the end of the year is upon us again, and for me that means i have every holiday that has ever existed shoved into a two week span of time. since i'm not going to have time to draw anything until uhhh maybe 2025, it means i'm basically done for 2024, so you know what that means...

my 2024 art pack is officially available for purchase!

this year i outdid myself and was able to beat my last year's quantity by almost 100 files - if you decide to support me and get this thang you'll get 317 files of varying formats and ratings and suchwhat. mostly madatobi, of course! but there are also things i haven't published publicly like sketches and drafts and some bonus pieces as well from, oh say, the bottom tobirama anthology i was in, and some madatobiweek24 stuff that i didn't publish either. teehee

starting prices as always are at 5$, but there is the option to pay more than that as well, because... it's a lot of art! i worked hard for the whole year to make this stuff! but your support means so much no matter what amount you pledge, because in the end that's money, and you think i'm worthy enough to support me in that way :")))

i really do have the best followers and community here in this little niche, and even though the end of the year is always busy and stressful, i always look forward to giving back to you all, who keep me motivated and cheer me on through highs and lows and being mid as hell, and i can't wait to make more stuff for all of us in 2025, which will mark five years since joining the madatobi fandom. i've got some big stuff in mind, so i hope you keep sticking around, too!!

11. Forced to share a bed/fake relationship

If I understand that right, it's both together - forced to share a bed because they're in a fake relationship, yeah? Definitely down for that! I love fake relationships so much, and there are lots of fun ways it can go - cracky or pining or even angsty and I am in for all of it.

I've only once written a fake/pretend relationship - a MadaTobi fic - but I might do it again. Even add the forced to share a bed trope to it and turn up the crack to a hundred because I love writing dumb humor xD

24. Telepathic soulbonding

I have! (More like still am) Actually read a fic - TobiIzu - in which they have a telepathic soulbond - but not because it's a soulmate AU but because one of them used a forbidden jutsu to bind them together. And it's a fun piece!

But I'm not the biggest fan of soulmates, so if I ever were to write something in that direction, it would be in a negative/anti way, since that's the only way I write soulmates.

And I actually had to search about curtain fics myself because I never heard the term myself, and TV Tropes says: "Fanfic that has a domestic chore as the plot. The classic situation is shopping for curtains, hence the name. Other sorts of shopping also work.

This can also mean just a fic of a couple, either Het or Slash Fic, spending the day at home."

I don't think I've ever read such a fic? Domestic bliss, yeah, but never domestic chore... Might write it, might not. But if I do, I'll definitely have the couple bickering xD

First of all, thank you for organizing this event and this is in no way criticism directed at any of the mods or their hard work, just a thought I had when I saw the prompts (and prompts in other events elsewhere too but nvm those).

I was honestly looking forward to participate sm but after seeing the prompts that excitement crashed. Maybe I am wrong but I feel like while letting everyone—even non-participating peeps—suggest prompts is a great idea, letting said non-participating peeps who apparently were 70% of votes (in the beginning), might make the chosen prompts not something a lot of participants want to do in the end. (Your extra bag of prompts was a nice idea regardless btw) Sorry for the TED talk, I do appreciate your work and hipe everyone has fun but as I said, it’s just a thought I had. I hope voicing it doesn’t insult anyone.

Mods appreciate any and all viewpoints. The fact of whether or not others may disagree does not make your opinion inherently wrong and we try to respect that.

While we do absolutely understand your point the difficulty is that Mods have no way of allowing only participants to vote. To try and do so would only invite people to claim themselves as participants regardless of their actual intent and the results would remain the same.

In the past we Mods have tried to put forth the idea of surprise prompts, coming up with them ourselves in the hopes of bringing something fresh to the table rather than the same suggestions year after year, but the idea was unfortunately met with a resounding no from participants. After all of our work to make this an inclusive and democratic event it would be little short of tyrannical to take the reins ourselves at this point. Mods have, in a way, left ourselves at the mercy of our participants.

Hence why we so strongly encourage everyone to come to us with their opinions and why we are grateful to see you doing so in a way that opens the conversation for others.

If there are others who agree with this anon then we urge you to come forward and let us know. If enough people agree that these prompts are not inspiring we are more than willing to listen to your suggestions for how to pick new ones and go from there. This is, as it has always been, an event meant to bring fun and joy to those who share our love for the MadaTobi pairing. If our participants are not excited to participate then Mods are enthusiastic to hear what changes you would like to see!

Gonna have to say Wergild, Raider, and Injection are like my top three... but high key just loving everything you’ve been writing

Ooh, yes, those are good ones.

Nerali is one of my favorite characters.  I got the inspiration for Wergild from a MadaTobi fanfic with a similar premise, but that barely touched on whump and I just needed more.  So this particular scenario was born, and Nerali became slightly more innocent and with lower self-esteem than I had first imagined, which lent itself beautifully to exploring the dynamics with her family.  I may explore the same situation with a more confident Nerali in the future.

Raider was inspired by the summary of a Shadowhunters fanfic, which is why it has such a similar setting.  I love Riya because everyone else sees her as this confident, slightly ruthless/heartless leader, but she knew that you get more working in the system and so she built up power to make a play.  Now that she’s sacrificed everything in service of this goal, she’s a bit lost as to what to do, and she seized ‘helping Laila’ as a goal.  Only that’s done now too.  Hmm, I wonder what cause she’ll find next…

Injection started out as stream-of-conscious rambling during torture and just…grew out of it, organically (hence why the characters have alphabet names).  I have no idea where this story is going, but I’m definitely having fun!  I love Delia because I always want the characters to rescue themselves and then collapse at home.  Also, she fit the ‘outcast/baby/weakling of the group, who’s shut out for her own good but still gets hurt’ trope and I loved writing that dynamic!

Hmm, I am not sure if it bothers you to write stuff out of order but if it doesn't how about a future madatobi scene from Demon Child. Otherwise, random madatobi or izutobi soulmate prompt that may have caught your fancy but didn't get drawn.

Oooooo, do you know how tempted I am to write a scene for Demon Child? The only thing keeping me back is that these prompt fills are entirely unedited, and that’s a story I heavily edit :(

The chill of night bit at his exposed skin. Madara buried his face further into his high collar, footsteps quickening as he felt the dangerous edge to the chakra he was all but rushing towards.

Something was wrong. Tobirama had been gone for days, and his mission slip (that Madara had felt less than zero shame for peeking at) had said to expect a day at the latest. A mission slip that hadn’t taken into account Tobirama’s skill, considering it’d originally been assigned to a lower ranking shinobi.

Hence his haste to get back home.

Pitch darkness was all that greeted him home. He shut his own door quietly behind him, nervous to disturb the silence that hung heavy in the house about him - the only sound other than his own breaths an arrhythmic drip drip.

Drip.

Madara lit a candle waiting near the front door, fighting back the dark. Only a flicker of flame to guide his way left the room still chilled in the unknown, wondering what might have set his lover off and made his chakra feel so cold.

All he had was the drip drip to follow, leading him into the living room.

He recognized the smell of blood before he saw it.

Tobirama stood in the middle of the room, dripping red. White hair stained and clumped together, eyes distant as he stared at the wall, armor and fur and clothing and everything so wet and red Madara wasn’t certain there was an inch of him left not soaked through. His stomach turned at the small lumps of flesh hanging from him here and there, knowing at a first glance they weren’t his but-

His love took a sharp breath, shaking as he did. Blinked a few times, looking at Madara for a solid minute before he finally seemed to see him. And then Tobirama flinched, presence shrinking along with him as he hesitantly and ever so quietly asked:

“Are you…frightened of me?”

Madara had no such hesitations. He was at Tobirama’s side after only a breath, stroking his lover’s cheek with the back of his hand and not caring if the blood stained his glove.

“Let’s get you cleaned up, angel.”

I would love a MadaTobi pairing with some angsty soulmate theme. Would you care to write where they are soulmate and Madara knows about it since they first met but Tobirama was not aware of it. Even after the village was formed, Tobirama hates/dislike Madara a lot & it took a toll on Madara’s soul & showed physically on him like scars or hateful words tattooed on his body, hence clothes to hide. Though on Tobi’s Body, there were protection seals and loving words, physical proof of Madara’s love

I’m actually in the middle of writing a story very similar to that for the final chapter of the current round for the Soulmate Collection! What a coincidence! ^^
