“I’m trying to get closer but nothing would change”

You and Billie have been on and off for years now. The two of you met each other when y’all were sixteen years old and now y’all are twenty-two. The beginning of the relationship was great, everything was going right, but when billie became more popular, the fame and stress got to her. She would distance herself away from you, hang out with her friends over you, snap at you, etc. but you weren’t any better than her. You would yell, pick fights, ignore her, or try to start things, but you eventually got the help you needed to be better, however, billie did not.

“Don’t know what you think I’m supposed to do. When I’m thinking about you everyday”

The relationship was toxic and you both knew that, y’all just couldn’t end it. Y’all were so attached to each other that it was unhealthy, especially from the start. You begged Billie to get help so she would feel better about herself and treat the people she loves right. She promised you she would but she never did. When she would be on tour, she said that she wasn’t allowed to take anyone with her besides family but you saw how she took some of her friends with her which stung. When she left you thought about her every second of everyday and when she came back she would be all lovey dovey making you believe she had changed.

“Are you serious? I know where you’ve been. Girl, you’re kidding. You don’t have to pretend”

Billie always came home late while you waited for her in the living room worried sick that something might have happened to her. She would always shrug it off and tell you it’s no big deal but you could smell perfume that wasn’t yours or hers. You immediately thought she was just all over her friends but you genuinely didn’t want to think she may have cheated. She couldn’t. Right?

“So tell me why'd you rather leave than fix some things? I hate your friends, they bring the distance in. Unlucky for us, that was all we needed”

You confronted her about it and she said she was just with her friends. She even called them and they told you stop being a jealous bitch and to let Billie have fun. Your mouth dropped open in shock at their words but what even shocked you more was when Billie was silent when they called you those horrific names. When she hung up she told you she needed space and she left with you crying on the floor, wondering where it all went wrong.

“Please tell me why you're giving me the coldest stare. You act as if I was never there, And sure enough, you're the one to blame”

It has been weeks since billie had left y’all’s apartment. You didn’t know if she still needed space or that she broke up with you. This used to happen all the time before but since you’ve been getting better and healthier, you realized that it’s not worth all the pain and tears. One day you saw her out with her friends and when she glanced over at you, she gave you the most coldest glare you’ve ever received. You felt her eyes bore into your soul and she turned back to her friends like nothing happened which crushed you even more.

“Because I changed. And you're still the same. You're the same. I'm tryna refrain. Why couldn't you wait? Wait for me. Wait for me”

The next time you saw her was when you texted her to meet up at y’all’s favorite place. When she arrived she looked as beautiful as ever and you felt your heart beat fast. You told her that it was over and she fell to her knees for forgiveness. She told you that she will wait for you and that she will fight for your love back. Billie said she would go to therapy and change for you. The look in her eyes felt real and you believed her until it wasn’t even two weeks later, you saw her with another girl. It’s like she took your heart out with her bare claws and crushed it until it bled, making your heart official break. She caught you staring and you looked away immediately, rushing outside to get into your car to drive home. You started the engine and looked up to see her there staring at you with a unkown look in her eyes. Before she could come any closer you sped off into the distance and drove back to the apartment you once shared with her.

“Tell me why?”

Their first pregnancy would have to be the most special, loving, adorable, spoiled moment of their life!!!

Not to say that the others weren't, but this was the first time… experiencing everything, you know? So obviously, they couldn’t just sit back and not enjoy this moment to the fullest, taking it to the extreme, as they always did.

It is for granted that whatever Naoya does it will always be to please you; whatever request, no matter how big or small, he is at your command and you should take advantage of that, as he’d frequently insist. 

Starting with your cravings, not that he didn’t do that before, but now he’s just a bit more cautious, taking an extra step just to be sure.

“Honey, I think I want something—”

“Sweet, sour? Or spicy perhaps? Maybe a combination of all? I got all kinds of snack for you to choose from, but if that doesn’t work, I can go out and get —”

“I haven't said anything yet, Naoya!” You chuckle. “I think I just want something sweet, that's all.”

“Chocolate? Cake? Cookies? Gummies? Ice cream? Mochi?” He goes on, and you remain silent, thinking…

“...maybe a bit of everything?” you pout. “And perhaps something else too…”

“And something else too.” he repeats with a smirk before placing his hand over your belly. “Sounds like a plan for my princesses’”

“Stop saying that, it sounds like you already know their gender!”

“I don’t, I promise.” Naoya kisses your cheek. “I’m just guessing, that’s all.”

“Well, if our baby ends up being a girl I’ll take it as if you did know, and I’ll be very angry with you…” you frown, he chuckles.

“Hopefully not too angry to eat.” Obviously, you don’t mean any of those words as seen in the way you quickly hug him, pressing kisses across his face as you declare that regardless of the baby’s gender, you’re very happy to be forming a family with him, as well as how eager you were to finally welcome your little dumpling in your arms.

Followed by dates, outings, or however you want to call them: those are definitely Naoya's favorite of all. 

From making the most of the little time he has with you between missions and clan responsibilities, to wanting to show off how happy he can make the future mother of his children, once again there is no doubt that whatever you set your eyes on, it's yours, no questions asked—clothes, furniture, food, pastimes, anything; don't worry your pretty little head about anything, he’ll make it work.

“Oh, that crib is so cute…” you’d say once stopping before a furniture store, the two strolling around the mall right after getting ice cream from that one place you wanted to try out for the longest, but haven’t been able to due to Naoya’s… unwanted commitments. 

Your hand is tightly holding his because of that, almost as if you were afraid of letting go and losing him. Moments like this make you all warm, keeping them close to your heart.

“...But we already have one.”

“And who said we couldn't have two?” Naoya responds, more than ready to step into the store and buy the crib—he doesn’t care if the bedroom is fully decorated at that point, you want it, you’ll have it.

“No, Naoya! We can't take it!” You’d tug at his arm immediately after. “We can't just have two cribs because we want to!”

“Who says so?” He raises an eyebrow. “If anything, it’s only necessary—the estate is too big to just have one bedroom; I can’t have you walking from one edge to the other just to put our dumpling to bed, nor will I allow it.”

“Don’t be silly… that’s not even a real issue…”

“... but if we get another, does  that mean we’ll have more rooms to decorate?”

“Naturally.”Naoya smiles. “Oooh, then can we get that other crib as well?” you cheer, gesturing at the one right beside it. “I’ve been wanting to do something with yellow, I feel like it could fit in nicely! I got so many ideas too, aahh I can’t wait to show you!!”

The Zen’in and your family would eventually come to think that maybe Naoya’s bottomless spending when it comes to doting you, as well as your willingness to enable his behavior might not be the best approach…

But unfortunately, your husband doesn’t care, quickly shutting down any unrequited comments before they came your way, focusing instead on nurturing the happy, safe family he always dreamed of having with you.

If you wanted to have matching outfits for you and the baby every day, then Naoya would take you to every store necessary, indifferent if it was on the other side of the country, or give you his credit card to order online, all depending on your mood, since pregnancy made you far more exhausted, as expected.

Which of course, Naoya was dutifully prepared for, showing how serious he was in preserving your wellbeing by arranging weekly, if not daily spa days for you to simply relax and unwind, only the best masseurs were allowed to tend to his wife—the slightest mistake would be met by his reproach, which thankfully rarely occurred since he mostly liked to be involved himself (jealous, perhaps?)

Your absolutely favorite moment had to be when he stood behind you, placing his hands just beneath your belly to relieve pressure from the baby by carefully lifting it, a gesture that while simple, made you just about the happiest woman in the world.

As well as the most miserable when he had to stop.

“You’re the worst husband!” you’d cry, pouting as he eventually retreated. Naoya tries his best to not laugh at the adorable way you complained, but he could only do so much when it came to you. “Why would you even do that if you’re going to leave?”

“I didn’t mean to, princess. But I gotta do things too, you know?”

“...Like what?” You frown. “What could possibly be more important than me??”

“Nothing, ever.” He smiles, carefully wrapping his arms around you and resting them over your stomach. “But you do know you can go to the bedroom to rest, right? You don't have to worry about any duties or such, our baby comes first. And if anyone dares bother you, just let me know—they’ll get what’s coming to them…”

“... I know, I know, but… I just wanted to be with you the most I could before you left.” you eventually admit, looking up to him with those teary, round eyes that always made him putty. “You’re leaving soon, aren’t you?”

Naoya feels his heart clench with regret, sorrowful when reminded of the truth.

“Yes, I have a mission.”

“Why do you even go on so many missions?” you protest. “I mean, I get it but—but you’ve been working so much this year, and we’re expecting a baby too! Shouldn’t you… shouldn't you have some time for your family as well? You deserve it—I deserve it!”

“Yes, I do. And you’re not the only one that thinks that, but as the heir and sorcerer, I also have—”

“It’s almost like you’re married to them, and not me.” you frown, looking away; he doesn’t need to hear more to know that you’re very upset (and even then, that might be an underestimation) by his frequent absence, but also, perhaps mainly, anxious for the arrival of the baby.

It was only natural that you’d feel that way, after all, your little dumpling was set to come in just a few weeks, introducing you to the last, most crucial moments of your pregnancy.

The doctors asked you to be cautious, reduce stress to the bare minimum and continue having a healthy routine, but that was always easier said than done, and though you’ve done your best thanks to the constant comfort and reassurance of those you loved, such as your family…

They could never compare your husband, whom you only missed more and more with each passing day as he was forced to undergo missions after missions, after missions.

You might not lack anything at home, and was greatly appreciative of it too, but all the things in the world could never replace his company, no matter how much you tried to tell yourself otherwise.

And thus, he takes one of the many decisions that not only proves his commitment to you, but the depth of his feelings, how excited he was for this new stage in his life, setting an example to his future as a husband and father.

“I'll stay home from now on.” Naoya promises, taking you in his arms and kissing the top of your head, before gently cupping your face, swiping away the tears on your cheeks and sealing his words with another kiss on your lips. “I'll arrange someone to take my missions, I won't leave you alone, I swear.”

The two couldn’t care less if the whole world was against both, as long as you had each other, everything would be alright.

Exactly what he intended to do, from the very moment his heart became yours, he vowed to do whatever it took to be by your side whenever you needed him, in the good and in the bad, for better or for worse…

Until one day, unfortunately, he couldn't.

hahaha well I decided to connect this one thing with another thing I have planned in the future... detailing more of naomi's relationship with her dad and y/n's second pregnancy...

Also Naoya is like super detached (acts like it, he's not) when it comes to your decisions about getting stuff for Naomi, but if you buy matching outfits for the two he will die of cuteness. Test it. :) he loves it.

My Player of The Month (Christian Pulisic x Reader)

Christian was just announced as December's Serie A Player of The Month, and after the  home match versus AS Roma, he was pulled to the side of the pitch for a post-match interview. The reporter who interviewed him started with congratulating him for the award then asked him a few questions. One of the questions was what inspired him to do very well on the pitch, especially last month – since he got the POTM title – and before he revealed his inspiration, he looked at Y/N, who was standing a little further on the side, and bit his lip for a short while before his lips formed a wide grin he thought was unnoticeable.

“Umm… My life partner, Y/N. They really motivated me and will always do in the best ways they can and so, whenever I do well on the pitch, they will always get all the credits.” Christian proudly answered.

“I’m better as a player on the pitch and a person off the pitch because of them.” He added without letting Y/N leave his sight.

Y/N heard what Christian said and immediately blushed, then shyly waved their hand off their face trying to deny his ‘claim’. Christian noticed them and giggled.

“Look at them,” as he shamelessly pointed at embarrassed Y/N, “they’re trying to deny it but they know I said nothing but facts!” He laughed. “They get me going, always.”

The reporter let out an “Awww!” so loudly because he was loving the admiration Christian has towards Y/N – not only that, the genuine supportiveness between Y/N and Christian felt like one of a kind, like the world truly revolves around them.

“It feels like it’s Christian Pulisic and Y/F/N’s world and we’re all just living in it!” The reporter laughed.

He then offered to bring Y/N in to join the interview. “Would you bring them here to talk with us?” 

Usually, Y/N and Christian don’t really like to show their relationship off and try to do less PDA (public display of affection) just because they both prefer to keep things between themselves. But this time, Christian decided to show Y/N to the world, so he agreed to bring them in and called Y/N by whistling at them, then signaled Y/N to come join the interview with his hands. Y/N refused at first, so Christian excused himself and came towards them to pick them up himself.

“Come on baby, don’t need to be shy.” He gently whispered while stroking Y/N's shoulder to calm and convince them.

Y/N was nervous because they were not used to being in front of a camera, but at the time, suddenly Y/N felt a change of heart and could no longer refuse Christian.

“Uh… Alright, lead the way…” Y/N reluctantly agreed.

Christian grabbed Y/N’s hand and took them back to the interview spot.

Once Y/N got there and stood in front of the camera, the reporter excitedly greeted them. They weren’t comfortable at first, but with one of Christian’s hands holding theirs and the other hand gently stroking their upper arm, they felt more at ease.

“So, Y/N, how do you feel with Christian winning December’s Player of the Month and credited you as his biggest inspiration?” The reporter asked Y/N.

“Well, I wouldn’t take the credit because I know this guy has worked his butt off the entire time since he joined the club,” they stated, “so all I can say is that with his own hard work and determination that I have the privilege to witness, he’s purely earned the ‘Player of the Month’ title on his own.”

This time, Christian was the one who was blushing like crazy – he was utterly unaware and completely speechless!

“How proud can you say you are of him?” The reporter threw another question at Y/N.

“Oh, proud is an understatement!” Y/N exclaimed.

“I think at this point he is sick of hearing how proud I am of him.” Y/N laughed as they playfully pinched Christian’s cheek .

“But I will never get tired of saying it and will always mean every word.” Y/N continued as they gazed into his eyes.

Everyone who was watching could tell how swoon Christian was – his face couldn’t hide anything at this point.

“See? I do have the best partner in life.” Christian added a little comment as he kissed Y/N’s forehead.

“Oh I can feel my heart melting!” The reporter commented before he closed the interview. “Congratulations once again, Christian, and have a wonderful time celebrating you two!” 

“Thanks for having us!” Christian said while he shook the reporter’s hand before leaving the pitch with you.

As you both walked out the pitch, he whispered at you, “What an answer you had, baby…”

“I know right!? And I don’t even need any media training!” Y/N replied as they jokingly stuck their tongue out at Christian.

“Yeah okay, no need to brag…” Christian shook his head while his hand caressed the top of Y/N’s head.

“By the way, I’ll never get tired of hearing how much you’re proud of me.” He added.

“I know,” Y/N nodded, “because to me, you will always be my player of the month.”

Christian smiled, then leaned in to give a quick yet loving kiss on Y/N’s lips.

Hellooooo! Saw the last ask about tarot cards and while you don't have to answer this, I'd like to give the meanings of the cards that we've seen in the chapter titles, which I'll let others make the connections cause this is already gonna be pretty long if you choose to answer this ask lol

Please note all of these are the general information and meanings about the cards (upright) I could find and the meanings can slightly vary depending on the kind of reading being done and the paired cards <3

Chapter 1: Death. Generally this actually refers to new beginnings and change! It's also a good reference to the talk of sight and death in the first chapter imo, very clever play on your part!

Chapter 2: Seven of Cups. This generally is interpreted as having many options or multiple possibilities, which can either be a comfort due to having options but also could inform you of a sense of being overwhelmed due to too many choices.

Chapter 3: Page of Wands. Often this means good news that should be coming to you soon (often represented by mail or a phone call wink wonk) though for the particular chapter I feel it's relevant to point out some other interpretations, including but not limited to: being inspired or creative, making new exciting plans, finding something you are passionate about, and having a tendency to rush into new things without thinking them through.

Chapter 4: Two of Pentacles. Oft a representation of trying to find or maintain the balance of various aspects of ones life! It can also be a warning to those trying to juggle too many things at once.

Chapter 5: Trochomancy. Not sure if this is a tarot card, I've never heard of it and I can't find anything about it in any of my sources so. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ though I did find a definition of the word from a simple Google search: "Trochomancy is a divination by interpreting the wheel tracks." Which plays in well with our little bike trip.

Chapter 6: The Moon. The simplest interpretation for this card generally is that everything is not as it seems, be it a person or a situation in your life.

Chapter 7: Three of Pentacles. This generally is seen as a good card in a reading, often representing things like learning and/or apprenticeship, hard work, dedication, and building on success or foundations!

Chapter 8: Seven of Pentacles. Generally, this card tells you that you've been working very hard and soon your hard work will pay off. A wonderful successor to a card like the Three of Pentacles! You've used these very cleverly, it makes me so happy to see these pair so well with each other and the chapters!!! New thing to be insane about your fic!

Chapter 9: Clamomancy. ALAS! Stuck again with one I've not heard of as a card or can find in my sources, my apologies. But, again, I could find a definition from the ever reliable yet not so reliable Google! "Fortune-telling from the random shouts and cries heard in crowds, at night, etc." I. AM. STARING. 👁️👁️

Chapter 10: Two of Cups. A little ironic considering it's general upright reading interpretation and how the chapter starts out lol. Two of Cups often means things should be going well for you and your life should be very harmonious. It can also mean harmony and mutual respect friendships/partnerships, and all in all has a lot to do with balance regarding life and relations.

Chapter 11: Six of Swords. At the time of writing all this out I actually haven't read this one yet so I'm very excited to see how the cards meanings apply to this chapter! This card generally means moving on or making progress (love that idea), but can also be interpreted as escaping/running away (👁️👁️) or travel! But most often means things like the calm after the storm (👁️👁️) I'm excited to find out how these apply!

I need you to know I actually love you (platonically) for being this amazingly creative and playing these so well!

Thankyou for going to all the effort of writing these! <3 Some of the chapter titles do play into the reversed readings of the cards too, which is something that's worth considering if you want to deep dive!

I anticipate GITM being 100+ chapters so while I intend to use the entire major and minor arcana Tarot as titles, I will also be including some Astral Houses, Lenormand Cards, divinatory practices and philosophical ideas to fill the gaps!

hellooooo! slightly strange question from a gay little fox that's been on very low dose hrt for quite some time, but has recently actually started going up in dose (bureaucracy bleh) I'm in a similar boat with trying to eat more (I got that ARFID momenc so textures hate me and my extended family) but it really sucks because it feels like none of my progress feels like progress I still feel flat ass wise and boobs wise and I recently broke out of being underweight but I don't really feel like I look any different how long have you been on HRT? Also how long have you been trying to enthiccen lol also... when does the icky feeling go away? I'm tired of looking in mirrors and still seeing the twiggy boy who starved themselves for years half on accident.

Henlo. I have been on HRT for roughly 2 years and 6 months at this point. HRT might have some trouble changing moving the fat around if you don't have much to work with. i wrote some tips that worked for me personally to gain weight, but ill post them here too for your convenience.

Henlo. Well, some of these might be unhealthy so just a disclaimer. An easy but not so wise thing you can do is to simply just add more oil to whatever you eat. this will easily add a bunch more calories.

Another thing that people might do is that they only eat WHEN THEY FEEL hungry. Try to eat before you feel hungry. and if you're the type to only drink water(i am) try to drink some fruit juice so its not too unhealthy but you're getting calories from your liquids.

Also, eat some snacks if you don't have a habit of doing so. It doesn't have to be chips or doritos(i dont like them, sorry) they can just be a casual onigiri or just a small meal.

Those are the things that helped me, at least. Hope it helps!

Wanted to ask, what do you think would've happened if Don Hermes found out about the Sinister Plan? I think that regardless of the point in the story he would probably be unable to forgive Armando for it and might be the biggest deterrent for Betty to be with/accept Armando back, but I wanted to know what you think and what possibilities you see!

Oh, I love this question!!! It has multiple answers depending on when he finds out and how. that would have definitely been a big stone! Big enough to have been the plot of a sequel or of a whole other part of ysblf (that ik couldn't be, but it had the potential), or, simply, ending it all on tragedy.

I'll go for him finding out after Cartagena and through Armando. My first idea was him finding during Cartagena and through her diary, becaus I think the novela mainly nodded to that (given how he eyed the diary when Betty was leaving and how foña Julia mentioned he might try to read it), but after thinking it through, I think that if don Hermes had read through Betty's perspective how it all went down, how it shattered her, how it's not the first time a man manipulated her like this, and how she thinks her life is nothing but a "cycle of tragedy", he wouldn't have let her go back to Ecomoda at all. His protection style is avoiding the thing that can hurt her, like how he isolated her from the kids who mistreated her as a kid and how he didn't want to let her go to that "date" with Roman's friend. And it all would have ended right there, with Ecomoda back in th Mendozas/Valencias' hands for a microsecond before being eaten alive by the debts, lenders, and banks.

So instead I think the only way it could have worked and the relationship between A&B would have still happened would have been if he had known it all after the relationship started. Otherwise, he wouldn't have let Armando get anywhere near Betty. Probably Betty wouldn't even be allowed to go back to Ecomoda! The novela made a big point of Don Hermes not finding out under any circumstance.

I'm sure no one would tell him the truth, so I think he would have needed to find out on his own. Maybe he heard a rumor, or maybe he found something like the diary or a copy of the letter

Point is, he learns the truth, ans immediately his half-hearted tolerance of the relationship becomes full on disapproval

He already knows a few things that I'm honestly baffled about him just forgetting and approving of so quickly: that Betty was Armando's mistress and that they did semi ilegal business together

Add on top of that that Armando used Betty like that, and don Hermes definitely would have absolutely disapproved

So I think the pressure of having almost no support from the people that they cared the most would have hurt a lot

It would bring them down a lot, because for them it's important to have their parents' support

But by the time the engagement comes, Armando is sort of okay with knowing his dad is basically out of his life and his mom is very reluctantly in it

Margarita is not only angry about what happened with Marcela, but she's also angry about how quickly he went to Betty. ((With her too I think her quick acceptance of her was mainly due to lack of time))

Eventually don Hermes would have to tolerate Armando, but they would never form a good relationship

In general, as long as don Hermes finds out AFTER they are together, I don't think much bad would happen! I think Armando and Betty were ready and willing to fight for the other by that point. But if it were to happen during Cartagena or immediately after??? Or if he finds out through her diary??? Hell no, all hell would break loose! Don Hermes would get his gun and threaten Armando at gunpoint to never get near Betty again. He would forbid Betty from going back to Ecomoda. If Armando tried to go again to the house he'd be kicked out.

It's a lot of different possibilities depending on when he finds out!

the situation with the RV sounds like a nightmare tbh, but it does open a door for some delulu discussion about, say, Olli and Allu both drawing the short straw and ending up with no bed for the night, so they're forced to sort of sit in some corner and cuddle under a blanket to try and make themselves at least a little more comfortable 🥺

hellooooo 💕💘💖💘 honestly yeah, it's fucked up that they had to tour in those conditions, but at the same knowing those fuckers, they would've said stuff like "remember those years back when we weren't famous? and slept seated in a smaller van? we can do this again, it will be worth it if we became known in the US market" or something like that

buuuuut speaking of cuter things, omg yessssss 😭🥺😭🥺😭🥺 i'm gonna bring this one thing for reference and put everything under a read more because there's a lot of text lol

so these are the plans for the RV lol don't ask how I found them but trust the diagonal positioning of the sink 💀

I imagine them sitting opposite each other in that place labeled "dinette" (bottom right space next to the copilot's seats) trying to keep the other awake because they don't wanna fall asleep over the table (Allu has quite the Experience Working Until Late and doesn't want Olli to suffer as he does each morning when he wakes up in his studio)

they cannot talk because there are two other people sleeping in the sofa bed next to them, so they find another way of communicating, either by using whatsapp or through the notes app on their phones

then Allu takes quite the time to reply, maybe because he's remembering one meme that reminded him of Olli but now he can't find it, so when he looks back at Olli he's already asleep while sitting, with his head resting on his hand and that's a big no for him

so in a moment of 'fuck everything' Allu steps over the table and towards where Olli is, sitting next to him and pulling him into a "comfortable" position (where Allu is sitting with his back against the wall, and a sleepy Olli is sitting between Allu's legs) kinda like this?

Olli, of course, doesn't remember anything the next morning, and suddenly finds himself cuddling with Allu under a blanket 🥰💘💖 his heart is racing because this is one of the things he has been thinking about for a while, but he's afraid of waking up Allu and chooses to enjoy the moment to make it last longer

once they are waken up by their bandmates they don't speak about it, Allu too embarassed because he thinks he crossed a line, and Olli too busy remembering how Allu's hands felt wonderful resting on his tummy and how much he wants this to happen again and again and again

maybe someone in the band volunteers to do the soundcheck for them, just so that they can have a little nap and feel well rested before playing that night's show

Olli drags Allu back into the van, making a beeline for the bedroom, and once they're laying in bed he thanks Allu for keeping him comfortable last night, and apologizes for falling asleep 🥺🥺 Allu says that he would like to sleep next to Olli this time, cuddling again, and who is Olli to deny him such a simple request?

when they wake up, a few hours later, the first thing they see is each other and oops, maybe they realize that they have some Feelings for each other, so it's only natural for them to finally lean into a sweet kiss 💖

(or maybe Aleksi asks for a massage because his back hurts like hell and Olli gives him that and so much more, who knows 😏)

and well, for both Olli and Allu, it doesn't matter where they will have to sleep the next night, as long as it's next to each other 🥰💖💘

11) what do you consider to be romance?

This might not exactly meet the criteria here, but the first thing I thought of was a story about my parents. My dad worked away a lot when I was growing up, and he was usually away all week and only home on the weekends. He was working long hours and my mom was obviously looking after me alone, but they ALWAYS spoke to each other every night. It's not some bold gesture or big moment - it's just two people wanting to talk to their partner about their day. It didn't really strike me as that important when I was a kid but now it's one of my fondest memories

14) what's something you've always wanted to do but maybe been too scared to do?

I want to travel, but I'd be doing it alone and it always feels like a huge big scary thing. I don't mind doing things alone tbh, but the thought of being somewhere unfamiliar is pretty daunting. I want to go to America again, and I want to go to Japan. I might try baby steps and go to like, Edinburgh or something first - technically leaving the country but not really???

27) any nicknames?

Rox is the go to. Roxy is technically short for my full name but it doesn't feel like one because everyone calls me that?? I always get a warm fuzzy feeling when people call me Rox because it feels like they're shortening my name which feels like friendship. The other one is Rokka, which only my dad ever calls me (don't ask how he got to that, I do not know, but it's been my nickname from him since I was little)

35) do you trust easily?

Yes and no. Generally I wear my heart on my sleeve and I'm very open with people and I try to see the best. My aim is to be full of love at all times and to help as many people as i can. I do struggle to reach out when I'm actually in need of help though. I'm great at helping other people, and I can give some GREAT advice - I'm just not good at letting people in in return. I also sometimes don't trust that other people genuinely like me, but I'm trying to get better with that!

1: what got you into this story?

honestly, in a word? rebelliousness. I'd been told I wouldn't want to watch JoJo's Bizarre Adventures several times. The thing that pushed me over the edge was that my uncle saw me looking at his bookshelf entirely filled with JoJo and said I probably wouldn't like it, and I wanted to decide for myself. Also, I've been told not to watch JJBA while learning Japanese because the Japanese in it is really weird, and I can confirm this is true! But what am I learning Japanese for if not to know exactly how people misuse it?? I mean, I'm learning the language primarily to watch anime with. Come on.

what hooked me on JoJo was the absurdity. It employs clown-style humor—exaggeration past the bounds of even typical comedy which forces you past the edge of what you can consciously accept as real. watching JoJo requires ego death, and I kind of love that <3

5: do you have a favorite character? who?

oh this is so hard because JoJo has an enormous cast and I have many favorites (Jotaro, Kakyoin, Dio, Okuyasu, and Kars are the ones that come to mind), but overall, I'd say that Jotaro Kujo (JoJo number three) is the character who got deepest into my heart.

He's seventeen years old when he manifests a physical expression of his soul and thinks it's an evil spirit. He willingly goes to jail to protect everyone from it. While he's in jail, the "spirit" brings him creature comforts including blankets, manga, and cigarettes. Everyone in his cell is terrified of him because he's surly, silent, and exudes an aura of intense danger. Meanwhile, he's just reading his manga in silence and missing his mom. This is Jotaro Kujo in a nutshell: a self-aware manga main character, a guy whose affect comes off like a stone cold killer but who is actually just a quiet, awkward nerd trying to protect everyone he loves from dangers principally including himself. CRIES FOREVER. Jotaro.....

6: do you have a LEAST favorite character? who?

oh, man, well, there are a lot of really horrible and really horribly written characters in JoJo. But the one I have the most visceral loathing for is the villain Alessi, who likes to turn people into kids and humiliate them for fun. That creep deserved what he got.

7: how does the story compare to your initial impressions of it? has it surprised you yet? how?

Yeah, it's surprised me. For one thing, JJBA kind of has a reputation online that made me expect it to be... gayer. Not that it's not playing around with gender and sexuality, but it's weirdly a lot more subtle than I thought it would be. The way that JJBA examines masculinity is surprisingly complex, what can I say!! It exaggerates and heightens masculinity to the point of the absurd, to the point of looping back around into femininity, to the point of questioning our ideas of masculinity and femininity themselves; although maybe that's just me reading too much into it. Sometimes it's hard to tell, lol. but I'm getting a lot of excellent thoughts out of examining JJBA and gender and sexuality in critical but non-judgmental earnest :]

13: tell me an out-of-context piece of worldbuilding or lore!

oh boy.

okay, so, get this: Rhythmic Breathing is the opposite of vampires, because breathing puts OXYGEN in your BLOOD CELLS, whereas vampires take your blood OUT of your YOU. and FURTHERMORE oxygen lights tiny FIRES in your cells, which is like THE SUN, which famously KILLS VAMPIRES. so, through the power of breathing techniques, humans can kill vampires with their bare hands. <3

did I mention that JJBA starts out as a gothic vampire story? an 1880s vampire hunting story? :)))

14: how likely do you think this story is to break a reader's heart?

If you're the kind of person to get attached to side characters, quite likely!!! however, it's fundamentally un-serious, so it's not necessarily going to leave you with a gaping hole in your chest for the rest of time like a lot of tragedies do.

The whole idea of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is that it's a generational epic. Every Part (there are Parts 1 through 6 in the original timeline) follows a different main character (all nicknamed JoJo) from the Joestar family; it spans six generations. and, uh, not to get too spoiler-y, but. a lot of the characters die. including the main characters and the secondary characters that people get most attached to. so. yeah. like half of my favorites are dead at this point.

19: pitch an idea for a sequel or spinoff novel for this story!

alsdkfjslkdfss like JoJo's isn't already a series of sequels and spinoffs <333 but I did write this ask game, so I brought this upon myself.

how about this: I'd like to see a spinoff novel that's just straight-up slice of life about Jotaro getting his PhD in marine science while living with trauma <333 (the crowd continues fidgeting idly, unsurprised that Robin, local plotless trauma story enjoyer, wants another plotless trauma story about her favorite character)

22: FREE SPACE: say anything you want about the story!! <3

Here's a short bit of musing on why I'm willing to immerse myself in a story that has so many things that make me feel uncomfortable (including gore, crude language, and sexualization of both women and men), speaking to the best of my ability:

First of all, no one has to do this. Of course not. But. it can be a growing experience to expose yourself to fiction that makes you uncomfortable. Personally, I have a tendency to get defensive and shut down when I'm uncomfortable, which doesn't help anything and just makes me unavailable to connect to people. And fiction is a guide, showing people how to process things through fiction before they feel safe/confident enough to approach them in real life. Exposing myself to stuff like JJBA has been helping me to learn to process fear, revulsion, moral conflict, confusion, and absurdity. In other words, watching JJBA is giving me the cognitive tools and experience to be able to listen to and dialogue with people who are different from me. I'm experiencing the world in a more vulnerable, yet resilient way. And that's—that's priceless.

lol I'm happy to encourage posting, although I don't think I'm the best expert on what's a "popular" tag since half the time I tag like a feral racoon trying to catalogue different genres of garbage I'm gnawing on. Ultimately, though, tagging shouldn't be about what's popular anyways - you should always aim to tag accurately as opposed to what will get attention, since the tags are there to warn/advertise what's in the fic itself. Especially important for any sensitive topics that you might cover. (I also usually include content warnings in my fic notes, too, just to be sure, but I'm overly cautious lol). Aiming to tag as much of what's actually in your fic as possible is usually a good rule of thumb.

If you're not sure what tags would apply or what to call them, then you can usually just glance through the tags on other fics to see what people use and check that against what's in your fic. That usually gives me some ideas!

The only other tagging advice I have is: don't worry about "spoiling" things that happen. The tags are kinda supposed to do that, and people that don't want spoilers won't read them, but people who want or NEED the spoilers need those tags to be accurate so they can take care of themselves in what they read. Again, this is more important with sensitive topics, but even if it's just fluff or smut, some people don't like that, and tagging it correctly helps them curate their experience.

ha, WELL... that's a twiyor practice kissing fic that i haven't touched in months *cries* tbh i'm not sure if i'm going to finish it (or if i do, it probably won't be for a long time akdfjdk). for some reason i just lost like all motivation for it 🥲 i think part of it was i didn't really know what i wanted to happen in like the entire second half of it lol but maybe inspiration will strike me again eventually.
