smurfpigment and jokey would be one hell of a team

Brainy: First of all, language! Second... *Sigh* Right you are! Those two Smurfs can really leave a blast of color behind.

Speaking of which... Hey Pigment, I think you want to see this 'letter' for you.

Pigment: Oh? A letter for me?

Pigment: Wow! I have a letter from the humans?! Already!? Is this one of your inventions, Brainy Smurf? Wow!! This is so smurfy! What a brilliant Smurf you are!

Brainy: (Puffing up with confidence) Why of course! I am the smartest Smurf after all! Who else could come up with such a Smurfy invention? But let's not dwell on that!

Pigment: Right! Uh let’s see… Hello! Pigment right here! :D (Reads the question) Hahah! Yea! We sure do make one #!@* of a team!

Brainy: Pigment! No swearing!

Pigment: Oops, I'm sorry! Hmmm, I'm reminded of this funny story that happened back then! I made these color bombs as a way of expression, celebration and self-defense. When I first introduced my color bombs, I remembered the Smurfs being thrilled! Until they realized that if Jokey Smurf found out about my color bombs, the Smurf Village would have colorful surprises for weeks! So they all begged me to not let Jokey know about my color bombs at all!

Pigment: So I told them "Alright! Alright! But know that Jokey will smurf them out eventually!"

The Smurfs were trying so hard to make sure Jokey never found out about my color bombs! I remembered whenever Jokey hears them talking about my color bombs they would say it's just a figure of speech! I remember I needed to hide my color bombs whenever Jokey is near. But I KNOW he was on to me!

Pigment: But this is where it ends from there. Jokey decided to pay me a visit so he can have materials for a prank, but I wasn't prepared, so I scrambled to hide my color bombs. But unfortunately, a big color bomb fell out of my hands and rolled towards Jokey... He picked it up and before we know it....

KABOOM!!!

Pigment: So, I was right! Jokey would find out about my color bombs eventually! I was caught red-handed! No, that literally wasn't a pun!  If there's anything that I vividly remembered, my hands were covered mostly in red pigment when the big color bomb exploded! And as a reward for discovering my little secret, I gave him color bombs of his choice! Haha! The village was covered in color for weeks! Sorry Smurfs!

Pigment: So yea! I'm now the go-to Smurf Jokey goes to if he wants color bombs for his pranks!

Brainy: Ahem, thank you for that colorful story, Pigment! Now if you don't mind, I think I'll take it from here. There's probably more questions that might need answering.

Pigment: Oh, of course! Well, I hope you like my story, humans! It's been really fun talking with you!

Hefty: Smurfpigment! Time for your check-up!

Pigment: Oops! There goes my signal! Good luck with the questions, Brainy Smurf! Catch you later!

*Pigment finally skips away for her check-up. Graphite walks out. She stops then looks at Brainy's direction with her typical deadpan expression on her face.* Graphite: Hey.

Branch: Hey Smurfette, I think your dress is too big for me.

Hefty turns and noticed branch is visibly a girl for the first time.

Hefty: Branch.

Branch: yeah?

Hefty: How long have you been a girl?

Branch: uh… this whole time?

Hefty pressed his hands together and closed his eyes. A pause later and he opens them.

Hefty: I’m sorry.

Branch: why?

Hefty: I’m sorry.

Branch: why are you sorry?

Hefty: I’m sorry.

Branch: what did you do?

Hefty: I’m sorry!

Branch: stop apologizing and explain!

Hefty, tearing up and running a way: I’m sorry!

Branch tearing up, confused and chasing: HEFTY???

I don’t know. I had the idea of branch meeting the Smurfs while rescuing his friends and them by extension but never staying long enough to talk.

Since their goals aligned they were civil. Branch never spoke unless it was about the mission. He was the closest with smurfette because I feel they are similar.

After the day was saved, it was only then they got each others names or well branch’s I guess.

Then something spills on branch and they asked to borrow one of smurfettes dresses (this confused them) and they just now found out branch was a girl.

Like girl branch looks like regular branch with a shirt but she doesn’t know chest muscle from working out are boobs.

Everyone has boobs, the more you know.

So like Hefty and the other boys are what.

Smurfette clocked in the second she looked at her and Papa Smurf also just knew.

Branch: Should I tell them?

Smurfette: No let them figure it out.

Branch: But they are never going to get it.

Papa Smurf: I have faith in them.

Smurfette: I don’t, but I think it funny so don’t say anything.

I mean Branch would have borrowed smurfette’s dress even if he was a guy. He’d still have his boobs BECAUSE CHEST MUSCLES ARE BOOBS ACCORDING TO POPPY.

Poppy: they are!

Branch: are not!

Poppy: are to!

Number 11 of my Junimation countdown: The Smurfs

One of the best things coming from my home country of Belgium. This comic book turned cartoon created by Peyo (Pierre Culliford) and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions started its 256 episodes run on the 12th of September 1981 and ended on the 2nd of December 1989 spread over 9 seasons visualizing 417 stories of these blue creatures.

These stories are all about a community of blue people with hats and pants called Smurfs who try to get along with eachother. These creatures live hidden somewhere deep in a forest coexisting with nature. But mainly the evil wizard Gargamel and his cat Azrael are in search of them to do experiment with them for spells or brewing potions.

I grew up with this series (voiced in Dutch) as a kid, so this show is most of my childhood. Though most episodes are funny with little danger, there are a few episodes that do bring some fear for these creatures or hit emotionally pretty hard. I was devastated when a flying boot met its end.
