Avatar Modern AU Headcanons: The Early Years

Spider was adopted into the family after Neytiri found him wandering around the neighborhood as a toddler in just a t-shirt and underwear on one of the coldest days of the year. She immediately went to the police station and within a week Spider was removed from the McCoskers and was taken in by the Sullys as his foster family.

Jake and Neytiri have it ROUGH for a couple years - four kids under four? Eywa have mercy.

Listen. It is inevitable that little kids have a favorite parent, but the Sully kids are a little extreme with their hardcore Mom Favoritism™️. Neteyam can only fall asleep if Neytiri sings to him. Kiri doesn’t like Jake reading their bedtime stories because “mama does the voices better.” If Spider gets hurt he is inconsolable until Neytiri kisses it better. Lo’ak throws a tantrum for at least an hour every time Neytiri leaves them with Jake. My dude is being bullied mercilessly by kids who can’t even spell their names yet.

I fully support @be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie’s headcanon that Jake and Lo’ak are mortal enemies until Lo’ak hits about 5. But like, in a Megamind kinda way.

Whenever Lo’ak is acting up Jake pretends to call Santa and tell him to put Lo’ak on the naughty list.

Lo’ak will tell other adults the most embarrassing shit about Jake in the worst circumstances.

When Lo’ak is two and realizes his parents have names other than mama and daddy, he calls Jake by his first name only for three months. Imagine trying to discipline your two-year old and he whips out the first name.

In retaliation, Jake refers to Lo’ak as “the brat attack” until Neytiri reminds him that he’s the adult in this situation. He still does it sometimes when Neytiri isn’t around.

Neytiri has the mom reflexes of a god. No ER trips on her watch.

In fact, the first ER visit for the Sullys was when Neytiri left the kids with Jake to go shopping with Mo’at for some baby stuff while she was pregnant with Tuk. They don’t even make it down the street before Jake is frantically calling about Spider splitting his head open on the edge of the coffee table.

Spider is the most accident prone of the kids not due to clumsiness but a serious lack of survival skills and critical thinking. He used to throw himself off the top of the bunk bed he shared with Lo’ak just for fun.

Spider is technically the oldest, but due to the McCosker’s neglect he has some developmental delays and regressive behavior. Neteyam loves being able to act like a big brother for Spider even though he’s a year younger. They have a rough patch when they’re a bit older and Spider starts to assert himself more, but at the end of the day they’re Team Eldest and lean on each other a lot.

Kiri was a leash kid. Jake thought it was embarrassing but Neytiri could no take another incident of Kiri disappearing in public because she saw something interesting and wandered off to investigate.

Bluey is a staple in the Sully household. Jake and Neytiri are just happy that the chokehold Paw Patrol had on their kids seems to have gone away. Plus, now whenever they’re mean to each other, they just have to ask, “would Bluey and Bingo treat each other like this?” It results in an instant apology 99% of the time.

They talk back to their kids babble like it’s the most interesting thing in the world. Neytiri has full-on soap opera plots. The kids find it hilarious.

Jake, at the end of the day, is a military dad. And that means it’s MMA every day in the Sully household, starting young. He’ll suplex them into the couch, throw them onto the bed from across the room, toss them so high in the air he sees the bottom of their feet. Neytiri at first hates it, but she sees how gentle Jake is and tries to let it go. Even if it gives her heart palpitations.

Neteyam’s first word was “dada”, Kiri’s “mama”, and Lo’ak’s “no”. Spider’s speech was severely delayed and it took half a year of speech therapy to get him where he needed to be developmentally, so there’s was hot competition between Jake and Neytiri over who would get his first word.

It’s neither of them. Spider’s first word was “Teyam”. Even when they’re older Neteyam lords it over Spider’s head (but if he thinks too much about it it’ll make him cry, he just loves his brother so much).

I def have more of these percolating in my brain, but for now, enjoy!

I used the amazing KHR OC ask questions created by the equally amazing @social-muffin, which you can find right over here, for my KHR OCs. I haven’t had much of a chance to really rant about them, introduce them all to you lovelies other than their brief bios on my tracker page, and am so excited for the opportunity to do so! They’re my babies, one and all, and I love them. Of course, I have to start with Luca, so here’s his information!

What's your OCs name, pronouns and gender?

His full name is Luca Ricardo Accardi and he just goes by Luca. He doesn’t really have any nicknames, except for one his mother gave him as a baby, Goober. She would still call him Goober throughout his childhood and into his teen years, even in front of his friends, but he didn’t really mind it when she or his father used it. It was just one of the ways his parents showed their love for him, after all. When his friends and Guardians use it to tease him, he pretends to be really annoyed, and is at times, but most of the time, he’s hiding a smile and doesn’t mind so much. When they use it during the course of the story itself, it feels bittersweet to him and he has more of a problem pretending to be upset, usually just smiling sadly at them. He uses he/him pronouns and is a cisgender male. It’s mostly due to Luca’s thoughts on gender being really pretty straight-forward. He knows he’s male because he’s always been told he’s a boy, society views him as a boy, he doesn’t question that so he’s a boy. He’s also this very straight-forward when it comes to other people’s genders. If someone tells him they are a girl, even if other’s insist they’re a boy because of their birth certificate, Luca’s like ‘cool, they’re a girl’ and that’s it. If someone claims to have no set gender, Luca’s a little confused because he really doesn’t know how that works, but he accepts it still anyway. He's very much, in those situations, like ‘okay, I don’t get how someone can’t have a gender, but if that’s what you’re telling me, then it’s true’ and that’s how he’ll view them forever more.

What's their current age and what age do/did they get involved with the khr Canon?

During the course of the story, when Luca really comes into the KHR canon, he’s 15. In the Future Arc, he’d be either 25 or would just have turned 26, depending on when you believe that arc takes place. I definitely have headcanoned them out at all ages throughout the KHR canon though, right from the age of 15 all the way to still being friendly with the Vongola into his 70’s, because Luca dies from complications due to Alzheimer’s disease at 76.

What do they look like? Height, weight, unique physical features? (Drawings, Picrews, descriptions, all are welcome! Except AI art lmao)

The face claim I use for him is Mithra from Promise of Wizard, but it’s not exactly spot on to how I view Luca physically. The hair and eyes are the same, though I also think that, in the right lighting, Luca’s eyes look more teal than green. I also don’t envision him with the scar around his neck. However, I do think he has some noticeable scars, since he’s a little accident-prone.

Luca has red hair and green eyes that, as I said, look almost teal at points. He’s pretty long and lanky. Unless you were to see him shirtless, you would honestly figure him for being really skinny, with no muscles, and might even refer to him as a twig. He comes across like someone you could snap in two no problem because of that lean build of his.

He's kind of clumsy in his movements. Watching Luca is kind of like watching a young colt kind of getting its bearings, all long limbs and awkwardness. The only time this really changes is when he hunkers down and gets serious about fighting, when he starts really concentrating and paying attention to every move he’s making. Most of the time, he’s not paying that close of attention and because of that, he sometimes comes across with that awkward vibe, accidentally knocking into things, getting into people’s spaces without meaning to, unknowingly hitting someone close by because he didn’t really realize how long his limbs are or how far his reach is.

He tends to slouch and has pretty poor posture. He only remembers to stand straight, to try to create a more imposing figure or to appear more confident, when he’s reminded by someone, normally Bria to do so.

He has no tattoos, because he’s terrified of them, but does have his ears pierced. Him, and all of the children of the Accardi Famiglia, all his Guardians, went and got their ears pierced together in secret at something equivalent to a Claire’s, for Lara’s eighth birthday, as it was all she wanted and her parents had said no. They all figured Lara couldn’t be punished as badly if they all did it together.

What's your OCs relation to KHR? Are they someone's guardian, friend, subordinate, love interest? Or are they a family member of a canon character? If so, how are they related to that character?

SO, Luca comes into the KHR ‘verse as the successor to the Accardi Famiglia. This is a smaller Mafia family, though they have a long history. Nowhere’s near as long as the Vongola, and they certainly don’t rival the Vongola in power. Throughout their history, the Accardi have found themselves both on the good side of the Vongola and as a rival to them, depending on the Boss at the time. When the Boss of the family is moderate, when he treats his town well, doesn’t peddle drugs or weapons or other things, and when he keeps the Family strong but pretty well quiet, things with the Vongola are good. When the Boss is more temperamental, when the Boss is power-hungry, or such, then the Accardi Family have found themselves fighting with the Vongola and other important Families. But throughout, they have endured and existed. Luca’s father was the last proper Boss of the Accardi. He was one of those moderate Bosses who didn’t really seek power for power’s sake. However, he did want a little bit of power…by that, I mean he wanted a firmer footing for the current-day Accardi. He was not satisfied with the Family as it was. He wanted peace talks with various other Families. He wanted to gain more alliances and he even sought to ally them with the Vongola. It was the week before he and his Guardians were to go meet with Timoteo that it happened – two of Luca’s father’s Guardians, unhappy with the way he was leading the Family, adamant that he was making the Family weak and subservient to other families, adamant that he was destroying the Family’s history and lineage, staged a successful coup. They murdered Luca’s father and took his mother hostage, in order to keep Luca and his own Guardians, who had also been raised from birth for their successive positions, in line and unable to resist the changes that the old Guardians all stepped up to make in the Family. The other family members find themselves all at odds with who to follow and the Family has descended into madness, power struggles, and more than a handful of internal deaths. The children were carefully watched and managed and it took extreme measures, and the help of some members of the Family who truly are against the current Guardians and believe that the children are their only hope, for Luca and the others to escape and run.

In over their heads, the teens struggle to really know what to do. While they are strong and have been taught much, they’re only teenagers. There’s so much doubt within them that they can really solve any of this on their own, especially since for more than one of them, it would mean going up against their own parents. They’re anxious, they’re scared, they’re furious…at a loss for what really to do, it’s up to Luca to really lead the way, he feels, and he does what he thinks is best. He wants to meet with the Vongola and get their help in bringing the Accardi Family back to peace and to broker a future with them, as his father wanted, before Luca takes his place as the Accardi Boss, much earlier than he’d ever wanted to. However, the teens find it much harder to gain access to Timoteo than they’d figured.

Tsuna and his Guardians though? The next generation of Vongola? Far easier to gain access to them and the teens head to Japan. However, there are a lot of worries about whether the Vongola plan is even the best one, and doubts about whether the next generation of Vongola is going to be any use at all – they’re just teenagers too, after all, and certain Guardians of Luca’s believe these teenagers to be really weak and pathetic, especially after observing Tsuna and his family for a couple days, so there is some friction there.

The story is really just the next-gen Accardi and the next-gen Vongola meeting, learning to accept and trust one another, and solving the issues within the Accardi Famiglia. Of course, I do believe that Tsuna and Luca end up as allies after everything that happens, and their Families remain closely linked to each other even after the events of the story, so I have lots of ideas for them well past the events of the story proper.

What's your OCs flame/flames? If they have multiple, which flame is their strongest?

Unlike what most would think, which is that because he’s the Boss of the Family, Luca has Sky Flames, this is incorrect. While his father had Sky Flames, Luca has Sun Flames, as does his Mother. He has a weak secondary Sky Flame, but it’s so weak that he struggles to light it at all. It takes a lot of power and concentration to do so and when he does, the Flame is lacking in purity. However, when using his Sun Flames, Luca’s flame output is astronomical and the Flame’s purity is easily on par with the Vongola Flames.

How does your OC use their flame? Strictly for combat, or more recreationally? Is flame use something instinctive to them, or do they have to direct their flame consciously?

While Luca’s been taught mostly to use his Flames as tools for combat, he also has learned to light his Flame at will, how to attach it to official documents to both protect the document and verify that it was signed by him, and how to use the Flame to heal others in some way – be it physical, mental, or emotional. That sounds weird but let me explain a bit – he can use his Sun Flame to heal all but really serious physical wounds, but he can also use it to help someone else focus mentally, to sharpen their mind, and he can use it (though not nearly as well – it’s something he has to learn through years of hard work to do easily and instinctively) to sort of influence people’s moods by boosting the production of certain hormones and chemicals in the individual’s brain. When it comes to his Sun Flames, Luca finds them easy to summon and control in basic measures, but more advanced techniques are not a simple ‘I can think of it, so I can do it’ and require practice and heavy training.

Does your OC have a mafia family they are a part of? If so, what's their position in that Familia?

As mentioned in question four, Luca is the heir apparent to the Accardi mafia family and, by the end of the story, the Boss of the Accardi Famiglia.

If your OC was a civilian what would their job be? Would they be happy with that job? Would they be good at it?

As a civilian, I think Luca would be happy with a more subdued job, something without a lot of pressure but that still allows him to interact with a lot of people or enables him in some way to make people happy. I think something like some sort of chef, probably a pastry chef, since he’s really passionate about food and loves baking especially.

Do you have a voice actor picked out for your OC? If yes, why did you pick this voice actor? (If someone talked with your oc, what would they notice about their voice?)

Honestly, with Luca, where he’s a deaf mute, it would be really damn hard to pick a voice actor. He doesn’t really talk, though he will make noises. Those sounds typically tend to be really loud when they happen, just because he can’t really gauge his volume level, and they sound scratchy and hoarse when they come out.

Last question! What's your OCs current fashion style? And what's their dream style? Are they close?

Luca has a really simple, relaxed sense of style. He doesn’t really follow fashion at all and just wears whatever he likes and feels comfortable in. Jeans, hoodies, simple t-shirts under open button-down shirts, most of them in dark colours like navy, black, or dark grays, sometimes with maybe a pop of a light green or blue (normally gifted by his parents or friends). He lives in beat up old Converse high-tops and will be really sad when they finally wear themselves out. He doesn’t wear a lot of accessories. Normally he just wears simple steel studs in his ears, but if he’s feeling really fancy, he’ll add a stainless steel chain necklace to his outfit or a cool looking belt. Overall, he’s pretty happy with his style and doesn’t think it needs to be improved in any way.

I was thinking about smth while dinning with my family...and such thought has less than a minute.

If recovery girl's job is too hardous for her age (which hori never shows this but healing people can be tiring) why not ask help?

Ok lets explore some ideas here:

1) lets assume RG is indeed the ONLY person who has the le healing quirk. Ok and we wont enter in the whole "where is her family?" (If we dont know who was AM's mom...who is to say about RG?)

She should be more sought as she is, in this hypothesis, but it seems she only worked for AM.

Well...if the work in ua is so tiresome...why she accepted the work? There no other way to take care of students? Like we canonical see robots...why not program a medical bot ?

2) ok. The work is more than RG imagined (odd since we only see Izu in the medical ala) why not ask help to others healer users?

If we go to "RG is the only one in all Japan who has such quirk " well, AM has good relations with the US...why not ask for more healers from them?

Which can make me think how people would react if AM protects foreigns. Japan is not know to be very open mind in this regards (to be fair, many countries fall to this too) and like this alone could serve as a good commentary. Healers from another country doing their jobs but people like Redestro and maybe Nighteye are looking down on them "not japanese enough"

Or

Maybe no one cares for this aspect but imagine the healers's reactions to see how UA gives no shit to the students. The cultural clash!

3) ok. Japan has others healers...why ask a woman, an old one, who seems to not like her job or heal students?

Which ok but this means she is in to heal one person. Not everyone and well she is only seen healing Izu...and seems to resent that.

Honestly, as Recovery Girl's power uses the patients own energy to accelerate their healing there's no reason why it should be hard for her to be a healer even in her old age.

However what is a problem is that she is shown to be the only healer to an ENTIRE SCHOOL! Wtf Hori?

Let's go through your ideas because you have good ones here;

1) To paraphrase - Why didn't super smart Nedzu think to organise a whole team of assistants for Recovery Girl? Or even make a MediRobot to assist her? - Oh indeed why not. Well, because Hori says no technically. I can't imagine Recovery Girl refusing the help (unless she's a bit like Aizawa and instead is trigger happy with firing her assistants? Maybe?) So in which case why not a robot to help her? Nedzu has the money and should have utilised it here. Hori says no and is too lazy to give Recovery Girl focus beyond her handful of scenes (most of which make her look like an ass.)

2) Why not ask for help from other healers? Again another plot hole! She should have! And if AM brought in a lot of American healers, it could actually influence this version of MHA's society to be more tolerant of other cultures but I could still see Redestro and Nighteye acting that way.

3) If Japan has other healers why ask Recovery Girl who doesn't like her job? Maybe she's the best healer? Maybe she's the only person who got a hero licence to use her quirk as a Doctor? Maybe, Maybe, Maybe. Either way there could have and should have been better people to fill the role, how resentful RG was to heal Izuku always rubbed me wrong. (Imagine how many abuse victims came under her care and were berated for 'being clumsy' 'hurting themselves' or 'being accident prone,' when really they were being hurt at home and that was the excuse they provided her.)

I wish instead of Recovery Girl, we had a team of Medi-Bots led by Todoroki Natsuo because I loved the headcanon that had been floating around of him training to be Doctor. And it would have brought the other Todosibs more in focus.

the 7-questions-ask: Goofy

Three facts about them from my personal headcanons.

His original name, Dippy Dawg, was a screen name, because people told him the name "Goofy" would get him laughed out of Hollywood. But Mickey convinced him to start using his real name.

His love triangle with Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar is a lot like the Norman/Hannah/Mike love triangle in Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swenson mystery novels (a guilty pleasure of mine). Clarabelle can't choose between Goofy and Horace, so she dates them both. Even though they would both like to be her only boyfriend, they accept this arrangement with minimal jealousy, are still friends with each other, and sometimes date other women too (e.g. Sylvia in An Extremely Goofy Movie).

His two favorite foods are pancakes and homegrown tomatoes. Sometimes he combines them by making pancakes with tomato sauce, or BLT sandwiches with pancakes as the bread – both of which are surprisingly good.

Five things that never happened to the character that I believe should have happened:

There should have been more cartoons showing Goofy with Max outside of the Goof Troop/Goofy Movie universe (besides Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas and Twice Upon a Christmas), letting Max interact with Mickey, Minnie, et al.

We should have learned what happened to Max's mother.

There should have been a cartoon explaining why anthropomorphic dogs like Goofy and non-anthropomorphic dogs like Pluto exist in the same cartoons.

He should have shared more cartoons with Dolores the Elephant besides The Big Wash.

There should have been a cartoon about the "making of" Mickey's Christmas Carol, showing how he came to be cast against type as Jacob Marley, of all characters.

He should have attended the premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with Mickey, Minnie, and Donald. He probably would have looked hideous, as Mickey and Minnie did (only the Donald costume looked good back then), but he deserved to be there.

Five people that character never fell in love with and why.

Minnie Mouse. She's too "perfect" – he needs to be with someone who's a little clumsy and silly like himself.

Daisy Duck. Ditto.

Minnie's dog Fifi. Even though she's the same species as he is, she's non-anthropomorphic, and he doesn't go for that.

Snow White. She's his favorite Disney Princess (because his original voice actor, Pinto Colvig, also voiced Grumpy and Sleepy), but she's human.

Pete's wife Peg from Goof Troop – despite the rumors, it never happened.

Encanto Headcanons #3

This family gives me so much brainrot, it's not even funny.

Dolores heard of ‘Ignorance is bliss’ and thought “Damn, must be nice-”.

All the triplets are one minor inconvenience away from snapping. Especially Julieta. Pepa and Bruno not so much since they let out their chaos more often than their sister.

Camilo gets his knife cat face from Pepa when she was younger.

Camilo is a full blown mommy's boy, born and raised. Nobody could hold him longer than 5 minutes unless it was Pepa when he was a baby.

Antonio more of a daddy's boy, Félix always helping his son adjust to his newly acquired gift. Dolores is close to both her parents; spoiled rotten by Félix and relating the most to Pepa.

Out of boredom and fun, Félix and Agustín would try playing cards (Go Fish) with each of the baby grandkids to see who would get the concept faster. Mirabel was the fastest to understand.

For personal reasons, Isabela is banned from playing uno, monopoly, and any other family-ruining games.

Pepa, Dolores, and Julieta can only play for so long until they become problems too.

To everyone's surprise, the Cool sister's competitive nature comes from Julieta. Agustín doesn't have a single competitive bone in his body. Meanwhile Julieta gets so invested in a game of Monopoly that it's slightly terrifying.

Nobody knew where Mirabel got her sassiness from until they encountered a very tired and almost-done-with-life Julieta.

The Cool sisters have moments where they inherited Agustín’s accident-prone nature. The amount of convincing Isabela has to do to get Mirabel and Luisa to not laugh about her tripping over her own plants.

Now that I think about it, all the Madrigals are clumsy in their own ways (we see from young Alma, Bruno, Camilo, Pepa, Mirabel, and of course, Agustín our accident prone king). It just runs in the family. Thanks Alma.

When Isabela started experimenting with creating four leaf clovers, best believe Bruno was on that market.

For the first couple of weeks that Bruno came back, Luisa became his Madrigal-assigned bodyguard to protect him from the weary/angry/jackass villagers reacting to his return. Really, she just wanted to be around her tio again and volunteered to do it.

Bruno didn't mind too much, but it does do something to your confidence when your sobrina ends up being your protection.

More or less, this led to a lot of uncle-niece bonding time consisting of the two helping around the village, sitting under trees, and relaxing during Luisa-mandatory breaks.

Luisa starts to really like rats. She finds them so cute and tiny with their weird tails.

Anytime Pepa snows, Camilo thinks its funny to just make her a mini snowman army in the snow piles she leaves. At first she didn't find it amusing to just turn around and see a bunch of snowmen but now actually turns out quite fond of them.

You know how when Elsa is sick, she makes snowgies? That but it's Pepa being sick and she makes "cloudbebes".

Dolores, Félix, and Antonio adores them. Camilo finds them annoying since they always zap him with static.

That's only if she has a small cold. Pepa with a fever probably sets up the movie "2012".

Mirabel, Félix, and Dolores could honestly be a band if they wanted to. Félix on guitar, Mirabel on accordion, and Dolores on piano. Abuela is considering Madrigal concerts with the three.

During a card game with Camilo, Mirabel, and Dolores, Alma decided to join it. Halfway through the session, it turned into Alma teaching the kids her skills on how she wins every game. You don't live this long and don't learn a thing or two.

Mirabel knows a few magic tricks from wanting to prove she can do magic as well in the family.

The trick where a card appears out of thin air always gets Camilo.

Dolores is still trying to figure out how in the world that peso got behind her ear without her hearing it.

Sometimes when everyone's schedule is just absolutely flooded, the adults trust Casita enough for babysitting duty (Casita the best babysitter).

Casita was the mvp of the whole movie.

Mariano instantly fit in as one of the grandchildren, nobody even questioned it.

He starts to hang around the Casita and stay for dinner more and more often. Abuela doesn't know if this is purely for Dolores or just because he's attached to this family.

A whole family discussion could be happening and Mariano is standing there with Antonio playing with his stuffed jaguar on the Guzman's shoulders.

Bruno is not one for confrontation but if anyone was to mess with any of his family, he's ready to whip up the most horrific prophecy to scare the life out of the person at hand.

One would think Bruno is not good with kids due to his social anxiety, but he's fantastic with them. He misses all the time he could've had with his nieces and nephews during his time in the walls.

Bruno regrets missing out on his sobrinas' quinces. He wishes to make up for that lost time and dances some day. (Unsure if males have a similar thing, but if so, he'd regret missing Camilo's as well) (also also let me know cause I'm genuinely curious and don't trust Google).

Everyone fears Bruno disappearing again, but one of the Madrigals who fear it the most is Antonio. He just got his tio, that he didn't even know was around, back and is firmly attached to the man. If Bruno can disappear once, he could again, and that's what scares Antonio the most. If he goes without seeing Bruno for a whole day, he starts to panic and worry. This often leads to a Bruno-Antonio sleepover in the youngest's room; rats invited!

but it wasn't an easy task

he considered doing the same as Julieta, waiting for you to get hurt and having her make you a magical meal

but even if your accidents didn't kill you, they would kill him from a heart attack

in all honesty, he didn't have the best body coordination of all people, but it was enough to keep his feet on the ground

he tried everything, helping you with your chores, shadowing you the whole day, making you wear protective gear

you just kept getting hurt

My headcanon is that angsty-teenager Bruno (hello, untreated mental illness) thought Agustín was somehow messing with Julieta at first. Surely, one person cannot be so accident-prone and clumsy, right?

Wrong! Agustín is in a league of his own.

Once Bruno realises that Agustín is just Like That (and is a sincerely sweet and funny guy) he likes him a lot more.

At first, Bruno wondered if Agustín was one of those jerks who just liked to waste Julieta's time. There was no way this kid was actually this accident-prone, right?

He and Julieta were thirteen, Agustín was twelve and, once more, Agustín showed up at Julieta's stall. He was utterly covered in bee stings, swollen grotesquely. Bruno heard an old lady in the crowd gag.

Honestly, Bruno was kind of tempted to gag too. It was gross.

It was also Agustín's fourth appearance today. No, really. Bruno wished he was joking.

"Oh dear," Julieta said. She looked amused but also completely baffled. "Um, what happened exactly?"

"I was trying to help mi Papí chop wood," Agustín said sheepishly. "But, um...When I swung the axe..."

"You hit a tree with a beehive," Bruno finished flatly. Sue him, he was suspicious, okay?

"Sí!" Agustín bit into the cookie Julieta handed him and the swelling immediately went down. "Did you have a vision?"

Bruno tensed. Everyone in line tensed. Julieta, who had previously been smiling, looked at Agustín with an accusing frown.

"No," Bruno snapped, unable to hold back his impatience. Was Agustín seriously trying to imply his own clumsiness was some sort of curse from Bad Luck Bruno? "It's just obvious you're stupid."

There were startled gasps then. Even Bruno was surprised at himself. He didn't insult people so bluntly and when he was outside of Casita he barely spoke above a whisper. Normally, Julieta would tell him off for being rude, but she was still looking at Agustín like he was one of the bullies from school.

Most shockingly of all, Agustín laughed. "I am," he said cheerfully. "Y'know, Mamí took me to get my eyes tested again- she thought my sight must have gotten worse- but nothing's changed! I just always fall over."

"...Oh," Bruno mumbled. He knocked on Julieta's stall and his own head. Slowly, cautiously, Julieta began to smile again.

Realisation seemed to hit Agustín when he saw how everyone in line was staring and whispering. "Oh! Oh, yikes, I only asked- I just meant because you guessed what I'd done! I don't think you made it happen."

"...Oh," Bruno mumbled again, slouching in his seat. Julieta sighed in relief. "Er, okay then."

Agustín smiled, swinging his arms. "Heh. Anyway, I'd better-"

And the world turned green. Pain flared in his head, the sounds around him melted away and Bruno was only dimly aware of Julieta's arms catching him before he could fall off his seat.

Agustín was standing in front of Julieta with a bloody nose and black eye. He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck. He and Julieta were still in the clothes they were already wearing; it was still today then.

Bruno came back to reality, slouched against Julieta, gasping for breath.

"Sana sana colita de rana," Julieta sang softly. "You okay, hermanito?"

Bruno carefully pretended he didn't see one of the men cross themselves, or how everyone around them seemed to be holding their breath.

Everyone but Agustín. He was kneeling next to Julieta, eyes wide and concerned behind his glasses.

"You okay?" he asked. "That looks like it hurts."

Bruno sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Juli, give him an arepa for the road. He's gonna need it."

Baby!Mirabel and Julieta Hedcanons coming through:

Mirabel was a rainbow baby and a preemie so Julieta was far more attentive and worried about her than she was with her older daughters because she was afraid there might be something wrong with her health that her food wouldn't be able to heal.

Mirabel was a quiet baby, rarely crying, but when she learned to talk, she'd just babble and ramble endlessly, much to Julieta's amusement and exasperation when she heard a giggly "Mami" in the middle of the night.

When Mirabel was just a few months old, her obsession with butterflies started. That's why later on, Julieta came up with the nickname "mariposa" or "mariposita".

Little Mirabel was basically Julieta's shadow, walking after her when she wasn't busy playing and being a menace.

Since her curls grew enough to pin anything into them, Mirabel was always wearing a bow because she wanted to look more like her Mami when she was a kid, but she stopped after her gift ceremony because she associated it with a gift she didn't get.

Mirabel was Julieta's only daughter that actually liked to cook and even if she was just a clumsy kid back then, Mirabel loved to help in the kitchen.

Mirabel loved when someone told her she looked like her Mami. She wielded the title of mini-Julieta with pride.

Julieta always thought Mirabel's clumsiness (more intense when she was smol) was endearing, even if healing both her and Agustin could be a handful sometimes.

Baby!Mirabel and Julieta had matching aprons – adult-sized and kid-sized.

The first time Mirabel tried to help Julieta with empanadas, instead of crescent-shaped they turned out to be more heart-shaped. Julieta loved it so much it became a normal shape for Mirabel's favourite type of empanadas that Isabela and Luisa liked too.

Julieta and Casita had an agreement that Casita would do anything in her power to keep Mirabel safe and alert her whenever something bad happened to Mirabel (and it happened quite often because she was the second most accident-prone person in the family).

Little Mirabel loved music and dancing, often distracting Julieta from her cooking even for a swiftest twirl around. (When older, Mirabel would design them matching skirts made specifically for dancing.)

People claimed that Mirabel was a little demon while being a smol kid, wreaking havoc along with Camilo wherever they went, but Julieta always insisted her youngest was an angel. And to her she was. Little Mirabel always knew how to charm her way using her puppy eyes (that she didn't inherit from Julieta at all, nope).

I like to headcanon that rebecca reminded gordon of what he used to be like when he was younger. bright, proud, not afraid to voice his thoughts, sometimes a bit clumsy and accident-prone but nonetheless really passionate. and at first, gordon doesn't want to get himself too attached to the young trainee (since y'know. every single people he cares about straight up passed away or disappeared) but eventually gave up, pinched the bridge of his nose, and thought "damnit. I'm getting way too old for this"

and I think rebecca thinks very, very fondly of gordon. at first, she thought that he's going to be menacing and distant because of his demeanor. but during her first week at work, thomas asked her what she thinks of her coach.

thomas: "what do you think of the big guy?"

rebecca: "hm? coach gordon? well, I think he's suuuper nice, thomas! he's such a big role model! he's the sharp, straight-to-the-point kind of guy. he doesn't talk a lot or show much expression in his voice, but I just know he's really proud of the express! well, he would tell me if I mess things up, but he's not the "do you know what you've done wrong?" long-winded kind of guy. he just tells me what I did wrong and shows me how to fix it right away. and he would always say to me, "great job, rebecca." at the end of each day! he even gave me a piece of gum during lunch break once!"

Headcanons for Julíeta and Agustín Madrigal

I have these headcanons for Julíeta and Agustín that have been in my head for a while now so I am going to share them. This will contain both canon, headcanon, and modern AU ideas as well as Live action ideas. Enjoy ♡

A young Julíeta (15) was at her stand like she is every morning giving the villagers in town food to heal their injuries as she was finishing up she gets approached by a young Agustín (14) who is covered in bee stings. Julíeta gives him her last arepa to help him heal.

Julíeta and Agustín begin to spend more time with each other when she is done healing people. Agustín does his best not to get hurt when he is spending time with her so she doesn't have to heal him. The two get to know each other more they end up loosing track of time and he walks her back to the casita and they say they will see each other the next day.

16-year-old Julíeta starts seeing a boy named Sebastián Díaz and Agustín is a little jealous and starts spending his time with his friend's friend Mía González who soon developed a one-sided crush on him. When Julíeta sees them she becomes jealous but acts civil when she sees them in town but when she gets home she wants to hit something but she says nothing because Alma set her up with Sebastián but Pepa and Bruno can see how upset she is and try to talk to her but she says she is "fine" but she is not at all

Julíeta now 21 is getting ready for her engagement dinner per her mother's request meanwhile as Pepa helps her Bruno goes to find Agustín to tell him that Julíeta is unhappy and for him to come to see her. A few hours later Bruno comes home with Agustín and Pepa tells Julí she should go to the balcony which makes Julíeta confused but nods then sees a 20-year-old Agustín below. Pepa and Bruno let the two talks as they distract their mother who was about to walk out of the casita. A few minutes later Julíeta comes down and tells Alma she can't go through with the engagement because she fell in love with Agustín who her mother refers to as the boy who keeps getting hurt. Julíeta was a good daughter but she was in love with Agustín and she was not going to let anyone get in the way of her happiness.

At 24 she married Agustín who was 23. The two were finally happy to be together the next to follow was Pepa and Félix to tie the knot and the road for them was as equally complicated but that is for a different post.

August 7th was when the birth of their first child a daughter named Isabela was born to follow was her prima Dolores who was born on August 31st to Pepa and Félix. Her younger sister Luisa was born on November 14th the following to be born on March 6th is the youngest on Julíeta's side is Mírabel who was born after her primo Camilo who was born on December 28th and the last to be born to Pepa's side is Antonio on May 21st.

Julíeta's friends María Duran and Jimena Valentina often question why she feels for a clumsy and accident-prone man (as well as Alma who didn't approve at first but slowly warmed up to him as long as he kept his daughter happy she is happy to have him in the family.)

Sometime later Agustín started working as an agent for the NCIS he started working with a female partner named Jessica Nightingale. Which made Julíeta a little jealous again but Agustín reassured her that it was only for work and he only loves her. (I had put an NCIS reference in here because of Wilmer Valderrama.)

So I have a kinda fluffy headcanon about Julieta and Agustine and how they got together

Because he's the most accident prone person alive, he was constantly going to her for help. At first she was just mildly annoyed that he kept hurting himself and coming to her, but over time they got to know each other and became sort of friends.

One time he came and she had just given out her last healing food, so she had to make something for him. He just sat on the counter the whole time with like a busted face and talked to her and they actually had a really good time.

After that he started staying longer when she helped him and getting closer. He was probably the only person who bothered to stay and get to know her instead of just showing up for help and leaving after, which made her happy. And he could make her laugh, and helped her (if his injury allowed).

They got closer and closer as they spent so much time together, and eventually they fell in love.

That’s so sweet 🥺. I like to think he also started helping out because he could see how overworked she was and felt bad about, especially since he receives her help a lot, and then he realizes that the “feeling bad” feeling has in fact, turned into butterflies in your stomach, all twisted up in notes, oh no I’m so in love it makes me sick kind of feelings, that just grew over all of the helping out and getting to know her.

Then even when he’s helping he kinda gets flustered and actually causes chaos and accidents but Julieta’s known him long enough to find his clumsiness kinda endearing so finally she just makes him sit with her instead of helping because even though he insists he can leave and get out of her way, she very much wants him around and to stay.

Goodness you’re a handful… You’re rather accident prone most of the time, tripping and such. Of course you aren’t too badly hurt, just a measly little scrape, you’re only left with wounds that graze your skin, but she’s worried that you might be left with worse if she doesn’t keep an eye on you.

One time she watched you while you rode your bike around the front of the church, just outside, and within a couple moments your bike had stumbled over a large rock in the road and you fell and scraped your knee.

Sarvente’s pretty much prepped herself for whenever you get hurt, she has bandaids and such on her and she has antiseptic ointment stored somewhere. Encase the worse comes to fruition, she has a first aid kit.

She’ll offer to help you bandage it, of course she’ll use the antiseptic ointment so it won’t get infected. But if you refuse her help, she’ll just sit there and hand you the things you need.

You may or may not be immortal like her, but still please try and be careful. You’re a good friend to her, and she’d hate to see you get hurt!

They're both on their computers. All the time.

Like, they have two separate rooms set up for all their equipments.

And a different room for sleeping.

Since their jobs require sitting in front of the computer for long hours, it's only when the other reminds them how late it is, do they let go.

Jake loves to look at mc draw.

It's very therapeutic to watch her create something from scratch and he finds himself doing it quite often.

Mc is aware of it and secretly likes the attention.

Going out for shopping is something they both dread.

Jake, because he's not comfortable in large crowds.

And mc because she pretty much comes home injured from tripping over nothing.

So Jake begrudgingly goes to but supplies, so that mc doesn't have to be covered in bandages when she gets home.

The times when she does come home injured, Jake is very careful in taking care of her.

They're mostly small scrapes and little bruises here and there from banging into something, but he takes the utmost care in making sure that all of them are looked after.

And mc just stares at him when he's applying medicine, getting lost in how he furrows his brows in concentration and little puffs of air leaving his nose when he's satisfied with how he bandaged the wound.

Despite being very prone to accidents, mc is surprisingly good at cooking.

At first, he used to fret that mc is going to cut herself for sure.

But watching her work in the kitchen made him realise how exact and efficient she is.

And she guns under her breath while prepping and Jake likes to hear her new tunes.

And he also encourages her to add them somehow in the game to which mc flushes in embarrassment at being caught humming.

Group meet nights make them both very anxious because neither of them are really outgoing so they always think the people might find them boring.

But they somehow manage to hype each other up and even if they find themselves outside of ongoing conversation, they hold each other's hands under the table and share secret smiles.

At home, they like to designate quality time together, where they just lay in bed together and talk, or just cuddle each other.

With both of them being so busy, taking time out for each other is very important and they're both adamant on doing this right.

It has worked wonderfully so far and they're both sure that it will, for a very long time.

Favorite thing about them: How funny he is, obviously, but also how sweet, friendly, and earnest he is, which makes him truly likable and more than just a one-note bumbling idiot.

Least favorite thing about them: Probably his well-meaning yet questionable parenting choices in A Goofy Movie that make Max miserable. Though of course the moody teenage Max is at fault too, and once they finally have a heart-to-heart talk, they come to a beautiful resolution.

Random headcanon: His two favorite foods are pancakes (since he sings about them at one point in Mickey and the Beanstalk and eats them in the breakfast scene in A Goofy Movie) and homegrown tomatoes (since he sang a cute song about them on the '90s kids album Funny Food Songs). Sometimes he combines them: for example, he makes BLT sandwiches with pancakes instead of bread, or griddled tomatoes with butter and maple syrup.

Unpopular opinion: I'd like to see an explanation of what happened to Max's mother that didn't kill her off. I know it's generally accepted fanon that she died, but in the first place, there are too many dead mothers in media, and secondly, the idea that a character as happy and silly as Goofy should be a widower feels so sad and wrong. But then, the alternative of a divorce that ends with Max's mother no longer in his life might be worse. The only explanation that wouldn't be incredibly sad for Goofy would be if Max was adopted and Goofy was always a single parent. But that doesn't seem likely: all evidence points to Max being Goofy's biological son, since he has his buck teeth and his laugh. Maybe it's just as well that Max's mother has never been mentioned at all.
