Profiles in Villainy

Batros

As clever as he is dangerous, the villainous Batros sequestered himself on the dark side of Eternia.  Coming to desire more power, he relocated to the Temple of the Sun where he hatched a plan to steal all the books of Eternia from the Royal Palace at Eternos; believing these books to possess knowledge he could use to conqueror the realm.  

This villainous plot was ultimately discovered by the heroic He-Man who, along with his allies were ultimately able to thwart Batros’ schemes.  Defeated, the villain fled back to the dark side of the Eternia.  

Actor Erik Gunden provided the voice for Batros with the villain first appearing in the 72nd episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, ‘The Great Books of Mystery.’

One of my favorite things is when my parents find similiarities in the media I like to the things they grew up with, like when my mom said Ralsei's Chapter 1 appearance (with the hat obscuring his face in shadow) reminded her of Orko from He-Man :3

(side note: "silly little dudes with eyes in a dark void for a face" is one of my favorite character design types tbh)

Did people look upon the whimsy with which it is presented and snidefully scorn about its childish nature? Did they wonder in awe at Cringer's wisdom where one might've expected cowardice? Did they see adam's yee yee ass haircut and kid eyes and scoff at the gall the showrunners had to not make adam grow up in a castle?

BRO THE ENTIRETY OF HE-MAN IS DEEPLY UNAPPRECIATED FR, ONE WOULD THINK A SIZABLE PERCENTAGE OF YOU GAY FUCKS WOULD SEE THE 2018 SHE-RA AND THINK "hm, perhaps i could check out its brother show" PLEASE I BEG OF YOU AT LEAST LIKE I DUNNO LOOK AT THE 2002 ONE OR REVELATION/REVOLUTION BRO I CAN'T TAKE THIS I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING INSANE (i am going insane)
