This morning was the sweetest ever for Anima. She was about to wake up as she felt how Nyx nuzzled his nose into her raven-black hair – his strong arms wrapped around her and his body pressed against hers. Ani was ready to admit it – she was happy; a lot. This whole man set her heart on fire – making her feeling good, beautiful and absolutely needed. Anima yawned happily as she slowly turned around on her back and could finally look at the beautiful man next to her. “What did I do to deserve a man like you?”, she said to herself and traced her index finger through his facial hair. As she also touched his nose Nyx murmured a little bit.

“Ani please … it’s too early”, Nyx said as she continued to tease him a bit – she was too amused by his reactions. She didn’t want to stop now.

“Early? The sun already rose and it’s 7.30a.m.”, Anima said and placed a soft kiss on his lips. He was so tired – maybe because of the last night.

“Mhm fine.”, Nyx said sleepily as he suddenly opened his eyes and sat up in his bed. “Damn I’m going to be late for the Glaive meeting!”, he cursed himself and looked at Anima next to him. Her curly hair was a mess, her green eyes still looking tired and her sweet lips formed a lovely smile. She was amazing – Nyx couldn’t describe what he was feeling for her in this moment.

“Just go. We will meet later?”, Anima said and Nyx’ mind snapped back to reality.

“Thank you, babe. You are the best.”, he said and kissed her at least 6 times on her lips before he rushed out of his bed, looked for his clothes to pick them up, hurried into the bath to take a quick shower, brushed his teeth and dressed himself. “See you later, babe”, he said before he made his way back to Anima, who was still sitting on his bed and kissed her a last time before he left. Nyx closed the door and Ani let out a sweet chuckle.

“Busy as always, huh?”, she said to herself before she stretched out and stood up. As she looked around she was searching for the lingerie she wore yesterday. Nyx loved it but he had a lot of fun undressing her too. Anima made her way into the bath to take a shower – unfortunately alone. She missed the leisure time with Nyx a lot. Her mind drifted away and she remembered last night – it had been awesome. Ani left the shower with a bright smile, dried herself, brushed her teeth, dressed up and made her way into the kitchen. As she looked into the fridge she just sighed deeply – it was almost empty.

“Okay. I guess this means I will have cereal for breakfast again. Nyx doesn’t eat his breakfast too, lately.”, she mumbled and ate some of Nyx’ cereals before she left his room and went into the citadel to continue her research. Anima studied a book about magic there – since she wanted to form a contract with Regis. She wanted to use all her strength and power for Lucis.

Some hours passed by and Anima was about to fall asleep in the library when her smartphone rung. As she took it out of her trousers pocket and looked at the screensaver she saw that Nyx called her. “Hey my hero. Are you fine?”, she asked nearly whispering as she accepted the call.

“We need to talk, Ani.”, he said – his voice sad with a deep sigh. Anima got extremely worried as he said those words. “Where are you, babe?”, Nyx added and she breathed in softly.

“I’m at the Citadel – in the library. What is wrong, Nyx?”, Anima asked and suddenly didn’t feel that good anymore.

“Okay. Stay there. I will be there in a few minutes”, he said and hung up. Ani didn’t lie to herself – she didn’t like how his voice had sounded in that moment. He sounded so sad and almost hurt. She closed the book in front of herself and put it back on the stack of books to her left side. Anima didn’t make any move as she saw how Nyx stood in the entrance of the library and motioned to her to come to him. She stood up and made her way towards him and as she looked at his face she noticed that he seemed to be very sad – the absolute contrast to this morning. There was silence between them until Nyx took her hands into his own.

“What’s wrong Nyx? Talk to me.”, she asked him finally and looked into his blue eyes. He didn’t look well at all at the moment. Sad, worried or even scared – Anima couldn’t tell.

“I have to leave tomorrow. We Glaive’s are send out to the far west of Lucis. We’re going to fight against the Nifs who are trying to invade the area.”, Nyx finally said and Ani’s expressions got worried.

“I will come with you. I know how to fight them and you could need my magic”, she said and held his hands tightly.

“No Ani. It’s too dangerous for you. They know how to suppress your magic and they already want to catch you - or did you forget what happened last time they did?”, he asked worried and looked into Anima’s eyes. He suddenly felt so bad – she looked so sad and he was the one who caused this feeling of her. Nyx had been in battles before but this time was different; Anima had fallen in love with him – he was in a relationship now. This changed everything, for both.

“You’re right. I’m sorry. But… please don’t die okay?”, she asked him worriedly. Her voice cracked a bit as she did so and she just moved forward to hug him. She leaned her head onto his chest and as she felt Nyx’ arms around her she just held him closer. This was absolutely terrible for both – but especially for Anima. She really loved this man and she was afraid to lose him. Ani knew that he was strong but still – she was worried. Her chest got heavy; just like her heart. Love made her vulnerable – she didn’t like that.

“I’m the hero. I will come back to you. Don’t worry, okay babe?”, he said with a soft voice – cupping her chin with his right and making her look at him. Nyx softy kissed her nose – causing Anima to smile a bit. “Okay?”, he asked her again and kissed her – soft and lovely.

“Okay my ‘hero’. But be careful, okay?”, she asked him back as she smiled a bit sadly. She knew his answer as Nyx pulled her closer to himself and initiated a long and passionate kiss. Anima wrapped her arms around his shoulders and enjoyed this moment. As he pulled back he smiled down at his sweet girlfriend. His smile made Anima feel better.

“I’m always careful, babe. I will come back for you – you can’t get rid of me anymore now”, Nyx said with a giggle and kissed Anima’s temple. “Tonight I’m going to eat with Libertus, Crowe and some other Glaives – this is a little tradition of us. Do you want to join us?”, he asked her with a smile. Anima wasn’t sure about the invitation. She had been able to make friends with Crowe but Libertus – no they didn’t really like each other. Libertus always implied that Anima would be a witch – who cast a spell on Nyx or even cursed him to be together with her or something. Ani didn’t even understand his problems – maybe he just wanted to protect his best friend but this was ridiculous. Every time they had met it ended up that she and Libertus got angry at each other and that one of them left the party. She also told him that he would be the next on her list who would get cursed if he continued to be such an idiot.

“No thank you. I don’t want to see Libertus – else I’m going to kill him”, she said and freed herself from Nyx’ hug. He looked surprised at her as his expression turned into a sad one. He knew that both didn’t like each other but he wanted to preserve their tradition and he would have liked to spend the night with his beloved girlfriend.

“Anima. Please…”, Nyx almost begged her and reached out to hold her hands. As Anima looked away from him; his heart arched.

“I will be there tomorrow to say ‘goodbye’, okay?”, she just said and turned around to go back to her books. She really had enough of Libertus – especially of his accusations; even if she knew that her decision wasn’t right to miss the dinner tonight. He treated her like a monster and Anima hated to hear such things. She was a normal human after all; just with a talent for magic. She sat down to study her books again and as she took a small glimpse at the door of the library; she saw that Nyx was gone. Her heart arched as she remembered his expression when she had pushed him away from her. Everything had been so great this morning and now?

Anima spent some hours in the library until the sun started to set. She stood up, placed the books back and made her way back to home. As she walked to Cor’s house she looked at her smartphone – she had missed 4 messages and all of them were from Nyx. They were all about that he was sorry and really wanted her to join them - Libertus or not. 1 message was from Cor. “I won’t be home tonight. Sorry, Ani”, the Marshal had written and Anima sighed. She turned off the sound and put her phone away as she finally was in her room. It was a small and tidy room in Cor’s house; not girly or something but plain and it barely contained any personal stuff of hers. She dressed in something comfortable, called a delivery service to order a big Pizza for herself and took her favorite blanket to cuddle herself up on the couch. As she turned the TV on; she wasn’t able to follow the content because all her thoughts were about Nyx. She felt terrible because of her actions lately and she looked at her phone as the display went bright – a message from Crowe?

Crowe sat with Nyx, Libertus, Pelna and some other Glaives in their favorite Restaurant – one of the only shops where one could eat Galahd food. She noticed that Ani were missing and decided to write her as she saw that Nyx didn’t seem to be in a party mood. Libertus made a lot of jokes about Anima – causing Crowe to punch him several times. Nyx did nothing – he just shot some glares at Libertus who got quiet immediately. Crowe didn’t get any response of Anima and looked at Nyx who ate some meat skewers.

“Come on Nyx. Get up and move your ass to her.”, Crowe said leaning her elbows on the table. Tradition or not – he shouldn’t be in such a mood for that. “What are you waiting for? I guess we all understand this – except Libertus but just ignore this idiot”, she added.

“Hey Crowe!”, Libertus complained and looked at his best friend. He saw how sad he seemed to be but he didn’t trust Anima and he wouldn’t do so easily.

“You will regret this Nyx. Now go.”, Crowe said and ignored Libertus completely. She smiled as she saw how Nyx looked at his best friend first and then to the other Glaives who were just nodding.

“Thanks guys.”, Nyx said as he started to smile, stood up, grabbed his jacket and made his way to Anima. Some of the other Glaives smiled as their hero left – even if Libertus still complained about that. Nyx thought that she would be at home and ran to her place. As he reached Cor’s house he saw a Pizza Delivery guy who walked up the stairs to the front door. Typical Anima – she loved pizza.

“I’ll take that and pay it of course.”, Nyx said and the delivery guy looked skeptical at first. After he explained that his girlfriend ordered that he accepted the request of the other man, gave him the pizza and took the money. “That’s an interesting roleplay, too”, Nyx thought as he rang the doorbell. A few seconds later; Anima opened the door and was more than surprised that her boyfriend stood in front of her.

“Nyx? Do you have a secret second job now?”, she asked and moved to the side to let him in.

“Haha, no. I’m here to spend the evening with you.”, he said smiling, walked into the house and gave her the pizza.

“Really? What about your tradition- mh”, Anima started but wasn’t able to finish her sentence since Nyx closed her lips with a loving kiss. As their lips parted she looked at him. His loving smile was back – just like his loving eyes. Anima smiled, said nothing and went back to the couch with him. After she enjoyed her dinner she cuddled up to Nyx. Anima started to kiss him and he leaned forward to pin her under himself, kissing and caressing his beautiful girlfriend. They really enjoyed their night before he had to leave. Sensual kisses and a sinful night caused less sleep for both. The next morning came too fast and Nyx and Anima were not happy about the morning. She was cuddled up next to him and both were staring at each other. Lovely touches and kisses and simply enjoying the closeness and scent of each other. But both knew that it was about time so they got up, took a shower together and ate some breakfast. When they were ready and left the house, they made their way to the Kingslgaive HQ.

“Be careful, okay?”, Anima begged Nyx as she caressed his cheeks with her hands and kissed him lovely on his sweet lips. Some Glaives whistled - while Libertus let out a disgusted noise. Drautos was there, too and watched the young couple. He even felt a bit sad for them – but the war was more important at the moment.

“Don’t worry, babe. I’m your hero. I will definitely come back.”, Nyx said and kissed her a last few times before he finally got into the truck with the others. “I love you babe”, he said before he closed the door.

“I love you too, my hero.”, Anima said smiling and watched how Nyx and the other Glaives left Insomnia. She really hoped that her beloved boyfriend would be back soon.
