emoji asks for u:👑,🙈 (esp for dir) and i'd love to know 🌌 -- for as many of ur blorbos as you see fit!
emojis bb! |
Diric Vajon 👑 CROWN - what does your oc want to be remembered as? why? I think I answered this one in the last round doing this, BUT. If he's to be remembered, Dir would like it to be as a protector, someone that could be counted on when he was needed. He grew up believing that being a soldier, a fighter - someone able to stand up for himself and others - was how he was going to make it out of Blackthorn and make a difference in the world. He's not as sure now as he's been in the past whether that's how he'll be remembered - if he'll be remembered at all.
🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don’t want to show other people? It's peeked out a bit since he's come back from Tsenden, and it's a side he is trying to be more comfortable with letting out: being playful, not being wound up in his armor all the time. Diric's never felt comfortable letting down all his walls and allowing himself to have fun. He's going to make an attempt once we get out of the Shadowfell, though - day at the spa, do some frivolous shopping and maybe some new piercings, and get down some dancing if he finds a good place. Dir needs something to help his soul heal and stabilize his broken heart at the very least.
🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them? So when I fist started playing a ttrpg in uni, I was able to get my hands on a HeroLab license (that group was running a heavily modified Pathfinder 1e game, hence HL) and started working with a few different concepts. Around the same time as I was starting to read up on Drow (since I wanted to play one and my DM wanted to ensure I didn't accidentally make a Drizzt), I also discovered mind flayers! There's actually a sequence in the second Homeland Trilogy book where Drizzt is! Briefly captured and enthralled by mind flayers! And part of that stuck with me enough that when I was passing time doing concepts and inspired by art on Pinterest, I created a psionic dhampir ranger - a man that had been captured and enthralled by mind flayers and escaped, but was forever changed by the experience. I then shelved that concept and that character sheet has since been lost to time - sometimes I'd think about it again, though, and the thought came on strongly after Tac died and Tez was spiraling rapidly out of the party. Of course at the time 5e didn't have dhampir or psionics, but I could still have the mind flayers in the background - and I could play not a full Drow (at the time that PF1e Drow had gotten kinda shafted in terms of chardev so playing full Drow some years later had left a bad taste in my mouth, and something similar happened in an in-person game I'd been in while also playing a full Drow) but a partial Drow, who would be outside the dangerous society and more easily exit onto the surface. And that's how you get to Diric!
Rosette Gang 🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them? So for the Rosette kids, it began with Kassi and playing the first open beta of Diablo 4. The opening intrigued me, and Diablo being a dark fantasy universe the idea of playing a necromancer seemed like a cool, lore-infused place to start. Of course though the necromancer's body model was bony and starved-looking - but that just set my creative juices turning. Necros in Diablo are sort of a combo class of D&D wizard and warlock - sturdier than a sorcerer but still a solid magical cannon, if restricted in some ways compared to a magic-heavier class. Building from there I could reckon Kassi as someone that tried to be the full-wiz style of necromancer - but can't. So she needed a more warlock-esque arc - leaning again into Diablo and the character of Rathma, born of an angel and a demon and known as the First Necromancer. So of course with most things when I want to develop further, I turned to my bestie @tatooine92 and said 'hey what if some portal magic went wrong and this skinny little necromancer that actually has 15 STR landed in Thedas'. She followed it up with 'what if she landed in Kirkwall??' This is how we get to Dylen and Jerrik - originally two nobody Templars guarding the Kirkwall Chantry when the Veil gets popped open briefly and this maybe-demon person falls right out in from of the Grand Cleric. Jerrik was the Quiet Stoic Protector, while Dylen was the Curious-But-Wary-And-Witty Newbie (and yes they're husbands, we knew this immediately). Kassi immediately bonded to them, and when I started developing her original world Steph agreed that I could port Dylen and Jerrik in as well - which meant I had to figure out "Templars" without actually having Templars. Cue D&D again and the Eberron setting with dragonmarks - just altered and made rarer! That's how you get the most sunshiney-yet-goth necromancer who can bench press you while still grinning; an ex-con who suddenly has magic that lets him be EVEN SNEAKIER; and a very tired sword-and-board-plus-protection-magic man who really doesn't like necromancers for Deeply Personal Reasons \o/

Starfinder AU: Exiled Nobility, Starship Captain, Tactician
Aymeric de Borel: lv 20 Half-elf envoy, Lawful Good, Home planet: Absalom Station, Theme: Noble Scion, Abilities: Low-light vision, Keen Senses, Elven Blood, Adaptability. Key ability scores: CHA, DEX
STR 10 / DEX 13 / CON 10 / INT 11 / WIS 11 / CHA 18
Voice Amplifier: Increases volume of your voice. Adds a circumstance bonus to allies’ chance to hear you. Bespoke Echelon Fashion: Lightly armored clothing uses force fields and the highest-tech fibers to create any sort of outfit imaginable.  Antitoxin Membrane: Hosts a colony of nanobots that operate on the molecular level to counter certain toxins.
Freebooter Armor V: An armored jacket, heavy boots and gloves, numerous straps and hidden weapons make this a popular choice for novice explorers, due to the air of rakish experience it lends the wearer. Blue Star Plasma Caster: Superheated or electromagnetically charged gas becomes ionized plasma which deals both electricity and fire damage, tearing through organic flesh and metal alike. The hottest, deadliest plasma weapon is a blue star. Mk 2 Thermal Capacitor: Regulates heat, protecting you from extreme temperatures and granting both cold and fire resistance.
Envoy: Paving the way for negotiation through kind words--or the occasional dirty trick. You make your way in the universe with a charming smile and a quick wit, and you excel at getting others to do what you want. You are often the group’s strategist, using you quick wit and tactical acumen to push your friends to greater heights. You may also be skilled in diplomacy, serving as the face of a starship crew, talking your way into restricted systems, or gaining audiences with local politicians or warlords.
Envoy Improvisation: Superior Covering Fire. The target of your covering fire gains the circumstance bonus of your covering fire against all attacks made against them until the start of your next turn.
Expertise Talent: Universal Diplomat. Your diplomacy checks to change a creature’s attitude are not language-dependent. This allows you to use diplomacy to change the attitude of a creature with whom you do not share a common language.
Envoy Improvisation: Inspiring Oration. Signal all allies within 60 feet who have taken damage. They regain 50 Stamina Points. You can spend 1 Resolve Point to add your envoy level to the number of Stamina Points regained.
Envoy Improvisation: Get ‘Em. You and your allies gain a +1 morale bonus to attack rolls made against all enemies who are within 60 feet. The bonus persists even if the enemy moves beyond 60 feet or out of line of sight or hearing.
SF Aymeric is a half-elf as opposed to a full elf solely for the Charisma bonus; half-elf is a distinct race in Starfinder, not necessarily the direct offspring of a human and an elf. If we’re getting technical he’d be like seven-eighths elf and a little human waaaay back on his mom’s side.
Naegling is a giant fuck-off gun, not a sword, although it is still an heirloom from his foster father. Melee weapons don’t see a lot of use when everyone and their pet dog has a laser pistol, so a rifle is more practical.
Absalom Station is pretty much owned by AbadarCorp, a Lawful Neutral corporation that also functions as the church of Abadar. Aymeric got on the church’s bad side after uncovering several arms deals they’d made with the Azlanti Star Empire and was forced to flee to the outer reaches of the Pact Worlds.

herolab is a neat and easy way to make art of your RPG characters, assuming they’re not like. weird. if they’re pretty standard fighty or spellcasty types, it works, but as soon as you like. add a giant demon arm, or make them have shimmery temporal clones of themselves? it gets harder to make work.

Writeblr Life Week - Characters
Creating OCs is a hobby of mine. I always want to make a character to interact with a world or a character in a piece of media, a self-insert or a projection or something. But I’ve also started just fiddling around in HeroLab making DnD characters.
There’s one thing I always try to apply to the building process: Does this character fit into the world? Are they canon compliant? Are they somehow overpowered, overlikeable, or nonsensical?
If the character fits and they cannot be accused of being a Mary Sue/Gary Stu, then I will try to explore the person I’ve started to craft. By starting at the beginning.
What kind of childhood did they have?
I’m sure this goes back to my own navel-gazing on my own childhood, but I know for damn sure that nurture is a very important factor in how a person arrived at the place they are in the story. So I take a broad look at their childhood, asking how their parents were in raising them, how they went to school and interacted, anything that would have an impact on their personage.
I made a mutant for X-Men: Evo and I love to use her as an example. I was a child when I made her and when I wanted to use her again with the knowledge and skills I had gained, I improved on her. She went from a cool character that everybody liked and just sorta was added to the Evo gang somewhere in the background to a fully fleshed out adult with a whole story. She went from just a self-insert OC to being her own person. I can’t remember who she used to be when I made her when I was like 14, but I remember even when I was a kid making it so her mutation had a downside. She could memorize and mimic other people’s powers, but at the cost of her own voice. She lost her voice when her powers manifested at puberty, was taught ASL to communicate, but she could generate writing in the air by... pulling together molecules or something. Dust, I suppose. This grew into a story of her hiding her powers from everyone until she accidentally reveals them without thinking one day. Her parents drag their feet in revealing herself, and Professor X recruits her before anything bad can happen. With her powers of mimicry, she becomes a good leader and Prof. X assigns her a squad. The squad is killed or defeated because of her hesitation or the other downside of her powers being a kind of seizure when she encounters new powers in order to “learn” them. She runs off in a panic, traumatized by losing her squad. Not just because she was in charge and they died but because they were her friends, her comrades, brothers/sisters-in-arms. She goes home, because that’s where you go when you’re upset. Her mother turns her in because she’s a racist, but her father helps her escape. From there, she gets recruited by SHIELD and becomes a kind of therapist because she has the capacity to fully understand the powers of mutants and supers by way of her memorization and mimicry. This is how she is brought in to become a therapist for Loki after the events of Avengers.
So... For me, characters are basically a word cloud of adjectives, traits, flaws, downsides, and reasons. As evidenced by my About Me, I don’t perceive people as a dossier with statistics like Age, Height, Weight, Eye Color, Hair Color, etc. I think of them as Kind, Attentive, Empathetic, Clumsy, Dyslexic, Prone to Seizures, Racist Mother, Loving Father, Likes Green Day, etc.

Starfinder AU: Skyfire Legionnaire, Starship Captain, Bodyguard
Hanami Hagane: Lv 20 Dragonkin, Solarian 15 / Soldier 5, Chaotic Good. Home planet: Triaxus. Theme: mercenary. Abilities: Draconic immunities, darkvision, keen senses, partner bond. Key ability scores: STR, CHA.
STR 21 / DEX 10 / CON 19 / INT 12 / WIS 12 / CHA 21
Vorpal Ruin Devastation Blade: Rarely subtle weapons, due to both their size and their often elaborate spiked designs. Exident Skyfire Armor: These iconic outfits are worn by storied members of the skyfire legion. Phase Shield: Generates a glowing blue shield on the arm to block incoming attacks. Standard Speed Suspension: Increases land speed by replacing joints and tendons in the legs with high-performance cybernetics.
Solarian: A force of preservation and annihilation. The stars guide the planets with gravity, create life with light and heat, and utterly consume worlds in supernovas and black holes. You understand that these acts of creation and destruction are not opposites, but rather two parts of a natural, dualistic cycle. You seek to be an agent of that cycle, an enlightened warrior with the ability to manipulate the forces of the stars themselves.
Soldier: A consummate warrior, never hesitating to put yourself in the line of fire to protect your friends. Conflict is an inevitable result of life. On every world that harbors complex living organisms, creatures battle one another for dominance, resources, territory, or ideals. Whether you’ve taken up arms to protect others, win glory, exact revenge, or simply earn a living, you are the perfect embodiment of this truth. You’re an expert at combat of all types but tend to prefer heavy armor and weapons—the bigger, the better.
Stellar Revelation: Black Hole. Pull any number of creatures within 35 feet of you closer. Each target must succeed at a Fortitude save or be pulled 25 feet toward you.
Zenith Revelation: Starquake. Create a violent ripple of energy to knock down your foes. Each creature you are adjacent to at any point during that movement takes 3d8 bludgeoning damage and must succeed at a reflex save or be knocked prone.

One convenient way to treat acne scar
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, acne affects up to 50 million Americans every year. What causes acne?
The cause of acne usually boils down to clogged pores when a mix of sebum, bacteria, and dead skin cells are trapped in a hair follicle.
Each pore on the surface of skin is the opening to a hair follicle, which is made up of a hair and an oil gland. When working properly, the oil gland releases sebum that travels up the hair and out of the pore. The sebum reaches the skin, where its job is to keep skin lubricated.
If part of this process goes awry, acne may occur.
This can be due to excessive sebum produced by the oil gland, a buildup of dead skin cells, or the accumulation of bacteria — all of which can lead to clogged pores that contribute to the formulation of acne.
Then, how to treat it fastly? Here introduces a quick method with Herolabs acne patch.
1.After cleansing, dry the problematic spot.
2.Apply  acne patch gently with the sticky side down.
3.Leave on and let it heal. Good by pimple! Acne is one of the most common skin conditions in the United States, yet finding an effective treatment can be a mystery. For more treatments, check www.herolasbs.shop
