I love how the martial gods are described as thinking with their fist kinda guys. They're good for breaking walls and windows, they can't help but admire their opponent's skills even when they're being beaten. And most of all I love that Jun Wu is actually happy when Hua Cheng lands a hit on him. Like, he may be everything that's wrong with the world and suffering a perpetual mental health crisis, but he's still a martial god, the martial god and he hasn't had a good match since forever. He's as martial-pilled as his fellows.

So in my efforts to find anything and everything related to the Albatross, I discovered a twitter fic I had missed about a Loyal Wing named Solmaz. There's a lot I could say about it, but towards the end of the fic there is an extremely funny moment where we get the internal monologue of The Maw (inasmuch as they have an internal "monologue") and we get one voice (heavily implied to be the remnants of Yond-Balor's psyche) reminiscing about the life of luxury and mindless violence and consumption he engaged in, only to be told to shut up by the rest of the Maw's hive mind. Might be the funniest thing in all of Lancer.
