posting this here as well as the discord bc i crave validation and i spent so long writing this out hshsjsjgs

ok so hc time (this is heavily eira-centric with strong tinges of both arthyr/eira and winter solstice)

eira straight up Has Not Been Touched By A Non Family Member until he met arthyr. who insisted on hugging him. and as they got closer he got faaaar more reliant on physical touch to the point where he got comfortable initiating cuddles with him. and then something happened so they Could Not Meet anymore so eira basically swore off physical touch bc "nobody else is gonna be as good as arthyr was so why bother :(". until he met the hcrew. with the cuddliest mfs on the Got Dam Planet (imi thats heartless, flint, and alchemy) and Once Again had to Slowly Warm Up To Physical Touch

it took a while for him to like. not flinch when someone touched him.

first person he willingly hugged back was heartless bc the littol mans got so much love in him and he saw eira bein sad and went Oh No I Must Hugg :(( and eira Really Needed The Comfort.,

flint was the first person he actively initiated a hug with. it was after a particularly bad run in with the jury, flint got banged up pretty bad, and eira (who did Not realize he had a Huge Crush On Him) was So Worried that as soon as river finished taking care of him eira gave him the Biggest Hug Ever and almost started crying bc "Oh My God I Was So Worried About You You Almost Died"

first person in hcrew he gave a forehead kiss was river, she had just finished healing him (bc that stubborn mf hid a stab wound) after a fight and she just kinda. Broke. she was Not having a good time and was Very Worried About Him. he apologized for being so stubborn and said he'd try to ask for help more often (liar) and gave her a hug and a kiss on th forehead

contrary to what you'd likely believe, eira was the first to make a move with flint! flint is a little bit of an oblivious idiot, but also managed to make his crush on eira so noticable that Literally Everyone In Hcrew Knew. Literally Everyone. Including Eira (mostly bc alchemy told him tho). so. one day he managed to catch flint alone. and decided to throw all caution to the wind and Kiss Him On The Mouth. he majorly caught him by surprise but flint very much reacted like "!! :0" and kisses him again. they did have to have a conversation about whether that was a Platonic Kiss tho bc if i may reiterate, Flint Is A Dumbass, but also he has gotten platonic kisses from a few members of hcrew (see heartless, alchemy, doppel, and glass [not all on the mouth tho]) but that. is how eira got his second boyfriend ever

super touchy about his scar

he never really spoke much before he warned up to the gang

before he met them the only person he would really have a conversation with was the king

he'd speak to people but it'd just be shirt sentences

he wouldn't actually talk to them

in his early 20's (probably around 25?)

always wanted to grow his hair but the dress code for the guard required for it to be short

uses his magic so little the people who joined the gang after him didn't know he had magic until he used it to get them out of a rough situation

him and doppel don't get along well

doppel finds him too cold and eira finds him too brash and immature (despite the fact doppel is like,, 16/17)

on the other hand, him and glass get along well

they both enjoy reading a lot and bond over that

when eira first joins the gang they stop at a big library for a quest and eira gets really excited

he then realises he's with other people and calms down a little, but he can't properly contain the excitement

him and river don't talk much or bond properly, but they've managed to become good friends anyway

one time they were hanging out and river just fell asleep on him

he refused to move because he was scared he's wake her

dock freaks him out a lot

he loves animal, and had a pet bunny as a kid

now he's got a dog

I'm not that good with dog breeds but I think it's something between a sheltie and a husky, and it's white?

I have a Very Specific image of this dog in mind I just don't know the breed hksjxjsn

anyway it's name is Snowball
