Do you ever wish you had lower standards for what you like in fics so you could enjoy more things or are you content as you are? Genuinely no hate I'm just curious

almost answered just like Hell no i love being a hater but then i realized i really like this ask so serious answer: i have never wished to or want to lower my standards ever as i'd rather not be beaten over the head by the same 5000000 tropes, AUs, bullshit and the like just for a quick read as opposed to sifting and waiting for something good and worth my time to come along, and it's always been worth it to be discerning. a drop of water a day versus finding an oasis after a week kind of deal. plus i'd rather not encourage repetition and staleness by just settling for whatever's out there. settling for just whatever is bad for you and others, boring, and leads to stagnation in creativity. for you and everyone else. im fine with my lot in life but i will also complain about it because nobody else will

Are you aware of any stories where Tobirama is allowed to observe and record Madara like he is a lab experiment? Like literally his actual lab experiment. Dissections at the morgue technically don’t count

also yes i have read a fic before with basically this premise barring the actually putting him in formaldehyde and mass of wires, it's an izuna still dies story and tobirama brings madara onto his jutsu research and development and because they spend so much time together tobirama basically takes him on as a lil personal observation and studies him and becomes obsessed with him and reality and thought and fantasy gets all warped and he is like slowly going berserk which is AWESOME and i remember liking it a whole lot but 1. it hasn't been updated in a couple years so still a wip... right as they were close to banging like im so sure they were about to bang........... and 2. i can not for the life of me remember the title. will report back later unless one of my veautiful followers beats me to it
