I think the thing is that yes textually Carol Dallon is/was an atrocious adoptive parent whose incompetence, neglect, preconceived notions and unexamined traumas and whatnot contributed to the process by which Amy Dallon was wrapped in chains and bundled into the express pneumatic tube to hell, and there's a certain gravity to the dynamic as written which requires a nuanced and thoughtful approach lest you fall into Certain Pits. I need Carlos to win another race! Please god! Ever since the Monza win the Lecfosis have dialled up their annoyance level!

Like the man literally went offline for a week. Noone knew his whereabouts until like yesterday. Yet he was the topic of conversation for them. And for the stupidest reasons!

The whole nickname thing. God forbid the man who has the same name as his father also has the same nickname. The nickname which turns out alot of Spanish athletes get!

And on the other nicknames, just because you haven’t heard them doesn’t mean they aren’t real, especially when there are multiple evidences of them being used!!

And don’t even get me started on the whole Zak and Williams situation. Like what does that have to do with Carlos??? He was catching strays for nothing! (I’m blaming this one on James and his whole “it was like dating” spiel) And turns out Zak wasn’t dropped from Williams and is still part of their driver academy!

And also apparently making it look like Maya and Ollie don’t like Carlos because we said they’re one of his grid kids!

I haven’t seen it yet, but I know somewhere there must be a Lecfosi blaming Carlos for Newey not going to Ferrari and bunch of other Lecfosis going exactly. 🙄

I am obviously a huge fan of Caleb's character arc and the trajectory of his development. I'll always be a sucker for the story of someone becoming a better and kinder person and healing. NONETHELESS I enjoy the glimpses so far of that evil alignment start in the first episode so much.

This man is running on survival mode so hard. He is willing to do anything, to use anybody for his own protection. The enormous amounts of lying. Hiding amongst helpless circus visitors during the fight. He is so desperate to get out of any possible situation at all times.

And then, soon: the behind the scenes alignment shift. Liam understands that this behaviour, this alignment if followed to its logical conclusion, will not fly with this group and he does not want for Caleb to leave the group because of it. So he decides on an alignment shift. But if we apply this shift as happening to Caleb diegetically instead of just a flipped switch or something like that (and I'd argue we should because Liam puts in the work and makes Caleb's shift towards more cooperative behaviour feel coherent, especially with some heavy nudging from Nott [the others too but Nott is the deciding factor]) then it follows that not only does the group have an enormously beneficial influence on him very early on but also that Caleb makes a choice to adjust his behaviour. Caleb himself understands - eventually - that his previous behaviour cannot continue. He makes the conscious decision to become a better person. "Yesterday was not great. - We'll do better today, right? - Sure." indeed.

I do understand people shipping, Boone and Manny, and at the same time I don’t

Speaking from personal experience: if Manny can feel such a strong dislike towards what’s supposed to be his best friends partner, to the point of feeling joy that said partner is no longer around… bitch. The closet very obviously is see through. You gotta be insanity levels of either jealous of a person, or in love with them to have that kind of disdain in your heart- disdain that should objectively be support for your friend even if you think their wife sucks and is rude asf

When I say personal experience, I mean, in the sense that growing up, there was more than one instance, where a girl didn’t like whoever i was with even if they were good. It was like well if i can’t have you, i don’t want anybody to have you. And i’m gonna disprove and sabotage until you pick ME.

I don’t think it’s good for people to be this way, but it’s human. And it’s really all too common. And that’s what brings me back to this twisted ass dynamic with boone and manny

While l don’t personally ship it, I understand where people are coming from and I have 1 billion questions that will probably never be answered in regards to Boone and Manny‘s relationship, especially as brothers in arms in the NCR (brothers in arms? Lovers in arms👀💀?) I said it on TikTok in a video I made at 4 AM rambling about this. You guys were best friends throughout the spoils of war, probably some of the most traumatic and damning times of your lives… But of all things to get in between your relationship, it was the prospects of a woman? A romantic interest? Your best friend finding what he deemed as his happiness? …. Oh baby something is awry here

I know and read that some people might find it cringe when he shouts his Umai, but gosh I actually fell in love with him with his first umai shout, so I am totally digging this 😂

So let's create following scenario:

What if Umai is the only word in his vocabulary? (don’t think too logically here and just imagine a crazy blood demon art, alright?)

Imagine then the different tones he would say it. Not him shouting it like we know, but the different vocal nuances. When he has a question and goes: “Umai?”

Or if he gets angry and is all broody, his voice grumbling in that deep timber. “Umai…!”

Or when he hears you giggling because his soft kisses tickled you and he also chuckles out his “Umai”

Or when suddenly his kisses travel down your body, making you whimper, and whispering at each lick and kiss a soft and seductive “Umai~”
