up on your hints and its obvious you want to...Ride the Bull"(Like YES! YES I DO!)

-Sera: Lesbian mischevious Elf. She has alot of internalized racism to her own people due to childhood trauma but I have a soft spot for her. Shes passionate and while she may see things in Black or White,when she loves someone,she loves deep. Also I love her Tit jokes.

Josephine:Lady Josephine is the eldest child and has many resposabilities. She has great diplomatic skill and empathy. She's a little dense and it takes Liliana (lovingly) threatening you with harm if you harm her for her to realize you like her romantically (you also just gotta plane tell her) you can be either gender. Also you get to duel for her hand in marriage.
