As someone living in the fairly far north, our wedding dresses in Finland actually used to be black, like this one from 1870

This was because clothing was really expensive, especially something fancier, so you pretty much only got one dress and then wore that to everything. For the wedding, it would be worn with accessories like a bridal crown etc.
And here something else for you to consider: how rich is your bride and is the society class based? For example, in Finland lower class brides could not wear real jewelry because dressing out of class was forbidden. They might wear something called helykruunu (trinket crown) instead:

Extremely nitpicky but I hate white wedding gowns in fantasy, especially when they make absolutely no sense in the setting. No, that culture in the far north that prioritizes function over form and mostly wears heavy furs would not have the means, ability, or desire to make a sleeveless ivory silk gown with a semi-sweetheart neckline. Please be sensible about this and use your creativity instead of just slapping a Kleinfeld wedding gown into a medieval fantasy setting.
