They are like marionettes, strings along their joints, pulled at when needed, danced around in circles, spinning in golden and gilded ballrooms, elaborate keeps, and fields of battles, spun around as if there's some great underlying story to tell. Yet, the music that plays, that rings in his ears, is a different melody than one that pulls at his arms, moving him through this world. If there is control, he feels devoid of it - as if he hasn't been drug through hell before, and now this is a new sweet kiss of it, lady misery laying her face low against his and whispering all of those things, telling him he is locked to this role, locked to those strings, chained like a twin in a city rotting across the sea.
All of this crashes on him like a wave, pulling him under for a moment. It hits him, through crystal words and perfect skies, in the middle of a meeting in the middle of Skyhold. It sinks him, a deep undertow as his eyes find ice, across the room. Ice that he has known that has cut through Kirkwall, left her frozen and in pause, a great dichotomy considering she lies across the sea, on fire, in pieces, half a pulse, half a people and here are two of them - culprits, in her near death, her near flatline, her hand in hand to a funeral pyre.
Ice. @idolbound
Lyrium.
He chews his lip, and Ruffles says something; it is drowned out by the melody behind his ears, the thrumb against the palm of his hand, and he shakes out his hand. It doesn't go unnoticed, but he plays it off - a flourish, a smile, a mending injury, and Ruffles draws them back to where they will all be shipping out next to. Orders, always, orders. Yet, he doesn’t groan at these; rather, he’s reminded that this is a mission handed down from the highest degree with the highest care. He knows that’s bullshit; he knows how these are picked; it’s less a lotto and more of who needs to go and simmer somewhere else. Rarely is he on the receiving end, as it’s normally he signs up for it - a way to avoid sand, sun, and maybe snow. He regrets this one; he should have gone with the Inquisitor on their trek to the great wide wherever in Orlais ( she had given him the option this time, well, just this once - as the never-ending sea of wildflowers and broken bones of buildings had been a change of pace, but the fade drawing far too low made him sick at the same time - at the expense of Blackwall’s boots ).
So here he stands, an emissary, a babysitter - a warden to those needing oversight. A great jailer, and he had come to this inquisition in chains, no better than those across the table from him. Like the ice, he dares to meet again. Heavy is the crown, he supposes, listening - half listening, not listening, half paying attention until he meets ice again. Then he’s on those docks, on those steps, watching her walk by someone on the street, watching a pickpocketing happen, watching the whole city unravel at the seams, coming undone like a ball of yarn.
Makes sense; Kirkwall is a bag of cats. Several bags of cats, if he’s honest, and this time he is. So that great undertow he had mentioned, that great current leading him, washing him back up on the shore, to Kirkwall instead drops him back in Josephine's office instead, and he is still face to face with a quarter, maybe less, of those bags of cats. He knows what comes next; he’s assigned a team for some upcoming mission - a date pending, and Meredith, that ice he’s mentioned at least three times now, ends up on his roster. He is not plunged into some great cold water, nor is he taken by surprise. Ruffles does what she does best, and her coordination is paramount, a service even to their inquisition and their inquisitor. Yet.
Yet.
Yet, for a moment.
For a moment, he wants to say Josephine’s impressively long and titled name and add some epithets onto it, glorious, golden, insulting epithets. Others move around them, yet Varric remains, rooted in place, eyes still on Meredith, even as the other members of their team filter past him.
“I guess we should talk.” He states, turning, one boot on the step in front of him and out of the office. “If this is going to work that is.” It’s not an entire dismissal, but it is harsh, dripping with latent anger, crumpled and discarded somewhere under rubble. The light in him flickers, and he shakes his head.
“C’mon, follow me.” He states it’s not aggressive, nonchalant. There is no Hanged Man here; he will not take her into the garden, and those souls lingering out there will not rest with the beast lingering within him and the deeds inside her heart. So he moves, rather to the door and into the Great Hall. There is that roar of people. It reminds him of a roar of a square somewhere far across the sea. Toiling in a troublesome manner, taking his earnings to rebuild and regrow, like a vine against stone - Kirkwall too, she will rise, out of ash, smoke fire, the templar that follows the stone of his back. He cuts through the noise, to his fireplace - a nearly holy second place.
Home? No, that wanders, meanders somewhere far from here, changing like the tides, but his desk is a refuge of books and papers along with several chairs. “Take a seat, or move the books out of one; I’m behind as always.” He jests; it’s half flat, pained nearly, but his ears are still ringing, anger and blood coursing quietly through his veins. If it were any other, he would offer tea or something stronger; rather, he takes a seat as well.
Words have been building, toiling in the pit of his being for months, for years even, but they turn to ash. Like Haven, like the conclave, like Kirkwall - like the both of them, both of them stuck in some endless cycle and unable to give it up. “Well, this is going to be a change.”
No shit.
“First,” He starts, without thinking, getting himself ahead of his mind, “I don’t tolerate bullshit on my teams; that’s a way to get your ass sent back to Skyhold.”

Dudley: Got a problem?
Theo: *scared* N-no…

Frankie: I agree with you Merlin, but we need to wait when it’s necessary
Theo: Right
Hurricane: Uh, uuuuuuuh, Dudley! Your steel is ready
Dudley: Perfect! *backs up to his cars*
Frankie: Y-your taking them to Bridlington, right?
Lexi: And not Brendam Docks on Sonar?
Dudley: Oh sure! *he blew his whistle and puffs off*
Dudley puffs out of the Steelworks
Dudley: Heh heh heh! Bridlington? Yeah right! I’m going to Sodor, and I’m gonna get both Thomas and Emily and bring them to my hideout *smirks*

Emily: I agree
Stanley: Good night everyone
All: Good night *they puff into their berths as the doors close*
Thomas: Good night Emily *puffs into his berth*
Emily: Good night Thomas *puffs into her berth*
As the engines were asleep, thunder clapped revealing that Dudley was present
Dudley: Heh heh heh heh heh, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Scene cuts to black

Announcement!
Hello, I wasn't expecting to make this today. I was originally going to do this tomorrow but due to some issues, I have instead decided to do this today.
As for those of you that have not seen the posts, I have been considering leaving Tumblr due to the chaos that was happening in the community. But while I have come to a decision, I guess I Should explain the reasons why 'm doing this.
First is my content. Now I understand that people are busy right now and that's fine, I'm not forcing you to like my content, But I just wish someone would give it a shot and check my essay on which I spend hours on it. The first History related thing I ever did, The Black Death essay got 9 notes while the Korean War essay only has 1.
While I mainly do the blog because history is my passion, It sucks to hear that people almost, if not pay attention to what I do. But that's the least of my problems, Although still a big one.
The second and possibly main reason is the Tumblronpa fiasco. Now, I haven't been here long enough to see how Tumblronpa works, But I have been told of it, Hell I made an oc. But after the drama that went down about that the last few days, I'm genuinely staying away from that now.
I don't know when this drama started, But I think it started when the mod for a Tumblronpa by the name of Dash started getting anon hate from a different source ( the person of which has never been found)
Now I bring Dash up because that might have been the start for me to think about the risks of being on a Tumblronpa, though not enough for me to quit. But things get stranger when another content creator by the name of Mentally Eli disappeared for a while ( She has since returned)
After this, I was starting to get a little nervous not gonna lie, but It still wasn't-enough. But then come the Aliza -chan situation and that's where my hope was shattered. Aliza almost died not once, but twice because of anon hate. It got so bad that she had to leave Tumblr, which was a smart move from Aliza not gonna lie.
But still, that situation and the fact that one of my friends and mutuals tried to off themselves because of anon hate, pretty much shattered my hope of ever being on a tumblronpa. I was fucking terrified.
If you don't know, I'm terrible with anxiety and stress since I was little. Often times I wonder why I exist if I just have no purpose. Keep in mind, I'm a teenager and this whole suicide situation scared the shit out of me.
And really It was the Situation with Aliza- chan as well as Mama Lexi( Although Lexi's was something entirely different from that and had nothing to do with Tumblronpa's or anon hate, Still I highly recommend that you don't disturb her now cause she's not in the best mood) That finally pressured me to make this post and have my overall thoughts on it.
I'm not in the best mood right now and the situations that have been going on have been increasing my stress levels up the roof and my fears of Tumblronpa hate altogether.
But let's get to the big question: Am I leaving Tumblr? Yes and No. Let me explain.
While yes, I said I thought about leaving Tumblr, I'm not willing to delete my blog because of the friends I made on this site as well as the fact that history is my passion. But I won't lie when I say that I Need some time off from this to calm down.
Starting tomorrow, I will be on a break from Tumblr. The ask box is still open, So feel free to send stuff there ( Though I highly doubt you will) and I will be sure to answer them When I come back.
My discord is still open as well, Though don't expect me to answer often on it. I will still answer If I have the time.
As for Tumblronpas? I'm done with it. I refuse to participate in one after what happened, and as well as my mental state not being the best right now, I don't think I can handle the death threats that come my way.
If this means I'm dropping out of Eden's Garden and Lumnieres roleplay blogs, then Yes, I Unfortualney have to drop out. Also, the picrew that I made Samuel in is no longer there, so I can't do any more sprites with him sorry.
But still, I'm staying the hell away from Tumblronpas in general now. If you want to ask me to join a Tumblronpa, I'm sorry, But I will have to decline. No Tumblronpas, No roleplay, I'm done.
Overall, I think that's my reasons for taking a break from Tumblr. I wasn't expecting to make it today, but I guess so. This year has not been kind to me, with some issues going on at home as well as some finals I have to finish up, Plus the fact that people don't care for my content and the whole Tumblronpa situation has broken my mental state.
Let's be honest, No one is going to care about this post or won't even see it. Honestly, I get so used to being discarded and ignored, That I just don't care anymore. No one cares and that is that, I just wanted to get my thoughts off my mind.
So, yeah I will be taking a break, I don't know when I will come back, but Maybe when I get my shit together. I hope you guys have a nice day and this is goodbye for now...

you're the one that brings the sun; chapter 1/6
Summary: Alex is prepared for every single variable except, apparently, the one in which his roommate is drop dead gorgeous and Alex is an absolute clusterfuck of a human being who falls for the first pretty boy on he sees on campus.
Willex roommate au!
Warnings: Swearing
Notes: The title is from the song “I Dare You” by the Regrettes. I’ve actually planned this fic out so here’s to hoping I don’t get burned out halfway through. It might end up having 6 or 7 chapters, 5 is kind of just an estimate.
---
When Alex was 11, his mother proudly plastered his report card to the fridge and exclaimed that one day, her little boy would go to Harvard. His father gripped his shoulder with pride and Alex beamed up at his parents like they’d just told him he had superpowers. 3 years later, he was 14 and teetering on the edge of failure in the majority of his classes. He wasn’t stupid by any means, just preoccupied. He’d started a band with his best friends and that felt like the most important thing in the whole world, and high school was new and scary, so it was easier to not pour all his focus into school. His parents’ smiles faltered but they kept up hope, Alex could tell. 2 years later, he stood shaking and crying outside of the Molina’s garage and suddenly, the concept of going to college begun to feel distant and fake. But he’s 18 now, and somehow, miraculously, gazing at the piles of boxes in the back of Ray’s car and swallowing down a lump in his throat.
It sure isn’t Harvard, but a part of Alex feels giddy at the fact that he’s attending a public college that was relatively easy to get into; oh his parents would be rolling in their proverbial graves. What didn’t make him quite so happy though, was the looming fact that he’d be living with some random person, because for some godforsaken reason, the college wouldn’t allow freshmen to choose their roomates. Some bullshit about meeting new people and socializing.
“Hey, ‘Lex. Dude, you’ll be fine.” Luke shakes his shoulders, before swinging one arm around him and the other around Reggie.
“Says the one who isn’t even going to college,” Alex grumbles, slipping from Luke’s grip and into the front seat of the car.
“Yea cause I don’t need it. Not my fault you’re both nerds,” Luke retorts.
“I’m not a nerd, I just like to have insurance-”
“Yea, back-up plan, safety net, heard it a million times. Reggie’s a nerd though.”
“Old news, dude,” Alex says.
“I am not a nerd!” Reggie protests indignantly.
“Tell that to your 2 years of college credit in math.”
Luke nods in agreement. “Nerd.”
“Math is fun!”
“You’re horrible.” Alex makes a mock gagging noise.
Julie comes bounding out of the house, her arms decked with various baked goods. She tosses herself in the backseat beside Reggie and Luke, looking quite pleased with herself at being able to force Luke to sit in the middle. “Tía was apparently up all night baking,” she explains, passing the sweets up to Alex. “Don’t be surprised if she shows up at your dorm with food every day.”
Alex snorts. “I would not object to that.”
Julie sighs, leaning back in her seat. “You guys are so lucky, I’m tired of high school. Damn September birthday,” Julie grumbles. Her birthday is just after the cut off date, so she would be 18 for the majority of senior year, but is just barely too young to be in the same grade as the boys.
Reggie leans over and pats her arm sympathetically, earning an offended squeak from Luke, who’s only pushed further into the back of the seat.
“Don’t worry!” Alex chirps sarcastically. “You get to spend more time with Luke, since he’ll be squatting in your garage!”
“Oh, joy,” Julie deadpans.
“I am not a squatter!” Luke protests, kicking the back of Alex’s seat.
“No kicking! I’m holding food!”
“Y’know Alex, you’ve been staying in the studio for 2 years, you’re not one to talk!” Luke argues.
“I have a job.”
“A stupid job.”
“A stupid job that gets you free coffee.”
Reggie nodds to that, chewing on a cookie. “Can’t risk losing your coffee privileges.”
Julie groans loudly and stuck her head out the window. “DAAAAD! Let’s goooo!” She cries.
“Wow, I didn’t know you wanted to get rid of me so badly,” Alex says, clutching his chest dramatically.
“Oh shut up Lexi, I just wanna meet your’s and Reggie’s new best friends!” Julie says, laughing.
“I’m not gonna be best friends with my roommate.”
“Yea, Alex forgot how to do that!”
“Luke I will smother you in your sleep!”
At this, Ray approaches the car with a raised eyebrow. “No one’s planning a murder, I hope?” He asks, chuckling as he slides into the drivers seat.
“No sir!” Reggie replies, grinning.
“Not yet,” Alex mumbles under his breath.
“Alright boys, who’s ready for college!” Ray says, starting the car.
“I’m gonna be sick.”
---
“And that’s the last of it!” Ray claps a hand over Alex’s shoulder and smiles encouragingly.
Alex nods tensely, gripping the strap of his fannypack tighter.
The dorm’s probably as good as he’s gonna get. One reasonably sized bedroom complete with two horribly uncomfortable beds, a kitchen with a fridge that was in no way large enough to fit even a weeks worth of meals, a tiny living room that would probably fit a couch and a TV at the most, and a bathroom that smelled suspiciously of mustard. Really it isn’t terrible, but Alex has a habit of noticing every little detail, especially the ones that could be a problem at some point. His roommate hasn’t arrived yet, so he’s standing amongst his various boxes, anxiety pulsing in his chest.
Julie grips his hand tightly and smiles, tears pricking the edges of her eyes. “Hey, Alex, you’re gonna be okay.” She squeezes his hand briefly.
Alex nods, exhaling shakily. “Yea, yea I know. It’s just…”
“A change, I know. But this is a good change. And-” she hauls Reggie and Luke over to them. “-we’re all here if you need to call someone and talk. And dad, and Tía, and I bet your roommate will be super cool.”
“Or a serial killer.”
“Just pray he’s not a football player,” Reggie stage-whispers, shuddering.
“God, don’t even suggest that!” Alex whines.
Encouragements and teary hugs are passed along, as well as a promise to meet at the Olive Garden nearby for dinner in a few hours, and then Alex’s posse is off to get Reggie settled, and Alex is left alone in the dorm. Alright.
Alex takes a deep breath, steeling himself, before beginning to wander the dorm. He’s anxious to start unpacking without his roommate and risk doing something that they wouldn’t like. Even choosing a bed feels wrong, he really doesn’t want to get off on the wrong foot with this person. But leaving the dorm meant people everywhere so that was a definite no. He sighs, lowering himself to the wooden floor and pulling out his phone.
“Yea… uh huh. Yes Caleb, I got here fine. No the Uber driver did not try and kidnap me. The boxes- the boxes are not too heavy. Okay. Okay. Yea, bye. Mhm.”
Alex looks up hesitantly upon hearing the voice nearing his dorm. The person standing in the doorway is well… less of a person and more of a large stack of boxes threatening to fall over any second. “Hello?” Alex stands up and makes his way to the boy stood in the entrance.
Said boy pokes his head out from behind his boxes and grins crookedly. “Hi, uh, I’m Willie!” And well, Alex is a goner. He swallows thickly, breath catching in the back of his throat. Willie attempts to adjust the boxes but ultimately fails, sending them tumbling to the ground amongst several muttered curses. “Well… nothing fragile in there,” he falters slightly. “I think.”
“Um…”
“Right! Sorry, uh.” Willie holds his hand out and Alex shakes it tentatively.
“Alex.”
“Alex, cool.” Willie smiles again, his dark eyes twinkling as he does so, smile lines popping out. He brushes his hair -which looks so soft and pretty- behind his ear to reveal a small golden hoop on his right lobe. Alex is dead, actually 100% dead. Because he’d been prepared for every single variable except, apparently, the one in which his roommate is drop dead gorgeous and Alex is an absolute clusterfuck of a human being who falls for the first pretty boy on he sees on campus.
Alex forces out a smile, all too aware that he’s still standing stiff and awkward in front of Willie, his grip on his fannypack tight enough to make his knuckles glow white. Then Willie coughs as some sort of attempt to fill the silence. “Sorry!” Alex squeaks. “Do you need help with the… the uh, boxes?”
“Oh yea, that’d be great!” Willie replies, beaming. “I don’t think there’s anything fragile in there, but y’know, my memory is absolute shit so if I broke some fancy china dishes I didn’t even know I owned, don’t be too shocked.”
Alex laughs anxiously. “Yea uh… I didn’t start unpacking cause I um… I didn’t want to claim a bed and stuff with-without your input?” His voice cracks at the end and he winces because Jesus fucking christ Alex.
Willie chuckles and Alex notes that he has the kind of laugh that echoes through your whole body and settles right in your heart. “ ‘S cool, man, I don’t mind.”
“Right, cool. Do you uh… are you okay if I take the bed farthest from the window? I’m not- not much of a morning person, and the window is… it’s east facing” Alex mutters, his gaze focused on his feet which are rocking back and forth at a rapid pace.
“Yea, of course,” Willie replies. “I don’t think I’ve woken up later than 8 in 5 years.”
“That’s horrific!” Alex cries, momentarily forgetting his anxiety. He steps back and blushes an even deeper red upon realizing how stupid he’s being. “I mean- I just… sorry, I just meant that-”
“You’re good, dude. I don’t bite.”
Alex cracks a tentative smile. “So uh… I’ll just start unpacking then.”
Willie shoots him a thumbs up and smiles once again, which is a thing he apparently does a lot.
An hour later, Alex’s belongings are unpacked and organized and the room feels a bit more his. He feels slightly lighter, exhaling and closing his eyes briefly. This isn’t so bad. Fiddling with the hem of his hoodie, he shuffles out into the living room where Willie is presumably unpacking. Except that he’s not.
Willie is laying upside down on a couch that somehow appeared while Alex was gone and he’s flipping through a tattered magazine while his belongings remain mostly unpacked.
“This quiz says that I should try roller skating,” Willie sniffs. “Some personality test this is- oh hey Alex!” He scrambles up so that he can look Alex in the eyes properly, and points to the magazine in his hand. “Found this in a box, not sure how it got there since I’ve never even subscribed to one of these, but there’s a chocolate chip cookie recipe in here.” He stops for a moment, pondering. “Personally I prefer peanut butter cookies, ooh especially fresh out of the oven. There’s this bakery near my house that-”
“Did you get… any unpacking done?” Alex asks, raising an eyebrow.
Willie looks around at his boxes and laughs sheepishly. “Well I unpacked one and opened 3 so… some, yes.”
“Where’d the couch come from?” Alex pokes the cushion warily, as if afraid that it’s full of bugs.
“Room across the hall,” Willie says, pointing. “They both brought couches and didn’t have room for two we got the one with more stains.”
“Right.” Alex’s reply is forced and tense, and he winces upon realizing. Truthfully, he hadn’t expected his roommate to become so comfortable so fast and he felt like he was several steps behind. Damn extroverts. Drumming his hands against his thighs, Alex slowly sits down on the other side of the couch, pointedly looking ahead instead of at Willie.
“So.” Willie scoots closer, sitting cross legged with his elbows on his thighs and chin resting in his palms. “What’s your major?”
Small talk, god Alex hates small talk. “Um, music,” he answers.
“Ah, that’s cool dude.” Willie nods.
“Uh, what about you?” Alex asks.
“Art,” Willie replies, grinning. “Be prepared for paint stains, like, everywhere.” He chuckles and nudges Alex’s shoulder playfully. Alex is going to implode, he’s sure of it.
Alex laughs awkwardly. “So uh… what’s wrong with rollerskating?”
Willie shoves his shoulder again. “Everything, dude! Well-” he cuts himself off, thinking. “-I just kinda suck at it, definitely better at my skateboard.” He jerks his head in the direction of a skateboard leaned against the wall and Alex wonders how he didn’t notice that.
“Oh, that’s- that’s cool. I rollerblade but I uh, I can’t skateboard to save my life.”
Somehow, they slip into a comfortable rhythm, and Alex notes that his anxiety no longer has him in a chokehold. Willie seems to have that affect; he’s just so… open. Alex doesn’t realize it yet, but he’s subconsciously created a folder in the back of his mind labelled “Willie,” and he doesn’t think he’s capable of forgetting anything Willie will ever say to him.
“- that’s why airplane food is just, horrible. Cause you basically lose like 30% of your tastebuds because of the elevation.” Willie smiles at Alex, gaging his response.
Alex would rather die than admit that he’s still trying to figure out how the topic of airplane food came up, so he just nods enthusiastically, actively stopping his eyes from dancing across Willie’s face, which is practically glowing in the evening sun. Evening. Shit. Alex pulls out his phone frantically. “Shit.” He says it out loud this time.
Willie’s brow furrows in confusion. “You good, dude?”
“Uh yea I’m just, I’m supposed to be meeting my fam- uh my friends for dinner and I have to be there in like 5 minutes.” He ignores the way Willie’s expression falls, convinced he’s just seeing things.
“Yea um, of course. I won’t keep you.” Willie stands up, his posture the stiffest that Alex has seen it in the whole 3 hours they’ve been acquainted for. “I’ll just… order a pizza.”
Alex hesitates in the doorway, weighing his options, which has never been his strong suit. “Do you want to join me?” He blurts impulsively. Willie looks at him in surprise. “I mean only- only if you want of course, we’ve only really uh, known each other for a few hours and you- you probably don’t want to, it was stupid. I’ll just- I’ll just go-”
“No! I’d… I’d like to, eating pizza alone in the dark sounds a little pathetic,” Willie responds.
Alex smiles genuinely. “Ok, ok that’s uh. Cool. That’s cool.”
---
Alex is already regretting this. The restaurant isn’t too crowded, he notices with a relieved breath. But it’s loud. It’s loud and yet only one group of people is talking. Alex doesn’t even need to guess who.
“Ok but- no- no- the whole song would be better!”
“Say banjo one more time, I dare you!”
“Banjo.”
“Julie, what the hell?! This is betrayal!”
“You stole my breadstick, it’s only fair.”
Alex coughs, quieting the table to a dull roar.
“Alex!” Julie pulls him down to sit next to her. “Oh? Who’s this?” Reggie is grinning wickedly and Luke waggles his eyebrows in a way that makes Alex want to shave them off.
“This is uh, my roommate Willie,” Alex responds, his voice raising an octave. “He didn’t have plans so I uh… I invited him, I hope that’s ok.”
“Of course it’s ok!” Julie pats the space on the other side of Alex and Willie sits down, appearing… oddly nervous.
“Congrats! Your Alex’s first new friend since,” Luke taps his chin, pretending to think. “7th grade.”
Alex’s face promptly falls into his hands. He’s seriously considering the whole, shaving Luke’s eyebrows in his sleep thing.
Reggie leans forward conspiratorially. “What’s your opinion on banjos?” He asks, making a point to ignore Luke’s dramatic complaining.
Willie raises his eyebrows, clearly confused. “Um. No comment?”
“I’m… sorry about them,” Alex says apolegetically. “Uh, this is Luke, Reggie, and Julie-” he gestures to each of them; Reggie waves, beaming happily. “-and Julie’s dad should be…” He trails off, looking around.
“He had to take a phone call, something about Carlos refusing to eat dinner until he proves the house is haunted,” Julie explains, clearly biting back a laugh.
“I… okay.” Alex shakes his head. “Are we waiting for more food or did Reggie eat it all?”
“Ha ha,” Reggie punctuates his statement by sticking out his tongue. “We’re waiting for the actual meals-”
“Yea Luke already ate the entire bread basket.” Julie shoots a glare in Luke’s direction.
“Well… you suggested we get hotdogs,” Luke grumbles, crossing his arms over his chest. “Payback.”
“Okay,” Julie laughs.
Willie leans over to whisper loudly to Alex, “What’s the story with the hotdogs?”
“Don’t tell him!” Luke cries, leaning across the table and slamming his palms down.
“We don’t talk of the hot-dogs,” Reggie mutters miserably.
“Food poisoning.” Alex shudders slightly. “Very bad food poisoning.”
“We almost died,” Reggie says, eyes widening. “Like, for real death. I’m pretty sure I was a ghost for a few seconds.”
“Reg, you were not a ghost,” Alex says, speaking like Reggie’s a 10 year old talking about monsters under his bed.
“I was!”
“You were not!”
“So,” Luke smiles mischievously, taking Reggie and Alex’s bickering as an opportunity to apparently torture the latter. Despite Alex’s warning glares, he turns to Willie with an innocent expression. “What kind of music do you like?”
“Luke,” Alex hisses, all too familiar with Luke’s antics.
“Hmmm.” Willie is painfully oblivious to Alex’s panicked expression as he mulls over his answer. “A lot of stuff really.” He shrugs. “Rock, pop, I like those lo-fi playlists when I’m trying to study.”
Luke nods, clearly pleased with the answer, but he isn’t done and Alex wants to hide under the table. He knows what’s coming next. “Thoughts on… drummers?”
“Luke.” Alex is seconds from lunging across the table.
“Drummers?” Willie asks, tilting his head confusedly.
“Yup,” Luke says, popping the p and still smiling like he’s some sort of innocent puppy-dog and not an absolute bastard.
“Hot,” Willie jokes. Alex can’t even hide the way he manages to choke on his own spit, and Luke and Reggie have never been great at subtlety, turning to Alex with matching shit-eating grins. Willie either doesn’t notice or is kind enough not to comment on it. “Yea, pretty sure young Roger Taylor was my gay awakening.”
Reggie is full on giggling now, and Alex’s entire face is gleaming a bright red. Willie glances around the table, puzzled.
“Mhm.” Luke nods before swiftly turning to Alex. “Hey Alex, by the way, you left your drumsticks in the car, do you need them back?” His voice is sickeningly sweet, coated in some sort of poisoned honey. It’s Willie’s turn to choke on nothing, failing to disguise it as a spontaneous coughing fit.
“Fine,” Alex squeaks as he sinks further down in his seat. If he pulls out his phone and messages Luke a flurry of threats, that’s no one’s business. He dares a glance at Willie, who has become quite fascinated with his hands, which are tapping out a mindless rhythm on the table, his cheeks and the tips of his ears dusted red.
Needless to say, Alex makes sure Luke doesn’t even get to look at the next bread basket.

Auston and Amelia, where Amelia meets him home town friends
- Amelia meeting Auston friends from AZ for the first time
A.N. Hello! This was requested like ages ago and I had started to write it but never got around to finishing it. Then it got requested again so I decided to stop being lazy and finish it. I’m really happy with how this turned out and I hope you enjoy it as well. I also want to say that I don’t actually know who any of Auston’s friends are from Arizona so I made all of them up.
Word Count: 4,396
Warning: Talks of an abusive ex-boyfriend
Masterlist
“Auston we are having tacos tonight. Is that all right?” Ema asked as she turned the sink off and turned around to face the two of us as we sat at the kitchen table. The two of us had made it out for the weekend because Auston had a game on Friday but the next two days off. I had flown out on my own to meet Auston here and we were staying at his house but were spending most of our free time at his parents.
“Amelia and I are meeting some of my friends for drinks and food so we won't be here,” Auston said, looking away from me to her. She nodded her head before turning her attention to me with a small smile.
“Oh alright! Which friends?” she asked as she hung the towel on the rack before making her way over to join us at the table.
“Clayton, Matt, Brady, and Chucky. Some of their girls too,” Auston listed off. His mother nodded her head understandably. This was going to be my first time meeting any of Auston’s friends and I was extremely nervous.
“Oh how have they been?” she asked, clapping her hands together. He smiled at her as he started talking.
“Yeah they have been good, Clay’s been talking about this new job he has and he’s pretty happy with it. Says it pays pretty well,” he said running his hand through his hair.
“Oh that’s wonderful for him. Amelia, they are lovely people, it'll be fun for you,” Ema reassured me, reaching her hand out across the table and tapping my fidgeting hands. I smiled gratefully at her.
“Yeah I’m excited they sound like great people,” I smiled at the two of them as I reached up to tuck my hair behind my ear.
“What time are you guys going?” she questioned as she glanced down at her watch.
“Eh we should probably leave soon we said we'd meet at 6:30,” Auston mumbled as he glanced at the clock.
“Did you want to stop at mine first or are you good to go from here?” Auston asked, turning his attention to me. I thought about it for a moment before shrugging my shoulders.
“I should be fine but is there any chance I could borrow a sweater?” I asked, glancing between the two. I didn’t really care who gave me the sweater as I could borrow one.
“Yeah I have something in my room I’m sure,” Auston pushed himself up from his chair to go get it.
“Wait honey. I might have something better for her,” Ema said standing up and placing a hand on Auston’s arm to stop him from moving. She walked over to the closet that was in the hall near the front door and opened it up to pull out a black leather jacket. She walked back over to the two of us and held it out to me. She handed it over and I stood up to try it on. It was a bit longer and oversized then my normal leather jackets but it looked cute so I smiled happily at her.
“Thank you,”
“Oh it’s no problem, I’ve had it forever and don't wear it too often,” she grinned as she turned to face Auston again.
“I will get to see you tomorrow right?” she asked, him reaching out for a hug. He nodded his head as he hugged her back.
“Yeah we're going to come over for lunch before our plane,” Auston mumbled to her. Once they were done hugging she pulled away from him and turned to me to pull me into a hug. I hugged her back as tight as she held me and relaxed into the hug.
“Just call if you guys need anything,” Ema said to the two of us as she pulled away from our hug. I smiled sweetly at her as I followed Auston to the front door. We slipped our shoes on and then said our final goodbyes before making our way out the door.
“Babe,” Auston called out to me once we were outside of the house. I hummed as I looked up at him. He pulled me against his side as he led me to the car with an arm on my back.
“You excited?” he asked with a teasing grin. I felt myself pale slightly as I tried to nod back enthusiastically. He laughed lightly while opening the door for me. As I went to step into the car he pressed a kiss to my cheek causing me to blush bright red.
“I’m nervous,” I admitted as he went to close the door. He quickly made his way around the car and got in.
“Nervous for what?” he asked, raising an eyebrow as he buckled. I did the same as I shrugged my shoulders. I couldn’t place exactly what had made me so nervous to meet them other than the fact that I was meeting important people to Auston.
“What if they don’t like me?” I finally asked quietly over the sounds of Harry Styles singing on the radio. He had already started driving so he kept his eyes on the road as he answered me.
“That won’t be a problem. I don’t know anyone who doesn't like you,” he smiled trying to reassure me as he reached his hand out for mind and locked them together over the center console.
“But like what if they think I’m annoying or like not the right one?” I asked louder this time. His face scrunched up for a moment before his hand gave mine a gentle squeeze.
“Not the right one?” he asked with a high voice causing me to giggle slightly.
“I don’t know,” I shrugged, turning to look out the window feeling slightly embarrassed. Auston pulled into the parking space before turning to look at me.
“Listen babe. You're perfect, I know and they will too. You have absolutely nothing to worry about, they'll love you like I do,” Auston told me seriously, causing me to blush as he gave my hand another squeeze.
“Thanks,” I smiled at him. He grinned before leaning forward to press a kiss to my forehead.
“Ready to go?” he asked when he pulled away. I glanced out the window quickly before turning back to him and pulling him into a quick kiss. Then I pulled away and nodded my head as I reached for the door and hopped out. We met at the front of the car and Auston grabbed my hand as he led us to the host stand.
“Hi reservation under the name Lexi?” Auston told the host. She looked down at the list before looking back up at us.
“Yeah they are already at the table you can follow me,” she smiled before leading us over to the table of almost 10 people. I felt myself sink further into Auston’s side as all the people at the table turned to look at us.
“Papi made it,” someone with shaggy brown hair called out standing up from the table and walking over to us. He pulled Auston into a big hug causing him to let go of me, leaving me standing to the side awkwardly. I looked over the rest of the table which was a mix of guys and girls when suddenly I recognised one of the guys.
“Amy?” Kyle asked standing up from the table. I shared a shocked look with him as I waved shyly.
“You two know each other? Auston asked, pulling away from his hug and giving us a confused glance. I looked at Kyle before turning my attention back to Auston.
“Um uh yeah,” I coughed trying to hide how awkward I felt.
“Really that's cool I’m Kyle's girlfriend, Beth,” A beautiful brunette said standing up to hug me. I laughed awkwardly as I hugged her back.
“Oh awesome,” I turned back to Auston hoping the topic would change. Unfortunately I am not that lucky.
“How do you two know each other?” Beth asked, slipping her hand around Kyle’s waist. I scratched at the back of my neck as I tried to come up with something to say.
“We went to high school together,” Kyle answered for the both of us.
“And we dated,” I continued awkwardly. I watched as everyone at the table shared a look of shock before turning my attention back to Auston who also had a look of disbelief on his face.
“The two of you?” Beth asked, pointing to the two of us.
“Uh yeah,” Kyle answered shrugging his shoulders.
“Not for very long,” I provided, hoping to clear any of the tension that was going around. Auston’s hand slid out from mine causing me to panic slightly only to calm down when he slid his hand to rub reassuring at my back.
“Alright well let’s take a seat and maybe order a drink,” Auston suggested pushing me gently to the table. I gave him a grateful look as he pulled my chair out for me. He then took a seat to my right and with Kyle to my left. Everyone continued the conversion they were having before we arrived at the table.
“Aus, should we talk?” I asked not knowing if he was okay. He looked down at me with a thoughtful look before leaning in to whisper in my ear.
“Is he the one your dad hated?” he asked gently. I had told Auston about Kyle very briefly on one of our dates. My dad disapproved of him so much that it was one of the reasons we lasted as long as we did. I nodded my head slightly as I glanced at him and Beth talking. We ended on good terms. I just never expected to see him again.
“Yeah he was not a fan, he’s also the one that I got caught with,” I had told him the story about how we had been smoking weed in my room when my dad had caught us. He was so mad that he had kicked me out of the house for a week. He sent me a sad smile wrapping his arm around my shoulder and placing a kiss on my cheek.
“Wow,” he mumbled against my cheek.
“I’ve known him for like three years and I never knew,” he continued as he pulled away. I shrugged but as I went to talk we were interrupted by a boy with black hair and blue eyes talking to us.
“Hey Amelia it’s so nice to meet you. Papi never shuts up about you. I’m Clayton,” he said smiling softly at us. I grinned as I reached my hand out to shake his.
“Oh he never shuts up about you guys either,” I laughed as I tapped Auston on the shoulder. The three of us laughed.
“Auston said you worked for a magazine?” Clayton questioned as he raised his beer to take a sip.
“Yeah, It's a pretty popular magazine in Toronto. It covers almost everything from sports to fashion,” I said reaching out for the glass of water that was on the table.
“Do you want to share the nacho appetizer?” Auston asked me as he pushed the menu in front of me to take a look. Once I read over the description of the nachos I eagerly nodded my head. Almost everyone at the table already had their drinks and some type of food on the table.
“Sounds good babe,” I told him, reaching under the table to pat his leg. He smiled sweetly at me before turning to the server.
“We're going to share the nachos and I’ll have a modelo and she'll have a vodka pink lemonade,” he ordered for the two of us as he closed the menu. I smiled sweetly at the two before turning my attention back to Clayton.
“What do they have you write about?” he asked.
“I was writing about fashion when I first started there but they are trying to transfer me to the sports department,” I said shrugging my shoulders casually. Honestly they had been trying to get me to switch ever since I started dating Auston but I had been extremely against the idea since the beginning.
“I bet Allsya here would love to read all the fashion stuff you've written,” he said as he pointed to the beautiful girl to his right.
“Yes, I model here in Arizona,” she said joining the conversation. I gave her a soft smile as I glanced to her shyly.
“I actually think I’ve seen you on the runway,” I admitted as I thought back to a show that I had attended at the beginning of the summer right after I had met Auston on the plane.
“It was a swimsuit catalog and your pieces were amazing. I wrote about them in the magazine,” I continued as the server set our drinks and nachos down. I picked up my drink right away and took a small sip as she started talking.
“Oh my god! I remember that! I read the article too, oh my god Clay I told you about her article it was one of the best ones that was published after that weekend,” she said, shaking his arm slightly.
“Oh wow thank you,” I blushed as I set my drink down. I reached in for a nacho and took a big bite.
“How did the two of you meet?” Allsya asked after a brief pause in conversation. At the question everyone at the table turned their attention to us to hear the story.  I glanced over at Auston seeing as I had just shoved food in my mouth hoping that he would tell them. He smiled before shrugging his shoulders.
“We met on the plane ride to Arizona from Toronto. I sat next to her and she started rambling about how she was a nervous flyer,” he started to say but I let out a slight gasp.
“No I didn't, I told you once that I was not a good flyer and anyway you were the one who started talking to me first,” I said, cutting him off. Everyone at the table let out a laugh at that.
“We talked the whole flight and then I got her number after and we went out on a date and the rest is history,” he finished as he took a sip of his beer. I shared a sweet smile with him as I also lifted my drink up to take a sip.
“Where’d you take her?” Matt asked.
“He took me to chipotle then we went to his house,”  I told them. They all let out a laugh.
“Sounds like Papi was trying to show off,” Clayton mumbled, causing the table to laugh again. Auston tried to hide his blush by leaning his chin on his hand.
“It was really fun,” I told them honestly as I reached for more nachos.
“So how long have you guys been dating?” a girl I didn’t recognise yet asked from across the table.
“Uh about 10 months,” Auston told her as he sent me a soft smile. I sent him one in return as I rested my hand on his leg under the table.
“I want to hear the story of how the fuck Kyle and Amelia know each other,” someone blurted out from the other end of the table. I felt the blood drain from my face not feeling comfortable talking about this with a group of strangers.
“Nah we don’t have to talk about this,” Kyle said, picking up his own beer and taking a long sip.
“C’mon it’s got to be a good story. It’s crazy that you two even know one another,” Matt said. Kyle glanced at me out of the corner of his eye and I shrugged my shoulders. I knew they would keep asking if we didn’t answer them.
“It’s not that great of a story. Were from the same hometown and we dated for like a month after my mom died,” I told the table. Auston’s hand reached down to grip mine that was on his leg.
“We broke up when my dad caught us smoking weed in his house,” I continued.
“That was pretty funny though,” Kyle mumbled. I glanced at him with a smile as I thought back to the moment. It was pretty funny up until the part that I had gotten kicked out but I had never told Kyle that part.
“Yeah. But what I really want to know is how you met the beautiful Beth,” I told him as I sent her a soft smile. Her face lit up at the question as she went into the details of how the two met at college here in Arizona.
After another few rounds of drinks a few of Auston’s friends started leaving so that it was just Kyle, Beth, Matt, Lexi, Allsya, and Clayton.
“So you guys have known each other almost all your life?” I questioned Matt, Clayton, and Auston as I took a sip from the beer that Auston had ordered for me after a few vodka drinks.
“Yeah we all played hockey together actually,” Clayton said.
“Yeah but we weren’t very good so we stopped pretty early but Auston still hung out with us after,” Matt joked.
“We did everything together and went on a lot of trips together too,” Clayton continued.
“Oh fun. What was he like when he was younger?” I asked them hoping to get something juicy on him.
“Pretty much the same as he is now. Likes things to go his way, and he loves himself of course,” Matt teased, Auston rolled his eyes as he wrapped his arm behind me resting it on my chair.
“He was really possessive,” Clayton said, causing me to raise an eyebrow.
“Oh?” I said waiting for him to continue.
“He hated sharing anything. He was so possessive of his stuff it was kind of funny actually. If someone stole his favorite stick or toy he would throw a fit until someone gave it back,” Clayton finished. I let out a loud laugh as I threw my head back.
“Oh my god. Two weeks ago I was wearing his favorite sweatshirt and he wanted to wear it and he threw a thirty minute fit until I took it off so he could wear it,” I told the table as I let out another laugh, the rest of the table joining in.
“Alright we can stop talking about me now,” Auston pouted as he leaned his chin on my shoulder. I laughed as I leaned closer and pecked his lips quickly. I was starting to feel a bit tipsy. Auston narrowed his eyes at me when I pulled away so that he went cross-eyed causing me to let out a giggle. When I was drunk or tipsy I tended to display more PDA. Auston was always a fan of PDA but I hadn’t been so I knew moments like this when I let myself go he really enjoyed it
Kyle started telling us a story about his new job and I felt myself growing bored rather quickly. Deciding that I would have to make my own fun I slid my hand back onto Auston’s thigh. We had been at this bar for almost four hours now and he had stopped drinking almost two hours ago so that he would be sober to drive us home. I slid my hand higher up on his thigh as I leaned in so I could whisper into his ear.
“I was wondering if you could take me home and fuck me.”
His breath hitched at my words. He glanced around to make sure nobody had heard me before sliding his own hand onto my thigh so that it was gripping my inner thigh. He slowly slid his hand up my leg but then abruptly stopped.
“Be a good girl,” he mumbled against my ear as he pressed a kiss to the side of my head and removed his hand completely. I huffed slightly annoyed before turning back to pay attention to what was being said at the table. I finished my beer as I listened to Clayton and Auston talk about a trip they were trying to plan for the summer.
“Alright well I think we're going to head out. We got a big day of travel tomorrow,” Auston told everyone as he stood up and then helped me up from my chair. Everyone else stood up and there was a round of hugs before we were all making our way out of the bar and to our own cars.
“Did you have fun?” Auston asked, he wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we made our way back to the car.
“I did. It was fun to meet the people you grew up with,” I said softly as I leaned into his side.
“Although I really wasn’t expecting you to be friends with Kyle,” I admitted as we turned the corner and approached the car. He walked over to my side and opened the door for me.
“We met through Clayton. They were roommates at AU and got along. He’s a pretty cool dude to be honest. Not sure how I feel about the fact that you two dated though,” he helped me up into my seat after I almost tripped over the curb I let out a little giggle as I settled into the seat. I pulled my buckle on as Auston walked around the car and hopped in.
“It was in high school it was barely even dating. Like all we ever did was make out we made it to like second base maybe twice. I mostly just needed a friend at the time and he was a good one,” I told him as I thought back on the difficult time I had been going through when I lost my mother.
“It’s just weird that I’ve known him longer then you and like youve told me stories about him but I’ve never connected them to my friend Kyle,” he reached his hand out to hold mine. I smiled down at our interlocked hands before leaning onto the center console so that I could look at Auston’s face.
“Yeah, do you think it’s weird?” I asked softly.
“No not really. I mean we all have a past and we can't change it. It's nothing I can’t handle, baby,” he answered. I felt my heart warm at his response as I leaned back in my chair and closed my eyes.
“If I was with Nick and this happened he would have slapped me,” I sleepily mumbled out. I heard Auston suck in a harsh breath as the silence overtook the car.
“He would have slapped me the second we got into the car and then we would have driven to my apartment in silence. He would have followed me up to my room and he would have apologised and because I would be too scared to do anything I would say it was okay,” I took a deep breath as I revealed all of that to Auston. I slowly opened my eyes and turned to look at his face scared to see the expression that would be waiting for me.
“It feels really great to know that you would never do that to me. You make me feel so safe,” I finished holding in a sob. Auston had just pulled up to his house so he put the car in park and turned to face me.
“Babe,” his voice broke as he said it. He cleared his throat as he shook his head, probably trying to piece together his thoughts. I had probably surprised Auston considering I never brought up Nick on my own. I had told him about the things that Nick had done to me in the past but I had yet to share everything. Mostly just because I was happy now and it wasn’t something that I thought of a lot. His hand squeed mine gently.
“I’m so sorry that you went through what you did, but I am so happy that I can make you feel safe. I also want you to know that you're the love of my life and I will never let anything happen to you again,” Auston told me softly as he stared into my eyes. I knew that I could trust every word he was saying.
“ I know. Let’s go inside,” I whispered. He nodded his head as he turned the car off and we both made our way out and inside his house.
“I’m really tired,” I mumbled as I slid my heels off. Auston slipped his shoes off before glancing at me with a fond look in his eyes.
“Let’s go up to bed,” he said, reaching out to rub his hand up and down my back.
“I know I wanted to have sex but can we just do that in the morning,” I asked as I made my way up the stairs. Auston let out a laugh as he led me into the bathroom. He grabbed a makeup wipe and handed it to me before standing behind me so he could tie my hair up in a ponytail for me.
“Yeah babe whatever you want,” Auston leaned forward and pressed a kiss to the back of my neck. I rubbed my makeup off before glancing up at us in the mirror.
“Hey Auston,” I mumbled quietly.
“Huh?” he whispered into my neck as he hugged me from behind.
“You're the love of my life too,” I reached down for his hand and lifted it up to my lips so I could press a kiss on it.
He turned me around so that he could press me into the counter and pressed a sweet kiss to my lips. When he pulled away he led us to the bedroom, we both changed into our pajamas and then climbed into bed. Auston turned the tv on before spooning up behind me.
“What do you want to watch?” he asked. I glanced towards the tv before shrugging.
“Anything I’m going to fall asleep any minute,” I mumbled. I drifted off to sleep as Auston watched That 70s Show.
Side Note: So I know that I kind of teased ya’ll with a bit of smut so I promise that I will try to write that sometime lol

Come Clean
Luke Holbrook X Reader
Word Count: 958
Requested: Anon
Request: You knew something was up with Luke and that he was lying to everyone. You want him to come clean, you do like Luke but you try to figure it out why he would even lie because you know Allie didn't rig anything. Lots of arguing and Campbell figures out you like Luke and tries to use that against you by telling him but you're smarter then Campbell and don't let him manipulate you. (I hope this makes sense), im not sure where else to go from this. The society 1 shot. Thank you so much!!
Tumblr media
You spent a lot of your school life being Luke Holbrooks friend and for the most part you new predicament didn't change much, that is until there was the run for mayor and you knew that Luke lied there was something else going on and you figured that it had something to do with Campbell, he was the only new variable in that group, most of those boys were followers and Grizz wasn't there to back Luke up, Campbell had waited for the perfect time and this was it, there was no one to oppose him, that is until you figured out what was going on.
You managed to get Luke alone and decided that it was time to talk about everything "Why did you lie?" You asked. "What are you talking about?" He asked. "You know what I'm talking about, the election why did you lie?" You asked. "(Y/N) please don't." He pleaded and you looked over at Campbell who was watching you both carefully, knowing him he could probably read lips. "What did he do?" You asked. "He did something didn't he?" "It doesn't matter what happened now there's nothing that you can do to change it." He shrugged. "I can't but you can and you should." You informed him before turning and walking away from him. Since Harry took over things have been different and you spent a lot of your time making sure that everyone was okay because he definitely wasn't going to and Lexi had no idea what she had gotten herself into when she agreed to work with him.
When you finally got home you hadn't expected to see anyone in the house, you should have expected it to be honest, Campbell had been watching you so closely that you should have realised that he was going to come and see you, he stood from where he was sitting in the living room and you stayed at the door "What are you doing here?" You asked. "I wanted to talk to you." He answered and he stepped towards you but you made sure to keep space between the two of you, you weren't stupid and Campbell was quickly seeing that, you weren't scared of him you were just experienced in a fight and he wasn't going to win the upper hand easily with you, this wasn't a battle that he could fight physically, so he stopped trying to move towards you and instead smiled. "I saw you talking to Luke." "Am I not allowed to talk to my friend now?" You asked. "Your feisty." He commented. "Why do you care so much about him?" "What do you care?" You asked, he raised an eyebrow "he's a friend so I like to make sure that he's okay." "No, there's something else" He shook his head and this time when he took a step forward he wasn't looking to close any distance between you, instead he looked at the photos that littered your living room. "Your parents liked him too." "That's really none of your business." You said as you leant against the doorframe. He looked over at you as he held up a picture. "You spent a lot of time with him, right? You can't tell me that you didn't like him as more than a friend." He smiled when you didn't say anything, he honestly thought that you were a worthy opponent and you didn't give anything away but he figured that meant he was on the right track. "What would happen if I told him?" That caused your blood to run cold, you hoped it didn't show but you were sure that it did. "It doesn't matter what you tell him, it won't change anything." You informed him and he looked at you and smiled. "We'll see about that." He said as he walked past you to the door, he got what he needed something to use against you, this new information will push Luke away from you, he was after all supposed to be marrying Helena.
The next morning you were woken up by someone banging on your door, you groaned before opening the door, Luke stormed in and closed the door behind him "Hello." You mumbled as he started pacing. "Is there something that I can help you with?" "What did you do, I told you to leave it alone." He said. "What are you talking about?" You asked. "Campbell." He answered and you looked at him. "He was here last night when I got back, I didn't do anything apart from talking to you yesterday." You answered. "He said something." Luke frowned. "What?" You asked. "He said that you loved me, that was why you were acting the way that you were, he said that you need to stop poking around or he'll make sure that you stop." He informed you. "Right well that's not going to happen." You answered. "Is it true? The other part." He said. "It doesn't matter, what matters is that he's dangerous and he should not be in power." You dismissed him. "(Y/N)-" "Luke, you are getting married remember, that's the end of it okay? We've got bigger problems than a high school love triangle." You said, "We need to get Harry and Campbell out of power and we need to get Allie back in." "How do we do that?" Luke asked. "Well, you aren't going to do anything but me I've got some work to do." You said as you folded your arms, to be honest, Luke was scared for you and for Campbell you looked like you had a plan and you were going to stop at nothing to make sure that it happened.

another day
oneshot. han x reader
genre: drama, super duper angsty, a little fluff at the end
words: 1.9k
warning(s): slight mentions of depressing thoughts, lonely reader (yeah, another day by jisung is quite a sad song for me, anyways, stream their latest album, go live!) (i really felt sad when writing this. But I hope u like it!)
Another day full of dejection. You got home early from your work after being scolded by your manager because of messing up in the cashier a while ago. You haven't started anything for your thesis. You just can't find the courage to do it.
Lots of problems keep on rushing to you. There's your landlady who keeps on knocking at your door asking for your two-month payment for your rent. The payment for the next semester. Money isn't only your enemy. But yourself too. You wanted to do a lot of things. But it feels like there's something that's keeping you away from doing it. It got slumped the most when the person you trust the most, left you in the middle of the battle. No words, just left you on the way. Jisung was your savior, your knight in shining armor, the man that keeps you from standing and fighting all the struggles that you face every day. Ever since you two split up, you feel like there's no reason for fighting anymore. There's a time that you just want to end it all. All of the pain, the loneliness that you feel. It almost got the best of you. Pressure from college, expectation from your parents whom you have to prove that you can be independent. Jisung leaving you. Luckily, your friends are still there. But they are also busy since all of you will graduate this year. You can't risk bothering them just to rant about your sulky and shitty day in school and work.
You opened your second hand refrigerator only to find out that you didn't have stocks anymore. Only bottles of water and a pack of instant ramen. You sighed and grabbed your only food for tonight. You decided to open your Spotify playlist to soothe your sullen feelings and to calm your mind.
You silently eat your ramen while scrolling through your phone. You got a notification from your online bank noting that you already received your salary for the past two months. Your face brightened at the thought. The salary is good enough(?) you think about your daily needs and for the rent. It just got delayed for two months because of the cafe's renovation. Lucky you, your salary for tutoring a kid from your neighborhood helped you for the past two months just to buy your food and stocks and some expenses on school.
After eating, you decided to give yourself a warm bath after work. You still don't have classes tomorrow and it's also your rest day from your work. However, after taking a shower, the doorbell rang stopping you from drying your hair. You checked the time, it's almost 10:30 in the evening. Just who the hell will visit you at this hour?
"Wait a minute!" You shouted from your bedroom and went to the door almost stumbling while wearing your slippers.
"Who is I-- Alexa? It's 10:30 already?" Alexa, your cousin, also your childhood friend visited.
"Oh hello to you too, dear. " she jokingly rolled her eyes at you and showed you the paper bags she brought.
"Anyways, I brought you some food and stuff cause I know how broke you are." She chirped showing you some of your favorite foods. You welcomed her inside and closed the door.
"How's my beautiful cousin? Is auntie still not talking to you?" She asked as she slumped on the sofa.
You sighed at her question. "Nothing changed, Lexie, she's still upset at me. And I got scolded by my manager earlier. Argh, it's my fault at all. I'm not with myself, It feels like my soul and sanity left me awhile ago. But something good happened, anyways. I got my salary for the last two months! I'm not broke as fuck. But I have to pay my rent. The noisy landlady keeps on bothering me. Arrgh" you said and drank some yogurt. It's been a while ever since you got to drink this yogurt again.
"Are you okay?" You looked at Alexa shocked with the sudden seriousness. You kept silent for a while before answering.
"To be honest, I'm not. It feels like the whole world already turned its back on me. I really want to do things. But I feel like there's no enough energy and motivation for me to do it."
"Is it because of Jisung?" You froze at the mention of his name. Yes, it is. You still can't move on. It's because you really don't know what happened why he suddenly left you. You should hate him for it. but you just couldn't. You slowly nod at your cousin. You heard your cousin sigh.
"Did you talk to him? You're attending the same university with him, right? Don't tell me he's avoiding you?"
"Yes, we attend the same university. But he's majoring in music, remember? I'm majoring in Psychology. So it means, we are not in the same building. And I bet he's doing all his might to avoid me." You blurted out.
"You're a hopeless case, dear," Alexa said
"I know.." you whispered.
"But, this is just an advice. If you have the courage, try to talk it out with him. You guys don't have the closure you need. Did you block each other's contact?" You shook your head.
"I didn't block his contact. And luckily, he didn't block mine too. It's just that he doesn't answer my calls. Maybe I need to talk to him in person. I just need to wait for the right time." You're determined. You just want to talk to him. Four months? Four months of not talking to him. Maybe you just need to wait a little time to talk to him.
"Yes, that's the spirit. Just remember dear, if you need something, you know you can call your gorgeous cousin." She said and winked at you. You just chuckled at her childishness.
You missed him, a lot. His smiles, his sweet voice, you missed everything about him. Up until now, you still don't know what happened to your relationship.
You wake up with a feeling of calmness after the talk you had with your cousin last night. With nothing left to do today, you decided to buy some groceries.
A calm and delightful night, Jisung playing his guitar and singing for you while you happily listen to his sweet and calm voice. You just love how he sings his heart out, you can feel the emotions as he sings.
Jisung put his guitar at the side and held your hand.
"I love you, y/n. to the moon and back. No one can replace you. We'll never let go of each other, okay? Whatever happens, we'll never leave each other." He said and kissed your hand.
"Thank you for being with me, Sungie. Even though I'm a problematic shit. You're always there for me. And I promise I'll never leave you too. I love you." You said and hugged him. He kissed the top of your head and swayed you as he hums a song.
—————
You grab a cup of coffee at the cafe near the supermarket. You take a look at the people passing by the cafe. Why does it look like they're so happy with their life? Do they have any problems at all? It seems like you're the only one who has a lot of problems. Or maybe you still don't know how to sort it all out?
While still being entertained by the walking people outside, someone cleared their throat. You suddenly turn your head to the person. You're shocked to see the person in front of you. There it goes again, the fast heartbeat, the erratic breathing as if he took your breath away. The feeling of hoping he'll stay with you again.
"J-jisung..." You called the person in front of you, almost a whisper.
"Y/N... It's.. It's good to see you here.. Can I occupy the seat?" You just nod at him. You still can't find the right words on how to answer him.
"Uhm, I shouldn't be asking this, but How are you? " he said and scratched the back of his neck. This is it. It's the right time to talk to him. Fate does its way to help you. But you can't still form any words to say to him.
"Uh, I see. Look, I'm... I'm really sorry. I mean it. I know I deserve all the hate you have for me. But can you let me explain, please.?" You just nod at him. Maybe it's good if you hear his side first.
"First of all, I'm really, really sorry for leaving you without any word. You know I love you. But you know what's my dream right? I really love to sing. So there's this agency that casted me and offered me training to debut as an artist. But the contract says there is a dating ban. I- I don't know what will I do. At first, I'm contemplating. It's hard. I love you, but I also have a dream. But I need to let go of the other to achieve one. And I'm really sorry that I sacrificed you over my dream. I'm really sorry, y/n. you can hate me. You can slap me, anything you want. I know I deserve it for leaving you." He grabbed your hand and lowered his head. You got shocked at his explanation. You're well aware of his dream of being a singer and an artist. He told you ever since he was a child, he dreams of being one. You clearly see his passion for music. That's why you understand his reason.
"But... but why didn't you talk about it with me?" You asked him.
"I'm scared. I don't know why. Maybe the thought of letting you go hurts me. I thought that not letting you know can help me. But it did nothing. I have trouble sleeping at night, knowing that you're hurting, too. I promised you I'll never let you go, but here I am, leaving you clueless as to why I left." You can feel the sadness and hurt in his voice. You really loved this man. You can't find any reason to hate him, to get mad at him. You reached out to him and caressed his fluffy cheeks.
"I understand now, Sungie." He raised his head at the nickname, that nickname you used to call him. Hearing it again makes him giddy.
"I know it's your dream. Your dream came first before me, and I don't have any right to stop you from achieving it. I'm just hurt because you left me with no word. But don't worry, I'll be okay. I love you, you know that. And I'll support you always. Be good. So that you can debut soon. And if that happens, I'll be your number one gorgeous fan." You smiled at him and held his hand. He squeezed it and smiled at you.
"Thank you, for being strong. Y/N. we can still be friends if that's okay with you. You can still love me, And I will love you. " he said. You nod at him. Hearing all the closure you two needed, a big weight just got lifted off your shoulder. Being friends with your ex doesn't hurt, right? You just need to be mature with each other. You just need to accept your fate with him.

Here are the other Parts:  Part 1     Part 2     Part 3    Part 4    Part 5   Part 6    Part 7      Part 8    Part 9
Tumblr media
When you woke up you were in a car, headed down the road. You were confused and your head hurt.
“Good morning” Damon chimed, noticing your movement.
“Damon? Where are we?” you asked not recognizing anything outside the window.
“Georgia” he stated.
“Georgia? No we aren’t. Seriously Damon, where are we?” you questioned.
“Seriously, we are in Georgia” he answered, “How are you feeling?”
You thought about it for a moment, to be honest, you weren’t sure this entire experience felt surreal.
“You don’t have any broken bones, I checked” he added.
“My car. There was a man. In the road, there was a man. He was like you. Who was that?” you ask starting to piece everything together.
“That’s what I want to know.”
“You rescued me and now… no one knows where I am. Where’s my phone? I can’t be in Georgia. Damon pull over the car,” you rambled.
“Oh come on,” Damon tried.
“I’m serious Damon pull over” you demanded.
“You were so much more fun when you were asleep” he rolled his eyes as he pulled the car over.
You went to get out and everything seemed to rush at you, the dull ache and stiffness became predominant, and your dizziness caused you to stumbled. Damon rushed around and was there to steady you in an instant. While he did check for broken bones, he had no way of checking for a concussion or internal bleeding. He was starting to second guess his decision to bring you with him when you pulled him out of his thoughts.
“I’m fine Damon, really,” you spoke standing up a little straighter, “We seriously have to go back. I wrecked my car, people are probably getting worried.”
“Come on Y/n, live a little” he smiled.
“Why are you actually doing this?” you asked sincerely.
“I need to make a stop, we are almost there, and I can have you home in time for bed” he persuaded.
“I don’t know Damon,” you sighed.
“Well allow me to remind you that you are riding in my car, without your magic little necklace I might add. I could very easily make you agreeable,” he said forcefully.
“What are you trying to prove?” you asked feeling vulnerable.
Just then your phone started ringing and Damon fished it out of his pocket. “It’s your boyfriend,” he said as he offered it to you.
“I don’t want to talk to him,” you replied.
“Fine, I’ll talk to him,” Damon smirked.
“Hello, this is Y/n’s phone” Damon spoke.
“Damon? Where’s Y/n? Is she okay? Why do you have her phone?”
“Y/n? She’s right here and she’s fine” Damon answered.
“Where are you? Let me speak to her
“Yeah I really don’t think she wants to talk to you right now,”
“Damon, I swear if you touch her, I’ll-”
“Alright, you have a good day now, goodbye” Damon interrupted before hanging up the phone.
“We have to go back” you mumble more to yourself than Damon.
“Y/n, time out. Take a break from your life for five minutes. Live a little. I can promise you with absolute certainty that all of your problems will be waiting for you when you get back,” he persuaded.
“Am I going to be safe with you?” you asked.
“Yes,” he answered.
Do you promise not to compel me?” you questioned.
“Yes,” he promised.
“Okay,” you agreed.
So the two of you got back into the car and started to drive.
“Where exactly are we going?” you asked.
“There is a witch that I need to visit, she is a bartender in a small town right outside of Atlanta. We’re almost there,” he answered.
“Why do I look like her?” you asked.
“I honestly don’t know.”
“Let’s say I am one of her descendants, does that mean I am part vampire?”
“No, vampires can’t procreate, though we love to try” he joked, “Seriously though, if you are related to her it would have to mean that she had a child before she was turned”
“Do you think that Stefan was just using me to replace her?” you asked.
This was Damon’s chance, he could easily turn you against his brother. But instead, he defended him, “You and Katherine are only alike in looks. And I can promise you he never felt for her the things he feels for you,”
“How are you so sure?” you asked.
“Stefan’s entire relationship with Katherine was based on compulsion and lies. With you, it’s real. That is one of the reasons he is so adamantly against using compulsion on you”
“Thanks Damon,” you said sincerely.
Before long the two of you arrived at the bar. Damon got out of the car and you waited.
He went around to your door and opened it, “Aren’t you coming?” he asked.
“It’s a bar Damon, I’m not old enough. They aren’t going to let me in” you said.
“Sure they will, come on,” he said grabbing your hand.
As he walked in, he was almost immediately tackled by a tall woman. She started kissing him and saying how glad she was to see him.
After they broke apart, she apologized to you as if she thought you were with him. She then returned to the bar and made an announcement, “Listen up every one, here is to the man who broke my heart, crushed my soul, ruined my life, and destroyed any chance I had at happiness” she said as she poured shots.
You and Damon both took a seat at the bar, and she set the shots in front of you. Damon was quick to drink both yours and his so no one would notice.
“So how did he rope you in?” Bree asked.
“Oh, I’m not roped in, I’m actually dating his-”
“Honey if you’re not roped, you’re whipped. Either way, you just got to enjoy the ride.” She advised.
“Noted,” you replied.
“So, what is it that you want this time Damon?” she asked.
You were eager to hear what exactly his motives were, but your phone started ringing and it was Jenna.
You went outside and answered it.
“Hey, what’s up?” you asked nonchalantly.
“You didn’t come home last night or call,” she lectured.
“I’m sorry I just got caught up with the whole Stefan thing, and then I went to Bonnies” you answered.
“Where are you now? Why aren’t you at school?” she asked.
“I just…I needed a day,” you tried.
She sighed, “Are you safe?”
“Yes”
“When will you be back?”
“Tonight”
“Okay, but just this once. And you should call Stefan he’s come by twice asking about you,” she added.
“Thank you so much Jenna,” you say as you hang up.
You went back inside to find your food was ready. Bree brought Damon a beer and you spoke up, “I’ll have one too.”
Damon gave you a look that you couldn’t read, so you explained your logic, “Five-minute time out remember? I’m just taking your advice and living a little,” you say as she brings you one.’
The two of you clinked your bottles together and drank. You then started talking and eating. Maybe Damon really wasn’t that bad. After the food, Damon and you were about to rack up for a round of pool when your phone rang again. This time it was Stefan, you reluctantly decided to answer it and headed outside.
“Y/n, is that you?” Stefan asked
“Yes, I’m here.”
“Where are you?” he asked.
“You lied”
“Y/n, I-”
“Oh, so you didn’t lie?” you questioned.
“Just tell me where you are and I’ll come get you,” he pleaded.
“How am I related to Katherine?” you questioned
“I honestly don’t know. We’ll figure it out together, just please tell me where you are,” he tried.
“And I am supposed to believe that?”
“It’s the truth, listen I-” he started but you hung up.
You turned around to find Damon staring at you. “Are you okay?” he asked.
“Okay is relative,” you answered heading back inside and back to the bar. You had officially decided to get drunk. You wanted to forget even if it was only for a little while.
You waved Bree over and asked for six shots. She brought them over to you and Damon. You then placed four of them in front of you and two in front of him. He gave you a glance as if to say are we really going to do this? You answered, “What happens in Georgia stays in Georgia” and proceeded to down all four shots and dance.
Damon was happy to see you so carefree. He was there to make sure that you were taken care of and that no one would even think about taking advantage of you. He got caught up in a conversation and then Bree asked him where you were. That is when he realized that he hadn’t seen you since he started the conversation. He listened for you, but there was nothing. He went outside to see if you maybe went to the car. And noticed that your phone was laying on the ground.
He walked around back and then heard you scream “Damon, go”. Suddenly the man that had been holding you raced over to Damon hitting him in the knees and soaking him with gasoline. Damon tried to get up, but that only earned him a swift kick to the stomach.
“Why are you doing this?” he struggled. He had absolutely no idea who his assailant was.
“You killed my girlfriend,” the man said as he looked for a match.
By this time, you had made your way down to Damon, but the man warned you to stay back.
“I don’t understand,” you yelled.
“My girlfriend went to visit Stefan and Damon killed her, got it?”
“Lexi? Lexi was your girlfriend?” you asked.
“Yeah she was” he answered kicking Damon again as he tried to get up. He lit the match and was about to throw it when you interrupted him again.
“Lexi loved you and she was good which means you are good. She said that when it’s real you can’t walk away. She wouldn’t want you to do this. Be better than him, I’m begging you.” You cried.
He threw the match on the ground and picked Damon up by the throat and threw him into the wall before running away. You went over to Damon and tried to help him up. After a few minutes, he got up and told you to go wait in the car while he said goodbye to Bree. You agreed. You looked at the phone you were holding and debated whether or not you wanted to call Stefan. You decided that it could wait.
When Damon returned you both started your venture back to Mystic Falls. “So why did you bring me with you?” you asked.
“Come on Y/n, give yourself some credit, you aren’t the worst company in the world,” he joked.
“Seriously?” you laughed.
“I don’t know, you were out there in the road all damsel in distress-like. And I knew that it would piss off Stefan,” he started, but then his tone changed, “And you aren’t the worst company in the world Y/n” he added looking at you intently.
“I used to be more fun” you pout.
“You did alright” Damon assured.
“I saved your life” you gloated.
“I know,” he returned.
“And don’t you forget it” you smirked.
It wasn’t long before the two of you arrived back. Damon went to get your stuff out of your car and have it taken care of. And you were about to walk in to the Boarding house to talk to Stefan. When you entered he seemed so relieved to see you, you could tell that he wanted to run to you and hug you but forced himself to stay put.
“Hi,” he greeted.
“You could have told me,” you started.
“I wanted to tell you” he returned
“You said no more lies, only the truth. As crazy as it is, I can handle the truth. I accept that there are vampires and witches and that this world is far more mysterious than I could ever imagine. But this lie, I can’t handle this lie. What am I to you?”
“You are not Katherine; you are the opposite of everything that she was”
“And how long did it take for you to figure that out? Before you kissed me? Before you slept with me?”
“It was before I met you” he admitted.
“What do you mean?”
“The first day of school wasn’t actually the first time we met. We met on May 23 last spring,” he revealed.
“But that was…”
“The day your parents' car went off the bridge,” he finished.
“You were there?” you questioned.
“Every couple of years I come back here to check on Zak. I was in the woods and heard the accident. I was fast getting there, but not fast enough. The car was already submerged. Your dad was still conscious, but he wouldn’t let me help him until I helped you.”
“Oh my god,” you cried, “when I got to the hospital that had no idea how I made it out of the car. They said it was a miracle.”
“I went back for them, but it was too late. And when I saw your face and the resemblance…. I spent the next two months watching you making sure you weren’t her. I learned everything that I could about you. And I was going to leave town, but I needed to know you. And I wanted to tell you, but you were just starting to be happy again” he explained.
“Why do I look like her?” you asked.
“Y/n, you’ve already been through so much tonight” he tried.
“Stefan, tell me why I look like her” you demanded.
“It didn’t make any sense to me either you were a Gilbert and she was a Pierce. But the resemblance was so uncanny, that I started looking into it. That’s when I found the truth.” He started pausing wishing that he could spare you this.
“What is it?”
“You were adopted.”
You sat down, having just had your entire world crash. “How do you know?” you asked through tears.
“Your county birth record lists your mom, but there was never any record of her being pregnant, there’s no record of her being admitted.
“What else do you know?” you asked pulling your knees to your chest as if trying to brace yourself.
“To go any farther, I would have had to look into the Pierce family and that would be too much of a risk if someone found out I was asking about Katherine. Listen to me, it doesn’t matter, because you are the woman that I love. I love you Y/n.”
You reached up and kissed him. He was surprised but melted into it. When you pulled away, he wrapped his arms around you as you cried into his chest. He wished that he could say something to make it hurt less. You didn’t deserve this. But all he could do is hold you and be there for you until your world made sense again.
After a while you spoke up, “Can you give me a ride home?”
“Sure, but didn’t you drive here?” he asked.
“No, Damon dropped me off. I got into an accident, my car’s totaled. He’s actually having it towed now” you answered.
Stefan wanted to ask you about it but decided that you had gone through enough for one day. He grabbed his keys and led you to his car. He offered to stay with you, but you declined. You loved him, but you honestly just wanted to be alone for a while.
When you walked in Jenna was waiting for you on the couch. “I just got a call from the insurance company saying you totaled your car. Come on Y/n, did you really think you could lie to me about this?” she asked.
“That’s rich coming from you” you rolled your eyes and walked towards your room.
“Oh no, don’t even think about turning this back on me. I’ve done nothing wrong here. So come back here and start talking,” she yelled.
“Oh, so you didn’t know that I was adopted?” you questioned and the look on her face was all the answer you needed.
“I trusted you” you snapped before heading upstairs.
“Your mother was supposed to tell you. I didn’t-” she called after you deciding it was a lost cause for the night.

Part 7

"Hey giiiirl," Lexi said when Angel answered the Facetime call. "It's been foreverrrr, how are you?"
Lexi Christo was a micro-influencer from Richmond, Virginia. She was tan, blonde, and had the whitest teeth Angel had ever seen on a person. He'd become influencer buddies with her during a pole dancing expo he'd traveled to a year ago. She wasn't a dancer herself, but had been there to support another micro-influencer who danced as a hobby. Angel had met her in the hotel bar as she went around taking selfies with as many guys as she could, and they struck up a conversation, working out a deal to both post the selfie to their Instagram accounts and tag each other.
She was alright, as far as he was concerned. She had two cute pomeranians and hustled fitness shakes in what he could only assume was a pyramid scheme. She was image obsessed, but who on Instagram wasn't? The only problem he had with her was that she came off as a super Jesus-freak online, but in person she was one of the hardest partiers he'd ever met.
A call from her generally meant she was planning something big and fun and wanted as many influencers to show up as she could get.
"Oh, y'know, wasting all of my talent on podunk Charleston, the usual," he replied.
"Are you laying in bed? I'm not interrupting a dick appointment, am I?"
"God, I wish I was getting dick right now. No, I'm just resting my leg, I pulled it funny on the pole last night."
"Oh, bummer. Is it serious?"
"No, it happens sometimes. Just need to ice it and stay off of it for a day."
"That's good… speaking of dancing, I've got a proposition for you."
"Oh no, what are you planning?"
"So my sister is getting married in a few months, and I'm putting together a bachelorette party for her. It's gonna be so lit, I've got so many local influencers coming. We're gonna stream it on Instagram Live and everything. And I want you to be our stripper."
"Lexi, you know I'm gay, right? I don't do hen shows."
"No no no, that's why you'd be perfect! That way none of the guests will end up trying to fuck you."
"Well, jeez, take all the fun out of working…" Angel joked. He'd never fucked someone from a club. He'd thought about it sometimes - the money would be nice, of course - but it always came back to his online reputation. Had to keep it clean to attract those brand deals.
"C'mon, pleeeeaaaase! I'll pay you and everything."
"Bitch, you'd better pay your dancers!"
"Of course I would! But you'll get paid plus you'll get exposure from a ton of influencers. C'mon, it'll be so much fun."
"For you. I'll be working."
"Work can be fun. C'mon, pleeeeeaaaase!"
"Okay, okay! I'll do it, jeez. Stop grovelling."
"Omigod, thank you!"
"Yeah, yeah, don't mention it."
"Excellent. I'm so excited. So anyways, what's happening with you?"
"Oh, not much. Just thinking about boys, y'know how it is."
"Speaking of boys, you should totally DM Clayton Howard. He's actually out in West Virginia right now."
"Whaaat? What's he doing out of L.A.?"
"He's doing some sort of cryptid hunting show with his crew. They were hunting Mothman, and then something called Flatland, or something like that? They almost got shot by hillbillies in the episode that went up today."
"No way. How did that even happen?"
"They were in the woods looking for the Goatman and I guess they got too close to some hillbilly shack or something because someone fired a shotgun at them."
"Wait, what's the Goatman?"
"You know, from the creepypasta?"
"Girl, you know I hate horror."
"Well, there's this story about a Goatman who lives in the woods and smells like blood and it can shapeshift or whatever and sneaks into groups of teenagers."
"Ugh, creepy."
"I know! But anyways, Clayton's in your state, you should totally DM him and try to hook up. Or at least shoot a collab."
"I dunno, Clayton's got like 100k followers, I doubt he'd talk to someone with less than 10k…"
Angel didn't get to finish that thought when his phone started to buzz. The notification that popped up at the top of the screen showed an incoming call - not Facetime, just a regular phone call. And the caller ID was someone from his contacts: Demie.
He sat up, suddenly flooded with energy. It had been two whole days since Demie had called him, and he'd figured that Demie just didn't want anything to do with him anymore.
"Lexi, I gotta go, I'm getting a really important call," he said, words tumbling rapidly out of his mouth.
"Ooooh, is it for a dick appointment?"
"If I play my cards right, it is," he said with a grin. "Talk to you later, byeeeee!"
He hung up the Facetime call before she could reply, smashing the answer button on the incoming call.
"Hello?" He said. He instantly cringed. That 'hello' had sounded too excited. He was afraid of coming off too strong and scaring Demie away.
"Uh… Angel?" Demie asked.
"Yeah, yeah, this is Angel. What's up, man?"
"Hey, uh, so Elaine said you called. Sorry I didn't call back, I was dealing with some shit."
"Hey man, that's fine. Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, there were just these punkass kids trespassing on my property and scaring my goats so I was putting up signs all day--"
"Wait, you have goats?" Angel interrupted.
"Uh… yeah?"
"What, do you live on a farm or something?"
"Huh? No. I grew up on a farm, but I moved away and shit. I just have some goats."
"You really like goats, huh? I mean, you dress up like a goat, you have goats…"
"Uh… I guess."
"Have you ever heard of the Goatman?"
There was some silence on the other end of the line. Angel was afraid the connection had dropped, so he asked: "Demie? You there?"
"Yeah, I'm here. What about the Goatman?"
"Oh, apparently there's this Youtuber who's in town and is doing a show about cryptids. I dunno, I thought that since you like goats, maybe you knew about the Goatman and had checked it out--"
"Cryptids are fucking bullshit, you know that, right?" Demie said. His typically monotone voice had just an edge of anger to it.
"Oh, yeah, I know--"
"Like they're just stupid stories made up by drunk rednecks who don't know what a fucking owl looks like, and all the people who go hunting them are just running around trespassing on private property."
There was silence for a little while.
"Hey," Angel said gently, "are we cool? Did I say something wrong?"
He could hear Demie take a deep breath, and then let it out. "Yeah, no, it's fine."
"'Cause I didn't mean to upset you. You know that, right?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Was that all you wanted to talk about or did you call about something else?"
"Oh, no, I didn't actually call about that, I was just talking to someone about it. I was calling to check in, y'know? Wondering how the song writing was going and all that."
"Um, it's going fine, I guess."
"I was reading the Wiki page for Orpheus, it said that he had the power to, like, make anything that heard his music do whatever he wanted. I can see why you'd like him as a musician, I bet that would be a cool superpower to have."
"Um, yeah, look, about that--"
Angel's phone vibrated with a notification for a text. He pulled the phone away from his ear to look at it. It was a text from Lexi, stating: 'I DMed Clayton ur number. Ur welcome. 🍆💦'
A second later, a number he didn't recognize with a California area code lit up his phone with an incoming call.
"Oh, shit," he mumbled. He wanted to keep talking to Demie, especially since he could tell he'd offended him somehow and wanted to clear the air. But at the same time, Clayton Howard had been his internet mancrush for ages.
"Hey, Demie, sorry, I'm gonna have to go, I have to take this call. Can I call you back later?"
"Um, yeah, I guess--"
"Okay, byeeee!"
He fumbled with the phone, ending the call with Demie and hitting the answer button for the unknown number.
"Hello?" He asked.
"Hey, is this Angel?"
"Yeah?"
"Hey dude, this is Clayton Howard…"

Part 1  Part 9
I was sitting in class when Bonnie and our new teacher walked in. Bonnie was hunched over her looking scared. I barely listened to the teacher turning to look at her sitting in the back.
“You okay?” I mouth. She shrugs making me worried. “Talk at lunch?” I mouth again. She nods. Smiling I turn back to the front. “You may want to pronounce it Al Rick but it’s Alr ick. But you can call me Rick.” The teacher says. Raising my hand half the class turns to look at me. “Yes?” He asks gestering to me. “Can I call you Alrick, it sounds cooler than Rick.” Smiling he chuckles softly. “Sure, and you are?” “Octavia.” “Well it’s nice to meet you Octavia.” He says moving around his desk. “So today we are going to be learning about…”
At lunch I met Bonnie and Elena at a picnic table outside. “What’s wrong Bon Bon?” I ask sitting next to her. “I think I’m being haunted.” She says making me do a double take. “Haunted?” “Yeah I’ve been having dreams about my ancestor Emily. I woke up in the middle of the woods this morning.” “You don’t remember going there?” Elena asks. “No that’s my point. I’m scared.” “What does your grandma say?” “She’ll just say it’s because I’m a witch. To embrace it I don’t want to embrace it. I want it to stop.” “It’s always Emily? Never anyone else?” “No, she wore this necklace before me and it’s like she is trying to communicate threw it.” “Well maybe you should listen.” I say Elena smacking my arm. “That’s not a good idea.” “Why? She is taking you to the woods for a reason it might be a good idea to listen.” “Well I don’t want to hear what she has to say. She’s dead.” Bonnie says standing up. “I didn’t mean to upset you.” “You didn’t. I just don’t wanna talk about this anymore. I’ll see you later.” She says walking off. “Good job.” Elena says standing up. “Don’t get mad at me. She has powers for a reason.” I say getting my stuff. “How would you like it if you found out you were different from everyone?” “I would be happy. I would do something in my life, not just be forgotten in a decade after I die.” “O…” “Relax Elena. I’m not mad I just… Don’t get mad at me for everything that comes out of my mouth.” I say walking away from her to my next class. After school I walked outside Bonnie offering to take me and Elena home so she could talk to us some more about her dreams. I stopped when I see Damon holding the door to Bonnie’s car open for her. I haven’t talked to him since he told me why he killed Lexi. Granted he didn’t really tell me why he killed her. He had a plan? That didn’t mean it was okay to kill someone. It got everyone off our back but I don’t think they were on our back to begin with. “Octavia.” He says smirking at me. Taking a breath I walk around him not wanting to talk to him. I didn’t know what to say. “Giving me the silent treatment?” I stop but don’t say anything. “Still mad about me killing Lexi?” “I’m not mad… I’m just..confused.” “Confused about what?” He asks standing in front of me, a smirk still on his face. Sighing I open the car door and get in the backseat. He grabs the door before I can close it. “Remember Octavia. I’m not the good guy here. You girls have a nice day.” He says winking at me then closing the door walking off. “What was that all about?” Bonnie asks her luckily not hearing him talk about killing Lexi. “Don’t ask.” I say huffing. It doesn't take long for Elena to get in the car her asking whats wrong after so long of silence. “Damon asked me for my necklace again.” Bonnie says. “Bonnie you need to stay away from him he is dangerous.” “Only when he wants to be.” I mumble Elena glaring at me. “What?” “I don’t see you hanging around him.” “She’s right. You seemed like you didn’t even want to look at him today. What happened?” Bonnie asks looking at me through the mirror. “He did something I didn’t think he would do. He explained why but -” “He explained why?” Elena asks looking angry. “Kinda? Sorta… I don’t know. That’s not the point. He just proved to be a different person then what I thought he was.” I say looking out the window. “Why do you think he wants my necklace so bad?” “There is no point in trying to understand him. Just stay away from him.” “He just keeps showing up.” “Well call me the next time he dose.” “I think I would have better luck with Octavia.” “Why me?” I ask looking at her. “He seems less dickish around you.” Snorting I roll my eyes and look out the window zoning out until Bonnie stops the car. “Umm whatcha doing?” “This necklace is the cause of all my problems. I’m getting rid of it.” Bonnie says getting out of the car. “Is she being serious?” I ask watching as she throws her necklace into a field. “Well that answers that question.” I say me and Elena shearing a look. Bonnie was crazy. When Bonnie got back into the car my phone went off it a text from Caroline. Her asking if we could hang out. I told her yeah not telling her Bonnie was going to be at my house. Them fighting over the witchy necklace needed to come to an end. I was in the kitchen Elena and Bonnie upstairs when the doorbell rang. I smiled opening it seeing Caroline there. “Hello gorgeous.” I say smiling at her accepting her hug. “I need to talk to you but you can’t tell Elena.” “Oh I can do that. Step into my office.” I say walking into the kitchen and picking up my phone. “What are you doing?” “Ordering take out. I can’t hear something juicy without takeout.” I say earning a laugh. “Okay fine.” She says smiling. I jump up on the counter after I hang up. “Alright spill.” “You know the party the other night.” She says making my heart race. What did she see? Does she remember Damon feeding off her? Am I gonna have to keep her from trying to kill him. “Matt took me home and well stayed the night.” “What?” I ask shocked a grin on my face. “You slept with Matt?” “No. I just we cuddled and he slept in my bed. Fully clothed.” She says holding her hands up on the last part. Laughing I nod my head. “Okay I get it no sex happened. Did something else happen?” “No that’s it but now I feel all confused.” She says starting to pace. “What do I do?” “Did you talk to him?” “Talk to who?” Elena asks walking into the kitchen. “Gym teacher. Caroline wants to add flips to the cheering but she doesn't know if the school will let her.” I say coming up with the first lie that popped into my head. I sometimes worried myself how I could lie so easily. “Oh I’m sure they would just ask.” Elena says getting water out of the fridge just as the doorbell rang. “Food!” I say smiling jumping off the counter and going to the front door. Coming back into the kitchen Bonnie walks out her and Caroline fighting. “What did you do?” I ask looking at her. “Nothing. She’s-.” I cut her off by holding my hand up. “I don’t care. Go fix it if you want it to be fixed. If it’s still about the necklace Damon gave you it’s not worth losing Bonnie.” “Hey where did you get this.” Elena says grabbing my wrist looking at the charm on my arm. “Damon gave it to me why?” I ask pulling my arm free getting the food out of the bag. “Why would he do that?” She asks Caroline going to talk to Bonnie. “To keep Stephan from compelling me.” “He wouldn’t do that.” “He would if you asked him to.” “If this is about Jeremy I’m sorry.” “Don’t be. He’s happy I’m not gonna be mad about that but if I want to forget something it’s gonna be my choice.” I say going to sit at the dining table food in hand. “I have an idea!” Caroline says sitting beside me Bonnie joining. “You made up?” “Yes! And even better, I'm gonna help Bonnie with her problem.” “How are you gonna do that?” Elena asks sitting across from me. “We are gonna have a seance.” “I’m not doing that.” Me and Bonnie say at the same time. “Come on, it'll be fun. If your being haunted I say we summon the bitch and ask her why.”
“This is not a good idea.” I say us sitting in Elena’s room in a circle. It dark three candles lit in the middle. “Hush. Now hold hands and close your eyes.” Caroline says taking my hand. “I’ma kill you when this is over.” I say closing my eyes. “Take a breath and clear your mind.” Sighing I take breath but my mind is anything but clear. I was the only one who thought this to be a bad idea. “Bonnie call to her.” “Emily are you here?” She asks clearly a shiver running threw me. “See it’s stupid.” “Try again.” “Emily.” I jump when the door slams shut. “Oh no! I’m done!” I yell jumping. “Take it back I don’t want it!” Bonnie yells throwing her necklace in the floor. “What the hell was that?” I ask turning the lights on. “It wasn’t that bad.” Caroline says. “You asked a witch to summon a ghost!” I yell at her. “You don’t really believe she is a witch.” She says Elena and Bonnie walking to the bathroom. I spin around when the door slams again. Bonnie banging on it and screaming. With Elena’s help I try to get the door open. When Bonnie suddenly stops. The door opens showing her standing there. “Oh my gosh Bonnie you're full of shit. I’m going home.” Caroline says leaving. “Are you okay?” I asked walking up to her softly touching her. “I’m fine.” She says calmly moving past me. “I need to leave now.” She says picking up the necklace. “Bonnie are you sure your okay?” Elena asks. “I’m fine.” She says heading towards the steps. “Thank you for having me. I must go now.” She says starting down the steps. “Your not Bonnie are you?” I ask a weird feeling in my jut. She doesn't say anything continuing to walk. “Emily!” I call making her stop and look at me. “I have to stop him.” She says quickly leaving the house. “Call Stephan.” I say looking at Elena. “What why?” “Because the ghost of a witch is inside of Bonnie. Stephan and Damon knew her they can help.” I say grabbing my jacket. “Where are you going?” “I’m gonna go hunt me down a witch.” I say leaving the house hoping I find her before Bonnie gets hurt.
I get to the woods before Elena and Stephan. Her sending me a text on where Bonnie would be. Using a flashlight I walk thru the woods not to sure where I’m going until I hear a groan. I follow it seeing Damon pinned to a tree. “Oh my gosh Damon.” I say rushing at him and helping him down. It resulted in him landing on me. “Oh that hurts.” He groans rolling over. “Octavia.” Bonnie says drawing something in the ground with a stick. “Emily.” I say holding my hands up not knowing what she will do to me. “You can’t stop me.” “I’m not trying to stop you. I came here for Bonnie I-.” “You came here for him.” She says looking at Damon on the ground. “You care for him. You think there is good inside of him.” “There is good in everyone.” I say clenching my jaw. I didn’t like when people told me how I felt. “Stephan.” She says looking to the right slightly. I turned around to see him standing there. “Hello Emily.” He says making me glad I’m not the only one who knows what’s going on. “These people don’t deserve this. They should never have to know such evil.” She says going back to her drawing. “What evil?” I ask confused. “I won’t unleash them?” “Them?” Stephan asks Damon groaning behind me. I crouch down to him still on the ground gently touching his shoulder. “Emily tell me what you did.” Stephan calls to her. “To save her, I had to save them all.” “I don’t care about them.” Damon says pushing himself up to his feet Stephan next to us in an instant. “I only care about her.” “You did this for Katherine?” Stephan asks stopping Damon from moving. “She’s alive?” I ask my head started to spin. “This town killed 27 people and they deserve everything they get.” “They killed vampires Damon. Vampires!” “This isn’t about love for you. It’s about revenge and your playing innocent people for something that happened 145 years ago.” “It’ll happen again. They are already one to us and they'll burn her along with us.” He says pointing at Bonnie. “Things are different now.” Bonnie says dropping the stick. “I can’t free them and I won’t.” She says as flames grow around her. “Bonnie!” I yell trying to move closer but I get pushed back everything going black when my head smacks into a rock.

Tom took charge of the whole situation. He ordered that Alexianna pack an overnight bag for herself and Lily and that he would be back soon, he was going to do the same. They would be leaving first thing. Alexianna made an argument about her coursework to which she was told: “bring it”.
That night, Tom held Alexianna against him as sleep evaded him because of the day’s happenings and the same caused her to toss and turn for the night in fitful sleep. Come four AM, he had been sleeping lightly for a short time when he woke as he heard the door to Lily's room open. He listened as she rambled to the bathroom but instead of her going back into her room and closing the door, he heard nothing. Gently, he moved Alexianna to the side as she continued to sleep before getting out of the bed and over to the door. Opening it, he saw Lily sitting on the top step of the stairs, looking at him sadly. 'What's wrong, Princess?’
'I'm sorry, Daddy.’ She whimpered.
Tom didn't know the reason for her apology straight away, it was only when he put on the hall light and saw the back of her PJ's wet and the ashamed look on her face he realised what had happened. 'Okay, it's alright. This happens.’ He consoled kindly. 'Come here.’ She got up and walked over to him. 'You go into the bathroom and take off the wet clothes and I will get Mommy, okay?’ she nodded and did what she was told. Tom went into the bedroom and gently shook Alexianna. ‘Lexi, we have an accident.’
Alexianna groaned and stretched. 'Coming.’ She got up and got her nightgown. 'Where are we?’
'Lily is in the bathroom getting out of the clothes.’
'I'll deal with it, you go back to sleep.’
'You clean her up, I'll get the bed sorted.’ Tom instructed.
Tired and seeing that he was adamant that he would not be swayed, Alexianna merely nodded before going to the bathroom. 'Hey Munchkin, let's get you cleaned up.’
'I didn't know until it was too late, sorry Mommy.’
‘It’s okay, come on, we'll wash you up and get you comfy and ready for bed again.’ Alexianna kept her voice calm and relaxed and assisted Lily to get cleaned and redressed into fresh PJ's passed to her by Tom before bringing her out of the bathroom and back to her bedroom. There, Tom had redone her sheets and placed the soiled ones on the floor by the door. 'Ready?’
'Yes, indeed.’ He smiled and picked up the freshly cleaned Lily. 'You need to get back to sleep now Madam, we are going on an adventure tomorrow.’
'What are we doing?’
'Only girls who are well rested get to find out.’ He grinned as he lifted her up and placed her in her bed. 'If you have a problem, Princess, never hesitate to come and knock on the bedroom door, okay? Mommy and I are more than happy to help.’
‘Okay, Daddy.’ She sighed contently, grabbing Baloo and cuddling into it before leaning forward to kiss his cheek, then looking to her mother for one.
With her goodnight’s said and with no fuss made of her accident, the adults left and went back to their room.
‘Did I do okay?’ Tom asked curiously, having never done a night accident before.
'Tom? He looked at Alexianna curiously. ‘Thank you.’ he gave her a small smile. 'You are incredible.’
He kissed her. 'I only follow your example. Now back to bed, we are up again in two and a half hours if we want to leave at eight.’
'Yes, Sir.’ Alexianna joked with a salute before Tom chuckled and they got into bed again, holding her against him again as they tried to get some more sleep.
*
Lily inhaled deeply as the sea air entered her little lungs as the car drove by the coast. When she realised where she was going, the foul mood that had engulfed her over the past week disappearing immediately. When Diana stood on the footpath, she giggled and bounced in her car seat. When Tom pulled in, she beamed brightly out the window as Diana opened the door. 'Nana.’
'Hello, Poppet.’ Lily all but wriggled out of her car seat when Diana opened the clasp and into Diana's arms. 'I missed you.’
'I missed you too, Nana.’ She cuddled the older woman.
A moment later, Diana gave both Alexianna and then Tom hugs in turn. 'I missed all of you. You know, you don't require an occasion to come to visit.’
'Are you sure it's okay?’ Tom asked, pointing to Sarah's car, indicating that his sister was at their mother's also.
'The more the merrier.’ Diana beamed honestly. 'Sarah and Yakov left her Ladyship here last night, they had a wedding to go to. They should be back come tea time apparently.’ She informed them.
As soon as they entered the house, there was excited squeals as Sophia and Lily both realised that the other was there. The girls immediately rushed to the living room to play with their toys, giggling and laughing.
'So, what is the story? I am delighted to see the three of you, of course, but there is clearly something afoot.’
'Lily is being bullied in school.’ Tom explained. Diana's face went stern. 'She is so down in herself, both at home and out and about and yesterday she begged us not to send her in. Alexianna told her to tell the teacher if the boy bothered her again and when she went to try and do that, he beat her up.’
'The poor pet.’ Diana shook her head. 'Sure, she's the quietest little thing. I never met a child as naturally quiet as her.’ As though to make a liar of her, the very next moment, both girls screeched loudly. 'Bar when she teams up with her cousin, that is.’
‘But before she went in, I told her that should she be physically accosted by him, if she was being hurt, she has the right to defend herself.’ Alexianna explained further.
'How did that go?’
'I am going into the principal on Tuesday. I was called in because of our daughter's behaviour.’ She responded angrily.
Diana took a moment to think about it. 'I deplore violence, as well you both know.’ Tom and Alexianna nodded. 'It solves nothing. What did he do to her?’
'Tore her hair tie out, painfully and hit and kicked her.’ Tom recited.
'And she struck back?’
'Yes, just once.’
'Did she tell a teacher?’
‘She tried to.’
'So it's a "he said/she said" really.’ Diana sighed.
'Not really.’ Tom clenched his jaw as Alexianna spoke. 'Lils?’ A moment later, she and Sophia rushed into the room. 'Show Diana your leg.’
Lily's smile fell and she lifted the leg of her pants. There on her shin was a dark purple bruise. 'Shawn was mean to me, Nana, he hurt me.' She said with teary eyes.
Seeing such heartache, Diana extended her arms and Lily walked over. 'My poor little girl.’ She kissed the side of her head. 'You are such a wonderful little girl and you are incredibly loved by your family, you know that, don't you?’
'Yes Nana, I have the bestest family in the world. I have you, Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Dan and Auntie Anna, Auntie Emma and Uncle Jack, Auntie Sarah, Yakov and Sophia.’ She listed.
Diana felt herself smile at the addition of her family to Lily's view of her family. 'That's right, my dear. Now, why don't you run along now and go back to the game you were playing with Sophia.’ Lily's smile returned as she rushed off to play with her “cousin”. When the children left the room, Diana spike again. 'I see.’
'Her hair was also unkempt when I collected her.’ Tom explained. 'I thought nothing of it, I thought she was playing and the hair tie fell out but no, he tore it out and you could see the scalp was red. I took photos and have them saved, in case this needs to go further.’
Diana nodded. 'Good. State your case. You need to do right by that little girl.’ Alexianna and Tom nodded. 'And don't think I didn't hear your little piece on the TV.’ She smirked. 'I am so proud of you, sticking up for Lily like that.’
'A man defends his family.’ Tom smiled looking to Alexianna beside him before taking her hand and kissing it.
*
The weekend did a lot to brighten Lily's mood, as well as give Alexianna and Tom some time to think and plan their course of action. Sarah revealed a lot when she confessed that Sophia had suffered similarly to Lily to the extent they demand that Sophia be put in the other reception class in the school but also stating they considered changing schools because of the remarks on their daughter. The talk of changing schools made Tom consider his plan to talk to Alexianna regarding Lily going to Hampstead Hill again but he decided to say nothing until the result of Tuesday's meeting was known. He asked if she wanted him there and was met with an emphatic yes.
*
In truth, Alexianna was anxious as she sat in the office chair, even with Tom by her side as they waited for Lily's headteacher to join them. When he did, he apologized for being late as well introduced himself formally to them as her teacher sat in another chair.
'Ms Hughes, Mr Hiddleston, I am Thomas Martin, and of course, you know Ms Smith, Lily's teacher while Mrs Robinson is on maternity leave.’ They nodded in acknowledgement. 'We are here because of an incident last Friday where Lily struck another pupil. This school has a zero bullying policy, we state that clearly, so we need to discuss the procedure going forward with how we deal with this, have either of you anything you wish to say?’
'Yes, actually.’ Alexianna sat straighter in her chair. 'I wish to know what procedure will be given to the boy and Ms Smith?’
'I'm sorry, I don't understand.’ the headteacher looked at her. 'Why would they be involved in any procedure?’
'For the week of abuse my daughter endured before she finally defended herself against it. For the fact that she told her teacher about her issues more than once with her classmate and was dismissed and told to let him settle. For when I came to said teacher on Friday to ask about it only to be told that said the child was her priority and she gave no indication that she would discuss the matter with us at another point and then proceeded to snap at my daughter that she was delaying things. Where are the procedures for all of the above?’ Alexianna was seething as she listed the wrongs against Lily and her and Tom's attempts to seek a resolution. 'I am not a violent person, Mr Martin, I do not believe violence solves much in this world but I do feel my daughter has the right to defend herself when she is being assaulted by another pupil and I will fight to my last breath to defend her in this situation. On Friday morning, after a week of her becoming more and more withdrawn and unhappy, she revealed to us the reason for her depleting happiness and I told her to tell her teacher, but also that should she find that that was of little help, that I gave her consent to protect herself.’
'Violence does not solve violence.’ The headteacher began.
'Neither does sticking your head in the sand and pretending it is not happening.’ Alexianna retorted. 'Do I have to wait for my daughter comes home with a broken arm or suffers childhood depression and fears school because of one boy before I do something? No, I won't allow it and I will go all the way to the department before I let it happen.’
Tom looked at Alexianna in awe. The woman that was still working so hard to get back to herself was going full mother bear mode for her daughter.
'What does Lily say this boy did to her? I was not made aware of this.’ Mr Martin asked with intrigue.
'A few random hits and name calling through the week, she told Ms Smith who proceeded to dismiss her, then on Friday, when she was accosted by him again, she went to tell the teacher and he pulled her hair so hard her hair tie snapped and kicked her and hit her more, so she gave him a slap back.’
'I didn't see any of this.’ Ms Smith declared.
'It's alright.’ Tom stated, taking out his phone. 'I collected her and she told me what happened so I got on to a legal friend of mine who told me to document any and all marks she had, so I did.’ He showed the headmaster the photos of Lily's marks.
Mr Martin looked at them for a moment before inhaling deeply. 'Ms Hughes, Mr Hiddleston, I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to you both and I will also extend my apologies to Lily.’ He handed Tom back his phone. 'It is blatantly clear that Lily has been on the receiving end of this and I will ensure that it is dealt with.’
'Thank you.’ Tom put his phone back in his pocket.
'I would ask that you ask Lily to refrain from violence also.’
'I will tell her as I did before, she is not permitted to hit anyone for no good reason, but should she require defending herself and a suitable adult is not around.’ Alexianna specifically looked at Ms Smith as she stated those words. 'Or the assault continues, she is allowed to do so.’
‘I understand, well we will make sure that does not need to happen.‘ Mr Martin stated. 'Thank you both for your time. Ms Smith, have you anything to add.’
'The boy is a good child and is just settling in. He does not need to be dragged into this.’
'Perhaps you require seeing Lily's shin also?’ Tom offered taking out his phone again. 'This is not a “boys will be boys” situation, that excuse is for grazed knees and mud not assault. If we did not document this and she showed these marks to someone outside of our family we could easily be investigated for child abuse or neglect such are her injuries.’
'I frankly don't care about whether or not he is settling well.’ Alexianna stated. 'I know new schools are scary and I feel for him on that level, I really do but if you think for one moment his way of relieving his emotions supercede my daughter's health in my eyes, you are very much mistaken. My daughter has wet herself with anxiety caused by this Shawn boy and I will not have it. Her, her education, and mental well-being are my priority, above all else.’The teacher remained quiet after such a statement. 'Thank you for your time, I think I speak for both Tom and myself when I say we are pleased that you are seeing sense here. We had to rearrange work for this so we had best go and let you both get on with your day.’ She stated. 'I really hope we can meet next time on better terms.’
'As do I, Ms Hughes. Once again, I am sorry for all of this. Mr Hiddleston.’
Tom gave a small nod and a thank you before they left the room and went back to the car. 'To be honest, I am not overly fond of that teacher, or her attitude.’ Tom confessed.
'Nor I.’ Alexianna concurred. 'I feel guilty for being annoyed at Mrs Robinson for having a baby.’
'Come September, she'll have a new teacher.’ Tom consoled.
'Still, I just really am not happy at her being stuck around this situation.’ She sighed and let her head hit the back of the seat. 'I thought I was doing the right thing getting her into that school but I just feel like it is not the right fit for her.’
'We can look into other schools if you'd prefer?’
'She was registered in this catchment area, Tom, it will be hard to get her in anywhere else. The one closest us is Hampstead Hill and unless I get a magic eleven thousand pounds in my bank account every year, it's not going to happen.’
'We can look at other options.’ He rubbed her hand. 'Let's just see what happens.’

URGENT: Calling All Rilaya Shippers!
Hello, Rilaya Fandom - Lexi here!
I don’t know how many of you have heard about the Net Neutrality bill that was proposed by the FCC; but if you haven’t, let me give you a rundown:
First of all, what is Net Neutrality (feel free to correct me if anyone else knows about better than I do)?  Net Neutrality is basically a law that allows all of us to access the Internet for free, aside from the initial fee you pay to whatever Internet Service Provider (ISP) you use.  The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) wants to repeal this bill.  So if you use sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, Instagram, Ao3, FanFiction, Wattpad, even your email and pretty much any other website in existence, you will have to pay a certain extra amount of money per gigabyte to have access to these sites.  The decision is supposed to be made on Thursday, December 14, 2017.
And so far…… it is not looking good!
This poses a problem for so many people who use the Internet, obviously because a great majority of people wouldn’t be able to afford to access anything on the Internet.  Because of this, small businesses/entrepreneurs/content creators would lose a lot of their customers/clients/readers/viewers.
This includes the Rilaya Indie Project, which is an Indie film company I started back in May that is dedicated to the production of romantic fanfiction films about Rilaya (Riley Matthews/Maya Hart) from Girl Meets World, for the express purpose of providing proper onscreen representation for the LGBTQ fanbase of the show, who didn’t receive it from Michael Jacobs while GMW was still on the air.
I’m lucky I live in an area that is so open about the LGBTQ community that I am able to gather a cast and crew locally, which is what I am currently planning on doing; but because this fandom is spread so far apart - and still swept under the rug by mainstream viewers - this repeal of Net Neutrality would affect the viewership of the films by a lot.  This puts us as a company - and as a fandom - in a really tough spot, because we now have limited options for how we can distribute our films.
The only method that I can think of for distribution is to gather any interested viewers’ phone numbers and mailing addresses so I can put the films on DVDs and send them out that way.  But I realize that this could end up coming across as really sketchy, so I’m not sure if that’s the best way to do it.  Then again, this is the only feasible way that I can think of to get the films out to you guys, if you are interested in seeing them - ‘cause this could literally be the only way you’d be able to if this bill passes.
If anyone has any other ideas on the best way to accomplish this, please let me know; and yes, of course, please spread the word about this anti-Net Neutrality bill as much as you possibly can!  Because believe me, I want to be able to make these films providing actual LGBTQ representation for all of you, and get them out to anyone who wants to watch them, in the least potentially-dangerous way possible.  But until I find or hear a better solution, my submissions box is open to anyone who wants our films mailed to them in DVD form.
Thanks for listening,
~Lexi Moulaison
Rilaya Indie Project, Founder
P.S. Please reblog this to help get the word out!  Remember, we have until Thursday, December 14th, 2017 when the decision is made!

162 Candles - 1
Tumblr media
The first thing I see when I wake up is the roof, followed by a blond woman, brown eyes and fangs. I screamed and backed away from her, falling off the bed, My feet tangled in the sheets. I expect her to bite me or something, instead she's laughing.
She's actually doubled over in laughter. Okay am I in danger or?
The door opens and Stefan pokes his head in with a worried look, it fades when he sees the vampire laughing in the shade. "I thought I told you to leave her alone" He scolded as he approached me and helped me to my feet.
The vampires laughter died out but she was still smirking "Well sue me, there's a human living with my best friend. I had to see for myself" She said, defending her actions for scaring me half to death.
"So.." She said giving me a look over. "Is this Elena?" I feel my face flush red hot. I shake my head along with Stefan. "Lexi this is Ariel. Ariel this is Lexi, my best friend" He said with a smile.
Lexi smiled at me. "I'm sorry for scaring you" I smile lightly, still a bit shaken, well that wasn't really her fault, and wave it off with a hand.
"It's fine, really" My phone rings and I reach for it, checking the caller I.d. Matt. I swallow the lump in my throat before picking up.
"Hello?"
"Ariel where are you?"
"I'm at a friends house. Why what's going on?"
"Well they're asking us to go to the sheriffs office. Interrogation for Vickis disappearance"
"Okay, I'll be there in a few" I say before cutting the call. I turn to Stefan, "Did they call you too?" He only nods
"I'll wait for you outside" He says and leaves me to change and get ready. Lexi stayed, leaning on the wall by the open window. "You mind?" She asks, pointing to the window.
"You don't have a daylight ring?" I ask as I close the curtains, blocking the sun light. She lifts her hands up, wiggling her fingers. "Nope. Only Stefan and Damon have those" I scowl for a second as I grab a pair of clean clothes from my bag.
"So you've already Damon" She adds with a chuckle as she plops down on the bed. "Sadly" I mutter as I walk to the conjoined bathroom to change. I hear her move to the door, "So how did you find out about vamps?" I slip out of my leggings and respond.
"I might have appeared at the wrong moment" I said, slipping on my jeans. "What happened, you look like you've been crying all night"
I look myself in the mirror and realize she's right. I have circles from lack of sleep under my eyes, and my eyes are red and puffy. "I lost someone yesterday" I explained lightly. I sighed and applied a layer of foundation to hide that.
I open the door and find Lexi on my bed again. "I'm sorry for your loss" I smile as She hands me my purse and I take it, putting my makeup inside. "Thanks. "So what are you doing here?" I ask, not wanting to talk about the subject of loss any longer.
We leave the room and start heading to the door, When Stefan comes to view by the door is when she responds
"It's Stefan Salvatores Birthday" She said, smiling.
"Ooh is it" I ask with a smirk. He rolls his eyes playfully.
"Thanks Lexi" He says sarcastically. "Your welcome" I smile.
"Right well we go to go, I'll see you in a bit" He says opening the door, I give Lexi a smile before leaving. "Nice meeting you" She nods and waves,
"Likewise"
............
When we get to the station Matt shoots up from his seat and approaches us. "Where were you?" He asks clearly angry. He looks up at Stefan with a glare before back at me.
"We're you with him?" I am suddenly great full for the makeup. I shake my head and elbow him in the rib for good measures.
"No! Jesus, Matt Donavan!" I scold before walking over to Elena who sat with her aunt Jenna and Jeremy. She pulled me to the side,
"Were you with him? You came through that door at the same time" Elena said, stating the obvious.
I sigh and make sure Matt is out of hearing range. "Fine. I was, I just- I can't be in the same house as Matt. I'm just staying there for awhile" She nods understandingly.
The door to Liz's office opened and she asked Matt to come in. When it was my turn I mentally tucked away my feelings.
I've watching a lot of true crime so I know what the look for in interrogations.
Fidgeting, nervous habits- twirling hair, bitting nail, shifting positions-, faltering voice, etc.
I sit down in the chair and Liz starts with the questions.
"Did Vicki say where she was going?" I shake my head, "No, she didn't. She told Jermey to tell me and Matt she was leaving town"
"What was Stefan doing at your house?"
"He was trying to help her, with the drug problem"
"What was her behavior like those last few days before she left?"
"Crazy, up and down, Like she was coming down from a drug"
"Any signs of aggression or violence?"
"No"
"So you believe Vicki really has left town?" I nod.
"Yes"
That had to have been the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
Me and Matt step outside the station. Stefan is there waiting.
I stop by Stefan but Matt keeps going, ignoring him. "He was trying to help Matt!" I call out to him. The door opens once more and Elena, Jermey and Jenna step out. "I'll met you guys at the car" She assures her family. She walks over to us.
"I don't think the Sheriff suspected anything. Jermey had no memory at all. All he knew was what Damon made him know" Stefan nods "Thank you"
That's my cue. I walk away from them and lean against the wall. I jump when someone touches me. "It's just me" Elena says. "Are you okay? You look better" I pull out my makeup.
"The beauty of makeup" I say sarcastically. She smiles a little one corner lifting higher then another. I scratch the crook of my neck, "Hey is it okay, if I go to your place for a while. Stefans kinda having a friend over and I don't want to intrude" She nods
"Sure"
............
"Wow, so did someone throw a party and not invite me?" Bonnie asks, opening the door. Me and Elena are under the covers, I'm not sure exactly what we're failing at. We just got in bed and didn't say a word, contemplating over everything, that and I was at least trying to sleep.
"You two up?" She asks, Angling her chin to us. "No" I respond and throw the covers up to cover my face.
I hear Bonnies footsteps and brace myself. She grips at the covers and me and Elena cling to them. "No, no, no" We both protest. Bonnie stops and looks at us both.
"Why haven't either of you called me back?" Elena heaves a sigh, "We're sorry"
"Are you gonna stay there forever?"
"Yep" We both respond simultaneously. Bonnie sighs, "Move over" I sigh and move to make space for her.
She gets under the covers and turns to face us both. "I'm officially worried. What's going on?" Elena puts her head on arm to look Bonnie in the eye. "I'm tired of thinking, of talking. I-"
"Can I get a one line version so I can at least pretend to be helpful?" Bonnie pleads. "Stefan and I broke up"
"Oh are you okay, right stupid question. What about you Ariel?" I sigh, "It's complicated, if it helps I feel exactly like Elena" Bonnie sighs at the both of us.
"Look I know I've been kinda M.I.A. when you two needed me the most" Elena slumps off my arm, "Wanna make it up to us? Get our minds off it" Bonnie smiles
"Just remember you asked for it" She warns as she gets up out of bed. Elena and I sit up in confusion. Bonnie shuts the window close and grabs a pair of scissors, cutting open one of the pillows allowing the feathers to fly on the bed. "Be patient" She comments with a smile.
"Okay" I say, shifting in my seat. Bonnie sits down in front of us. "I need to swear you both to secrecy" She says with a serious tone. "It's kind of a bad week for that kind of stuff" Elena comments.
"Swear, cause I'm not supposed to be showing you this" "Ok we swear" I say.
"Ok, there are no windows open right?"
"Right" I confirm looking at the windows.
"There's no fan, no air conditioning"
"None what are you doing?" Elena asks. "Grams just showed me this. Your gonna love it" She says, smiling.
She puts a hand over the feathers and slowly lifts her hand up. A single feather follows, levitating with her movements. I watch in awe as she lowers her hand and the feather stops.
"Bonnie what's going on?" Elena asks, confused and surprised. Bonnie says nothing, she rubs her hands together and hovers them over the pile of feathers.
She lifts them up and several follow. She lowers her hands and the feathers sink. She stares at them and the majority float up in the air, surrounding us. I gasp in awe and me and Elena both rise on our knees.
I trace my finger over one as it passes. "It's true you guys. Everything my grams told me. It's impossible, but it's true. I'm a witch" I nod, smiling.
"We believe you"
~
Holy Frack, my best friends a witch!
"It's weird huh. All this time joking I'm a psychic. I really am a witch" We laugh. "You don't think I'm a freak now, do you?" Bonnie asks us, stroking a feather.
"No, of course not" I say putting a hand on her knee in reassures. "Uh, Bonnie I just- I don't understand, though. If your grams asked you to keep all this a secret, why did you tell us?" Bonnie simply smiles,
"You two are my best friends. I can't keep secrets from you two"
Why is the world so cruel, seriously I feel guilty enough.

An explanation and apology for my inactivity
Hello all,
Having come back to this blog after a long hiatus, I feel the need to explain some things.
So, I will sometimes take little breaks when my muse quits on me, of course, but usually I’ll announce it first.
In this case it was a little different.
First I just slowed down and only really RPed with one user, who at the time I was dating.
Two weeks ago or so, I found out they were having an emotional affair, and I confronted them. They sent me a blatantly manipulative message, and then dumped me. After that I re-evaluated our entire relationship and realized how abusive it was. It started with love bombing. Building me up and making me feel like I was her whole world. And then she just changed. I couldn’t talk to her about anything she did wrong or she’d guilt trip me, I couldn’t even talk to her about my problems because she said, verbatim, “my depression makes me too selfish” to help. You get the picture, I’m sure.
What does my relationship have to do with this RP blog of mine, you may ask?
Everything.
See, back in the love-bombing, lovey-dovey phase of our relationship she told me how ignored she felt in her RPs on Twitter, where she roleplayed Stanley (which is actually how we met... she’d call me her Lefou and I’d call her my Stanley, only, of course, it turns out I had a Gaston. Or maybe a Hans.) so I invited her to Tumblr, to RP with me to lift her spirits.
Only... well.
It didn’t go well.
Cause every time I RPed with someone else, ESPECIALLY a Stanley, she’d get upset/jealous and tell me she was an awful writer and I should RP with someone better- you know, the kind of guilt tripping stuff where I was supposed to tell her she was the best writer in the world and all that. So, I did. And I felt so bad and guilty with RPing, like I was hurting her if I did threads with anyone else, that I ended up dropping almost all my threads. I don’t think it was a conscious thing really, I did it gradually- first the one writer who made her the most jealous, who was another Stanley, and then other romantic threads, and then kind of everything. But I felt so bad, because I knew there were a lot of people I was disappointing by not continuing threads. So, eventually I stopped coming here at all, and told my now-ex that I just had really bad writers block. Even though she not so subtle-y hinted more than once that she missed our threads and RPs. (Funnily enough, her favorite time to RP or talk about Stanfou, it seemed like, was when I wanted to talk about RL stuff. It hurt my feelings, a lot.)
But now, here I am, things are over between us- she blocked me on almost all social media platforms, I think to make sure I couldn’t confront her?- and I’m coming back and realizing how much I let her take from me, how I gave her really ALL of myself and she couldn’t be bothered to do anything in return. So one thing I’m doing as a small step to moving on is taking this blog back. I deleted every interaction I had with her on this blog, and I am now plunging right back into RP.
If you used to RP with me, please feel free to message- I would love to start a thread again.
Thanks so much for welcoming me back here. I feel so much better having writing/RP as an outlet again, a way to channel my emotions that doesn’t involve a razor. It feels nice.
Thanks, and sorry again. Looking forward to starting to RP again!
Love,
Lexi

My Recovery
 ∆ ∆
Colby Lopez woke up the next morning with a mild headache, but he had, had worse. It took to him a couple of moments to remember what had transpired the night before, and when he did, he smiled. It had to have been one of best nights ever within the last three years since he betrayed his Shield brothers.
While trying to rebuild that trust for many of those friendships bonds he broke, he knew he had to be happy and surround himself with positivie people. And she was one of those people.
Despite remembering how big of an asshole he was to her backstage when she gave him the script or ending for that storyline or match when he was in his dark times, there was just something about her that made him feel good and that guy he was before he let his head get too big.
Colby Lopez didn’t want to be that guy ever again, and he would do everything in his power to ensure he wouldn’t hurt the ones he cared about or cared about him.
Checking his phone; it read 7:12 AM, nopped up, and a text from Jon sent ten minutes ago.
                                 [ IMESSAGE ]
                             Jon the Lunatic 💀
Jon the Lunatic 💀
Get up lazy ass! Come down and join us for breakfast!
                                                                                                        Colby 💪
Ugh, I’m coming, I’ll be done soon
ah shit, gotta go and check on Isabella. I’d be there in a bit.
Jon the Lunatic   💀
Huh, speaking of Isabella. I guess Bayley saw you enter Bellas room last night and people are talking. Now rumor is you two slept together…
Burying his face in his pillow, he groaned so loudly hating how he couldn’t support a FEMALE coworker without someone spread some rumor. This is exactly what he didn’t want. He had bad history with women, and he never wants someone like Isabella be dragged into his bad track record.
                                                                                                         Colby 💪
Fuck dude, she was throwing up, and I felt bad so I held her hair back and made sure she was okay in her room. I swear that’s it.
Jon the Lunatic 💀
Hey, I believe you man. You look at her differently than Zahra and Leighla. Just wanted to warn you and Isabella. Locker room gossip.
                                                                                                     Colby 💪
Thanks man, I appreciate it. See you in about fifteen.
Jon the Lunatic 💀
Yeah yeah, hurry up we’re starving. Slow ass.
Rolling out of bed, Colby got ready in black sweats and one of his Black and Brave t-shirts. His hair was tied up in a half way neat bun before he went downstairs to grab something heading to Isabella’s room.
Knocking hard and hallow a couple of times, he heard a faint ‘Coming!’ after the fourth knock.
When she finally opened the door, she had her arm propped on the handle of her wheelchair leaning her head on her hand as she rolled her forehead with a groan.“Morning,” Colby could tell she was experiencing a crazy headache. She was so wasted last night, and now she was now regretting it. She repiled with a morning back, but he knew that look. The I hate myself for drinking so much look “Bad headache?”
Giving him a nod, she moved over so he could enter as he dropped some aspirins in her hand “Here take this,” He brought a chair in from behind him catching her attention “I, urm, remember you saying last night that you fell in the shower so I thought a chair would be easier?”       Shocked. The woman was shocked. He brought the chair for her? He remember something small like that from last night? Oh sweet. “Oh, thank you Colby. I was thinking about how I was going to figure that out,” He came in observing she was in the clothes he put her in.
“No problem, I’ll put it in there for you. I was going to catch some breakfast with Jon…If you want, I can wait for you to-urm… shower and joins us?”
Her brain hurt to even think right now, but why the hell not? “Sure, give me ten, make yourself comfortable.”
"Got it boss.“ He joked before he sat in the computer chair when he was unexpectedly hit with a pillow she threw at him laughing at the fact he really called her boss.
Grabbing some clothes from her suitcase, she went into the restroom leaving Colby switching through the channels thinking about what Jon told him earlier and felt guilty still knowing he shouldn’t be getting close to her but he couldn’t help himself. He felt gravity was pulling him to her everytime.
'That sounds ridiculous Colby,’ He told himself before Isabella rolled out with a maroon long sleeve with a bull in the middle and a pair jeans on and sunglasses giving him a smile "Alright, let’s get some food. I’m starving.”
Leading her out, he walked along her side with peaceful silence before she broke it “Thanks for last night, and checking up on me this morning. I know I’m a little ridiculous when I’m wasted.”
"Ah, you weren’t even that bad, really,“ He assured "besides, you’re pretty great, I had a lot of fun.”      As did she. Realizing they were inching towards the elevator, he stopped in his tracks causing her to stop and turn to him “Colby? You okay?”
"I-I gotta tell you something,“ he started "when I came in your room last night-”
"Someone saw and the word is we slept together?“ How did she…? "Lexi gave me a heads up.”
'Lexi, makes sense’ he rubbed the back of his neck saying “Look, I get it if you don’t want to-” “Colby, I don’t give a fuck about what any of them think. Just same old locker room gossip.”
Phew, thank god. He thought as he shrugged seeing the rare smile tug on her lips “Okay, well come on then slow poke, I’m starving too.”
Jon was sitting in the lobby in the usual Jon Good attire, jeans, T-shirt, and a leather jacket. He admitted himself that he had a hangover, but he didn’t give a shit, he had a blast the night before. Since Renee had to stay for smackdown Live, she insisted that they’d have breakfast before she had to to the arena later on.
“So after Smackdown Live, I’ll fight out to Dallas and you come pick me up?”
WWE had Renee traveling a lot between the towns Raw was to Smackdown Live and directly to their Pay-per-view. It sounded exhausting to him, but damn Renee didn’t let it phase her at all. This woman was all go no stop.
"Yeah, of course I’ll come get you, as long as we get breakfast.“
   Grinning, she agreed "Deal.”
 ∆
"Aye, wow Isabel, you look-“ "Like shit yeah, I was going for that look.” She chuckled knowing Renee wasn’t going to say that, but why not break out some jokes?
"No, of course not,“ Renee chuckled as well "I was gonna say I love the jacket.”
Renee and Jon stood up as Colby and Isabella followed behind “Why thank you then, I regret drinking as much as I did.”
"You look fine! Besides, you’ll feel better after I tell you this,“ Renee paused making Isabella look up curious "Brianna and Nicole are meeting up with us.”
Jon didn’t mind the twins, them and Renee were super entertaining. Colby hadn’t seen either really since the weekend of Wrestlemania 31 when Brie retired and Nikki was rehabing from her neck surgery.
This made Isabella stop before asking “Will Birdie be there?”
“I love how you say the Bella’s are coming and her first question is will Brie’s baby be there.”
Isabella shrugged “Come on, I’m a sucker for babies.”
Oh god Renee knew that for a fact “I’m well aware of that, remember at Mania when AJ Styles brought his kids backstage? I swear you screamed so loud.”
"That was you screaming at Mania?“ Colby asked remembering that random scream and figured it was some of the women wrestlers happy, but now it makes sense. He chuckled when she admitted it was "So you like kids?”
"I do. I might kidnap Birdie.“ She joked before nudging him with her elbow before feeling her cheeks flare up with how embarrassed she kind of was about her love for children, all children.
By the moment he was learning something new about her. This fact however; was adorable. She loves kids. She’s nearly fangirling over the fact Birdie Joe Danielson will be at breakfast not about seeing some of her closest friends.
"Aye! There they are!” Jon cheered with some much enthusiasm-sorry mean sarcasm.
Renee squealed seeing her girlfriends and the newest little addition to the group as she did this little cute trot engulfing them in a hug. Jon and Colby being gentlemen, gave them side highs greeting them leaving Isabella very excited.
"Girly! Oh my god, how are you?“ Brie and Nicole came over and hugged the woman obviously aware of her situation so happy to see her with a huge smile.
Hugging them tightly, she answered "I’m good,” her eyes then were glued to the cutest baby she had ever seen “This must be Birdie.”
"See! I told you she’d be all into Birdie!“ Nicole took her seat as Brie handed her daughter to Isabella.
"I knew she would.” Isabella’s eyes lit up as soon as she got the baby in her hands. This felt so right to her. There was just something about babies and kids that made her whole.
"Hello little one, do you remember me? Auntie Bella?“ Birdie was comfortably sitting on her lap tightly squeezing Isabella’s index finger smiling at the unfamiliar woman.
Colby watched the interaction between Isabella and Birdie, and wow, that picture right there seemed to fit perfectly. Nicole nudged her twin sister Brie motioning her head over at Colby’s look on the baby and woman. It was super cute.
The twins were onto somethin’ here. Nicole started off "Colby! How have you’ve been?”
He quickly looked away turning his attention to across the table clearing his throat “I’m doing great actually, feeling really good. How about you, how’s the neck, oh and the wedding?”
"My neck is healing slowly, I’m trying to come back with Brie next year. Hopefully my neck will be a hundred percent, and as for the wedding! I feel more and more like a little girl on Christmas, but every day! Oh Bella! I’m gonna send invitations out soon! Do you want a plus one?“
Plus one? Who the hell would she take if Renee is taking Dean? Well, Colby could come…right? Eh, she could ask him later. "Urm sure, why not. I’ll find someone to tag with me.” She then turned her attention to the waiter quickly deciding on what to eat, oops, distracted by the little cute baby “What should I eat Birdie?”
"You should go with her Colby! I promise you’ll have plenty of fun!“
As Isabella gave the waiter her order, she handed Birdie back to Brie hearing Colby’s response "Maybe I will, unless you got a hot date already in mind?”
Scoffing at his comment, hot date? Who the hell was she gunna take with her that was even comparable hot to Colby? “Hot date? Psh, no,” She gave in chuckling with the others “I’d actually love if you could accompany me.”
"Aye brotha, you can suffer with me.“ Jon joked putting his hands defensively when Nicole shot a glare at him and Renee smacked his arm.
There was a reason why Renee and Jon got married in Vegas.
"Oh hell yeah!” Colby reached over and fist bumped Jon.
As everyone was eating, in middle was grabbing some eggs with her fork when a bolt of pain shot down from her arm to her hand causing her to completely drop her fork. She grabbed the attention of others at the table who had concern looks on their faces when she gave a painful smile.
"Sorry,“ She blinked confused freaking out a bit inside when she lost some feeling in her hand. Her lips spread to a thin line as she tried to regain the feelimg taking about a minute "Got it.”
Nicole looked at Brie remembering that happened to Bryan a couple of years ago. Brie, who could see her friend in frustrating pain, she was concern “You alright Isabella? I know the same thing happened to Bryan, and it’s scary.”
“I’m good, that’s hasn’t happened before.” She took her fork of food in her mouth.
Hasn’t happened before? That’s not good. “Did the doctors say anthing about that happening?”
"No, Hunter and Stepahine recommended some great doctors in New York, so I have an appointment next month around Summerslam.“ She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t nervous about what news they were going to present her. Life changing news perhaps.
Seeing as Isabella really didn’t want to discuss that topic, the twins changed the subject interrogating Renee and Jon of how it is in Las Vegas.
The rest of breakfast went smooth, and Isabella was a bit sad it was over; she loved listening to them talk. They all had these interesting awesome lives compared to hers.
"Oh Bella, I’m gunna miss you! Promise me you’ll say in touch? If you want someone to come with you to your appointment, I’ll be there in a heartbeat.” Nicole had an idea what her friend was going through, and Isabella supported Nicole attending some of her appointments as well.
Hugging the Fearless one, she smiled “Thanks Nicole, I promise I’ll stay in touch.”     Going over to hug Brie and Birdie bye, Nicole hugged Colby quietly saying “Keep an eye on her for me? You were giving her heart eyes earlier.” His eyes widened, not thinking that anyone had noticed.   ‎    "Oh you saw that?“ He nervously rubbed the back of his neck as she gave him the 'you like her’ look as he let out a nervous laugh "I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
Rolling her eyes she sighed “Sure you don’t, just keep an eye out. Let me know if she starts acting different. I know she’s just faking it, you know what I mean? She’s having a hard time.”
"I got her, and yeah. I understand that,“ By that time, everyone was ready to go "take care Nicole. Bye Brie, bye Birdie.” He waved at the little baby as the two groups departed.
Having some time to kill, they made their up the shopping strips as Renee was entertaining everyone.
“Ooh Jon, let’s look through this store.” It was some lingerie store that Isabella immediately was backing away from not wanting any part of that.
Glancing around to see what was around, the Just Sports shop caught her attention as a light bulb lit up, “Just Sports?”
"Yeah, sure why not.“ They walked over to the shop and entered seeing how much NFL gear they had.
"Bears fan right?” She recalled passing the Chiago Bear jerseys and shirts as he ruffled through them.
It was to miss to him walking around backstage with a Bears shirt on especially on Up Up Down. He nodded “Yeah, you like football?”
"I do actually. Love it,“ When she asked her favorite team, she answered "Eagles.”
“Oh really? Are you one of those crazy Eagle fans? You from Philly?”
She shrugged “I can be if someone pushes me to be, and I lived there for a couple of years. My mother was a huge Eagles fan.”
Colby nodded thinking it was interesting that she liked football, and wasn’t a Patriots or Cowboys fan like a lot of people were now these days.
Taking a look at the rest of the Chicago Bears gear, his eyes averted to the blonde curls that moved across the store to the Eagles section admiring the different kinds of women designed shirts they had. She searched through them to see if they had her size, they had her size in some of them, but a lot of them would show a lot of cleavage.
She wasn’t huge in cleavage. Isabella always has had a tough time shopping for clothes, more when it can go to because of how big her boobs where. Shirts either were too tight, or didn’t fit her well making her seem bigger than she was really was. The issue was, she had no self confidence, none, especially right now, so she hides a lot of her body.
"Maybe in a couple of months.“ She said putting away the incredibly cute Philadelphia Eagles majestic midnight green/ black  draft me v-neck that the male she was accompanied by thought look great on her.
Still waiting for Renee and Jon to finish up in the lingerie shop, Colby sat down at the bench with Isabella next to him enjoying a bit of the nice weather before it heats up in the desert. They shared small talk here and there before one of them made it super awkward.
Throughout their talks, he had been open to her about some things that she knew he hadn’t shared with anyone else just by the sound of his voice and but the way he kind of lifted his hands up as if he didn’t know what to do next or if he sounded silly. It was great because it was about some personal things; how he’s trying to regain the trust of his brothers especially from the Big Dog for betraying them and being an asshole, never allow his head to grow that big again, and to be a kind human being.
   So here was her attempt.
"You know before I took this job, I was offered a big scholarship for Track and I was going to take it. I loved running, it helped me out so much in my life, and I love it to this day. But there’s a point zero zero zero zero one chance I can ever walk again, and it really fucking hurts to know that.
"I don’t really know what do, you know? Everything’s changed. I don’t know where my happiness is, and really fucking scary because I’m about to be thirty and…” She shrugged knowing that she rambled a bit, but she felt comfortable enough with him to scrabble up her words hoping he’d understand what she meant. She sighed allowing her eyes to wonder about the scene around her, many couples and families around.
The wrestler completely could see that she was sincere about how she felt, and it makes sense. Losing the ability to walk or run again would be devastating to him; no wrestling, and cross fit.  Things he loved.
'Think of something moving to say you dumbass’ A voice in his head said. “If there’s one piece of advice I can give you, is you gotta make yourself happy. Happiness is everything, even if you gotta take that chance in your life and even think about getting a new job. Now, I don’t want you to go-” shit did he say that out loud? “But I’ll support you now matter what. Make yourself happy.”   ‎   Allowing a smile to spread across her lips, a real smile, she looked up at him “Thank you. It means a lot.”
"No problem,“ Seeing Jon and Renee exiting the lingerie store, Colby stood up when the couple joined them.
No matter what the fans said, Jon and Renee were made for each other, they’re so cute and Isabella couldn’t be happier for them that they’ve stuck together through it all. Jon had his arm around her shoulder giving his wife the love eyes. All so cute. From the looks of it, Renee actually got something for them, and Colby and Isabella picked up on that quickly.
"Well, I was gunna go looked around town and hit the gym before we leave later for Texas, care to join me Belle?” Colby thought it was right for them to leave the married couple with some alone time that they needed.
Isabella quickly accepted his offer “Oh why yes, what a great idea. You two have fun.” The married couple laughed catching on what was happening and waved at them as they walked off.
Renee glanced down in her bag where held a simple thing of perfume with a proud smile as Jon had his grin on his face. Mission accomplished.

new clexa fic!
hello friends! i decided to start a new clexa fanfic, a nice slowburn because i love dying. you can also check it out on AO3 here.
you just can’t see it yet - chapter 1
“Oh my God, Anya, can you let it go?” Lexa groans as she pushes herself off the couch, heading into the kitchen both to grab a beer and shake her obnoxious best friend.
“No, I cannot let it go,” Anya huffs, blocking Lexa’s way back out of the kitchen. “You two were together for five years, she can’t just move out one day and leave you a note!”
“Well, evidently she can, since that’s exactly what she did,” Lexa shoves past Anya and propels herself onto the couch, nearly kicking Luna’s head off.
“Oy, heathen, watch it!” she shouts before realizing that she just yelled at Lexa instead of Anya. “Oh, sorry, I thought you were Anya.” Lexa just shrugs, straightening herself up and sidling up next to her other roommate. “How’re you feeling?”
“I’ve been better,” she frowns, resting her head on Luna’s shoulder. Between her two roommates, Luna is by far the most empathetic. Her girlfriend, on the other hand, tends to dish out the tough love.
“Is Anya giving you grief?” Luna asks, not even giving Lexa a chance to respond before yelling into the kitchen, “Babe, stop giving Lexa grief! She’s mourning!”
“She shouldn’t be mourning, she should be letting me kick Costia’s ass for that shit!” Anya growls, the protector in her becoming very clear as she sits down on the arm of the couch. “I mean, what did that note say, exactly? I know you have it memorized.”
“‘Dear Lexa, I don’t love you anymore. I’m moving out, please don’t look for me. Best, Costia,’” Lexa recites, her cheeks going red at how well Anya knows her.
“Oh come on,” Anya whines, “that’s the worst thing ever! What did Clarke and Raven have to say about it?” Lexa casts her eyes downward, observing the swirling patterns intently with her brows furrowed.
“You didn’t tell them?” Luna catches on immediately, looking at her girlfriend over Lexa’s head. “Oh my gosh, she didn’t tell them.”
“Why didn’t you tell them?” Anya asks, her tone softening drastically. The two women know that if Lexa hasn’t told Clarke, then it’s much more serious than they anticipated.
“Clarke is having problems with Finn, I didn’t want to bother her,” Lexa shrugs as if it makes perfect sense. “And Raven is… well, Raven.”
“You should tell Clarke. You know she wouldn’t judge,” Luna nudges her a little. Lexa smiles weakly and stands up, excusing herself up to her room. She found the note in her and Costia’s apartment almost a week ago, and she’s been moving her things back into Anya and Luna’s apartment ever since. She tried to stay at her old place the first night, but she ended up cuddling Costia’s old pillow and sobbing into it, which Anya found to be incredibly off-putting when she showed up the next morning. Lexa’s never been the type to overshare, but she’s starting to get a nagging feeling in her gut because she hasn’t called Clarke since she came home to a folded piece of paper on her counter. Clarke’s been Lexa’s best friend since middle school, when they both ended up in the nurse's office after a very messy game of kickball. Lexa can’t recall a time where something this big happened in her life and she told someone else before Clarke, so she flops down on her bed face first and pulls her phone out of her back pocket. She presses the phone icon next to the blonde’s contact picture, one of Clarke ruffling her hair with a goofy grin taking over her features.
“Sexy Lexy, what can I do for you?” Clarke’s voice rings through the phone after two rings. Lexa can hear movement on the other side, a crackling sound as if Clarke was rubbing the phone’s mic against fabric.
“I, uh, I have to tell you something,” Lexa mumbles, biting down on her bottom lip.
“Okay, shoot,” she replies, the sound ceasing, signaling to Lexa that the blonde is finally still.
“Costia and I broke up.”
“Wait, what?” Clarke gasps. “Are you serious?”
“Well, yeah,” Lexa stammers, “she left me a note last week and-”
“She left you a note?” Clarke interrupts. “After five years together, after buying an apartment together, all she could do was leave you a note? What a fucking coward.”
“Clarke, it’s okay-”
“No it’s not,” she cuts her off again, which is abnormal for Clarke. She’s usually a very good listener, and almost never has this strong of a reaction to Lexa’s life problems. “My Lex deserves better,” her tone softens to one that’s sickeningly sweet, Lexa’s nickname flowing off her tongue like drizzling honey.
“Thank you, Clarke,” Lexa keeps her acknowledgement simple, afraid that any more talk of Costia might cause her voice to betray her.
“Hey, do you wanna come over? I know you’re probably sick to death of those girls. Raven and Octavia are away for the weekend, so we can have the apartment to ourselves,” Clarke offers, somehow already knowing that Lexa’s staying at Anya and Luna’s place.
“I’ll be over in ten.”
#
Lexa decides to walk the two blocks to her best friend’s apartment complex, since she hasn’t been outside in almost 48 hours and the weather is especially nice for March. After getting buzzed in immediately after she rang, the green eyed woman takes the elevator to the twelfth floor, her long fingers drumming nervously on the handrail. As she walks down the hall, her hands slip into the pockets of her peacoat, twiddling with her fingers where the inhabitants of the complex won’t see. Lexa barely has a chance to knock before the wooden door swings open, revealing a casually dressed Clarke, clad in dark grey sweatpants and a “nevertheless, we persist” t-shirt.
“Sorry, I’ve been waiting,” Clarke smiles, leaning one arm against the doorframe.
“Oh, sorry, am I late? I picked up some coffee on the way out of Anya’s building, I didn’t realize it would take me so long-” Lexa’s nervous rambling is cut short when Clarke tenderly wraps her arms around her, enveloping her in a warm and comforting hug. Clarke’s fingers brush nimbly through Lexa’s hair, making her green eyes flutter closed.
“What are you so nervous about?” Clarke pulls away slightly, her signature grin causing her eyes to crinkle ever-so-slightly. “It’s just me.”
“I know, I know,” Lexa shakes her head a little. “The past week, everything has just felt so… wrong.”
“I know, sweetheart,” Clarke brings a hand up to her face, stroking her cheek with the pad of her thumb. “I totally get why you didn’t tell me at first. I know I’ve been all over the place the past few weeks, and I feel terrible that I couldn’t be there for you.” Lexa finds the words catching in her throat as she stares into Clarke’s cerulean gaze, her eyes piercing into a part of her soul she didn’t even know was there.
“It’s okay,” Lexa says meekly. “I know you’ve been having problems with Finn-”
“Please, anything but Finn,” Clarke groans, shimmying out of Lexa’s loose grip and sidling back into the apartment.
“Okay, well I know you’ve been really busy doing commission work, and I didn’t want to get in the way,” Lexa changes the subject as quickly as it came up, but she can’t help but wonder why Clarke was immediate to shut the topic down when she’s usually vocal about her relationships. Very vocal.
“You’re not in the way,” Clarke looks at Lexa over her shoulder, holding up two beers, to which Lexa nods. She knows deep down she shouldn’t be drinking to forget, but what’s one beer, right? Clarke slides the bottle across the counter and Lexa grabs it just before it falls off, placing the cool bottle on the back of her neck in a sorry attempt to relieve the tension. “Incoming,” Clarke shouts and tosses a bottle opener though the air which Lexa catches with ease, brandishing the object in one hand and smiling at the Vancouver engraving. “I see you haven’t lost your softball skills,” she snickers and Lexa rolls her eyes, popping the top off and tosses the top in a perfect arc, sending it into the recycling bin with a clatter.
“You flatter me,” Lexa leans forward on her elbows, her “Clarke smile,” as her friends call it , returning for the first time in over a week. “So what’s new?”
“Well, I’ve got a big piece in the works,” Clarke begins. “It’s for this hot-shot independant contracter who, funnily enough, has the ugliest house on the planet.” Lexa stifles a laugh at Clarke’s unabashed insulting of the man paying her for her work. “He wanted something to show his wife that he loves her, so,” she gestures vaguely to a large canvas covered by a sheet across the room. Lexa quirks an eyebrow for permission and Clarke just shrugs, taking a sip of her beer to contain her nerves. Clarke is perpetually nervous when showing other people her art, especially Lexa. She’s always been a big supporter of her pursuit of art, but she still feels tension churning in her stomach as Lexa peels back the sheet, unveiling the mostly-finished painting. Lexa’s eyes widen at the organized mess of colors outlining a woman holding a silk sheet around herself. The stripes of color blend effortlessly together and surround the woman in the painting, drawing her tan skin forward and allowing the grey sheet sink to the back of the canvas.
“Clarke, this is…” Lexa trails off.
“It needs some work, I know,” Clarke sighs. “I haven’t finished shading her shoulder or the crease of the sheet-”
“Be quiet, it’s beautiful,” Lexa admonishes. “Your work… It always blows me away.”
“Thanks,” Clarke smiles.
“Is that the guy’s wife then?”
“Yeah, I asked him if she’d sit for me,” Clarke replies. “I’ve always liked painting the female form. Gives me an excuse to observe” Lexa tenses ever-so-slightly at the blonde’s nonchalant comment. As far as the five of them know, Clarke is the only one who’s straight, but Lexa’s always had her suspicions. They did share one drunken kiss during a round of truth or dare sophomore year, one that the green eyed woman still feels ghosting her lips, but Clarke’s been dating any man with a pulse ever since, so she’s never had a chance to follow up on her theory. Not that she wants to.
“It looks good,” Lexa swallows, not sure how else to veer away from where Clarke slyly directed the conversation. “I know you said you didn’t want to talk about it, but I’m always here for you regarding Finn.”
“I know you are,” Clarke approaches her and sets a hand on her arm, “and I’m thankful, but he’s out of town and I’m trying to enjoy the lack of nagging in my ear. Would you be opposed to eating junk food in front of the TV and cuddling all night?”
“Who could say no to that?” Lexa shakes her head fondly and Clarke pumps a fist in the air, proceeding to rattle off a list of snacks they “just have to have.”
#
After spending half an hour in the local grocery store, Clarke running around like child grabbing everything with a ridiculous caloric intake, and Lexa looking over her shoulders to make sure her best friend didn’t run into anything, they finally approach the register. Once they place their items on the belt, Lexa offers to pay and hands the older woman working the register her card before Clarke has a chance to say anything, so instead she throws an arm over Lexa’s shoulder, brushing through the thick strands of hair.
“You two make a beautiful couple,” the lady comments with a kind smile.
“Oh, we’re not-” Lexa starts but the words catch in her throat when Clarke slips her hand into Lexa’s.
“Thank you so much,” Clarke smiles widely, her gaze shifting between the cashier and Lexa’s confused expression. She gives the green eyed woman’s hand a little squeeze, which does little to appease Lexa’s rampant confusion.
“How long have you ladies been together?”
“Since high school,” Clarke replies without even thinking about it. “We were best friends first, but we both eventually realized what we really wanted.” Lexa’s jaw drops at the darkened look in Clarke’s blue eyes.
“Oh, that’s so sweet,” she says moreso to Lexa, handing her back her credit card. “You two have a great evening.”
“Thanks, you too,” Lexa mumbles and uses the grocery bags as an excuse to let go of Clarke’s hand, her palm sweating out of sheer stress as supposed to heat. She grabs the bags as quickly as possible and rushes out to Clarke’s car, leaving the blonde standing dumbfounded at the conveyor belt. Clarke takes a minute to think about what the hell she just did, and her head quickly falls into her hands. What was I thinking? She finally unfreezes and makes a beeline for the door, rushing to the car after her best friend.
“Lexa, wait,” Clarke jogs after the brown eyed woman, who is loading the groceries into the trunk. “Hey, I’m sorry, that was inappropriate. I guess my imagination got the best of me.”
“It’s okay,” Lexa sighs, turning around and leaning back on the car, “I was just surprised, that’s all.” Clarke just smiles at her before slipping into the driver’s seat, leaving Lexa to wonder why Clarke’s little stunt affected her so much.
#
“Clarkie, we’re back!” Raven shouts as she comes crashing into the apartment the next afternoon. Lexa had just returned to Anya and Luna’s apartment to go house-hunting, insisting to Clarke that she was fine to do it alone.
“Oh God, please go back,” Clarke groans, barely lifting her head up from the couch, her peripheral allowing her to see Octavia hanging off of Raven like an extra limb, once again exhibiting their inseparability.
“You love us,” Octavia tears herself off of her girlfriend’s body as if it was causing her physical pain before flopping down directly on top of Clarke, the blonde letting out a ridiculous grunt. “How was your weekend, Griff?”
“It was good,” Clarke grits out before she shoves Octavia off of her, sending the dark haired woman rolling onto the floor. “I saw Lexa.”
“Wait, you did?” Raven overhears from the kitchen. “When?”
“She came over yesterday, in the evening, and then she left a few hours ago,” she replies, sitting up after she realizes that she’s going to have to explain the story to her nosy roommates. “Her and Costia broke up.”
“No way,” Raven sits back down next to the blonde, a glass of orange juice in hand. “What happened? I thought they were doing well.”
“I have no idea,” Clarke sighs. “She didn’t really want to get into it, but I do know that she only left a note.”
“Seriously?” Octavia gapes. “What a dick move.”
“I know,” Clarke nods and snatches the orange juice from her friend’s hand, taking a large gulp before Raven smacks her upper arm and takes it back.
“Did you tell her about Finn?” Octavia blurts out and Raven shoots her a silencing glare.
“No, I didn’t,” Clarke bares her teeth ever-so-slightly at Octavia. “She had plenty of her own shit to sift through. I offered to go look at apartments with her today and I was going to talk to her about it then, but she said she could do it alone.”
“Sounds like you’re making excuses to me,” Raven raises a skeptical eyebrow.
“Piss off,” Clarke rolls her eyes and gets up from the couch, stomping down the hall into her room and slamming the door behind her. The blonde rests her head against the door, lightly banging against it in an attempt to force the whirlwind of thoughts out of her brain. She eventually pulls out her phone and clicks on Messages, then on Finn’s contact, scrolling through their messages from a few days ago.
Clarke [19:21] i just can’t believe you would cheat on me
Finn [19:48] I’m not cheating on you.
Clarke [19:48] yeah, not anymore, but you were and we both know it
Finn [20:12] You have no proof.
Clarke [20:12] it’s not about proof, it’s about the fact that if you’ve been faithful, you should be denying it vehemently instead of saying i can’t prove it
Finn [20:22] I’m not going to keep doing with this you.
Finn [20:23] You want the truth? Fine, I cheated on you.
Finn [20:23] We’ve been together for six months and you’ve never put out. And Bellamy said he had the same problem with you!
Clarke [20:24] you talk to bellamy about me? are you serious? fuck you
Finn [20:31] Yeah, fuck you too.
Finn [20:32] Don’t message me again. I’m done.
Clarke tosses her phone onto her bed and soon follows its path, screaming half-heartedly into the pillows. She lays there thinking about her status with Finn for who knows how long until there’s a hesitant knock on the door.
“Octavia, you and Raven can both fuck off,” Clarke shouts at the door, making no move to get up.
“Uh, it’s me,” Lexa’s timid voice is muffled by the door.
“Shit,” she mutters and opens her bedroom door, revealing a formally-dressed Lexa with her hair in an intricate set of braids.
“Raven called, she said you needed me for something?” Lexa’s adorable smile never fails to cheer Clarke up, and she can’t even muster up enough anger to be mad at Raven for calling Lexa while she was busy.
“I’m sorry, I know you were out doing something, I didn’t ask her to-”
“I know you didn’t,” Lexa chuckles, “Clarke Griffin never asks for help. And besides, you helped me yesterday, so I’ll help you today.” Lexa invites herself into Clarke’s room, kicking off her heels and hanging her jacket on one of the wall hooks before sitting on the edge of the bed and patting the space next to her. “C’mere, sit.” The blonde pads shyly over to the bed, sitting cross-legged facing her best friend.
“What’s up?” Clarke asks lightly, her eyes faltering away from Lexa’s powerful gaze. She’s afraid that if she stares into the green orbs for any longer than she has to, she’ll completely lose herself and let Lexa see all of her, though for a moment, Clarke wonders what’s so wrong with that.
“What happened with Finn?” Lexa inquires, her voice just above a whisper. Clarke bows her head and trains her eyes on the carpet, reluctant to share the incident that she finds embarrassing with her best friend. “Hey, you can tell me,” Lexa places a reassuring hand on Clarke’s knee. “I don’t judge.”
“We- He broke up with me,” Clarke finally looks up at her best friend. “He was cheating on me, and then he had the nerve to dump me. All because I confronted him.” Clarke chokes on the last few words and a few tears spring from the corners of her eyes.
“Oh, honey,” the brunette sighs, wrapping her arms around Clarke’s waist, the two molding together, the feeling reminiscent of coming home after a long day. Clarke eventually stops supporting herself enough to sit up as she cries, sending both of them tumbling back on the bed, but conforming to each other just as easily. Lexa’s nimble fingers run through blond locks, whispering sweet nothings into Clarke’s ear as she falls asleep.
“I’m here. It’s okay, I’m here.”
#
An obnoxious knock at the door wakes both the women up from their spontaneous evening nap. Clarke groans and lifts her head off of Lexa’s stomach, untangling their legs and sitting up straight. Lexa finds herself shivering at the loss of warmth, reaching blindly around the space beside her for her best friend. The door swings open and reveals a dumbfounded and yet smirking Raven.
“You two do know that it’s gone nine o’clock, right?” Raven asks rhetorically, picking up a stray pillow from the floor and chucking it precisely at Lexa’s torso. “Woods, you babysitters are here.” Clarke hears laughing in the living room, Anya’s distinct cackle ringing out and causing Clarke to shoot up from the bed and jog down the hall.
“Look who it is,” Luna comments when the blonde appears in the wide doorway.
“Griffin decided to show up,” Anya jokes, taking a bite of the pile of food on her plate. Octavia, Anya and Luna all sit gathered around the dining room table, with six places set. Clarke is suddenly hit with the reminder that the six of them were supposed to have dinner together tonight, since it’d been a few weeks since they all saw each other.
“Oh shit,” Clarke gasps. “I totally forgot that was today.” Clarke slides down in the chair next to Luna, the older woman starting a conversation about Clarke’s art. Meanwhile, Raven is mulling over what she just walked in on. Her best friends, that she’s known since high school, tangled up in each other halfway down the bed. The mechanic has always had her suspicions about the two of them, and now that they’re both single…
“Anya!” Raven yells down the hall for her friend. “Come here, I have an idea.”
