Today's walks were super humid and sweaty despite being up before the sun was high.

On the first, there was no one on the traffic-heavy main road so I took a quick look in the usually off-limits bin:

someone had emptied their bathroom cupboard into a clear bag and tossed it so I whipped out my foldable bag and put it in there to lug it home the 150m discreetly. Must be holiday makers or second home owners because several items were still sealed and a lot was barely used and newly bought.

I've got a honey scented skin lotion, a pot of shea butter and a bb cream in my pale skin tone. Some hair spray for doll hair styling.

J took the make up, checked dates and disinfected or tossed it. Mousse foundation, mattifying powder, bronze blush and highlighter in her skin tone and a lip stain. She got the nice acrylic and wood storage too.

M took two small sealed tubes of herbal hand creams and a big bottle of green clay for masks. There's also a tube of vitamin a cream I'm told is sought after as an anti wrinkle and scar repair treatment (?).

Next walk was with Talia and we did a small bit of hill for my lower back. We're never doing more than a mile round trip even on the longest walks but it's definitely progress from being stuck within 200m. It takes a lot of energy and I go nap or browse lying down afterwards.

It was midmorning when sis asked if I'd go to the phone booth library with her to drop off some books. It seemed like it would be ok as it was very overcast. I put on my sandals for the first time this year and set out. The sandals no longer fit so we had to sit while I attempted to poke new holes in the straps with a safety pin. Then the sun came out and it was like a sauna between the rainy ground and the heat. I clipped my hair back to stop the dripping into the eyes. Sis has a neat tennis cap that's on tight to prevent the same thing. Later, Talia got furious at an off leash well behaved pibble four times her size. Her growl is adorably pathetic but so sincere. She's got a harness with a handle so sis can just lift her up and she quickly calms down. We took the shortest way home as it was so muggy.

So: got my leg and hip work in, some time with sis and a scavenged haul. All in all very nice.

I'm going to be taking an extra painkiller at night for the next week at least and try avoid using my arms too much. I did have to wrangle Lily somewhat to remove burrs from her paws but that's not an avoidable task.

Senna: Constipation

Ginger: Nausea, immune system and really in general good for just about everything, antinflammitory, circulation, cardioprotective (actually really helps reduce any Cardiac symptoms I have on days I take this)

Tart cherry: sleep, oh my God this stuff is like magic

Honey: Nausea, sore throat, immune, antibacterial, anti inflammitory

Clove: tooth pain, oral health in general especially oral infections

Witchazel: topical. anti-odor (this is the only thing that got my armpits to stop stinking when i started T!!!), disinfectant for skin, astringent, anti Itch for bug bites, minor scrapes , reduces sweat, acne

Tea tree: keeps lice and bed bugs and bugs and flies away, really most bugs leave me alone if I spray this on myself or my sheets/ furniture, anti odor (I use these things by azuna fresh and my house has never smelt better), room spray, might be helpful for some people's acne, anti fungal (good at getting rid of the infections I get near my nail beds, used it for that successfully multiple times). Putting it in a diffuser has helped when my family was sick (kept some of us away from being sick) or when I was sick (helped me be sick for less time). I'm guessing it helps with bacteria in the air or lungs. Though I doubt vaping or huffing or directing like putting ur nose up to the diffuser would be good for you. Not as good for being sick as others mentioned here but it's also nice to be able to smell something when ur nose it full of snot.

Vinegar: for cleaning. Removes pretty much any grime so easily. It's also good at Getting rid of germs on surfaces. Can add to especially dirty laundry loads (I usually run one cycle with vinegar and then another with the laundry soap so the smell isn't leftover).

Baking soda: I use this on my carpets or in my laundry also for cleaning garbage disposals. Sometimes I presoak my especially dirty laundry with baking soda and borax before I wash them (don't do this often but it works ).

Lemon balm: anxiety reducing, sleep

Valerian: sleep, stress reducing

Oatmeal: for eczema

Topically I love cbd, ginger, thc, and Menthol for pain relief.

Frankincense and myrhh: I burn this to help with my depression and anxiety. I've heard they also have anti bacterial/anti viral effects?

Clove and mace are my favourite herbs for taste.

Not one I'd consider an herbal remedy I use but yarrow is my favourite herb for spiritual protection.

My 2022

The end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 was a bit complicated. As for me (who luckily had a fairly healthy year, aside from a cold), I'll indulge myself and congratulate myself that I've managed to take a few steps, however small, toward my goal. I am a little closer to becoming the person I want to be, a little closer to that long-awaited feeling of fulfillment. Perhaps I have not achieved a physical, tangible, important change, like the one I had imagined last year, but I didn’t sit idly by and achieve more victories. That was my first tangible achievement, although my copies that were supposed to arrive in October or November have not yet arrived 🥲 (I'll send an e-mail asking for the delivery number so I can ask what happened in the post office).

It's a pretty humble start and I haven't won a first, second or even third place yet, but I'll keep pushing myself, reading and trying to improve myself to achieve it, with the main goal of "exercising my writing muscles". I know that I have potential and that this is my path, the one that I will travel with the conviction that there is also a bigger purpose beyond my fulfillment or that of achieving my independence, something that still seems impossible.

I don't usually set myself goals for the end of the year, but this time I have them clear, and I know that I will achieve them because my mentality is finally the right one. Little by little I am putting my thoughts in order and keep my vision fixed on the goal. Also, that I don't care what others think, say, or do; I must show myself that my love for me is genuine and that I will not abandon myself again. Even if it’s difficult, I will face my challenges with optimism. I cannot and must not go back now. My appearance is one of the items on my list. I must take courage and shave my head, accept myself and find a way to present myself to the world without shame; that the only thing that matters to me is feeling comfortable with myself. I have to leave my comfort zone a lot more. This year I tried, but not hard enough; I always find an excuse to return to comfort. I hope that ends in 2023.

Hopefully whoever tried to offend me at the beginning of this year discovers that when one points a finger the other three point at us, because we are even more than what we accuse others of. I’m convinced that something guides me and pushes me in the right direction, it’s just a matter of letting go and accepting that things do not always turn out as we hope. Everything begins and ends with yourself.

I know this is going to be another “lonely” year, but I hope I can do my part a bit, open up more to the possibilities, and maybe connect with someone I can become friends with. During the last three months there were times when I really felt the need for a hug, for someone who could comfort me and tell me that everything would be okay. I needed to be able to talk to someone, for a change. I don't feel lonely anymore, but that empty place persists... Of course I've felt someone's company, but it's not the same... it's like a ghost (Since I remembered her, I hope Livia is well and I would like to wish her a happy new year to her and her family XD). A ghost that I know cannot possibly be for me as he or I would like, or as I would need. I don't expect it either... I took care not to say anything beforehand just in case, in case he could worry about me in that important moment... In any case, it already helped me to see him happy and I had the consolation of his music, as it was for so many other people too...

I know I'm not really alone, I know. So I will be very happy to be able to celebrate another end of the year as a family, to have my beautiful, sweet, creative, talented and admirable mother with me and hopefully it will be for much, much longer, until I can share with her every achievement, every big change, every happiness and that she is happy and proud of me.

Sharing... that's what it's all about. It is what we all, wanting it or not, yearn for. Without really knowing if you are still there, if someone is angry with someone and if so who with whom (without knowing anything, in conclusion) I share with you again my words, a portion of my life, my humble achievements and struggles, in this final path still uncertain but that I enjoy more than before. My love for the idea of you will always be here 💛, wherever I express it or not. I keep it while I transform myself into solid ground, into a true refuge where someone can shelter forever and not just for a moment until everything falls with the first strong storm for not having worked well on it.
