Genuine question for the hotd fandom in general - what could Alicent have done differently when it came to Dyana’s rape? What would have been a better but realistic outcome for Dyana?

"Madainn Mhath” …Fellow Scot, I hope the day brings joy to you…. Bella was eager to get out and walk this morning, so we set out at 3.45am to stretch our legs and left the rest of the house sound asleep, .. the town sprayed mosquito killer yesterday (Malathion) as a preventive smells slightly sweet, so Bella is interested in this new smell ... but for me the Night Blooming Jasmine is the one I would follow such a rich and exotic smell...
SPORRAN MAKER FOR THE STARS FINED AFTER SUBJECTING WOMAN TO FOUR-MONTH STALKING HELL…. It’s the second time the ex-RAF airman has been in court for terrorising women after previously attacking a teenage girlfriend. Marcus Eagleton, 45, was fined £500 for sending letters, emails and a gift to Stacey Wellman against her will. It’s the second time the ex-RAF airman, whose clients include Prince Charles, Billy Connolly, Samuel L Jackson and the Beckhams, has been in court for terrorising women. Eagleton, whose handmade sporrans sell for about £600, made headlines last week when he unveiled a one-off Union flag sporran bag, which will be sold to raise funds for victims of the recent terrorist attacks. His latest court appearance happened in March but has only just come to light. Eagleton, of Murthly, near Perth, pled guilty at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at the earliest opportunity. The charge said between May 21 and September 12 last year he engaged in conduct at a number of addresses in Perthshire and Fife that caused Stacey “fear and alarm”. It stated that he “sent her two letters, repeatedly contacted her by email and sent her a gift” contrary to Section 39 of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010. Eagleton was originally accused of repeatedly turning up at Stacey’s home and phoning and texting her but these allegations were dropped.
US FLAG FOUND AT GLAMIS CASTLE TO GO INTO SPACE…. A STARS and stripes flag found in attic at Glamis Castle is to go into space. The old American flag was spotted by NASA astronaut Doug Wheelock during a private tour of the castle in Angus, Scotland, childhood home to the late Queen Mother. Mr Wheelock, who has made two trips to the International Space Station, couldn’t believe that his country’s flag was in a Scottish castle and immediately started taking photographs to show his friends back at NASA’s headquarters in Houston. His interest and enthusiasm was noticed by Kirriemuir man John Smith, a former NASA security consultant who started the Scottish Space School which has has brought many astronauts to speak to children in Scotland. Mr Smith relayed the astronaut’s enthusiasm to Mary, Dowager Countess of Strathmore at Glamis Castle who offered Mr Wheelock the flag to take into space. Mr Wheelock, who is due to go into space again in two years’ time, collected the flag at Glamis Castle on Saturday. He said: “It was June 2015 when I had the tour of the castle and got to see some of the out of the way places that tourists don’t normally get to see. “We went into an attic room where there were some flags hanging and of course the stars and stripes caught by eye. “I counted 48 stars and I realised it was an old flag from the early 1900s before we had the last two states. “I took lots of pictures of it and I told all my friends ‘you wouldn’t believe what I saw in an old castle in Scotland’. “I wasn’t expecting to then be offered the flag to take into space, which of course I’m very excited to do.” Mr Wheelock has spent 178 days in space and previously done six space walks and “takes credit” for teaching British astronaut Tim Peake how to space walk. He added: “I can’t wait to unfurl it aboard the space station and we’ll take lots of pictures. “My goal would be to get a nice clear day as we are over Scotland and get a picture with the flag and the UK in the background. “It’s such an honour. I feel a great connection to Scotland – I’m from the North Eastern part of the US which is very rural, very green with lots of hills and trees. Scotland feels very much like home. “I flew on the space shuttle Discovery, which was named after the Discovery ship that is in Dundee. I feel a great connection to the Scottish people.” Mr Wheelock gave a series of talks to children in Fife schools with former astronaut Robert Cenker last week as part of the Scottish Space School. He presented Tommy Baxter, the general manager at Glamis Castle, a patch from his space suit on a signed board by the crew members of the Space Shuttle Discovery. Mr Baxter said: “I don’t have the foggiest idea how we came to have this old flag. “I know it was previously flown in honour of the Countess above the US Capital building in 1997 and she is delighted to offer the flag to go on a space mission.”
BUMPER CROWDS AT STRATHMORE HIGHLAND GAMES….. A record number of people attended Strathmore Highland Games at Glamis Castle yesterday. Organisers were delighted at the bumper crowds to see some of the finest athletes on the Highland Games circuit. The games included traditional heavyweight events such as the shot-put, the hammer and tossing the caber, which was cut on Glamis Estate. There was also solo piping, a pipe band competition, Highland dancing, running and cycling on the track and a Tug of War championship. Committee member Lorna Cochrane said the Games had attracted people from all over the world She said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed at how many people have showed up. “I don’t know how many people are here but it’s running into the thousands. We are six people deep around the ring. It’s absolutely phenomenal. “We’ve got people here from all over the world including Australia, Germany, Belgium, America and Canada. “The standard of competition is absolutely exceptional as always. “It’s grown and grown over the last 40 years. Every year it just gets busier. It’s so great to see so many competitors take place again and supporting us. Without them we don’t have a show.” A new competition this year was a junior heavies event for under-18s, which was won by American Issac Moore. The Games linked up with Webster’s High School to introduce them to some of the disciplines and five Kirriemuir boys took part.
REBUS AUTHOR IAN RANKIN CONGRATULATES CREATIVE STUDENTS….  Rebus author Ian Rankin awarded scholarships to three creative students from Fife College. The crime writer took time out from his latest book to present Andrew Wilson, Isla Fairfield and Caitlin Sharkey with their award at a special celebration managed by the Adam Smith Foundation, which looks after the scholarship programme.. This year’s scholarship was open to students studying a wide range of creative courses including journalism, TV, radio and acting and performance. To take part, students submitted a piece of creative writing which Ian judged. Andrew, 20, from Aberdeenshire and Caitlin, 19, from Leven, both study HND practical journalism while Dunfermline teenager Isla, 18, studies HND acting and performance. Andrew was delighted to receive an Ian Rankin scholarship for the second year running. The winning students joined Ian for lunch where Ian also gave an insight into his writing process The author said: “The scholarship programme is a great initiative and I am delighted to be involved and to give my support. “I always look forward to reading the students’ work – each year they surprise me with their breadth of ideas, inspirations and talent. “It was great to meet this year’s award winners in person and to also come home to Fife and Kirkcaldy for a short visit.”
KNITTING GROUP CREATES ‘NON-OFFENSIVE’ SCOTTISH GOLLIES…. A group of knitters have created what they say are “non-offensive” gollies with a Scots twist with blue skin, red hair and a kilt - called SCGOLIS. Morag Douglas and her friends came up with their ‘Scgoli’ after ‘’reminiscing’’ about old childhood toys golliwogs - since deemed racist. They discussed how traditional gollies had become the subject of racist debates in recent years due to their depiction of black people. The dolls are usually considered a black caricature with large red lips, afro-style hair and dressed in traditional minstrel clothing. But Morag, Margaret Iwa and Fiona McLeod thought they could create a “non-offensive Scottish version of the doll”. They have taken the dolls on trips around the world, sharing hundreds of snaps of flame-haired Scgoli in different locations. And the doll’s adventures are now set to be published in a new children’s book. Morag, 47, who owns a pub in Burntisland, Fife, said: “The idea came about at our knitting club. “We were talking about a story we had seen in the news about a controversy surrounding gollies. “One thing led to another and eventually we came up with the idea to create a non-offensive Scottish version of the doll. “It’s an old classic with a Scottish twist. We never had any idea how successful he was going to become.” The Scgoli doll is nine inches tall and completely blue to symbolise Scotland’s cold climate. He also has curly ginger hair and wears a kilt. And when the doll became a success with punters in their village of Burntisland, Fife, Morag and her friends decided to make additional ones - a dad and a granny. The knitters even set up social media profiles featuring hundreds of snaps showing the dolls visiting destinations around the world. Punters from The Star pub have taken the cuddly toys to places as far as Monte Carlo, London, Dublin and Malta.
