• Sarah had been begging Joel to redecorate her bedroom since the two of you got engaged and though you were excited to help them, Joel always seemed to come up with an excuse not to do it

• one month he said he didn't have enough money to buy the paint and the other materials to do it and he absolutely refused your offer of helping him pay for it

• the next month he told her you two were too busy with the upcoming wedding and the three of you wouldn't have enough time to finish it

• and the other month he said you wouldn't be able to do it because of your honeymoon, which was kind of true, but it was during the wedding you found out the real reason why he was postponing doing the redecoration

• at Sarah's refusal to wear the pink dress full of flowers her grandma - your mother-in-law had bought her because it was too childish and settling for another dress that wasn't so pink she picked with your help, you could see in Joel's eyes the melancholy of his little girl growing up

• she used to love pink, flowery dress, just as she used to love the pink walls of her room her dad painted when she was just a baby and now the walls were about to go, just like the bunch of dolls she got over the years

• you felt sad for Joel, you knew how strong his bond with his daughter was and how close they were, but you also felt sorry for Sarah, she was growing up and she should be able to enjoy the new phases of her life

• so as soon as you returned from your honeymoon, you sat down with Sarah and took notes of everything she wanted to get it done with her bedroom and then you drove her to the store, letting her pick everything she wanted

• you had saved some money and you thought it would be a nice way of spending it, she would be happy and Joel would have to accept it one way or the other

• once you got home with the new paint, curtains, bedspread and carton boxes to store everything she didn't want anymore, he widened his eyes at the surprise of seeing you two with the new stuff

• he was chewing on a sandwich so you sat next to him and asked Sarah to begin gathering the things she would like to donate, which she quickly went to do it and you took Joel's hand

"You know she'll forever be your little girl, right? No matter if her walls aren't pink anymore or if the barbies are gone, she'll always be your daughter and love you, just as you love her"

• a blush spread through his face as you said those things, he swallowed his sandwich wanting to say something but you just shook your head

"besides, think of all the lucky little girls that are going to be able to play with Sarah's old dolls, she's doing something really nice for them and she learned that from you... You know, how to be kind. Also, she told me she doesn't want pink on the walls because it hurts her eyes when she's reading"

• that was partially a lie, Sarah was going to help other kids by donating her old toys but she hadn't said anything about the wall colors, but judging by the way his eyes softened when you justified why she was leaving behind a part of her childhood, you knew you'd said the right thing

• so once Joel was done eating, the three of you changed into older clothes and after a painful period of dragging around furniture, you began painting the walls

• you didn't actually know how to do it, but as soon as Joel showed you how it was done, you got the hang of it, plus it ended up being a lot more fun than you had expected

• turns out Joel got really excited about the fact he was spending time with his daughter and that made him realize that was much more important than the color of her walls

• and the happiness in her face was just beautiful, she was excited and telling you about her plans of decorating, asking for your opinion and advices

• you were more than happy to help her and give your thoughts, seeing she really valued and appreciated them

• it took the three of you most of the day to get her bedroom done, but once you finally got the decoration part - the one she was more excited about - Joel decided to help

"so are you putting your books or your funkos on this shelf?"

"I don't know dad, let me ask what mom thin- I mean, Y/N"

• Sarah felt embarrassed at her mistake and looked at you with widened eyes, not sure what to say, if she should apologize to you or what, she hoped you wouldn't think it was weird

• you turned to her with a gentle smile and took a step closer, brushing your fingers through her soft cheeks and wrapped your arms around her smaller frame

"you can call me mom if you want, I would be very happy and lucky to have you as my daughter"

• you sniffed softly, your eyes watery at the emotion of hearing such beautiful words from her

• Joel also felt very emotional and wrapped the two of you into his warm tight embrace, he had tears in his eyes he wanted to hide, he really loved hearing his daughter call you mom, because you'd been acting like one ever since you walked into their lives and he knew you were just perfect at it

"Alright mom..."

• Sarah shyly dried her own tears and chuckled a little shy, she looked at you and gave you another tight hug

Zach is just about the most perfect boyfriend you could ever have.

His love language is quality time. No matter what, he will always find time in his schedule to spend with you.

He comes over to your place often, mostly surprising you because you weren't expecting him, but slowly over the course of time you get used to his random pop ins.

He loves to sit down with you and just, talk. About anything. He will listen to your rants, about what you ate today, a shitty day at your university, basically anything.

And he'll be listening very carefully, not missing any detail, and if you're ranting about something which is troubling you, he'll try to help you and almost 9 out of 10 times his advice is the best one you can get.

He'll take you to dates often, and he's definitely the kind of person who'll just take you on a long drive so you both can just listen and sing to your favorite album together.

Without a thought, I believe he has a second love language too, and that is acts of service.

You're hungry? He'll whip the best meal for you in under 15 minutes.

Your car has a flat tire? He'll fix that for you right up.

You accidentally cut yourself while making some food? He'll bandage you just the next second.

His family adores you, so you are often invited at family dinners at their place, and you always love to go.

Avery, his little sister, gets attached to you quickly and looks at you like her best friend.

You and Zach are the best team basically, anywhere.

If it's family game night at his place, you know you both will win.

If it's a game night with your friends, you both are going to win, it's decided.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, Zach loves to kiss your hands; your palms, your knuckles, the back of your hand, he'll press kisses to your skin often.

He's also the most amazing book boyfriend ever. His gifts to you are mostly books, and they are definitely the books from your 'to be read'.

Since he's a part of his university soccer team, you absolutely love to go to his matches.

He will be pretty anxious before them, but a quick pep talk from you will cheer him right up, and he'll play with all his might.

You are always wearing a jersey with his name and number on it, he gives one to you each time his team wins a match (you have so many now it's hard to keep count).

Just as his team wins a match, you cheer out so loud for him, and he's quick to run up to you and hug you so tightly.

"I'm so proud of you," you will whisper to him, and he'll just melt on the spot.

You both don't argue very often, usually settling to talk out the misunderstanding and find a solution that suits you both.

But if the quarrel doesn't seem to find it's end and just goes on, Zach knows he hates being in this position, especially when it leads to him having to sleep in a different room than yours.

But your sheets are cold and empty, and you know you need him.

You would make your way to the room he's in, and he's lying in the bed, all coiled up because he also finds your absence to be cold.

You will snuggle in next to him and press a kiss on his arm, mumbling a 'sorry' as you realise how ridiculous your argument was.

His response would be to wrap his arm around your waist and pull you in impossibly closer.

But there's one thing he can't help you with, and that is studying.

He is the worst study buddy to have. He can't sit silently, he can't focus on his work for more than 15 minutes, so what is the next obvious thing to do?

Annoy you, of course.

He's tapping your arm to tell you the worst dad jokes ever, or to just distract you.

"But, I love you so much baby!"

"Shut up Zach."

You always accompany his family to their yearly winter ski trip. You learnt how to ski with them and now you're a pro.

You always have huge snowball fights with Zach, which always end in him picking you up and dropping you both on the ground as you try to stop laughing.

You would also make a huge snowman with him, and naming him 'Burt' because he said so and you can't convince him.

To sum it up, I think of Zach Maclaren as Phil Dunphy.

(OK like this is my first time ever posting on tumbler I'd usual just reblog but I had hearcanons of Logan Howlett x Middle age reader and I often see people complain about not seeing it enough ao here's my headcanons!)

Logan howlett x G/N reader

GN Y/N is mid 30s to late 40s

Logan meets Y/N at some random grocery store whiek he gets stuff for him and wade(They are roommates here lol). There was only one box of the good ceral left and Y/N refused to give it to good old logan which got him slightly annoyed but interested in thus feisty middle age person.

Logan and Y/N are that saying "Right place wrong time" because anytime they even slightly saw each other ot was on sight at trying to pin blame at each other for "stalking" or "being annoying"

Wade sometimes just so happens to witness the enviable mess hap of a greeting. So he starts making plans of getting them together cause even he's over their stupid bickering when the two don't even know one another.

Y/N ends up set up on a blind ul by her friend

Wade ao happens to also set up logan for a blind date.

The two end up on said blind date and have no choice, but to speak to each other normally. And actually. They both seemed pleasant around each other.

By night time Logan and Y/N go there separate ways feeling different about each other

Both now have each phone number and saved under certain nicknames

Ok I ended up just doing some general relationship hc's then adding some chubby reader specific ones at the end!

Pays for everthing for you, he refuses to let you spend a penny.

Get's a bit unsure when you give you gifts, he has a habit of under reacting or shrugging them off even though they actually mean a lot to him. Takes him a while to show how happy they make him.

Tells Koko and Inui to keep an eye on you for your own protection 

In the good timeline he desperately wants you to get along well with his siblings, arranges a whole dinner where the three of you can meet.

Takes you on a lot of aquarium dates

If the two of you go to a fancy restaurant together, he normally jokes that his place is better (you cant help but agree)

Is constantly giving you his jacket, he wants you to stay warm and likes how you look in it.

Pats your head a lot, likes ruffling your hair

He was actually pretty hesitant about kissing and physical forms of affection at first. But as the relationship develops he doesn't hesitate at all and will happily kiss you whenever he feels like it (koko and inui have complained before)

One time he accidentally let slip a comment about how "Mitsuya will have to make your wedding dress". He said this long before he proposed.

Takes up a lot of the bed when he sleeps and has a habit of pulling you towards him. (If you try to wake him up in the morning, you will just be dragged back into bed)

He finds himself thinking about you a lot during the day, his mind will just drift to you while he's working. 

Likes when you need him to do things

He's also always amused by the size difference between the two of you, specially with how he towers over you.

He's very big on body worship, kisses every part of you telling you how beautiful all of you is.

Glares at anyone and will hit them if they ever dare to make any mean comments towards his girl.

Is extremely touchy and cuddly with you in private, especially if you're feeling down.

Sometimes he doesn't understand why you're feeling down because he thinks you're perfect.

He's pretty observant though so he can tell when you are feeling not great, he compliments you more then usual when he notices you feeling like that. 

He still loves picking you up and giving you his jacket, thinks it looks amazing on you.

'Nother idiotic social media post I wanna give my thoughts on. This time, it was on TikTok. So this person was criticizing some nswf audio that someone else made of Alastor from Hazbin Hotel, specifically that Alastor is canonically asexual (which the creator of the audio is aware of) and so he shouldn't be used in those kinds of audios. The caption on the crticizer's video literally says:

"Pro tip! When a character is canonically asexual, don't use them as NSFW audios! Hope this helps!"

Now my thoughts. . .

1. The person understands he's asexual and even acknowledged knowing he is, and just wanted to make an nsfw audio for fun. He's fictional, so let it go.

2. If it's perfectly okay for canonically straight characters to be in gay nswf audios or gay characters to be in straight audios (thought that's less frequent), then an asexual character being in gay/straight audios is fine too.

3. The person isn't even saying that they headcanon him as straight/gay. They just did a simple audio for people to enjoy. And even if they did headcanon him as straight or gay, people headcanon straight characters as gay all the time. Why is headcanoning a character as their non-canon sexuality suddenly a problem now? If you wanna play it that way, go to the bsd, mha, and every other anime fandom and start knocking skk shippers, bkdk shippers, and every other fanon ship/headcanon. Just keepin the same energy.

If you've seen the post, you may also have notice that the creator limited comments. . . Hhhhaaaaaahhhhh!!! Why am I not surprised? 😆

Edit: So I did some considering, and. . .

Lots of people responding are assuming I'm okay-ing the invalidation of ace people by means of straight headcanoning. . . I don't think I said the person headcanoned Alastor as straight. I haven't listened to the audio, so idk if he was straight or gay in the audio.

Also, you're fighting with feelings. "An ace fictional character being hearcanoned as gay or straight makes me feel invalidated. Um. . . who's to say a straight person who sees straight characters headcanoned as gay or a gay person seeing gay characters headcanoned as straight wouldn't feel the same way.

Dgmw, as a gay, I don't pretend to know how ace people feel, and I understand there isn't a lot of ace representation in media. And don't take this as me advocating for ace people being invalidated or discriminated against, b/c I respect nice ace, gay, bi, etc people as much as the next nice person. But you can't fight with feelings because anyone can feel anyway, and just because you felt attacked or hurt by that post, that doesn't mean that person was intentionally trying to be offensive. Just because there, unfortunately, isn't a lot of ace representation, doesn't mean that only you can feel hurt by character headcanons. Now, me personally, I'm not exactly hurt by gay characters being headcanoned as straight, though that doesn't mean I won't comment on what a dumb headcanon it is, but that's me.

Also, I apologize if people feel offended by the post, but the truth is people get horny and make lots of nsfw fanarts, fanfics, and audios. It's the internet. People say, do, and post heinous shit every day. Every search engine and not-for-children website should come with a "possible offense" warning.
