2. talk about a notable time a narrative or character has looked you dead in the eyes and said “fuck your plan, here’s what we’re actually doing.”

Hereward. jesus christ hereward. literally did not plan for him to be more than akechi's cognition who appears once or twice for plot and flavoring and then. then. some beautiful commenter came up with the theory that he was an akechi from one of the past timelines and like. while that is not what i did it did fucking inspire me to rewrite not only the cognitive Akechi's whole storyline to be a past version of his shadow instead, but ALSO had me change up my entire plan for the later plot. it improved the fic tenfold and spawned a prequel fic and dear god did it make me fall in love with Hereward as a persona but the guy derailed what was gonna be a normal timeloop fic into something new.

23. how do you deal with writers block?

i uh. dont really. i just kinda wait it out. best thing that works is watching different things until i get inspired. or daydreaming until it works. god help me
