screaming crying throwing up. gnawing my leg off as we speak
But in all seriousness like, the layers?
Soren being so sad and gazing almost with aversion from the mirror, whereas Callum is far more fixated and always standing closer to it.
The double meanings of "magic can change people" holding negative connotations, even though Soren doesn't clarify that it's definitely leaning more towards dark magic. And even while Soren is cautioning Callum because of his family ("You saw what Dad turned Kasef into, what - what Dad's turned into. Claudia, you're changing too") but also that Soren nearly let magic turn him into a literal monster just because he wanted to please his father, and refusing to do so was his breaking point in finding the strength to leave. Which nicely foreshadows the corrupted dark magic creatures and elves that Janai and Amaya mention in S5 ("The corruption of the Sun Orb infected innocent creatures and changed them").
And Soren being the only one at the castle left who really knew any other mages that well and being worried that Callum could be like them of his own accord. Even if I don't think Soren has to worry so much about Callum changing (and caring less about his loved ones) the way Viren did, or caring too much quite the way Claudia did - but something brutally, beautifully, still horribly in between
#katolis boys#tdp soren#snake boi callum#4x04#s4#text post#mine#arc 2#analysis series#even the way callum softens and nods a lil bit#he's not offended he knows where soren's coming from#he takes it to heart even if he doesn't probably really think it applies#Yet anyway#like soren having an iota of this concern at all?? that magic COULD Change callum#the way it changed viren & claudia? speaks volumes tbh

Can yall stop calling straight trans men gay its fucking weird
Dude it was just a joke chill.
And as a trans person myself I was kind of referring to him as “gay” more as in “queer”. I mean, I guess I can see where you’re coming from? I understand that can feel invalidating to straight trans ppl by reducing their identities to such a label that might arguably not even be fitting. But still. It’s not that common for technically non-gay LGBT+ identifying ppl to get that offended by being referred as such. A lot of ppl actually think it’s totally fine and sometimes even prefer it. Overtime, the label has become more nuanced and versatile in its applicability. And, given that he’s a fictional character and we can’t actually ask him, I’m sure his feelings aren’t going to get hurt if I off handedly refer to him as gay once.
I was thinking of actually switching his and Soren’s place in the image initially but I decided against it it in the end. Because, with all due respect towards Terry and as much as I love him, Soren does give off way more big dick energy than him.
Also, and I mean this genuinely, I was never sure if he was meant to actually be straight. I mean, it’s totally cool if he is, but I don’t know, I always kind of headcanoned him to be bi or pans.
But Jesus Christ, it doesn’t even matter lol. Idk why I’m wasting my time talking down to you and explaining a really low effort joke I made. I wasn’t thinking of the logistics at the time cuz I didn’t think I’d need to.
I just opened my inbox and allowed anon asks and honestly you’re making me reconsider that decision. I probably won’t close it, but still. Sucks that the first ask I ever gotten was just someone complaining.
Anyways, go vent about your grievances with what terminology we use for queer presenting people and characters somewhere else, not with some random user online who made a small post under 10 minutes that was very poorly edited. If you want to have a more serious discussion about stuff like that, you won’t find it by whining over some meme.

The Dragon Prince Book Four: Earth (Mystery of Aaravos) - A critique
Introduction
First off, this post is going to contain spoilers. Don’t read this if you haven’t seen all of Book Four yet.
So I recently got done watching Book Four with my partner. I binged my way through books 1-3 after she told me she wished she had someone to appreciate the new season with, and I bought into the world of The Dragon Prince with a great deal of eagerness. I love the world they’ve set up and that’s why I felt so let down by Book Four. I wanted to write this post to explain some of my feelings on some of the odd choices I feel were made and point out how I feel the show’s potential could have been better used.
The Critique
So this isn’t an exhaustive list of the issues I had with the show, but I’ve broken it into categories to highlight the key issues I had with it.
SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT FORWARD
Pacing and Tone
This was possibly the biggest deal breaker for me - Every character seemed to get the bad end of the gag character stick at least once this season, often at times where it felt out of place or tone deaf. The Great Gate guards were just awkward comic relief from the outset, whilst Terry and The Being often were relegated to being the butt of the joke when Claudia and Viren needed some screen time that wasn’t about the mission (more on that later). Soren’s stupidity continues to be an amusing gag, although it felt overplayed. The biggest offenders though were the questionable (and occasionally downright absurd) scene interjections in “Rex Igneous” and “Escape from Umber Tor”. Cutting from tense Dragon negotiations to Janai and Amaya making smalltalk was jarring, and some of the beats had me actively cringing when they were injected into what was supposed to be a dramatic scene (Sludge Tarts and Soren’s foot smell to name but a handful).
At the opposite end of the spectrum - “Rebirthday”, “Fallen Stars” and “Breathtaking” all felt like they could have been condensed into two episodes. The awkward diplomacy between Zubeia and the Kingdom of Katolis could have been summed up in a few scenes rather than being dragged out, leaving us more time to deal with the show’s resolution, which felt like it was rushing to get all the beats wrapped up.
There are really far too many things I could list here, so I’ll just summarise: For most of the season, I felt myself getting tonal whiplash and being hurried along on a rollercoaster that couldn’t decide what story it wanted to tell in that particular episode, which is a real danger when you have so many subplots and not enough focus.
Terry: Wasted on the Bad Guys
Oh boy, where to start on this one. From his introduction in “Rebirthday”, right up until the ending scenes of “Beneath the Surface”, I found myself questioning why Terry was within a hundred miles of Claudia. A life-loving, caring Earthblood that was seemingly OK with Claudia’s dark magic, dubious obsession with resurrection, and the creepy chrysalis on her cave-bedroom wall. From a storytelling point Terry is clearly there to humanise the villains, but it feels unnecessary. We know Claudia and Viren’s motivations and failings, it’s been illustrated throughout Books 1 and 2, so rehashing it through Terry feels weird and against everything we’ve been taught about Elf culture.
To me, it would have made sense for Terry to be the one who was Team Zym’s guide into the Pit and Path of Despair (as N’than already feels shoehorned and serves pretty much the same purpose), only to be kidnapped for the villains before the conversation with Rex Igneous and highlight what Claudia and Viren are going through. Having Terry see the compassion still in Claudia and appeal to her better nature through Viren would have been so much more impactful if he hadn’t been OK with all the dark magic and murder up to this point.
There’s also the introduction of Terry as the first visible trans character in TDP, which the more I think about the less happy I am about its execution. His coming out to Viren in “Beneath the Surface” feels like we’re supposed to take this reveal as part of an explanation as to why he’s so determined to support Claudia - because he knows how it feels to be treated as different? Which feels like a weird justification, and gets a little lost in the moment because it immediately is overwritten by a gag moment and the rush to save Claudia. It feels like a disservice to what should have been a momentous character moment, and again feels like it should have been something that was played with Callum, Rayla and Ez to riff off of.
Mystery of (what the hell) Aaravos (actually did this season?)
So when I saw that Season 4 would be titled “Mystery of Aaravos” I was very pumped. Aaravos is quite possibly one of the most interesting characters in TDP, and I was hoping this would be the season we got to see him flex his arcane muscles, especially when we saw him hop inside Callum’s head during “Through the Looking Glass”. Instead we were treated to… glorious nothing. Aaravos is suspiciously absent for comment, even to Claudia and Viren whose primary efforts are in rescuing him. Despite the display of power at the start of the season, he has little to no influence or contribution, when it feels like he should be the one reaching out to manipulate Claudia and Viren through each other.
This links somewhat into the “out-of-place” role as comic relief for Terry and The Being, as well as taking Terry out of the Bad Guy party - Imagine what we could have seen if The Being had been puppeted by Aaravos on occasion to egg on Claudia and psych out Viren, rather than Terry trying to sympathise with them and The Being just being a wordless Gollum. Rather than Claudia finding a “boyfriend” in Terry, what if Aaravos had been providing the praise and recognition she craves from her absent father figure. Celebrating her accomplishments where Viren is horrified. Gaslighting Viren whenever Claudia’s back was turned, telling him how much his daughter is relying on him for all this, that he is to blame. Show our villains for what they are - powerful, yet disposable tools to Aaravos.
The Future of Lux Aurea - A victim of sub-plot slaughter
The Janai/Prince Karim conflict is one of the best parts of Book Four, but it’s tragically butchered by being a B-Plot. The motivation behind Lucia extinguishing the flame is flimsy, and would have been more convincing if we’d seen any evidence of cultural conflict before this point. I mean, these people have been living and travelling together for almost two years at this point - a single other instance of racial/cultural conflict being mentioned or shown would have made much more sense to promote Karim’s reaction. To add insult to injury we watch Amaya, a character who is not only deeply in love with Janai but has also been shown to be compassionate and understanding of conflict and tensions, actively mocking a serious situation which just felt WRONG. It just feels like they were struggling for reasons to push a conflict in this substory, when they knew that Prince Karim was using this for his own reasons anyway and could have kept him as the primary antagonist to begin with.
Additionally - this plot needed to be given a handful of its own focal episodes. Trying to have a bunch of conversations about romance and duty juxtaposed against Team Zym trying not to get massacred by an enormous dragon detracted from both plots, and would have been better served by being kept apart save for the final conflict. It was a good plot thread to show how far the Sunfire Elves have come, but suffered for all of the above.
Rex Igneous and the Sequence of Rushed Plot Contrivances
This was the most egregious series of missteps that had me and my partner angrily jabbing fingers at the screen. The whole sequence with Team Zym approaching Rex following the events of “The Great Gates” is a series of plot contrivances that forces the party to muddle about in ways that don’t really make sense. It feels forced that the rockslide prevents them from going in with Zubeya (could we not have had some Dragon Etiquette reasons instead?), the Drakeriders are a one-note baddie that don’t really serve any purpose other than to give Soren an excuse to bump into Claudia, and the Path of Despair offers some Faux-Peril that whilst aesthetically very pretty is a self contained plot device that is over in less than an episode and is subsequently glossed over when Claudia and Viren need to catch back up. The conversation with Rex Igneous feels like they wanted to avoid a trope about Dragons and hoards and unintentionally just played right into it, and the entire final antagonism between Team Zym and Claudia just felt arbitrary (Why was Zym unaffected? Why did Rayla fall for this trick again when we know she’s aware of how it works?). This is followed by a very weird sequence with Rayla & Claudia over the Soul Coins: Why does Rayla give up her chase after being tricked? Why is THIS the one thing that Terry draws the line at? Why the hell does Claudia turn around to give them back?
It feels like this entire sequence is rushed and simultaneously is grasping to find conflict. Bait “heroically throwing his weight” onto opening the door feels forced to fit with Soren’s comedic bit, only for them to be Deus-Ex-Machina’d by Zubeia anyway (why not just have the cool dragon confrontation be the reason they’re saved rather than the weird moment with the Glow Toad). How did Rayla get to the surface at the same time as the heroes to be trapped in the rubble, when she clearly left the lava chamber AFTER Rex Igneous? It’s just too many contrivances and nonsensical beats that leaves the ending feeling disjointed and a bad taste in my mouth.
Conclusion
I love TDP. It’s such a great world, like Avatar meets fantasy world politics, and I’m actually taking large amounts of inspiration from it for my next D&D campaign. Which is why it hurts so much that Book Four falls short of its promise.
I hope that Book Five realises the mistakes it made and adapts the storytelling to better serve the pacing they perfected in the earlier books. Bring us more of the Katolis/Xadia & Magic/Non-Magic politics that made the downtime of the other series so compelling. Don’t fall into the gag character trap. Let Aaravos and his puppets return to being the ominous dark threat of the series, rather than trying to rebuild the sympathy for their motives.
This has been a rant from a fan. Thanks for listening.

YouTube AU with rayllum 👀 anything goes! Maybe them doing a live stream of them playing a game and it gets a little heated? Like I said, just do what comes to mind!
Rayla regained consciousness before Callum did, awakening to the taste of the microphone on her headset.
"Callum," she said into it once she'd reoriented it.
Callum awoke with a snort looking around his room before his eyes settled on the screen in front of him.
"Did we make it?" he asked.
Rayla rolled backwards on her seat, grabbing the digital clock from her night stand (her phone was God knows where).
"It's three am here," she said, replacing the clock and rolling back to her computer, "so no, we didn't break the record. What's your time stateside?"
Callum fished in his pockets before remembering his phone was by his elbow.
"Seven PM," he said, "I thought the Spider-Man game would keep us awake."
"Not everyone gets excited to watch twenty-year old Brit Tom Holland act like he's twelve and American," Rayla laughed.
"Well, it wasn't Tom Holland this time, so the argument doesn't work."
"Well, regardless, it was a fun game," Rayla said, leaning her cheek into her hand.
Callum's face on the screen got a syrupy soft look, the kind she had been surprised to learn hadn't hooked him a girlfriend yet.
"Yeah; best game ever."
"You said that about that one Metroid Game," she said.
"And you said it in your video when you were playing Shadow the Hedgehog." "Only ironically," Rayla laughed, "it was like Bum Reviews. Where I heap praise on a movie nobody likes."
"Fair enough," Callum said, turning his head to look at something to the left of him. Rayla snorted, trying to hold back a laugh.
"What is it?"
"You've... you've got a Cheeto stuck to your cheek," she said, "I don't know how I didn't see it before."
For a moment, Callum reached up to gingerly touch his cheek, before removing the offending snack food.
"Huh, wondering where that got to," she said, smile returning.
"You're not going to eat it are you?" Rayla said, "Americans diets can't be that bad."
"You should see what we can do with potatoes," Callum said, flicking the Cheeto away.
"That might work if I was Irish; I happen to be Scottish."
"Duly noted," Callum said.
Five minutes. Five minutes of comfortable silence between them lingered over the airwaves, even though no-one was really watching their stream, their attempt to break the record of longest stream ever forgotten. Just the two of them looking at each other through a screen.
"So," Callum said, "about next weekend? What do you think?"
"About coming to visit you?" Rayla asked. She'd never tell him, but those puppy dog eyes were certainly a factor in tipping her decision a certain way.
"If I told you 'yes', would you promise not to ask anything related to the Loch Ness Monster?"
Callum beamed at her through the screen and did her heart just skip a beat?
"I make no promises about Soren, but you won't hear anything about it from me!"
Anyone want to send me Rayllum/TDP prompts?

Nunky! (Modern!Ivar x reader - Modern!Ivar x OCs niece and nephew)
A/N: This is my entry to @flowers-in-your-hayr 650 Followers Celebration 🎉 Congrats again, love 🌸 And thanks for this amazing moodboard 😍
I'm awfully late, sorry about that. The truth is, do you know what it is to struggle? Let me tell you: there were three other drafts before this final version. More than 4000 words... All trashed...
Anyway, I'm quite happy with this one, that's all that matters.
@geekandbooknerd, thanks for beta reading this for me 🌺
Let me know if you want to be tagged 😊
Divider by @firefly-graphics
Summary: Ever wonder what kind of uncle Ivar would be? Let me show you 😉
Warnings: fluff, fluff, fluff 🙈
Words: 1978
"We're going to play Pete the Cat or Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game, you in?" He shouts at you from the deck.
Lazily lying on a sunbed in the shade of an oak, you don't bother opening your eyes. As much as you love board games, there's no way you're leaving this perfect spot. Not yet, and certainly not for the next two hours.
"No, I'm good." You shake your head for emphasis, even if you're not sure he can see you.
"Okay lovebug, see you later," he says tenderly before changing his tone, "All right kiddos, get ready to lose!"
You let out a chuckle as Viola and Soren, feeling offended, express loudly their discontent. And you can't help but laugh. You know he's going to let them win anyway. He may be a sore loser who hates to lose and would do anything to win, whether in business or in a game, but things are different when it comes to his niece and nephew. That's just how much he loves them.
Your multi-faceted lover…
To the world, he is Ivar Ragnarsson, the crippled son – and true heir – of the mighty Ragnar Lothbrok, and, till last year – till you – Scandinavia's richest and most eligible bachelor, and all this in spite of his legs.
To his employees and business partners, he's an arrogant, cranky, demanding, cold-hearted, smart as hell, and very successful business tycoon. Oh, if they could see him right now, they wouldn't believe their eyes. No dress shirt, no suit pants, no blazer. With a backwards baseball cap, a basic black tee-shirt and stonewashed jeans, he looks more like a boy than a crafty businessman.
To you, he's the man you've been in love with for eight months; a complex human being, for sure, full of contradictions: so self-confident and yet in some ways so self-conscious; outwardly tough but at times so incredibly vulnerable. You won't lie, he can be infuriating; he's stubborn, strong-headed and short tempered. But he's awfully clever, deadpan and… well... devastatingly handsome, with his impossibly beautiful features and his otherworldly icy blue eyes. He's a fantastic lover too, unexpectedly caring and attentive, loyal and faithful.
To Viola and Soren, his favorite brother's children, he's Uncle Ivar – or Nunky, as Viola calls him – the best uncle ever, funny and mischievous, loving and supportive. He's always ready to go out of his way to teach them all the cool stuff kids are supposed to know; silly jokes, riddles and magic tricks. He's their favorite babysitter, the one who is completely devoted to them, the one who feeds them ice cream and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, before reminding them conspiratorially, with a finger on his lips: "You know the deal, sweet peas! Not a word to your mom."
You remember as if it were yesterday your first meeting with them.
Soren, chocolate all over his face, greets you with a big smile, immediately asking you if you want to play hide-and-seek with them. On the other hand, Viola looks at you from head to toe, scrutinizing you intensely. With her lips pursed and her brows creased, she doesn't seem very pleased, to say the least. The seconds tick by and finally, placing her tiny hands on her hips, the little girl takes a deep breath. "I don't want to play with her. I don't like her." The hostility in her tone can't be missed.
Speechless, you look at Viola with wide open eyes. You usually have a way with kids and are honestly a little stunned by such an unfriendly welcome.
"Viola, please…" Ivar grumbles, rolling his eyes, but he doesn't have time to say another word. "No, Nunky! You told me she was your lover!" Ah, now you're beginning to see her problem, and it brings a small smile on your lips.
Viola points an accusing finger towards you. "Are you Nunky's lover?"
You nod playfully but Viola doesn't seem the least bit amused. "That's why I don't like you. And just so you know, you may be Nunky's lover now, but I'm going to marry him. I just have to wait a little," she frowns, thoroughly concentrated, "I need to be a little older, maybe like… that," she stretches out the fingers of both hands in front of her, "but Nunky is going to marry me. Me, not you. So, you might as well leave right now."
You struggle to hold back your laughter, aware that this is a very serious matter for her.
"Come here, baby girl." Rubbing a hand over his face, Ivar pats his knees and then helps his niece as she climbs onto his lap. "We've talked about this, little bird, remember? We're not getting married, not in ten years, not ever." He speaks so softly, and there's so much love in his eyes, you feel like you're melting.
"But, I lo–" Viola interjects with a pout, but Ivar stops her, shaking his head. "There's no buts, baby love. Uncles do not marry nieces. That's the way it is and that's how it must be. And yes," he looks at you fondly, "Y/N is my lover. But it doesn't change anything. I'm not going anywhere, Viola. I'll always be in your life. I love you." He gently ruffles Soren's hair. "I love you both. You have no idea how much I love you."
You must have dozed off and are awakened by Viola high-pitched squeals of joy. "Oh yeah, let's go into the backyard." Hmph! Looks like you're going to have company. Bye bye peacefulness.
Well, so be it.
Yawning, you stretch like a cat before sitting up. Ivar and the kids are on the deck and you wave at them. Soren casts you a broad smile and takes two steps towards the backyard but Viola stops him.
"Wait, Soren! Nunky," you don't need to see her to know that she's blinking her big, beautiful blue eyes at Ivar, "please, we are tired. Right Soren?"
Viola's brother nods tentatively as Ivar bursts out laughing. "Is that so, munchkin?" Putting on a thinking face, he stares blanky up in the air for a second or two, tapping a forefinger on his chin. "Let me guess, you want a ride, baby girl? Soren, buddy boy, would you mind fetching the princess's carriage for me, please?"
At this point, you know exactly what is going to happen, yet it never ceases to amaze you. And as sure as the sun rises from the east, the next moment Soren is pushing a wheelchair in front of him, coming to a halt next to his uncle. Ivar immediately sits down, slipping his crutch into the intended holder attached to the backrest.
Reaching out, he now gently grabs Viola's wrist. "Your carriage awaits, princess." The little girl climbs very carefully onto his lap before wrapping her chubby arms around his neck.
Ivar pulls her closer, "Hold tight, princess!" and as soon as he's sure she's securely seated, he grabs his push rims and pops a wheelie, Viola bursting with laughter. He then looks at Soren, cracking him a smile. "I'll give you a ride too, bumblebee, stay put."
Soren, older than Viola and always overprotective when it comes to his beloved uncle, frowns, concern all over his boyish face. "You sure I'm not too heavy now? I'm over fifty-five pounds, you know?"
Ivar laughs, an easy smile on his plump lips. "Don't worry, I'll be just fine." A smile tugging up the corner of his mouth and Viola giggling on his lap, he rolls towards the wide wooden ramp leading to the backyard.
Ivar hates using his wheelchair. He despises it. He's very secretive about it. The truth is, it took him two months to tell you that he sometimes needed one and another two months to actually use it in front of you.
He hates it so much that he would rather crawl than use it. Actually, that's what he does every night, after taking off his leg braces.
Yet, he keeps his old wheelchair here, at his brother's house. For recreational purposes only; or in other words for Viola's and Soren's enjoyment. And he gives them rides, up and down the ramp, sometimes for hours, popping wheelies here and there. Because Viola and Soren love that and it makes them laugh. Because he would do everything and anything to make them happy.
That's just how much he loves them.
Ivar pulls a sunbed next to you and flops down on it, stifling a hiss of pain. "Where are the kids?" Raising yourself up on one elbow, you kiss him, your free hand gently stroking the tight muscles of his right thigh.
Rubbing his eyes tiredly, he kisses you back. "Gathering the things they want to take to the beach."
You want to give him a disapproving look, but you won't. You know better. You know him.
He shouldn't go to the beach. Not today. He woke up in pain this morning. Walking in the sand is a struggle even on good days. He'll pay for it later. You know he knows it. And you know he'll do it no matter what, and whatever it takes.
Because that, he can do.
Sometimes, you catch a hint of sadness in his eyes. When Soren and Viola are running and he can't run after them, because running is simply not an option for him. When they are jumping on the trampoline and he can't join them, because it would end with broken bones. When they are playing football, or riding a bike, or skating. When they are tree climbing, or playing gunny sack race, or rock climbing, or playing hopscotch, or skipping rope, or dancing, or…
But walking in the sand, even if not easy, that, he can do.
He's going to struggle all the way – wincing, hissing, silently swearing, even dragging his right leg with his hand if necessary – until they reach their favorite spot, a small cove shielded from the wind, with marvelous pebbles and smooth sand. And he will sit for hours, his legs aching, making sandcastles even though, even as a child, he didn't like that. Because it doesn't matter. Because Soren and Viola matter. And the sparkle in their eyes will bring a smile to his face. Their laughter will make it all worthwhile.
Yeah, this is what he's going to do, for Soren's and Viola's happiness. And you know there's nothing you can say or do that is going to change his mind.
That's just how much he loves them.
⚔️"What are you thinking about, love?" Ivar's soft voice pulls you out of your thoughts as he wraps his arm around your shoulders.
"I was thinking what a fantastic uncle you are." You reply genuinely, your thumb grazing his cheek. "And what a fantastic father you will be one day. The father of our kids."
Ivar blinks several times. You know that no matter how many times you tell him, he still finds it hard to believe that you want to make a life with him; marry him; carry his children.
"This…" His voice trembles and he lowers his gaze, "this is really what you want?"
"Of course, it is, my love." You reassure him for the thousandth time, peppering his jaw with light kisses. "Negotiations with Viola will doubtless be tough, though…" You chuckle, your fingers threading through his hair as he nods. "But let me tell you a secret," you can feel his hot breath on your ear, "you've already won, love." He offers you a breathtaking, mind-blowing smile and then his mouth finds yours and he kisses you and it feels like you're alone in the world, nothing matters but your shared love, nothing exists but him, nothing counts anymore, nothing, nothing, nothing...
"NUNKYYYYY!!!!"
Well… You may have spoken too soon…

Okay so I had a small idea hit me this morning. So we all are about 95% sure that we’re getting Cody in the Kenobi series and most of us are pretty sure he’s gonna be in an antagonistic role. Which I’m good with. But what if between RotS and Kenobi, he somehow overcomes his chip. Wolffe and Gregor did it. Why couldn’t Cody?? But he stays in the Empire because how the heck else is he supposed to try to help his brothers and maybe strike a covert blow for good every once in a while. A man on the inside.
So a few years pass and the Empire is rounding up Force sensitive kids to either kill them if they’re too potentially powerful or turn them into assassins, Inquisitors, etc. Cody is placed in control of five of these kids for combat training. Becuase naturally. And he trains the ever loving heck out of these kids.
And he loves them. He softens the terror of the Dark Side that their other instructors instill in them and tells them about his old General. Every sting of Dark Side corruption that is leveled at the kids, he manages to soothe away and soften. It kills him a little inside when his five little ones come to him for training with burn scars from electric prods and bruises where they’ve been slapped or punched for mouthing off. He never fails to reassure them that it’s not their fault but that they must guard their tongues and thoughts. Always keep vigilant, always protect yourself. You’re better than this and you will be free one day. One day. Cody never mentions that that day will probably the last time they’ll be together.
They’re able to use the Dark Side but do not surrender to it, enough to the point that they’re more like Mace Windu, channeling the power but refusing the consuming plunge. They learn to shield their emotions like Palpatine did, disguising themselves in the Dark Side just enough to never trigger Vader’s feelers. Cody has to be careful that doesn’t let his affection be too visible but the kids know it and they all call him “Dad” when it’s just them.
Much like his brothers, Cody encouraged the kids to name themselves and lets them explore their own individuality as much as they safely can. The kids grow and are known as one of many teams to send in when there’s a serious target to be taken down. Most of the time, they’re utilized to take down old, entrenched Sep forces and they do such a stellar job that everyone begins idolizing them. They spend loads of time training, meditating and keeping fit when they’re not in the field, which isn’t terribly often. Which is how Cody likes it because they’re his babies. They all get matching tattoos like Cody’s scar. They all wear gold accented armor and carry yellow lightsabers in Cody’s honor as well. They call themselves “Sunshine Squad” in private.
The bond between them in the Force is almost symbiotic, to the point that they can marshal their abilities together to overpower an enemy that might otherwise kill any one of them alone. They echo the Clones heavily in that alone they can be easily overwhelmed but together, they can be a wall.
So one day Cody comes to them with a mission from himself, a defensive mission rather than an offensive one. Another team is being sent to Tatooine on the possible trail of a Jedi. Cody thinks he knows who it is and he can’t just sit by and watch this happen. So he sends his babies and makes sure they know that Kenobi will probably either be horribly difficult to find or he’ll attack them outright with everything he’s got. (See Uutapau?!) The kids leave; they’re grown but that’s how Cody thinks of them collectively. He silently prays that the General won’t overreact and kill one of them.
Kenobi does indeed rush them in “hello there” style and the kids are just trying not to die while also trying to convince him to chill his paranoid butt all the way down and listen. The eldest, a young woman who actually resembles Cody, finally pulls everybody together and collectively, they Force lift and restrain Kenobi long enough to keep him from killing any of them. He’d dropped his lightsaber in the fight and she scoops it up. She marches right up to him and just smacks him in the chest with it. “Now,” she pants, “are you dead?”
Kenobi just sort of stares at her.
“What?”
“Did I just kill you?” she demands solidly, eyes boring into Kenobi’s.
“No...” he answers cautiously. “If I could’ve just now, wonder why I didn’t.” She continues in a slow, methodical conversation to get Kenobi to arrive at the conclusion on his own rather than hand it to him. Cody encouraged her to do this should a confrontation arise.
“Uh... you don’t want to?” he finally guesses.
The woman patiently nods. “That’s right. Now take this blasted thing before you lose it again.” And everyone slowly lowers Kenobi to his feet. He begins sensing something familiar and not unwelcome. He can’t place a finger on what he’s feeling, like it’s a smell from childhood that evokes a pleasant but unclear memory. And then he sees it. His old friend, the Clone Commander in gold, is literally stamped on each of these people, in the way they talk because they’ve all picked up Cody’s accent, the way they stand and especially the way they fought. One of them tackled him in the one-sided fight; it was like being hit by a gundark. Another had performed a truly beautiful kick to defend herself from his lightsaber, knocking it out of his hand. And the same person had returned it.
“You’re not Sith,” he ventures, still holding his lightsaber in a ready defense pose.
“Search your feelings,” one of the younger ones responds. “We didn’t even raise our sabers to you. If we were Sith, aggression would be our leading edge, don’t you think?”
“Who are you?” Kenobi asks, almost daring not to hope.
The whole group smiles at each other and replies in perfect unison: “Sunshine Squad. Captain Cody sends his regards.”
The woman introduces herself as Gaia, then there’s the twins: Soren and Rex (he chose his name when he asked Cody who his favorite brother was). The other girl is Kali and the youngest is Shriek.
The leader clears her throat. “General, you’re in danger and we need to get somewhere secure before the real strike team lands. We have an hour at the most, sir.” And Obi-Wan hears Cody that time. It might as well have been the man standing right there.
So, he takes them to his little hut. And they all just stop dead about 100 yards away and a chorus of “This is not secure” shaded comments.
“Well, I’ve always managed to defend it when I needed to,” Obi-Wan says, a little offended. He receives five polite but firm looks that are all basically this. 👇🏻
If y’all want more, I have more in my head. But this post is big enough.

jealous Callum fic was on point. you should write one where because Callum and Ezran are really the only humans she's known and interacted with she's talking with another human boy on a trip her and Callum take back to Katolis and Callum is feeling just a little protective of his beautiful elf gf and he doesn't like the thought of her getting so chummy with another human who clearly also sees her beauty. just person A who is insanley smart but also oblivious and jealous person B is my crack
He was back again. Callum frowned as he watched the human teen talk enthusiastically with Rayla. Ever since Zym was returned and peace was restored between the human kingdoms and Xadia, more and more people became curious about Elves and vice versa.
There would be times where Rayla was often approached as an object of interest and curiosity for being one of the head ambassadors and main spokesmen for peace between the nations.
Unfortunately, this was one of those times, and with a repeat offender.
He should’ve known this would happen. Rayla was pretty. Even if others saw her as an elf, she was still beautiful as hell. Callum loved to tell her every day she was beautiful, to which she would flush and shove him in embarrassment.
But this guy... he knew it wasn’t the appeal of Rayla being an elf was what had him coming back--it was because he, too, saw Rayla as beautiful.
And Callum hated it.
Ezran watched Callum gritting his teeth and clenching his fists with a smirk. He tapped Soren’s leg, who immediately gave him his attention, and gestured to Callum. Soren grinned.
“Didn’t think you were the type to watch your girlfriend get swept away, Noble Prince.” Soren teased. Ezran snickered. Callum made a face at them.
“She’s allowed to make friends.” Callum said.
“Somehow I don’t think friendship is what that human has in mind.” Soren countered. This made Callum’s fists clench harder. Would he get in trouble if he shot a fulminus at a human if Ezran was king? “I’ve been noticing elves are becoming more of a fetish among humans.” Soren added casually.
Callum reallyyyyyyyyyy contemplated shooting a fulminus at the boy.
Soren and Ezran gave him a nudge.
“It’s fine. Just don’t maim him. I can’t show favoritism to my brother after all.” Ezran encouraged.
“It’s fine. I’ll break him out of jail and let him go into exile. I’m sure Rayla would help and run away with him.” Soren commented with a grin.
Callum sighed and made his way over to Rayla and the boy. He was obviously flirting, but to Rayla, she took it as him being cocky and silly like Soren. Rayla didn’t take cocky flirting seriously. She more enjoyed Callum’s sincerity and his shy jokes.
“Oh, Callum! There you are!” Rayla greeted, immediately kissing Callum on the cheek. Callum resisted the urge to smirk when the human boy appeared peeved. “I was talking with Amos again! You humans really are funny! Elves a lot of the time are more serious!”
“I thought I was the funniest human.” Callum pouted. Rayla smirked.
“Of course yer the funniest. You’re MY human. I pick the best ones!” Rayla said proudly. Callum saw his chance.
“Then you’re mine as well.” Callum smiled, kissing her gently on the lips. Rayla blushed severely, immediately charmed by Callum’s sweetness.
“Oh jeeze, Callum! Stop! You know that stuff makes me flustered!” Rayla covered her face with her hands. Callum laughed, gently removing her hands from her face. She was so beautiful.
“Um...” Amos spoke. Rayla jumped, out of her trance.
“Right! Sorry, Amos! But I’m supposed to be on a date with Callum later. Maybe another time?” Rayla suggested.
‘Or never’ Callum thought smugly when he saw Amos’ disappointed face.
“Sure, Rayla. No problem.” Amos gave a glare to Callum before leaving. Rayla blinked.
“Why was he glaring at you?” Rayla asked. Callum laughed, shaking his head. He squeezed her hands affectionately before bringing her hands to his lips.
“I don’t know. Maybe he doesn’t like thieves?” Callum said. Rayla scoffed.
“You’re a prince, not a thief!” Rayla rolled her eyes.
“You’re right.” Callum’s eyes gleamed. “I can’t steal what’s already been mine.”

HA: Ch. 3 The Meeting
Chapter summary: Heather is called by Zubeia to bring Aaravos to a meeting. While waiting to be invited up to her chamber, Heather catches up with an old acquaintance.
Prologue, Pt. 1, Pt. 2, Pt. 3 , Pt. 4, Pt. 5, Pt. 6 , Pt. 7, Pt. 8, Pt. 9, Pt. 10, Pt. 11, Pt. 12, Pt. 13, Pt. 14, Pt. 15
Note: The idea of the ‘primal steed’ is based on Aaravos’ mount in S3E6
Heather walked out of her en-suite bathroom, plaiting her hair as the first few rays of sunlight peeked over the horizon. She looked over at the caterpillar as it sat on her bed.
“Morning, Sparkles,” she greeted, running her hands over her clean Dragonguard uniform.
The caterpillar eyed her for a moment before coming closer to her. “What is happening today?” Aaravos asked.
Heather raised a brow. “I’m sure Zubeia has a meeting with King Ezran of Katolis today,” she said, turning to the mirror on her wall as she put on her horn cuffs and earrings. “To talk to him about travelling to the Human Kingdoms—probably to release you from the mirror and to form a treaty between the royalty of each kingdom.” She turned to the caterpillar once she was ready.
“But for now we have to get to the Spire so she can talk to you about my, uh... training,” She held out her arms. “C’mon up.”
The caterpillar climbed up onto her arms and sat on her shoulder, wrapping some of its body around her torso to steady itself.
“Strangle me and I’ll kill you,” Heather threatened, looking the caterpillar in the eye.
“I would never,” Aaravos falsely gasped, sounding offended.
Heather smiled to herself before grabbing her bowblade and leaving her dorm.
As she turned the key in the door to lock it, she heard someone else leave their room down the hall. She turned to see who it was.
Her heart sank when she saw the firm-built, broad-shoulders, dirty blond hair and hunter-green facial scales and scaled wings of her father. He glanced at her, clenched his jaw, and walked away from his apartment door—one of the few in the barracks.
Heather watched silently as he walked away, forcing back her sorrow.
“You seem sad that he has not paid attention to you,” Aaravos started. “Who is he?”
Heather swallowed the lump in her throat. “That’s... That’s Scorchmark, he’s the Secretary of Defense.”
“So he’s your superior?” The caterpillar looked at Heather to him. “Why are you so... dejected?”
“He... He’s my father... adopted father.” The caterpillar looked back at her, wanting more of an explanation. “He’s disowned me since... my accident.”
“You’ve been all alone since then? With Khonsu abandoning you and your father doing the same... You really don’t have many people in your life, do you?”
Heather whipped her head around to glare at the caterpillar. “Are you going to teach me how to make friends as well as the arcana?” She asked cynically.
The caterpillar seemed to frown at her. “I have a feeling you have a very troubled past... or maybe just a cruel past. Either way, I see much darkness in your mind.”
“Get. Out. Of my. Head,” Heather seethed, flashing her sharp, white canines.
“I’m not in your head, you’re just terrible at hiding your emotions... also what do you think I did while the caterpillar was asleep.”
*-*-*-*
Heather looked down at her right blade, gently shaking it in her hand. She could feel the steel inside the handle move around loosely. She wasn’t too sure about how she had broken the blade, all she knew was that it was damaged and the blade would soon be useless to her, along with its bow form.
She sighed, looking up at the Storm Spire as the sun shone on her back and the caterpillar on her shoulder.
“Can you get it repaired?” Aaravos asked, noticing the jingling in the handle.
“I think so, I just need to travel to my least favourite place in Xadia to get it done.”
“Is that where the artisan lives?”
Heather sighed sadly and nodded. “Yeah.” She paused. “It’s not that I dislike him, I just dislike the other people who live in the village... all of them.”
“Care to elaborate?”
“Moonshadow Elves,” she seethed.
“Then what about Khonsu?”
“Khonsu is—was different. He saw me as a living being, not something strange to make fun of. But now... I don’t know how he sees me.”
“To others you were ‘something strange to make fun of’?” Aaravos questioned.
“More than that; my life was a living nightmare for seven years.”
“Heather? Is that you?” Called a voice with an unmistakable Moonshadow elf accent.
Rayla, Heather thought with a sigh. Aaravos heard the thought, already putting the pieces together.
Heather drew in a quiet breath and put on her best fake smile.
“Rayla? Its great to see you again,” she lied, turning to face her. She was disappointed to see that she was still shorter than her, even if Rayla was older than her.
Rayla seemed to be genuinely glad to see her, which both surprised and angered Heather. “Gosh, how long as it been? About... Three? four years?”
Heather nodded, still holding her smile. “Yeah about that.” And they’ve been the best four years of my life, she wanted to add.
The caterpillar slowly turned its head to face Rayla, chattering its beak at her; Aaravos had heard her thoughts.
Rayla took a step back. “Why do you have that?” She asked, her discomfort clear in her tone and expression.
Heather glanced at the caterpillar with a calm expression. “Oh, him? He’s under my protection for the time being.” She shrugged. Rayla’s expression worsened.
“Riiight,” she glanced aside. “Oh, here are Callum and Ezran.”
Heather turned to where Rayla was looking. Moving towards them were three humans; a tall, pale-skinned blond one donned in armour; a shorter brunet one; and an even shorter dark-skinned one carrying a yellow and turquoise glow toad.
Heather had seen them all briefly before; the shortest was King Ezran of Katolis; the older one was Prince Callum, a human who knew the sky arcanum; and Soren one of Katolis’ top soldiers—according to Janai.
As they for close Heather bowed to King Ezran. “It’s an honour to meet you, Your Majesty.”
King Ezran raised his hand to contradict her when he saw something come closer behind her. “Is that... a unicorn?” He tilted his head to the side. “Callum! Look!”
They all turned to where Ezran was pointing. Trotting towards them was a white unicorn with a tall spiralling horn, a long mane, a narrow tail with a poof of hair at the end, and feathering on its lower legs.
Heather smiled. “Oh, that’s Réalta—my primal steed.”
“Primal steed?” Questioned Prince Callum.
The unicorn nickered as it walked up to Heather. She smiled at him and stroked his face. At her touch, his coat changed to black and red—almost resembling burning coals—his mane, tail, horn, and cannons burst into flames; fire licking at his neck, lower legs, yellow horn and at the end of his narrow tail. His build also changed from being a slender unicorn, to a bulkier cob horse build. To add to his fiery form was a set of giant black and red feathered wings.
Réalta pushed against his partner’s hand, happy to see her again. He looked at the caterpillar on Heather’s shoulders with a glowing yellow eye, touching minds with it.
For now, his is not a threat, but I will need your help watching him until Phil is reborn again. Heather said to him.
As you wish, partner-of-mind-and-soul, said Réalta. His voice was youthful, but not as young sounding as Heather’s.
“He’s beautiful!” Ezran breathed, stepping closer.
He’s also not a threat, none of them are, Heather said to Réalta. She stepped aside and Réalta lowered his head to Ezran.
Heather smiled. “He says he is honoured to meet you, Your Majesty.”
“I know,” Ezran chimed. “I heard him.”
“My apologies, Your Majesty. I was unaware you had such an ability.”
Ezran smiled at her. “May I?” He asked Heather, raising his hand to stroke Réalta.
Heather looked to Réalta. “If he permits.”
Ezran looked to Réalta, who pressed his nose against Ezran’s hand.
“How can he be a primal steed and a unicorn?” Callum asked. “If you don’t mind me asking,” he added as Heather turned to him.
She crossed her arms against her sash. “When dark magic first became... popular, unicorns were hunted to near extinction. Some bound themselves to elves and to take on a form that represented the elf’s arcanum or arcana. With this bond, they not only got a new form, but they could communicate with each other telepathically within a certain distance.” She looked at Réalta. “So, as you can see, my arcana are sun and sky.”
“That’s incredible. How did you two become bound?” Callum asked, getting a closer look at Réalta.
“It was about...” Heather placed her hand to her chin, thinking. “Seven or so years ago, when I was out hunting by myself, when I came across a herd of unicorns. I guess Réalta just saw himself in me or wanted to bring out the best in me—I was a pretty lonely child. He was a foal at the time—and was very cute.”
Réalta lifted his head and snorted. I was not!
Heather’s lips lifted into a smirk. “Were too.”
“You never told me about him!” Rayla accused dramatically. “And we shared a room for all those years and you never told me about this handsome steed of yours?” She walked closer to Réalta. “Some sister you are,” she said in a false accusing tone. Réalta raised his head and backed away from her slowly.
“What is it?” She asked him. Réalta stood still and tall, looking down at Rayla fiercely. Rayla turned to Heather for an answer. But before she could get one, a call came from above.
“Scorchmarkdaughter!” Called a voice from above. Heather flinched at the name but whipped her head up to look at the source of the voice, as did her animal familiars. It was a Sunfire elf soldier from Lux Aurea. “Queen Zubeia wishes to speak with you!”

Top 10 Scenes in TDP Season 1 (pt. 1/3)
Top 10 Scenes in TDP Season 1 (pt. 1/3)
*not ordered in which is better or worse, but it will be in chronological order*
Also some things are worded weirdly. I have a pain in the ass time trying to get my thoughts across in words so... I thank you for your patience :))
_________________________________________
1) The scene where Callum, Ezran, and Rayla find the dragon prince. Ep. 2
I think this is one of the more pivotal moments in the show. I mean it is literally the scene that sets the story in motion after all! Two human princes, an elf assassin, and the lost dragon prince (who was thought to be dead/gone/egg destroyed(?)).. this is just IT.
*also i’m aware that Ez probably found the egg first cos he already knew about this secret area but still
2) Viren (attempts to) proposes the idea to trade his life in for Harrow. Ep. 3
Now there are other well thought and well written posts on this scene with Viren and Harrow, so I won't waste your time with all the gushy stuff. I find this scene important because it shows the lengths that Viren would go for his friend. Whether he's doing out of the goodness of his heart or some other selfish reason... maybe both(?)..
!WARNING! MINI VIREN POST ALERT EVEN THO I SAID I WOULDN'T GET INTO IT
In the book Moon, it dives deeper into the plot along with expressing the characters' thoughts and feelings. As for Viren, it's stated in the book that he wanted to:
"offer his life for Harrow's, but he wanted him to understand that this was more than just a sacrifice of a subject to his king. This was personal"
"... he would need to be straightforward. He wanted to say simply I love you and I will die for you" (Ehasz 80).
I have no doubts that Viren didn't not love Harrow or anything of the sorts, but at the same time it feels like there was another motive. Maybe there was, who knows.
All we know about Viren is that he's a father of two (Claudia & Soren), divorced/ separated from his wife, and he's a dark mage. Of course there's some more (like he's taller than Harrow according to the character line up)... also his staff... like if you look at it, it's the same one as the mage who faced Sol Regem all those centuries (?) ago. Maybe he's related to him, or possibly descended from one of the followers. I'd imagine that teaching dark magic may be a thing within his family and ancestors... he taught Claudia dark magic. That doesn't prove anything but it's a small thought.
ANYWAY-- this scene is one of many scenes that show Viren in a vulnerable state. The book gives a look into how he felt when he decided to sacrifice himself and everything. It's just interesting and I'm here for it.
3) Amaya and her weapons grade baguette Ep. 4
On a less serious and more fun note, the fact that Amaya is a breakfast connoisseur is just perfect. Amazing. Fantabulous.
"As a breakfast connoisseur, she was offended that Ezran would neglect a hearty morning meal" (Ehasz 120).
I only emboldened and italicized "offended" because in the show YOU CAN LITERALLY SEE HER FACE WHEN EZ TELLS HER.
Bruh she was so offended lmaooo
It's right at 13:36 time in the show... the slow zoom in and all 😂
4) Amaya and Gren meeting Viren at the statue Ep. 5
I’m trying to see if I should have paired this with the first scene where Amaya arrives first. That scene is pretty calm but has a somber feeling. It introduces the relationship of Amaya and Sarai without having to directly say it.
But this scene here is... interesting. Not in a good way or bad way, but we see they’re reminiscing of the past. At some point, they all got along nicely. Callum even noted in his spellbook that Viren’s family became like a second family to him when he moved to the castle.
This interaction was cute tho. It started out positive (sort of) with them joking about Viren eating the last jelly tart which pissed Sarai off lol. But then Viren went on to apologize to Amaya and reassured her that what he does is out of the goodness of his heart and love for Katolis. But...
“Aaaaand, he’s back, Amaya thought” (Ehasz 150).
And then went on to sign that he’s on a bunch of bs. See? Even Amaya knows he’s full of shit lol. But really tho... it makes me wonder how much of bs Viren goes on even before the events of the current story line.
5) Rayla saves Bait from the sea monster Ep. 5
Let us give a round of applause for Rayla going against her fear of water to save Bait, the grumpy frog who hates her. I think this just goes to show how compassionate Rayla really is. This would include the time when she goes back to grab bait back in the banther lodge in episode 4.
6) Viren giving his kids their *secret* missions Ep. 6
Okay this isn’t just one scene. I cheated yeah yeah whatever >:3
When Viren is telling Soren what he must do when he finds the princes, at first he doesn’t fully get it, but then.. OH n0
Viren’s intentions are starting to unfold and come together as one. Like, this man just told his own SON that should he find the princes, he should kill them. This 18 yr old bby
bruh
And Viren didn’t say it aloud, but he heavily implied it. Only to then gaslight him later on when Claudia confronts him in prison.
As for Claudia, Viren tells her that she must retrieve the egg. And do everything in her power to bring it back, even if it means that she’ll have to sacrifice Soren... her own damn brother ;-;
7) When Callum finally lets Rayla hold the egg Ep. 6
This scene is pretty big. Rayla knows that Harrow is long gone and is trying to find a way to tell them. Obviously she doesn’t choose the best time to try it.
They were in a dire situation that could potentially kill them (even tho they had plenty of those moments already). The reason why this scene is so big is because it shows her struggle to break the bad news (ever since the right binding fell) as she continues to grow closer to them. Here you can see Callum passing the egg to her, despite her hand being in the terrible state that it is in. It is also the scene where right before passing it, he finally tells Rayla that he trusts her.
8) Human Rayla!! Ep. 7
Human Rayla is so corny but it’s the good kind of corny. One of the best comedic jokes in the series!
That is all cos human Rayla needs an AU of being a nighttime tv host or smthg
9) Viren and Runaan Ep. 8
yo this is alot okay. The scenes with these two introduced some Moonshadow philosophy and such (ie. not being scared of death). Runaan being the stoic and serious assassin that he is. And Viren not having any of this shit.
There are three major things here:
Runaan knows about the mirror and is most likely aware of who Aaravos is. He literally says, “That mirror? You have found something worse than death.” Goddamn...
And then Viren just... trapped his soul.. his essence into a goddamn coin. Just like that? wow. And hold it, almost admiring it in front of Gren.
Also this is the first time we officially see Viren in that form. In the beginning of episode 5 we are given a darkened silhouette of Viren and the butterflies. But here we see the damage resulted from years of having done dark magic, and it’s horrifying. He is the high mage and all but goddamn. I mean with every action there are consequences so-
10) Callum destroying the primal stone Ep. 9
I feel like this is one of the “of course it’s this one!” scenes but it really is! Callum realizes that only a sky dragon can be hatched in the eye of storm and there he is with a literal storm in his hand. By now, Callum has come to understanding what feels right and that being a mage is his destiny. But he also understands that he needs to sacrifice some things for new beginnings. This whole journey was to get the lost dragon prince home and restore balance and peace and with the egg starting to die... well you can’t really do that without the egg.
It’s at 18:50 where he realizes all of this. It’s one of the big boy moments in the show. Seriously, it’s a big moment and the suspension helped get the feels in. And we got a cute baby dragon!!
End, begin. it’s all the same. (pls someone get that reference ;-;;;)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some honorable mentions:
- Episode 7: Claudia and Soren interacting. I love their sibling bond; it’s so silly and sweet and I love it. It makes me wish I had an older brother of some sort.
Ellis and Ava,, I like the flashback story given when they meet the dragang. I just like it, okay? Smol chiald w/ smol wolf pup and a hippie Lujaane seeing the beauty & strength in Ava.
CGI Coran. That all I have to say about that guy lmao
- Episode 8: When the group is going up the cursed caldera and they encounter that giant leech. Like can we just appreciate Callum’s funny way of making out a plan? Fat respect for that.
Another is when the group split up and waited for the leech to leave. The conversation between Ellis and Callum were sweet as was the one between Rayla and Ez. I loved Ellis’s admiration for Callum being a mage. And her expectations of what a mage was is pretty hilarious. So wholesome. The same goes for Ez when he gave Rayla that daily fill of positivity.
Like... Ellis is telling Callum how smart and confident and cool he is. And meanwhile Callum is like... it’s not me, it’s this. *whips out primal stone* And she goes on to tell him that she believe he’ll be amazing with or without the stone.
And Rayla is telling Ez how she failed in her job of killing the enemy. And Ez is telling her how she’s awesome at everything she does.
this is the positive wholesome shit I come for like... this is parallels but GODDAMNIT it’s so.. ;;;;-;;
Yo this is long ENOUGH! Thank you so damn much if you read to the end. You’re the real beauties. Anywho... uh parts 2 and 3 will be up soon.
It’s 11 now so I need some sleep. goodnight kids

remaining summer requests
The last of the summer requests (11 of them and one extra!) are all under the cut;; ♡
Actually I love this;; So many cute things to think about! ♡
There’s a loud boom as the door is forced open, almost as loud as the thunder outside. “I am here,” Grima announces as he strides in. There’s a thunderstorm outside, his specialty, but that’s not the point. In his studies of human culture, he’s learned that the dominant human is supposed to comfort the other while it rains like this. So, that’s exactly what he’s here to do.
Although, quite contrary to what he’s heard is supposed to happen, you merely glance at him from your position at the window before patting the spot beside you. He glides over and sits down because… what else is he supposed to do when you’re watching the storm rather intently and not paying much attention to him?
It’s a moment later when he voices his question. “Are you not scared, worm?”
“Of course not, storms like this are cool,” you reply. He blinks.
“Well, I can make storms like this any day, you know.” There’s a certain tone in Grima’s voice that you just can’t place, so you glance over to see a pout forming on his face. He’s looking out the window as if the storm has offended him in some way, and you can’t help but laugh.
“You’re jealous of the weather, hm?”
“I am not,” he lies, averting his eyes so he doesn’t have to see the knowing look in your eyes.
“Oh, you totally are! Wow, I never thought I’d see the day-” you’d have continued, of course, but Grima’s eyes narrow and a well-timed clap of thunder resounds as lightning strikes, bright and true, while Grima’s lips make contact with your own.
When I saved this to my drafts I put “shiny;;” as the comment and? that still totally applies;; You have god-tier taste, anon!
It’s close to 4 in the morning and Soren is already awake - or, rather, it’s more accurate to say he’s still awake since he hasn’t slept a wink all night. He can’t concentrate anymore, the words in front of him swimming and diving into a blurry mess as he sighs, loudly.
“…Soren, come to bed,” you whisper, startling the man in question. He looks over at you, questioningly, as he sighs again.
“Did I wake you?” You shake your head in response.
“Come to bed,” you repeat, and Soren finds himself too tired to argue, so he sighs one final time before slipping in beside you.
It’s warmer here, he thinks, as you shuffle closer to him, enveloping him with your body heat. He still won’t be able to sleep - at least he doesn’t think so - but this is comfortable, preferable to sitting and stewing in cold hordes of letters and numbers. It's… nice, he admits to himself, if only in his sleep-deprived mind.
“I’m glad you think it’s nice,” you say, which totally means he was thinking aloud, but he’s still too tired to do much more than make an aggravated sound. “Sleep well.”
The words are an invitation that maybe he won’t be accepting this time, but the sentiment is there. Soren closes his eyes and is thankful.
Anon I love youuuuu
It’s supposed to be a solo dance performance, one where you watch Laslow perform the dance he’s been perfecting as of late. It’s a wonderful show - Laslow takes on an air that he only seems to have during moments like this and he’s so graceful, fluid and lithe like he’s meant to do this for the rest of his life.
You clap because it’s the best thing you’ve seen in your life, or, at least the you of right now thinks so. Laslow smiles, cheeks tinged a light pink as he settles under your gaze, and then he’s pulling you up to join him.
“But I can’t-” you try to protest.
He cuts you off. “Just follow me and it’ll be fine,” he says, words accompanied by his signature smile, so you suppose you just have to listen.
It’s fun, twirling around in circles as Laslow leads you. Laughter fills the air and, at some point, you get a little dizzy, enough so that the scenery begins to light up. You wouldn’t pay much attention to it, but even as the two of you slow down, the lights remain, blinking in and out of existence at a leisurely pace.
“Fireflies…” you say aloud, the word coming out as barely a breath. Laslow smiles again, brighter than all the bugs around you and suddenly you can’t take your eyes off of him.
Ugh your mind anon, I stan you, like, spiritually;; Thank you for enabling my women-writing, you’re the best!!
“Ice cream? I’ve heard of it, of course, but I had assumed that soldiers wouldn’t get to have such a delicacy.” Laegjarn says after you bring up the topic of the typical summer food.
You shake your head in response. “Well, you assumed wrong. Ice cream’s super common here, so it’s super good for the summer! Would you like to get some?”
“Do you think I’ll enjoy it…?” she asks, to which you nod aggressively.
“Of course, of course! And if you don’t, we’ll get you all kinds of other summer treats until we find something you do like!” It’s said with such determination that Laegjarn can’t help her laughter.
“If you’re so certain, then I’m sure it won’t take too long,” she replies with a smile as she slips her hand into your own.
“Here,“ Cordelia says, offering you a cone of ice cream, which you take eagerly as a way to stave off the heat. "I wasn’t quite sure what you’d like, so I guessed. I hope that’s alright…”
She sounds a bit saddened by the fact that she didn’t know, but you still smile brightly at her anyways. “That’s okay, this is my favourite,” you reply because it’s true, somehow her guess had been completely correct. “It’s perfect!”
Cordelia lets out a sigh of relief as she settles down next to you, balancing her own cherry and vanilla cone in one hand. “That’s a relief. To think I don’t know my partner quite as well as I thought I did…”
You can’t help but laugh. “That just means that there’s more to learn, right? We can do it together!” Cordelia smiles at that, small but bright.
Of course!! I love him too anon;; ♡
Hríd is surprisingly good at swimming, darting through the water with relative ease. It’s surprisingly fun to cheer him on from your place on the sand as he performs strangely fancy maneuvers in the water.
You gradually lose focus on him, though, as Ylgr comes over and asks you ever so sweetly to make a sandcastle with her. You can’t refuse such an adorable face, so your attention is neatly passed over to the youngest of Nifl’s royal family. It’s only after a few minutes of sand crafting that a presence makes itself known behind you, the loud clearing of someone’s throat.
Looking over your shoulder, Hríd himself stands behind you, a small frown on his face. “You should come swim with me,” he says.
“No,” Ylgr protests before you can even open your mouth. “We’re making a sandcastle.” The two stare at each other, an intense face-off as you sit, not quite knowing what to do. A moment later, each one of them grabs on to you, pulling in either direction as they begin to argue.
“Wait-” you exclaim, and they stop just before they pull you apart.
“You should come with me,” Hríd insists.
“No, stay with me!” Ylgr exclaims.
“I… think I’ll go swim with Hríd first,” you say gently, and he smiles triumphantly while his sister immediately frowns. “And then we’ll both come back and build a castle with you, Ylgr. Is that alright?”
“But-” Hríd begins to protest, but Ylgr is faster.
“Okay! I’ll be waiting!” She says with a bright smile and you give a sigh of relief. With that, you turn to go back into the ocean with your boyfriend, conveniently missing the way Ylgr sticks out her tongue in her brother’s direction. He makes a face in response, but, ultimately, decides that playing with his sister is fine.
You link arms with Hríd as you make your way towards the water. “You’re too nice to that sister of mine,” he says. “She’s spoiled enough as is.”
“No one can help it, she’s cute and she knows it…” you reply. “But, it’s good to have a friendly relationship with one’s future family, no?”
“Ah…” Somehow, Hríd’s cheeks begin to colour, turning a little bright pink than usual as your words sink in. “I… guess you’re right.”
You laugh and his skin turns an even prettier shade of pink. “Why don’t we go cool off?” you ask and he frantically nods a quick yes before detaching himself from your side and diving into the water as you follow behind at your own pace. Ylgr may be a cute kid, you think, but Hríd is probably the cutest man in the world.
I don’t usually think about him? But when I did it was so much fun;; I hope you enjoy it anon!!
Midnight watch - by far the worst job in the army, at least, in the opinion of most - is probably the time you see Frederick the most. He’s always so busy running here and there and everywhere for Chrom and Lissa and Robin and countless others, so it’s nice to have a time where you have him all to yourself, even if it’s the middle of the night.
It’s then, when you’re holding hands (only after many nights of begging that he at least allow that much contact, it couldn’t hurt after all), that he points out a new occurrence, on the hill just outside of your patrolling area.
It glows as if it’s magic, you think at first, but it takes only a moment more for you to realize that they’re fireflies, the first of the season.
They’re so pretty that you want to thank Frederick immediately, but the moment you look up at him to do so, the soft smile on his face stops you. He looks peaceful, which is rare since the two of you are out in the open, not somewhere private like usual. The idea of it all makes you smile, so instead, you merely squeeze his hand a little harder.
!!!! Of course of course, how did you know I love him anon,,,, You must be a mind reader, so maybe you can tell how much I love you? (Hint: It’s over 9000♡)
Lukas has his fingers entwined with your, his grip gentle but firm as the two of you walk side by side. It’s cool out, just a bit colder than you’d like it to be, really, so you find yourself grateful for the warmth of his skin.
The morning is quiet and so are the two of you, but perhaps that’s a good thing. It’s relaxing, peaceful, a welcome change… or something like that. Regardless of what it is, it’s quite nice. You’d share the thought with Lukas, but looking in his direction shows an expression of deep thought, so you keep the feeling to yourself.
Instead, you swing your attached arms back and forth, just for something to do. Lukas looks at you and you look back at him with a smile, and he turns away, but the corners of his lips are still visibly turning upwards even though he’s turned away.
…This one, I have to admit I messed up;; I posted a Henry one a few weeks back that asked for prompt number 5, but I did 4 instead… That’s a huge mistake on my part, but since it’s been so long I don’t want to change it. So, this is Henry with number 5, watching fireflies!
“Look look look, can’t you see them?” Henry exclaims, excitedly tugging you in the direction of whatever it is that he’d like you to see.
“The… fireflies?” you ask as you finally come to a stop somewhere deep in the night, the lightning bugs being the only source of light other than the moon high up in the sky.
He nods aggressively and you swear his smile gets larger if that’s even possible. “Yep! See they look like the magic sparks, the ones you see when you cast a good big spell! And since you said you can’t see them, I thought I’d show you these instead!”
You blink at him once or twice before a smile that mirrors his own settles on your face. “That’s sweet of you, Henry?”
“You think so?” he replies, tilting his head in question. Instead of waiting for an answer, though, he reaches out to grasp your hand in his. “Then, let’s watch them together!”
Poly is a-okay here! It’s not super romantic but this one was fun to do, so I hope you’ll enjoy it regardless;;
If you had to compare the three of you, Ryoma is definitely the most used to the heat. Next is you, then Xander, who gets overheated insanely fast. That mostly explains the current situation - the three of you seated side by side on your couch, the lights turned off and a fan blowing at its highest setting as a means of keeping the three of you cool.
“…I can’t believe the air conditioning broke.” Xander voices aloud. Ryoma laughs warmly and you sigh, as if exhaling the heat from your body.
“It’s too hot,” you say and Xander nods in agreement, but slowly to not to create too much more heat. Ryoma just laughs some more.
“You two just need to build up more heat tolerance,” he suggests, and Xander gives him a pointed stare.
“I’m melting,” he says in monotone. You glance over and it appears he’s right, if the amount of sweat on his face is anything to go by.
“Aw, you poor thing.” Ryoma leans over you to wipe the moisture from Xander’s forehead, his arm effectively adding even more heat to what you think is more than enough. Xander leans into you more closely to gives Ryoma better access to his face, but that only produces more heat.
You heave out another heavy sigh and they pause, looking at you. “Wait just a second…” you ask, so Ryoma pulls back, giving the room to slide off the couch and right onto the cool floor. “And now you can continue.”
Ryoma stares at your form on the ground before he snorts, his laughter still too warm for the atmosphere. “What, were we too hot for you?”
“Yes,” you reply and this time it’s Xander who laughs. “You’re lucky I love you two and that it’s too hot for this,” you say with a pout and decided to angle the fan in your direction as the two of them continue you on behind you.
Miss Laura is actually very cute… I did my best to do her justice, so I hope you enjoy this anon!
“So we have everything?” Laura asks, staring at the luggage for the fifth time in the past hour.
“Laura, you’ve double checked your double checks, I’m sure we do! And if we don’t, we can always buy things when we need them.”
It makes sense, of course, but Laura still looks a little worried. “But…”
“No buts,” you say firmly. “It’ll be fine, don’t worry. And if it’s not, I’m sure we can figure out a way to fix things!”
“If you’re sure…” she replies, the frown on her face still present. You’re not a fan of it, not when she could be smiling, so you reach over to take her hand. She looks up, a little surprised as you look her right in the eye.
“I’m absolutely sure. I’d be worried if I was going by myself but since it’s with you, there’s no problem, right? I’ll be counting on you.”
Laura pauses for a moment. “Then, if you’re counting on me… I’ll do my best too!” she says, voice filling with confidence as a small smile appears on her face.
You smile back in much the same way. “Then, let’s get going!”
“Mhm!”
In the end, you do forget a few things, but it’s all alright. Laura is able to take care of it, and you’re there to help her, so there really is nothing to worry about.
Bonus*** Some extra Ryoma because I didn’t realize I’d already done the prompt so I did it again? Please accept it it’s cute;;
“Good morning,” comes Ryoma’s voice. It’s gentle, cleaving through sleep like one cuts through butter. You blink, eyes fluttering open.
“Good… morning?” you reply, your brain still clouded by sleep. You hear Ryoma laugh, maybe, and then there’s a warm, soft pressure on your forehead.
“Still tired, hm? Perhaps this will wake you up…” It’s hard to comprehend things when you’ve just woken up merely half a second before, but somehow you think you should prepare yourself…
There’s the soft pressure again, this time on your lips and, ah, you melt into it. The vibrations of Ryoma’s laughter fill your throat this time, delightfully tingly.

The Origin Of The Order [C1]
“Hurry up, Ivor!”
A ginger boy with the name of “Soren” energetically sprang away from the schoolhouse, of the step of the establishment’s staircase, his boots scraping the dirt beneath his soles as he turned around while one foot hit the ground, graceful as could be. In a movement of enthusiasm, his scarf’s loose end waved behind him slightly, cutting through the summer’s air in motion, the same for the drawstrings of his hoodie. It was summer at last! After numerous months of academy, he was remarkably thrilled to have time to sit back, relax and enjoy the stress-free glow! Hell, he was so excited the schoolbell didn’t even ring yet, he ran out a second before the chime went off which would be the signal for the conclusion of class for the ensuing several weeks! He couldn’t wait to play with his good, probably best, friend, “Ivor”--The irony--all throughout the holiday. The two had been good allies since around the beginning of the school-year and ever since then, the pair have always hanged out whenever possible. Because of that, Soren was eager to call out for him in exhilaration and he did just that, soon before the schoolbell rang;
“It’s finally summer vacation!”
- - -
The schoolhouse immediately filled to the brim with children’s cheers and exclamations as the bell fell out. The doors of the school were swinging open. Not a second went by without a younger running out of the building, shouting in glee. Students eagerly rushed down the few stairs onto the ground, some jumping, others running. The delight of the concept of this wonder-filled holiday commenced to the calls of names, footfalls and everything in-between to be let into the atmosphere of this play of an environment twice more than it usually would on any ordinary schoolday, same for the mirth and laughter of the children. In the background, Ivor wasn’t a fan of Soren just running out ahead of him. It was something that happened every day though, so he was used to it. Besides, he knew Soren for a while and if he knew anything about him it was that he was a very energized and enthusiastic person and that nothing he could think of would be able to stop him from his passionate personality and nothing besides isolation ever did, did it, Sorie?
“Soren!” Ivor called out, running up to him, his longer, sable hair in the wind. “It’s not polite to make a friend run!”
“Yes well, the more time we spend in that school, the more time summer is gonna pass by us, Ivor and I for one, am not letting a second of this spectacular vacation pass by!”
“We’re going to be asleep for the majority of it, Soren.”
Ivor reminded his green-eyed friend of that in an eye roll, shortly before he turned to the dirt trail the both of them had always walked aside home, prompting Soren to follow him to the dusty path that led to their home village which they shared. The two accompanied each other on their saunter which wasn’t a short distance from their school but not a long one either. It was good, however, for it gave them more than enough time for the pair to talk, mainly discussing their plans of the ventures and activities they would be doing throughout the season break, exclusively involving only the two of them, alike to how they always did. They weren’t sad about that either. They never needed nor did they have anyone else to be getting in the way of their hang-outs with one another. Ain’t that ironic?
“We could always go to the beach, Ivor.”
“I’ve told you about a million times, Soren! I can’t swim! What I would be doing would be making a laughing stock out of myself!”
“Very well, forgetting the beach...we could...go and explore a cave...!”
“With kitchen knives? I prefer to live, thank you.”
“Ivor, where’s your sense of adventure? I recognize that you like to explore!”
“Well, yes…” Ivor sighed, “Listen Soren, I just...don’t want to get in trouble just as summer is starting, alright?”
“I understand...all that I wish is that you’d lighten up a bit. It’s best we take chances and do things...! Without taking chances...well...life is point–”
Arg! Soren’s vision took a blur briefly in distress as his eyes took a cross in startlement. He shook his head slightly, trying to clear his perception from blear. His hands felt a dirt trail, small pieces of dust clouded his arms throughout. Once his mind was freed from confused he gazed up and saw a boy and a girl before him, standing on the field ahead where the clay route had yet another fork of right and left, the greenery with an overhead carven, numerous feet behind the quad that truthfully looked like something that should be of a world-wonder. Ivor was knelt on one knee next to his gingered friend, though his robe didn’t seem to help his action. The boy who Soren had fumbled into had a shaved head whist the lass had some shorter light brown hair, the bloke’s expression could be said to be unimpressed but a bit mad. The lass was more neutral than anything but clearly expecting someone to say something. You didn’t change one bit, did you, Ellie?
“Do you mind looking where you’re going?” The boy asked with a slightly rude tone but not that he was screaming, the boy brings his hands open-palmed above his head in a sarcastic movement, "Here I am, innocently trying to talk with my friend and you have the nerve to bump into me...!”
The unnamed lass did nothing more than a facepalm at her friend’s play but she didn’t say anything. Soren got to his feet and quickly dusted off any possible dirt that could have came onto his clothes when he fell onto the dusted track and quickly settled the loose end of his scarf back into the place around his neck, how it was beforehand. Ivor stood back up almost in sync of Soren who took a glance at him. Ivor didn’t really seem to be offended or remarkably concerned about Soren’s moderate injury. It was nothing more than a small fall, after all.
“I should have been looking where I was going and I’m sorry I crashed into you,” Soren takes his arms down a bit which were previously at the same height as his head, a surrender-like stance, fingers loosely fixed and opens his eyes, slight sarcasm removed, “You’re not hurt, are you?”
“Yeah, I don’t think a small bump would break my neck, if you didn’t know.”
“Magnus, hear yourself,” The girl stepped up, reaching an arm out, almost cutting off her bandana-wearing friend, “He clearly didn’t mean to.” The lass unpressed shrugs her arms, palms open, “Do you really think that they’re out to get you or something?”
The boy sighed a breath of sass because of his friend’s remark. Nevertheless, he turned gazed back at the ginger and black-haired, looking at a slight angle. The damsel in a dress, for the first time, in the thirty seconds that Soren and Ivor knew the lass, was the one to speak up instead of the bloke she had for an associate. She first did a sigh of the air regarding her dismissal of the event;
“I’m sorry about him.” The girl slightly waves her hands apart, around the same height as her chest, “He can be friendlier but when he remembers that the world doesn’t revolve around him, it starts to make him intolerable.”
“Ellie!” Magnus shouted forcefully to “Ellie,” hands clenched and drawn to his heart. The scene causes Ivor and Soren to have a small laugh as “Ellie” rolled her eyes with a smile of backhand before loosely bringing a hand to just below her throat;
“The name’s Ellegaard, by the way. I habitually go by ‘Ellie,’ though. This is Magnus. AKA, the world’s best rogue.” Ellegaard hastily nods her head down, clenched hand in sync.
“I’m taking that as a compliment!” Magnus announced proudly, both wrists on his hips.
This is yet another case of the kids having a cursory case of laughter while Ellegaard and Ivor shook their heads both donning unimpressed smiles. Honestly, none of them understood if they were laughing at Magnus or with him, though Magnus was wearing a proud beam, therefore, it was likely the ladder if anything. They did seem to have a sense of humour. Perhaps these two aren’t so bad, after all. Given the fact that these two unfamiliar kids gave their names to the duo, Soren took it upon himself to provide him and Ivor their customary introductions, bringing a hand to his chest, talking a bit slowly at first;
“My name is Soren and this is my friend Ivor. Do you two live around here? I have never seen either of you before.”
“Don’t answer, Ellie!” Magnus interrupted, hands hovered above his chest, “They may be creeps...!”
“Stop being so paranoid.”
“The worry can be understandable,” Ivor added quietly, close to interrupting Ellegaard, turning his head slightly aside, an out-of-character thing to say. Nowadays, at least.
Although Ivor spoke this one-liner nearly alike to inaudibly, a wave of hush befell upon each and every one of the kids in result, leaving the sound of a slight breeze and distant, unimportant voices all to the ears of the four. Ivor had single-handedly brought them all to an awkward silence, uncomfortable for all of the children for a few, thin seconds, though it felt like longer before Soren discontinued the inconvenient deadlock on any kind of known social cue with an apprehensive shrug, more to the right and a proposal which he said slowly;
“Perrrrrrhaps we could be friends? Ivor and I were planning some plans for the summer! If you want, you can join us.”
“All I was going to do this summer was study redstone techniques,” Ellegaard raised an arm swiftly as she said that, closing her eyes and raising her shoulders with slight sass, “So, I wouldn’t mind.”
“Yeahhhhhhh, I got nothing better to do either,” Magnus said glinting away with a shrug before turning back to Ellegaard addressing her, “Ellie, we should include Gabe.”
“Gabe?” Ivor asked slowly, tilted head, “Who’s that?”
“Gabriel,” Ellegaard answered, “He’s our friend. He’s likeable.”
“This will be excellent!” Soren exclaimed, clapping his hands together, “Ivor and I were discussing how we were going to go and explore a cave later! You both could come too!”
“I never agreed to that!” Ivor retaliated in a gasp, his hands bitterly closed and brought to his chest. You know something? It’s kind of funny how some people never change even throughout the span of several years.
“Well, if purple-eyed is up to it, so are we,” Magnus asked casually, one hand on his hip, “Where you two wanna meet?”
- - -
The four children processed to discuss their plans to go on an adventure through a cave that same night which wasn’t quite a ways from Ellegaard’s, Magnus’s and “Gabriel’s” village, though their village wasn’t a very far venture from Soren’s and Ivor’s town either, which was good. It might be a dangerous risk, lives might be put in jeopardy but that would mean nothing more than it also being an adventure. After talking it over with one another, Magnus promised to bring wooden swords for the group, Soren promised to bring torches for the four, Ellegaard promised to inform their unseen friend, Gabriel to come along and, most importantly, each kid promised not to tell their parents that evening and go with the other few at nightfall without their parent’s knowledge or consent. Who knew that an adventure could be sparked by a clumsy action? What would happen if Soren wasn’t distracted? Maybe The Order Of The Stone would’ve never existed...! If only, huh?
This is the story of how The Order Of The Stone first began. Their Origin. This Is The Origin Of The Order.

5th Year Anniversary Shout-Outs
5 years, 5 whole ass years I’ve been doing this RP thing on this blog. I had no idea that I would get this far and I wasn’t even sure I was going to have enough material to get past year two. I’ve met some really cool people while I’ve been here, but for a 5 year post I’ve decided to narrow it down to the people I interact with the most and give them a more detailed shout-out. If you aren’t on this list, please don’t be offended I love all my followers, mutuals, and people I do threads with, these are just the current higher tiers in my mind. (I’m going to regret this somehow, I just know it.)
(Placed under a cut for length reasons. Note that these are in a random order, being first isn’t important and being last isn’t bad. I put all names in a random generator and got this list back.)
@bloodthirstymoonstone
Well, I can safely say that I wasn’t expecting what came about with us, but I know that I love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am so looking forward to the next Discord group RP and all the cute stuff we can write with Tobias and everyone else in the group. And your Valter is absolutely horrible and it’s amazing!
@thomasandthegang
We may have gone through a rough patch with our failed Discord group, but hey we’re still here and I still think you’re a cool guy. Kinda wish we interacted more, but I know that sometimes that just can’t happen. Keep working on bettering yourself and I’m sure that things will fall in place eventually.
@ask-captain-faris
I know we haven’t interacted in a while, but I sill love reading your other threads and seeing all the cool fanart of Faris and such. It’s nice when I can jump into another fandom and find someone I enjoy following.
@fxllenmxster
Again, another person that I don’t interact with a lot, but when we do it’s amazing. You’ve always indulged me in some of the weirder things I wanted to explore and I’ve really appreciated that over the years. I’m always looking forward to your next reply on our Discord threads, be it with Aqua or Soren, and you know you can always hit me up to talk whenever. It may take some time, but it’s always worth it.
@jedipadawan4589
I mean what else can I say that I already haven’t? You are an amazing RP partner, a cool person to talk to all the time, you draw and sketch the cutest things all the time, you come up with interesting AU ideas all the time and they are all high quality stuff. I think I can safely say now that you have for sure vaulted into ‘Best Partner Ever’ status and it can only go up from there in my opinion. I can’t wait for what we do and come up with in the future.
@lukeandlyn
We’ve had the longest threads I’ve ever had, both in post number and time taken to write, and honestly there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. You’re always constantly there with a reply and even if the replies are short between us, it’s always nice to see one there waiting for me.
@sakuradreamerz
Oh my god, the Esther/Joshua ship is real and it’s the cutest thing that I’ve ever written and I love it! And I really like how he had to gain her trust during threads instead of it just happening off screen or something like that. It makes the whole relationship feel a lot more real to me and I’m definitely looking forward to where this whole thing goes. And your icons and the way you write Esther’s thoughts is super cute as well, very unique.
@giganotus
I know we haven’t moved forward with Mark, Lyn, and Shigure in a bit, but I still loved every thread and hopefully sometime soon we can go for some more and finally get him and maybe Ingio pretty much fully recovered from what Valter did. And even if we don’t, I enjoy reading your other threads as well and the little comments you have your muse make about what’s going on.
JP
Well, I have to say that when I started this I had no idea I was going to have so much fun with an anonymous RP. Yeah we may have our differences about how we view things and how we think characters should act, but I always enjoy seeing your responses in my inbox and where we can go next. Our threads are always a ton of fun.

The Bro Code
Claudia x Rayla (Raydia? Clayla? I’ve seen both idk)
Summary:
“Bro,” Soren says, slowly, “you’re kind of a bitch.”
____________ Or, Rayla makes a mistake and, like a true bro, Soren doesn't let it last.
Under the read more, or AO3 if preferred.
Rayla had prepared herself for a lot of outcomes when she decided to finally ask Claudia out. Callum was growing tired of her hopeless lamenting, and Ezran isn’t quite old enough to full grasp the dire situation that is a crush, so she made a decisions.
Like every decision, it came with consequences. Rayla thought out every possible answer she may receive, from an over enthusiastic ‘yes,’ to Claudia casting a curse on her to last a lifetime for even suggesting they go out. What she hadn’t expected, was for Claudia to run off crying.
Rayla had been so shocked by her response, that she’s spent the last two hours sitting in the dirt. Her mind is trying to wrap itself around what the fuck just happened, but to no avail.
She’s still sitting there when Soren comes and finds her. He looks at her with that soft look on his face that alerts her to the fact that they’re about to have a heart to heart, and sits down next to her. Rayla pulls her legs to her chest and looks at him, hoping that he’ll have some sort of insight on how to interpret Claudia’s reaction.
“Bro,” Soren says, slowly, “you’re kind of a bitch.”
Rayla doesn’t know how to react. Everyone seems to act the exact opposite way Rayla expects them too.
“What?” she asks, too shocked to sound mad.
Soren shakes his head. “That prank you pulled on Claudia,” he says, confusing Rayla further. “Look, we’re bros. You know that I love you. But that was a real shitty move.”
Rayla groans into her knees, head swimming. “I don’t get it,” she says. “Is Claudia straight? Did I traumatize her with my gay?”
Soren giggles at her choice of words, and she’s grateful for the moment of familiarity. At least some reactions she can still guess.
“Bro, come on,” Soren says, trying to keep the lingering amusement from his voice. “First of all, Claudia is bi. Second of all, we both know what today is. Playing dumb isn’t going to work here.”
He gives her a look, and she almost feels offended. Playing dumb is much more of Soren’s thing, than hers. It’s hardly as believable when she does it.
“What is today?” Rayla asks, and Soren sighs.
“April Fool’s Day,” he says, and something clicks.
Callum had told her about the weird holiday a while ago, but she’d quickly forgotten about it. She lets her head thump back against the wall.
“God,” she says, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Elves don’t have that holiday, Soren.”
It takes a minute, but realization washes over his face. Soren is up in a flash, and he pulls Rayla along with him.
She doesn’t ask where he’s taking him, because she’s pretty sure she knows. Claudia’s sitting on a rock, in a similar position that Rayla had been in.
She looks at them when Soren snaps a branch under his foot, and Rayla’s heart jerks at the tears on her face.
“What do you want?” Claudia asks, spitting the words like venom.
“Elves don’t have April Fool’s Day,” Soren says, before Rayla can speak. “She didn’t know what today was, and she actually likes you. Rayla, Claudia has liked you for a long time, and would definitely like to go out with you Friday. Do you accept?”
Rayla looks at Claudia, who seems a bit too shell-shocked to really react to what’s happening.
Nonetheless, she says, “Yes.”
Soren looks at Claudia expectantly. Her mouth opens and closes a few times before a single word comes out. “Yeah.”
Soren claps happily before looping his arm around Rayla’s shoulders.
“Glad we got this sorted out,” he says, and spins himself and Rayla around.
He marches them forward a few steps, determined to go let Rayla clear her head and process what just happened when Claudia calls for him.
“I’m your ride home,” she says, with exasperated fondness.
“Oh,” Soren says, and Rayla tries to hide her laugher into a fist. “Right. Later!”
Soren waves goodbye to Rayla, and she waves back. Claudia catches her eye before they leave, and Rayla is graced with a single, gentle smile.

Pirates of Tellius AU
I'm back at it again with another niche Tellius AU no one but me will ever read!
this is some sort of weird IkeSoren/IkeRanulf hybrid but like. better keep it open ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
basically it’s ‘what if I stuck Tellius characters in the Pirates of the Caribbean universe, smashed both the plots together, and made it slightly gayer (but only slightly because tellius is pretty gay)?
It starts out more following the plot of PotC but I assure you that is only superficial and also gets drowned pretty quickly
also you can see where this post started as brainstorming and eventually became actual fic so. please read it
Ike is obviously Will Turner - I mean, this is textbook, right down to his dad having Secrets™️. sword boi runs into trouble.
Soren is Elizabeth - but raised by Almedha (hence a background in dangerous things when he was young, but now very sheltered by his parent).
and Ranulf is the suave but kind-of-stupid pirate because I have no self control and JUST IMAGINE RANULF IN THE HAT. THE HAT, GUYS.
it gets gayer I swear I’m pushing a Soren/Ike/Ranulf agenda y’all
Ike and Soren, childhood friends, Almedha doesn't like Ike coming over, Soren’s got some sort of arranged marriage Ike has many swords but dreams of greater things than the smithy. the rest of the Greil Mercenaries are the people from Ike's area of town - Titania's the only one I struggle to think of a job for, but she lives next to the smithy and Mist has a bedroom at Titania's as well as above the forge (Ike has a bed there too, although he rarely uses it). Oscar and his brothers are a bakery/butchery hybrid, Rhys is the apothecary, etc., Shinon and Gatrie are probably still mercenaries lbr
the only thing Ike knows about his father's death is that he was killed by the pirate captain of the Black Night (haha I regret everything), a mythical ship that appears and disappears at will - but only at night.
Lethe stole Ranulf's ship, crew, and weapons (he'd be so proud if he didn't currently lack a ship), which I don't have a name for yet, anyway so Ranulf comes in to the port, people lose their shit, he escapes, but he really needs a forge to get these handcuffs off. oh, the Greil smithy! nice. duel! jail :(
Ike is kinda sad because Soren has to do Noble Things which currently just means "sucking up to the princess" Elincia - and he thinks his mother might be planning a marriage at this rate.
One night, one of the Mad King's fleet ransacks the town. Ranulf sighs, knowing enough of these beorc pirates by reputation, but hey, he's in jail.
The pirates kill the king and go after Elincia to throw Crimea into chaos. Unfortunately, she's not alone - but fortunately, Soren can talk his way into any situation and gets them a parley. bonus points if he pretends he's the princess and Elincia is a servant.
Ike's world is upside down - his town's burning, Soren's been taken, what does he do? Titania tells him he can go - she'll help rebuild, keep the town order, and Mist can run the forge. Just - you know that sword, Ike? the one your father hid under the floorboards and told you to never touch? take it. you might need it.
so he does - but might need some help, too. who better than a pirate who knows the way of the sea?
they steal a ship and go. Ike yells about pirates, Ranulf offers to throw him into the sea, but they resolve it quickly because Ike understands there's more to the world than he knew. Ranulf's got an uncanny sense of direction and he knew Ike's father, but there's something else he feels he's missing. Greil was a pirate, Ike learns, and one of the finest - Ranulf might've left Gallia if he'd asked.
but their ship isn't meant for two - they need a crew. Ike soon learns Ranulf has a reputation five miles long, lovers in nearly every man and woman on land, and can outdrink anyone when they stop at an Outpost to pick up everyone you recruit in PoR. and then they head for Nevassa Cove.
I'm throwing the plots of both stories out the window now. also, the laguz? they're staying - in a slightly different form...
Ike and Ranulf’s crew don't make it to Nevassa quickly, though, so who knows what Elincia and Soren are doing in the meantime. bonding, probably. Elincia's no idiot - she's heard the rumors about Lady Almedha, her mysterious background, her ever-present veil - and the Captain of the Mad King goes on about what lives in the water. She starts to question the fables of her childhood, full of sirens who would sing you to the depths and creatures that could topple flagships. Soren's planning, but he's got to keep up the Princess pretense - but he's noticing, too.
Ranulf's crew comes across some of their own myths when their ship is blown into a coral reef. Ranulf and his first mate (originally had this as Kyza but I want to save her for the eventual RD-inspired sequel, and Ike's role onboard is kinda undefined) know better than to go outside here, but Ike doesn't, and so he meets his first mermaid - oh, he didn't mean to offend, he didn't know they were called laguz. Kurthnaga is kind and offers the assistance of his friends to unmoor their ship, and Ike learns their form is not limited to the kind he saw in paintings of beautiful merwomen. Ike tells Ranulf, and Ranulf admits he knows more of the sea than he let on - there are different clans of laguz, all below the water, and the sea dragons are only one (although they are where landwalkers got their idea of the kraken).
the next tribe they find as they cross the canyons of Phonecis and Kilvas, known as a ship's graveyard. there's something about Ike, Ranulf muses as Ike speaks to King Tibarn about the Mad King's destruction and their explosives which threaten to ruin even the ocean floor. Tibarn listens, even with a siren at his side (one of few, Ranulf thought them all dead), and when Tibarn not only lets them pass but offers assistance, Ike welcomes them.
"I thought I was the captain around here!" he calls, earning a smile from Ike at the helm. He can feel Reyson about to speak, to ask why he is a captain of a beorc vessel at all, so Ranulf interrupts with a call to the crew and they depart, singing out of tune but merrily.
Tibarn's laguz follow in the water, save Tibarn himself and his white siren, who stand on deck and could almost pass for humans. Ike wonders about this - Kurthnaga and the dragons didn't have quite this human a form; are Tibarn and Reyson special, or is there even more to the laguz than meets the eye?
He asks Ranulf as much, when they're sitting below deck having a drink. "Laguz have three forms," Ranulf answers. "One for the water, one for the land, and one in-between." He fingers the brim of his hat, an item Ike wishes he'd take off when they're dining like this, away from the rowdy crew.
"How do you know so much about laguz?" Ike asks instead, ever focused on the mission. He doesn't get an answer, though, because the bell is ringing and the crew is clamoring and they see Nevassa Cove in the distance.
"Good find, Ike," Tibarn congratulates him with a slap on the back.
"Ranulf found it." That's Reyson, with something in his tone Ike can't quite place.
"Good find, Ranulf," Tibarn repeats, casting an amused smile to his companion.
They board smallboats and row to the cave under cover of darkness. The plan is cast aside, however, when Ike watches the Mad King's captain unsheath a rapier and advance on Soren. Ashnard won't tolerate their game of role-play any longer, but Elincia jumps in front, waving her arms wildly and yelling to get in the water, Soren!
Ike doesn't listen to whatever Ranulf is or isn't saying; he jumps from behind a cave wall, waving Ragnell and shouting hellfire on Ashnard.
"Well, well, little pirate boy," he mocks, and Ike realizes how massive this captain is in person. "Are you worthy to set foot in Nevassa?"
Ike raises his chin and Ragnell and meets Ashnard's eyes. "My father was Captain Gawain, who sailed that ship long before you destroyed her planks with blood, Ashnard," he says. "You aren't fit for the sea!"
They fight, slipping on sand-dusted rocks and breathing in blood and sweat and the dank smell of the cove, swords ringing like broken bells. Ranulf waves his hand and the crew - Ike's crew, really, if he's being honest - swarms Ashnard's, Tibarn's laguz fighting from the water and dragging pirates to the depths. He crosses to Soren and Elincia and motions them to an underwater tunnel. "Ike's ship is waiting for you," he tells them. "Go!"
"I'm no laguz, Sir Ranulf," the princess protests, but her eyes speak defiance rather than fear.
"It's Captain Lay, Princess," he says with a smile. Then he pushes her into the water, angled so she falls back on Soren and sends them both splashing. "Hold your breath!" And Ranulf dives in, relishing the feel of his shifting form only for a second before he pulls Elincia down, down, up, up through the tunnel and they emerge on the outside, Elincia sputtering and gasping and clinging to him like a lifeline.
"Swim to the ship. Reyson will be waiting."
She lets go but doesn't move. "Soren - he's still in there - you'll go back - please, Captain, return and -"
He cuts off her growing politeness when thrusts his hat at her chest and spins around. She's right, her companion didn't follow, and Ranulf has a sneaking suspicion why, if Ike's many stories of his friend are true.
"Damn," Ranulf says. He goes back.
Ike can feel his arms straining and he regrets never using Ragnell until a month ago. Ashnard is stronger, but at least Soren and Ranulf got away, he thinks. Of course, that's when a knife embeds itself in Ashnard's forearm. Ashnard turns. Ike turns. Soren is there, half in the water and hair dripping wet, holding another knife. Ashnard opens his mouth, and Ike strikes - brings Ragnell straight down and cleaves the Mad King's skull in two with a precision Ike didn't know swords could have.
Ike stands there, staring at the body and his blade, for a full minute, breathing heavily and shaking from adrenaline. When he moves, Soren is staring at him. Ike drops Ragnell and runs to the water, and Soren - Soren moves away, backing against the cove wall.
And I don't want to write Angst™️ but you know where this is going. (Half laguz have two forms, but that's still one more than a beorc.)
Ranulf interrupts the moment, because, hey, I'm glad you're safe but there's a battle on outside and I'm pretty sure the Royal Navy's here as well so let's go!
Ike is still holding Soren, whose face is curled into his neck and hair brushing across Ike's back like a blanket of seaweed. He looks at Ranulf, eyebrows high as he takes in Ranulf finally without that hat and decides his ears are cute. "Is every person I know gonna show up with a tail now, or is it just you two?"
"Just us, I think." Ranulf grins, then sobers. "Still a battle on, Ike," he chides. Ike nods and turns to Soren, who nods in affirmation. "Hold your breath, Ike," says Ranulf, and then they're streaming through the tunnel and Ike never, ever wants to go swimming again by the time they break the surface.
The Royal Navy is there, and they're impounding Ranulf's ship. Ike's ship. Whatever. They haul Ike out of the water, which he accepts because he isn't a laguz and he's more of a chance of surviving in prison than in the water. The guards bind him for piracy - unfair, because he hasn't actually stolen anything (Ranulf stole the ship, technically). Ike tells them as much - yells it, more like, along with a string of curses and proof that he just saved the Princess and killed the Mad King Ashnard - but when Elincia's voice rings out a call for silence he's just as affected as the Navy.
"Sir Ike," she begins, ignoring the whispers of her guards and one commander who tries to tell her he's a pirate and shouldn't be addressed personally, "you have saved me and my kingdom from destruction. For that, you have our gratitude. You will remain a free man, and all charges of piracy against you shall be dropped. I offer you a place in my Navy, Sir Ike, as it would be an honor to have you beside me."
His motley crew, hands tied behind their backs in the center of their ship, stares at him; Elincia's Navy stares at her; and no one moves for a moment.
"Thank you, your Majesty," Ike says, the title an honest mistake but he doesn't take it back because it's true now. "Thank you, Elincia," he continues, "but my place is on the sea. My father sailed these waters before me, and it's time I lived up to him. Besides," he offers her a crooked smile, water dripping into his eyes from his lashes, "I think the sea has companions to offer me."
"Of course," she says, a smile playing at her lips. She removes her arms from their position across her chest (Ike had thought it a ward against the seeping chill of night air on wet clothes) and lifts something up above Ike's head. In the moonlight, he catches a glimpse of a familiar hat, its wide brim decorated with strings of beads and feathers, before Elincia places it on his head, soaking his hair even more. "We shall leave you to your ship, Captain Ike," she says with eyes alight, and turns away with all the grace and poise of a royal.
After a great deal of spluttering and critiques from the Navy quickly aborted by a mere glance from Elincia, Ike's crew is released and the Navy returns to their ships with Elincia, who hands Ike an envelope and a hug before departure. Ike stares after them, adrenaline entirely spent and confused how he just got named a pirate captain by the Queen.
"Well, well, well, congratulations!" comes a familiar voice, its figure moving across the deck. "The hat suits you, Ike," Ranulf grins, clapping him on the shoulder. "Lethe might've stole my other ship, but you've earned this one well." He pauses, just for a second, winks, and then says: "Captain."
Ike smiles, but his attention is quickly caught by the shadows behind a mast. It's Soren, as he knew it would be. Ike puts an arm around him, a gesture he finds awkward for anyone else, and runs his fingers through Soren's damp black locks. "I think I've got a position open on this ship," he offers. "If you'd like."
Soren looks up, and Ike thinks his red eyes are beautiful in the moonlight. "I would." It's almost inaudible, but Ike hears it anyway. He holds him tighter.
They return home first, and his crew laughs through the streets and fills the inns and taverns with gold and merriment, undoubtedly spreading rumors of the battle with the Mad King that will grow into something ridiculous, but Ike doesn't stop them. When he knocks at Titania's door, Mist throws herself at him and she's crying and Mist's crying and Ike might be too.
When they've told each other all that matters between their family and Mist is asleep on Titania's lap from exhaustion, Ike makes tea for him and Titania and sits across from her. "Were you my dad's first mate?" he asks, unprompted except by the companionable silence of being home.
"I was," Titania replies, nostalgia twinging across her face.
Ike nods and sips his tea. He knows the rest of the story, and if Titania would like to spin her own tales he'd gladly listen, but he'll also listen to Mist's soft breathing and relax.
"Who is yours?" Titania asks instead.
Ike starts, almost dropping his tea. "I don't - I'm not sure. There's - well, there's Soren, and Ranulf, and I don't know..." he trails off.
Titania smiles, a glint in her green eyes. "You don't have to know. One day, you'll know, though. It might sneak up on you, so watch out." She knows something, Ike thinks, something about me but more than that, she knows something about the world and the sea and the captains that follow the wind and their hearts.
"Okay," says Ike, because he's home and he doesn't have to say any more. In a few days they'll head out again on that wind. Ike doesn't know where it'll take him, but he'll be ready.
#y'all i just want to push my a) potc obsession and b) ikeranulf agenda#path of radiance#radiant dawn#fire emblem#fe aus#fe por#fe rd#fe9#fe10#also reyson and tibarn are definitely a thing in this verse because ike is probably ace and i gotta get my mermaid kinks somewhere#we get the black knight in the sequel. they go to begnion and shit too altho i havent decided everything yet#lethe's also gonna be in the sequel and so is the dawn brigade once I get a handle on. anyone besides micaiah and sothe lmao#i need a name for ranulf's-turned-lethe's ship tho#yes they're both laguz yes they're pirates don't @ me you know ranulf would#lethe is probably just like. idk trying it out for fun? idk gallia is super chill and also the clan most often spending time on land#I CAN'T DECIDE HOW THE SPECIES WORK THO LIKE??? D&D AU
Part of my ‘100 Dragon Prince AUs’ Oneshot Collection
Read on Ao3
A group of friends settle in to play as an Elf Rogue, a Human Mage, and a Human Druid, to return the maguffin egg across the land.
Victor=GM/Viren Cam=Callum Layla=Rayla Ezra=Ezran Steve=Soren Claudia=Claudia. She was not all that clever at naming her character.
“Alright, does everyone have their characters and dice ready?” Victor asked, shuffling his own game notes.
“Where’s Steve and Claudia?” Layla asked, as Cam and Ezra competed to build the best dice tower.
“Well, since you all split the party at the BEGINNING,” Victor said, with more than a little irritation in his voice, “I’m going to run something for them separately so neither of you have out of character knowledge about each other. So!” he cleared his throat, “You’re making progress through the mountains towards Xadia. The area is getting colder and there’s snow on the ground.”
“I thought it wasn’t winter?” Cam asked.
“It’s the mountains, it still is cold,” Victor said, “Ezra, I mean EzraN, make a strength check.”
“What? Why?” Ezra asked, scrunching up his nose.
Victor sighed, “You’ve been carrying the egg around for miles, it’s practically a quarter of your weight. PLUS you’ve been holding Bait.”
“Shouldn’t that be an endurance roll, then?” Cam asked, “Not strength?”
“Fine,” Victor said, visibly trying to not roll his eyes, “Make an ENDURANCE roll then.”
Ezra took the base of his dice tower, the remaining dice falling away, and rolled. “Oh..” he said, reading the number ‘3’ on his dice.
“You stumble with the weight of your carrying load,” Victor said.
“Can I help him?” Cam asked, “so he doesn’t hurt himself? Why don’t I take the egg to carry.”
“I got it!” Ezra countered, “You can take Bait.” he transferred the frog figure over to Callum’s figurine. It was Cam’s turn to scrunch up his nose.
“Really I should be holding the egg,” Layla said, “I have the highest strength of the party.”
“Actually I think Soren has the highest…” Ezra said.
“Well Soren’s not here, is he?” Layla said, “Hand me the egg.”
“No, no no no,” Cam objected, “No way Callum lets Rayla take the egg. He objects, strongly.”
“Oh, come on, Cam,” Layla whined, “We’re supposed to be a team! I’m just trying to think logically.”
“And I’m thinking of what Callum would say,” Cam said, “We’ve only known you for like, 2-3 days, Callum doesn’t trust you!”
Layla opened her mouth offended. “If Rayla really wanted to, she could have just stolen the egg, and what would either of you done, Mr. Mage with 1 ½ spells, and Druid who only talks to one animal? But the point is this is a peace mission, it means nothing from me, it has to come from you guys, the Princes of….what is this place called again?”
“Katolis,” Victor said.
“Right,” she nodded, “that.”
“I don’t know what your reasons could be,” Cam said, “But I DO know you’re keeping something from me, and so that gives me every reason not to trust you with the most valuable item in all the kingdoms.”
“I--” she interjected, “It’s not anything important, and it’s not to do with THIS. I want to protect the egg, that’s why I’m here.”
“If it’s not anything important, then why don’t you tell us?” Cam frowned.
“Guys…” Ezra interjected, getting their attention as they noticed Victor ominously rolling several dice.
They all stayed silent, staring in horror as to what might have caused this. “You all hear a rumbling from the top of the mountain,” Victor said, with a slight smile.
“Earthquake?” Layla asked, “Beast? Enemies? What is it?”
“I’m guessing it’s the beginnings of an avalanche,” Cam said, “Ok, everyone, let’s roll stealth to make it past this section without disturbing the mountain.”
The all rolled. Ezra and Cam both had decent scores...Layla, however, just stared glumly down at her ‘one.’
Victor’s smile grew exponentially, “So,” he asked, “What’s all of your speeds?”
