its fucking me up so much tho because like. for dapper specifically the island reset is SUCH a good thing. it gets him AWAY from the vultures and his lab. it’s given him so much to do- he doesnt need to worry about reaching above and beyond to be helpful to Painful extents because he’s already above and beyond with his knowledge and willingness the learn. He can play with birds and go exploring with his dad and it’s fresh and new and fun!!!

but now his dad forgot him. he lost his dad for a whole night and when bad came back he didnt fuckigng recognize him. dapper wasnt remembered by the other islanders on the train because bad is ALWAYS there to remember him but now his dad had trouble recognizing him when he was right in front of him. “IT’S ME DAD” god. dapper has so many distractions right now from her self-harming helpfulness, but there’s nothing that can distract her from this

i really like nami and jinbe's relationship but i completely forgot that she makes him like actually sob tears of guilt/gratefulness on their first meeting just from how like. magnanimous she was about the whole arlong thing. like she was living proof of all his fears for the east blue and still forgave him and her hearing arlong's past/the full history of fishman persecution was a big step in contextualizing her own trauma. i literally just thought she liked him cause she was happy she no longer had to sail the entire ship by herself <3

he is old. he is retired. he'll never be a motogp rider. the closest he'll get to his past glory is this: mentoring young riders to the champagne and accolades he still wants

valentino was dragged kicking from the valentino rossi to valetino rossi, walking memorabilia

and they should fuck about it somewhere on the ranch around the mud-crusty bikes

but for once pecco isn't overthinking things to the point of insanity (crucially delirious from the unlikely win and days of partying) and misses the weird vibes in the air

i don't know much about the clasic mercs but i think Medic would just not tell them he made Archie. one day Archie just shows up and they have to accept him as part of the team (heavy's not very happy that Medic spent their money on making a human-bird hybrid but he gets over it eventually)
