Salesman Roy Knable (John Ritter) spends all his free time watching television, to the exasperation of his wife, Helen (Pam Dawber). One day, TV salesman Spike (Jeffrey Jones) convinces Roy to buy a satellite dish offering 666 channels. The new addition to Roy's home entertainment system sucks him and Helen into Hellvision, a realm run by Spike, who is an emissary of Satan. “We’re-goin’-to-Heaven, buddy!  We’d take you IF we could,

But your faithless attitude - (pause) means-there’s no way we would!!”

It’s inevitable, that - people (pause)

Certain they’ve-found-THE-”BETTER”-WAY,

Like to tell you all about it - so- things like those- {above} they’ll say!

THERE IS A GOD, (pause) IF YOU BELIEVE;

And, IF not, well, (pause) (perhaps) - you should grieve,

But, just remember, confident ones, with faith ‘cause SOMEONE ELSE KNEW,

IF YOU CAN GO TO HEAVEN - YOU CAN GO TO THE-OTHER-PLACE TOO!

If you don’t believe in God; if you don’t believe in Heaven:

Yes, I guess you could (still) believe in HELL - and, perhaps, in DEVON*** -

However, it’s possible - IF you have HellVisions, Mates,

And you’re certain you’ve a chance (pause) at The Pea-ear-ly Gates,

IF FAITH GETS “LOST,” and if there’s some kinda “falter,”

God might let-us/you/’em slip through - right through the altar -

And IF a gaping hole materializes - in the middle of IT ALL,

Gosh, we might plummet!  Into-a-free-fall!

My suggestion: Be comfortable - with your faith or without,

But, just know, it was SOMEONE’S view-of-things - that this is all about:

You got YOUR faith from them - they must have some gall,

Your confidence? - in-their-faith? - so, you-trust-that-they-won’t-fall?!

Everyone’s goofy; most folks?  INSANE!!
