I think my favorite part about Tuc 2 is the fact you can completely peice the reasons Tony and Heather were together if you just take a bit to dwell on it. I'm not a tony apologist because like. He's the worst. But man do I love Heather and I think if tony had survived getting magical space blendered and Heather came back. It would've been. Wild.
May haps might make an au post about it
Anyways Tony ur wife is hot

okay 4 month long fancast/elaborate sleep deprivation project is complete. here's who should star in the unsleeping city live action tv show
pete - elliot page (officially endorsed by ally)
kingston - jeffrey wright, isaiah mustafa; laurence fishburne or idris elba if they wanted to
sofia - samantha win (wow she looks So Very Italian for sure definitely... dw about it i want her wushu skills more than anything)
ricky - mackenyu
misty - CATHERINE O'HARA (hunter schafer as rowan)
kugrash - hank azaria (voice only), fiona dourif (voice and physical)
iga - if catherine's not available for s1 can she come on for s2 as iga. otherwise patricia arquette
cody - devon bostick is 31 which means he still fits the 27 yr old mall goth window and i cannot unsee the rodrick eyeliner and also can't think of anyone better. hi devon you're my last hope
esther sinclair - jade eshete (the casting thought that started this monster post)
gabriela sinclair/furies - i mean angela bassett if you're free--
alejandro ortiz - edward james olmos
ana and amelia ortiz - isabella gomez? classic single actor playing twins moment but i think her energy is good #odaat
robert moses - ed harris. or another guy who can do crazy scary. i'm finishing this list at 5 am can u tell
dale lee - daniel henney
jackson wei - key quy quan i don't care give him work i am kissing him respectfully
emiko matsui - karen fukuhara
53V3N - brennan's cameo
priya danger - i mean. come on. jameela jamil
dr. lugash - anthony carrigan. i had to fit him in here somewhere LET'S GOOOOOO NOHO HANK... 2!
mario bicicleta - james ransone *sniper shoots a warning shot next to my head*
lowell masters - nick offerman i guess
wally kugrich - alan tudyk
david kugrich - michael shannon
cindy wong - margaret cho
tony simos - dave bautista (is apparently part greek? That's fun. what's important is he's built like a truck)
heather simos - ME!! ✌🥰✌
jj jacobs - lane factor
not casting Nod bc i literally don't pay attention to child actors. saw someone mention bradley whitford as sondheim which i thought was genius (and joe pesci as don confetti which was great but unrealistic) (<- is treating this like they're an actual casting director) but beyond that are there any fun roles i missed?? i tried to cover both szns as well as i could
#dimension 20#the unsleeping city#d20 tuc#d20 fancast#personal#feel free to share ur thoughts I'd love to be roasted

Every time I'm getting in a groove with Unsleeping City Chapter 2, somebody goes and says something... okay, I don't want to say ageist, exactly, but let me put it this way: I feel an overwhelming certainty from the way they role-play here that none of the Intrepid Heroes have any actual friends over 40. I side-eye Kingston's characterization once in a while, but Iga is the real problem, hence why it's Chapter 2 I'm struggling with. The official art of her would be acceptable for a 65-year-old character, not a 45-year-old--which is bad enough, but then the way Siobhan (god bless her, I love her, I'm not out to shit on anyone) plays her as an "old woman" makes it impossible to brush aside. It would be one thing if Iga were significantly older than everyone else, so she was the "old woman" in comparison with the rest of the whippersnappers or whatever, but she's just supposed to unironically be this elderly 45-year-old. Even when it's not overt like that, it's things that demonstrate how little grasp people have over what being 45 means chronologically. During the first bit with Heather Simos in the 80s, when Iga makes herself look like how she did back then, are we in the audience supposed to be imagining a literal child? Because Iga would have been 12 or 13 when the 80s ended. This isn't about Siobhan, this is about everyone, because no one bothered (or more to the point, bothers in any other case) to point out the discrepancy--so either they couldn't be arsed, or they legitimately didn't catch the problem; and it's not about everyone being shitty, again, I love these people and I'm not out to shit on anyone, it's just that they stumble into stuff like this because they don't think about these things. It's an ignorant blindspot.
To temper this complaint, I will say this: I absolutely appreciate the fact that this is the only time so far that I've had this problem with a Dropout show, because logically the age ignorance thing should be a much more common problem from a company consisting entirely of millennials. Work spaces where everyone's the same age or even generation lend themselves to exclusionary thoughts, and I value Team Dropout and the D20 gang for not being like that 99% of the time.
#pardon my fervor but for those who don't know I have a partner 18 years older than me who is not a fucken decrepit old lady tyvm#so this isn't just a philosophical issue for me#Dimension 20#if you have a refutation to this opinion feel free to keep it to yourself#the only thing I want to hear from y'all is if the D20 ever acknowledge this in a later episode and say my bad or something#The Unsleeping City#Iga Lisowski

The two pages I made for @noitsnacktime‘s The Traveler’s Guide To Nod travel pamphlet zine! The entire thing is a lot of fun and it’s such a cool idea, you can find it amongst the other zines available in the D20 Zine Jame charity bundle! You can also get it here as a solo work. The full text of the FAQ is available on AO3 if you want to read it!
[ID: The first image is a pamphlet-sized travel ad for Null. The background is an abstract, glitchy building in front of lights from cars. The colours of the piece are black, blue, green, red and orange. The main text reads "follow your dreams to NULL*" and the asterisk leads to text at the bottom reading "offer subject to certain conditions. Travel into the Deeper Dreaming requires heavy psychic and magical involvement and should not be attempted without the help of a professional. It is strongly recommended to purchase travel insurance before traveling into the Deeper Dreaming. DeepTravel Inc. declines any liability for theft, injury, death, or otherwise loss of physicality that may occur in the Deeper Dreaming. More information available in our FAQ." The background behind "NULL" is very glitchy. The second image is an FAQ page regarding travel to Null. The page is a very light version of the previous one, but any mention of Null or Heather Simos is partly hidden by glitches or corrupted text in dark colours. End ID.]

Listen. Do I understand that Heather and the other Vox Phantasmi are sent back to their own time after Null is defeated? Yes. Do I still want to see Pete being a big brother to the other Voxes and helping teach Heather about being a Vox? Absolutely I do!

The cast’s realization over the third Vox Phantasma is so cool and good I rewatched it like three times as they realize there was a third, the surprise over who she was married to, and then the immediate sadness over how long she lasted
#UGH SO COOL#THIS IS AWESOME#I wanna know more about her she seems like so much fun#heather simos#dimension 20#the unsleeping city#non cr
