💁🏻‍♀️ Last weekend was super busy for me. Two very important events came up and both on the same day only a few hours apart. Although it was the weekend and I would have used any excuse to spend time with my family, I decided to honor my commitments and cover both of them. The one I want to talk about here is the launch of Her Health First. A brand new initiative by a mom of a toddler whose vision was to connect women, new mothers, and mothers to be with health experts and doctors for a better lifestyle, pregnancy, and motherhood within the UAE. ▫️▫️▫️ I was very fortunate to have attended this wonderful event and get to know the amazing mommy behind Her Health First. The event was organized by Yello Feathers at Radisson Blu Deira Creek and I have to say everything was nothing less than perfection.The hall, the arrangements, amazing activities for women, a delicious hi-tea and of course, heavy goody bags, I'm sure all mommies went home very happy. ▫️▫️▫️ What really amazed me was to see how so many women showed up at the event to support Mariya - Founder of Her Health First and they were all very interested in the highly informative talks given by the panel of 9 qualified doctors and specialists. From dealing with mental health issues to physical challenges of conception, post-partum health concerns to weight loss and other feminine health issues - the event was extremely interactive and insightful. ▫️▫️▫️ Ladies, especially all of you living in UAE, I request you to please follow @herhealth to support an initiative that benefits us all mommies and soon to be mommies. They will be regularly organizing events where you will get to interact with doctors and health care experts about key women health issues. Upgrade Your Workout with New Gear! #BeSummerTimeFine

I love how working out feels, but like most people I can get a little lazy and sometimes don't workout (work, family and good food gets in the way) ...and days can turn into weeks.  Before you know it, you have not been to the gym in two weeks (okay for me it had been three weeks).

I Couldn't Find My Workout Clothes...

I found myself looking for my workout clothes to no avail (yeah it had been that long), so I finally found something to wear to the gym (praying that I didn't see anybody that I knew) and worked out-hard.  It felt good again and I hightailed it on down to Walmart and picked up some workout pants so that I would not have the "no workout clothes" excuse to fall back on.  Plus I didn't want to wear those high water pants again.

I picked up these adorable black and grey Danskin short pants.  I have to admit, that I was a little anxious about them (I have some dangerous curves honey), but I found my size after digging through the pile and they were only 11 bucks!  The price was so good that I copped my Mom a pair, hoping to trick her into coming to the gym with me!

When I went on my workout today I felt all sexy, my music on my Iphone sounded like a concert and the sweat felt even better!  So I encourage you to go out and cop something new for your workout, it will give you another reason to stay "in the gym" or where ever you choose to workout!  Just don't stop!

I got my new workout find at Walmart, but you can get yours anywhere!!...Walmart, Target, Walgreens!
