Nick with attitude, who would like everyone to know that he is perfectly fine. Digimon Survive: Truth, Love, and KUNEMON!!! update 🐛

(AKA, the name of my Truthful Route playthrough).

I’m near the end of Part 8 so it’s about to get… wild? Honestly, I have no idea, rotfl!)

Some catch-up thoughts since I’ve been pretty slow to play and it’s been awhile since my last update (parts 5&6 spoilers below):

SHUUJI MADE SUCH A 180 TURN IN THE SPACE OF ABOUT 5 MINUTES AHAHAHA but Truthful Route Shuuji is soooooooo! He’s such!!!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaa LET THE HEALING BEGIN!!!!!! 💖

My heart. When Lopmon called out to him so joyfully after the first time they were in sync enough to evolve: 🥺💖😭👏👏👏🙏 🙌

And then almost IMMEDIATELY you could trigger the Antylamon evolution. ROTFL!!!! Like, I get it, this pair is operating on a compressed timeline, but my roleplay-loving butt was like NO. TOO SOON. So I made sure to use Turuiemon for at least a few battles to give the two of them some space to breathe, haha. Every Shuuji/Lopmon dialogue now is like. 🥺 I’m so happy for them! 😭

(Side note: my first playthrough, I was LEGIT yelling at Kaito for not punching Shuuji That Time and just standing there watching bad things happen because honestly he seemed like the type. Him not being the one to throw The Punch for plot reasons aside, subsequent playthroughs have made it clear to me that he’s NOT the type to do that, and that’s actually very clearly established by the rest of the game! It’s ONLY for Miu that he will resort to physical violence.)

I do love Ryo so much though. His dialogue moments are few and far between, but oh how they deliver!! Absolutely LOVED his and Kunemon’s training sequence where they were working on detailed observational skills, as well as JewelBeemon’s evolution cutscene! 😂 JewelBeemon really Michigan J. Frog’d his partner when it came to talking in front of Takuma, and I’m DYING. Poor Ryo!

After certain recent events that, surprisingly, didn’t get Taryn fired, Father had been awefully quiet for some time. At least until now. Using his personal phone, which he had altered to be untraceable by anyone outside of the ones he’s calling, he decided to call her best employee. And he nervously sang an old tune. His singing is not at all refined, and it’s clear that he doesn’t fully understand what he’s doing, but he’s just trying so hard right now.

----- WELL, what a delightfully unexpected surprise. After the extended radio silence, Taryn had become slightly worried that she'd made her boss uncomfortable, but a great weight was lifted from her shoulders just by seeing his name appear on her phone.

" нello, вenedιcт, " she said sweetly, much less professional than she usually would. An action she almost regretted until that nervous, gentle singing came through the other line. Pressing a hand over her mouth, she couldn't help but smile and blush, her heart fluttering as she listened in.

Still, she leans on her desk like a moonstruck lover, listening to the unrefined singing with a dreamy expression on her rosy features, humming with soft, delighted laughter when he finishes his little song.
