Stacey glaring at Erika. "What are you looking at me like that for? Did Biscuits tell you something I don't know about? I swear he can't keep a damn secret."

Erika's older sister Stacey even saw her the other day with Henry. "Erika, we are at a small town where everyone knows each other. With the owner of the skating rink?!?! He is single for a reason. He could have a wife and kids." Sydney being concern for her sister.

"He's 45 and single. He got a niece." Stacey eyes widen as if what Erika said makes it a lot better. Not only she found out that Zane's men kidnapped Erika, Henry, Bonnie and Maya. She knows everything.

"He's dangerous! There is so many reason's why you should stay away from him. You heard what Chula said, "Those Lopez boys are trouble." I don't care that you're an Avenger you can't be serious right now."

Author's Note:

I really like Echo. Wish I see more of Maya and her Family. Hopefully we get to see Maya and her Family in future Marvel Projects like the Daredevil: Born Again show that's coming out in 2025.

There isn't very many Echo Books out there especially Henry Lopez fics.

I always been a fan of Twilight wasn't really payed enough attention for Chaske Spencer Portrayal as Sam Uley.

Why am I being attracted to another older man? His portrayal as a Single 45 year old stressed Uncle what got me. Who got a criminal past and owns a Skating Rink.  Not him as a Short Tempered Alpha Werewolf.

It is my first time writing about a huge 20+ Age Gap Relationship 45 Man and 23-25 year old Woman. Any tips?

Fictober 2020 Day 2

Prompt: 31 “I trust You” Fandom: ER Characters: Kerry Weaver, Henry Lopez-Weaver, Florina Lopez Rating: G Word Count: 537 ------------------------------------------------------

The paramedics crash through the ambulance bay doors. Zadros is pushing the gurney and calling out the bullet as Carter and Abby run along with them. Kerry is coming out of Curtain Three as they pass on the way to a trauma room, and doesn’t make notice of it until a very familiar voice calls out to her.

“Momma!”

She does a double take, adrenaline pooling in her stomach, and rushes after her son. “What happened?”

“Grandmother says he fell in the park. Brief LOC, possible broken collarbone,” Zadros explains, taking his gear and leaving. 

“Momma!” Henry calls again, crying harder now, reaching for Kerry. She goes to her son, hugging him tight as he is hooked up to monitors.

“It’s okay, baby,” Kerry soothes, managing to get him to lay down and have Lily stick him with an IV. Somewhere in the back of her mind she hears John running the trauma, ordering labs and a portable x-ray. “You’re okay. We’re gonna help you feel better, okay?”

“Momma! Owie!”

“I know, baby. Take a breath, it’s gonna be okay. Can you tell me what happened?”

“Owie!”

“Kerry?” At her name, she looks up to see Florina standing in the doorway, her arms wrapped around her body, trying to appear as small as possible. Her face is screwed up, clearly trying to hide her fear and hold back tears. 

“What happened?” Kerry barks.

“We went to Eduardo’s house for bingo. He has an old singset his kids used. Henry was playing on it with some of the other kids and the ladder broke. He fell. I am so sorry.” She’s crying now, obviously remorseful. 

Kerry scowled at her. Of course they put other kids, probably not much older than Henry in charge of him with the adults gossiped and pretended to play bingo. “I trusted you.”

“I know you did. And I am so sorry.”

“Get out. I don’t want you in here,” Kerry orders, standing as the x-ray tech comes in for Henry’s films.

“But, Kerry, I want to make sure Henry’s okay.”

“I’ll come find you later. Now: get out.” She was seething. Those kids should have been supervised. Sure, it truly wasn’t Florina’s fault, but there should have been an adult around. 

Henry eventually calms down and once he is cleared to not meet trauma requirements, they move him to another room. The nurses fawn over him, bringing him popsicles and stealing a TV and VCR from Peds. Kerry calms down too, and goes down the hall to find Florina who is sitting sentient in chairs, watching the hustle of the ER go by. 

“Henry’s gonna be okay,” Kerry says, taking a seat next to her mother-in-law.

“Oh, thank god,” Florina sighs. 

“He has a broken collar bone, and some scrapes and a bruise on his face from where he fell, but other than that, he’s fine.”

“Kerry, I am so sorry. I never meant for this to happen. We go there every week and the kids play and they are always fine.”

“I know. Things like this just happen. I’m sorry for yelling at you. Maybe next time though, have someone out there that’s over sixteen with the kids, okay?”

And with a watery laugh, Florina agrees, glad Kerry isn’t so angry anymore. 

“Good. Come on, Henry was asking for his Abuela.”
