SCP AMTF Nu-7 Cosplay - The Standard Fitment

The "standard fitment" of the conventional ground force Nu-7 Armed Mobile Task Force unit, or AMTF, fighter. This particular fitment style and the style of most Armed Mobile Task Force Units is a light fighter loadout intended for 24 hour operations. The lack of individual sustainment is due to the Foundation's heavy use of large supporting elements which can provide immediate sustainment gear on site. This allows for the individual direct action task force member to equip themselves with only the essentials they need to complete their objectives. The standard fitment is, in other words, the general day-to-day uniform of an active Nu-7 operative. Nu-7 is the largest AMTF unit and includes three company-sized elements of special operations infantry forces. The example here is of course what could potentially be the most common uniform of this main fighting force during day-to-day operations. This would be the standard rifleman loadout of contemporary times with an M4 or AR pattern weapon and seven or more magazines worn on the body. In a general sense at the bare minimum they are equipped with a ballistic helmet with an active hearing communications headset, a plate carrier with a low intensity fighting load of ammunition, a trauma kit, a small pack with food/water and spare kit, a combat belt for utilities or for a side arm, additional ammunition, grenades, and overall a camouflaged MultiCam uniform for external site operations. In the case of Nu-7, the chosen day-to-day colors are generally black and MultiCam. Other day-to-day uniforms may vary depending on the operative's purpose within the element and the task force itself.

Examples of when this uniform would be seen on Nu-7 operatives is during site guard duty, during site patrols, during training, and during low risk internal site operations. This particular photoshoot which displays the various uniforms of the task force was taken at a Foundation procured shoot house and is intended to provide guidance for new candidates entering into the training program. This visual aid allows candidates to see the myriad of specialties and roles they will be trained to perform and master within a conventional AMTF unit.

This is my take on a realistic SCP AMTF Nu-7 operative cosplay, using real military spec gear and placing the loadout in a 1:1 SCP Foundation universe canon to our contemporary world. Armed Mobile Task Force unit Nu-7, operating out of Armed Biological Containment Area-14 which is disguised as a US military base, would reasonably be wearing US military gear when active within United States territory. This would be the 'in-house' uniform of the task force, with overt personnel ID, site keycard, and morale patches to promote esprit de corps amongst other AMTF units when on-site.

Introducing... Dr. Wyvern (NOT BRIGHT REWRITE, SEPARATE OC NOW)

He is not my bright rewrite, wyvern is now his own character

My attempt at a SCP-963 / Jack Bright rewrite and/or variant. His full name is Dr. Midas Wyvern, his pronouns are he/him and he's a trans man [not trans *masc*].

The name comes from I liked the name Midas, and i used to have an OC named it back when I was 13. The last name comes from the fact I like dragons! And Wyvern as a last name just slaps hard.

A lot of things on Wyvern is still very much the same to the original Bright, I still take [at least some] heavy influence from Major Tom with changes to fit Wyvern more so.

In doing so this does mean the extensive family (Mikell, TJ, Claire and Sarah) change to adjust to this, mostly still having the same first names with TJ combining his first and middle names than a hyphenated first name.

Now the amulet itself, 963, I have changed the overall appearance still very much based on my original idea of it being based on the Amulet of Arkay, mostly in the appearance: a sun like shape. It's anomalous properties remain very similar to the original 963 with the key difference of there is no more 'cloning', there is no need to change the body after 30 days Wyvern can have the body for as long as it allows him but taking off the amulet will cause that body to go lump and be dead. Another key difference is that when a new body wears it the physical body will have some minor changes to be very similar to what the original body looked: hair will grow, the same scars pre-accident will form, eye color, etc. However it doesn't affect the whole body; if the body has tattoos they will remain, height, general build, amab? afab? those will remain, etc. In amab bodies there is a huge amounts of euphoria, afab is dysphoria central I will make that clear right now. Any past person is 100% gone. Disappeared. Gone to the void.

Like in Major Tom; the Wyvern family has the amulet in their family for generations rather than it being picked up by the Foundation. Wyvern was a researcher when it happened, similar setting, similar Abel k wording.

Design reveal soon as well as more lore tidbits. For now I am working on a general theme/songs that vibe with Wyvern, you can chose to listen to such here.

I still believe the character Jack Bright belongs to the community and those who still write, rp, cosplay, kin, especially those who happen to be or have introjects of him are still in the right to do so. Do not force your headcanons, designs, rewrites, Shaw, or anything onto others, do not bully, do not threaten. Just ignore, block, or go outside.

Cult of the Lamb Cosplay!

In one of my most recent posts I gave thanks to VanhooverPE for the awesome convention I was very happy to go to! what I didn't mention however was that I was in cosplay! I was wearing my fully finished COTL Lamb cosplay and was super fortunate to meet amazingly talented VA’s such as Ellie Ray and Tabitha St Germaine and Mark Hamill and meet incredibly talented artists such as @therealakineko​ and Gobiraptor and BoomPOP  and Waffle Wishes  I also got to compete in the awesome cosplay contest hosted by Crackle’s Cousin Cosplay where I was overjoyed to win the advanced category and best in show! and now for what anyone reading this has actually been waiting for! THE PICTURES!!! (I took tons so I’m just posting some of my faves)

the con started on a Friday the 13th so this brilliant madlad combined Pinkie Pie with Jason!!! the chainsaw actually WORKS and plays music! they made it themselves and I was super lucky that I got permission to hold it for a few photos!

I'm here for the matchup event

I use she/her pronouns and am a heteromantic aego/demisexual, so I would like to be matched with a guy, but it seems like all of the matchups are for guys.

I'm everyone's kind hearted, patient, forgetful, absent minded, extremely loyal cinnamon roll cheerleader friend who can tell when people are lying or aren't ok, and will stay with them until they feel better. If consequences did not exist, I would fight whoever upset the person that I'm caring for.

I'm extremely energetic and silly around people that I trust and calm around people that I've just met. I also think that I'm a good judge of character.

My hobbies include listening to panic at the disco, mother mother and video game soundtracks, dancing, singing/lip synching and doing tiktok cosplay poses around people that I trust and while I'm by myself, and I also try to cosplay at least once a year.

I also play animal crossing at least once a day, and have become obsessed with the SCP foundation and scary stuff like reddit nosleep stories, and enjoy watching people play games that I'm thinking about buying.

Some huge flaws of mine are apologizing for everything and everyone about stuff that I can't control, but I'm recognizing that not everything is my fault. I procrastinate a lot on almost everything,

I also have this terrible perfectionism streak that ranges from the wrong shade of a color on a dress or cosplay to just being about to quit a class because I got one bad grade, even though I have an A or a B in the class.

I appreciate quality time and just being able to hang out with people who matter to me.

I haven’t made a goddamn dime off of SCP Foundation.

And that’s been fine with me up until today.

One of the things that I accepted when SCP Foundation became a “big thing” is that everyone else was going to make money off of it except me. Artists who make T-shirts or keychains or sell fanart. People publishing SCP Foundation art books or calendars. Bumper stickers. Cosplay accoutrements. All that jazz.

I was okay with this, because I was certain that everyone involved in this was going to remember one of the key clauses of the SCP Foundation license: the concept of “Share-Alike.” You can recoup your costs, you can even make a bit of profit if you want, but you have to remember that you���re not the only one who can do this. We’re all leeching off of old man Izumi Kato’s statue, after all, and he’s graciously allowed us to keep doing so when he could have shut us down at any time. He even lets us use the likeness of his artwork on our web site so long as we don’t sell anything based on it. And we’ve been ever so grateful for that.

I have to admit that it’s gotten harder to keep this upbeat attitude as SCP Foundation becomes a bigger thing. Full-on Triple-A games that openly admit to having taken ideas from stuff me and my friends wrote ten years ago are coming out, and I’ve grinned and bore it, because they worked hard to make those games, and even if I’m a little resentful of the fact that they piggybacked off of the work we put in, I’ve always reminded myself that our ideas were not original, we drew from tropes and concepts already present in fiction, and games like Control and SOMA are taking their own individual takes. But I’ve been okay with it. Because I was happy knowing that the things I made, the characters and worlds I created, was inspiring other people to create, and that they would, in their own turn, inspire others. A cascade of creativity and awesomeness.

Until today.

Andrei Dushkin, of ARTSCP, is a fucking bastard. He broke the Share-Alike clause for personal gain, and even worse, he is trying to cut other people out of the pool. He is taking the goodwill that our community built up, that we’ve relied on to remain an open creative community, and he’s trying to keep it all for himself. And for all I care, he can burn in hell.

I don’t know what the hell I can do to help. But at the very least, I can spread the word.

The sky is without a single cloud offering a blue and clear day to everyone under, of course, a calm sky does not translate well to the current situation. The Avengers are heading to the X-men with one bemused Tony Stark and Cap America along.

"This waste of time"

"Glad you´re not the leader of this operation then, Tony"

Arriving in the X-men, formalities are tossed aside as Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel are searching for the leader of the X-men and one impressed student, named Jia Jang, went to fetch the leader.

Ororo Monroe steps out of the mansion to speak with Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel and the others, but, promptly ignoring Tony Stark. Storm has Wolverine and Dazzler on her side.

"Storm?" Captain Marvel asked impressed but looking around notice the absence of two X-men. "May I ask what happened with Jean and Scott?" Carol asked hoping to not sound abrasive, in fact, the woman is just curious as Scott could step down as a leader, but, never as an X-men.

Scarlet Witch makes an odd face when Logan starts to cry and repeats the name Jean and Pheonix in an incorrect sentence. Dazzler and Ororo roll their eyes as they ignore Logan.

" You may as this is not a secret" Ororo states and Tony scoff and is even more ignored if possible "Jean Grey became the Pheonix, a cosmical force of life and death, and she and Scott are in Shiar ...enjoying vacation" Storm explained realizing how absurd that sounds and how that truly happened.

"The Pheonix force is a powerful deity that can create and destroy" Wanda states fascinated. "But...when she takes a host is often in a very, uhm, shall we say the troublesome experience for everyone involved and the planet" Wanda concludes recalling the books about the cosmic deities she read in her young age.

"Correct" this time Dazzler contribute to the conversation. "But her transformation happened in space, remember the mission the Nasa gave to us? That´s where happened" and something seems to click on Wanda as this explains everything she has felt.

Captain Marvel has no time to get more details as she wants to solve the SCP´s situation fist. "So, Storm you´re the leader of the X-men, congratulations, now...we need your help, Minerva stole a few SCP´s items and we fear she is doing this to bring, and I quote, "the glory of Kree" upon Earth...you must know that this is bad"

Ororo nods and Wolverine stops crying and even stops mutter the name Jean as if it was a sacred pray.

"We, X-men, are well aware of the SCP foundation, however, what we can do to help...we don´t have experience in this situation as you Avengers have"

"Kitty Pryde" Wanda states firmly "she destroys all the Inhumans..." she closes her eyes and is thankful that her brother is not present for this conversation. "even the skank of my brother´s wife. Easily, she controls chaos or is she chaos? I think she´s linked to the SCPs...Ororo, I respect the secrets the X-men have, but, this time I must ask you ...what´s Kitty Pryde?"

Ororo´s blue eyes widen for a moment as she looks at Logan for a moment, the man is sharing the same expression, and she gives her honest answer. "We don´t know...we never asked"

Wanda and Carol aren´t thrilled with this reply, and Dazzler raises her hand and speaks with her fist glowing as she is changing the reality of the space they all are for a few moments. "Let me ask you this. How powerful you think the Pheonix is?" everyone agrees she´s very powerful "and if I tell you there´s something even more powerful than Pheonix...what you all understand about Outer Gods?"

"I understand that if the Herald of Galaticus is saying there´s something more powerful than the Pheonix...I´m listening" Carol states listen carefully and looking at the ''powerpoint presentation''

And Dazzler continues. "This is how your mind can comprehend the Outer God of Death, this is how your mind can understand the Pheonix and this is...the Outer God of life...Death and Eternity are twins as Pheonix is the younger sister. Pheonix is in Shiar, but, Eternity walks freely"

And the powerpoint presentation ends. Dazzler looks at Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel.

"What Eternity wants?"

"You think I know? Only she knows..."

The city is under the rain. A tempest that is causing more trouble than good even for the fish people, yet, Cosmo drags Jupiter here for some reason. The cat is not amused. Even if Cosmo made a bubble to protect them from the rain.

"Cosmo, what the hell? why are we back to this damn city?" Jupiter asked not getting the point or meaning in put their claws back here.

"To see part of my plan, well, I must confess...it was never my plan, I was a paw as much the others are...but, we can see the results here"  Cosmo states and before Jupiter could speak anything else. The fish people start screaming in horror.

"Jupiter, you once asked me about my patron, the Celestial mother, what do you think she does for all Eternity?"

"Uhm...creates life?"

"No, is much more than that...she can create life, morph life, she can destroy life if she wants and yes, Zaorva is not the one to punish an entire nation for one man´s mistake but if the entire city make a mistake" Cosmo trails off as tentacles arrive at the moment the rain turns into flames.

Jupiter glares to Cosmo for a moment then to the tentacles and fire. "I see, so, was this all Zaorva´s plan?"

"Yes, no, who knows? unlike your patron, she´s very, very impatient"

"Kitten is still impatient"

And the cat and dog watch the destruction of the Dagon´s city and everyone included. Jupiter makes some quips that her destruction is very different from LK´s own methods.

Minerva was not having a good day. For starts, the SCPs she stole aren´t working as they should and Minerva has the feeling someone or something is spying on her. "I stay away from the X-men and I didn´t interfere on Chaos` plans...have I wrong him?"

"No, he´s cool with you, but...I´m not" Kitty speaks amused walking barefoot on Minerva´s hideout. Minerva certainly had better days as her azzure skin is blemish and she has bags under her eyes.

"Who are you?" Minerva asked with her laser gun who is not working, in fact, her gun in melting and Minerva quickly tossed away to get another gun, rinse and repeat.

"Won´t say I´m chaos? It has been a while since I went fake Dark Pharaoh" Kitty smiles at her own jokes and continues to walk as the SCPs slowly vanish from Minerva´s grasp. Now, Minerva is completely alone.

"Oh so you admit you were cosplay as me," LK said amused as Kitty leave Minerva´s hideout as her tentacles are back to its original place.

"You knew that for how long?" Kitty asked bemused at him. LK flash a big smiling and speaks how he knows ever since she punches him. "You´re a good liar"

"What you´ll do with the Krees?" LK asked as Kitty is confused for a moment.

"Well, I was tempted in just let go, as I never heard of that Kree supreme or whatever, but, now...she picks my annoyance so...stay here, you handsome asshole, cause I´ll deal with this"

The Supreme Intelligence was not having a good day as LK is just watching ("she thinks I´m handsome" "a handsome asshole") while Zaorva destroys everything with such ease that...her expression is a little bored here.

"Didn´t you said you wanted to overcome me? So...why is so easy to defeat you" Kitty´s face is cracking as the Supreme is trying all her tricks. In the end, she accepts the fate that she lost.
