Another Konbini_Kitty fic! New Outfit is pre-relationship fic with Caelus feeling bad about not having more outfits, and after finding out Aventurine was texting him; he decides to ask Aventurine where he can get some new outfits for himself! TLDR: Caelus gets spoiled by Aventurine

Code Blue by Monohid is about Caelus inviting Aven out to drinks so he can comfort him; in the descriptions own words “after the entire Penacony mess, Aventurine sends Caelus a whole lot of very vulnerable and surprisingly honest messages. Caelus, feeling that Aventurine might need a nice relaxing evening, invites him for drinks” It is based off of Aventurine’s text messages! Sadly the second chapter of it is not out yet.

A Dragon’s Mark by Zaphyrus is a DanCae soulmates au! It is set during Herta Space Station, Belobog, and the Xianzhou. It is relatively fluffy but more slowburn than anything.

Secret Admier by Pharaohbean is a DanCae fic with Stelle as the TB; Stelle is in a relationship with March but that is very much a side ship. In this fic Caelus is an Emanator of Destruction and hiding it as long as possible from everyone. When Dan Heng and Caelus met it was before Dan Heng joined the AE. The fic IMO is a 10/10 but everyone has their own tastes.

Home In Your Arms by SaltedPossums is a hurt comfort fic going a bit over the fight with Cocolia, and mostly focuses on the aftermath with the fight against Cirrus. I can not express this enough with this fic but MIND THE TAGS ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THE FIC GOES OVER THE TOPIC OF DEATH

Ravager Restrained, Doubt Unchained by Riverpuppy is a fic that takes place as the aftermath of 1.2. It has Caelus going Nonverbal to be able to process everything that has happened on the Xianzhou up to that update. The fic is a hurt/comfort!

I saw that one of your anons headcanoned that child!reader bite the AE crew when they are distracted. How do you think other characters would react to be biten?

Ratio and Gepard would both scold them but in a very different ways. Ratio would read a whole lecture about why you shouldn't bite people because it's rude and unhygienic, with pictures and all 💀 Gepard would be more soft, patting their head in the prosses.

Herta would look at them like this 🤨 and remind that her body is a puppet and she doesn't feel the bite. But would warn them not to damage the puppet.

Jing Yuan, Sampo and Aven would laugh it off and tease them a bit, pinching their cheeks. Aven is extra teasing if they bite his glove. Joking about how expensive his gloves are and how reader now owes him. His preferable form of repayment is quality time tho, so it's all good.

Trailblaze would bite them back and March would loudly scold them both.

Blade and Jingliu woul just. Stare. Neither try to be threatening but they just look scary 😭

Amphoreus TB 3.0 Impression

To put it simple, it's introduction of new world for whole stories and of course lore abudant. I think it took almost seven hours for me, include many main story puzzles which I think it doesn't neccessary needed there.

Overall story so far is satisfying without any rush and leave some questionable things for next version. Story feels like main story + world quest combined and Genshin players should know that most Genshin world quest stories are awesome to best.

Noteable Scene :

One of screw loose TB but not at right moment ! To think writer would insert kiss jokes right after train crashes feels weird to me somehow (I wanna see too but not in this situations lol).

Of course there are many unneeded joke inserted everywhere even PhainonMydei moments just doesn't feels right remembering Amphoreus (and AE) current situations.

Additionally I don't remember TB Danheng worried on AE except the last scene (Oh please I still remember Danheng keep messaging AE like crazy at middle Luofu TB quest before...)

I remember FGO had nearly live death similar moment on LB7 (good enough NA version just release lately or I gonna forget the details lol) and they wouldn't dare to jokes like that so those scene is big minus point from me and truth enough at the end of stories Welt explain their train are fine which making the tension goes off

I somehow didn't suprise even in godhood place, internal strife between humans still happens. Well, it still suprising Aglaea took initiative taking care on it.

Remembering Penacony story, I'm sure the main problem / side story TB quest will feature those elder.

The one I really suprise is the fact that Amphoreus currency and language are same as HSR world uses. I could only think their Aeons (Erudition / Remberance / other one) took it and spread them as national terms.

To think RMC would unlock with Stellaron Hunter memories and the timing could not be more perfect with I ALREADY MISS KAFKA TOO !!!

Eventhough feature in banner, her involvement still small but I'm sure she will get drag by AE at next version.

Nanoka situations, seems she gonna into frozen state again. So AE current situations are TB Danheng at Amphoreus, Himeko Nanoka at express and Welt Sunday convincing Herta help them.

My conclusion : Good start, at least TB quest onward feels promising. Storyflow convince me to search Amphoreus lore from books but most TB jokes are too dry in the current gloomy world.

For future version, I think current character still have big parts + other heroes. Most likely too Phainon have bigger screentime than now as it's clearly Amphoreus is all about him (let's just hope his playable won't take too long like Sunday 🤣).

This version couldn't make me love Phainon more than before ! While on other side, I still feels nothing on Castorice Mydei...

Don't get me wrong, 90% I'm sure Castorice is just waifu bait later (I'm still hurt with Firefly case believe me) while Mydei... I'm sorry I know Gilgamesh first or you would become my first Amphoreus husbando target 😭

Ok, could you give us the base details about Seren and her look? I cant seem to find them. Afterwards i could ask some follow up questions

Hey! You have no idea how much I appreciate this. I'll try not to get too verbose.

I'll start with her look. Her hair and eye color were a result of my playing around in a picrew while I was first conceptualizing her character. The lavender hair and the dark grey eyes made for a nice color combination, so it stuck. I added white starburst pupils to her eyes because I noticed every hoyo character has a unique eye pattern that helps them stand out. As for her hairstyle, I knew I wanted her to have short, poofy hair- the rattail was a nice bonus, though I dont remember what initially compelled me to add it.

The rest of her design is meant to be a cyberpunk/street samurai concept that i have been tussling with to this day. I've drawn and redrawn her several times and have a couple comms I got of her to see them in action, but I still feel the need to make changes. This character is dear to me, after all, and I want her to look perfect! I think I'm getting close though.

A brief summation of her backstory is that she was orphaned and homeless somewhere on punklorde, and was eventually found by a galaxy ranger who was a veteran with many hunts under her belt. She took seren in because at the time seren was practically a wild animal seeking scraps and shelter, and she took pity on her. Once seren was older and had leveled out a bit (but not by much), the woman, named annaig, offered seren a place with her in the rangers, and having witnessed much of annaig's work and character, agreed that that would be a suitable life for herself.

So the two traveled as a working pair, delivering justice and such, until the time came for them to confront dr primitive. It was a joint effort with many other rangers, and it ended in disaster. We still don't know the details, so I left this part pretty vague. Annaig gave her life so that seren could have her own, telling her to make her own choices from then on. Seren swore revenge, and escaped with the help of passing ships.

Eventually she ends up on the Luofu, where she meets with the AE, somewhere at the end of the Phantylia arc, and decides to join up with them. She needs to get stronger and learn more about her sworn enemy, and she respects these people. She's worked alongside them and they impressed her with their courage and resolution. Things she wants for herself.

She's been with them since then, maybe only as a temporary passenger, maybe not. I've had fun coming up with little stories about how she interacts with penacony, the luofu, hertas space station, and now amphoreus. She's a joy to write because she has a strong, albeit misguided sense of justice, a short fuse, and lots of pent up energy. I even had her cope with her trauma with 'chuuni' behavior, but I'm thinking of writing that out of her personality since rappas release.

which hsr pairings do you think have the strongest ace attorney-style prosecutor-defense attorney energy

Hmmmm, fascinating question.

Aventio/Ratiorine is pretty straightforward for me bc they definitely read as people who get enrichment from arguing with each other recreationally. Ratio lends himself to the prosecutor role with his abrasive way of challenging people's logic to encourage them to think critically and find the truth, while Aventurine's chaotically clever bullshitting is very Defense Attorney Coded (also he's Preservation while Ratio is Hunt so the path symbolism works well too).

I wouldn't say I have strong feelings about Bronseele but they do have those early-franchise Narumitsu vibes of childhood friends who were separated for years and have a vitriolic enemies-to-friends-to-a-secret-third-thing journey after reuniting. Cocolia isn't as heinous as Manfred, but she was a corrupt authority figure who adopted Bronya, groomed her as a successor, and raised her to look down on the place she came from, similar to Manfred molding Edgeworth into a cutthroat prosecutor as a fuck-you to Gregory. I don't know if I could see Seele as a lawyer but I think at the very least she'd be at the bench as informal co-counsel when Bronya inevitably gets accused of a crime she didn't commit.

Tbh I don't really have a lot of romantic ships for HSR, but in terms of other character dynamics that I think would the suit some of the classic Ace Attorney paradigms:

Yanqing and Yunli are two promising child prodigies who immediately clash over their mentors' differing legal philosophies. Both of them insist on carrying swords in the courtroom. They are both prepared to throw hands at any moment. No one is really sure if either of them are old enough to be here, but the swords are a big deterrent for anyone challenging them on it.

Astral Express Family: These guys are so Wright Anything Agency coded. Himeko and Welt serve as mentors to the core trio, each of whom have their own weird abilities (March's camera has some kind of supernatural memory function, the Trailblazer has access to the Simulated Universe matrix courtesy of Herta, and Dan Heng's main shtick is the data bank until the big reveal that he has some kind of Vidyadhara channeling ability).

The IPC is its own prestigious defense firm, with a lengthy pedigree and a penchant for taking high-profile cases with a lot of money behind them. Jade mentored both Aventurine and Topaz, who have taken her advice in very different directions. Rumor has it that Jade has never failed to get a client declared innocent, but that there is a heavy price to pay for accepting her services.

Boothill is a rogue prosecutor who just. does not respect the rule of law in any way, shape, or form. He (rightly) has no faith in the legal system to deliver justice, but I'm envisioning a Blackquill-esque scenario where he's in jail and mainly working with the prosecutor's office so he can continue investigating Oswaldo Schneider. Argenti is the overly enthusiastic detective assigned as his investigative partner, though Boothill also relies on Rappa as an informant outside of the police force. He challenges the defense to a pistol duel at least once per case.

Blade and Kafka would both make interesting prosecutors in the AA universe, especially with their history with various members of the AE crew. Blade is very Godot-coded in my mind; he's at the prosecutor's bench the first time Dan Heng successfully channels Imbibitor Lunae and it's a Whole Thing.

And some client/case ideas bc my brain immediately jumped to how I would interpret the different worlds/arcs as their own games in the franchise:

Sampo is our client in the tutorial case of the Belobog arc. He becomes a recurring character across multiple games, regardless of whether it makes sense for him to be there or not. The Larry Butz vibes are strong.

Guinaifen is a mid-game suspect in the Xianzhou arc, accused of killing a rival street performer. With help from Sushang and Huohuo, we manage to expose the true culprit as a vengeful heliobus.

Famous pop star Robin is accused of murder the week before her big Penacony performance. We clear her name by exposing Sparkle as an impostor, only for Robin herself to be found dead in her dressing room shortly thereafter.

Herta goes missing and Arlan is charged on flimsy circumstantial evidence due to his security clearance (and a dose of institutional elitism bc he's one of the few non-researchers on staff). Ratio prosecutes the case and initially seems like an egocentric asshole until it becomes clear that he is pushing us to uncover the truth in a way that will challenge people's faith in the academic elite. Peppy is called by the defense as a key witness.

I think Jing Yuan, Aven, Topaz, Robin, Bronya and Fu Xyan would send presents and messages but would not be able to attend since they're very busy (all feel horrible btw). All send very nice and thoughtful gifts but I feel like Aven would go overboard and buy so many toys for them, they won't be able to fit in their room.

Herta and Ruan Mei would not attend either but would send messages and Ruan Mei would even send a cake. Maybe a critter too. Screwllum would visit though!! Even if for a short while.

Stellaron Hunters, Jingliu and Luocha wouldn't be able to visit for obvious reasons, but SW would appear as a hologram. Firefly would use the fact that everyone know her as Sam to visit them in person tho. For a short while as well, due to her poor health. Would bring a cute bunny toy that reminded her of Pom Pom.

Ratio would show up for a short while and give them an encyclopedia 💀 remember the valentine event on twitter when his gift was a book like be fr there're other gifts as well

Gepard funnily took a day off just to see alnd congratulate them!! You know how it's implied that him and Sevral are lowkey competing for the position of Lynx's favourite sibling? Yeah, they would do that with reader as well. Sevral giving them a toy she created herself and Gepard awkwardly giving them flowers he grew. Lynx would give them a small camping kit

It's hard to reach Argenti so they didn't send him an invitation 😞 But he found out anyway because he's just like that. If it's possible, he'll show up to congratulate them and give them flowers. If not, he'll send a message and give them flowers next time they meet.

It's a lot more stable than it used to be and Honkai isn't really a threat to their world anymore. Joey is in custody of Tesla when he's gone and there's no crossfire between Schicksal and AE and they have enough forces to take on possible threats when he's gone

Anyways, ah I didn't know about that! This is a more level-headed reason then. My knowledge on HI3 is a bit spotty in some areas, so this is new insight that could explain why Welt decided it was reasonably okay to leave for hsr/stay for a while longer.

With this in mind, I think I agree that the reason Welt is relatively calm could be a combination of things on Earth having calmed down, and his curiosity. Plus, if he's certain his message has arrived, then they know he's safe.

I could see Einstein being okay with it, but yeah, I feel Tesla would be frustrated. She's grown up with Welt's self-sacrificing bs for so long, but it's clear she's still not really okay with it. And now, here he is in another world, probably getting himself into danger, and she can't really communicate with him or help him in any way (so far)

And Joey's also a child! I can see that he loves his dad a lot, and Void Archives basically told him "We made a deal. You'll never see your dad again". I know he was quite calm in the black void, but I can't help but wonder if he's come to terms with Welt being gone. But things could go well, as you said, Joey might understand that Welt will take his time.

Cause things are just weird in the world of hsr. The Astral Express travels between "worlds", but what are worlds in HI3 terms exactly? Are they planets? Cause they're all relatively small. Are they in the same universe but just really far apart so it requires complicated measures to travel between them? Like really far outer space? Or are they completely different universes and the express travels between bubble universes?

Also truee, I'm also a bit uncertain about the terms aldjald- I've had this discussion with like, 2 other people and they have vastly different definitions of what a world and universe are. I don't know how HI3 defines these terms, I originally chose to define HSR as its own universe, because it has vastly different combat mechanics/in-game explanations for gameplay compared to HI3.

Whoops, that went a bit off topic, but anyways, yes!! Welt is very interesting to think about hehe 👀 I see his nature can be frustrating to the people who care for him, but i think he's overall a very interesting character. I can't wait to see the game give him an arc!

It hit me hard when Welt echoed the sentiment Yukong had with Qingni, seeing as he's a father himself. From the tone of his voice, I can imagine him thinking about Joey the whole time.

But, I can't help but wonder if he feels sad that he hadn't gotten the chance to see Joey grow up. Welt believes that being a father means doing everything in your power to protect your family, even if it is at the cost of your own life. He lost his own father when he was a child, and I wonder if he feels guilty that he subjected his son to the same fate.

His own family doesn't know where he is or if he is still alive.

In my opinion, the best way to figure out if you'd like HI3rd is to read the "Second Key" Honkai manga which you can get to via this link.

Basically, it's about a character going through a sort of "trial" in which they're cast into a dream and relive some core memories of a different character. It won't make much sense at the start, but by the end of chapter 3 or 4 it should be pretty clear what's going on.

What makes this such a good manga is that it basically covers some of the most important story concepts in the entire game at a superficial and introductory level. It's perfect for someone who knows little to nothing about Honkai.

Honkai energy, sickness, & beasts; Herrschers; stigmata; Project Stigma; Divine Keys; MANTIS; Imaginary Tree. All these concepts are incredibly important, and this manga should present them all in a way that is relatively easy to understand while also being a good indication of what HI3rd's story is really like.

It's basically "Honkai in a nutshell".

The problem with playing HI3rd itself is that the game's quality is incredibly inconsistent.

Early story content is janky and poorly written, newer story content is decent but has some issues with pacing and/or writing style, and most of the best content is in the middle. This means you have to put in a lot of effort to get past the crappy starting point, and there's not really any way around that. This kinda applies to gameplay as well, but it's not too bad, I guess.

There's also not that many good resources for lore outside of lore videos and some reddit/tumblr posts. Genshin & HSR have incredibly thorough wikis, but the HI3rd wikis are only good for gameplay stuff (character equipment and gameplay descriptions), not really for lore.

Those things I mentioned earlier, the Herrschers and stigmata and stuff, these things don't get properly explained in the game. You have to read a lot of manga to get the idea, but the manga are also chaotic and poorly organized, with some manga being incredibly well-written (Second Eruption, Second Key, Alien Key) and others being highly questionable at times to the point that they're bordering on non-canonical (AE Invasion, Escape from Nagazora).

For an HSR analogy: imagine if the beginning of HSR wasn't Herta Space Station, but instead the game started in the middle of the Belobog story arc.

You play as the Trailblazer but your character already knows everyone and you're halfway through a story arc with lots of stuff going on. No intro to March 7th or Dan Heng or Welt or Himeko. No opening scene where you arrive at Belobog and learn about the planet and its Stellaron crisis. Nobody tells you what a Stellaron is, nobody told you about Paths or Emanators, and so on. Stuff just happens and people toss around words assuming you know everything that's going on.

And if you want that backstory, you have to go find the manga, but some of the manga were written 6 years ago and feature multiple non-canonical concepts and characters, plus they have different art styles and writing styles, and a significant portion of the manga chapters are out of order and haphazardly mixed together.

That's what starting HI3rd is like.

The game starts without any introduction to the Main Trio of protagonists (Kiana, Mei, Bronya), no intro to Honkai or Honkai Beasts or Herrschers, no intro to Schicksal or Anti-Entropy or St. Freya, etc. Stuff just starts happening and everyone knows each other and throws around funky concepts willy-nilly, and the game acts like you already know what's going on even though you probably don't.

So yeah, if you want to know if HI3rd is worth the effort to get into, I'd say read Second Key. If you like the characters, if the story concepts sound interesting, if the writing is appealing to you, if the aesthetics are nice, etc., then I'd say go for the game. Second Key is basically the introductory chapter to HI3rd that HI3rd never got.

If you do get into HI3rd that way, just make sure to keep in mind that the first 6 chapters are gonna be rough, chapters 7-9 are good but unpolished, and chapter 10 onwards is when you start to see quality writing, dialogue, stage design, and so on. The first open-world stories are also very meh (Sakura Samsara and Schicksal HQ), but the other two (APHO 1 & 2) are solid.

Also, regarding the UI and "reset" and stuff...

when I said earlier that this game has inconsistent quality? That issue is getting worse, not better.

The UI is getting updated but it's a very patchwork-y update, with different menus getting updates at different times. It's an awkward mix of new and old that's kinda jarring at times.

And as I understand it, instead of fixing Part 1 up and bringing it up to par with the rest of the Hoyoverse games, Mihoyo is kinda sweeping it under the rug by allowing players to skip ahead to Part 2 once they reach a certain player level. So I have very little faith that the early-game HI3rd experience is going to get the repairs and polish it needs to be accessible to the average player.

It wouldn't just be the Space Station, it probably be a lot of other organisations, not to mention that the influence of the Astral Express would probably be a lot stronger as well.

In the Simulated Universe Herta mentions that most of the information that she obtained regarding Lan had been from the Xianzhou Alliance but because the Alliance was personally blessed by Lan Herta ended up asking Ruan Mei to help her receive said information. In the entry Herta mentions that due to the personal blessing the Xianzhou Alliance had the same level of 'power' as the IPC because they (the Alliance) was again personally blessed by Lan.

It's already evident that Aeons are a Big Deal in HSR, with the more favour a faction has with their Aeon, the more power the faction would have. And it's not like the blessing would be dormant or anything, there would be some perks to the blessing, like Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord, which was given to Jing Yuan by Lan. Perhaps all those who worship Aeons would get some little perk in return for their faith, perhaps this is why Belobog was able to survive for so long, due to the will of Qlipoth, and the people.

Now take all that, and factor in how the Astral Express has an Aeon that drives it.

I'll probably be going on for a while

So the Astral Express is already well known across the Universe, considering that the Xianzhou Alliance and the IPC are aware of its come back in game, as seen in the Luofu story quest and the radio in the Parlor Car. Well let's take that infamy and times it by 10.

I'd expect that the Astral Express has been running for a long time now, it doesn't say how long it was down for nor how long it was running before it's accident, so I'm just put it at around a very long time. The calender in-game is frankly very confusing due to the variety of calenders that exist but we know that it is currently 2158 Amber Era, again from the Parlor Car radio, and each AE lasts 1 to 2 centuries in Trailblaze years, aka IRL years. So I'm just gonna say that the Astral Express has been running thousands of years, definitely long enough to amass a lot of influence with the known universe. At one point in the game I believe it was mentioned that Akivili and the Express was responsible for creating the first interstellar travel roads?? so it was probably the first 'alien' contact many planets had.

So basically, the Astral Express has A Lot of power and influence across the universe. To Akivili it wouldn't matter that much because I'd expect them to not really get social cues and information, they'll leave that to their Nameless, but I'd expect them to be aware of their position among the humans, sorta. Still, if the Astral Express stirs one hell of a frenzy, it's not really their problem, nor their crew's. Again, Aeons are a very big deal, so if the Astral Express stops at a place that deals in interstellar trades, people etc, it would be big.

But despite all that power, the Astral Express is still a train, with it's stops. Akivili, as The Trailblaze, would not use that power or influence, if they knew about it. Because at the end of the day, Akivili is an Aeon. Anything not related to their Path is irreverent to them. Even if their Path allows for more flexibility regarding their thoughts, I don't expect to care about their, and by extension the Astral Express, postiton in the universe as a whole.

They are the Astral Express's conductor after all, and their goal is to make the unknowable known.

What if Akilivi Never Died

The Trailblazer's journey starts out the same, with the improtu Dan Heng CPR and the ever joyous March 7th. They meet Arlan, meet Asta, kick Antimatter Ass with the faint memory of Kafka in the back of their mind and nothing changes.

What changes though, is after the Doomsday Beast arrives. Oh the Trailblazer jumps in front of March, Nanook's gaze still lands on them, stellaron still goes crazy and Welt calms them down with a tap of his cane.

But it's what happens after. They awaken, and there is a figure watching them. Their gaze is kind, yet there's something odd about them, something off. The figure's smile grows widerz noticing the Trailblazer's stare. "I see you're awake," Even their voice sounds off, shifting in various tones and pitches, yet sounding lilting and kind.

The laughter shakes the Trailblazer from their thoughts. The figure is laughing, amusement showing through their fluid voice. "You're hardly the first person with such a inquisitive and shocked reaction to myself," they tell them with a smile, " But it'll make sense if I tell you who I am,

For I am Akivili the Trailblaze, and you, are a very interesting person, Trailblazer".
