Cutting myself some slack for once by deciding not to push out another detailed oc in exchange for whimsical fun. I love the idol idea but I already have Seymour and Elora to be the ocs I can go all out for. Anyways time for you to finally meet my self insert (far right)

Doesn’t have a name yet but she’s a dorky seamstress who is a bit forgetful but means well. She’s also a bit *cough cough* a lot head over heels for some of the women she encounters during missions

Edit: Her name is now Nora! Thanks @gumbo-jim (tumblr not finding the at but that’s the user) for the idea!!! I’ll definitely look into A Doll’s House! From what I’ve seen so far from the summary, it oddly fits my oc well even with a few changes here and there

Picked up an unfinished crochet/amigurumi project I started 2 years ago with partial instructions I wrote 5 years ago that is actually a rewrite of instructions I wrote 9-10 years ago, but the current project I'm working on is a modification that uses different colors and a different method that is Not reflected in those instructions and the part I left off on is the most complicated part of the entire thing.

also I have not crocheted at all in the two years since I last worked on this. I only barely remembered how to make a magic ring and now have to make sense of my bizarre crochet shorthand instructions for switching between colors and etc so I can make this:

wanting to start a commonplace notebook has led to me getting a ton of journaling video recs on youtube with pristine handwriting and flawless design choices and i feel like i'm actively trying to parry them away from me.

i have awful handwriting and i feel like i ruin everything i touch, i like the idea of a commonplace notebook bc it feels ACTUALLY useful, and i dont wanna be scared out of starting one!!

life update: back in school for my second year and i already feel exhausted haha :) lots of meetings for my org now and classes aren't too bad so yay. im just struggling to find a balance with school, clubs, work and being able to breathe because i miss all of you guys so much !!! i so badly just want to have a week to be on here the whole time and chat with all y'all <3

but i know i've been saying this since like april but i'm going to come back and i'll be here and you guys will wish i was gone hehe

recently i watched ‘the shape of water’ for the first time and omg i enjoyed it so much!! creatures in captivity will forever be such a fun concept. <3 i adore it greatly hehe!! \(//∇//)\

of course now this also means i am blessed with shape of water thoughts but with octavinelle. orz i couldn’t stop myself from thinking about floyd while watching. all of octavinelle fit in the captivity trope, but there’s something especially fun about imagining floyd in that context because he is a much more emotionally volatile creature in comparison to jade (who keeps everything hidden close to his chest), and that makes for very interesting happenings. but then jade is also interesting in his own ways, especially with all of his secrecy and how he will silently observe instead of wanting to readily socialize after having determined you’re not a threat. and then azul….. uuuuwuwwaa i’ll stop myself before i ramble, but please know octavinelle in captivity regularly circulates on my mind and watching ‘the shape of water’ sparked that thought once more.

Just tried to read a post on my dash that I did not immediately realize was about Disco Elysium that kept mentioning some strange concepts called "Kim" and "Harry" I couldn't understand for some reason & the thing my brain did to try to comprehend the words it was reading and make sense of them for me, was to BEAM (literal) two separate images of Kim Il-Sung and Harry Styles into my vision, which did not help me understand the post at all.

My partner talks about Laszlo crying alot, but I’m imagining Sean crying. Something happens, maybe he gets into a fight with his wife or something, and he’s in tears. Im imagining it at the party before the hypnotism. Once she left he would smile and apologize to Laszlo, “Man, I’m really sorry, we haven’t fought like that in ages, made me look like an asshole. You need anything?” Acting fine with tears down his face. And since he’s going to make sean forget later anyways, he hugs him and comforts him. This is probably super stupid because im half asleep but i am UNWELL over them.
