Nah, first of all, put some respect on Dopey’s name, yeah?

Man rolled out of bed and said let me hit ‘em with the Snow White collab. Look at that beanie. Pure dwarf-core. The scarf? He’s giving pinstriped chic, but somehow also designer... security... blanket? 🤨 And that bag? It’s serving luxury grocery run, like he’s about to grab oat milk and a baguette, but also big enough to smuggle Oscat 🐱 in if needed.

Honestly, respect to him for making us question if this is high fashion or just high chaos. I vote for the latter, knowing damn well that his thought process while dressing up this morning was like, ‘I’m rich, I do what I want,’ and I’m here for it. Confused, but so here for it, IDC!! LOOKS SO COMFY!!

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, are there any versions of Snow White that acknowledge or talk about how the dwarves are the ones that've been raising Snow White?

Cause think about it, with how young she is (in the disney version at least), they would've been the closest thing she had to a family since her father died. The dwarves would've been her fathers, her uncles, her brothers. And I feel like there's a lot you could do with that. What if she went to the mines with them most days and learned how to use a pickaxe? What if they helped make clothes for her, planned birthdays for her? What if they carved Snow her very own bed that was just her size? What if they called her "Snowy" just so her name would fit in that little bit more with the rest of them?

How did you felt was presented the dynamic between Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in terms of emotionality in the remake?

Instead of being infatuated with Snow White like in the original, and having a husband-wife/mother-child relationship with her, the dwarfs see her more like an equal. They value her as dear friend and as a role model.

It's actually funny how Disney tip toes around the fact that Snow White is a guest at the Dwarfs' Cottage. The dwarfs allow her to sleep for one night, and by morning she leaves to find Jonathan, her love interest, and try to find if her father is still alive. When Jonathan is hit by an arrow from the Evil Queen's men, she brings him to the dwarfs to save him and there she spend a couple more days with them. When the Evil Queen arrives with the poisoned apple, Snow White was preparing herself to leave to meet Jonathan.

Technically speaking Snow White is never fully a resident of the Dwarfs' Cottage, but the script keeps finding reasons for she to return and spend more time with them.

Instead of just being a song for doing the chores, Whistle While You Work becomes about Snow White making the dwarfs work as team after they mess up their house during an argument between each other. It's about she bonding with the dwarfs and they bonding with each other.

And I have to bring Dopey.

If in the original the dwarf with the biggest focus in the story was Grumpy, here it's Dopey. Instead of having a child-like mentality, he's a clumsy young dwarf who's too unsure of himself and too afraid of speaking up. He's often left behind by the others.

He's the one who first finds Snow White and he's the one she is closest too.

The whole Whistle While You Work sequence started after the other dwarfs started laughing so much at Dopey that he ran away ashamed. Snow White finds him outside and she teaches him how to whistle in order for him to comunicate better with the others. The dwarfs are enchanted about how Dopey can now "make music" and this leads to the song.

The rest goes the same as the original film, but with a fundamental twist.

After Snow White awakens from the sleeping death she's resolved to take back her kingdom from the Queen, and Dopey encourages her, speaking his first words.

Believe me, that scene literally left me speechless 😂😂😂

By the end, Dopey now fully speaks and it's revealed that he is the narrator of the story.
