💛 & 💚 for Hyacinth for the ask meme? :)c
💚 - What is their overall relationship with the people in the city? Are they kind and loved by everyone or are they a piece of meat to society?
Hyacinth constantly gets into fights (tho most are self-defense) and it made the people in the city absolutely terrified of him.
I like to think that he's actually easy to get along with but dolville has a lot of situations where you wouldn't know it ><".
Also I see him as someone who likes kids and acts as a big brother kind of figure towards the younger orphans.
Also also as a confessor he's pretty well-liked, due to his (surprisingly) gentle guidance. It is purely because his face isn't visible. He's pretty infamous for his violence so if he were to be seen, nobody would speak to him in the confessional.
💛 - Weaknesses and strength your pc has.
Weaknesses:
Despite being good at combat, Hyacinth is actually quite clumsy. This is mainly because of how big he is. It's impossible to count the times he hit his head on something.
Absolutely terrible at chores, especially cooking. Do not let him cook. Even if the food turns out good, it will have a lot of hair in it.
Dedicated to staying a virgin to an amount where he's willing to attack others if they endanger his purity in any sort of way. He hasn't killed anyone tho (yet).
His hair is everything to him. He overspends on haircare products and most of them are stuff he technically doesn't really need to keep his hair healthy. Anyone who decides to risk getting their bones broken and cuts his hair will become his enemy.
Him being a member of the temple and a confessor is ironic because of how he behaves sometimes (especially the violent and vain part). Then again most of the temple members are corrupt, so he's no exception.
Strenghts:
Really protective, especially towards kids. Also just likes kids in general. I already mentioned this but he does act like a big brother towards the younger orphans and they're some of the few people who aren't scared of him. He's like a big dog to them - big and able to protect them with a gentle and loving side.
Great listener! He doesn't talk much himself and despite being a battle maniac, he believes the best way to solve conflicts is compromise and talking it out. The only issue is that barely anyone listens in dolville when told "no". And so he gives tips on self-defense! If you ask him for a demonstration, he'd also do that.
Loyal af if he likes you (which isn't hard to achieve tbh). I already said it multiple times (and I'm sleepy and brainrotting as of writing this) but if you're cute, have a hard time defending yourself, and don't try to hurt anyone, he'll become a bodyguard-like figure along with being a friend!
Idk how valid this is as a strenght as it's more physical, but he smells really good. Like a blooming flower garden. Especially his hair. Which is very soft and if he trusts you, he might let you touch it (this is his highest form of showing trust, only a few people get that privilege).
#dee's babbles#degrees of lewdity#degrees of lewdity ask game#dol pc#hyacinth the sweetheart#this might be kinda bad and repetitive#i'm sorry ><#i'm writing this while running on coffee and brainrot#aka the things that turn me dumber than usual#anyway hyacinth is guard-dog coded lol#(which is a trope i'm quite fond of)#also this is all a mix of his save-file stuff and stuff from my own head#hence it being kinda bland#sorry again ><

What's y'all take on the content book and tasks in-lore?
This will be a long one, btw
I think overall the Diary approach to it is best, you could even mix it with the tomes and the ability to use spells, because it humanises the character, in a way.
They sat down, after a quest and wrote everything they remembered, processing ans unpacking their feelings in a way. It can also make a good combo if your character is an amnesiac, hence not remembering the past, and that's why they write everything down.
I think there's also two more ways to do it, that focus more on the mechanics of the C.Book.
First is the "Fated Hero" approach, in which the book is a relic of some sort that's bound to the player and it shows them who's in need of help and where and how difficult it will be for the player to help in their current state.
Maybe it can also "Track" the players relationships for them to see, who's alive, who's dead, Recently sighted or Last seen, if they're friend, lover, enemy. That sort of stuff.
All in all, this option would just help the character become a hero.
The Second option is very situational in my opinion, because it focuses on the "Where do you Have to go and what do you Have to do" aspect of the book.
This mostly exists because there are several quests in which you do Very non heroic stuff, like pushing someone off a cliff.
And so this option could be the no freewill aspect of fate in which you're meant to do these stuff and say what you're meant to, no matter what the thoughts of your character are.
Or the nuclear option, which is The Book being a curse/relic that actively controls your character, kinda like the player tbh. This would possibly have some sort of connection with the lore of the Realms and the war.
I personally like all of these, since they have a very defined roles in writing but still have a bit of leeway for you to stray from it.
Like maybe the overworking aspect of the "Fated Hero" option, where your character simply doesn't enjoy living only doing one stuff after the other.
The Cursed option could be used excellently for angst, for obvious reason, but it could also explore the confort of not being in control and not feeling responsible for your actions.
In the case that the curse is broken, it would be an amazing opportunity to explore having to deal with the consequences of your actions, grappling with a newfound sense of responsability and thinking about who they are and what they want, now that they aren't being controlled.
Maybe they were never controlled at all, and weren't able to carry the weight of the world so they just let themselves be carried and gaslit themselves into thinking that there wasn't a choice.
Even the diary option, which is fairly bland, can be used to expand on a characters psyche and how they interpret the events and how they affect them.
What y'all think?
#wynncraft#God I Love To Ramble#Sorry for the size of it lmfao#And this is just about the content book 💀💀💀

As a big superhero guy, I have a question: Why do you think it's so common to show Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Hank Pym, Hank McCoy (ESPESCIALLY those last two) as, at best, morally ambiguous and at worst, downright awful in modern portrayals? Is it standard American anti-intellectualism, tied into our growing distrust of science and technology, or is it just that they seem kinda bland?
I don't think it's anti-intellectualism per se. For three of the four I think it's just a consequence of contemporary writers being Allowed To Notice And Unpack Things.
For Reed Richards, it's the result of fans and writers applying a level of scrutiny to early plots and character beats that weren't intended to stand up to any real level of scrutiny. He's a guy who got all his best friends horribly mutated by taking them up in an untested spacecraft. He's a guy who brainwashed a bunch of captured skrulls into thinking they were cows. He's a guy who keeps whipping up extremely specific technological solutions to the problem at hand, which never seem to trickle down to the consumer market- hence the "Reed Richards is Useless" trope. And he's gotta dodge and weave around patriarchal accusations vis a vis a lot of the casual sexism of early FF, where Sue had limited combat utility and was often in the mix as the Damsel-in-distress classic. And obviously excising the unconsidered sexism from the dynamic is the right way to go, but treating that early recklessness/ruthlessness/callousness seriously, as an actual personality flaw that he has, and has to work around, is significantly more interesting than just rewriting the character to not behave like that.
For Iron Man it's the result of people starting to take more seriously the moral implications of the fact that he's an arms dealer and a billionaire. (Apocryphally, Stan Lee did this to see if he could create a character who would be popular with his left-leaning audience despite being everything they hate ideologically, but I take this with a grain of salt.) Another element, I think, is that in preparation for the release of Iron Man, Marvel made him a headliner in Civil War in 2007; the nature of Civil War lent itself to him doing a lot of authoritarian bullshit, and said bullshit sort of set the bar for his capacity for extreme behavior when pressed. Put Iron Man in any situation, try to determine the extent he'll go to in order to resolve it, and you have to take into account that time he was sticking his colleagues in virtual-reality prisons on behalf of the government. A demonstrated willingness to do atrocities for what you think of as the greater good does add some flavor and tension, I have to give them that!
For Hank Pym, it's totally down to the midlife crisis arc from 1981, where he rebranded as Yellowjacket, got drummed out of the Avengers for using excessive force, and battered his wife Janet when she tried to. You know. Talk him out of building a robot to perform a false flag attack against the rest of the team to get back in their good graces. The whole arc was supposed to be a very deliberate tragedy about his mental breakdown but it kind of poisoned the well on the character and became the thing future writers endlessly relitigate, either doubling down on it (The Ultimates, Marvel Zombies) or trying to repudiate it (Mighty Avengers, Avengers Academy.) Even before that, though, he had a pointed loose-cannon mad scientist situation going on even in comparison to the others on this list- his debut was a Twighlight zone-style horror story where he nearly gets himself killed testing the shrinking formula, and he also created Ultron and nearly got everyone killed that way!
I have no idea what's going on with Hank McCoy. I don't think I want to know what's going on with Hank McCoy. Every time I turn my ear in the direction of that corner of the fandom these days, all I hear is screaming. Are you guys alright

i really love that your characters aren't like perfect and conventionally attractive if that makes sense? like basil having top surgery scars and just BEING trans and still being someone who's implied to be attractive, or small stuff like flo not being super toned idk it just makes me feel really happy that for once it's an IF whos potential romantic interests aren't "bland actual fucking supermodel", "bland actual fucking supermodel but with red hair" and "bland actual supermodel but 5'10"
sorry for rambling it's just like a game where I feel comfortable, that like in universe I wouldn't be given shit about what I look like y'know
also I liked Basil's joke about the MC (I assume this is only when picking the short option) being the same size as some of the kids. it made it feel like friendly and real
THANK YOU I'm serious this particular thing means so much to me.
I very much intend for my characters to be attractive, but each in their own way, not like the "bland supermodels" you described. Bc that's so real. In most romance fiction (not just IFs), I find that sooo many characters are just boringly beautiful. I have a hard time falling in love with the characters bc of that.
Also, I want each of my ROs to look according to what they do. Their appearance should suit their personalities and needs. Besides, "flaws" totally add to a character's charm imo.
-RO ramble incoming!-
To me at least, the SHC ROs are very attractive, but like in a normal, approachable way. I put a lot of thought into their specific kinds of attractiveness.
Basil is very attractive!! In a fox-like, impish kind of way, with his fairycore vibes and whatnot. I also love that you said "supermodel but 5'10" like 5'10 is short or sth lol. But I see what you mean! Basil, of course, is like 5'8 but I like to think anyone who meets Basil would be too distracted by the entire rest of him to even consider height. Besides, to me (I be gremlin) that's still kinda tall.
I figure being trans doesn't really factor into his attractiveness at all. From your ask, it sounds like trans people get described as ugly in a lot of fiction?? I wouldn't know, but if that's what you were saying, then that's a sorry state of affairs.
Flo is also attractive, in more of a "conventional masculinity"-type of way. But he's not well-dressed because he hates the feel of most fabrics, so he's only ever in his sweater. And of course he's not super defined! He has NO interest in being super handsome (aside from keeping his hair and beard shiny). He wants to be a tank. And he is a tank.
And if you consider how much food he consumes in the fairground-sequence alone (cheesecake, around five deep fried candy bars).... Yeah he loves to eat. Hence, he's got a bit of padding lol. There's no technical reason for the large nose ofc, I just thought that was cute.
Reem is the most "supermodel"-esque out of the ROs, I think. Although that's subjective. She's actually toned, but like... also very noticeably muscular. In that defined kinda way I might have intentionally avoided with Flo! But like, it makes sense that Reem would build abs and stuff for herself. She values her stage presence. She does want her performances and looks and outfits to be memorable, and HERSELF to be memorable. She's just raw, brutal magnetism. (Also I might have gotten inspired by BG3 Karlach when I first came up with Reem.)
Anita is pretty, too, but in like... a "cute" way. A Velma kind of way. With her, like, really thick glasses. Anita's appealing in a wispy, ethereal kind of sense. Or perhaps even slightly girl-next-door-ish, with an added academia vibe. Also, she's slim, not model-slim but "I forgot to eat/I'm stressed and have no appetite"-slim. This is really important to me. Will come up in the story, too. With that also comes her bad posture. She slouches a lot.
So yeah the ROs' attractiveness is rly something I put thought into, and I'm super happy you noticed. Makes my entire day whenever I get an ask like that. Thank you!
Also yeah hehe I was proud of that joke

how would you go about designing a sona-adjacent character for splatoon? I know I’m going with octoling bc I play as them exclusively and this is more a character made from my ingame avatar, but everything else has me indecisive.. sorry I know this is a vague question but I’m interested in hearing your thoughts
this is a cool question! I struggled with this for a really long time and have had MANY sona designs (which either got trashed or became separate characters over time). Really i think how you approach a sona is different for every person. sorry if this is incoherent as i'm typing at 6am from bed
So basically first thing is what are you planning on using the character for? For example in my case when I used to try making splatoon sonas I made them *too much* like me to the point where i didn't like them and they didn't really fit in the world or were interesting at all. But that's just talking personality-wise. I could make an extremely bland octopus guy who doesnt play Turf War or ever go anywhere but it's also like, what is even the point of having a Splatoon sona at that point. What you want to use your sona for kind of affects how they would ideally be in my opinion.
So the way I ended up designing my sona (Koira) was to have us share traits but not have them specifically BE me, which is an approach that I find works really well in creating a connection to a character while still letting them be a character of their own. I would refer to it as more like making a self-insert character to control in a setting rather than physically being there and feeling confined to being yourself if that makes sense? it probably doesnt. But the self-insert player character is kinda what you already do in Splatoon anyway.
I find it a good approach to go with a mix of aspects that are accurate to you but combined with things that are kind of out there. Then you can have a character that's still interesting and appealing to you and might seem similar enough at face value to be relatable, while not being like, super boring. I don't remember my exact design process with Koira, I wanted the design to be silly and stand out and be relatable to how I play the game and approach the series, while at the same time not being confined to what I would realistically do or be like. Like I do not own a labcoat in real life, or mismatched boots, or round shades.
But I DO own a pair of broken shades i found from a trash can, and in the context of being an avid squid researcher online I felt it would be very fitting to make my in-universe guy an actual squid scientist, and i WISH i had shoes like that because theyre pretty cool. And he has split ends because I DO have split ends (there are so many), but i don't have blonde hair. I picked yellow because it's my favorite color. I would NOT touch turf wars with a ten foot pole if i actually existed in the splatoon world and was the same person there that i am in real life, but like, in the context of Splatoon i might as well have my Splatoon guy represent some aspect of my gameplay experience, hence they own like every weapon but don't really play. Et cetera.
So really again people have different preferences with how to approach making a sona, or sona-adjacent characters like you said, personally the Player Character approach tends to work pretty well for me. I try to reflect my real physical in-the-flesh self less, because that's kind of boring (i literally already exist), and go for the more exaggerated version where some aspects represent me but it's not Literally Me. Like, I'm trying to make What If I Was An Octoling, and not What If An Octoling Looked Like Me The Human. The process of how to get there is a little patchy and again, probably different for everybody, and bear in mind that you might make a sona and not like it and start from scratch. That might happen 5 times. That might happen 10 times. You still learn something more about the process every time.
Here's some questions I can present to help with sona designing...
1. What are some traits that I think reflect myself? How can I include those in the character design?
2. In tandem with the previous question; what species should I pick? (You already picked Octoling, so this one is a bit obsolete - but it's worth thinking about for people who struggle to pick.)
3. If I existed in the Splatoon world, what would I probably, somewhat realistically be doing with my life? What kind of job or hobbies would I have? Can that be reflected in the design?
4. Do I care about any of the above stuff or do I just want to come up with something original? Could I use some of my answers to work with and fill in the blanks with other things that are just cool?
5. How would the ways I play Splatoon be reflected if translated to an in-universe character? (For example, based on how I play, my game-realistic Splatsona would just be a full-time Salmon Runner...)
6. Do I want to use in-game gearsets, or reference the kind of style I prefer in real life, or maybe come up with something unique?
7. Can my main weapon or playstyle be directly equated to my character's personality or appearance? Do I want their personality to be game-accurate, real life accurate or somewhere in between?
8. Finding inspiration through your player character's Badges, Banner and Title that you currently have; what do those say about the player? Or what about the locker?
9. What are some things I love about the setting of Splatoon that I could reflect in a sona or self insert? (For example I made mine an in-universe Inkling researcher to reflect my own obsessiveness about Inkling biology. And squid suckers. I have a dried squid in a minigrip bag on my shelf)
10. The obligatory step in any character design: Can i do something to make it fun or appealing to myself? Adding some flavor.
Aside from all that and I definitely forgot SOMETHING, my general character design tip is do not expect the first draft to be the final perfect result. I watched a video once that said to draw every character design Three Times before 'finalizing' it and it works EXTREMELY well when youre whipping up a character basically from scratch and have an idea in your head, but on paper, you just need some kind of first draft to see if that idea works. The second and third iterations usually help trim out whatever didnt work in the earlier designs and when you keep making more, the parts that DO work are solidified and refined over time.
Rule number 2: if you make a sona design and don't like it, ask yourself why. Then change it! It's not the time to start some kind of self reflecting journey, maybe you just want a more interesting haircut than what you have in real life and you can totally do that if you're bold (my hair is brown, I didn't want the splatoon to have brown hair when like half the point of the game is Neon Color). Maybe you want bright pink eyes. Maybe you want a ridiculous job that you could never do in real life but that would make your character way more interesting. Maybe you want to give them a pet slug because you would LOVE ONE in real life but dont have one, and that would complete the character.
i forgot my point but hopefully this helped and was useful even a little bit? yay

i am the absolute worst kind of person to do the whole ""theory"" thing (hence why my theoryposting tag is almost entirely fandom meta) bc you give me "halloween-themed moon variant that appears primarily on what is described as a vintage carousel and the backrooms, glitched-out (princess quest-themed!) areas of the new foxy log ride" and "there are posters referencing fallfest from hw1" and i go "oh cool, a reference to the curse of dreadbear dlc, where: vanny was first introduced, the nightmares are heavily featured, the plushbabies wear masks of the og band, foxy's first ride appears, the moondrop candy first shows up, you experiment on an undead animatronic's brain, the handunit insists that there are no ulterior motives behind its creation (while the game makes a lot of references to purging its systems and finding + reporting 'glitches'), among many other things -- princess quest also directly references it, with grim foxy guarding the vanny mask (as he did in cod's corn maze). the jack-o animatronics appear throughout the backrooms of hw1's foxy log ride as its primary antagonists, with the various props seen there also eventually being present at the pizzaplex -- which was already under construction at the time, as evidenced by the teaser showing it as such in that very same update (with a suspiciously familiar barn as part of the scenery), and hw1 levels eventually appear as hidden side-rooms in the pizzaplex's utilidoors network. nightmarionne also appears a looooot, being an easter egg in both sb and hw2 and an outright level in hw1. are the halloween versions of the nightmare animatronics, as explicitly stated non-canonical versions of the cast, being presented as the primary occupants of the 'true world' hidden backstage -- the way they kinda have been, ever since fnaf world? does this mean that the moon character was created around the same time as vanny, both in-game and outside of it? huh, neat. it's cool to see them bring back concepts in this way, and how it relates to the recurring idea of reality vs memory and dreams vs nightmares. design itself is kinda bland, though." and not "MOON WAS MADE IN THE 70S"
#speaking!#theoryposting#hw2 spoilers#i started this as a joke abt it being a dreadbear reference#and shitposted myself into kind of having a point#God fucking dammit. every time

Second reading of Fourth Wing - My complete sincere and silly thoughts
Fucking spoilers below
First...goofy title. But who am I to judge...Have you seen my fic titles????
Overall a very bingable - bingeable? - book. The writing is simple enough - a bit similar to fanfiction to be honest - and despite the amount of pages it did not require much effort reading (although I am biased when talking about speed reading since i am a historian and reading stuff is my job). Not the best or consistent vocabulary and sometimes the writing was a bit cringy, but nothing overwhelming. Some dialogues were really funny though, I enjoyed the humor.
A bit too much foregin words during exposition at the start. I get it, you want to build the world the story is set in, but having Violet rant that on parapet was a bit tiring to read through. Don't get me wrong, is a good way to introduce world building by having the main character info-dump to calm down, but there were many names that we would forget anyway...it could have been more simple.
Violet is an okay character. I usually hate romantasy main characters from the start because their personality is just so bland...but Violet did surprise me a little. I could actually care for her after reading more about. Her being disabled helps a lot because I felt seen and understood in many aspects of her own thoughts about her disability. Also, broke my heart whenever Dain or Mira talked about Violet as if she was a bag of fragile pieces...kinda dehumanizing to have your disability be the only thing people see about you. Even if they were worried, maybe trust the girl a little bit, huh? She knows her body and limits like nobody else.
Wonderful side characters. I loved Rhiannion and Ridoc so fucking much!!!! They deserve the world! Also, Liam was such a sweetheart. Imogen really grew on me, girl is an icon in my humble opinion. Dain was okay, just a bit too repetitive on the entire I-wanna-protect-but-I-don't-want-to-listen-your-opinions! I wish we had a bit more insight on those characters, like Ridoc and Sawyer, but most of them I was able to really enjoy.
Xaden is alright. A bit underwhelming and clichê, but he grew on me by the end of the book. Maybe we could get more POVs from him, because I started to like him more when I got to read his only POV chapter.
The dragons are awesome. I love Tairn so fucking much, he is my spirit animal, the grumpy ass protective dad trope, but it's a dragon. Also, his dynamic with Andarna is so sweeeet. But I wish we could see more of him and Sgaeyl interacting, I barely know her - but she is iconic anyway. Also, Tairn never calls people by name and that is fucking funny because my dad is always calling people nicknames - hence why I think Tairn is just a grumpy dad. Andarna is soooo cute and corageous, I love her.
The plot of the book is quite simple at the start, but fuck if those names did not confuse me! Assessment, Challenges, Gauntlet and etc. Sometimes I got confused as fuck with the timeline of those events! Also...why some people have super simple names and some have like...unreadable names?
How do you pronounce Xaden? Because in my language "X" has a soung of "SHH" and I fucking lost it while trying to pronounce it.
Our girl Violet is very brave, I'll give you that! She does not back down at all, and the poisoning her enemies was really fun to see. It was good to see her win opponents without poisoning too, because I am sure the girl is capable.
Violet is a horny woman, I can relate - even if I am no girl. A glimpse at Xaden and she was DOWN BAD! Funny as fuck but at the same time...get a grip, Violet!
The bad guys in the book were a bit too cartoonish, not gonna lie...Jack, Oren. They were a bit goofy sometimes because of that. I get it, you need an asshole, but maybe tone down a little? But nothing too agravating - aggravating??.
I'll give it to you, the tension around the romance is nice! The steamy scenes - although not something I really care for - were not nearly as cringy as other I've read. Although I kinda laughed hard at how those two wrecked the entire room, must be so awkward the next day when everyone knows what were ya'll up to. I enjoyed their interactions and banter too, it was fun to see but sometimes I felt second-hand embarassment at some of their attitudes. Those two need a room!
The venin/wyvern foreshadowing was strooooong and predictable. Also, the whole smuggling-weapons-to-help-fliers was pretty detectable too! I knew the marked ones were up to something ''good''. The whole rebellion discussion was screaming 'history distortion'. All the hints were very obvious and I think maybe it was the authors intention? The hints were all there, and they were not bad in my opinion.
The rebellion needs its own story, my historian ass demands it.
I liked the battle scenes. It wasn't that out of pocket or so unrealistic. I get that Violet is a badass, but we pretty much see her fail and loose Liam due to her untrained power. Sometimes we get too much of the main girl just mastering everything easily. Violet is really good at stuff, but she also needs to be bad at something to the point it costs her something. I like the balance of her abilities, made me relate and like her more.
I knew Liam would die the moment Rhiannon said he cheated death twice...fuck I hate it when authors kill the sweetest guys!!!!! WHYYYYYY
I knew the rebellion never vanished. It's typical in books like these, but I don't think is bad. As long as it's well developed, there are good chances that it becomes an interesting political arc. I love political arcs. The first book has a good base to make this interesting.
I give the book a 3,5/5 stars! Good enough to not drop it and it gets better after a while

fic scraps
ik im like so off topic. but bc im already on this blog can I talk about togakure for a second and this little fic I wanna do SO bad but I'll literally never do bc I don't know fuckshit abt business the plot would not be in THH! Byakuya would be a businessman leading his father's company and things are going decent (boring) but the place is kinda losing money fast as hell and they can't figure out what they can do to stop it then yasuhiro shows up at togami's office trying to convince him that he can literally predict what's going to happen to his business and that he should be hired to prevent it (I haven't thought about if he's being genuine or just trying to scam). byakuya calls major bull but has been in the same office surrounded by the same bland mediocre people for YEARS, so he decides "fuck it ill bite" and entertains the idea. despite his claims sounding so fictional hiro is actually right and knew exactly what would happen to the stock market two weeks ahead ?!?! they talk about it over several meetings which are totally not just fancy business dates and kuya finds himself wanting to hear not just more about the (*business*) proposal but about hiro but wouldn't know how to put it into words, hence eventually hiring him and then yada yada slow burn 500k words
but i feel like it would just be so fun to write bc while byakuya is literally made of money, he ends up meeting someone who isn't as fortunate as him and somehow ends up tangled in his confident pitches and can't help but wonder if their strange little relationship was hagakures plan the entire time. this would also give me a big opportunity to talk about how I DONT THINK YASUHIRO IS THE DUMBEST GUY AROUND LIKE.. he knows a thing or 2 u guys... and byakuyas response to him developing a crush being "oh so this is a new strategy" like no maybe he's just a guy you like kuya not everything is spreadsheet talk
#togakure#can you tell i should be doing an essay right now#also the two of them being business bros just WORKS in my head#togami byakuya#byakuya togami#hagakure yasuhiro#yasuhiro hagakure#yasuheadcanons#i would write it if i knew how business and stocks worked

The Masquerade Event came and went on the ENG server. Just a couple weeks ago, I seen plenty of takes where OP rolls their eyes at people who say that Rollo is "problematic" thanks to who he's based on or him being "racist". (Which makes no sense, because fae aren't real.) Sorry, but I have to play devil's advocate. To be quite honest, I agree with some of the sentiment behind that, I just think some people aren't articulating their points well.
The issue some people have with Rollo isn't that he's based on a villain so therefore he's problematic and anyone who likes him must be sent to the Shadow Realm. All of them are. Hating Rollo based on that would be fucking stupid. The issue people have is how the game glorified Frollo by honouring the school after him and handled Rollo as a character, despite who he's based on.
For the former, again, yes, some of the Great Seven did some messed up shit in their movies. Hell, Jafar has that creepy Jabba the Hutt style captive princess scene with Jasmine, despite the fact that she was a minor. I'm a huge Jamil fan. What sets Frollo apart from them is that he's based strictly in reality. You will never meet a Hades, Ursula or Jafar in real life. They are fanatical villains with magical powers or objects. However, there are thousands of people like Frollo in real life, especially in the west. Plus, Frollo is on a whole other level compared to the Great Seven. All of the Great Seven have good traits, so you can see an argument for how they might be seen as heroes of their stories. Frollo has ZERO redeeming qualities. This is the same guy who killed a lady and wanted to drown a newborn baby for being disabled in the first scene he was in, lusted after an underaged girl and wanted to genocide all of the Romani in Paris! So there's no in universe explanation for how that would come to be.
Christianity is one of the most popular religions in the west, so everything tied to it cares much more weight here. A lot of people have religious trauma. There is a very real issue of residential schools, especially in the US and Canada, where indigenous/native american people were abused which were ALWAYS Christian. Basing the school on a fictional figure with that much real life baggage is in poor taste. While I know Christianity is a minor religion in Japan, hence why Christian elements are often added to Japanese media due to it being "exotic" to them much like how westerners view the Greek Pantheon, the game is being distributed internationally, so the developers should've considered these things and handled that topic much more respectfully and reconsidered some of their decisions.
One may argue that Gaston and Cruella are the same way, since they are realistic villains as well. But guess what? They don't have a dorm let alone a whole fucking school honoured after them!
Honestly, I think it would've been FAR better if the game made Rollo like the staff where he's based on Frollo, but honoured the school after Mother Gothel instead. Hell, you could've done a plot twist where all of the stuff in the town is based on Tangled, and then Rollo pulls the flower shit inspired by Hunchback of Notre Dame. That would've been so cool!
That leads to that second thing—how Rollo was handled. For one, he's a woobified version of Frollo. A woobie, for those of you who don't know, is an older fandom term used to describe bland pretty characters with a tragic backstory that the author expects you to feel sorry for them and get away with everything. Oh, boy. Does he fit that definition in spades. He's pretty bland. His only real standout personality traits are that he hates magic and the fae, prideful, traditional and possibly athletic. That's it. He has a sad backstory where his brother died in a fire after his magic got out of control. Fine, that's cliche, but it works. Hell, it's kinda clever in a sense where it's inspired by the Hunchback of Notre Dame off-broadway musical. Characters like Idia point out the hypocrisy in Rollo's ideology and that he is really doing this thanks to his own guilt for his brother's death, which is a good thing. The problem is, outside of him being boring as a character, that despite wanting to suck out all of the magic in the world, he got away with it scott free, and his only form of "punishment" was living with the guilt of knowing everyone thinking that he was some sort of hero...despite Malleus wanting revenge on him five minutes earlier. (I don't get it either.) I think a lot of this problem plays into a reoccurring one the game has a whole—the character stagnation and Yana's utter unwillingness to let them face any consequences for their actions.
It's not even with the one shot villains. You see this play out all the time with the main cast. All of the OB gang get a slap on the wrist for their actions. Everyone instantly forgives them, including people like Kalim and Ruggie who were almost MURDERED. (Kalim I kinda get, because he's a ball of sunshine and is deep in denial about a lot of things. But Ruggie? You think he would be at least upset at Leona for almost Thanos Snapping his ass.) It's not even just for OBs either. Malleus faced zero consequences or is even properly called out for his actions during the second Halloween event or deciding to tag along, despite damn well knowing it would make Jamil's life harder and that he couldn't refuse him.
So in that sense, the way that Rollo got away scott free is super annoying, but not surprising. It happens all the time with the main boys, so why not him? Hell, the same thing happens with with Honest Fellow.
However, this problem hampers the writing on all fronts. Unless you are writing a flat arc, characters need to change and grow, especially in a coming of age story like TWST should be. So instead of learning and growing like real people, every single character in the TWST cast always remain the same and never face any repercussions for their actions. It's asinine, since they realistically would, even if they are based on villains. Hell, you think it would make it even more so, since they are based on villains and would be more revengeful and not merciful.
The game should've punished Rollo for his actions. I don't think he needs to fall to his death into a lake of fire like his original counterpart, but him being expelled or everyone at his school hating him after learning the truth and him being stripped off all of his titles would've been nice!
Don't get me wrong. Rollo isn't bad as a concept. Hell, I'm even adding a version of him to my own fic, so saying that you can never add a character like that to a story would be super hypocritical of me. It's certainly cool if you enjoy him as a character, even if I don't jell with him personally. Just that the way that Yana could've handled Rollo and the other Hunchback of Notre Dame elements in a much more respectful manner and nixed basing the school on Frollo himself.

Sorry to hear that you're still getting comparisons between Hover and Storm, I don't think we really need to go into why they're so different, not only in terms of personality but in terms of design. I really enjoy Storm's overall character a lot more though, it's just so much more interesting and I'm excited to see where it goes. Her being likeable seems a lot more natural too, Hover's creator just tried way too hard to get us to like her and it just had the complete opposite effect on me. haha
ahh thank you, anon but don't worry: nothing has really happened recently, Cat just thought it'd be a fun joke video to make. Hence why we included Kasi from The Lion Guard as well. lol and yeah, I agree. I like to describe her characterisation as akin to jingling keys in front of the face of an infant in order to entertain it: everyone else in the show is either bland, depressing or an asshole so you have Hover with her "TOTALLY RADICAL AND IN-YOUR-FACE ATTITUDE" and naturally people flocked to it because hey, she's loud and obnoxious so she's therefore automatically interesting, right?
Like you say, anon: complete opposite effect. lol
But loud characters do not necessarily have to be doomed to be annoying, and it's a shame that a misuse of them has kinda tainted the idea of working with loud and excitable characters. I feel that because Storm doesn't use her loudness to put others down and be what I'd describe as a G-rated edgelord, we're able to make her appear more genuine as a result. - RJ

Gonna go the less expected route here: Julian Albert, Kamilla Hwang, and Joe West for the fictional character bingo.
Ooh I appreciate the variety!
Julian Albert:

He just kind of Exists to me 🤷♀️ I also didn’t like Caitlin/Julian (hence “canon’s not real if I don’t look at it”). I found him kinda off-putting tbh. The show’s no stranger to jerk characters (Harry, Ralph), but Julian doesn’t really have the charisma to endear him to me like Harry and (to a lesser extent) Ralph do.
Also, he was only really there a) for Caitlin’s plotline (and his inclusion in all of it fell flat for me) and b) for the Alchemy red herring (which, as with Savitar pre-reveal, was a waste of time imo)
Kamilla Hwang:

So admittedly I used to be a lot more neutral towards her, if only because I felt she and Cisco were kinda thrown together by the writing and not given a ton of development as a couple. I…still somewhat feel this way, but I also like the two of them together…and as far as Cisco ships go, Kamisco’s my favorite 💞 (Goldenvibe is second for me, and I’ve been warming up to that more lately too)
Also, since Kamilla is your favorite, I’ve become fonder of her and Kamisco through following you 🥰 Kamilla is sweet, driven, and when the show does allow them to spend time together onscreen, they seem to get each other in a very special way. It’s not my favorite ship, but I find it a sweet one regardless.
As for “the fandom’s so mean”…something I’ve noticed is how some Caitlin/Cisco shippers tend to write Kamisco (and Kamilla, by extension) as very boring/bland/not right for Cisco. Which…fine, people can have ship preferences, but I remember one fic in which a character told Cisco, “[Kamilla’s] nice, but you deserve better than nice”, and that irked me.
Like…I get that Kamisco isn’t as developed as Caitlin and Cisco’s friendship, and even I shipped Caitlin/Cisco for a time, but…it rubs me the wrong way to see a white woman prioritized over a WOC as Cisco’s love interest when canonically, he’s only ever romantically been interested in said WOC and not the white woman. I get the fondness for Caitlin/Cisco, but if you need to throw Kamilla, a WOC and Cisco’s canon love interest, under the bus to do it…I question how strong your ship really is.
(Fun fact, fics like this are part of the reason I don’t really ship Caitlin/Cisco anymore!)
Joe West:

So…I have mixed opinions. I love him in most of the show, especially his relationships with Barry, Iris, Cisco, and Wally. Even his dynamic with Harry in s2!
I don’t, however, like him in s1 with Iris, and even with Barry, mostly pre-reveal. When he’s shooting down Barry at every turn, making him feel stupid, not even entertaining the idea of the impossible, not even stopping when he sees Barry’s given up the fight…yeah, that was sucky of him. It shouldn’t have taken Iris’s intervening for him to back off.
And with Iris…the lying, the gaslighting, the coddling…listen, I get he’s overprotective, but he is way moreso of Iris than Barry. Keeping her out of the loop for so long and not even apologizing to her?? Joe, Barry made his choice, but you also asked him to do it! You lied to Iris for months and acted like she was crazy when she mentioned seeing the Streak! You even got mad at Barry for Iris’s choice to put her name on her blog!
And that stuff with Eddie…ugh, that’s infuriating. The way Joe acts so entitled to her love life in s1, the way he denies Eddie permission to propose for ages just because he thinks he knows better than Iris who she should marry?? And the show doesn’t win any points with me for treating him as being right for that.
Oh, and also Armageddon?? When he yells at Barry and Iris for wanting to let Thawne die?? Saying they’d be destroying their family by doing so?? JOE CAN YOU BFFR?? We’re talking about EOBARD THAWNE! Killed Nora Allen, framed Henry Allen, stalked your son-in-law, killed Cisco, killed Eddie, killed your granddaughter, changed time and almost married your daughter??
I do love him in the rest of the show though, I think he’s a great fountain of wisdom and his relationships with his kids shine (hence the square with all the hearts, because when those relationships are at the forefront outside of s1, it’s like magic). It’s just those instances when I dislike him.
send me a character (or multiple) and I’ll fill out the bingo!

Genuine question, for real: why do you think Kira is straight? Also why Kira/Bashir? I’ll be honest I feel weird shipping it because of the actors’ real life relationship, but that’s just me and they did seem to have a lot of chemistry in Fascination. What do you think of Kira/Damar which seems to be one of the more common F/M Kira ships in the fandom right now. Honestly I just find a lot of the femslash fandom in DS9 kinda boring: I think I’d be more into Kira femslash pairings if people wrote fics and meta for them that didn’t just feel like middle school slumber parties
the easy answer is that i watched ds9 at age 9 or 10 and rly liked kira/bashir. fascination blew kid mes mind lmfao it was my favourite episode (i know i know) i think its partially bc they simply have awesome chemistry (though julian has good chemistry with pretty much everyone on the main cast, hence him being so easy to ship) but i especially like them bc kiras taste in men is just so awful and julian IS AWFUL (pls no hate to julian lovers, i myself like him bc hes awful in many a ways) and somehow they just work in my head, especially if you look at them leaning towards post canon. its just fun little barbie dolls i can smash together idk (i also really do not care about actors/voice actors in any of my fandoms so i wasnt even aware of any irl relations until like. two years ago or smth. and yeah i dont care lmfao i dont know these people)
also yeah im not big on kiradax myself, but i rly have come to enjoy kira/ziyal (partially in thanks to the lovely @ectogeo-rebubbles and @the-last-dillpickle encouraging me) bc its just the right levels of sweet and freaky that i enjoy as for kira being straight, man i really just like joking abt it bc its funny to me with her bland men. and while my private identity is irrelevant in my enjoyment of fiction, PERSONALLY i struggle seeing her as being mostly attracted to women. ive also seen people call kira butch, and i disagree with that too. obviously everyone is entitled to their personal interpretation but i actually think kira is more traditionally feminine... femme... whatever than the other female leads (both daxes)
also kira/damar is very fun. i also like damar/ziyal and damar/mila lol my mans can get it

Get To Know Me Meme.
Favorite Color(s): I personally love the color black, always have since I was a child. I just find it very... I dunno how to explain it exactly? It's just mesmerizing to me.
Favorite Flavor(s): I love sweet flavors, but my all time favorite flavors are anything that's sour and I mean SOUR. That extremely sour candy? My favorite. I have eaten so many sour things that I have grown immune to most sour candies. I don't pucker my lips, my eyes don't do the squinty thing, nor do they water. This is probably bad since too much sour stuff destroys your mouth, but I have a bad habit of eating sour stuff to the point the roof of my mouth and tongue are all torn up.
Favorite Genres: Horror and mystery are my two most favorite genres! I also enjoy psychological-horror and some of that really old timey adult humor. I dunno, supposed "humor" nowadays just isn't funny to me, it's pretty bland.
Favorite Music: You see, I've listened to a large assortment of music from the time I was little so I don't really know if I have a favorite music type? Though I can say that I enjoy metal music from back in the era of when my parents were growing up, same with their pop music. I also enjoy more... dark styled music too.
Favorite Movie(s): This is a hard one for me because I don't really watch movies anymore, but since I'm a big ass nerd I'll just list some video game movies/anime movies (and a few actual movies I can recall) that I've enjoyed — Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022), The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023), Train to Busan (2016), Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), Spider-Man 3 (2007), My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (2018), My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2019), and My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission (2021) is the last one I'll list because I don't wanna make this too long.
Favorite Series: Just like I did with the movies, I'm only gonna list a few because it'll end up getting WAY too long (I also assume this means any series, whether it's real or anime or video games): Kimetsu no Yaiba (2016 - 2020), Boku no Hero Academia (2014 - Ongoing), Code Geass (2006 - along with any new additions), Sailor Moon (1991 - along with any new additions), Attack on Titan (2013 - 2023), Shugo Chara (2007 - 2010), Resident Evil (1996 - Ongoing), Sonic the Hedgehog (1991 - Ongoing), Kirby (1992 - Ongoing), Stranger Things (2016 - Ongoing), and Fire Emblem (1990 - Ongoing).
Last Song: Take Me Back To Eden - Sleep Token
Last Series: Jujutsu Kaisen because my sister is forcing me to watch it with her. Help me.
Last Movie: Resident Evil: Death Island
Currently Reading: I am currently reading the Boku no Hero Academia manga (and awaiting new updates) while also being forcefully read/show the Jujutsu Kaisen manga by my little sister.
Currently Watching: My answer for this is the same as my answer for the question about the last series I've watched, Jujutsu Kaisen, because my sister is dead set on making me get into the series with her.
Currently Working On: Nothing really at the moment because I'm still in one of my phases where I can't seem to get anything done without feeling like I'm dying on the inside, hence I've just kinda been gaming to try and lift up my writing mood.
Tagged by: @neglectedbond Tagging: I don't really have many people to tag anymore or know who to tag exactly so just go ahead and steal this from me if you wanna fill this out, make sure to tag me as well so I can see it!
#{ Thank you very much for tagging me! }#{ I had fun trying to fill this out. }#{ I'm not too interesting of a person but hopefully this gives you some insight on me. }#{ Even if just a bit. }#{ I am someone who hyperfixates and talks a whole lot when I'm comfortable with someone. }#{ I also tend to have far too many interests and can't stay still for any of them so I'm always all over the place. }#{ So pardon me for that. }#✠ [ ' ᴛʜᴇ ᴏɴᴇ ᴡʜᴏ ʟᴇᴀᴅs ʙᴇʜɪɴᴅ ᴄʟᴏsᴇ ᴅᴏᴏʀs. does that say Lil? i couldn't tell for sure but one that's carrying another- I'd like to hear about them! do you have more art you can link to for me to see too?
OOC: Yep! That would be Lil (Miyulil/ 80s Miyumi if I wanna be more specific)
The most basic description for her is that she is Y0's rendition of Miyumi! She's a hostess, aaaaand that's about it! This is when I wish I wrote some more stuff down- But from what I remember? She's been working as a hostess for about...? 6 years by the time the events of Y0 play out. During those 6 years she hopped from club to club since she kept getting fired, the most notable of those being at the Grand for half a second lmao. She dated Nishitani for a bit, then dumped him... then kinda regrets dumping him (girl just can't make up her mind...), has a MAD CRUSH on her current manager at Sunshine since she thinks the eyepatch is cute... She also toned down her entire gang leader persona just to get/keep customers at clubs? But ultimately all that did was rewrite her personality to be some ditsy bland hostess. I think the only thing she kept/adapted from that time was a decent workout routine and love for fighting. SO she does have a decent amount of muscle! (hence her picking up Yu aka 90s Miyumi).
All the links and images will be under the read more (since. there is kind of a bunch hgvferubshdin)
+ some extra images/wip that I found in my folders!
we love miyumi vision ^^
#I may have posted a couple more things on my yakuzies blog but#I'm pretty sure that they're basically all the same as on this blog.#miyumi#rgg oc#yakuza oc

tags from there-goes-all-the-cotton-candy
I am not angry at you, sorry if I come across as defensive, I just wanna get some things straight
#breeches #i mean... yes #and no #1. the linen was very very fine linen and yes often sheer #2. or pantalets would probably ? not be worn underneath a nightgown #for a long period in history the only underwear was the shift or shirt so yeah i do kinda doubt girls were wearing their pantalets to sleep #i mean theyre split crotch anyway #3. once again on the fabric thing by the late nineteenth century they had shifted to cotton more often in nightclothes and if you have ever #yes it is indeed very sheer
have me drawn and quartered ma'am, i don't know what type of undies she'd be wearing if any. My mistake, perhaps I just shouldn't have mentioned it at all. Except it's kind of a key feature of the ask.
No matter what she's wearing she shouldn't be raped tho, I think we agree on that. No matter if she's going commando and her dress is clear as glass, that is no excuse for someone to hurt her. That was my point.
#4. i do appreciate the women's horror for of being a voyeuristic fantasy and u are correct #that said as a queer women i do also quiet enjoy the voyeurism in the fantasy on multiple accounts
Hence why I very purposefully use neutral language when talking about the voyeurism. I did not exclude queer women from the equation by saying that "people want to get their rocks off" and talking about the "audience's voyeuristic fantasy". I wrote all this with my lesbian friend in mind (sorry babe if you're reading this but also haha nerd), so I didn't complain "men are sexualizing women!!" because I know women do it as well. Also, obviously, the problem isn't the sexualization (come on, I'm not a prude), but we'll get to that part [1]. The only time I mention men's preferences specifically is when referring to cis men not being accustomed to the horrors I described here which is a different point entirely [2].
#i think the thing is that the gothic is in a lot of ways a pretty horror #and yes that is due to the fact that it is feminine and sexual #but i do not think that makes it worse #it doesn't water it down or make it bland #i think that a lot of the thrill of the gothic is the way that it eroticizes horror
[2] I am referring to movies and depictions that strip the horror from the experience and leave only the eroticism. Because those depictions are designed with cis men in mind, who benefit a lot from the "well, what were you wearing when they raped you" mentality and are not socialized in a way that facilitates a lot of sympathy for those who go through experiences like this. So the idea is that adaptations of Dracula don't trust these men to understand the horror and just rewrite the scene to be softcore porn instead.
[1] Now, I don't say "the goddamn eroticism" with any malice, just sorta... exhaustion. I'm ace, I get worn out by it though I can and do enjoy it. The eroticism is inherent in gothic lit, and their penchant for lush and descriptive imagery leads to very pretty horror. That is not the issue. My issue is with the horror being stripped from the bones, leaving only Hollywood-manufactured pretty for people uninterested in horror to gawk at. Give me back the fear!! For me, that's the best part!
why does sleepwalking women and gothic horror go hand in hand
You asking me?
The answer is voyeurism.
Here's the thing about gendered horror: the goddamn eroticism. You can't escape it, people want to get their rocks off even when they're terrified-- especially when they're terrified! It's such popular imagery because of the intimacy of a woman with all her hair let down in only a white nightgown highlighted by the pale moonlight. A nightgown is very innocent in its intimacy, there's nothing inherently sexual about it, but that just gets people even more horny! No structured garments underneath-- she's wearing breeches obviously but shhh no she's totally naked save for some sheer billowing fabric. Gasp! Unprotected purity! I sure hope no dastardly villain tarnishes this woman! (they do. they do hope for that actually)
This isn't a very fun answer, is it? But it's worth saying. Horror explicitly involving women tends to be very visual with plenty of (arguably) sexual imagery. Men get the mindboggling horrors inconceivable to the human psyche while women are limited to being eye candy who faint before their minds can even be boggled (no that isn't a euphemism). Even when the women in question previously had a larger role in the story than "sexy lamp", pop culture will be quick to reframe it in the way that has the most sex appeal.
But like... let's take the woman's perspective: you're in a state of undress and completely unaware of your surroundings. It's dark and anyone lurking around at this time might very well have bad intentions, and they might turn those bad intentions on you. And you'll be blamed for being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, in the wrong dress. Terrifying. And people don't really appreciate the terror of it because... it's pretty, isn't it?
But then Lucy is weeping in her sleep, and Mina is covering her feet in mud for propriety. Because who knows what a man will do to them if he sees her naked feet? They're both cowering in fear hoping a drunken man doesn't take notice of them. Because who knows what he'll do to them if he sees two young ladies out at night? They're sweating from not just exertion but stress, and their messy hair clings to their frightened faces. They cannot tell anyone. Because who knows what toll this night might take on their good reputations?
It's not pretty. There's no see-through dresses (seriously their nightgowns are made of fucking linen, not organza), no flowing locks, no full faces of makeup, just pure society-ingrained horror.
But cis men don't typically understand that horror because they aren't usually victim to it. It honestly makes me sad and angry that the imagery is so prominent (and in such a watered-down and bland "sexy" way) because it reduces the actual horror these two protagonists face to nothing more than an audience's voyeuristic fantasy in which the women are only objects to be gawked at. The danger is reframed as tantalizing and enticing "ooo good girls (unknowingly) being bad in their sleep!" rather than... they could have fucking died. Or worse.
... But I still want to draw my girls (Jonathan, Mina, and Lucy) in cute nightgowns, so I'll bite my tongue.

Keegan and Sage headcanons
ok ok I've finally sort of thought of few. Just generic headcanons and set in the fics I've written with them. Still have no idea what I'm doing, pls I'm so open for any questions, suggestions anything at all. Don't know if I should do a relationship headcanon one.
Keegan
Horrible childhood, still haven’t figured it out fully because I keep veering into the same ideas I already have for Mitchell and I wAnT iT tO bE different
Ran away when he was 15, he might have been lanky but already tall and being abused made him pass as an 18 year old so he could enlist
Operation Sand Viper was his first actual mission, kinda got assigned by accident but they were lacking manpower and didn’t look too closely who they sent
Pretty much had an absolute meltdown once the fighting died down and Rorke was the one who found him first
Trauma bonding and admiration and boom, Keegan felt like Rorke acted way more like an actual father than his own ever had
Rorke found out his actual age but instead of outing him, he offered to find him a place in the Marines to get a few more years of actual training under his belt before he’d let Keegan join Ghosts full time
During Operation Return to Sender, Rorke had made Keegan attend some mandated Marine training, idk quite how it all works but completing it would make him a sergeant, hence why he wasn’t with the rest of them.
And boy did that leave him with terrible guilt/anger/even more trauma
Became more stoic and withdrawn after that
Man hasn’t probably eaten a single home cooked meal in his life, doesn’t know what healthy eating means, would probably hiss at vegetables and fruits. He’s lived fine on bland mush and MRE’s so far and would be a giant baby about trying actual foods
Craves physical touch, pats on the back, hugs, will inwardly melt at praise but doesn’t exactly know how to express that need
Human furnace
Hates his scars
Adores cats, will try to befriend all the strays at whatever base he’s at
Also likes dogs
Basically any animal tbh, likes how he doesn’t have to talk to them, just his attention and affections are enough
Does not want to lead, hates the pressure and responsibilities, it’s why he’s never wanted to raise in rank any higher than a sergeant
Touchy drunk but there are three stages of it, beer makes him loose and touchy, hard alcohol makes him touchy and horny, red wine will make him touch the ground because his legs stop working
Sage
Grew up on a farm, had a few horses and had fully planned to follow her parents’ footsteps and take over the farm at one point, even went to agriculture school and all
But after graduation she decided to enlist to the US Army
Little brother also in the army
Got injured pretty badly during one mission, haven’t really figured out the exact scenario but her actions saved her unit and/or civilians or something, while she was recovering Elias contacted her to ask her if she’d like to join his team
Whatever the mission was, it involved some bad people that still live so as to protect her family, she asks Elias if her file and all records of her service can be destroyed, hence why she only goes by her call sign
Quiet but friendly and sarcastic
Analyses everything. And I mean everything, always thinking, observing, notices minuscule details
Quickly becomes someone who everyone go to for advice or just to talk
Likes to tinker and do things with her hands, if there’s any renovation needed to be done at any base they’re at she’s more than willing to help out on her free time
Is not used to touch but doesn’t flinch away from it either
Also loves animals, they had plenty of them on the farm
Has absolutely horrid circulation, is always freezing and it only gets worse once she starts taking medications for her ataxia
Has always been a bit of accident prone
Has a big indent on her right thigh from being kicked by horses on it twice. There’s just basically a hole in her thigh muscle with raised edges
Likes how the team feels like a family but it’s constantly vary that bad things can happen at any time to any of them so she’s almost afraid to enjoy it fully
No matter how much she drinks alcohol, she will not appear drunk. She can be black out drunk and none would be the wiser until she pukes or manages to pass out on her bed. Not a chance that she’d let herself pass out anywhere else
#keegan p russ#sage#keegan/sage#i feel like I'm still missing so many things that I've thought up in my head#ksjdhfksjdf
