Simbako x Plus-Size/Chubby fem reader headcanons!

-When I tell you that there's no applicable word right off of the top of my head that can properly describe how much Simbako craves to have a big, full-bodied, plus-sized woman

-The feast he'd be satiating himself with finally just by witnessing you, ever the hungry beast he is, his stare that would always be locked onto you, your frame, the plushy curves of your hips and sides being hugged by the fabric of your bottoms, hell just seeing cloth being stretched over your hanging belly is enough to make his breath stutter over itself in its rhythmic air flow.

-He is also, a, very, very, very, *VERY*, handsy man.

-Expect a regularity of hands on your hips, your sides - whenever the both of you are sitting together, one of those blackened, taloned hands of his cupped over the upper half of your thighs, his thumb casually stroking over any exposed flesh before eventually squeezing down just that bit enough for it to be noticeable, the sharpened tips of his claws ever so slightly dipping into your supple, soft skin - definitely not rough enough to pierce through the layers of skin, no, but, forgive him if you end up with a slight smattering of speckled little bruises dotting where his digits pressed down - though, he can't say he's too disappointed with his work when he spots them himself

-He tells you that he loves you, like, a lot, often - almost like he has this, underlying concern that there's gonna be a time where you don't believe him, given who he is

-He's not, an incredibly social person - BIG shocker, I know- but, this does lead through the gateway of regular at home dates, and, surprisingly, he's willing to like, snuggle on a couch more than you admittedly ever would have believe him to be - but just feeling you recline against him, your body sinking against his, that softness, warmth, the cuddly plushness of your frame being cradled by his more defined one. Hugging you, holding you, touching you is, ever the drug and does he find himself as one loyal, devoted addict

-And LORD, can he be possessive, and if you think the guy that has a symbiotic relationship with a biological mass that turned him into an in human Venom, ISN'T aggressive with it, oh you are, sorely mistaken.

-While he doesn't really make use of the word "mine" in public (couldn't be any different behind closed doors), that absolutely does not halt him getting right into the face of someone who tried *anything* with you, eyes wide with blisteringly hot rage radiating from them, threatening the person with promises to such grievous, bodily harm, and almost as a show of him assuring that he's liable to go through with it, writhing tendrils of his bioweaponry branching out of the inky, onyx darkness of the black flesh of his forearms - despite you reassuring him that he's so much more than just it, Simbako does make generous use of his title of "living weapon" abundantly

-Simbako also isn't the, biggest fan of himself - to put it as lightly as I can, and he does have his, own, bouts of that self loath hindering his opinion of himself, or the nightmares he's had to ceaselessly bolster himself against ever since he received his bioweaponry - and he does his best to not trouble you with them, with any of it, he already has no idea why you decided to be generous towards him and settle for one of the worst people ever, his words, however, he really can't explain just how much he appreciates you just being there, despite the assurances, the silence over how he's actually feeling or it being shielded behind a thinly veiled "I'm fine, princess," when you clearly know he's not

-He's had, at this point a lot of people give up on him, himself included a long time ago now, so whether pity, stubbornness, a trick, or sincere love shared back to him, he has no idea why you try so hard for his sake, he just hopes you know that he'd do the same for you tenfold

My Descendants oc's - Vk's

My list of Descendants vk oc's and the ages they'll be at the start of my descendants rewrite (if I ever get around to writing it) and their other parent if I have an idea of who it is. I'm headcanoning that D1 starts in early September 2014 & the country of Auradon is in a very tropical zone - which is why it seems like it's always summer or spring there. Also, the country is called the United Kingdoms of Auradon, because it makes more sense to me. & was formed June-August 1994. August is when they revived & shipped the villains off and when the anniversary of the Isle happens. (nothing's celebrated that day, it's just noted.)

Maleficent Fae: Mal, 15, other parent is Hades.

She's pretty much the same as in the movies. I'll be honest, I don't fully like the idea of Hades being her father, but I also got no other ideas.

Hades: Mal, 15, other parent is Maleficent. Hadie, 9, Persephone.

For Hades, I'm headcanoning that he isn't actually trapped on the isle because the other gods need him running the underworld since they don't want to do it. So, to appease Belle & Adam, they told Hades to go hang out on the isle, and he has a backdoor entrance in the cave to go back to the underworld to run it occasionally. He sees staying on the isle as a sort of vacation. Also, Olympus in my view is only allied with Auradon, not part of it.

Cruella: Carlos DeVil, 14, other parent is Clayton.

I think he maybe doesn't know his other parent for certain, but Cruella always said that it was one of the adult hunters of the isle (Ratcliffe, Gaston, and Clayton) and Ratcliffe's and Gaston's kids all look somewhat like their respective father, and he doesn't look like either, whereas Claytons kids don't look too much like him. Also - everyone on the isle knows Gaston wouldn't let one of his sons be raised by someone else.

Carlos's cousins - Diego, 17. Ivy, 20. Hunter, 19. I've never watched the movie that these three appear in, so I don't know how old they are supposed to be, but I like the idea of them, and I know Diego at least is mentioned in the books.

Evil Queen: Evelina "Evie" Grimhilde, 15.

Like in the movies, her mom put a heavy emphasis on her looking pretty and like a princess. Her father is one of the card soldiers, but a different one than one of the 4 that fathered the Queen of Hearts' kids.

Anastasia Tremaine: Anthony, 18. Eleanor, 16. Alfred, 15. Ambrosine, 10.

Father of all four is Edgar Balthazar. Anthony's father can't be the Baker because in my headcanon, the oldest isle kids were born 1 year after the barrier was put up.

Drizella Tremaine: Delphine, 16. Dominique, 14. Dezirae "Dizzy", 11. Daxton, 9. Devereaux, 6. Dixie, 2 1/2.

Their fathers are 1 of 2 of the male colonizers that came over with Ratcliffe. Lady Tremaine counts both her daughters kids together, and has them raised the way she wants.

She accepts the boys, but didn't want them (because she thinks they're harder to control) so she pays more attention to the girls and is (slightly) nicer to them.

Queen of Hearts: Red, Vermillion, and Ruby are 16. Carmine, Cherry, and Amaranth are 15. Burgundy, Fuchsia, and Scarlet are 14. Crimson, Maroon, and Chili pepper are 13.

She decided to name all her kids after different shades of red, and stopped having kids because she ran out of name ideas (also why she named one of her youngest kids chili pepper). Fathers are each a different card soldier.

Madam mim's grandkids: Maeve, Mabel, Millie, Maddy, Maverick, Meredith, Maddox, Minna, and Hans Jr.

Hans Jr's dad is Hans and was raised by him because mim wanted him less than the other boys. Like Lady Tremaine, she much prefers the girls over the boys. The father of the rest is unknown as well as ages, except Maddy & Hans Jr, they're both 16.

Ursula & Facilier: Uma, 15. Freda "Freddie", 14. Celia, 11.

Ursula and Facilier never lived together because they both had different business interests.

The kids all know about each other, Uma stayed with Ursula because she had clearly inherited her mother's powers while Freddie & Celia had both clearly inherited their father's, so they were sent to live with him. I'll explain in another post, but they are allowed in each other's territories because they are siblings.

John Ratcliffe - Rory, 17. Richard "Rick", 15. Jackson, 13. Jeremiah, 15.

I headcanon that 7 colonizers were sent to the isle with Ratcliffe - 4 men and 3 women. The women's names are Mary, Abigail, and Rebecca. Mary is Rick and Jackson's mom, Abigail is Rory and Jeremiah's.

Will Clayton - Clarence "Clay", 14. Carlos DeVil, 14. Caden, 12. Cadell, 8. Clay, Caden, and Cadell have the same mom.

Gaston Legume- Gaston "Junior" the second & Gaston "Bronze" the third, 18 year old twins. Gil, 15. Isabelle, 14. Azure, 12. Cordelia, 9.

Junior & Third's mom is Laurette, Gil's & Isabelle's mom is Claudette. Azure's mom is Redd the red-headed pirate and Cordelia's mom is Angelica Teach.

Gaston claimed Isabelle, but not his other two because Claudette allowed her daughter to be raised how he wanted - doing all the house chores. She has her mom & aunt's help with these chores though, and Gil does sew & repair clothes for the family - repairing his sister's clothes after she's worn them out is common for him.

Azure & Cordelia both live on the ships with their mom's. Neither of their moms let Gaston take them to raise them how he wanted, so obviously he has decided to disown them. Like I said with Carlos, if they had been boys, he might have fought harder to keep them.

I headcanon that Gaston wouldn't refuse to acknowledge his daughters because he thinks only women can do any of the housework - cleaning, cooking, sewing, etc. So he would acknowledge them so that they could do those things in his house (cabin), tavern, and in Duels without Rules.

Honestly, any daughters of his might be better off not being acknowledged by him - I just personally don't see him doing it.

Yzma: Zevon, 15 & Yzla, 12. Both potion makers.

Mother Gothel: Ginevra "Ginny", 18, Father is John Silver from the Caribbean. Hayley, 10, her father is Hans.

She was mostly raised by him because Gothel decided that an 8 year gap between kids was too soon to be raising another one.

However, she does occasionally go visit Hayley to give her lessons on manipulation.

Hayley is one of the major pranksters/jokesters of the isle. She can get a little mean with pranks, but that's mostly because her father encourages it - she'll chill with them with some time in Auradon.

Hans Westergaard: Hans Elliott Jr, 15. Hayley, 10.

Hans Jr's nickname around the isle is Helliot - a play on his first and middle name - because he looks and acts exactly like his father. He has also been called variations of Hellspawn.

He is one of the few kids that should never get off the isle, and is the only kid to have been banned from both Jafar's junk shop as well as Gaston's Tavern & shop.

(It was because he said that if the villains got out & took over, he was going to take one of their thrones and kill whoever's it was)

He also said something similar to Evie once, which got him banned from a lot more territories and excluded from hanging out with a majority of the isle kids

Jafar: Jay, 15 and Jasmine, 12. Layla, almost 2.

I like to headcanon that Jay is actually Aladdin & Jasmine's kid, and I decided to give him a sister who was stolen at the same time. Their real names are Ali & Esme - ages are the same.

Layla is actually his kid. Her mom is one of the female colonizers (Rebecca) & gave birth to her in Jafar's house because she didn't want her. She was kicked out within an hour or so of giving birth, then died from bleeding out because a 10 year old girl was made to help the baby come out. Jasi takes care of her mostly, but the other isle kids help out, especially Jay. And Harriet & Uma since they are kind of the moms of the isle kids.

Jasmine goes by Jasi or Jasima around the Isle because the name Jasmine is too princessy/prissy for her. Jafar and Jay are the only ones who are allowed to call her Jasmine - everyone else gets punished for that.

Jasi does most of the chores at home, but Jafar will occasionally cook when he's not running his shop and Jay helps with cleaning and laundry sometimes.

She was raised to act and look like Princess Jasmine - except quieter (but sometimes he wanted her to talk exactly like Jasmine). Spoiler - making her be quiet did not work because this is the isle where a ton of the women and girls are loud, strong, and independent and/or in charge in some way. Also - Jay.

She was also named heir of the isle at some point as well. And has gotten many etiquette lessons.

Jay, like in canon, was raised to be a street rat. He is also a great older brother.

Jafar mostly just ignored the two unless he was teaching them something. He never physically abused them, but he did threaten to. They are mostly ignored because he didn't want them, but kept them around once they were there because they were convenient workers for his shop & apartment.

Soon after the kidnapping is found out, Genie & Dalia will adopt Layla because they will be able to help her with any magic she got.

The adults of the isle either know or suspect that Jay & Jasi are not Jafar's. They either don't care or kept thinking that Auradon would search the isle eventually. (They never did or thought about it even) (Auradon only recently found out there were kids on the isle)

Nasira: Jade, 15. Don't know her dad. Gets along well with all the Agrabah kids on the isle. All the Agrabah kids on the isle get along, and they’ll all get along with Jordan and Aziz once they go to Auradon as well.

Captain James Hook: Harriet, 18. Harry, 15. CJ, 13.

Captain Hook is frequently called James Hook by the Vk's because Harriet is also a Captain hook, and they prefer her being a captain.

Their mom is one of the pirates on one of the adult pirate's crews.

Mr. Smee: Samuel "Sammy", 18. Simon "Squeaky", 11. Sergio "Squirmy", 11.

Former astronomer of Agrabah (Adnan): Reza, 14

One of Jafar's soldiers (name I decided is Sahila): Zaryan, 14 (I changed Zaryan's parentage to a different dad & had him live with his mom.)

Jafar picked & trained his allies and soldiers well, which is why only 2 of them are on the isle with him.

Lefou: Louis "Lefou deux", 14. His mom is someone who was hanging out around the tavern one day.

Claude Frollo: Claudine, 16. Her mom is Abigail, one of the colonizers

Claudine snapped one time and killed someone. (It was her father)

Claudine, Isabelle, and Jasi are also best friends close allies. They bond over teaching each other their native languages & complaining about their fathers.

Claudine and Isabelle both end up living on Harriet & Uma's pirate ships at some point and both get sent between them frequently.

Also, I'm using @panthera-tigris-venenata's headcanon about how Claude Frollo died in my rewrite.

More kids & parents: Desiree - Shan Yu & Calypso. Jonas - Barbossa. Gonzo - someone from James hook's crew. Bonnie - a random Hun & Calypso. There is also definitely a pirate VK named Peter somewhere.

RTC OC Brainrot time; this is the girl from the "a girl did a bunch of extra credit assignments because she and Ocean were close in GPA and she became Valedictorian instead of Ocean, and then when Ocean demanded an investigation into her academic records, they found nothing" headcanon I sent in a while back. Name: Violet Asper Birthday: July 15th Zodiac Sign/Nature: Cancer, the adventurous nature Favorite Ride: Anything that goes fast. RTC Superlative Title (The __est boy/girl/kid/etc in town): The Most Rebellious Girl in Town. Catchphrase: "As Katherine Hepburn once said 'If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.'" Short Karnak-style Backstory: Violet was born to two first-generation Canadians with her father's parents having emigrated from Ukraine just before World War 2 broke out and her mother's parents emigrating from Ireland to find more lucrative work; as a child, she noticed all of the contradictions within Catholicism and organized religion in general. She began to ask many questions to the point where teachers contacted her parents. She was assessed and diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. Teachers then began to weaponize her diagnoses against her, saying that because of her disabilities, she didn't know what she was talking about. This lead to her lashing out and she began to skip classes to smoke, vape, (albeit one that was prescribed for her ADHD) drink, and spray graffiti on St. Cassian's outer walls. However she would always study the material at home and managed to maintain a position on the honor roll all throughout high school. Being too much of a heathen for the rule-followers and too much of a goody two-shoes for the delinquents, Violet's paradoxical nature smacked her with the title of the Most Rebellious Girl in Town. Honestly she and Ocean have so much beef with each other; also she loves calling out people like one of my other OCs, Peter Daxton, who's this stuck-up heir to an oil tycoon. I haven't fully finished his profile yet, but Violet loves calling him out on him only getting by on his father's work and the notion that he's getting the oil tycoon instead of his younger sister Sarah, who's super sweet. Like you know that one TikTok where everyone on the normal bus was chanting "daddy's money" at the charter bus? Yeah, that's Violet to Peter whenever he starts getting cocky.

The man, the myth, the legend, the og. Tyr Deckard, formerly Cipher Nine of Imperial Intelligence, double agent for the Republic Strategic Information Service answering to code name Legate.

Eventually turns Commander of the Eternal Alliance.

Primarily, if I'm talking about this bad bitch, it's as his og agent self. This is the foundation upon which all of my following nonsense came off of, which is why "ch: tyr" still talks about mostly this bad bitch, and all these other bad bitches that are and aren't him at the exact same time have other weird tags I have banged into existence with, like, a frying pan.

I love him and he needs to retire.

Smuggler; known alias: "Oliver Daxton"

A companion au as much as a Tyr in the smuggler campaign in general-au. Reimagines Tyr as an ex-Imperial agent that defected out of Imperial Intelligence to the SIS, former Cipher Ten turned SIS Agent Oliver Daxton.

Started as an ask from @captainderyn that I just decided to be a little insane about, I guess.

Joins the titular Smuggler on Hoth as their contact point for the White Maw job and can potentially act as their right-hand. For fic writing purposes, I pair him with one of my other smugglers, Cee, and I primarily discuss Oli in that lens.

If Risha is Cee's right hand woman, Oliver is her left-hand man. In the smoke and dust after Corellia, Oliver and Master Sumalee pull a few strings with the SIS and have him reassigned with the new Voidhound more long-term, to protect the Republic's latest investment in underworld logistics.

In a potential edition of KOTXX events, when Cee goes missing in the wake of Marr's destroyed fleet, Oliver takes over her contact network and assumes her moniker as Voidhound, attempting to run supplies through Eternal Empire blockades initially in tandem with SIS efforts, before the straining relations between the Republic, Sith Empire, and the Eternal Empire of Zakuul break Oliver's overall faith in the Republic's true goals, and he takes the Voidhound's fleet to act independently until he is later contacted by Theron Shan to come home to the Alliance and reunite with Cee.

Bounty Hunter; known alias: "Kyranthe Rayne"

Shared au verse with @hyrohkaah; primarily focused in on the five year gap preceding KOTFE and following. A "Valkorian hot potato" role swap to shared verse events with Tyr & their Jedi Knight, Hyroh Kaah.

Involves a bit of timeline fuckery because timelines are a playground and this is already an au.

The short & sweet; Tyr adopts the alias "Kyranthe Rayne" and becomes a bounty hunter and assassin primarily for-hire following Hyroh's disappearance with Marr's fleet. Struck hard by the loss of a best friend, confidant, and lover, as Ky, he has already cut ties with Sith Intelligence earlier following the events on Ziost and now employs his former skills as a Cipher agent for his benefit first. And also to seek a little vengeance on the corrupt systems and parties that put him through hell as Cipher Nine.

Runs into Mako on the course of one of his hunts and basically adopts her. They are friends and partners now. They, in turn, also eventually adopt a stray former Jedi padawan named Ezekiel (also @hyrohkaah).

Ezekiel and Tyr got that sad, neglected, bonded, do not separate shelter dog rizz together. Eze essentially becomes his daughter. Bc it turns out Eze was also once a Sith Acolyte, so they share Imperial Abandonment Trauma (TM) and probably much to the stress of both of his now-adopted daughters, Tyr will kill people for them without so much as blinking.

In short, a Tyr who very nearly managed to get out and have a life beyond being an agent with Hyroh, lost that in the Wild Space expedition, spent approximately five years beaten down by the galaxy's assumption Hyroh had been killed, and who thus became a bit harder and a lot more stubborn about his boundaries in the aftermath of it all.

Eventually turns covert operative for the Eternal Alliance and is Hyroh's very fiercely protective guard dog of a boyfriend and personal advisor as Hyroh is thrust to become Commander of the Alliance.

Sith Warrior; known alias: "Tyr Kyrane"

I'm blaming this one mostly on @hyrohkaah because this is a take I said I'd never do for Tyr and now look what we're doing.

Full, actual, proper hot potato between Hyroh and Tyr, aka actual role swap where Tyr's the Force-sensitive one and Hyroh is the Imperial Agent. Crunchy Sith and Imperial power dynamics. Just as much devotion in blood. Just as much stupid displays of affection (eventually).

Partially reimagines Tyr's origin, of course, as adopted into the Sith Kyrane family following his parents' reported deaths (I'll neither confirm nor deny if this incarnation is still related to Keeper. Let's all suffer with the uncertainty. >:3), but not shown to be Force-sensitive until his early teens.

Thus struggles with alternating pressures of never being good enough for the family because he wasn't Sith, then because he wasn't of their own blood, and then especially because he's not of their blood, so any failures will be his own weakness, but could absolutely disgrace the house. Rigorous dance training eventually translates into dual training in dance and the demand to master the art of wielding a dual-bladed saber.

Connections with Overseer Tremel through the family bring him to Korriban slightly ahead of schedule, but Tremel takes over his training personally and paces it... far more evenly than his family. So you can imagine what Baras's later request for him to strike against the one man who perhaps gave half a damn about his well-being is like.

But, long story short, will attempt to use his eventual position as Wrath to curb some of the Dark Council's infighting and will take a particular interest in the remains of the Empire's Intelligence operations, thus adopted former Cipher Nine Hyroh Kaah as a personal agent in weeding out the remaining security risks of Baras's network of intelligence assets and informants.

Power couple shit, to be honest.

The babies of the aus because Joel and I had to make me bargain with myself to fucking finish his bounty hunter playthrough first and also maybe my Consular I've been neglecting on Satele Shan for fucking months, good god someone stop me.

Republic Trooper, Commanding Officer - Havoc Squad

An edition of Tyr that grew up in Republic space under the care of his single mother. They bounced around a fair bit between her work, sometimes moving planets entirely.

In his mid-teens, Tyr picked up work at a mechanic's shop - the latest in a series of odd jobs to help his mother make ends meet. As a side to that, he also got into racing swoopbikes. And accidentally ended up sort of in the middle of an SIS op that ultimately concluded in a staged accident in one of his races when he was sixteen. Tyr still has the scars on his chin and left shoulder.

Officially recruited into the Republic Strategic Information Service at 18, when he promptly moved out. His relationship with his mother had always been a bit strained and a touch distanced, so Tyr rarely saw much of her after the move. He did, however, continue to send her parts of his paychecks back to help her stay above board.

Ends up in SpecForce as an SIS plant with the goal of investigating rumored SpecForce unrest, desertions, and other unusual activity. Was never meant to stay assigned to Havoc Squad, but then... the whole squad turned to the Imps in front of him and... the rest is kinda history.

Has a tight, but somewhat up and down relationship with fellow Havoc recruit turned pilot in Hyroh. In short, Tyr isn't always the greatest fit as Havoc's CO, nor do him and Hyroh always see eye to eye based on differences in experiences with Republic loyalty.

Ultimately, however, Hyroh, Aric Jorgan, Elara Dorne, and Tyr are pretty ride or die. Despite the rocky lows and through the highs, they are consistently the people left around, the ones looking after each other. Tyr learns a lot about what he values and what truly matters: the people right beside you.

Korrasami is actually utilized very well and is very well developed unlike Makorra actually, where even after the break Korra and Mako barely interacted.

Korra showed 0 attraction towards Mako, she didn't even mention him when he wasn't around or completely forgot he was with them, often ignoring him when they actually shared a scene.

Ackshually, can I talk about Delano and Dax’s relationship a bit more? I’m gonna talk about Delano and Dax’s relationship.

I might have mentioned this before, but Dax is the closest Delano has let anyone since he banished himself from his family home. Which is, maybe like two decades, give or take. Dax was just so persistent and insistent on befriending Delano that he squirmed his way through the thick defences Delano had built himself after his trauma and the few years hanging out in street gangs and beating up anyone who even looked at him funny (his Rage Years, as he calls it).

Fang and later Daxton have been big catalysts in Delano letting himself relax and open to people again. It also helps that Daxton is quite literally the kind of younger brother Delano had hoped he’d have but never got. Antonio (Delano’s older younger brother) is more of the intellectual type (and physically frail) and Benjamin (Delano’s younger younger brother) was too soft to roughhouse with, despite him having the Yamada Prime Beef(TM). Daxton fills that niche perfectly. You could say that Delano has somewhat adopted Dax and Ezra (Dax’s younger sibling) as his siblings.

“If you’re happy then okay.” Devi and Paxton

“I have an idea,” Paxton said, coming in from the patio of their apartment. The girls were outside in the tiny grassed space they were allotted, blowing bubbles. 

“A tiny swimming pool won’t fit back there. Even the plastic kind from Target,” Devi answered, because that had been the current discussion before he’d gone out to check on the girls. 

“No, I’ve moved on from that. You’re right. You win. Take it gracefully, will ya?” he said, smacking her ass as he passed her in their small galley kitchen. 

“Have I ever been a gracious winner?” Devi asked, cutting up some apples. Paxton took a slice. 

“You’re mad that your mom is trying to sell her house.”  “I’m not mad. I’m an adult. I understand objectively why she’s doing it. I just wish she didn’t have to.” Devi took a slice of apple herself and bit it.  “And you don’t want her to move to India,” Paxton provided and Devi tilted her head.  “I’m neutral on that point.”  “I thought you were an adult,” he said, raising his eyebrows. 

“If that’s what she wants then fine, she should do it!” Devi turned to look out the sliding door to check on the girls, still blowing bubbles, still fine. She turned back to Paxton. “So what’s the idea?”

“It’s gonna be harder to sell it to your mom than you, but I think it’s worth trying,” he said, leaning over and kissing her forehead. 

“What is it?” Devi asked, suspicious now.  “We take the money we’ve been saving for a down payment and we buy your parent’s house.” 

“We can’t afford that house. We can’t afford anything in our parents’ neighborhood. The market there is ridiculous.” 

“Yeah, I don’t mean like buy it buy it, I mean make a deal with your mom.” He paused, watching to see if she’d say anything. “Like we would live with your mom.”

Devi laughed. “Oh, no. No. Nope. No.” She shook her head, vigorously. 

“Wait, hear me out, I have a plan!” he said, putting his hands up in defense like she might hit him. “We take the down payment money and we build her a whole new master suite on the first floor. She shouldn’t be going up and down the stairs anyway. The yard is plenty big enough to build an addition and still have room, we wouldn’t have to move your dad’s old garden box, we could put a swing set out there even. Then you and I and the girls are upstairs so there’s some separation from her and us.” 

“You think it will be fine, just being back in her house?” 

Devi loved her mom. Devi also fought with her mom. A lot. Still. Even as an adult. But she didn’t love the idea of her mom moving back to India. Devi didn’t want to have to haul her kids across several time zones so they could see their grandma. And the girls loved Nalini. She spoiled them to a point that Devi found annoying because she never got that kind of treatment from her mother! But if Paxton, enemy number one to her mother, could come up with this idea and agree to it, maybe Devi should at least consider. 

“You wanted a house with a pool,” Devi offered. “You’re willing to give that up? Because there is not room for an addition and a pool in that backyard.” 

“We’ll be closer to the old city pool. We know the schools are good. We’ll be closer to my parents. It makes sense, Devi.” 

The glass door slid open. “Mom, I need apples, I’m starving! Wasting away!” 

“Chill!” Devi shouted, as she gathered the sliced apples onto a plastic plate and handed them to the insistent and apparently withering away, five year old. 

“That add on for my mom, it would have to have another bathroom, like it can’t just be a bedroom, two bathrooms is not enough in that house for all of us.” Devi pointed her thumb over her shoulder at the dramatic child who was now happily eating apples on a plastic table outside. “That one is gonna be a problem as a teenager. She’s gonna be in the bathroom for so long.” 

Paxton scoffed. “She’s you, so it’s nice to see you’re aware.” 

Devi rolled her eyes. “And say goodbye to loud sex!”  “We have two kids, we haven’t had loud sex since before they were born,” Paxton said, tugging on her belt loops to pull her into a hug. “And as I recall we have had plenty of sex in that house and your mom never found out once. And she’d be downstairs.” 

“You know she’s never gonna die,” Devi said into his neck, wrapping her arms around him. “I already told her she can’t because I’m not about to be an orphan so your dreams of one day it being just us in that house aren’t going to come true.”  “I wouldn’t offer if I didn’t know that. I’m well aware of your demand for her immortality.” He kissed her head and Devi sighed.

“If you’re sure, if you’re happy then, okay.” Devi sighed again, knowing it would be a battle to convince her mom. “We can pitch it to my mom tomorrow at Sunday dinner. I don’t know if she’s gonna go for it though. She might hate the idea.” 

“If she hates it, then fine, back to the original plan of us buying somewhere else and getting out of this shoe box of an apartment by Christmas.” 

It took far less time than Devi assumed to convince her mother of the plan. It almost felt like Paxton had floated the idea to her mother before he’d even talked to Devi but she wasn’t gonna accuse him because she’d grown really attached to the idea overnight.  The addition went up quickly and they were out of the apartment by Christmas and Devi and Nalini only had one knock down, blow out fight during the process so things were going much better than expected. They were happy there. Even if there wasn’t room for a pool in the backyard.

-Absolutely being betrothed to a king does result in being lavishly spoiled on a regular basis. However, it is, rather hilariously easy that noticeable portion of his gift giving to you consists of dresses that are, a couple sizes smaller than what you're used to, or if they are the correct size, they also show off more than you're used to as well - an exposed back, a deep v cut over the chest area, sheer sides.

-The main reason, although, why he does gestures like that is because you deserve to feel beautiful, and gorgeous, as wondrously breath-taking as he always sees you. The last thing that he ever wants you to do is feel like you have to change yourself to fit the standards of other people who don't matter.

-Are you content with the size that you are? Then he will be your biggest fan in your corner that will be searing the heavens themselves with how much he'll be belting out. Do you want to lose weight? Then by all means, you have a personal coach in the shape of him, but he wants you to do it for you if that's what you wish, not for anyone else, not for your family, and certainly not for him, cause to him you're already perfect.

If you could write an alternate ending to one of the routes in Echo, whose would it be and how would it go?

Spoilers for Flynn's route under the cut

One thing I'd love to do is have an alternate ending to Flynn's route where he realizes his search for the truth of what happened to Sydney is destroying his life. Like you make different choices throughout his route and still wind up in the Smoke Room at the end with the apparition of older Sydney, but based on your choices if you made the right ones, he has that epiphany, and Carl and Daxton are able to get through to him before he becomes Socket Face

(my personal headcanon for the 'Sydney apparition' in that scene is that that IS Sydney trying to keep Flynn anchored to where he is so that Carl and Daxton can reach him before he destroys himself)

The main issue with this is that it brings up the issues of Sam and whether Flynn receives him from Chase or not (and if he does, does Flynn just carry the an undead warped cougar spectre with him for the rest of his life now?) and whether or not Flynn finds out the truth about Sydney's death from TJ at all.

More than anything I'd like for Flynn to get something of a happy ending, and I think the biggest tragedy in Echo is that in every timeline where he finds out the truth, it destroys him.

Something I should mention, is that my friend actually wrote an AU fanfic spun off from the end of TJ's route where instead of doing nothing at the lake, he jumps in and wrestles Flynn away from Chase, thus saving him from drowning. It's on AO3 under the Ripples series! A nice long lengthy read that ends with TJ and Flynn in a relationship together in probably the most realistic way possible

On one hand: aro / aro spec Paxton is a cool headcanon because we definitely need more rep for that. But on the other hand: is that genuine or are you headcanoning him as such to get him out of the way of your preferred ship? Not saying you should ship Daxton over Benvi if you lean more towards Benvi but anytime there is a show with two love interests and one of them is a man of color, it's almost a reoccurring theme that said man of color either gets desexualized, or infantilised, or raked across the coals for existing by the fans and the narrative or just plain ignored. Hopefully this doesn't come across as me starting shit because no one has that time and energy; I wanted to start a conversation about how people perceive love interests of color. oh definitely not lol. truthfully, i'm fine with either ship being canon but from a writer's standpoint i'd say benvi makes more sense. i absolutely adore paxton as a character though and honestly as an aro spec person myself i can really connect with him and i just like to think of him being aromantic/aro spec. if that's not your headcanon, cool!! however that headcanon has zero to do with his race or me trying to get him out of the way of benvi and everything to do with me simply identifying with his character's experiences. it was, quite literally, a case of me looking at my computer screen while watching him interact with possible love interests (not just devi) and being like "oh, he gives off aromantic vibes." honestly that was it. i'm just a silly little aroace looking for rep in any way i can lol.
