Bug Dewi (Mining Bee)

Many people have asked what Dewi, from the HK comic, would look like as a BUG. (The design is very loosely inspired by the Mining Bee). Here's a lil bit more art. And here's Dewi's dad as a bug.

I have also learned too much about this bee and will now infodump about why this is a cute bee for Dewi.

Mining Bees are solitary, but they commonly nest close by one another in "bee cities". I thought this would fit since Dewi is a Human, a social creature, but not a hive mind.

As a rule, Mining Bees are non-aggressive and their stingers are too fragile to sting humans. Much like Dewi, these bees do not want to fight.

Male Mining Bees are covered with shaggy patches of hair, which I thought would fit Dewi's signature fuzzy head.

Danny is enjoying his vacation. He’s surrounded by so many creatures who are delighted to show him around, and there’s a bunch that are even called ghosts! Those ones seem to have deemed him as their favorite person, which isn’t hard, but they have also apparently decided that they have to follow him everywhere, including all the way home. And to whatever world he takes his next vacation-slash job as Clockwork’s student at. 

Oh well, he’s sure it won’t be that noticeable.

The Patrol Playlist Disaster

Carapace has an official patrol playlist on Spotify.

It started out as a more private playlist he made for himself out of downloaded music he already had on his i-pod, the same one he would use for his DJ gigs on the weekends. He would take the time to listen to it whenever he was scheduled to patrol since it cured the boredom he had on the slower nights where nothing ever happened.

Over time though, Chat got curious about the playlist and Nino finally relented enough to share air pods with him so they could both listen to the playlist together as they patrolled. Which then led to Chat Noirs joking suggestion of "Why don't you just make a patrol playlist so we can share music with each other?"

And thus, with the help of a VPN and a freshly made set of google accounts, the official Miracle Court Spotify playlist was made.

It was never really a private playlist after that, since Chat and Carapace never bothered to make it private after they created their official Spotify hero accounts for it. The playlist grew around 4 sizes that night, mixed together into an amalgamation of R&B and modern pop from both boys.

And despite all the work the two put into the playlist and their new hero accounts, it stayed relatively hidden for a short while. They were able to enjoy listening to it, adding to it every once in awhile when they could and eventually share it with Alya after she discovered it existed while snooping around.

It was genuinely just an average playlist the three of them shared music on.

Up until their class had found it, that is.

Nino will never really be able to forget the absolute fear he, Alya and Adrien felt crawling up their spines when Marinette turned around to side eye the 3 of them after hearing Mylene excitedly talk about the accounts and the single playlist it shared in class.

After that the playlist was practically shared and streamed everywhere in Paris in over a week. News articles were buzzing about the heroes possibly continuing the trend of migrating to other hero social media accounts, there was even an official What are the Miracle Court listening to? twitter account in less then 24 hours.

Other teenagers were excited at the idea of Carapace sharing more playlists with the world since it was a mutual agreement between Parisians that the music taste they all had was really good. That one had made Nino flush a bit and Alya just shook her head at her boyfriends bashfulness.

Since Mari couldn't really do too much about the playlist anymore due to its popularity she just sighed and warned the 3 of them that the second this went wrong she wanted nothing to do with it. She eventually gave into the trend as well though, asking to be added on too.

The day Ladybug got her official Spotify account, the internet exploded.

Everyone was looking into her account to see what her additions were to the Patrol playlist and were surprised to find mostly heavy rock and smaller indie bands that didn't fit her heroine persona too much. When asked about it by Nadia Chamack, Ladybug only shrugged and reiterated that the word didn't know who she was outside the suit so they had no right to judge her taste.

From there the playlist was just the playlist and the world kept spinning around.

Nino and the gang kept adding to it, the twitter account watching what they were listening to kept reporting, and nothing else happened.

Or at least nothing ELSE was supposed to happen in the midst of their fun little side hobby.

Now that Nino was sat in his living room with his friends huddled together on his couch, Marinette pinching his side aggressively on one side while Alya seemed to vibrate lightly from excitement on the other end as Adrien clutched onto her free arm like a scared alley cat, the playlist wasn't a silly joke anymore.

And he could once again feel his fear crawling up his back as he and the others stared up at Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman who only looked back down at them curiously and concerned.

Or basically,

Nino and Adrien make a playlist for patrolling under their hero personas and forget that not just the people of Paris can see these things until Batman, WW & Superman show up trying to investigate the only links they have to the Parisian heroes that have been avoiding the JL for the past few months.

Once, a new Pixie intern accidentally ordered Blue-White paper with 97 Brightness instead of Cream-White paper with 98 Brightness. It sent the entire Pixies Corporation into an uproar, and they tried to take over Fairyworld as a result. Y'know. To ban Blue-White paper from existence.

It took weeks for Jorgen to resolve it all and bring the Pixies back in line. After that event, interns had to take a 2-course seminar on the differences of printer paper quality before being tasked to order more printer paper.
