#saw someone saying they get a little annoyed when someone calls merrill something like 'little sister' and while#i do know they were mostly joking I'm now going a little insane over how that's the way my main hawke viewed her and that's#exactly why things always kind of sucked between them. like. he liked her. he wanted her to be happy and safe. he wanted to help#her be happy and safe and make sure she fit in at her new home but he was also barely a year past#watching Bethany spend her last moments going against an ogre and. yeah it was dysfunctional but he kind of#saw Merrill through the lens of that grief. through feeling like he'd never been good enough to anyone in his family and then#had failed Bethany in the end and damnit. he wasn't going to do that with anyone else least of all merrill but it just#made him a stifling force in her life and in the end she could barely stand him (not that he could tell) and her keeper still died and just#like. even by the time he realized how stupid he'd been the damage was done.#connor hawke you stupid ball of self loathing and savior complexes i will always#love you and want to kick you off a rooftop.#sorry I'm just rambling and being stupid#original posts

hello!! i love your writing, so may i ask? may you write about fem!reader x caitvi with a reader that does ballet? thank you!đ·đ·đ
Sure! I'm a ballet dancer myself so I'm happy to do this request!
En Pointe | CaitVi x Reader
â°â†PLOT: Headcanons of CaitVi with a ballet dancer girlfriend!
â°â†WARNINGS: No Spoilers(S2), She/Her Pronouns, Not Proofread, Suggestive Themes (Second to Last Paragraph)
âŁ àł Enjoy!⣠àł
â As someone who's also physically active, Vi makes sure you're taking care of your body after long nights of rehearsal.
â She gives you supplements that help with muscle recovery, makes you protein shakes or smoothies that help you last throughout dress rehearsals or performances, etc.
â She also will invite you to work out with her when your teachers tell you that you need to work on conditioning or stamina.
â If you're running late to practice and your hair is a mess, Caitlyn will always be there to help you with it. Whether that's putting it in a ponytail so you can put it in a bun later or flat-out doing the bun for you while you prepare snacks and waters for class.
â Furthermore, the girls love to attend your rehearsals to watch you dance or to get familiar with your dance studio/school. Sometimes they come during late-night practices with dinner or during early morning practices so they can take you out for brunch later.
â When the time comes for pointe shoe fitting, trust that Lady Caitlyn and Vi are right there at your appointment. The two of them are astonished with how pointe shoes work and never knew how much care and preparation goes into them.
âââ
"What do you mean you have to sew them yourself?" Vi asked after her first fitting with you, appalled to hear that the ribbons and elastic come separately.
"Some teachers and dancers prefer different styles of ribbon, elastic, cut, and placement so to make things easier on the pointe shoe makers, the dancers sew the shoes themselves," you informed Vi but Caitlyn was nearby taking notes.
âââ
â On days when you forgot a certain pair of shoes or tights, one of the girls would rush home to grab them for you. Even if they were in the middle of work.
â And on the off chance that they can't leave work to help you out, Caitlyn either finds or hires someone to purchase a new pair of shoes for you and then deliver them to your location.
â Safe to say you have many pairs of canvas ballet shoes and even contemporary/jazz shoes if you dabble in those genres too.
â Upon supporting you through your practices and giving you motivation on hard days, Caitlyn and Vi are always there at your shows and performances with flowers or a stuffed animal if you don't like flowers.
â They've told their family and friends about the show too so you have at least two rows, or one really big row, of supporters at every one of your performances.
â Caitlyn would get her family, Jayce, Mel, maybe even Viktor while Vi gets her crew (Yes, including Vander, Mylo, and Claggor), and her sister to attend. Even some of the coworkers Vi got close to attend your shows sometimes.
â After every show, they make sure to feed you. So if you're in between shows, for instance you finished a morning show but you still have an afternoon and evening performance, they would quickly get you food from a nearby restaurant if craft services wasn't provided or good.
â If you only had one show that didn't cut too late into the night, they take you to whichever restaurant you want.
â It could be a restaurant you saw on the way to the venue that you wanted to try or your favorite one back home. Either way, you're getting fed and they're happy to pay for whatever you want.
â On days when practice was an absolute ass and your body was a mess and too sore to function, Caitlyn offers to draw you a warm bath while Vi offers to draw you an ice bath.
â Sometimes they get into petty arguments about which bath is better and what you truly need at the time but usually, they come to a decision on their own.
â After your bath, warm, ice, or both, a meal would already be ready for you and the bed open for your laying.
â If you were too tired to eat, one of them would feed you in bed while the other massaged your sore muscles and applied muscle repair cream.
â If you're one to enjoy adult activities, sometimes the massaging gets carried away. Especially if you're just in your towel. But trust, it's all consensual and if you're not in the mood for such activities, the girls don't even encourage it.
â Okay, that's all! Hope you guys enjoyed <3

Second chances.
Alexia putellas x coach!reader.

Summary: new job, old friends , and memories your tried to forget. Will you be able to dodge the past as you navigate your new job?
â More news arrived from the RFEF who have promised that they were going through a systematic change after the Luis Rubiales scandal. They have announced this morning the arrival of a new head coach to lead the womenâs team in the upcoming euro cup which will be held in switzerland. The 33 years old coach came from the united states where she led her team to victory in the nwsl. Her name may sound familiar to you because she was a part of Vilda's coaching staff until she decided to step away for unknown reasons. Although she has never coached a national team before, the new RFEF president is confident she will heal wounds left by her predecessor mostrĂ© tomĂ© and restore the team to its winning ways.â says the reporter on the TV. you were sitting on your couch listening to her talking about your new job with playerâs files in your lap. The international break was in 7 days and you needed to get familiar with everyone and have a clear plan of your strategy.Â
Being back in Spain brought back so many memories. You haven't come back since everything went down and you quit your job. You swore you would never come back to work with the RFEF however seeing everything unfold in the news you knew that agreeing to come back was more of a necessity than a choice. You loved the girls very much and you knew that they deserved better than what they got and you were adamant on giving them the best. Moreover, the new president was a woman you knew and was friends with. You trusted her and agreed to give her a chance. Besides Barcelona was the best city in the world, you couldn't pass up the chance to come back home.Â
As soon as you accepted your position, you contacted old colleagues, ones that you knew you could trust, and combined them with some of the existing staff that you were 100 percent sure were a safe fit for the new environment you were hoping to achieve and formed your new staff and announced it to the media. The fans were shocked at the amount of changes you made and their comments were very supportive of your decision which gave you a boost of confidence.Â
All you were thinking about was this team. You held and attended meetings all day long. You practically lived on your desk but it was all worth it because it all led to this phone call you were pursuing since the day you got to barcelona. You waited in front of your laptop anxiously waiting for your star player to join the zoom call. Shortly after you see her face pop on your screen.Â
â hola.â you say enthusiastically. â hola.â she replies. She looked much older since the last time you saw her, which was 4 years ago.Â
â Thanks for agreeing to this call. It truly means a lot.â you say playing with a pen in your hands.Â
â yeah it wasn't easy but i thought why not hear you out.â she replied.Â
â So I am gonna get right to it. I want you to be back in the national team. You are the best center back i know, i want you to be in the te am, and you deserve to have a place in this team.âÂ
â I see you haven't changed, you are still as honest as you were but I would have to decline.â responded mapi.Â
â I am turning things around maria. You know me, you know my story, you know everything. This time is different. I came back to make things different. You watched everything happen in front of your eyes. Do you truly think I could make someone feel the way I felt back then?âÂ
Mapi stayed quiet, she was perhaps thinking about that night you decided to leave everything behind. The night the idea of las 15 was created.Â
â okay.â you hear her say. â I will come to this camp.â you are overjoyed â you wont regret it leon.âÂ
Your happiness was cut short because you remembered that you had to do this 2 more times with pina and leila. After 2 very long phone calls you got them to trust you and to agree to the return to the national team. You then drafted the call up list and sent it to your assistant.Â
The days leading up to camp went by quickly as your plans of the first steps towards rebuilding were coming to fruition.Â
You were sitting in your office when you heard a knock on the door, it was your assistant coach informing you that the players began  to arrive. A wave of nerves watched over you but that was to be expected. You were a part of this team before and you hoped they would welcome you back with open arms. You were wearing casual clothes so that you won't be seen as authoritarian. You settled for a white t-shirt, black pants and shoes, and you wore your hair down. Your objective was to appear normal and friendly to the members of the team you weren't familiar with. You headed straight for the conference room and waited for the first people to arrive. Shortly after that Irene walked through the door. You were instantly transported back to 4 years ago which is the last time you and the captain have spoken. You closed your eyes briefly to try and get the bad memories away and open a new chapter with the captain. You shook hands and exchanged pleasantries with her and the rest of the barca group but quickly moved on to the other members that had joined. After they were all settled in their chairs you noticed the absence of the person you were most afraid to see, alexia putellas. Before you accepted the job you wrote down a pros and cons list. The first reason you put on the pros was the paycheck and the glory. However for the cons the first thing you wrote down was alexia putellasâs name. Seconds after you thought about her she appeared. She was just as beautiful and charming as you remembered. She immediately came to you but without sharing eye contact with you. She went in to kiss your cheek as a way to say hello and you did too. She still smelled like before and her smell still had a magnetic power over you. She then took a seat next to Irene and you pulled yourself together again and started your presentation.Â
â Hello everybody and welcome. You all heard of me, some of you even were a part of my team when I was working here which feels like a lifetime ago. But in that lifetime this team has risen from the underdog to the most favored and feared team in the world. I am here to continue that legacy and help the team strengthen its roster. But I am also here to create an environment, a culture, and a safe space for you all. You all are the best in Spain and you deserve to be treated like it. This culture I am trying to create involves no tolerance for homophobia, transphobia, racism, or sexism. I urge you to report any case of abuse or mistreatment from my staff or your teammates. I tried my best to employ people I trust and are advised to report anything that made you uncomfortable. So Without further or do let's talk strategy.âÂ
You go over everything you expect from the team and how the strategy is going to change. You then instruct your team to go rest so that training may begin tomorrow at 9 am.Â
On their way out you called for the captain to have a word with them. Once the room is empty you quickly say â so you heard everything i said, i just want to make sure that you two know that i mean Plus the captaincy is going to change. Obviously, you two are the captain and vice. You can come with me with any concern or question about anything.my door is always open. I am appointing jenni as the 3rd captain.âÂ
â That wouldn't go over well with the federation,â said irene.Â
â Well, I don't care. They knew who they hired. Plus I don't play by their rules.â you respond. The captains share a satisfactory look with you although you haven't looked at either of their eyes, then leave.Â
Your transition to head coach seemed to be seamless. The players were responding to your advice and strategies. The media seemed to be happy with the changes you made and especially with the arrival of mapi leon. The vibe of the club overall was great, and you were getting comfortable in your new spot. However, it was all about to change at the pro match press conference. The conference itself went great. You and the vice captain answered all the questions given to you without any mishaps. But once the media left and you were left alone with alexia, you felt yourself suffocating so you quickly got up to leave. Â
â You can't avoid me forever,â said Alexia calmly.Â
â Who said anything about avoiding you? The conference is done, so I am leaving. If you want to talk to me about anything, my office door is always open.â you say with a cold tone not bothering to look at her.Â
â You don't talk to me like you never do. Besides you won't even look at me." Alexia sounded sad. All you wanted was to take away all her pain but you couldn't.Â
â I talk like this to everybody.â you hear her get up and see her in front of you. Not looking her in her eyes would prove her point, and doing it would rip you to shreds. You suck it up and look at her hazel captivating eyes. â Happy now?â you respond. â We can't continue like this, we have to talk about that night.âÂ
â alexia there is nothing to talk about. I forgot everything that happened ,I moved on. I am your coach right now. If you have a concern about anything football related, come to my office.â you were lying straight to her face. You didn't move on or forget what happened. You just hoped your tough girl act would hold with her.Â
Game Day was always fun for you but this time around it had a little nervousness attached to it since it was your introduction as the new coach. You started your day witha call from the RFEF board wishing you good luck and re-stating their confidence in you. You revised your strategy, confirmed you starting 11, and headed to the bus so that you would head to the stadium. You decided on a blue suit and let your hair down. You looked both masculine and feminine  which summed up your personality perfectly.Â
Once you arrived at the stadium you gave the girls a motivational speech, headed to your seat in the sidelines and waited for the game to begin. You weren't a loud manager. You just sat there, observed the play and took notes. You trusted the girlâs judgment and gave them some autonomy when it came to the style of play which rewarded you with a goal in the 8th minute by aitana bonmati. The 1-0 unset turned into 6-0 by the 76th minute which made you proud of your debut. However it all turned into chaos when alexia putellas fell on the field. You panicked as the paramedics ran to her. You watched intensely as they examined her and waited for the signal that informed you that you needed a substitution which you got almost immediately. Your heart broke for the recently healed midfielder but you had other things in mind. You called for Teresa Abelleira and subbed her in. The game ended in a 7-0 win. You shook hands with everybody, did an interview but the thought of alexia didn't leave your mind. As soon as you were done you semi sprinted to the locker room. Once you got there you found irene.Â
â Is it the acl again?â you ask worryingly.Â
â No, it's just a muscle strain and her knee is acting up again.â you breathe for the first time in an hour.Â
â This is happening because of you.â she says harshly.
â Excuse me.â you couldnt believe what you heard.Â
â You shouldn't have come back here. You taking this job was a mistake. You have opened up an old wound and this is just the beginning.â
â I am going to have to stop you right here. First, I am your boss not your buddy from back in the day so you are going to have to take a step back and show some respect. Second, you have the nerve to talk to me about making mistakes knowing that you ruined my life not too long ago.
â She didn't sleep last night. That's why she got injured today. I am worried about my friend.âÂ
â You should have thought about your friend 4 years ago.â you say as you enter the medicâs room leaving her behind.Â
You found alexia with tape on her knee and achilles. Her eyes were closed so she didn't see you come in and sit next to her.Â
â I am willing to talk about that night this time only. Say everything you need but once I leave this room you are never going to bring it up again.âÂ
The only way to make it out is through. You thought.

Heeeyyy it's been a while since I've been here, but i got another idea.
So you remember me telling about the trope of readee being hated and suxh by the sully, well, instead of the usual 'sad reader wanting to fit in the family and gets hurt in the process', i actually thought of a reader who is overly calm and very strategic and honestly doesn't care about the fact that her family hates her, cause she spends more time with her friends and such and only comes when it's an emergency. She's also better than Neteyam at being a warrior that she trained many new warriors and has a very high spiritual connection with eywa, even more than Kiri
sully family x sister/daughter
The sully family had live by two quotes one of them being " sully stick together" and second on being " that their family was a fortress" well that was all true but false. There was one family member that didn't get the same love and treatment like all the other children within the family and outside of the family. That family member is Jake and neytiri daughter, who never seem to with over her parents and even her siblings along with the rest of the clan. A child who does not get love and care will soon grow up by themselves and becoming independent, and might not return love and care to those who never gave it to them.
y/n " ........" you soon rolled out of bed way before any of your siblings wake up, even before your parents as well. This is the norm for you from such a young age you learned to stay out of your family way.
y/n " good morning grandmother" you soon went to the healer hut to see your grandmother as she was getting ready for the day.
mo'at " hello my granddaughter you are here early"
y/n " well it best if I stay out of toruk makto way along with neytiri as well" mo'at was the only few people who cared for the child, and over time grow dislike towards Jake and neytiri for their treatment of their daughter.
mo'at " yes it seems like goes well for you when you keep out of their way along with majority of the clan"
y/n " well I do stay around to make sure everyone is safe I even watch over tuk and younger kids when they play, far from their mothers watch but make sure not to get caught"
mo'at " you are might warrior my child and pure of heart as well"
y/n " well I only have a few more years of being a teen until I'm an adult and toruk makto will tell me to leave or kick me out"
mo'at " well you always have a place in my home my child"
y/n " thank you grandmother I might stay her a bit longer when I'm older then leave to seek out more of our world as eywa has been calling me"
mo'at " follow your heart my dear" you smile at your grandmother the happy mood had been changed, when the other healers had arrived young and old but none of them set towards the hut.
mo'at " don't stand there like fools come we have to get ready for the day"
y/n " it best if I take my leave grandmother my present make everyone uncomfortable"
mo'at " dear you can stay your sisters will be coming for thier lessons, and I will love you to join them"
y/n " I will like to honor your wish but that will lead to trouble for you grandmother, with our mighty leader I will see you later on" you bid your grandmother goodbye and soon left the hut, getting glares and hearing whispers but you didn't care you stopped care many years ago.
y/n " sisters good morning"
kiri "morning y/n"
tuk " big sister good morning I have missed you ... oh I mean good morning y/n" you sighed as tuk had been the only sibling to call you sister, but it seems like Jake and neytiri actions and words had finally made her start calling you sister.
tuk " are you here to help grandmother and learn with us"
tuk " that not fair or nice"
y/n " it okay little one I understand well I shouldn't hold you all up anymore, I pray to the great mother to watch over all three of you" the duo said nothing else as they soon walked away from you, but it seems like they felt bad about their behavior. You were walking around the village trying to get somewhere.
y/n " ......" you had realized you had forgotten something that home, and soon ran back to get it. You soon reached the home and went to your bed and grabbed it, the home smells like breakfast meaning the family had morning meal together. You had sighed it was normal for you to not have meals with your family at home.
y/n " time to get going" you had grabbed your armband and soon put it on before you walked out of your home, you soon made your way through the village once again.
navi man " there that girl again"
navi women " I still can't believe she toruk makto daughter she nothing like her parents or siblings, even kiri a better daughter then her"
navi man 2 " I have heard rumors that toruk makto has plans to send to live on her own"
navi women " well I heard him and neytiri were trying to find a boy to become her mate, they were given any man a good offer to be with her" you had gotten use to hearing all the hate and rumors made about you, over time when you were younger you tried you best to prove you were good enough but soon stopped over time. The feeling of not caring about other had started when you become 13 and stayed that way since then.
Jake " if we hunt on these grounds we will be able to bring back a good hunt" you soon came across Jake and his hunting group as he had your brothers and spider with him.
y/n " ........" one of the warriors had noticed you and soon whispered something to the group, as everyone soon looked at you.
Jake " y/n you are wake you were not up when we served morning meal, your mother works hard on these meals it rude to miss them"
y/n " I'm sorry sir but something came up that morning and I went to meet with grandmother"
Jake " sure whatever just stay out of trouble I don't need you causing anymore trouble"
y/n " yes sir"
lo'ak " hey sis well dad giving you the same lecture over and over again, when are you going to learn"
y/n " when are you going to stop being so hothead brother"
spider " haha she got you good bro"
neteyam " enough the people are watching stop picking on him y/n it rude"
y/n " what he started it"
neteyam " well you need to be the better person dad is stress enough he doesn't need more work about you, and have you been practicing you skills .... you know how dad and mom are"
y/n " I ....."
neytiri " yes have you been training or act like your child your younger sister has better skills then you"
neteyam " mom"
y/n " yes I have been practicing ma'am"
neytiri " not enough if you haven't pass the test like your brother"
y/n " I'm doing my best that all I can say"
Jake " enough y/n I and your mother have more important stuff to deal with verse your failing to caught up with the family .... just go and stay out of the way of everyone and everything" you didn't say anything else as you soon walked away. Your brother and spider said nothing else, even tsutey who was there said nothing as well.
norm " hey there kiddo off again"
y/n " yes same as usual"
max " had another fight with your dad again and mom"
y/n " yes it seems like I'm not enough for Jake sully and neytiri, always blaming me for stuff like some of the others and always judging me"
norm " he does care"
y/n " stopping lying we all know that false norm he doesn't care and he will never care" norm and max along with some other humans knew that was true and hate how you were treated, but they couldn't say and do that much unless they wish to start trouble with the clan.
max " you know one day you will do something amazing kid"
y/n " thank you max well I'm going off if you need Jake sully he about to leave with his hunting party along, with my brother and spider" you soon ran off getting far away from home tree and soon calling your ikran, she was not allowed to stay with the others because she looked different and was not wanted around.
y/n " come on girl lets go for a flight and to see what we will happen today" you soon took off on your ikran and started flying around the skies, feeling for free and happy. After some travel you soon reached a part the end of the forest and where the sea began. This was so a beautiful place.
y/n " ........" you were walking around the area exploring everything and having a bright smile on your face. Then you felt someone place their hands on your waist.
y/n " ahhh kawwney" you had turned around to see you friend kawwney standing there, he soon smirked at you. As he soon backed away from you and smiled.
kawwney " hello ma y/n I was waiting for your arrival"
y/n " well I'm help to me here it better then being at home right now" kawwney had become your friend many years ago when you both of you were small. He was not from the forest he was from reef clan the metkayaian, you had meet him when you were with your grandmother on trip and kawwney was with his mom. After that day the both of you had become the best of friends.
Kawwney " almsot there hold it like that ... okay now fire the spear" you soon fire the spear and soon hit the target as kawwney had cheered for you.
kawwney " good job you are doing a well job with using a spear and your breathing as well"
y/n " thank you"
kawwney â what the matterâ
y/n â family problems once againâ kawwney soon sighed he knew you didnât have, a good relationship with your parents. He really didn't like your parents and clan for their treatment of you, and he really wished to do anything to make your life better.
Kawwney â y/n you are perfect no matter what they have to say or do, they are blind fools for treating you like thisâ
Y/n â thank you kawwney there are whispers going around that Jake will kick me out or true to marry to off not anyone who will take the offerâ
kawwney â I will take the offer or even he does kick you out if you leave come join my clan, out of all forest Navi we have seen we only likes a few ⊠you make those names of people we like even my father likes you and wishes to have you stay with usâ
y/n â thank you kawwney you will make a great leader one day and bring pride to your clan and peopleâ
kawweny â thanks you and one day you will make a great tshiak and leader, as well maybe you can rule by my side as wellâ
kawwney â here a gift my dear a necklace I made for you perfect for you, and it will symbolize our bondâ you smile as kawwney as he place the necklace around your neck, kawwney soon pulled your closer to him not caring who saw them.
later at night
y/n " ......." you soon had arrived home after being gone all day with your friends having a fun time and practicing as well, you heard your family laughing and talking. Once she had stepped into the home everything had become silent as everyone looked at her.
Jake " it seems like you have decided to come home after all"
y/n " yes sir I was out doing some practice"
Jake " that seems like a bunch of lies young lady"
y/n " ........."
Jake " you know you will soon be an adult you will need to make, the right decision if you wish to have a place in the clan and family" you didn't say anything as you nodded your head.
neytiri " if you can't be a hunter then lets hope you can do something else for the clan and family, or maybe your father and brother can find you a good match to strengthen the family and clan" your siblings stay quite as they watched your parents speak to you.
Jake " y/n you can't stay act like a child for the rest of your life, soon you will have to grow up and become an adult and give up your childish for once and a while"
y/n " yes sir"
Jake " good now this conversation is over with I hope you will take I and your mother words to heart" you stayed silent you knew the day will come when your family will have to make the decisions, to allow you to stay in the family of to have you leave. You had taken some soon went to bed to stay out of your family happy moment together, you soon thought about the words Jake will say " sully stick together" and " that our family is a fortress". You soon scoffed at those words they were false words coming from a man that has failed to be father to his daughter. When the time will come you will make the decisions you want that will mean no longer being a sully, even if it mean parting some the life she had live for so many years but maybe it was time for some change in her life.

my dear! I'm your fan, I love your writing. Thank you for taking us out of our reality and allowing us to enter a world of our own! Could I make a request for a crazy idea I had? An anguished Y/N and Chan fight and he tells her to leave and leave him alone. When Y/N leaves in a daze he doesn't see the car and is run over. In the end I trust you. =) If it doesn't bother you and you can fulfill my request, I would be very happy!
Can we turn back time?
Warnings: blood, tragic, angst, accident.
Summary: ^^ Requested
A/N: hey baby :) not the best :/ butttt I hope you like it. Sorry for any grammar mistakes.
**
Her heart was beating at a fast pace. Why was he not understanding what she was trying to say?
âYou always come home late Chan! I thought I could have this one night. This one night to ourselves but you chose to go drinking instead?!â She poured her heart out as she stared at her idol boyfriend.
âPlease Y/n now now okay? I get you wanna talk but can I please just go to bed? We can talk about it tomorrow,â he pleaded as he put down his black leather jacket on the couch.
His curls sat neatly on his head and his black shirt fitting him perfectly and his jeans neatly ironed.
âChan it feels like you donât love me anymore!â
âWell maybe I donât, okay?!â He got up and yelled. His anger was now full on visible as he aggressively slammed his hands on the table.
She stood there looking at him shocked. Tears pricking through her eyes. What was this mess?
His eyes softened as looked her scared figure. âI- I didnât mean too,â
âSave it Chan.â She sobbed. Her hand was fiddling with her promise ring that Chan has gifted her on their 2 year anniversary. It was the most beautiful ring that she has laid her eyes on but as time went on she realized it was just a ring it was a stress reliever because anytime she was sad, frustrated, mad or confused she would play with the ring on her finger.
âWhy canât you see the things you keep doing hurt me Chan?â She sobbed and looked up at him. Praying that somehow she can find answers.
âI-â he took a deep breathe trying to keep his own tears in, âIâm failing okay? Can you just leave me alone? Please?â He took a shaky breath before taking a step back and grabbing his jacket.
âAm I a burden now?â Her chest tightened. Chan couldnât look at her. He had no courage, no strength.
âIâm going upstairs,â he simply said and walked past her.
She wanted to stop him, beg him to hold her, beg him to be there for her but the pain in her chest told her otherwise. She looked so silly, like a kicked puppy.
She wiped her tears and walked over to grab her shoes before leaving her house totally forgetting her phone and keys.
**
It was dark and cold. The sun had officially set and people were either out having dinner or rushing home from work.
Y/n couldnât help but feel bad as she watched the couples sitting outside restaurants talking and laughing.
She felt empty, she felt deceived. Chan was the perfect boyfriend. He made sure of it but when they started becoming a hit he started slowly pushing her to the side leaving her at home and going out to drink and party or he would be locked up in the studio trying to make new songs.
She was lost without him. She had created her whole routine off of him and now she would wakeup every morning feelings lost not knowing what to do.
Her mind was runnning so fast that she couldnât keep up. The tears in her eyes were were blurring her vision as she took quick steps to the park.
It wasnât far. That was always her safe space. Everytime she would get overwhelmed or exhausted she would run away and hide behind the big old oak tree down by the river next to the park.
It was a little foggy, she couldnât see anything but Chanâs loud voice kept playing in her head until she heard a loud screech. She looked to the side but it was too late. A painful scream left her body as she watched the car crash into her body.
She didnât feel pain all she could hear was a ringing sound then a few sirens before everything went quiet.
**
â199 what is your emergency?â
âI-I crashed into someone, help! Please! I donât know what to do-â
âOkay sir is she breathing? I need you to calm down and tell me what happened,â
âY-yes sheâs still breathing, I- I was driving and she just stepped infront of the car, I donât know! It wasnât my fault,â he sobbed as panic was filling his chest.
He looked down at the frail body, blood was everywhere and yet he still didnât pass out. He tried to put pressure on the area that was bleeding the most but it wasnât working. Blood was still gushing out of her.
She looked familiar tho, he thought.
âSir, Iâve sent an ambulance. I just need you to keep breathing and tell me if she stops breathing. Keep your hand on the wound,â the dispatcher kept telling him over and over again.
âOh God this is a lot of blood. Please God, please donât let her die,â he whispered as he looked up at the car that was parked by them.
It felt like hours until he felt like who could breathe. He heard the sirens. They were here. The paramedics were finally here.
**
âCâmon Y/n please pick up,â Chan cursed at himself as he walked back and forth in the living room.
He was now in sweatpants and a hoodie. His hair wet from the shower.
When he had come downstairs he saw no sight of Y/n and at first he thought that maybe she had gone for a breather so he decided to do some work knowing that she wouldnât pick up his phone even if he had tried to call so he just chose to distract himself.
He felt guilty for the fight they had. It was chewing him alive but he knew it was his fault and he needed to make it up. As time kept passing by; 30 minutes turned into 2 hours.
He started to feel uneasy so he decided to try her phone but she wasnât picking. He called all the boys at the dorm asking if she was with them but they said they hadnât seen her then he called her bestfriend and she too hadnât seen her. Thatâs when the panic started to set in.
He called her phone over and over again while making sure to text her too. He rushed upstairs to grab his crocs and thatâs when he saw her phone on the night stand table.
âShit, Y/n,â he groaned and rubbed his eyes before grabbing his car keys.
He put on his crocs and rundown the stairs and thatâs when he got a call from his manager.
âWhat is it Soon-hoo, I canât really-â
âChan we need to get to the hospital now,â he said in a panic. Chanâs blood went cold as he could hear shuffling in the background.
âW-what is it? What happened?!â He managed to say.
âItâs Y/n Chan,â Chanâs senses came to a hold. Everyhting around him felt like it was moving in slow motion, âshe got run over Chan, Iâm coming to pick you up,â their manager said as he started the car.
All Chan could hear was a ringing sound as he stared at the blank floor. Tears running down his cheeks as his heart was beating faster.

â§MISUNDERSTANDING || percy jackson x fem!reader
summary: up above!
word count: 3393 (bruh i was aiming for like 1k not MF 3K WHAT IS THISSS MY THUMB HURTSâŠand im tired âčïž)
warnings: a bit of hurt reader and percy, miss communication, fluff and comfort in the end

y/n breathed heavily and steadily she made sure her feet were pointed and flexed to perfection. her arms being outstretched perfectly and her fingers pointed towards the walls of the studio her teacher, miss.yana, instructed her to finally move.
ânow! close your feet!âây/n did just so. as she held them together, unmoving she breathed steadily through her nose, making sure not to flex her face that would cause the whole class to restart.
she didnât particularly hate ballet, she loved it beyond measure. she loved it so muchâit was her motherâs favorite thing to do when she was young and when she had a small incident that stopped her from doing ballet all together, y/n promised her at the age of nine that she would continue her love for ballet.
and now here she was, four years later still doing ballet with a small collection of good metals at home to make her mother proud.
âopen feet! close, open feet! close!â the teacher shouted to the class. they all did just as she told with no hesitance and no mistake.
if there were anyâfrom anyone. that person would be the punching bag until next week. luckily y/n has never had to experience that, she made sure she was always perfect for the class, teacher, herself and her mother.
ârestâŠgood job today class, you are now dismissed. julia! make sure you keep stretching i saw slight hesitation in your leg stretches, if you need it checked out please get that down before next month.â
next month just so happened to be one of their important plays that would be watched by one of the most popular and well paid ballet teachers of all time in new york. she would be watching the class y/n so happens to be in to see who is most fitted for her privet class, and y/n had to make sure she was picked, she had to.
as y/n rested and walked over to her duffle bag that held all of her supplies, her friend maxine walked up to her. she always wore pink leg warmers and her hair in one of the tighter buns y/n had ever seen before.
âhey y/n! were you able to hang out tonight? me and rebecca were thinking we would do a small movie night at hers? we all get these cute little themed colored snacks and watch like, horror movies or something?â maxine smiled down at y/n who gave a tight lip apologetic smile.
âawh iâm sorryâŠmaybe we can reschedule on it? iâm supposed to be meeting percy todayâ y/n threw on her sweats and sweatshirt to match. her new shoes being simple brown boots and her hat on to cover her head from the windy weather outside.
maxine smile and awedââoh! you guys are so cute together in so jealous, i though youâd said he was studying abroad?â
yeah and by that she means some place far far away were humans canât even enter.
âyeahâŠbut heâs visiting today and we were going to see that new movie in theatersâ y/n smiled at maxine who nodded her head with a warm smile.
âawh! you two have fun okay? text me the details later!â as she walked away y/n waved her goodbye and made her way to the opposite door. leading her way out of the studio and right into to the sidewalk of new york city.
ăàšà§ă
when y/n got home she made herself known by yelling out to her parentsââmom, dad! iâm home!â she yelled. just then she quickly heard footsteps coming from the both of them as they smiled and hugged their daughter.
âmy sweet! how was practice? iâm so happy you got back safe i keep telling you dad here to get you a bike or a car! ah! was that nasty teacher mean to you today? huh?â her mom rushed to her side as her dad gave her a shocked look at what she said about the car and bike.
âyou didnât tell meââ
âshut up i did!â
ânuh-uh!â
âyes! yes (f/n) i told you a hundred times you were just always half asleep when i told youââ
âwh! well maybe if i werenât half asleep i would have knowââ
âokay guys! itâs okay iâm back! i donât need a car but i will like a bike? and no she wasnât mean today, i did pretty goodâ y/n praised herself as she set down her bag which was quickly picked up by her dad who went to put it in her room.
âawh thatâs good to here, oh! and what about you and percy? huh? you told me you two were going out tonight is that still on?â
âyes mom. iâm going to be leaving around five or six and back at nine like always, maybe heâll stay, maybe he wonât.â y/n shrugged as she was walked by her mom arm in arm.
âwell, iâll cut fresh fruit just in case, now i know your tired so go take a nice bath! get ready for your dateâ she sang while y/n felt her face warm.
âmom! donât say it like thatâ
âwell! i mean youâve been together for how long now?â
âtwo yearsââ
âtwo years! and you still get nervous! i still think itâs adorable donât worry, im sure he does tooâ she teased while y/n groaned and made her way to her room.
when she got there she immediately went to rush for her phone and unlocked it. her homescreen being her pet and lock being her and percy at the beach. she loved that picture so much, sheâs probably posted it about a hundred times over and over on her photo dumps.
going into her contacts she was quick to text her boyfriend, percy. hoping she wasnât interrupting him or anything.
âhey percy! i just got back from practice. everything going well at camp?â she texted. and almost immediately he responded.
âhey! yeah, everything is good, iâm getting my things packed for movie night, i should be getting to you pretty soon. miss me?â he teasingly sent making y/n turn off her phone for a second to smile with her hand over her mouth.
breathing out and unlocking it once more she texted himââof course i did, how could i not?â he hearted her message and replied quickly.
âwell donât worry i miss you just as much. iâll see you soon okay?â she heated his message as well and sent back a meme that he would always send her and closed off her phone.
deciding it was time to get ready she went to collect her bathroom things and started to get ready for her night.
ăàšà§ă
after about two hours of getting ready, listening to music and texting percy non stop, she finally saw it was time to leave the house. rushing to grab her purse and shoes she used down to the front door and made her goodbyes that consisted of hugs and kisses to and from her parents.
rushing out the front door, she signaled for a taxi which likely saw her and picked her up.
âwere to?â he asked
âthe movie theater pleaseâ
as y/n said that and the taxi driver started to move, she texted percy that she was on his way which she was left with a âseenâ.
strangeâŠfrowning her eyes bowed she kept the message open and waited for his response. he was usually really quick with this, never leaving her on seen nor delivered without a small warning beforehand of course.
âhmâŠâ she mumbled.
âweâre here!â he told y/n who looked up from her phone in a hurry and looked to the side to see the movie theater.
âoh, thank youâ paying him plus tip he smiled at her and said his bye which she did the same.
making her way out of the car and into the movies, she paid for the two tickets with the money percy sent her a few days prior, getting popcorn with her own money and some other snacks which was expensive as always.
looking down to see she was left on seen almost ten minutes ago, y/n double texted which she hated.
sending a small pic of the things she bought and the tickets that were next to the popcorn she held them all and walked to the movie room.
ăàšà§ă
sitting down into her seat she kept her focus on her phone, the big screen and the entrance of the movie room. hoping that one of the blondes that would walk in was her boyfriend who hopefully had a small explanation to leaving her hanging with the textsâŠtwice!
sitting back as the room became dark she decided it was time to call him. he said he was on his way? and she didnât mean to be obnoxious but she needed to know he was at least okay.
walking out of the room she called himâŠit rang. and rangâŠand rang.
then she heard his voiceââhey!â
âpercy where are youââ
âthis is percy and youâve reached my voicemail box. if i didnât pick up iâm either with my amazing girlfriend, slaying monsters or just sleeping, leave a message.â scoffing a bit at his voicemail she spoke.
âpercy im at the movies and i just wanted to know if you were okay? or if you're on your way? the movie started and i'm going to be watching this amazing movie without youâŠcall me back, please?â
hanging up and looking down at her phone and time she sighed and closed her eyes, ignoring the slight plained pit in her stomachs and heart she pushed it aside and walked back into the movie room.
sitting down and watching some of the movie she would occasionally look at her phone, the entrance. the screen. her phone, the entrance, the screen.
over, and over. until soon, without realizing it had been the end of the movie.
she still felt herself trapped in the endless loop she created for herself. her phone, the entrance and the screen.
soon enough she realized what she didnât want to think was true, he wasnât coming. he wasnât showing up once again.
this happened five times in the last five months on each date that was planned every five months.
pressing her body against the seat, she sighed and placed her hands on her face. letting out a shaky breath, y/n picked up her things and made her way out of the theater.
walking until the sidewalk of new york, she felt her phone vibrate.
picking it up in a hurry she saw percyâs name flash across the screenâshe answered.
âpercyââ
ân/n! listen im so so sorry! iâi lost track of time, i was set on a quest the second i was going to leave and iââ
âso what? the quests mean more than me? hanging with annabethââ
ây/n pleaseâŠdonât say that itâs not like that and you know it.â
âwell i sure feels like that percy! you stood me up! you left me alone again just like the picnic, the dinner, the fourth of july, my birthday!? percyâŠare your trying to tell me somethingââ
âno! y/n! no, itâno! stop what your thinking because it isnât true okay? pleaseâit isn't like that at all okay? i justâŠ.itsââ
âexplain to me percyâŠiâm listening.â as y/n stood on the side of the building she felt her eyes well up with a bit of tears as her grip on her phone tightened. her purse being clutched by her side.
âitâsâŠ.â
âexplain to me percyâŠplease.â she helplessly begged while holding the phone. on the other end, all she heard was a bit of noise and his breathing.
âiâi canât.â he mumbled. scoffing y/n threw her head back slowly while rolling her shoulders. trying not to embarrass herself by crying in the middle of the sidewalk.
âof course. bye percy.â
âwaitââ just as he said this she hung up and placed her phone in her purse. it vibrated, indicating someone was calling, seeing it might be her mom she looked and it was percy.
she didnât pick up.
ăàšà§ă
when she got home, y/n was met with a silent house. her parents were sleep and she was kind of happy with this. she could walk to her room with no trouble.
once she got their, she immediately broke down, her hands finding ways to her mouth to silence her cries, y/n shook her head a bit and bit her lip.
the pain in her chest grew and grew to which it felt like she couldnât breath.
was this his way of breaking up with her? was this is plan all along since she and him had to split? this whole time he was in campâŠhe couldâve been talking to someone else. this whole time.
sighing and crying a bit more she wiped her tears and breathed heavily, a shaky breath as she made her way to her closet and picked her pajamas.
after taking off some of her makeup, and putting her hair in a more comfortable up-do. she placed her phone on the bedside table and turned to the wall, her widow being slightly open to show the moons shine from space.
feeling her body shake a bit from her cries she suddenly heardâtik.
quieting down, y/n stopped and waiting just to hear anotherâtik, tikâone became two and two became four.
sighing she sat up and looked at her slightly ajar window to see there were small rocks being down at her window.
what kind of drunk is doing this so late at night? and why her window? and why on this day as of right now.
groaning she sat up and grabbed her bat to make sure bod is was handing from her window. stepping slow and close to her window she saw curls then a faceâwith a black hoodie on. screaming she went to swing her bat but was stopped withââoh my god! stop! stop! itâs me!â
stopping her movementsâŠshe knew that voice. placing the bat down and aggressively taking off his hoddie she saw it was percy.
âwhatââ
âi know i know, what are you doing here? why are you here? what do you want you pertinacious douchebagâi know but please? let me explainâŠplease.â he silently begged her as y/n firmly looked down at him. giving up as she saw his blue eyes, she placed down the bag completely and stepped beside it let him in.
once he was in he turned to her. y/n had her arms crossed and her face flat, filled and prominent with upset, hurt, anger and confusion. the slight previous look of tears in her puffy eyes made his heart sink.
âoh y/nâŠiââ
âwhy did you ditch me all those months? huh? i asked you and i will keep askingâŠif you canât give a reason at all and itâs related to your demigod duties i will respect that and leave it alone but please just tell me something? anything.â y/n hopelessly looked up into percy eyes who looked down at eyes and sighed.
placing his hand on her arms that were folded she let then loosen as he pressed his body against her own, embracing her with the warmth of her preciously covered body and his naturally warm one. she melting into his hind immediately and tested up again.
âis this you breaking up with me? i donât get it iââ
âi was trying to clear up my schedule to make it to your play next month.â he answered, finally.
pulling away immediately she looked into his sad eyes that watched her own as a small tear dropped.
âwhat?â
âyou were telling me for six months now about how important and exited you were for this big play so i worked and worked on many of my quiets that were already ahead of me to make sure none of them interfere with your play. i want to make there so i can see you dance, i know iâve been reallyâŠhorrible with being a boyfriend and making it to our dates and im so so sorry, half of it was planned and half of it was pure coincidence on being caught in a questâŠâ
âplanned?â she asked, eyes eyebrows turning up and he nodded.
âyeah plannedâŠi know how serious you and ballet are and i know your always stressed at being this perfect image for the world when in fact your always perfect and there isnât anything that canât make you ten times better than you already are. some of the dates i missed were meant to be missed like the picnic, and the ice skating rink and your birthdayâŠi was there, you just couldnât see me. and now that i think about it sounds creepy and weirdââ
âyeah it doseâ she laughed as he smiled.
âbut i didnât show up because i knew you needed the time to freely open up and relax. your picnic was what i made you, the food and stuff i made myself thatâs whyââ
âthatâs why some of the things were blueâŠâ she recalled.
âmhmâŠand your birthday?â
âa ocean view with blue ribbons around the napkins and flowersâŠbut why didnât you tell me?â she looked up in wonder.
âit would ruin your surpriseâ she shrugged while she tilted her head in a bit of confusion.
âmy surprise?â
picking up the bag that was set next to him that she failed to notice he handed it to her and she grinned up at him, a bit nervous he watched her open the blue bag. seeing another box, she opened it.
inside were his and her favorite blue colored ballet shoes. y/n smiled and picked them up immediately, placing the box and bag on her table, she looked at them and saw a small note inside.
in it was what saidâ
from here on out from all of my accomplished quested i have even granted a two year stay in new york with you, and for these two years i will stay by your side non stop to make up for my missed dates, and missed hugs and talks. your favorite â percy jackson.
looking up at him with teary eyes, she launched herself at him with her arms around his neck, y/n felt percy rub her back soothingly and she immediately spoke.
âoh my god iâm so sorry! i was so mean to you over the phone and i almost hit you with a bat! and i wa thinking of doing it anyway seeing who you were oh myâim so sorry percy oh my goshâ she squeezed him even tighter as percy laughed a bit and held her closer.
âitâs okay! itâs okay! i would to the same, i hoped you did so you would forgive me then baby me back to healthâ he revealed making y/n pull away and push him with a scoff.
he smiled at her and pulled her in by her hand, one of his other hands making their way to hold her face soothingly and pulling her in for a sweet kiss. he was always one for words and actions. smiling and melting into it y/n kissed back all untilâ
âwhoâs in here! my babyâwhat!â the two of them turned to see y/nâs mother and father holding bats only to immediately relax.
âpercy!â
âhi mrs.l/nâŠhi mr.l/nâ he shamefully waved at the two who rolled their eyes and let out a relieved sigh.
âmy godâpercy please. next time use the front doorâ he dad groaned as he went to walk away and back to bed only to feel his wife want aorund. turning to see her staring at the two with an adored face painted on her she awed.
âmy babies! look at youââ just then she was picked up and taken out of the room by y/nâs dadâher husbandââwait! i was just checking on them!â
âtheyâre fineâ he replied.
y/n smiled and covered her face with embarrassment as percy looked down at her and smiled as well, grabbing her hands and pulling them away from her face he kissed her once more.

Do I Know You? Part 12
Synopsis: You send Jason home, but heâs still worried about you.
Note: Last filler chapter for a minute. Reader and Jason have lost all sense of what normal platonic touching is but itâs fine.
Masterlist
Jason did stay another night. He had offered to sleep on the couch this time, claiming your bed was too small for the both of you. You had just rolled your eyes and said he would be sleeping in your bed with you, claiming that it would be like a sleepover (it gave you more sense of security if he was close). Secretly, he was grateful for your insistence. He hadnât slept the night before, like at all. He spent the night next to you worried something else would happen, despite knowing nothing would. You seemed worried about the same thing, mumbling in your sleep, face scrunching and relaxing randomly. You woke a few times, a terrible look of terror on your features. But Jason was there. Heâd pull you close, petting your hair and murmuring to you about how you were safe, and you would drift back off into a fitful sleep. Heâs not sure you even remember it.
He had checked in with the family first thing in the morning after he found his phone full of spammed text messages and phone calls. Mostly from Steph, shockingly. She seemed extremely concerned about you like you were friends. Thatâs when she told him that she had also been visiting you at work, a kinship forming from there. Sheâs not just yours Jason, you have to share, she had messaged in complaint. He scoffed at the statement but conceded with keeping everyone posted after that. He had one text from Bruce. We need to talk. No doubt about how the news was broadcasting that Red Hood was back in his murder phase.
After you had woken up, you looked worse for wear but less terrified. He enjoyed having you close, it seemed you need it just like him. You would relax against him, and he would stare at you, like a creep. You seemed less fitful in your sleep on the couch. He kept his touch on you, your legs, for your peace of mind, not his. At least thatâs what he told himself. Jason liked taking care of people, it's why he protected Crime Alley and the surrounding areas the way he did. Itâs what heâs known since he was young, with his mom. She was so out of it most of the time, what else could he do but take care of her? He likes to think that his mom (the one he rarely met when she wasnât hyped up on drugs) would have liked you.
At the close of the evening, only 7 oâclock, you dragged him to your room and shuffled into your bed, apologizing that you didnât have any clothes that would fit him more comfortably to sleep. He shook off the notion and settled on top of the covers like the night before. You were on your side watching.
âYou know you can sleep under the covers. I won't mind,â especially because you won't do anything. You add mentally because if Jason wanted something sexual from you, he wouldâve taken it last night when you were barely conscious of what was happening around you. You want him to be comfortable while you keep him trapped in your home.
âI donât want to make you uncomfortable, Sweetheart.â He crosses his arms as he settles on his back against his pillow. You think he almost looks like a mummy.
âJason,â your voice is stern in a way he isnât used to, âget under the covers.â Not a question, not an offer, but a demand. He glances over at you and finds a serious look on your face, no room for argument. It makes him smile. You had seemed out of it still throughout the day, but he was happy to see some notion of your old self showing. Your eyebrows lift like this is some challenge and who is Jason to say no to that? He shuffles under your covers, worrying briefly if heâs a blanket hog, or a bed hog simply because of his size. You donât seem worried about it all as you curl against him like you had the night before, holding his arm and pressing your cheek against his shoulder.
Then you start talking. You complained momentarily that you should have brushed your teeth before you had gotten into bed and apologized if it smelled like the Chinese you had ordered for dinner. Then you complained that you hadnât washed your face and done your skincare. Jason was about to offer to do it for you, but you kept going. You rambled on about the Gotham weather and how it sometimes felt bone-chillingly cold even in summer, and you thought maybe Gotham was cursed or haunted. You started talking about Jason, about how pleased you were that he liked romance movies and musicals. You would have to show him La La Land, even though that movie made you cry every time. You didnât say why it had made you cry but you cried when you had finished The Notebook earlier in the evening, so he didnât question it. Instead, you followed a tangent about how La La Land was a tragedy but not like Romeo and Juliet. Then you followed a tangent about Shakespeare.
The rest of the evening was like that. You would follow a random line of thought that would form into another and another. Your voice stayed soft, only speeding up and getting just a little louder if there was something that excited you before toning back down again. You would pause for a moment before going back to a thought you had left unfinished. He wondered if you were blocking, trying not to sleep out of fear of what you might find. He knew that feeling, woken up by nightmares of that stupid clown and dirt engulfing his lungs. If this gave you peace of mind, then it gave him some peace of mind. He liked your voice. The cadence of it, the way you lilted some words, and how some of them slurred as you got drowsier and drowsier. Soon enough, your pauses became longer until you stopped mid-sentence. He waited, thinking you would start back up again but after a while, you didnât.
He glanced down at where your face was pressed to his shoulder. At some point, your hand had moved from curled around his forearm to lacing it with his hand, he can feel your fingers twitch as you sleep. Your features were relaxed, lips parted slightly, soft even breaths escaping you. He leans over and presses a too long kiss to the crown of your head; your hand tightens subconsciously in his own. Jason decides to be selfish, just for tonight. He turns on his side to face you, carefully slipping your head from his shoulder to your pillow. He pulls the covers up and over both of your shoulders. His hand slides to your back and pulls you close. His other hand lightly pressing your face to his neck and he just holds you. A sigh escapes you and your arm slithers over his own waist, hugging in your sleep. Your warmth bleeds into Jason in a way heâs not used to.
You were right about Gothamâs perpetual cold, like a ghost breathing down your neck. But here, holding you like this, the cold didnât exist. Only warmth and deep breaths do. For the first time in years, Jasonâs body genuinely relaxes. Every alarm, trained into him by Bruce, the league, and his own self-preservation, shuts off. He just focuses on your breathing. In and out, in and out, steady. He presses another kiss on your head and makes an internal promise. He would tell you the truth, sooner rather than later. Heâd tell you everything, about Red Hood, about his feelings for you, even if it meant you would hate him. He was going to tell you but first, heâd wait for you to get back on your feet, back into a normal rhythm of life. With that thought and your body closed, Jason closes his eyes and falls asleep. Nightmares donât haunt him, only you.
Jason slept the hardest he had ever slept before. You woke up before him and he didnât even know it. Youâd like to say that you got up and piddled around your apartment, but that would be a lie. When you woke up, you were still pressed against Jason. You had somehow wrapped yourself around him like a deranged koala, or a squid. One arm haphazardly tucked under his head and wrapped around his neck, shoulder aching from the placement. Your other arm was wrapped around his waist, a leg thrown over his hips. You were quick to pull your leg back, feeling it was a little promiscuous should he wake. You take the opportunity to stare at him, closer than you usually would.
For the first time since youâd known Jason his skin was smoothed over, no worried wrinkles. He was relaxed and you hadnât realized how wound up he usually looked until this moment. Usually, he looked like he was carrying the weight of the world, and you donât know why or what caused it. You just know that it lightens when you can get him to laugh or talk about something he enjoys. Once you had asked Steph about it, sitting at her table one slow afternoon. She said it wasnât her story to share but that there was some serious trauma along with a mountain of familial issues that didnât help. You understood that having been there yourself. It's why you moved to Gotham in the first place. You never asked Jason about it because he never asked you what you were doing in Gotham. Your mind comes back to keep staring at him.
You get distracted staring at his lips longer than youâd like to admit, following the soft curve and pout there. Your thumb gently swipes over the small scar there absentmindedly, your hand already on his face without you realizing it. You feel a puff of air against your thumb, and you freeze as Jasonâs forehead crinkles for a moment before relaxing again. God, you were such a loser. Staring at him while he slept, touching his lips. You needed to get a grip, and it was not going to happen in this bed. You take your time to peel out of his hold, his grip on you stronger than you anticipated. You pause once your feet are on the ground, letting him reorient himself until he stops moving. Bodily functions are taken care of in the bathroom, and you move to the kitchen starting the kettle on the stove for some tea. You stand there staring at the kettle while you wait, ignoring the headache forming behind your eyes.
A surge of upset overtakes you as you set two mugs on the counter with your usual tea. With a moment alone, with your tea, you think about Red Hood. You know it's dumb, but you still feel right to be mad at him. Between the kidnapping, which was his fault, and his abandonment, you understand now that he couldnât have stayed, you think that anger is valid. But now, two days later, he hadnât checked on you at least. You know Jason had been here but there was no note or any sign that he had been on your fire escape. Youâll admit to waking up, sneaking out of bed, and standing by the window waiting. It wasnât for long, ten minutes, because you could cold without the space heater sleeping in your bed. He never showed himself. Â You thought he cared but now you were questioning everything about your strange friendship with the vigilante.
âTea?â a deep voice says. Your entire body flinches and for a brief moment you wonder if youâd summoned Red Hood by thinking about him but when you turn, you find Jason with a guilty look on his face.
âSorry, I didnât mean to scare you.â You press your hand to your chest, trying to make your heart slow down.
âYou're so quiet.â You say with a deep breath. You know you were kind of lost in thought but you heard the usual sounds of your apartment easily. The creaking of the fire escape, the whistle of air from the window thatâs not sealed right, and the whine of the ceiling fan. You hadnât heard Jason moving at all.
âPart of the job.â He says with a shrug. You nod even though that doesnât really make sense. What do security systems have to do with being quiet? The kettle starts to whistle. You turn off the heat and decide to ignore your usual tea habit for some hot chocolate. You put the box back into the cabinet and swap it for the box of hot chocolate. Once the hot chocolate is made you bring the mugs to the island. Jason is giving you a curious look.
âOh, Iâm sorry I shouldâve asked if you want tea instead.â You say guiltily. He shakes his head.
âItâs okay, I like hot chocolate.â He takes the mug. He doesnât drink it just yet only looks at you in that analyzing way.
âWhy do you do that?â you ask, curiosity getting the better of you.
âDo what?â he responds confused.
âLook at me like that.â
âLike what?â
âJason,â you say sternly. You think he knows exactly what you're talking about it. He innocently shrugs and picks up the mug. You see the start of a smirk as he brings the mug to his lips. You roll your eyes.
âWhatever.â You round the island to look at the papers left on your dining table, and you hear Jason shift in his seat.
âWhy do you have a cup of water on your window seal?â He questions. Your brows for furrow and you look up to see the cup heâs talking about. The real reason you had crawled out of bed in the middle of the night was because you were thirsty. Youâd stood by the window while you sipped on it.
âI was thirsty in the middle of the night.â You leave it at that. You hear him move and then see him out of the corner of your eye moving towards the window. He pauses and looks at your window locks for a minute before picking up the glass.
âYou shouldâve woken me up I would have gotten it for you.â He walks past you taking it to the kitchen.
âIâm not helpless you know.â Honestly, in your half-asleep state, you had forgotten Jason was there until you were climbing back into bed, snuggling up against him. Â Heâs standing next to you again when he speaks next, voice soft.
âI know youâre not, but it doesn't hurt to let someone take care of you.â
You donât look up from you skimming of the papers, but you feel a warmth in your chest.
âNext time I need a glass of water and youâre in my bed; Iâll be sure to wake you.â You say with a hint of a smile.
Jason's heart does a little jump at your statement. He knows you're being facetious about it but the idea that you would let him stay in your bed again⊠Itâs a nice thought, especially if it is under different circumstances. You look up from your skimming and meet his eye with a small smile. You look over his face.
âYou should go home.â You say softly. Jason's internal jumping falls to the ground. So, you donât want him here? Â You must see the confusion on his face because you put down papers you were reading to hold his face. You tip his head this way and that as your thumb swipes just above his jawline.
âYou're growing a beard,â you finally say, âNot that I think it would be a bad look for you, I just assume you donât like it.â Â Jason's own hand comes to feel at his skin. You were right, a coarse stubble where his hand is. Jason wants to laugh at your statement. The few times he hadnât shaved consistently, usually on a long mission with the outlaws, his alleged beard would grow out patchy and uneven. Not a good look like you apparently think. He had complained about it one time to Bruce (it was a weird family bonding activity that was unrelated to the conversation) and Bruce had said it was because Jason was still young, that in a few years it would even out. Jason feels your hands leave his face and he tamps down the urge to pull them back. Your smile sweetly at him making it easier to reign himself in.
âI canât keep you hostage forever.â You add. Jason does laugh at that; two days is hardly forever. You could keep him for a month and he wouldnât complain.
âAre you sure?â he asks, and you roll your eyes at him. He hadnât asked how you were feeling today but he got the feeling you might kick him if he did. You seem to be in higher spirits but your apparent venture in the middle of the night worried him. The window was unlocked, and it had to be because of you. He had checked every lock in your apartment before he let you drag him to your room the night before. The window had been locked. Nothing was out of place in the apartment, so not a break-in. Red Hood was him and he was already there, so that wasnât it either. You were the only option left. He didnât tell you that though.
âYou know, I have lived my entire life without you. I think Iâll be fine for a couple of days. Besides, youâve been wearing the same clothes for two days.â He glances at his current apparel. You had good reason to be concerned about that. They were part of his Red Hood suit and heâs thankful you hadnât made a connection yet. Black cargo pants and a black T-shirt. His armor and guns dropped at the garage he got the car from. His clothes werenât exactly clean when he picked you up at the warehouse, already sweaty from a few hours of patrol. And now two days later, yea, he should go home.
âFine, if you're kicking me out, Iâll leave.â You blink at him in disbelief, and a smirk works its way onto his lips.
âI am not kicking you out.â You say defiantly. Jason rolls his tongue between his teeth to keep from laughing. He puts his hands up in defense.
âOkay, okay, youâre not kicking me out, but I leave you alone. You let me know if you need anything, anything at all, okay?â he says. Your eyes widen and you shake your head.
âNo, not yet.â
âWhat?â
âStay til lunchâ you pause, eye imploring, âPlease.â Jason understands now.
âYou donât have to say please, sweetheart. Iâll stay for lunch.â You seem pleased with his response, nodding with a contented smile. The morning proceeds with you cajoling him into another movie and by noon you were both quietly eating leftover Chinese from the night before.
âYouâll call me if you need something, right?â Jason asks around some sweet and sour chicken. Youâre sitting at the island together, your ankle hooked around his.
âYou know, I think youâd make a great dad.â You say, while picking through your food for the perfect broccoli. Your statement throws Jason off-kilter and must show on his face because when you look up you laugh at him.
âI will let you know if I need anything, please donât worry about me. I get the feeling it might drive you crazy.â Jasonâs mind is still running through what you meant by your previous statement. A great dad? Was there a purpose in that statement? Were you thinking about him like that? He checks back in registering what you just said.
âYou're right about that.â Which is why he already had a plan ready for when he left your apartment. Heâs positive that the only reason youâre asking him to leave is because you feel guilty and that you're still not ready to be alone. So, he was going to make sure you werenât alone. The rest of lunch is spent quietly, feet randomly kicking at each other under the island. He attempts to wash the silverware youâd used but you stopped him, threatening to stab him with your fork. You drop the fork before he can concede in the battle of the dishes. A haunted look crosses your face for just a second before you hide it with a smile and start to shuffle him out your door.
Jason knew that look in an instant, he did not want to leave you alone for any amount of time. But he didnât want you to feel bad about keeping him here. You help him collect his things which amounted to just his phone. You do a quick scan of the hooks by your door, clearly searching for a coat he hadnât worn when he picked you up. A worried crease shows between your brows when your eyes settle on the Red Hood jacket next to the shock blanket. You glance between Jason and the jacket and just for a second he wonders if you know. Youâre smart, he wouldn't be surprised if you did, but then you shake your head and pull him into a hug.
Heâs a little startled but not as much as he would have been last week. The past two days of constantly touching each other in some manner made it easier for him to relax in your touch. His arms easily circle around your shoulders as he presses a kiss to the crown of your head without thinking. A pleased hum escapes you and you squeeze him a little tighter. You pull away just enough to see his face.
âThank you for everything, Jason, really.â He nods and watches your eyes; you look like youâre struggling with something, and he waits to see if youâll talk about it. After a few seconds of nothing, his hands moves. One squeezes at your shoulder and the other tucks some hair behind your ear, hand resting on your cheek. You lean into it just slightly.
âIf you need anything-â he starts, and you cut him off with a shake of your head.
âIâll call you. Stop worrying about me and go take care of yourself.â you pull out his hold and all he wants to do is drag you back. He stares at you, and you give him an insistent look back.
âI donât want to kick you out, but I will if I have to.â You say with a dramatic huff. Jason laughs at the picture that conjures.
âAlright, Iâm gone,â he unlocks your door and with one foot out he turns back and adds, âbut if you need-â
âGet out of my apartment!â You demand with a giggled screech. He grins at you and finally shuts the door. He waits, listening for you to lock it. Once you had he heads down the hallway to the elevator, pulling out his phone. In the elevator, he hits Stephâs contact. It rings for a few seconds and then loud voice rings through the speaker.
âIs she bored of you yet? I wanna see her.â Jason pulls the phone away from his ear with a wince. He doesnât answer her question.
âI need you to come stay with her.â
âSo, she is bored of you.â She exclaims
âStephanieâ
âJasonâ
He huffs, âPleaseâ
The line is silent for a minute and Jason wonders if the call dropped in the elevator when the doors slide open, and he steps out.
âYouâre really worried about her, arenât you?â she asks, quieter than normal. He wasnât ready to have this conversation.
âStephanie, will you come stay with her? She doesnât need to be alone.â
âDoes she know youâre asking?â Jason sighs already tired of this back and forth as he pulls a ticket off of the parked borrowed car. (Bruceâs Problem)
âNo, and sheâs not going to find out I asked.â He tells her.
âIâm going to bring Cass with me.â
âStephâ Jason grumbles as he slides into the car.
âIt would be weird if it was just me showing up at her apartment, trust me. Itâll be a girl's night.â
Jason sighs again, âJust promise to take care of her?â
âPromise. This going to be so much fun!â Steph must end the call cause the line goes dead. Jason wonders for a moment if this is a good idea, but he doesnât have a lot of options and you didnât need to be alone.
Additional note: Shout out to the lovely person that talked about Jason actually getting good sleep. I loved it and I think its going to become a reoccurring thing for both of them. The next chapter is all Steph and Cass and some conversations about the family our girl has not had with Jason. She is going to basically be adopted into the family, itâll be great. Thank you for reading. Please comment!! The good, the bad, and the ugly are all welcomed.

IV. A CHANGE OF SCENERYâŠAGAIN - ALEXANDRIA
When you were introduced to the prospect of a change of scenery, you didnât expect it to be like home. Alexandria was huge. It wasnât simply a âchange of scenery,â it felt like a different world from the one youâve been living in just a few hours ago.
No blood-stained fences, no corpses stabbed to the head thrown away haphazardly across the streetsâŠÂ
You were damned convinced it was a new world altogether. From a couple of steps away, Daryl observed your eyes darting from one neat detail to the next, fascinated by this neighborhood before you.
He stepped forward to say something nice, maybe something along the lines of, âHowââ
You look up at him, curious as to what he has to say. But he stands there frozen, looking as if he was about to say something heâd been debating on saying. He settles for a nod your way, shrinking back to where he stood. You gave him a tight-lipped smile in response.
Daryl sighed to himself, shifting his attention to his crossbow, not knowing what to do with either. Great job, dumbass.Â
Back in Terminus, Darylâs only concern was you. Once upon a time, Daryl thought that the worst thing in the world was being liked by you. He was proven otherwise.Â
The worst thing in the world was having you be mad at him. He couldnât look out for you, couldnât keep you safe. You wouldnât let him.Â
The entire walk to Alexandria, you spent it with everyone but Daryl. You mostly hung around with Tara, happy to provide her company seeing that she didnât know what to do with herself either.Â
â[Y/N],â Rick called as he stepped out of the door to Deannaâs home. âYouâre up.â
Daryl spared a glance your way, hoping you would at least look his way so he could assure you with something as minimal as a smile. You didnât.Â
After all, you had every right not to.
He recalls the last time you snapped at him. It was in Gabrielâs church, when you decided that you wanted to come along with Abrahamâs group.Â
âYouâre out of your mind,â he had said just as youâre about to get on the bus, your hands keeping the door from closing. âThereâs no guarantee that Washingtonâs safe. You should stay here.â
âFor what?â you hissed, challenging him to say something. Daryl had thought of what Beth told him. But now wasnât the time. So he let you go that time. Glenn looked away as you took your seat just to look out the window where you wouldnât be watched by Daryl as the bus drove off.
No one said a thing as you cried yourself to sleep during the trip.
Thatâs why up to this day, Daryl still couldnât find the right words to say and the right way to say them. First, he had to find the right timing.
Except that the right timing was tricky to find. You were always speaking to someone, getting all friendly with everyone. The way you fit right in shouldâve been enough to make him doubt his intentions again, but he wouldnât let that same mistake get to him.
Once the Alexandrians finally left you alone, Daryl made his way to you, trying not to attract any of the people to him as he did.
It was the first time he saw you in a dress, the first time heâd ever seen you neatly groomed.Â
Daryl didnât prefer any version of you, he just wanted you. He didnât care if you were in a dress or blood-stained cargo pants. He found you beautiful nonetheless. Heâd always felt that way, he just didnât want to unload any of his feelings.
He shouldâve.
Alas, the right timing was a bust again when a fine looking gentleman came in to talk you out of boredom. Daryl halted in his tracks, a sinking feeling in his stomach coming in when he noticed something about the guy.
âPrim and proper, clean-shaven, wears an authentic watch, bothers to use cufflinks, gets a neat haircut often, works in corporateâŠâ
Daryl eyed his hair. Neat haircut? Check.Â
âI like them worthy of an introduction to the fam, yâknow?. The kind of guy who I could brag about to them shamelessly! The guy who would do well in the role of a sweet, loving husband and father and all that crap in a suburban home.â
He wondered if you could recall how you described it to him. He should be leaving now, running away, accepting that this is what you wanted.Â
Daryl kept thinking of his conversation with Beth back when they were the ones left together, how he feared heâd lost you forever. How he told Beth that he wishes heâd told you how he really felt about you. How he shouldâve never let you go when he kissed you, and that the only regret he had was that he even thought of pulling away.
âTell her,â Beth had urged him back then.Â
It was easier said than done.Â
Daryl couldnât seem to bring himself to function when he finds you about to look his way. Everything happened in slow motion.Â
He caught sight of Carol and Tara approaching his way, heading for the doorway he was stationed right next to. Just in time, he gets a hold of them and he asks them about what they think of Alexandria.
You had seen him in your peripheral vision, and you hated that you felt disappointed that he wasnât walking over to talk to you. You stared at the archer for about two seconds while the man spoke.
Daryl appeared to be deep in conversation with two of your group membersâCarol and Tara.Â
Youâd been waiting for him to reach out to you, talk to you. You were waiting for an apology, hoping heâd eventually find the words he wanted to say so you could finally move on.
But it looks like heâs just as nonchalant as you knew him. Maybe it was for the better. And you didnât mind talking to a charming guy like Spencer, unaware that three of your friends were listening in.
âYou know, Iâm surprised.â He leaned against the wall, a bottle of beer in hand as he gave you a kind smile. âI didnât think youâd be easy to talk to.â
You rolled your eyes at the guy. âWhy, âcause Iâve been with the dead for too long?â
âNo, itâs not that,â he said, feigning thinking to himself by tapping his finger on his chin. âI got it.â
You laughed. âOh, yeah? Then what?â
âBecause I thought a pretty girl like you would have another guy tied to your waist by now.â Spencer was a devious flirt, and you were in for it. âI mean, there isnât anyone, is there? Iâd hate to be that guy.â
Darylâs thoughts froze even while he pretended to be nodding at whatever it is that Carol and Tara were pretending to be saying.Â
They were just as busy listening into your conversation, only making feign chatter so as to not have you on their trail.
Carol and Tara watched Daryl, preparing themselves for how he would take whatever it is you were about to say.Â
âNope,â you confessed. âThereâs no one. Plus, Iâm not interested in anything at the moment.â
âWhy not?âÂ
âBecause chivalry is dead.â You shrugged.
He chuckled. âIs that so?â
âMhm, and so is romance. It died along with everyone else.â
âSo, itâs still alive.â
âRight!â you chuckled.
âYou must be fun at parties,â he quipped, an effortless stance in his gait.
âWell, you think Iâm hilarious.â There was doubt that he was a smooth talker, but you did not know yet.
âSpencer!â he delightfully said, extending his hand to you. To Darylâs badly disguised dismay, you shake it. âSpencer Monroe.â
âMonroe? Why do Iâyouâre related to Deanna Monroe?â
âI see youâve met my son!â On cue, Deanna stops by in front of you and Spencer, delighted at the sight.Â
The three of your friends noted how well you fit into this life, and that same onslaught of self-doubt crept up to Daryl.
Maybe you suited this life better. . .
But he knew Spencer was a bust, that this was only his facade, exactly like the guys you said you used to date.
âHi! Yeah, I was just about to introduce myself to him, actually.â
The older woman smiled. âThereâs no need for that, heâs watched your introduction one too many times already!â
âHas he now?â
âI might have,â he confessed.
A couple of steps away stood Daryl, who was now dead silent. Daryl wondered if you had told Tara something, but she looked just as confused as to why they were bothering listening into the conversation.
It goes on like that for a while, ending with Deanna inviting you over for dinner sometime within the week. Almost as if you were her sonâs girlfriend already.Â
As soon as Deanna left to entertain the rest of the guests, Carol and Tara could only watch in confusion as Daryl absentmindedly slipped away from them to approach you, not a single thought or plan in his head on how he would even start the conversation.
He grabbed you by the arm with no warning. You yelp in response, confused and slightly furious. The fuck does he want now?
âDaryl!â you exclaimed. You turned to Spencer as you tried to minimize your temper. âSorry, heâs had too much to drink.â
He hasnât. Heâd never been thinking more clearly than ever before. âNah, I didnât. In fact, this is the first time Iâm thinkinâ clearly.â
âIs everything alright?â Spencer asked, his eyes on the man he also assumed was intoxicated. Daryl hadnât even sipped any drink. âThereâs more food, if you need some.â
He shook his head. âNah, mâgood. Just needa talk to my friend âbout the mattress we gotta bring down from the upper bedrooms to downstairs.â
âSounds like matters best talked about after a party rather than during one,â said Spencer politely, but there was a threat in it somewhere.Â
âItâs urgent.â
âWell, this is the time for your group to talk to everyone else other than yourselves! And I think she wants to stay.â
You couldnât butt in, busy racking your mind on why the fuck Daryl Dixon decided to bother you during this specific moment.
Daryl glared at Spencer. âWhy donât we let her decide?â
âWhat?â you blurt out, returning from your dazed state. âDecide what?â
âDaryl hereâDid I get that right? Daryl here wants your help with moving bed cushions from upstairs to the living room. I, on the other hand, think everybody will be happier just enjoying the gathering as of present.â
âIâŠâ
You felt Darylâs eyes on you this time, almost pleading. It was so quick, you thought youâd imagined it. But it was there. But if he had no issues denying your pleas, then denying his this time shouldnât be a problem, either.
âActually, I think we can talk about the⊠Mattresses later.â A couple of months ago, you wouldnât have been able to imagine saying âNoâ to Daryl, much less outright reject him for any reason. âYou should just go do whatever you want for a while.â
Ouch.
Spencer was a master at holding a friendly atmosphere around him, but Daryl could recognize the sinister intentions in his eyes. He didnât know what it was, but it was there. He looked at you again, hoping you could see through the guy in front of you.
He wanted to ask you if this is what you really wanted, but his reasoning returned.Â
âAlrighâ then,â was all he said before leaving the house. You couldnât help but feel a little guilty about not saying anything else, but you were also satisfied to get back at him. He deserved it.
He did though, right? Youâve been waiting for him to talk to you, to apologize or to confess, anything. So many times when you were left alone, it was easy for him to approach. And yet he never did!
Itâs over, just like it should be.Â
Carol followed Daryl outside, looking for answers.Â
She watched as he hoisted himself on his bike, ready to leave again. âYou like her, donât you?â
âWhat does it matter?â he said, getting off just to catch a cigarette break while speaking with his friend. âShe made it pretty clear itâs over, whatever it is.â
âNo, she didnât,â Carol argued, her arms crossed. âThe problem with you is that you take maybes for final answers and final answers for maybes.â
He looked up after lighting his cig. âWhaddya mean?â
â[Y/N] tells you many times she likes you, she stops when she realizes itâs going nowhere, you give her motive so she pursues you again, itâs⊠You have to understand why sheâs frustrated, where sheâs coming from. Sheâs a woman after all, she knows her worth. Which is why itâs disappointing having it worn out.â
âShe tell you anythinâ?â
âNo, never,â Carol said honestly. âAlthough, she used to be vocal about how she felt about you. Thatâs probably just what sheâs been waiting for for a long time. Sheâs just waiting for you to change, but youâre taking so long and youâre so inconsistent that she eventually got tired.â
âHuh,â Daryl said thoughtfully. âThanks, Carol.â
It wasnât just Carol he seeked advice from. He traipsed from one person to the next, hoping to find an answer he wasnât seeing. An easier solution. The next person who was lucky enough to run into him in the morning was Glenn, just getting out of the second house provided for their group.
âHeya, Glenn, whaddya think of that Spencer guy?â
âWhoâs that again?â he asked.
âDeannaâs son. The oneâerâ[Y/N] was talkinâ to.â
âOh! I dunno, I never really got to meet him properly. Saw him kind of flirting with Sasha, though.â
âYou did?â he asked excitedly, thrilled to have intel. Glenn had to laugh.Â
âAre you jealous?â Glenn asked.
Daryl ignored the question. He wasnât. He thinks. He wasnât sure. MaybeâŠ? âShe ever told you anythinâ when yer group was supposedly on the way to Washington?â
Glenn thought back to that day, trying to find ways he could help out. âNo, but she was cryinâ during the first few minutes. Then she was⊠Okay? I guess? Like nothing happened, yâknow. Why?â
Daryl was already walking back home. âNothinâ, thanks.â
The next one was Tara, whom Daryl caught just getting out of the same house Glenn came out from. It was still around six in the morning. The poor girl had puffy eyes, having just woken up, and the curious little archer just had to bombard her with questions as he walked with her.
âSo you and [Y/N] were with each other on the way,â Daryl started. âDid she⊠Maybe say anythinâ at all?â
Taraâs face scrunched up, thinking. âAbout you?â
âWell, Iâit ainât like that, I justââ
âShe didnât, bro.â Tara shrugged, yawning while she scratched at her neck. She halted. âLook, if this is about last nightâs party, I didnât even know the two of you wereâ â Tara made a kissing gesture with her two handsâ â âyou know? I mean, I sensed you guys had some history, but she never told me anything. She just kept me company.â
Though Daryl decided just the night before that your anger towards him was the worst thing he could ever live to experience, he felt worse knowing you didnât care enough to feel anything towards him. He could settle for anger.
âWhat am I gonna do now?â he asked himself quietly, but Tara still managed to hear it.
âI dunno, man. Maybe you need to change? Most of the time, in relationships, the reason one person starts to lose interest is because thereâs something that the other guyâs doing theyâre not happy about, soâŠâ
Daryl waited. âSoâŠ?â
Tara groaned, rubbing at her eyes. âSorry, Iâm not really the best person to ask these kinds of things. Maybe try Aaron? Seems like a wise dude.â
âHe ainât around, heâs out. I need advice, as in for somethinâ I could do as soon as possible.â
âErm, talk to her?â
Daryl shook his head, carefully considering his options. âNah, nah, thatâs not it. Thanks, though.â
He pats Tara on the back and prepares to leave, but he halts in his tracks. âAlso, whatâs that âya said âbout suspecting that we uhâŠâ
Tara made the same kissing gesture with her hands, but this time with a question on her face.Â
âYeah, yeah, that.â
âI dunno, I didnât think too much of it before because I was new to the group. But now that I think of it, you guys were pretty obvious with how you felt about each other. Maybe itâs just me.â
âObvious how?â Daryl interrogated.
âThe way you guys stared at each other when the other wasnât looking? Like, back at that barn?â
He felt heat rush to his cheeks at the thought of you watching him whenever he wasnât looking at you. âSheâ?â
âI donât know. Listen, youâre a cool guy. I like you, youâre strong, crossbow, cool, strong, and all that but I just need to take a walk right now.â
âOh, right, mâsorry, thanks for the talk.â
One would think that was the end of it. That is, until he got home and caught poor Rick just coming out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist.Â
âHey, Rick, say, I like a girl, righâ?â Daryl started. Rick stood in front of the bathroom door, dripping wet on the floor. Daryl was blind to hints now thanks to you. âWhat if, say, the girl I like, and the guy I donât like, got together? And it was all âcause of me, I guess, but itâs âcause I didnât think I deserved the same girlââ
â[Y/N]?â asked Rick, to which Daryl pressed his finger to his mouth, signaling Rick to keep it quiet in fear that youâd wake up next door.
Rick Grimes counted with his fingers at Daryl, who listened concerningly well. âNumber one, I know you like her. We all do. Donât give me that look. Number two, we all know she likes you, sheâs made that clear. You never make anything clear. And number three, I need you to go downstairs and have some breakfast and that Iâd appreciate an ounce of my privacy and maybe even my dignity. I need to change.â
âOh, righâ,â Daryl said, bewildered to realize heâd just interrupted Rick who had just gotten out of the shower. He then hurriedly ran downstairs to get himself a glass of water.
Carl was sitting on the couch, reading a comic book.
âHey, Carl?â Daryl asked.
Carl turned around from his comfortable position on the couch, his brows raised in question.Â
It was there that Daryl realized how crazy heâd gotten, even about to ask a child for love advice. Whatâs gotten into him? âYâknow what? Nevermind.â
After drinking a glass of water, Daryl stepped out of the house to feel the breeze of the morning air. Daryl didnât realize he misheard the last sentence Rick told him. He thought Rick told him to change, opening this whole door of realizationâthere was a pattern, he thought.
Carol, Glenn, Tara, and Rick have all urged him to change. And he was gonna. Daryl Dixon finally understood, finally knew what he had to do. It all made sense, really. You said it yourselfâwhat you wanted. And you were gonna get it tonight.
âHey, Rick!â he called from the bottom of the stairs. â"I needa borrow something from ya later! I just gotta run some errands out.â
ïž”âżïž”âżïž”âżïž”âżïž”âżïž”âżïž”
You awoke after sleeping for around three hours, feeling the need to visit the restroom. Half asleep, you got out of your bed to use the restroom. Youâre surprised to find that it was locked. You try again.
âRick?â a voice called. Pressing your ear against the door, you could hear water rushing. It was the shower. âI ainât done yet!â
âDaryl?â you called.
â[Y/N]? Sâthat you?â he asked. The shower stopped abruptly.Â
âAre you taking a shower?â you asked, a smile forming on your face.
âYeah, I am.â
âReally?â
âFuck you,â he said in response. âAlso, you can, uh, use the toilet if ya need to go.â
âWhat?â you asked with a laugh. You really needed to go, though. âWould that be fine?â
âErmâyeah, sure. Hearinâ you piss is a walk in the park compared to when ya puked all over me, anyway.â
You laughed. That already feels way too long ago. . .
âIâll unlock it, then Iâll tell you when you can come in.â
You scoffed. âYou better not be flaunting your nether regions when I get in, Dixon.â
âFucker.â You heard shuffling from behind the door, then a click from behind the doorknob. âCome on in. Iâll turn the shower on so I canât hear yourâŠâ
âPiss?â you added as you came inside. He turned the shower on as he continued on with his bath. âPlease, itâd be music to your ears. Walk in the park, right?â
âShuddup.â
While you answered natureâs call, you looked at the mirror. Then your eyes fell to the sink, finding some wet crumpled tissues. You stifle your laugh, resisting the urge to tease him about the wet tissues. You did your business, flushing afterwards.
âIâm gonna go now,â you said. Daryl merely grunted in response.
Just as you left the bathroom, you caught sight of a razor with cream by the edge of the sink.Â
Once you were back in bed, you told yourself you were going to sleep, unaware that you were waiting for Daryl to finish just to hear his footsteps go down the stairs. You think of that time in the Greene farm again. Then the time in CDC. Then⊠everything.Â
No. You didnât want to think about it anymore. Spencer was good. To you and for you. But you felt as if he was only showing you a fabricated facade. But you wanted to like him so bad. You liked talking to him, but that was it. What you felt for Spencer was what you thought was what you felt for Daryl back at the Quarry.
Now, you knew what you felt for Daryl was more than just that. And it pained you that he didnât feel the same. As your memories together flashed in your mind, you shook it off to will yourself to sleep.
The following morning, you looked for Daryl, disheartened to not find him anywhere. More so when you checked the garage to find that heâd brought along with him the bike Aaron had given him.Â
Heâs avoiding you again, you thought to yourself. After all, thatâs what he always did. So running into Daryl today was out of the question.
The one you did run into, though, was Spencer Monroe.
You had to hit yourself internally when you found yourself disappointed at the prospect of spending another moment with him.Â
You donât know why it was so difficult to attach yourself to him, really. He was practically perfect in so many ways and yet⊠He wasnât Daryl. Nobody was Daryl. You could try to hide these feelings of yours in all the drawers and compartments back at home, but itâll always manage to find you and haunt you.
Today, in every single second you spent with Spencer, you always found your mind lingering on being with Daryl. It was a disease at this point, consuming you wholeheartedly. And by the time Spencer walked you back to your home come nighttime, youâd made up your mind.
When you turned around to face him after taking one step on the porch, he knew too.
âItâs not happening, isnât it?â he asked with a friendly smile. He probably saw the apology in your face, as well as the way you spoke with him throughout the entire day. âI get it. Itâs because of that guy, isnât it?â
âWhat?â you asked, still burying your feelings within you. âNo, itâsâŠâ
â[Y/N], itâs fine. This was fun while it lasted.â He extended his hand to you again in surrender. For the second time, you shook it.Â
âIâm sorry,â you told him. âItâs⊠It goes way back.â
Spencer gave you a warm smile, already coming to terms with the end of your time together. âIâll see you around, [Y/N]. Though, youâre really gonna break my poor old paâs heart once he finds out.â
âOh, damn, really?â you asked with a laugh. âTell him I love him.â
âWill do, will do.â And then Spencer was gone, leaving you alone on the porch of the house. You made your way back upstairs to take a shower. It felt monotonous. You understood where Daryl was coming from, why he was always outside.
You missed the thrill of being outside, not knowing what would come next. It just annoyed you to the bone that the universe gave you the supposed thrill of not knowing to you and Daryl.Â
The minute you sat in your bed after getting dressed, you felt an all too overwhelming feeling of doom closing in on you. You settled for spending your time on the couch, reading all the old magazines to pass time. A loud rumbling in the sky shook you awake while you were about to doze off to sleep.Â
It was raining. Daryl still wasnât home yet, and you found your mind racing with all the possible troubles he could have gotten himself into. You still havenât moved on from him and that one instance in the ravineâŠÂ
No, no. He was fine. You had to believe he wasâ
A knock. Then thunder.
You yelled in shock, dropping the magazine you were holding. You hoped you didnât wake the house up. You rushed to the door, hurriedly swinging it open.
Nothing, and as in nothing could have prepared you for what stood in front of you.
âPrim ân proper,â the figure started, âclean-shaven, wears a⊠Well, itâs a watch for sure. Couldnât find any cufflinks. Got a neat haircut, at least the best I can do. I hope the corporate part of yer criteria is up for reconsideration because⊠Ya get it.â
Mr. Daryl Dixon.
In front of your door, wearing a clean button-down shirt tucked into a neat pair of black slacks completed with a leather belt. Under a neat vest, he wore a necktie, albeit a little cluttered, but a necktie nonetheless. He wore black dress shoes and in his hands, he carried a small brown suitcase.
âGood thing we share the same family now, âcause I sure as hell ainât the kind youâdââ
âHoly shit,â you blurt out, in disbelief. You didnât know if you wanted to laugh or⊠Well, you definitely wanted to laugh. And you did, so did he. âAre you my attorney or something?â
But it wasnât his attire that threw you off. It was his hair and his face. It was the first time you saw Darylâs face clearly. The first time that his mole stood out as a mole and not just as part of whatever gunk he had all over his face.Â
His jaw was neatly shaven, too. And you thought of the razor in the bathroom the night before. Thatâs what it was about. You were relieved to say the least, but youâd tell that to him some other time.
âWhaddya think?â
His hair, on the other hand, was trimmed enough for his face to be the center of attraction. He definitely had the most captivating eyes, but you already knew that long before this. Daryl was a little wet from the rain, but it didnât destroy the new look heâd fabricated for himself.
âIâThe fuck did you do?â you asked, eyes bewildered in shock.
From behind you, Rick came down the stairs while brandishing his gun. âHandsâDaryl? Is that you?â
The archer froze. You couldnât help but keep your eyes glued on him, still adjusting to his new look. Rick Grimes seemed to be just as dumbfounded as you, dropping his gun to his side. Â
âRick, Iâ!â You watched as the archer, who now looked like a total stranger, panickedly stepped closer to let you step out so he could close the door shut as soon as possible. âAlright, [Y/N], letâs talk outside. Just here on the porch.â
You didnât know what to say, so you just obliged. Rick just stood there at the stairs, still in shock. Almost as if he was literally frozen.
By the time it was just the two of you out on the porch, you laughed out loud.
âSome look you got there,â you teased.
âI try my best,â he said. âYa like it?â
You shake your head in disbelief, looking him up and down. âSeriously, what⊠Whatâs up with you?â
âSee, I⊠I talked to our friends. And I thought âbout what ya said and I put two and two together and I realized that I shouldâve been what ya wanted me to be andââ
âHold up, what I wanted you to be?â you clarified. âDaryl, you still donât get it. Why canât you get it? Justâwhy?â
You wanted to be mad at himâyou were! It was just hard to stay that way when you feel like youâre at the precipice of laughing everytime you look at him. You take a deep sigh.
âI never needed you to be anyone else, alright? The thing I told you that was my type long ago, that was just it. A type. And it was all because I wanted to impress my parents.â You started to feel the anger return, bubbling inside you. âFuck, Daryl! Iâve been nothing but clear with you what I wanted! All I ever wanted was you, and all you did was just confuse me! You didnât need to do all this.â
â[Y/N] ââ
âNo! Youâre gonna let me finish! I hated that you kissed me and then you took it back. I hated that you never even tried to talk to me before we got here. I hated that you never let me move on.â
âItâs âcause I never moved on from ya. And I hated seeinâ you with that prick.â
âFuck you!â you yelled, walking away from him. Furious, you feel your feet moving of their own accord, leaving the house to face the unforgiving rain.
â[Y/N], stop! I ainât lettinâ ya catch a cold. Are ya nuts?â he yelled after you, leaving behind the suitcase heâd brought along with him.
âAm I nuts?â You faced the now properly groomed archer. âIâm not the one who changed who I am for someone I say I care about when really all they ever wanted was assurance!âÂ
If you were stubborn, Daryl was obstinate. âSo, what, yer gonna marry him or somethinâ?â
âFor your information, I cut it off with him! Because of you!â
ââCause of me?â
âYes, because of you.â The one thing to thank the rain for was that it was hard to tell which drop on your face was from the sky and which one was from your eyes. Unfortunately, Daryl was a master of telling them apart. âEverything I did was for you, and you just keep missing the point!â
âMâsorry,â he said, pulling you into that same damned embrace youâve always been craving. He held you against his body, his arms wrapping around you. âIâm so sorry, Iâm sorry, Iâm sorry.â
You wept against his chest, beating your fists against his chest, trying to get away. But he held you like that for a while. And the next second, your lips were on each otherâs once more. The rain soaked your clothes and his.Â
This time, you pulled away. âDaryl, I never needed you to be someone else. Canât you see? Iâve only ever wanted you. Your long, untamed hair, your stubble, yourâjust all of you. Iâm sorry you ever felt like you had to change. You never had to. I just needed you to beââ
âTo be sure âbout âya,â he finished your sentence, nodding. For the first time, Darylâs mind was clearer than how the skies would be once the rain comes to pass.
You nodded.Â
The rain poured down on the two of you, but it made the scene worth the wait, worth the back and forth.Â
âYa did nothinâ wrong, alrighâ? I⊠Iâs just an idiot, Iââ
You pressed a finger against his lips and asked him, âIf I let you kiss me again, do you promise to not take it back?â
âI just caught ma hair off for âya, sunshine. Sâlook like I plan on takinâ anythinâ back?â Daryl smiled as he leaned forward, but you resisted. Confusion took over his face, his shoulders slumping, dejected. âSâmatter?â
âActually,â you said, reeling yourself for the confession, âI kinda had the hots for the hair. And the, uh, the stubble. And⊠Everything?â
âOh,â he uttered. You were on the verge of apologizing. âThank God. I âdun really know where Iâm gonna get any more of these shirts, Iââ
This time, you were the one who pressed your lips against his, hoping it was enough.
Enough to tell him you loved him just as Daryl Dixon.
Rugged and unconventional, sports a stubble jaw, wears a crossbow instead of a watch, favors a leather vest over unnecessary cufflinks, grows his hair out, loves to huntâŠ
You liked your menâ No. You loved Daryl Dixon as Daryl Dixon, never not worthy of being bragged about to anyone and everyone. Daryl Dixon whoâd do well in whatever path you decide to choose together, as long it was with each other.
The rain eventually came to a stop once you pulled away from each other, and you couldnât help but laugh once more.
âWhat did I tell you, Dixon?â you jab at him. âNever say never.â
âCâmon, letâs get âya washed up, yer gonna get sick if âya let that sit.â He pressed a kiss against your cheek, and when he returned to face you, you were met by the sweetest smile that has ever graced his face. Somehow, you knew youâd be seeing more of that smile from that moment on.
On the way back to the house, you asked him to wait while he stood on the porch. You bent down to scoop a little bit of soiled dirt with your hands. âWait, I need to see something.â
Grinning, you wiped a little bit of mud on his face. Daryl was scowling, acting all tough, but thatâs just Darylâroutinely accustomed to holding a tougher front. You saw through it, and you were willing to wait until he was able to take it off for good.
âNow thatâs Daryl.â
âShould I be flattered or offended?â Daryl asked.Â
âI still need to spell things out for you?â you jokingly asked him. You took it back the moment you saw him getting flustered. âIâm kiddinâ, idiot. Flattered. You should be flattered.â
âI knew that,â he answered. Before you could get to the door, he made sure he got there first, his hand on the handle already. âI got this for âya.â
âWait, before you open it.â
âMhm?â
You pointed towards the suitcase heâd dropped on the floor moments before. âWhatâs in that?â
âOh!â With his memory refreshed, Daryl jogged over to the suitcase to pick it up. Daryl opened the suitcase to reveal two packs of chocolates. âCouldnât find any more, just found this in the minifridge of a car parked a couple of miles from here.â
You didnât know what to say. You were sure you didnât need the shower anymore, you were already warmed up by everything heâs done already, but you knew heâd pester you to clean up so you wouldnât get sick.
You stepped forward, no longer resisting the ever present urge to kiss him. You press a soft kiss against his cheek in gratitude. âThank you.â
Smiling, Daryl clasped the suitcase shut for now and returned to his position by the door, his hand ready to open it for you.Â
âYou really have to do this?â you asked him.
âEvery door ya gotta open, Iâm openinâ all of âem for ya.â At that moment, he swung it open.
âAnd here I thought chivalry was dead.â To your surprise, Rick was still there at the stairs, sitting on one of the steps, staring blankly at nothing.
âHey, man,â Daryl called. The same look of confusion flashed in Rickâs eyes upon getting a good look at Daryl again. âYa should go to bed now.â
âNo, yeah, rightâŠâ
And Rick was off walking back upstairs to bed, and you waited until the door shut upstairs before you and Daryl laughed.
âJust you wait until Glenn and Tara get to see your new look,â you told him. âYouâre gonna be the hot topic for the next three weeks.â
You were right.
And just like that, Daryl Dixon was yours, just as you were his.

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 141 (Safe and Sound?)
Ash's family, friends, and pets rejoiced over his safe return to a brisk Brindleton Bay - where it still would not stop snowing. Gord followed Ash like a guard. Hazel, who'd been watching Lavender with Heather and Conrad in Sulani, warmly embraced her nephew when he raced to greet her. "Ashy, I'm so glad you're safe."
"Me too, Auntie Hazel. But we totally outsmarted the time travelers! And Felix Psyded and the Grim Reaper helped, too!"
Hazel nodded and pushed out a smile. Heather had told her everything by text from the flight home, and she was still trying to wrap her mind around the whole thing - just like Heather and Conrad. Time travel was one thing, but murderous hitmen and vengeful exes were another thing altogether. Ash seemed the least disturbed by the strange reality he found himself in, which was at least something the adults could take comfort in.
Lavender was unaware her brother had been kidnapped, least of all by time travellers, instead thinking he'd stayed an extra night in San Myshuno with his other family, but she was happy to see him again nonetheless. "Ashy want to read with me?" she asked, sitting next to him on the living room sofa.
"Sure, Lava," he said, and she handed him their worn copy of The Giving Tree. As he read, his voice trailed off, and suddenly he looked up with a smile. "I just got an idea!"
"Like the icy chippy?"
"No, this one will work. All we have to do is tell Mom and Conrad we want them to finally get married."
Lavender looked at him wide eyed as she shook her head. "Mommy said no snow."
"I know, but Mom really missed me while I was gone so she'll say yes. Especially if we tell her we'll plan it and promise there won't be snow."
Lavender cocked her head slightly. "How we gunna plan a wedding?"
"Auntie Hazel will help us, I bet. And Uncle River, too!"
"I want wedding cupcakes!"
"No cake? Just cupcakes?"
Heather smiled as she listened to them from the computer, where she answered an email from Marisol Quesada, the artist in Ciudad Enamorada who she'd commissioned to work on her video game's concept design.
She would agree to her children's plan when they presented it to her; with another baby on the way, it was well past time for her to make things official with Conrad, and now she was up against fitting into a wedding dress with a baby bump. The sooner, the better, if there was no snow. But for now, as her life returned to normal, she refocused on Marisol.
(Thank you @igglemouse for inspiring another crossover with your incredible storytelling. I love your words as much as we love Marisol's artwork!)
The artist's emails were professional, her work was incredible and they had a similar vision. She hoped Marisol wouldn't be upset that her latest response to their collaboration was a few days late; Marisol was always prompt with her replies. Heather wasn't sure how to say she'd had to focus on her kidnapped son instead of the latest proofs, so she made up an excuse about pregnancy fatigue - which wasn't entirely a lie, anyway.
While Heather focused on designing Furever Friends: Stray Valley and her clinic, Conrad was dealing with Ximena and Rafa's cases - what had once been slow investigations taking years off his life were now meetings with judges and lawyers and filing evidence for discovery. But he still found time to help Hazel and River plan his wedding to Heather.
River came to Brindleton Bay for a vet appointment with Duchess and suit fitting with Ash and Conrad, and as her morning sickness finally subsided, Heather was more than happy to focus on her work.
Her regulars were excited for the new clinic, and she was excited to give pets and their owners an even better place to heal when feeling sick. But for now, the old clinic that helped make her the vet she was today still felt like a home away from home.
(Heather would never think of asking her recycle disciple brother not to hug his bag of trash while in her clinic. He loves it too much!)
A few nights before the wedding, Ash was wearing his wedding suit around the house in anticipation, and once his homework was done and he'd helped Lavender stack blocks, he sat down to watch his father on Simlandia National's 6 o'clock news. But even Conrad was intrigued enough to sit and watch when he realized what they were talking about.
"We bring reports this evening of a turquoise-haired man named Emit Relevart, who told several sims in Willow Creek Park he's a time traveler from the future asking for help with his latest mission. Police in Willow Creek say the man is harmless but annoying, and he's unwilling to leave the park until he's found a fellow time traveler and several stolen items he believes have been dropped through time. Sims are asked to beware of Emit Relevart when walking in or near Willow Creek Park, and officials advise against following him through any strange looking portals. Guard your safety, Simlandia."
Ash's eyes bulged. "More time travelers?"
"We don't know that for sure," Conrad said carefully. "Emit Relevart could be a hoax."
"But his name is time traveler backwards!"
"That could all be part of the hoax," Conrad assured him.
"I wonder if Emit knows Marco and Ximena in the future."
"After what happened in Sulani with Rafa, hopefully Ximena's still behind bars in the future, and Marco's gone. He was off the grid for years, but when he died in Sulani, we found a death record for him in San Myshuno."
"So if you time travel but then you die in the timeline where you already exist, your other self dies, too?" Ash considered the questionable and confusing science of time travel - still a bit much to grasp for a genius nine-year-old - but Conrad didn't know how to explain it any better, either.
"Are you worried more people who knew Ximena and Marco will try to find you again?" he wondered, and Ash nodded. "The Landgraabs increased security, and your mom and I will never let anyone hurt you. Same as always," he said.
Ash soon refocused on the wedding, which carried his excitement through the evening until Heather and Conrad tucked him into bed. He fell asleep with his blankets curled around his shoulders, bundled under heavy cotton sheets in the cool spring night of Brindleton Bay.
While he slumbered, Marco's ghost stood over him with a frown. ->

The Hardest Choice
Five Hargreeves x Fem!reader
Warnings: none
Five Hargreeves had faced impossible choices before, but none so cruelly personal. Standing alone in the dimly lit briefing room of the Commissionâs headquarters, he felt a crushing weight on his shoulders as he stared at the ultimatum laid out before him. The room was cold, sterile, a fitting backdrop for the chilling choice he was forced to make.
The Handler, with her ever-present smirk and predatory gaze, watched him from across the table. She reveled in his torment, deriving sick pleasure from his predicament. On the table between them lay a single, innocuous-looking file. Its contents, however, were anything but.
âYou complete the mission,â she said, her voice dripping with false sweetness, âor your little girlfriend Y/n becomes our new target.â
Fiveâs mind raced, every instinct screaming at him to lash out, to fight against the cruel fate being forced upon him. But he knew that violence here would solve nothing. The Commission held all the cards, and they knew exactly how to play them. They had finally found his weaknessâY/n, the woman he loved more than anything, who had become his anchor in a chaotic world.
âWhy are you doing this?â Fiveâs voice was low, dangerous, his eyes narrowing at the Handler. âWhat does she have to do with any of this?â
âOh, come now,â the Handler cooed, feigning innocence. âSurely you understand by now. Love makes you predictable, vulnerable. We need leverage, and she provides just that.â
Fiveâs hands clenched into fists at his sides. He had never felt so powerless, so utterly trapped. The mission they were proposing was dangerous, even by his standards. It involved a high-risk assassination that could destabilize entire timelines. It was a task that would pull him away from Y/n for an indefinite period, with no guarantee of his safe return. But if he refused, if he failed, they would go after Y/n. And he knew what the Commission did to its targets.
He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to steady himself. Images of Y/n flooded his mindâher laughter, the way her eyes sparkled when she was happy, the quiet moments they shared late at night. He thought about her strength, her kindness, and the love that had grown between them. The thought of her being harmed, of her being targeted by the ruthless machinery of the Commission, was unbearable.
âYouâre a monster,â he spat, opening his eyes to glare at the Handler. âUsing innocent people to get what you want.â
The Handler merely shrugged, her smile never wavering. âInnocence is a matter of perspective, darling. Now, make your choice. Time is ticking.â
Five felt a storm of emotions within himâanger, fear, despair. But beneath it all, a steely resolve began to form. He couldnât let anything happen to Y/n. No matter the cost, he would protect her. It was the promise he had made to her, the vow he had sworn in his heart.
He reached out, his hand trembling slightly, and picked up the file. âFine,â he said, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him. âIâll do it. But you leave Y/n out of this. You touch her, and Iâll make you regret it.â
The Handlerâs smile widened, pleased with his decision. âExcellent choice, Five. You have three days to complete the mission. Donât disappoint me.â
Five turned on his heel and left the room, the file clutched tightly in his hand. His mind was already working, planning, strategizing. He would complete the mission, he would do whatever it took, but he wouldnât be separated from Y/n forever. He would find a way back to her, no matter the obstacles, no matter the risks.
As he made his way back to their apartment, his heart ached with the knowledge of what he had to do. He had to tell Y/n, had to explain why he would be leaving. The thought of her reaction, of the pain he would see in her eyes, was almost too much to bear.
When he arrived home, the sun was just beginning to set, casting a warm, golden glow through the windows. Y/n was in the kitchen, humming softly as she prepared dinner. She looked up as he entered, her smile lighting up the room. But the moment she saw his expression, her smile faltered.
âFive, whatâs wrong?â she asked, her voice filled with concern as she moved toward him.
He swallowed hard, forcing himself to meet her gaze. âWe need to talk,â he said quietly, his voice heavy with the weight of his decision.
They sat down at the kitchen table, the file lying ominously between them. Five took a deep breath and told her everythingâthe mission, the threat, the impossible choice he had been forced to make. Y/n listened in stunned silence, her eyes wide with shock and fear.
âNo,â she said finally, shaking her head. âYou canât do this. Itâs too dangerous. There has to be another way.â
âThere isnât,â Five said, his voice choked with emotion. âIf I donât do this, theyâll come after you. I canât let that happen, Y/n. I canât lose you.â
Tears welled up in her eyes as she reached out to take his hand. âAnd what about me losing you?â she whispered. âHow am I supposed to live with that?â
âIâll come back,â he promised, squeezing her hand tightly. âIâll find a way. I have to. But right now, I need you to be safe. I need you to stay here, and wait for me.â
Y/nâs tears spilled over as she pulled him into a tight embrace, her body shaking with silent sobs. âI hate this,â she whispered against his shoulder. âI hate that you have to do this.â
âI know,â Five murmured, his own voice breaking as he held her close. âI hate it too. But itâs the only way.â
They clung to each other, drawing strength from their shared love and the promise of a future they both desperately hoped for. The path ahead was uncertain, fraught with danger and heartache, but they would face it together, even if they were apart.
As the night wore on, Five prepared for the mission, his heart heavy with the knowledge of what lay ahead. When the time came to leave, he held Y/n one last time, their kiss a bittersweet farewell that spoke of love, fear, and hope.
âIâll come back to you,â he whispered, his forehead resting against hers. âNo matter what, Iâll come back.â
Y/n nodded, tears streaming down her face as she forced a brave smile. âIâll be here, waiting. Just come back to me, Five. Thatâs all I ask.â
With a final, lingering kiss, Five tore himself away and stepped into the night, the weight of his choice pressing heavily on his shoulders. The mission loomed ahead, a perilous journey that would test his resolve and strength. But his love for Y/n, and the promise he had made, would guide him through the darkness, driving him to find his way back to her, no matter the cost.

last forever [9/13]
Summary: Zoro only offered to marry you to keep you out of an arranged marriage with a man much older than you. You agreed with the caveat of ending it via annulment once you received word from your parents regarding the original engagement, despite your growing feelings for your close friend.
Pairing: Zoro x Fem!reader, mentioned Sanami later (like epilogue later so chill)
Warnings: Marriage of Convenience, Fake Marriage, referenced sex (waaaaaay later on), mutual pining, Zoro is bad at feelings but what's new there, eventual romance I promise, mention of past attempted assault (I'll warn in that chapter), creepy older dude later on
Note: Post-timeskip, go let's go. Of course, they're a little older now, we know Zoro is 21, so Reader is now 20. :) This chapter IS shorter than the others that are left, but that just means we're getting into the better parts of the story. I really can't wait for you all to see what's next. :)

Itâs been a long time since youâve felt such strong anxiety about seeing people, not since the last time youâd met with your parentsâ chosen fiancĂ© for you, but itâs come back in spades at the thought of seeing your crew again after two years.
At the thought of seeing Zoro again, more than anything.
The thought of him deciding to dissolve your marriage when he sees you again is the main source of your anxiety, what you try to push away as you leave the lovely group of swordswomen who took care of you for the last two years, those who youâd told about your situationship with Zoro wishing you the best as they dropped you off. You hope no one is jinxing anything, but still feel nervous every time you see someone or something that could be Zoro as you go about, looking for things to purchase and for your friends.
When Nami and Usopp find you, the happiness between the three of you makes all your worries and anxieties dissipate for the time being. Both hug you so tightly, a three-person group hug, you almost cry out of happiness at seeing them again, before Nami starts fawning over how you look so much stronger yourself. She canât believe how different you seem! She adores your outfit of course, a fitted tank top with knee-length shorts to match and ankle boots, your beloved sword from Elias still attached to your hip. You tell her how wonderful she looks, giving Usopp the same compliment as the three of you start making your way towards Sunny, running into a distraught Chopper who youâre able to calm down after an explanation of the fake Starw Hats on Sabaody.
Chopper gives you a big hug and lets you carry him the rest of the way, its like you have a child but you donât mind it. Youâll baby Chopper all he wants, itâs the least you can do after heâd taken such great care of you all as your crewâs doctor before you were separated.
Once you make it to Sunny, youâre glad to see your ship and home is safe, and receive compliments from Franky and Robin regarding how more grown up you look. You are twenty now, after all, but it makes you smile shyly and your face feel warm as you thank them both.
After Chopper leaves to retrieve the missing members of your crew once Brook arrives, you start to feel your anxiety creep in again, Robin noticing right away and giving you a soft smile.
âZoro will be glad to see you again.â
âYou,â you gulp a bit, smiling nervously now, âyou think so?â
âI do. You two have been close since Iâve been with everyone, Iâm sure heâll be happy to see youâre well.â
You really do hope Robin is right, especially when you hear Chopper calling for you all, the large bird heâd left on returning now with Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro aboard as well. You surprise yourself by not crying when you see Zoro, instead grinning brightly and joining Usopp at waving widely to the three of them, shouting their names.
It slightly catches Zoro off guard to see you so happy, but still makes him keep his own smile on his face when he sees you. Robin is correct, though Zoro doesnât know that, but he is truly glad to see youâre fine, you look so much stronger than two years ago, and seeing how you keep yourself up on your feet when Luffy flings himself down to give you a hug, heâs even more impressed. He wants, needs, to talk to you alone, but after making it on deck, Luffy still hasnât let you go, Zoro realizes its going to be a bit before he can take you elsewhere to talk, especially so once Sanji recovers from his nosebleed and also gives you a hug. He turns to fawning over you like Nami did, telling you how lovely you look.
Zoro canât disagree with that statement.
He gives you time with Sanji, who continues to talk to you and tries to tell you about his own two years, until he notices youâre constantly glancing past him, and he knows exactly why.
Sanji smiles at you, before taking you by the shoulder and pushing you towards Zoro, essentially telling you to go see your husband already, heâs been waiting for you to be free so you could talk maybe. It makes you smile at him before you finally walk over to Zoro, who had turned to leaning against the rail with his arms crossed and eyes closed, until you tap his shoulder and he opens his one good eye to see you.
âHey there.â
âHey.â
You feel nervous, for some reason, before you notice the scar over his left eye finally and tilt your head.
âWhat happened with your eye?â
âTraining accident,â Shrugging, Zoro stands up straight and you realize heâs gotten slightly taller in the last two years, he notices the same for you but youâre still shorter than him, âCome with me for a bit, yeah?â
Nodding, you follow Zoro up to the crowâs nest, the two of you briefly talking about your two years. Youâre amazed to hear he trained under Mihawk, while Zoro is beyond impressed you ended up in a village for swordswoman. He knew you looked stronger, he canât wait to see how much better youâve become with your sword.
Once youâre both in the crowâs nest, before you can say anything else, Zoro surprises you this time but hugging you as tightly as he can, which you return once youâve shaken off the shock that heâs initiated this. You thought the two years would make the two of you drift apart, not being around each other or anything, but perhaps youâd just been paranoid the whole time.
Donât cry, I donât want to cry right nowâŠ
âI missed you.â
Heâs making it difficult for you not to cry, so you just nod a bit, biting your tongue to keep from crying.
âI missed you too, ZoroâŠâ
Neither of you say anything for a while, youâre impressed the rest of your crew hasnât tried to bother and bring you both back down with everyone, but youâre also grateful for it. You both need this, just some time together, time alone, itâs probably not enough time to discuss your marriage and whatâs next, but you donât really care that much.
âIâŠI love youâŠâ
Zoro nods, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead briefly.
âI know.â
Thatâs enough for you right now, it still makes you smile up at him, before you frown a bit, causing Zoro to raise an eyebrow at you.
âMy parentsâŠthey still want me to go back and marry himâŠâ
âOh yeah?â
You nod, staying quiet for a moment before you sigh and lay your head back against his chest and gripping his top while he strokes your hair a bit. He may not agree with what youâre about to say, but after two and a half years, your marriage could only be ended by divorce, a thought youâve hated since this came into being. You even hated the thought of the annulment plans, and now, you two only had the choices of divorcing or staying married.
âI donât want a divorceâŠâ
âWeâre not gonna. Not now,â Zoro hugs you a little tighter, one arm around your shoulders and the other around your waist as he gives you a kiss on the top of your head, âI wonât let anyone take you away from the crew, even if we stay married forever.â
âThank youâŠthank you so, so much, ZoroâŠâ
âOf course. Iâd never let anyone force you into anything, wife.â
+!+
You think Fishman Island was one of the fastest âget to city enter battleâ events youâve experienced do far, maybe second only to Sabaody. Your crew was separated almost immediately, you ended up with Nami and she took you to the shops right away, demanding discounts and trying to put cute clothes on you, things she swears Zoro would probably like to see you in with a grin while you shy away and push her off a bit. Admitting to her and Robin that youâre in love with Zoro might have been a mistake, but at least you have people to talk to about the situation.
Of course, though, nothing is easy as a member of the Straw Hats and you all quickly are defending the Ryugyu Kingdom from Hordy Jones, fighting off masses of Fishmen to protect yourselves and the innocent citizens of the kingdom.
While you donât take out anywhere near as many enemies as Zoro or Sanji, you still fight enough to help keep them at bay, getting some compliments post-battle from your crewmates and some of the citizens. It makes you feel both shy and proud at the same time, your two years of training werenât a waste after all, even Zoro can see the changes in your fighting style and how well your attacks land now. You donât look as nervous as you used to either, despite the confidant air youâd put on back then. The little bout you two had when you asked to stay with him, he saw you shaking so badly because you were scared but also still recovering from being sick, you tried your best and Zoro could see that, itâs part of why he had no problem with you following him, especially once you let him start teaching you more about swordsmanship.
Youâve definitely improved from the shaky, scared girl he met four years ago.
You feel like Zoro hasnât changed at all, despite the scar over his left eye and definitely becoming bulkier, he was still the same to you. Still makes your heart flutter when you watch him fight, he still checks on you after fights, it makes you happy to see heâs still the same. Heâs still Zoro, of course he wouldnât change.
âHey, come with me for a minute.â
During the celebration thatâs being thrown for you all as thanks for saving Fishman Island, Zoro takes your hand leads you off again, just the two of you. It makes you comment that if he keeps taking you away from everyone, someone is going to get the wrong idea, but Zoro just shrugs it off. He doesnât really care what others think still, youâve always known that.
Once youâre far enough away from everyone, he guides you to sit beside him before surprising you with what he says next.
âWe should talk about our situation.â
The fact Zoro actually wants to discuss whatâs going to happen next is the surprise, but you still nod, agreeing with him.
âChange your mind on us divorcing?â
âNo, I havenât,â Zoro brushes a bit of hair behind your ear, placing his hand on your cheek which makes you smile at him, âWeâre not divorcing unless you want to, butâŠI think we should try, you know, dating, or whatever you want to call itâŠâ
You blink a few times, completely confused and shocked before tilting your head.
ââŠhuh? YouâŠwhat?â
âWhat, you suddenly going deaf or something?â Zoro pinches your cheek a little which makes you wince and pout, before giving him a glare that makes him smirk at you, âWe should try a relationship, forget your parents and our original deal. IâŠI want to try being your boyfriend.â
You really didnât expect this, you first thought, like you asked, that Zoro had changed his mind and decided he was done with your fake marriage, but instead, he actually wants to give the two of you a try. Wants to see if this might be something that really could last, not a temporary solution to your personal problems.
While you think it through for a moment, you barely register that Zoro is starting to look nervous, something youâve never really seen before. Once you make up your mind, before he can say anything more, you lean up and kiss him, pulling away with a smile that Zoro returns.
âIâd love to give us a real try, Zoro.â
Everything is going to be okay, youâre sure of it.
+!+
Sanji and Nami can see a difference in your and Zoroâs relationship quickly after you leave Fishman Island. As you approach Punk Hazard, Zoro doesnât really let you go, keeping you near to him even as you all draw straws and you end up being one of the group to stay on Sunny and keep watch. Neither of them say anything when he pulls you aside once again, but the smile you have while you talk to Zoro tells them both everything is fine, especially when you nod once more and hug him, which he returns to their surprise.
The two look at each with questioning glances, trying to see if youâve said anything to the other, but both shrug. Truthfully thereâs not been time to talk to either of them, and when the group Zoroâs a part of leaves, the two drag you to the kitchen and start asking questions, which causes you to laugh, but Nami doesnât really think itâs funny.
âCome oooonnnn,â Nami leans against your arm, giving you a pout, âYou guys are acting weird, you canât tell us something isnât going on.â
âI donât know what youâre talking about, Nami.â
The blush on your face starts to give you away, and Sanji figures it out, giving you a slight grin.
âDid he finally tell you he likes you back?â
âMmâŠsomething like that.â
âAre you guys dating then?â
âMaybe~â Youâre not very good at being coy, to the point Nami gasps and shouts that she knew it before hugging you tightly while you laugh and Sanji sighs, still smiling.
âAbout damn time. That stupid mosshead, taming two years to tell you anything.â
âWell, all he said was that he wants to try a relationship, so thatâs what weâre doing.â
âSo heâs your boyfriend!â The little squeal and giggle from Nami makes you join in. âFinally, I told you he liked you back!!â
âYeah, yeah, you were right!â
Sanji is quiet while he watches the two of you for a few moments. He really does hope that you and Zoro are going to be okay one day, that heâll stay your husband and neither of you has to deal with the divorce papers or anything like that. He doesnât want to watch another couple in his life break down, even as you two are just starting out.
Well, minus your two and a half years of actually being married, even though it hasnât been a real marriage yet. It still isnât, as you explain after a bit, but your friends seem to get it. You still want things kept under wraps, until Nami brings something up.
âYeahâŠummâŠabout thatâŠâ
You give her a confused look as Sanji sighs again.
âLuffy kind of told everyone that didnât know. It was the day Franky was making comments about you and mosshead being in his bed.â
Groaning, you lean back in your seat before nodding.
âAll right thenâŠletâs keep me and Zoro dating between the four of us then?â
âA good idea.â
âAt least we can keep a secret.â

I see a lot of speculation that the âInfamous Puppy Debacle of â94â was a matter of Edwin getting jealous over Charlesâs attention.
Consider instead.
Edwin follows that line up with âthe living are MESSY.â So I put it to you.
An alternate perspective on the Infamous Puppy Debacle of â94:
-
Be Charles Rowland, circa 1994. Itâs been 5 years since youâve had to think about eating or drinking or sleeping or using the restroom or any sort of bodily function really. Your latest client moved on but he left his sweet little golden retriever behind with no one to care for her.
You could care for her.
You always wanted a dog. Dad never had to say no because you had never asked. You never wanted to bring one around knowing they might get hurt. Thereâs no one to hurt them now.
She comes back to the office. You drag an old sofa in there to give her a bed fit for a queen. You gather up any ball-shaped objects around you arenât particularly attached to. Sheâs partial to the tiny black and white football thatâs enchanted to always roll back to you. A proper Manchester United fan.
Edwin isnât happy of course. But then again he rarely is. The dog will be as good for him as she is for you, surely. He could do with someone to care for him with even half of the kindness he shows others. Even if itâs usually through that layer of ice youâve slowly been chipping away at for want of the friend inside.
Edwinâs budged up nice and cozy with the dog on the couch by that very evening, and youâre feeling quite proud of yourself for your excellent judgement.
An urgent case arises before the sun is up, bothering no one because itâs not like either of you were asleep. If anything it saved you from another devastating loss at the hands of Colonel Mustard in the study with the lead pipe. You tell your new football fan to be a good girl while youâre gone and dip out through the mirror.
It takes longer than expected. Evening is falling again when you and Edwin finally catch your breath in a local park, safe for the moment and free to return to home base. In the whirlwind of the day, you canât help but feel you've forgotten somethingâŠ
A jogger runs by with a dog on a leash. Oh.
Another person with a dog pulls up short. They produce a plastic baggy and stoop to collect their pet's leavings. Oh no.
On a bench across the way, a dog owner consoles their bullpup that dinner will be forthcoming as soon as they get home. The stout little monster ignores them, intent on rendering the log in its mouth into a million strips of fiber.
You share a look with Edwin and book it to the nearest mirror.
Being a ghost has its perks. For one, youâve never been happier to be free of any olfactory senses as you enter the office. There are puddles and plops and any number of messes you try not to look too close at. Edwinâs meticulous case files are in shreds, boxes toppled, tops riddled with tooth marks and slobber.
Your modest but valuable collection of artifacts and other magical ephemera has become a jumbled mass of chew toys on every surface in the room, some being very nearly ingested before rejected.
Perhaps the only edible item in there had been a bag of magic jelly babies, and there were a few piles looking suspiciously sparkly and wet that spoke to where that ended up.
And then thereâs your girl, actively tearing into a couch cushion in search of more food as you take in the carnage. She raises her head to greet you, tongue lolling, tail wagging, and she makes an excited dash across the room. Straight for Edwin.
Before you can so much as reach for him, heâs on his back with a wet squelch. Sheâs ruining his perfect hair and perfect clothes and perfect face with clumsy paws and a drooling a tongue, until he finally remembers he doesnât have to endure this. He sinks into the floor and out of sight, catching your eye as he does so in a look that could freeze a lesser manâs heart but mostly just makes you feel a little guilty.
In the minutes that follow, you calm her down and dig out a magic can of steak and kidney pudding that had always refilled itself since the days of the Blitz. Not that food was much use to ghosts, but Edwin had been in the midst of a world war fixation ever since he learned there was a second one.
The dog looks so happy as you pour it out on the floor, and you fluff her ears hoping to make her as cute as possible as Edwinâs footsteps echo in the hall.
He enters through the front door this time, still dripping in drool with a rip in the shoulder of his fine jacket and one knee sock scrunched low on his ankle with a few deep runs in the yarn. You think the tousled hair suits him at least, though he doesnât look in the mood to receive a compliment, so you wisely refrain from making that particular quip.
Instead you kneel down and turn on the charm, tugging those puppy jowls up in a grin to match your own, going for the sympathy plea. But it seems 50-year-old magical steak and kidney pudding didnât exactly sit well, and she immediately makes the most horrid wrenching noises youâve ever heard before spewing all over the hardwood. She takes a couple interested sniffs and then goes in for seconds, and honestly yeah, maybe you were a little hasty in thinking you could be a dog guy.
It doesnât take long to find the clientâs adult daughter and anonymously drop off the dog sheâs been seeking since it disappeared from her fatherâs flat overnight. Maybe youâd got a bit ahead of yourself on that count too.
It takes ages to get the office back in shape, and Edwin makes you do most of the scrubbing because itâs âgood practiceâ for interacting with physical objects, but mostly it just makes your hands itch. The case files get severely simplified and moved to a vertical filing system, and you feel a bit bad for it but at least thatâs less paperwork for you.
Overall you donât regret your brief foray into pet ownership, but itâs a relief to know thereâs no one relying on you for their every need at all hours of the day. Edwin is attempting to retrieve something from under the couch and holds out a hand, so you cross the room to move a billiards stick about a foot nearer to his reach.
He scoops up whatever it is before you can see, but that probably means itâs none of your business anyway. If he seems a little colder in the days following the dog debacle, you assume itâs lingering annoyance for all the trouble she caused. Fortunately an interesting case sweeps through soon enough, and all is forgiven in the wake of a good mystery.
Edwin has always been the observant one. So itâs no surprise it takes you a few weeks to notice that a new object has taken up a place of honor on his desk. How about that. You look over to where heâs resting on the couch, nose in a book, cushion tucked to his chest with several prominent stitches marring the upholstery. He resolutely does not look back.
You smile to yourself and turn back to the new desk ornament, a familiar articulated wooden hand collected from one case or another awhile back. Only now itâs holding a tiny checkered football marred with punctures by canine teeth.
Huh. Five years in, and you think you know a chap. Maybe that layer of ice didnât have far to go after all.
â
And THAT was the infamous puppy debacle of â94.

Whoâs Afraid of Little Old Me?
Crash the party like a record scratch as I scream (3)
Wandanat x human pet!fem!reader
Summary: Wanda and Natasha have been looking for a pet for some time, but they've had no luck until they meet you, will you be a good fit for their lives?
Word Count: 1.8K
Warnings: 18+ due to themes, MDNI, heavy pet play, human pets
Authors Notes: It's party time!

A little over a month had passed since you found your new home with Wanda and Natasha. The days had been filled with love, gentle guidance, and an abundance of care. Your bond with them grew stronger, and you began to trust them more each day. They had become your family, and this house had truly started to feel like your home.
One sunny afternoon, you overheard Wanda and Natasha talking excitedly about a welcoming party. They wanted to introduce you to their friends and their pets. While the thought of meeting new people and pets made you nervous, you trusted Wanda and Natasha and wanted to make them proud.
The day of the party arrived, and the house was abuzz with activity. Decorations were being hung, delicious smells wafted from the kitchen, and laughter echoed through the halls as Wanda and Natasha prepared for their guests. You, however, found solace in a familiar hiding spotâunder their bed. The space was small, dark, and comforting, reminding you of your early days when you needed a place to feel safe.
Wanda passed by the bedroom door, catching sight of you peeking out from your hiding spot. She smiled gently and knelt down, her hand reaching out to touch your head softly. "Bumble, it's going to be okay," she said in a soothing voice. "We won't let anything happen to you. Our friends are excited to meet you, and we'll be right by your side the whole time."
You whined softly, your ears flattening against your head. Despite her comforting words, the thought of facing so many strangers was overwhelming. You nuzzled into her hand, seeking reassurance.
Natasha appeared in the doorway, holding a tray of treats. She placed it on a nearby table and joined Wanda on the floor. "Hey, Bumble," she said, her voice calm and reassuring. "You know, everyone we're inviting loves pets just like you. They're kind and gentle, and they'll be so happy to meet you."
Wanda nodded, adding, "And we'll make sure you have a safe space to retreat to if it gets too overwhelming. You can come back here anytime you need to, okay?"
You looked into their eyes, finding comfort in their unwavering support. The bond you had built with them over the past month had taught you to trust them. With a small nod, you slowly crawled out from under the bed, your body trembling slightly.
Wanda wrapped her arms around you in a gentle hug. "That's my brave Bumble," she whispered, kissing the top of your head.
Natasha scratched behind your ears, her touch firm yet soothing. "We'll be with you every step of the way," she promised.
With their encouragement, you began to feel a bit more confident. As they continued their preparations, you stayed close to them, watching and learning. They moved around the house with ease, their love for you evident in every gesture and word.
The doorbell rang, signaling the arrival of the first guests. Your heart skipped a beat, and you took a deep breath, reminding yourself of Wanda and Natasha's words. You weren't aloneâthey were with you, and together, you could face anything.
Wanda gave you one last reassuring pat. "Ready, Bumble?" she asked with a warm smile.
You took another deep breath, feeling a mix of anxiety and anticipation. But with Wanda and Natasha by your side, you knew you could face the unknown.
The day of the party finally arrived, and you found yourself amidst a whirlwind of introductions. Despite your initial nerves, Wanda and Natasha's calm presence helped ease your anxiety as they introduced you to their friends and their pets, all of whom were human hybrids with various animal characteristics.
First, you met Carol and Val. They brought their human pet, a timid cat hybrid named Mallow. Mallow's ears twitched nervously as she clung to Carol's side, her eyes wide and cautious. You gave her a respectful distance, understanding her apprehension. Wanda gently petted your back, reassuring you that it was okay to take your time.
Next came Yelena, who you discovered was Natasha's sister. She had brought her puppy Honey, a golden retriever hybrid with sleek black hair. Honey's friendly nature and wagging tail immediately put you at ease. You found yourself drawn to her playful energy, and the two of you quickly began to chase each other around the yard, much to the delight of the onlookers.
Then there was Tony and Pepper, who introduced you to their hybrid cat, Bentley. Bentley's sleek, elegant demeanor contrasted with Honey's exuberance. He observed you with a curious gaze, his tail swishing gently. You gave him a polite sniff, and he responded with a gentle head bump, signaling his approval.
Thor and Jane arrived next, with their hybrid fox, Roswell. Roswell's sharp eyes and alert ears made him seem very aware of his surroundings. He gave you a friendly smile and a respectful nod. You sensed a kindred spirit in his calm demeanor and felt comforted by his presence.
Steve and Bucky brought their hybrid cat, Alpine. Alpine's fluffy white fur and piercing blue eyes made her look like a regal queen. She sat gracefully, watching the festivities with a serene expression. When you approached her, she gave you a gentle purr and nuzzled your cheek, a gesture of acceptance.
Finally, there was Agatha and her hybrid bunny, Scratchy. Scratchy was very shy and quiet, her large ears twitching nervously as she stayed close to Agatha. You felt a strong urge to play with her, sensing her need for companionship. While the other pets played together, you approached Scratchy slowly, lying down next to her to show you meant no harm.
Scratchy looked at you with wide eyes, her nose twitching. You gave a soft, reassuring bark, and after a moment, she tentatively reached out to touch your paw. Wanda and Natasha watched with proud smiles as you gently encouraged Scratchy to join in the fun. Slowly, she began to relax, and the two of you started to play a gentle game of tag, her shyness melting away bit by bit.
As the evening wore on and the sun began to set, you watched from Wanda's lap as Natasha expertly got a fire going. The flames soon crackled and danced, casting a warm, inviting glow over the gathering. All the owners and their pets settled around the fire, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The soft murmur of conversation and the occasional burst of laughter filled the air, making you feel part of a larger family.
The pets were either curled up by their owners' feet or nestled comfortably in their laps. You were snuggled on Wanda's lap, feeling her gentle, reassuring presence. Her hand absently stroked your back, and you sighed contentedly, feeling more at ease than you had in a long time.
As you observed the scene around the fire, something caught your attention. You noticed Yelena and Honey sitting close together, their bond evident in their affectionate behavior. They were kissing, Yelena's gentle pecks and Honey's nuzzles creating a tender display of affection. You had never seen an owner and their pet interact like that, and it piqued your curiosity.
Your ears perked up, and you watched them closely. The love and trust between them were palpable, and it made you wonder about the nature of your own relationship with Wanda and Natasha. You felt a strange mix of emotionsâcuriosity, warmth, and a hint of longing.
Wanda noticed your keen interest and followed your gaze to Yelena and Honey. A soft smile played on her lips as she understood what had caught your attention. She leaned down and whispered gently in your ear, "It's okay, Bumble. They're just showing how much they care for each other."
You looked up at her, searching her eyes for more understanding. Wanda's smile was warm and reassuring, her love for you evident in every expression. "We love you very much, too," she said, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
Natasha, sitting nearby, glanced over and saw the interaction. She gave you a nod and a small smile, reinforcing Wanda's words with her steady, comforting presence.
Feeling reassured, you nestled closer into Wanda's embrace, your tail wagging slightly. The sight of Yelena and Honey's affectionate interaction had opened your eyes to the depth of relationships between owners and their pets. It made you realize that love and care could be expressed in many different ways.
Once everyone had left and the house had quieted down, Natasha and Wanda began their bedtime routine. From your bed, you watched them prepare for sleep, their familiar rituals comforting you. They moved with a practiced ease, reflecting their deep connection and shared lives. As they settled under the covers, you felt a yearning to be closer to them, a feeling that had been growing stronger since the day's events.
You slowly got up and padded over to their bed, pawing gently at the edge. Wanda noticed you first and smiled down at you. "What is it, Bumble?" she asked softly. You whined and pawed at the bed, expressing your desire to join them.
Natasha, always the one for rules, gave you a stern look. "No, Bumble. This is our bed. You have your own bed," she said firmly. However, as both you and Wanda gave her matching puppy dog eyes, Natasha's resolve weakened. She sighed deeply. "Fine," she conceded.
Your heart leaped with joy as you jumped onto the bed, nestling yourself comfortably between the two of them. You nuzzled against Wanda, trying to imitate the affectionate behavior you had seen Honey display with Yelena earlier. Wanda's smile grew as she recognized your attempts to seek closeness and affection.
"Do you want a kiss, Bumble? Is that it?" Wanda asked, her voice soft and full of understanding. You weren't entirely sure if that was what you wanted, but you nodded anyway, trusting her to know what you needed.
Wanda cupped your face gently between her hands and pulled you closer until your lips touched. The kiss was soft and tender, filled with warmth and love. It felt different but incredibly comforting. You closed your eyes, savoring the moment and the connection you felt with Wanda.
Natasha, observing the scene, smiled softly. She reached out and stroked your back, adding her gentle touch to the mix of love surrounding you. "Welcome to the family, Bumble," she murmured, her voice uncharacteristically tender.
Nestled between your two loving owners, you felt a deep sense of belonging. The warmth of their affection enveloped you, soothing any lingering fears or uncertainties. As you lay there, you realized that this was your home nowâa place where you were truly loved and accepted. With a contented sigh, you snuggled closer, closing your eyes and drifting off to sleep, surrounded by the comforting presence of your new family.

more glamrock ennard au doodles!
btw in case itâs hard to read, the info text says:
âballora walks around with her eyes closed whenever sheâs active and confuses people. The pizzaplex is very overstimulating to someone who was previously totally blindâ
âFuntime freddy tends to talk to the others out loud. nobody else does this, nor do they like that he does it.â
MORE SILLY STUFF UNDER THE CUT AS WELL AS SOME TRASCRIPTS BC I WROTE A LOT SORRY
fun fact the eyes on ennardâs face are one of freddyâs eyes and one of balloraâs eyes
baby would def be a little fucked up when seeing vanessa, i think i mentioned this before but hereâs a fun little interaction between them
also HOORAY THE HANDPUPPETS!! they end up slightly redesigned (bonnet more so than bonbon) and in the daycare as little sun and moon themes bunny puppets. they both fucking hate it đđ but also neither of them know that ennard is there since for the most part they just Stay In The Daycare because Sun is WAY too excited to have some new âforever-friendsâ as he calls them so they have slumber parties every night and are SO fucking sick of him
Iâd imagine they were renamed and i came up with the titles âTwinkle & Starâ (yknow like twinkle twinkle little star + sun moon and stars etc. IM SO SMART GUYS!!!!! đ gets run over)
originally Bonnet was named Twinkle and BonBon was named Star but Bonnet beat the shit out of him and made him switch names with her because she hated it and now she has jokingly nicknamed him âtwinkâ â€ïž i swear they love each other they just have a very sibling relationship to me and certain media i have consumed from a young age makes me characterize Bonnet as being Fucking Mean and i love her for it
Glamrock freddy would definitely be such a sweetie pie as always. he would try SO so hard to make ennard happy and feel at home here and they would be like ?????????? who the fuck is this. get away from me.
funtime freddy would think heâs dumb and stupid and dumb and HE was a better freddy than THIS GUY and heâs WEIRD and a GOODY TWO-SHOES and STUPID etc etc
foxy thinks heâs nice but too overbearing, but granted after living in the same room as funtime freddy for years heâs used to it, itâs just that Glamrock is the boring type of overbearing where heâs being all kind and sweet and making sure sheâs safe instead of annoying the shit out of her for 6 hours like funtime does <3
ballora genuinely likes him but doesnât want to get close to anyone, so sheâs polite but thatâs it.
baby thinks heâs a sucker and plays into his caring nature quite a bit. sheâs thinking of the future, some situation where she needs someone on her side who will blindly follow her. Heâd be a good fit

Babe, wake up, new prompt coming!

I found this cute image on Pinterest and it had me thinking: what if reader spends a whole afternoon crafting these little messages and then she sneakily hides them around Eddie's stuff. Every time he finds one, goes to reader and gives her a kiss, then stores it in a tin box đ©·đ
đ”đžđżđź đ”đźđœđœđźđ»đŒ
Summary:Â You make love letters for Eddie.
Author's note:Â Mea I'm so sorry it took me forever to write this request! I hope you enjoy it! Also thank you to @eddiemunsons-missingnipple, @ryan-waddell11 and @orchidmunson for their endless encouragement <3
CW:Â None, just a whole lotta fluff and Eddie being a dork.
Word count:Â 1.2k
Any hate will not be tolerated, constructive criticism is welcomed.
Being at Eddieâs apartment alone while he was away working wasnât an uncommon thing for either of you, he had given you a key to his apartment for a reason, after all. Although you two hadnât made the full step of moving in together yet, you still spent a lot of time at his apartment whenever you could fit it into your schedule.
You were sat at Eddieâs kitchen table with every kind of stationary imaginable scattered all around you; every shade of pink and white paper, felt tip pens, glitter and endless amounts of glue.
Since Eddieâs phone had broken several days beforehand and he was far too busy with work and couldnât fit it within budget for the month to get it fixed, you decided to make love notes for him to read every day. You made notes for every occasion; if he felt sad, if he did something amazing, he missed you or even just needed to be told he was loved.
Although your arts and crafts skills werenât perfect and you ended up with far too much glitter and glue all over your fingers, you were still proud of the notes you were able to make. You knew your art teacher from primary school would be proud of what youâd made, even if when you had lessons with her she hated your guts.
You had almost finished the final note and put them in a jar by the time Eddie walked inside, you felt him gently scratch the top of your head before wrapping his arms around you, pressing a kiss to the side of your head. âWell this is a nice surprise to come home to.â
You felt the warm burn inside your stomach as you squeezed his arm, happy to be back where you felt like you belonged. âI missed you, of course Iâd be here.â
It had only been a couple of days since you last saw each other, but it always felt like an eternity. Being with Eddie was the only place you truly felt safe, it was like coming home every time he brought you into his arms.
Before you and Eddie had gotten together; youâd never believed in that kind of stuff, that home could be a person instead of a place and you thought the people who said that stuff were talking nonsense. But now you understood them, and you just had to wait to find your person.
Eddie glanced over at the mess on the kitchen table, not daring to touch anything with his dirty fingers from working on cars all day. âWhatcha doing here, princess?â
You leaned into him, rubbing his arm with your hand. âItâs a surprise.â
He placed a hand over his eyes once you revealed it was a surprise. âIâm not looking, I swear!â he moved away from you, keeping his hand over his eyes, causing you to laugh. âIâm gonna go have a shower, you wanna order a pizza?â
âSure,â you answered through your continued laughter as Eddie felt around his apartment to get to the bathroom, hitting his feet and legs on various pieces of furniture along the way. Your boyfriend was an absolute dork, but you loved it far too much, although you knew he acted like that just to make you laugh and he couldnât ever get enough of that laugh.
You waited until he was safely in the shower to finish the last note and put it into the jar before promptly hiding it in your backpack, being sure Eddie would never find it accidently, not that heâd ever go through your belongings, but you were still cautious. After washing your hands thoroughly, you cleared the kitchen table of your project and grabbed your laptop to order pizza.
Sure, phoning Dominos to place your order was easier but Eddieâs pizza orders were always special to put it simply. That man couldnât settle for a simple margarita pizza to save his life, nay, he had to have some weird combination that changed in a frequent basis. His current favourite pizza? Tandoori chicken and burger sauce with stuffed crust. As odd as it sounded, you did have a slice and it was pretty good, so you couldnât exactly hate him for that.
Youâd just finished placing the order when Eddie came out donned in just a towel, another towel in his hair trying to dry it before lowering it to cover his face completely. âIs it safe to come out?â
You let out another laugh, nodding your head. âYes, you muppet, itâs safe. Pizzaâs been ordered and it should be here in a bit.â
Taking the towel away from his face, he smirked at you and began to slowly walk across his apartment towards you, deliberately allowing his towel to slip down his body. Watching him with a smirk matching his, you shook your head. âDonât even think about it, mister, we got pizza coming and I donât wanna get interrupted by the doorbell again.â
He pouted and pulled up the towel, sulking his way into the bedroom. He came back a few minutes later in his usual jeans and dark red hoodie, one youâd frequently steal from him to wear when the weather got a bit cold.
You closed your laptop lid as he wrapped his arms around you again, leaning down to press a kiss to the top of your head once you rested your back against his chest. The pair of you stayed in content silence until the loud knock on the door to signal your pizzas had arrived. You began to get up, but Eddie placed his hands on your shoulders to keep you seated, âIâll get them baby,â he murmured into your hair before answering the door.
Eddie had fallen asleep after devouring his pizza and watching a season and a half of Derry Girls while cuddling with you on the couch, his head nestled into the crook of your neck, feeling his breath on your skin with his arms wrapped tightly around your middle, keeping you close to him.
You slowly got out of his grasp, being careful not to wake him up, although Eddie was quite a deep sleeper and not a lot of things woke him up. As quietly as possible, you moved around his apartment, tidying up the pizza boxes before turning off the TV and putting a blanket over Eddie.
Getting the jar out of your backpack, you began to place the notes around Eddieâs apartment; on every table, in some books, in the wardrobe, on the fridge and in every single pocket you could think of. Once youâd finished, you gently shook Eddie awake just enough to get him in bed and properly asleep before you followed him soon after, cuddling into him as you easily fell asleep.
In the morning, you were woken up by an endless amount of kisses all over your face, lips, neck, chest, and hands. At first, you were too sleepy and groggy to fully realise what was happening but as you slowly started to wake up, you moved Eddieâs kisses up to your lips and kissed him back. âWhatâs all the kisses for?â you whispered against his lips.
Eddie gave you a couple more kisses before answering your question. âI found some of your notes, and I thought since my girl was being so loving with her notes; I thought I would be loving back and wake her up with as many kisses as I can give her before work.â

JB9 request
They are divorced and have two children together, and he is jealous that she is leaving the kids at his house so she can go on a date. but the meeting was horrible, because the guy is not like Joe
This was a very specific and I had so much fun writing in. A little bit of angst at the end.
What we used to be
The decision for filing the divorce was consciously taken. It was done three years ago, while you went to a rough patch in your marriage. The decision wasn't easy, because you share two children together, and for them was equally hard to understand why mommy and daddy weren't together anymore.
One of the main reasons was after having children, you marriage went cold and dead. He was busy playing football and you were busy mothering a three years old and a nine months old. You didn't have the time to be a couple anymore.
Currently, you decided to start dating again after your friends prompted you to do so. It was difficult because you had to coordinate with Joe (now that you were co-parenting). And of course, was during the off-season because during his seasons you had the kids most of the time. On weekends you dropped the children with Robin so she would take them to the home game. It was a messy life, because you shared a lot of things as a result of the years together. Trying to get rid of Joe was impossible having children with his face and living in Cincinnati. So you made peace with that fact long ago. You got along for the children, he was kind and always asked for your opinion when included the family. And you were polite with him, but nothing else.
You send him a text. "Hey, I'm dropping the kids early this Friday. That's ok?"
Joey B: Yeah, that's ok. Are you busy on Friday?
You: Yeah, something came up. Your home or your parents'?
Joey B: My house. Everything alright?
You: everything alright
That was the last text. After that you waited earnestly for your date. You met John through friends, he seemed like a good guy. By looks, the completely opposite of Joe. John had one child already, and worked for a big company in New York but was living in Cincinnati two years now.
You thought it would be difficult if men knew who was your ex-husband because it had happened one time and it ruin the mood for everyone. Apparently, you completely fucked up or whatever. Well, John didn't know anything about football, he couldn't care less about the Superbowl and that was a pleasant surprise.
So on Friday, you drive Mackenzie and Julian to their dad's house. They were behaving well during all morning. And since it was off-season they could spent the weekend with Joe.
You parked the car, and for your surprise Joe was waiting for them outside.
"Dad!" yelled Julian, running towards Joe who was wearing pants and a hoodie. "Mom, can you help me with my backpack?" asked Mackenzie trying to open the door. You got out of the car, and help her. She made cookies for her dad, and was so happy to share.
You help her to carry the backpack until you were face to face with Joe, who was looking handsome as always.
"Daddy, I made cookies!"
"Daddy, can we play videogames?"
The children demanded attention equally, but Joe was still staring at you. Hard.
"Have I something on my face?" you asked, almost aggressively. You put some make up on and dressed in a nice dress for the occasion.
"No, you fine" he cleared his throat "Not your usual fit"
"Mommy is going on a date" Julian shout, excited. Joe's eyebrows raised, you laughed nervous.
"Well, kids behave well. Enjoy the cookies" you said trying not to look at your ex-husband. "Is that true?" he asked, he sounded kinda jealous. Maybe you were overthinking.
"Well, yes" not wanting to discuss anything further in front of the kids "Take care, Joey"
"Please, call me if you need something" he said, "Let me know you're safe"
Your heart flipped. Why he did those things before your date? Weird. You nodded, going back to the car.
John was a nice man. You were sure he was nice, just...not to you. After thirty minutes in the date he kept talking about himself and his work that you thought you were watching a TED talk. He was good looking, but soon you realize you didn't have anything in common by what he was saying. Your mind wandered to your first date with Joe, it was in a bowling alley. Things got competitive and you spent a really good time together that you hook up in your car after the date. Would you hook up with John? Nah.
"Do you need another drink?" John's voice brought you back from your wild thoughts.
"No, thank you"
"So, you told me your ex-husband was a football player, right?"
"Yes" you said cautiously "He still plays"
"And how do you get along?"
"We talked only for the kids"
"Ummm, sure" he dismissed your answer. You raised your eyebrows, astonished. "What do you mean?" you wondered.
"Nothing. I didn't tell you about this trip I'm going to make next month..." he started talking again.
Joe bought you drinks too. You loved his smile back then. Julian had the same smile actually. After getting married you had very nice dates too, but you loved to spend time at home watching movies and resolving puzzles.
The date went on, and you have to excuse yourself or would die of boredom. After the date you missed your children so much, but it was Joe's time with them. So you went to your house and waited.
On Sunday evening, you went to pick up the kids. After a couple of minutes, Joe appeared wearing shorts and a compression shirt. He looked really handsome, his sandy hair was messy, he looked younger somehow.
"Hey" you said, nervous.
"The kids are in the pool" he explained "Come in while I prepare them"
"Oh, no. I can wait in the car" you replied, pointing at your car. He looked up-and-down, and pressed his lips. You blushed like a teenager "I bet they want to see you"
"Okay" you whispered, follow him inside the house. "How was your date?" the question made you flinch. You didn't remember John at all. "Umm, it was good"
I was bored as hell, and thinking about you. How pathetic.
Silence. By the way he was looking at you, he didn't believe you either. You reach the kitchen and he offered something to drink and you decline. "Are you going to the OTAs early this year?" you wondered, hearing music and the children screams outside.
"No, I'm going to spend time with the kids" you nodded, pleased. Joe was a great father, you never doubted that.
You locked eyes, and your stomach made weird things. His eyes softened, and he got closer to you.
"Y/N can we talk about us?" he requested.
"What?" you were in panic mode "About what?"
"The divorce. I thought were struggling but I never listen to you" he said, seriously "Until you fill in the papers" Your heart sank. His lips were still pressed, the wrinkles on his forehead let you know he was stressed too. "I feel like we never had the time to stop and think what we're doing" he said softly.
The bump in your throat didn't let you speak properly. You tried anyway. "I try to speak to you, Joey. I tried to do many things to save our marriage. It didn't work, you were focused on football, and I felt utterly alone" you wipe a treacherous tear "We weren't a couple anymore. I didn't have a partner"
"Mommy! Daddy!" Julian got into the house all wet and hugged you. "Do you want to see how I jump into de pool?"
"Julian, mommy is here to pick you up" Joe explained "Go and tell your sister" Julian nodded and went happily to his sister. Joe attention was on you again. "We should speak about this with more time"
"Why? Are you trying to marry me again?" you joked frustrated he wasn't listening again. "Yes, I never wanted a divorce" he replied ardently. The confession hit you. "Then, why did you fill the divorce?"
"Because I was scared..." the footsteps didn't let him finish "I'll send you a message, please"
You left Joe's house confused and heartbroken. Even though, you couldn't avoid the hope growing in your chest.
Let me know if you want a second part. I think it would be cool.
