i made myself a cat fursona!! this was so much fun!!!!! ☺️

#fursona #itsa me #ive tried a couple other animals but they didnt feel quite right #lo and behold i just try drawing myself as a cat once and im like !!!!! THIS IS IT #i dont care if its cliche i fucking love it so much!!!! this feels so me #almost more me than drawing myself as a human somehow??? do other furries feel this way about their fursonas?#ive never rly had one before but it feels like such a true expression of ME which is really fun #i love my actual physical body and all but it sure is fun feeling like a kitty cat #also my wife is a unicorn! hehe im not as good at drawing pony faces but now that i have a fursona i can draw us together and practice #everyone should make a fursona if u havent before this was so so so cool and fun

shep I was talking to my brother about dbhc xisuma as one does and mentioned that ask about not being able to puzzle xisuma's face together mentally and my brother joked that the reason you put the spoiler bars and such on his face is cause you cant draw his whole face yet 😂

#HEHE thats rly fun though i hope your brother is enjoying the osmosis XD #truthfully... drawing xisuma's face is still really difficult for me... bc he's always like. the character whose personality and character #like. comes from the fact that we never see his face? and so there's something about him that feels more... right when his face is just.#a mystery #but i DO have a facecanon for him. esp for dbhc bc its important. even if when i think Xisuma i don't think of his face the way i might whe #I think of other characters. that isn't the reason why I spoiler it though XD when we get the face reveal it'll be obvious enough. i hope #LMAO.#anyway #idk like #some of the first sketches i did of Xisuma's face will still be my favorites tbh #it's hard to capture the same energy of a rough sketch when you try to sharpen those soft edges into a clean picture yknow?#i HAVE gotten better at it though.... square-ish face but soft on the edges... kind blue eyes... hair always tied back tightly and neatly #idk. i think about him a LOT #especially lately but we knew this hehehe #i think he deserves to take the helmet off every once and a while and just. breathe and get out of his own head yknow #i think he gets better at it in s9 even if he only takes it off around people he really trusts (keralis and cleo)#not that doc hasnt seen him or that he distrusts doc but... well. that whole relationship is a work in progress since season 8 was. well #anyway im really and truly rambling <3 #xisumas face is both an enigma to me and a soft sturdy shape in my brain... its hard to replicate consistently but those doodles are #just for me anyway =w= <3 #(and a few select others. who Know. you know who you are)

#the sapphics got to me okay. portrix real #it's so cute how they go from falling asleep tgt at the presses to having a room to share #adamandi #portia elizabeth harper #beatrix valeria campbell #it was a doodle and then i was like i want to make it softer so i painted it over and in the process rendered it somewhat #it's still quite sketchy akdhfj but u get the vibes!! ++ tried out using a Lot more noise than usual #so that's like the New Art Takeaway from doing this.#;;; i feel like every time i draw wlw fluff it's stepping back deep into my comfort zone haha but yes. soft cosy comfy etc.#my brain was not processing enough to figure out casual wear so this is kind of just the stripped down costumes akdhdjdh but yeah #bonus side note here is i was like hehe wouldn't it be fun if beatrix hand + portia ribbon. as like a nod to contrast how #previously it was strings on their hands instead. and now she cut them off bc portia and also smth smth about the difference #between tying (the strings) and choosing to hold (ribbon) and sjdhdhfhfh ue.#*incoherent noises* it's about the softness. the touching. the idea of choice- but less afraid of losing it- smth smth inherent trust also.#knowing tomorrow you'll still be there..#<- sorry there's a silly little conceptual thing in every adamandi thing i make i think #i would love to say this was For Adamandi Week but i do very badly with timed events so the truth is just. i woke up and saw #@/regret-repentir 's post (which is so so lovely actually) (credit where credit is due) and then spent the next 1.5h drawing portrix #the prompt was post graduation i think? but seeing as i didn't really respond to the prompt itself #it doesn't rly count in my head as a prompt response for the event. idk #it technically works. but also it feels like false advertising...#<blinks> fun times include this being the first time i've drawn adamandi characters entirely without reference. they have been blorbo-ified

thanks for the tag @in-flvx 💜 this one’s from a wip that was supposed to have been finished & posted for jilypad week but,,,,here we are,,,,,

“Sirius!” Lily exclaims. “We were looking for you.”

“Oh?” He presses a quick kiss to her cheek before bending down to pick Harry up, who immediately cuddles into his arms with a tired sigh. Poor baby, must’ve been exhausted by all the excitement at the beach.

“Yeah, regarding tonight—“ Sirius gulped quietly at the way she said that “—Your room is a bit…messy, I’m sorry. We were reorganising and well, y’know how it goes…”

She shrugs apologetically but all Sirius can think about is how she called it ‘his room’. Not the guest room, not the spare, but his room. Sirius’. He once again pushes past the mushy feelings that rise in him at that little distinction.

“Oh, it’s—it’s fine, I can just take the couch, no problem.” Even if his feet tend to hang off the end, and the edges are a bit lumpy, it’s fine. He resolutely doesn’t think about his comfortable Alaskan King at home.

“Of course you can’t!” Lily scowls at him. “We’re not gonna put you in a couch in your own house, Sirius.”

There it was again, the reference to him belonging here. It was a bit presumptuous, slightly possessive but Sirius was a dog at heart, he was never going to turn down ownership.

“Er—the nursery, then?” he asks, confused.

“What, crammed up in Harry’s crib beside him?” she says with a scoff, “Don’t be silly.”

Sirius blinks. “Where am I sleeping then?”

“With us, of course.” He jumps at the voice booming from behind him, clutching Harry tighter to his chest, whirling around to find James munching on a carrot.

“Where did you come from?” Sirius mutters under his breath before straightening up and saying, louder, “And what do you mean with you?”

“Well, like Lily said,” and here he sends a meaningful, entirely undecipherable, look towards his wife who…blushes? “Your room’s temporarily indisposed, the couch isn’t even an option—don’t give me that look, you barely fit on the thing—and the floor is gonna mess up your back worse than it is.”

“Oi!”

“So, our room it is.”

Right. Of course. Because that’s the obvious conclusions. How could he say no?

(Again, he can’t so he doesn’t)

It’s twenty minutes later, after Harry’s been put to bed, thoroughly kissed by his parents and godfather, after James is done with his nighttime turmeric milk and Lily’s put her hair up into braids and Sirius has taken out all his rings and chains and bracelets—that’s when he’s stumped by yet another problem.

How, exactly, are they going to sleep in one bed?

“We’re just going to expand it a little, Pads, don’t worry,” James says, supremely unconcerned.

He goggles at that, staring at the casual wand work. A part of him wonders why this is the extent of magic they’re using to solve this problem—James can conjure a bed Silenced, with his eyes closed—but promptly decides to not dwell on that for everyone’s sake.

i'm also very happy you like the Asian-themed clothes in my artwork! i really do enjoy studying historical and traditional clothes, and i hope to keep incorporating them into my designs over time. since you asked for makalaure, here is a little doodle of him and maedhros in hanbok :DDD

i wanted to practice studying some more traditional styles, so i did a few other sketches of Maglor in various styles of historical East Asian styles + idril, nerdanel, and aredhel to model some female clothes hehe....
